Brought to you by the owners of a renowned restaurant that has operated for more than 40 years in South Korea, Koryo brings the true taste of Korean cuisine to Toronto! We are a family owned restaurant and opened up the restaurant to share our passion and love for great tasting authentic dishes. Our first location opened many many years ago at 5865 Leslie Street in a small plaza. Our signature dish is the famous Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, which is also known commonly as Koryo Samgyetang in English.
Authentic Korean cuisine. I love their sweet and spicy deep fried chicken.
The few times we came, we ordered the hot stone rice which was tasty. This time we ordered the seafood pancake which was delicious and crispy but rather small for the price. I must mention we enjoyed the variety of appetizers and the girl server was so friendly and sweet.
Located in the Pickel Barrel Plaza in the south east corner of Leslie and Cummer. There is plenty of parking with some accessible parking close by There are plenty of seating options for any sized party. The staff is very friendly and quick to seat you The menu is very straight forward and has a nice variety The food is well presented and well seasoned. There is some salt on the table to add to your desired level which I appreciate. Will come back for further exploration of the menu options
Not good any more. The soup came out burnt, as you can see in the photo. When I brought it up to the server, they repeatedly insisted that this was “normal,” which was hard to believe. No wonder the place was empty. I won’t be coming back here again.
Food: 3 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 3 Stars Overall: 3.1 Stars I recently dined at Kosam with a friend, and while there were some positives, there were aspects of the meal that left room for improvement. The main courses served were fairly standard for Korean cuisine—nothing out of the ordinary but decently prepared. What fell short, however, were the side dishes, or banchan. The selection was limited and didn’t cater to a diverse palate, which was somewhat disappointing given their integral role in Korean dining. On a brighter note, the inclusion of a complimentary bowl of soup with the option for refills was a welcome touch. It's always appreciated when restaurants offer these small but significant perks. The pricing was average for the type of food offered, aligning with typical rates for Korean meals in the area. The restaurant benefits from free parking available on site, which is a plus for anyone driving in this busy part of town. To improve, I would suggest expanding the variety of side dishes available. Ensuring a broader range to choose from could enhance the overall dining experience and cater to a wider audience. Overall, my visit to Kosam was decent but there's certainly potential for a more rounded experience with some thoughtful adjustments. kellychan360
I recently revisited because it was one of my friend's bday dinner and he wanted chicken soup. Tonkatsu: Honestly, this is prolly more worth it than the koryo samgyetang. The cutlet was huge and juicy. Koryo Samgyetang: Bruh. $25.99. Hell no. No way. Tastes exactly the same as before but there is no way in hell this small bowl of chicken soup went from 14.99 to 25.99 even factoring in recent inflation. Daylight robbery imo. Seafood pancake: Surprisingly, this time the seafood pancake was MUCH better than the one I had on my last visit. Is it worth 18.99? HELL NO, once again. Wayyyy overpriced. True to my word I've gotta award 3 stars after coming back. Knowing what they USED to charge for food vs now is a travesty. The food selection at this location is also not as expansive as the one on Yonge St. I can't see myself coming back here on my own. You feel hungry after dining and flies flying out of your wallet as well to top it off. The food is not mind-blowingly good enough for me to award higher than 3 stars.
This is a Korean restaurant, mainly serving dishes like Kimchi soup and Korean mixed rice. As a Thai person, I have to say that the taste is very ordinary. Korean restaurants in Bangkok are tastier, have a wider selection of menus, and are much cheaper. However, for Toronto, where most food is tasteless, I must say this is already good enough.
Good authentic Korean restaurant. I tried their beef and chicken cutlet rice dishes. Servers are attentive and respectful. The dishes are on the pricier side compared to other Korean restaurants, but they do give large portions. The Leslie location has less menu items available than the Sheppard location.
Not good anymore. Chicken came out over cooked in the ginseng soup. The place was stingy with the side dishes and insisted there was no more when we asked for seconds. Overpriced and will not be back again
This is a Korean restaurant I ate after driving all the way from Sydney, Nova Scotia to Toronto. It was the most delicious Korean food. Stir-fried makchang, air rice, pork bibimbap, and sheep gomtang (?) are really spicy and delicious. The side dishes are all delicious and the staff are friendly and nice. I want to come again next time. May you prosper for a long time~
I would give -5 if i could. Ordered samgyetang on uber for $28.99. Didnt taste any ginseng. Chicken and soup both tasteless. Chicken meat was dry. Couldnt finish it. Had to order pizza.
Great taste the chicken soup was really good
We prefer this location over the Yonge location because there is parking and suitable seating for larger groups, in that wall bench seating is available.
I visited around 8pm on a Saturday with my family and my husband. It was a little noisy, but the food was all delicious!
I ordered a hot stone bibibap, and when it arrived I genuinely thought they forgot to add the meat. I got a hot bowl of rice and veggies, with a tablespoon of unidentifiable crumbles. That was the meat. It didnt even resemble ground beef. It had no flavour... I wonder what they fed me. I was so hungry after.
Food is overpriced. Tiny little portion and tasted like shot.
Great proginal Korean food. The soups are excellent!
FOOD: Pa Jeon Seafood: large size with quite a lot of seafood in it. But its not as crispy as its supposed to be. Tteokbokki: the rice cake is very good, it stayed soft and chewy for very long times which means its fresh and cooked properly. But theres way too little sauce that after a short period of time the rice cake soaked all the sauce in, and it became a dry tteokbokki dish. Portion is also very small.
Hot plate vs. Cold plate ? I recommended cold plate option
I ordered food, but the quantity was terrible for the price. It didnt taste good. It really needs improvement.
Great food, friendly and considerate service, free parking. What more do you need? This is a great family friendly spot, easy to access, with a huge variety of items to please everyone. We had pork and cheese tonkatsu, fire chicken with cheese, honey butter fried chicken, beef tofu soup, dumpling soup, spicy rice cake and pork tofu soup. The soups were a little less flavourful than I d like, but they provide salt for you to customize to taste so that perfected it. Everything else, including the appetizers was delicious and so fresh. The service was so considerate, they wiped down the high chair before our child sat in it. I highly recommend eating here.
Ordered the green tea samgyetang I paid $30 for some boiled unseasoned chicken that I couldve made at home myself for a fraction of the price. Not worth the cost at all. Food
Nice Korean restaurant with good and tasty food . The waitress was friendly and it was easy to have a reservation Food
Great little Korean place. The food is so comforting. The take out menu is great as well.
A cozy place to dine, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice; the presentation was nice, and tasted great. Nothing out of the ordinary but otherwise a good dish.
We went there with few of my friends I ve always loved Korean cuisine but I m so disappointed in this restaurant I will not come back here and will not recommend the service was good but the restaurant and whoever is serving the food needs to step up their game I ordered stir fry squid with soup and they brought out the squid it was in a stone bowl 70%rice and 30%squid that s ridiculous also it s 20 bucks I thought the rice would come on the side that s not how they advertised on the menu I go to owl of minerva all the time and they charge 15 dollar for half rice half squid with egg on top that s WAYYY more then this idk why the CHEF didn t fill it up to the top I can see the bottom of the bowl later they brought the soup the soup was so watery and tasteless I can only taste the pepper the chef is so stingy with their ingredient the soup was supposed to include beef but all I saw was 4 pieces of small cut beef strips VERY DISAPPOINTED don t waste your money coming here nothing wrong with the service but the chef don t know what they re doing
It was open on Christmas Eve, so we went for a late dinner for 2. We had the $21.99 raw veal bibimbap and the $26.99 green tea samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup). The green tea flavour was strong and a bit bitter, overpowering the chicken flavour, which we didnt like. We liked that the bibimbap came in a hot stone bowl, which added a bit of flavour to the dish. The side dishes were great, and there were free refills. We liked the potatoes in particular.
I ve been having weekend lunches since 2018 here. It was 5/5, but now, with smaller portion food, 2-4 dollar price increase. I got wrong food the first time, they missed the sauce for Tonkasu. The qualify of food is going down hill a lot. Good luck.
First time ask a dol sot bibimbap take out. Finally I got the cold raw food. Even the raw beef. Question, is it dol sot bibimbap? And before order I already ask it is hot or not. If they tell me take out it is cold. I wont order it.
I visit this place often enough to go once or twice a week. Today, both the chicken feet and makchang were undercooked. They were too tough to eat, so I called and was told that they were cooked that way. I feel like Im going to stop walking.
Great food; tasty and neat presentation. The current male server is probably the friendliest one Ive seen in awhile. Ive been to Sheppard location once but mostly this original one; both seems to be the same in terms of food. As a Korean, there arent many Korean joints at all to recommend in Toronto as I find most of the places simply dont offer good Korean food to represent but I would take my friends here. Theyve expanded their menu significantly; I havent tried new ones yet.
Ridiculously overpriced $25.99 for their signature samgyetam. Just WOW
4.5, just because no such as perfect. I love the friendly service. Food: quite authentic and taste good. Love serving plates and all the details. Comparing the variety of menus, this restaurant has few items hard to come by in other restaurant. Beef tartar bibimbop, samgaetang(ultimate K chicken soup), makchang which is available in small portion. Definitely a restaurant to visit again and again.
The food is very close to real authentic Korean home cooking. Yanggomtang (beef soup) is such a heartwarming dish without strong seasoning. The service is very good as well. Never disappoint!
Hearty authentic Korean food. It s just perfect and it always hits the spot. Side dishes are outstanding and service is great too.
There arent many Korean joints at all to recommend in Toronto as I find some of the places simply dont offer good Korean food to represent but I would take my friends here.
Very pricey for the portion sizes and quality compared to other places. For reference, my kimchi fried rice was $20 (before tax and tips), which is more than any Korean restaurant Ive tried downtown. Many of the items were lacking flavour entirely, such as the chicken soup (which just murky water with some scallions in it) and some of the side dishes. There is table salt available but thats not something anyone should have to do if eating out at a restaurant. One of our party wanted to get the beef removed from a tofu soup dish to make it vegetarian and they said they couldnt do that. I dont understand why, as a dish cooked in a restaurant, it was not possible to fulfill this kind of request. I would not return here, nor recommend this place for anyone looking for Korean food in the area. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
Its somewhere between a 4 and 4.5. The side dishes were refreshing. I recommend their signature chicken soup, although the chicken meat has no bite but that is a sign its good soup. The tebokki was inconsistent (5 percent hard ones mixed in the perfectly chewy ones). I personally dont like the metal cup, i cant pick it up and enjoy the tea.
Visited on Feb. 23rd, 2023 in plaza on Leslie and Cummer. Great food and service. Highly recommend. Parking: Plaza parking.
Food is ok but a little pricy. The boy waiter ignored us when we called him many times. We still paid reasonable tips (15%) regardless but he didn t even say thank you after we pay. Will not go there again for sure.
Ordered take out. Its not cheap. They forgot the spicy sauce for my bowl. Called and they told me to drive back and pickup the sauce. I am 20 mins away. They will give me a free pop.
Not even good for 1 Soft tofu soup tastes very bland. Their black bean and kimchi sides are very salty. Cabbage with gray mayo sauce is icky. Not worth your Also, the table are very close to each other that you can t even get in between tables without putting down your bag. If you re alone, it looks like you re eating with other guests because the tables are too close.
i ordered through ubereats. portions were pretty small especially considering the pricing. taste of the soup was pretty bland to be honest, and the seafood pancakes were mid. not very impressed
The kimchi fried rice was tasty. Fried dumplings were so good. Remember to add cheese on kimchi pancake.
The servers here eat during their meal times. Since I dont care what the customers need, I dont think I need to tip.
I am a person who rarely leaves reviews. But today I want to say a few words. Because I like this restaurant. I ate samgyetang, but there was no ginseng, only one jujube, and maybe a spoonful of sticky rice. Also, the broth wasnt too thick, so it felt closer to spicy soup. The chicken was so small that I think I only ate a few spoonfuls, but there was no more. I feel like I lost more than the money I paid. Sometimes I visit because I want to eat samgyetang, but I dont think Ill ever have the desire to go.
One of my favourite restaurants!! Been going for years.
Early in the evening, the three of us ordered perilla samgyetang and asked for an extra set of side dishes, but we were refused and there were no perilla seeds in the perilla samgyetang. There is no sincerity in the food compared to the price. I never want to go again.
The food was great, good price and portion. Would have preferring if the restaurant can be a bit brighter and the overall cleaniness of the place needs a boost...
It s clean and delicious^^ Parking: Its in the mall~
A little overpriced for what it is and a lot of items on the menu aren t available at this location (majority for the Yonge location) Nonetheless it was still delicious!
Not good experience. Steel wire hiding in the dish. Luckily my son refused to eat that I founded.
Yanggomtang restaurant
Quiet, unassuming little cafe. The hotpot is delicious, clean, fresh and the sevice is lovely. Simple and authentic. Will return for certain .
Awesome authentic food and service. Convenient parking is a bonus
Solid spot for classic Korean eats. Their seafood pancakes and stews, and beef and vegetables are all good picks.
I made an order online and obviously the staff forgot to confirm with the kitchen. When we arrived, there was no food ready and the staff (young boy with curly hair) gave no explanation and apology. He just ignored us. It was one other female staff helping us instead. She was very nice. She apologized and kept saying it was her fault (actually was the boy s obviously). Still the boy showed no apology and pretended being busy. Shameful.
Taste so-so
I am here in Toronto for one week, looking for long-term accommodation near the area, which is the restaurant location. Today is Valentines Day and passing by here, I decided to walk in for my dinner even Im alone. The waitresses are professional as hospitality staff, as the Ontario discipline during the pandemic, they enquired about vaccine passport. Meanwhile, the dishes are come up so quickly, can you believe that all the appetizers are complimentary and even you want more after you finish. The special seol lenog tang is rehabilitating my emotions as in the harshest Winter here, especially when I must study hard as well as I can. Consider that every International student must have been feeling alone in an unfamiliar country, but sometimes maybe just a soup such as here supply can make you feel like back the home.
DO NOT GO. The worst Korean food ever. I had their special kosam samgyetang and it was so bland. I couldn t finish it but wanted to bring it home. Accidentally left it at the restaurant but realized that on my way home. I called the restaurant 10 minutes after leaving the place thinking I can go pick it up but they lied and told me nothing was left behind then hung up on me. The SERVICE was absolutely horrible and the waiter+waitress was just talking amongst themselves when we were the only guests in the restaurant. I used to go to the Shepard location quite often but because of this horrible service I will never come here again.
We had the spicy chicken bibimbap and it was amazing! Great food overall would go back next time im in the area
Taste, quality, and atmosphere is good.
One time business. Not recommend. location: Leslie and Cummer SAMGYETANG is good. compare the one I had in Korea. STIR-FRIED food full of onion, meat portion are very small. Teeokguk, rice cake in soup taste awful, too soft. rice cake soak in soup for certain time before cook/serve. Worst service, barely remember to serve water. even we call waitress several times. It wasnt a busy day.
Everything tasted so good!! Cold days you need hot broth foods and this is one of the places to consider.
Love this Korean joint in my neighborhood. 5 Star is not enough. Its super delicious. Other than the fact that the portion is a bit lacking, it s really good!!
Last week I bean same restaurants on Young & Sheppard order same boeuf soup.it taste better more meat big bowl. .today I went to store at Leslie. Really disappointed small bowl few meat less nodded. .I shoud take pictures. I show them last week I went same Kosam I have pictures. ..so better go on Yong Kosam..not Leslice. Kosam. .
Still upset they give small.portion soup charger same price other place same owner ..only little meat & nodded cost 20 $$$ will never come back to this store . Rather go far Kosam on Young ...
Friendly staff. Food is nice. Nice set of banchan too
I have always liked this bibimbap. Today I ordered the signature ginseng chicken soup. It is a very light soup and tastes pretty good. The service is very good, but the price is too expensive. Also, although there is fried chicken on the menu, it is not available in this store, only at the Yonge Finch branch.
Yummy food and good service. Had an amazing experience.
Samgyetang was great, meat was still moist. I also ordered a raw veal bibimbap. Bibimbap was pretty good, and they gave me as much sauce as I needed. Went at 8 and it was still pretty busy, banchan was not bad.
Been here twice and the food is excellent! Service is also great.
I dont normally say this, but the food here is kind of lacking in seasoning (esp salt). There is salt on the table lol but we probably wouldnt come back here. Btw I got the veg bimbimbap (removed egg bc vegan), and my husband got some kind of non-spicy soup with teokbokki
always friendly, very fresh!
Had their special take out 12.99 came to 14.89 or something like that. The amount of food it came with was okay, I was expecting a little more. Their other main dishes were a little on the pricy side, but what do you expect this food is hard to make and takes time. I appreciate the staff for helping me choose what to have for my first time. I had the kimchi rice it was really ferment so if you like that go ahead. I give that a 7/10 would come again to try their squid.
Great tasting Korean food. Though the price is a bit high, you will eat great tasting authentic Korean food.
Tonkatsu was really tasty! Friendly staff.
I gave it 5 stars because I really liked the main dishes. Clean taste... :) I think it would be good if the side dishes were a little more seasoned. Even if the cucumber seasoning and radish kimchi were seasoned a little better, it would be a perfect restaurant!!! ^^ It was a bit bland. Japchae is a bit sweet for my taste. ^^
One of my favorite Korean restaurants. Good service and hearty stone pot rice dishes. Totally worth the price.
After eating at this Korean restaurant, I regained my confidence in Korean food in Toronto. Compared to this one, all the fake Korean restaurants on Yonge Street are garbage. Highly recommended!
I went to have a nice meal today, and after taking the order, the yellow-haired server sat down in front of the customers and was on his phone. It was also uncomfortable to see people cursing loudly while setting up a group table. During the meal, they asked me to pay first because opening hours were over and they had to go home from work, but I felt bad when they tried to add a side menu, so I just did it. And after paying, I waved for more water, but he pretended not to see me and ignored me. I wondered if this was why they received payment first. Todays service was the worst.
I placed an order, marked two utensils needed. But they forgot to put utensils in it! I am traveling in this area, staying in the hotel! After I called, they simply said they cannot send the utensils to me. Extremely bad service.
Service was good. Food was not to our liking. I came with my family. Soup ordered was bland, rice was a bit too spicy, but I guess to each their own. Side dishes were good and staff were friendly.
Vegetarian bibimbap was good, wish we had it in a hot stone bowl but because of Covid that s not possible. I had the spicy rice cake. Wish it was more on the dry side and less soup based but I think that s how the dish is made. Overall, good choice for takeout.
They give you a whole bunch of side dishes, thats nice. But they mistranslated Gom Tang (i.e. Beef Bone Soup) to (ie. Pork Bone Soup, or Gamja-tang) in Chinese. The correct translation for Gom Tang in Chinese should be instead. This has caused me to order the wrong item (I ordered dish G2 and was expecting Pork Bone Soup), Pork Bone Soup is spicy but Beef Bone Soup is very plain, thats a huge difference (aside from being different meat).
i tried their samgyetang ( chicken soup) and Dak-bokkeum-tang. It was really good. above average! Definitely recommend if you wanna have really good korean food. i ll go back again to get those two soon!
Best authentic Korean restaurant by far in Toronto, probably my favourite home Korean food place
Ordered the Seol Leong Tang (beef bone-based broth) and their take-out special O Jing Eo (Spicy Squid) Dupbap. No side dishes are given, so dont expect any. Seol Leong Tang, smells great, however, FLAVOURLESS, literally. Its just drinking hot water. The beef brisket slices are extremely tough and dry. Theres suppose to be knee cartilage in this as well, and only a single small piece was found. O Jing Eo (Spicy Squid) Dupbap, also quite FLAVOURLESS, but has slight bit more taste than Seol Leong Tang. This was very unexpected because this is clearly cooked with the spicy red pepper paste, which should explode taste buds of sodium rich, spicy and peppery flavour. This does not, except only feel the heat. The dressing on the cabbage salad included in the same bowl is also FLAVOURLESS.
The fried chicken at KoSam were dishes I enjoyed. It is pricy for what you get. The reason for the 3 stars is their website. If you go to their website they list their two locations and provide a link to a menu for each. The problem? They share the same menu but they dont both have the same items. Take for example the Leslie Street location menu. It lists fried chicken but it doesnt sell it at that location. You would have to go to the Yonge street location. So ask yourself, why did they bother with 2 different menu links? I dont know and cant understand their logic. 3 stars for the decent food but the it is pricey.
The BEST bibimbap in Toronto! Take-out is just as delicious and still comes with the side dishes.
Still going strong with tasty chicken soup. Even its a bit pricy, Around $20 per bowl. But it worth the money. Not everyday meal, but once in a while, it will be a great choice.
The food has consistently been good and I like how they allow you to add your own salt to the soups. They also make the best seafood pancake.
The food is really authentic and delicious!! Highly recommend this place! It s a hidden gem
Great customer service and it is delicious. Chicken soup is very good
Great food and good service
Its delicious
Great spot for authentic Korean food! The chicken soup is excellent and there is a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian bibimbap. The entrance is wheel chair accessible and there are tables that can accommodate a wheelchair, in addition to the booths.
Everything here is good. Food is excellent. Service has always been great. I mean... what more to say... Restrooms are clean. One of the first things I check out when I go to a restaurant is their washroom. If they arent taking care of the restrooms, then you think theyre taking care of the kitchen?
Some items on the menu are only available at yonge and sheppard location, any fried chicken and cheese tonkatsu. Food was average. I ordered the dol sot koryo bibimbap, which comes with assorted vegetables, york and ground beef. I couldnt believe how little proteins they sprinkled on top, the ground beef was so tiny that I almost thought it was sesame. I will never come back to this location. The portion is disappointing for the amount of money youre paying.
Good place to quickly pick up Korean food.
Food is crazy fresh, good sides, and excellence service. Plus they have matching bowls and cutlery if that matters.
A small restaurant, but has friendly staff and probably one of the few Korean restaurants that offer 6 different side dishes! Seafood pancake was VERY good (extra crispy and lots of onions).
The foods were so so. Staffs were very kind and helpful!!! The only one thing is I would like to suggest that they should add more appetizers with cheaper price and smaller amount of foods.
The staff was very welcoming, really liked there spiced rice cakes, dumplings and fried rice.
I really enjoy their food. Seems like I will soon become one of the regulars
Still good as always, although I usually only get the bibimbop. The atmosphere is good as well
This location always stays on top of their quality and taste. Never really had a bad experience with this restaurant. Good quality food. Enjoyed it everytime. Definitely recommend!!
The good was good.
My partner and I live nearby (moved to the area a year ago) and we get takeout from Kosam at least once per month. The food is always fresh, delicious, and so... Comforting. Also, their selection of little pickles / salads that come with many of the mains are wonderful. My favourite are the little dried fish in a hot and sweet sauce. We regularly get the beef bulgogi takeout special and the vegetarian bibimbap. Editing to suggest to the restaurant that they consider adding a vegetarian option to their takeout special. That would be awesome.
Really tasty food. I especially loved the way they prepared the eggplant. Delicious.
We randomly went to this place and it s so surprisingly good! Actually it s better than a lot of Korean food restaurants we have been to here. We didn t order their gijseng chicken soup but they gave us one along with another dish we ordered and it was super good. We come back here a lot in the future
Got the bibimbap... It was ok. Service was nice
Quick stop for a delicious comfort meal. The cold dishes were on point too.
Love this place. The food is consistently great. Tried a place closer to me and was very disappointed so I will continue to drive an hour to Kosam
Had the chicken ginseng
Authentic ginseng chicken soup served fast and piping hot. This plus the excellent service and a cosy, casual atmosphere make this place a must try for those into Korean soups and stews.
This is a restaurant specializing in samgyetang. The side dishes are delicious and the samgyetang bibimbap is delicious.
Had Samgyetang there. Bubbling hot with rich flavour and not salty at all. Attentive service. Very authentic Korean restaurant. Will come again.
This store is absolutely amazing favorite korean restaurant ever
Delicious Korean food with nice friendly service! Their side dishes are especially yummy, and my favorite dish here is their spicy chicken stew (see picture)! Super filling with the perfect amount of chicken, noodles, potatoes and rice cake!
I absolutely love their ginseng chicken soup! This place is cozy and the service is great. Will definitely come back again!
I have been here many times and this is the best place to enjoy Samgyetang, which is the S1 ginseng chicken soup. It is made with a whole cornish hen from a farm in Ontario. Look for the chunks of real ginseng and all the other little ingredients that elevate it from Samgyetang served at other restaurants. You will taste the quality and authenticity in the ingredients and preparation. Note that you may add salt to season the soup to your taste. I also had the G3 special seol leong tang beef soup and O3 seafood and green onion pancake which were good although the Samgyetang was definitely the star of the table. The complementary side dishes were an excellent addition to the meal. In particular the pickled radish cubes were seasoned perfectly and were at the perfect point in fermentation where they still had a snappy crunch with each bite. The little anchovies were also seasoned well and the little bits of garlic stem and crunchy peanuts made for contrasting complexity. The tableware was traditionally Korean in style just like the Yonge Sreet location although the decor of this restaurant is not as up to date and the seating not as comfy as the banquette and chairs at Yonge. There is free and plentiful parking here, though, which could make a difference for those driving. I find the Samgyetang here to be a wonderful dish for a winter dinner. I hope you do too.
It was tastier than Yeouido Panax. I was impressed
Great ginseng chicken!
Good Korean stew.
One of my favorite local eats. Side dishes are great. We love the hot pan dish (pictured) with chicken.
This restaurant has a different name (Koryo), its not Kosam anymore. The prices are a bit higher than average Korean restaurants (average: $13.99-$15.99). Be prepared to spend at least $25-$30 per person. The food was good, but nothing different or special from other Korean restaurants, where you can spend a lot less.
Its okay
Food was amazing!! Will definitely visit again to try other dishes!
Delicious food and friendly and courteous staff.
Great takeout deals! The food is fair relative to other Korean restaurants I have tried.
If you bring your underage child or your friend forgets to bring an ID and ask for a alcohol drinks for yourself they will not offer, and you can feel their meanness when you ask. the servers all have a bad attitude whether its the waiter or the manager
Worst tasting k.soup ever
Take Out specials for $9.99 includes a drink. Great taste, great value. I usually call in advance and conveniently pick up in approx. 10 mins.
Fast service, with Korean staff and chefs. Its not the best Korean restaurant Ive eaten at, but the service is good, the food is good and the prices are great. My wife and I eat there about once a month.
Excellent quality
I was impressed at the look of the restaurant inside. Clean, organized and very nice atmosphere. The food was great and a good portion size. Beef bulgogi had a nice strong ginger and soy flavour, beef was perfectly thin, and rice served under had absorbed all the juices. Will come back for more lunch specials!
Awesome kimchee fried rice! Friendly service!
One of the best place to have Korean food. Had hot stone beef bulgogi dupap. Yummmmm!!! It comes with many side dishes. The staffs are suffer friendly
The phone number doesn t work and they closed 20 min early so I could order.
You can enjoy delicious Korean food such as samgyetang, bulgogi, and bindaetteok. Its a bit expensive, but its delicious.
This place has awesome bibimbap! I love all the sides they give you as well.
Great food and service! One of the best Korean restaurants in the area :)
Super cozy gem nestled in the plaza here. The staff is friendly, and replenishes the side dishes upon request. The soups and sides (mung bean pancakes especially) are delicious, and perfect as we head into colder weather. Their food travels quite well, so I d recommend supporting this small establishment through takeout.
Good food. Excellent side dishes. Would go again.
This was one of my go-to Korean restaurants before COVID. I really missed their Samgyetang, so I ordered as a take-out. Their Samgyetang was okay for the price, but the side dishes were very disappointing. It almost looked like they were leftover from another table or something.
Its a good place to try Kerean Ginseng Chicken soup and Yang Gom Tang. Side dishes are also yummy.
Great side dishes and ginseng chicken soup
Garbage waited for 40min to get my food.
nice
