Great food, good prices, amazing mixed drinks, and fun atmosphere! Every Thursday night is Karaoke night. Must try the jerk chicken and steamed fish you won’t be disappointed! The staff is awesome too! Always fun, friendly, and exciting!
I've been constantly buying food from here since they opened a few years ago and never had an issue. Food was perfect. Great portions and tastes amazing. However, ever since the short older lady with the glasses took over several months ago, the food has lost its flavor and the quality has gone downhill. There must be a supply chain issue with the cabbage lately, too cause 3 times in the last 2 weeks, I've received gross and flavorless macaroni instead of the coleslaw I originally asked for. My fault for not checking before walking out with the food. Until the ORIGINAL lady with the adorable children comes back, I refuse to buy any more food from here.
Food was absolutely repulsive. Hands down the worst jerk chicken roti I have ever had. ZERO jerk flavour, Runny gravy that tasted AWFUL and smelled like it had gone bad. The cherry on top is that it was all microwaved…..I had asked for a knife to cut the roti, was told they don't have knives…. Service was terrible, very irritable and short with customer. Simply awful experience.
Drove by and spotted this restaurant thought I would give it try without looking at reviews. Ordered a large fried chicken meal, was very impressed by the portions and quality of food, I will definitely be going back !
It’s my first time to buy here since I saw in website it’s recommended but what I read and my experienced to this place is huge different. I called first and inquire about the price and sounds affordable, I called to make it sure that the food is cooked and ready to buy and go but when I arrived to the place, the small tray of chicken maybe 6pcs Chicken legs chopped u can see in the picture the girl charged me $80, the small tray of rice she charged me $40 and the large tub of curry goat she charged me $40 as you can see on the picture I uploaded that’s the food I purchased. It’s too pricey. I don’t know if the girl if took advantage cause no customer not even a single one and waited for almost 30 mins and standing waiting that seems like she don’t know what she’s doing. I came around 12:30pm to make it sure that I can just buy pay and pick up the food but it needed up taking so long and waited. Chicken was looks old and the small sauce the girl gave taste old and spoiled. Got stomach hurts went to washroom right after eating the food and threw up didn’t continue to eat my food as I feel sick having it on my stomach. The food purchased $150+ was down to the garbage. Who gave this place 5 starts might be their friends or family members ti support. I’m honest for my reviews concern to those customers so won’t happen same on my personal experienced. Not recommended this place. Totally disappointed here of the first time experienced.
This newer carribean restaurant has some good deals. Pros: $10 lunch specials, huge portions, and friendly cook. Got an fish item, the calloo and salt fish which was tasty enough Cons: but the rice n peas were way overcooked and mushy without much flavor. When I asked for hot sauce on the side, the girl pointed me to a small bottle with red hot sauce sauce on the side table, kinda dissapointed they didnt more more selection. Overall: I was really hoping for an amazing meal but fell a bit flat. Might come back to try a roti....
First time customer ordered from Skip. Huge portions of jerk chicken, rice and coleslaw plus a bit of pasta salad. Very tasty, not spicy. Curry chicken roti was the better of the two dishes. It had more flavour and a bit more heat to it. Patty was fresh and perfect. Definitely will be back. Wish they offered hot sauce on Skip. I'm sure they have it. 😋 Very good prices for online ordering. Total order was $25 and could easily feed 4 people even though I am just one guy. Lots of leftovers for tomorrow!
Stopped by to try their Goat soup. Cost was $4.99 for the small bowl (they have 3 sizes) and it was quite a decent portion for the price. The soup was very good and had a decent serving of meat and provisions (they could add a bit more though😊). Will be back to try another item. Went back to this spot and got a small curry goat with rice and peas and a slice of sweet potato pudding (total came to about $16). The winner for me was the pudding. Just the right amount of sweetness with caramelized edges and it was a huuuge slice. Certainly larger than the standard size served at other restaurants. The curry goat was standard but it could have used more gravy as I am usually used to curry goat having more sauce and oil. Overall, still a good experience at this restaurant and the customer service is really good too. Keep going Jamrock Reggae Jerk.

Festivals and plantain were perfect and delicious. The chicken roti was dangerous to eat. There were tiny bits of bones and cartilage inside, causing a choking hazard. Since this is the main dish, I think it should be the most important part of the review, which is why I gave it 2 stars. I ordered from here because I wanted to support an independent business, but all this place is doing is making me want to stick to the chain roti places, ruining it for everyone.
The food was so dry, no gravy, no flavour, chicken wasnt moist. Ill definitely not go here again. Their price is too high $10 for this, wowwwwww are you serious

Service is sus. Very short with customers. Opened up over an hour late. Easily irritable. Understanding of their own price list in combination with articulating it to customers seems to be an issue. Frantic and weeded while the store is completely dead (tumble weed level). Child blaring tablet behind counter (innocent kid) over conversation disrupting audibility only further agitating employee. Overall customer service is at the floor. I was looking forward to trying this place as I enjoy and love to support Caribbean restaurants but had to leave. Told them that there seems to be some sort of disconnect and the vibe is off, thanked them for their time and peace.

Nothing really exciting, more of a place to grab your food and go. My curry goat was very salty. My Korean friend liked her oxtail and jerk chicken, she doesnt eat Jamaican food often enough to have comparisons.
Nice clean small place with amazing home made food. They also have quality ice cream in the summers. We had oxtail, jerk bbq chicken and fried chicken all were amazing. It s our new favourite Jamaican food spot.

absolutely garbag. I ordered 2 medium food (one jerk and one fry). l the rice and peas was way too soft, too much water couldn t tell if I was eat rice and peas or sticky rice. the jerk chicken meat tastes spoiled like it was done few days ago and not to mention no seasoning was on it. let me not start with the fry chicken. i could tell that the oil they use to fry was very old, it seems to me that they forgot to season these chicken. the only reason I didn t give a ZERO STAR is because of the salad that was the only thing in my food box I could eat.

My entire insides are smiling and jumping for joy! The food was incredibly flavorful and it was very generous proportions! I will definitely be making this stop one of my most frequent visits! Had the oxtail meal. I m telling you that was the best oxtail I ve ever had! Fall off the bone tender, very flavorful & not over powering with hot peppers & spices! Tried the ackee & salt-fish too & it was beautiful! Love the boiled dumplings! My favorite. Also had the beef & bean soup & was pleasantly surprised it too had boiled dumplings in it!!!! I ll definitely be back soon!
Listen I m an honest reviewer! I don t know who is rating this place a 5 star honestly !!!! For one I got curry goat white rice asked for extra sauce my rice is dry! The goat is hard not tender . I got 2 jerk chicken why is the chicken dry? Like it s just a over cooked chicken not sauce on it don t even taste like jerk chicken the oxtail I got again the rice is dry when I asked for extra gravy the oxtail is tender but the flavour is not good at all! Never again 75$ on disgusting food !
Jerk chicken and ox tail meals were great. Lady gave me a lil Jamaican attitude just the way I like it. It completes the experience.

Went there today to satisfy my patty crazing. The filling was dry and hard, not most and not enough of it. The pastry tasted of, but fell part in a mess, not in a good way like you expect but more just undercooked in some parts, over cooked in others. Service was okay, the guy behind the counter seemed annoyed I only wanted a couple patties. Place looked okay I guess but overall this is my first and last time here.
Whos giving this place all the 5 star reviews? Jerk chicken was extremely dry. Some bones without any meat were just thrown into the container instead of being discarded. Rice n peas was mush. Theres no authentic jerk flava here at this joint.
Dont know why people knocking this place came for the curry goat and rice and peas nice and fresh. If u guys dont like the food turn on a stove and cook for yourself hurrying small business that are trying to make it. Will definitely return

The people here truly know how to make amazing Jamaican takeout, grilled Jerk chicken with the smoke flavour on the meat, beautifully seasoned curry goat and generous portions make this one of the best spots I have ever tried. I order from here at least once a week and they always come through with a 5 star meal

Horrible food- threw it out Chicken didnt smell like chicken even though its covered in sauce Tasted like old several days old fried chicken with sauce on it Oxtail tasted old and hard Rice was mushy Everything tasted like old microwaved food I felt like I heard a microwave running when I was waiting for the food and now Im definitely sure I did Ok fine microwave is minor however food tasted off and old nevermind tasteless it was old off food rotten food How dare they serve food thats several days old I rarely eat my own old food and definitely dont expect that from eating out Totally disgusting Waste of my money Ill just pray my stomach doesnt hurt from what I forced myself to taste

This place should be closed down. They do not know how to cook food. Food went straight in the trash. Chicken must of been a month old. This is not Jamaican food.

Jerk chicken has no jerk taste; very smokey and more of a BBQ chicken. No spice or gravy to it. Rice and peas was good, coleslaw was alright, tasted similar to a mayo/macaroni salad.
All the staff there look like they dont want to be working there. All of them have a sour face and dont acknowledge any customers with a smile. I ordered the jerk chicken and asked for extra gravy and I got a side of kiss teeth instead. The chicken tasted fairly old. Not sure what seasonings they use but my stomach was not happy with me. Many other quality Jamaican restaurants. And the food is super expensive.
The food is tasty the women was nice and they gave me lots of gravy foe my rice and peas which some places are stingy with. I would recommend this place.

First time trying, and I ll definitely be going back again. Food was so flavourful, and so many options to pick from. I had the goat soup and it was AMAZING, I was scraping the container for more !!!! Also tried the ackee and saltfish, the best ackee and dumplings I ve ever had. Great prices. I highly recommend !

Great little spot! I got the curried goat and it came with coleslaw and pasta. The salad was a little bland but everything else was great. I also ordered festivals but they were out so I got fried dumplings instead. Next time, Ill try the roti.

Where do I even start! Jamrock just opened up but I believe it will be a staple in our community very quickly. The food is so delicious, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. I got the Jerk Chicken with rice and peas, and my partner got the Oxtail. The meat FELL OFF THE BONE! I didnt even use cutlery! We will definitely be returning and eating through their entire menu. Just a heads up, bring cash to tip as there isnt an option to tip on the credit/debit machine at the moment. We didnt know that when we first ordered so well have to remember for next time. And there WILL be a next time ahaha

I love the food at Jamrock Reggae Jerk! Lots of flavour, great portions and great food varieties to choose from. My personal favourites are the rotis, but all of the meals on their menu are great options! Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars for this restaurant! I look forward to getting my food from here, again! Simply delicious!
We just had the jerk chicken w/rice and peas, jerk chicken roti and curried chick peas - food was absolutely delicious. The servings were substantial and just enough heat. We will definitely visit Jamrock Reggae Jerk in the near future.
1st time checking out JamRock! Ordered the porridge n a beef patty. It was AMAZING! I were looking for breakfast and instead of going to Tim Hortons I decided to support a Jamaican local business. So glad I did. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Definitely grabbing dinner later!

Festival is perfect! Fluffy dough festival and Tinnel s beef patty are reliable snacks for the morning time. Or, if you want to have Callaloo or Ackee and salt fish, these two dishes are morning time favourites! Did I mention the porridge? Next time! Great cooking in this place. Under $5

The best jerk chicken hands down !!
I have been here twice now and had the jerk chicken. Portions are big and the taste was alright. It definitely needs some hot sauce to spice it up, which costs $2 for a small plastic container (Rip Off!!!!). For a small Jerk chicken with rice and peas, and coleslaw, the price is $10.17 (Expensive!!!!!). I get that prices have increased due to the pandemic, but there is no need to take advantage of the customer. Will definitely not be coming back to this place. Not worth it for what you pay. Better order in advance because the service is slow.
Food is absolutely delicious and I ordered from this place 3 times in the last 2 weeks, $10 for a chicken roti and free delivery for orders over $20. I go to order today and theyve jacked the prices so roti is now $12 and deliver is $2. So now Im pay $4 more for the exact same thing than I did a few days ago. If youre going to increase prices maybe only do 1 thing at a time and not so drastically. Everyone is broke (restaurants and customers) but this kind of hike now makes you non-competitive. Update. Food continues to be so delicious every single time. Definitely worth it.
