This place is a hidden Gem. I’ve been here a few times when we go visit my parents in the area. Very friendly people and the food is delicious!
Web page says they deliver to M2R, however, Skip won't accept order because it says outside delivery area. When informed the restaurant they said there was nothing they could do. I have ordered previously but now for whatever reason it will not accept.
When it comes to finding authentic great tasting Jamaican food, I highly recommend this location. Iam big on breakfast and when it comes to breakfast they never miss over here. They always give proper portions and right amount of provisions & as a customer you always want to feel like your getting your moneys worth and I always do when I spend my money with this establishment!
I was seriously disappointed today .. I've been to this restaurant quite a few times spent a great deal of money here, but today was my last time the staff that we encountered today was less then ideal he was very dry and it felt like he didn't want to be there . The food it was swimming in oil no saltfish just alot of onions the dumplings were oily .. We've been sick all day because of it (1st thing we ate today) so glad I didn't buy the liver. The lady at the front lacked basic customer service skills. I ordered the curried goat, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. It tasted more like turmeric goat than curry goat. I couldn’t finish it and had to throw half of it away. It was definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be ordering from here again.
It seems like they’re known to just do anything and send you whatever they had. Ordered jerk chicken here which gave me a bad bellyache. The chicken was definitely from the day before, and definitely not fresh. Just reheated and sent. People have stomach issues and doing this to them is definitely foul. Do better.
I totally agree with some of these reviews. I’ve been in the restaurant and the service was pretty decent. However, I’ve order from this place more than 20 times. Most of my orders were okay. I love their fried snapper and most of my order is 2 of those fish, dumplings, festival, plantain etc. As some reviewers mentioned. I’ve ordered because and it seems like they didn’t have enough meat so they just give you a whole lot of gravy. Ridiculous. I really hope they brush up on the service. But they lost a loyal customer. Because I ordered a lot from them. I’ve had this restaurant made substitutions without even asking. Like who does that? What if I’m allergic. One time I orders some tamarind balls and omg a few was opened and it had gravy in them. First off the food this hit and miss. I literally cancelled the deliver service because of this place. I placed an order because it shows that the restaurant was taking order. Only for them to cancel it 10 mins later. I then had the worst customer service with the delivery app. I wish I had saved the photos. But I really hope they use these reviews to improve on their service. I will not be supporting this place anymore and would not recommend.
This is absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. If you run out of the food, just cancel the order. But to send this to a repeated customer is a disgrace on you. 6 pieces of spinners aka dumplings and 2 pieces of bones with minut fragments of what is supposed to be any meat. Come on guys. A complete disgrace on you and waited over an hour for the delivery.

Customer service from a older brown lady with glasses was despicable, face turned up and screwed did not acknowledge me and another customer, I walked out after standing there for how long and will never come back to patronize this establishment.

I visited there for the first time in 2020. Their food, in my opinion, was good then. The jerk dinner was not so much great as 2020 and checked before leaving as they intended to serve small chicken .

I always order porridge from here I can t get enough, the flavour is exceptional!!!, they just need to remember to turn on the ordering app sometimes but other then that, food is soo good!

I forgot this name but the gentleman at the front was so polite. Professional food was great it s so nice to walk into a Jamaican restaurant and get costumer serves. He definitely went above and beyond. I will be visiting again. They had some amazing Avocado
Honestly some of the best Jamaican food I ve had! I usually ordered the jerk or fried chicken. They give you a lot of food and they are friendly, which is appreciated.
I love to order breakfast here I get ackee and salt fish or the porridge with festival/dumpling. It s really yummy and also the dinner I love all their food
I order small jerk pork $10 what a disaster. 4 faty pieces of jerk pork with lots of dry rice and two pieces of pork absolutely a joke. Not recommended at all.

Could be better. I ve tried this place just once on a whim after going to the gym and the reviews to me intrigued me. Sadly it did not live up to the hype but maybe it was catered to a more niche audience that enjoys it. But from a neutral pov, the food was more on the dry side, the portions wasn t as generous for being a local shop rather than a franchise, the customer service was definitely not the greatest as she looked fed up / tired of it (Wasn t inviting / friendly). The place itself didn t look the cleanest as well but regardless, not a place you want to sit and eat as the environment wasn t created for so. I love myself some jerk chicken with rice and peas but this was a poor representation of the heritage as it really had no seasoning and was more bland, even when I asked for extra gravy, it was still tasteless. I gave this a 2 star because it can be improved but for me, that s the highest I can give it for now. It has no social media presence and wasn t busy in terms of traffic so I know they only get a few regulars rather than new customers.

I m not Jamaican but, I love Jamaican Delicacies so much. I used to eat at sunrise and I hate the attitude of staff there, and even their food doesn t taste good. however,I discovered montego jerk restaurant food is so tasty and staff are kind and respectful . I love the akee and salt fish. I enjoy the entire menu.

the look of the inside of the restaurant doesn t make you wanna eat there but the food is good, so. i have OCD so i was crying while waiting for my food. but the food was amazing. please clean and straighten up.
I am not exaggerating, this is the slowest restaurant I have ever been to. The staff should be embarrassed. Avoid the fish.

We had Oxtail, Gongo Peas Soup , Stew Chicken , Bammy, Festivals and Dumplings and Peanut Porridge for breakfast I. The morning it s 10/10 and the cashier was hilarious . Our new home

Our go to place after a yearly Canadas Wonderland trip. Bit of a hike from there but so worth it. Jerk Chicken on rice w peas(beans) is outstanding. Expect a bit of a wait and the traffic around the area is atrocious with all the construction but still worth it. Great staff too.
I want to be supportive of North Bay s family own restaurants but I expected too much for jerk chicken in Northern Ontario. The chicken didn t have much flavour, or spice, no peas in the rice and the oxtail stew just tasted like powered gravy. Not to mention it was 18 dollars for a large, and the portion was very tiny. I understand it s expensive to operate a restaurant nowadays but it was not worth it. 50 dollars for two meals and two doubles, I won t be eating here again...

Food was extremely bland. Jerk chicken didn t even taste remotely like jerk. Only thing decent was the ox tail and plantains can t really mess up plantains.
Stop using microwave to heat the food when it s in the foam box and stop serving overnight food to customers, y all need to do better

I honestly thought this was a good place to eat. But clearly its not which restaurant gives you food with dry rice and no gravy. This place is no good go there at your own risk.

Very disappointed in the quality and portions of this restaurant. Right away I can tell my beef soup was previously frozen and reheated I can smell the sourness and taste it. So unfortunate that the flavour in the soup and the curry goat was nada.
Great service, excellent tasty food, today was salted fish but i have gone through most of the menu and it is great all around. I would say one of the best Jamacan food restaurants in Toronto.

Its very rare to see a restaurant with these practices survive for so long. Everything ordered is fresh.... Freshly heated in the microwave that is. Safe to say I wont be coming back. Go to Kings Delight, Lloyds, Sunrise or even Living Well for a better Caribbean experience.
This little restaurant is BIG! I wanted to try their curried goat and Jerk chicken. I was immediately accommodated with a mixed plate by the friendly staff, who also suggested my rice and bean and coleslaw sides. For less than $15, I received a take-out meal beyond my expectations. It was truly delicious.

Cashier woman is very friendly and customer oriented, the food here is amazing! Although the oxtail is mediocre for the highest priced item.. everything else is great and prices are reasonable. I wish they were located in the food court so they could have more business but definitely beats all Caribbean food places around this area.

I cant help but share this place with any family, friend or co-worker who is in the area. The food is so fresh and tasty without being over-salted. The prices are quite reasonable compared to other resaturants. But the thing I love most about Montego is the service and the staff. A West Indian restaurant with genuinely polite, customer-oriented staff? Didnt know that existed before Montego! They remember you, do their best to accommodate you, and they make all their customers feel valued. Its my go-to spot whenever Im in Toronto.
