The other menu items are okay, but the kimchi stew is not so good. The kimchi itself in the stew wasnt very tasty and I dont know if it was kimchi stew or steamed food.

Terrible and rude service, the senior Korean lady is very rude and give you attitude if you are a young Asian girl. And my friends and I both had diarrhea. I m so disappointed with my friends, this place used to be so nice and an amazing place in the neighborhood but not the same anymore. Kind sad. Won t come back for sure.

Honestly, my favourite place to go after a late night karaoke session with friends. They re always open late and I get the same few things each time I go and it hits everytime.

Food is delicious. However, I ordered Soon tofu stew with Pork, I got only 3 porks and even if considering fast faced environment, service was mid. At least, I dont think its difficult to say Thank You for the tip. The food is delicious, but I ordered pork soft tofu stew and I got 3 pieces of pork. The other servers were friendly, but I think the female server should basically say thank you when she finishes paying or gives a tip. Overall, its disappointing.

My foreign friends wanted to eat samgyeopsal, so I went there. The taste wasnt bad, but the price was more expensive than other restaurants, but it was really bad to tell them that they had to pay a 15% tip as soon as they sat down at the table. Dont tarnish Koreas image.

Came here with some friends and we ordered the Korean pancake, tonkatsu, and pork bone soup. Everything tasted great and the service was amazing. The food also comes with a variety of side dishes that are refillable.

My boyfriend and I wanted to order one order of the BBQ table-cooked beef, but we were forced to order two orders if we wanted to do table cooking. I found it to be way too much for two people. We were also advised that a $15 gratuity charge would be added, which seemed nonsensical since they didnt cook and serve us like other restaurants. We will never come back again.

Honestly, this is probably one of my favourite restaurants in the city. It s very no-fuss. The food isn t mind-blowing, but still very tasty and reasonably priced. The kimchi chigae (kimchi stew) and bossam (pork belly) are especially good. They give you a lot of side dishes too! It can get really busy, so the service could be a bit slow at times, but I ve always had really nice servers. I ve been here probably over 20 times throughout the years, and always leave full and happy. Definitely recommend this place if you re looking for a quick comforting meal, or just late-night eats!

Ive visited this place several times, and they consistently offer a generous variety of side dishes and large portions for each order. The food tastes decent at an affordable price. Its a cozy spot, perfect for grabbing a quick meal or dining in with friends.

I use to like this place. But recently. They automatically add the tip to your bill. Never coming back here again. Please improve your stupid system.

The thing is, customer service is everything. When my food came, I noticed a small problem with my dish and they did every correct. They remedied my problem, and even gave me a new dish all with a smile. Definitely would recommend a place that prioritizes customer service.

I have visited this place with my friends and has no problems eating at this place until I had their food and started vomiting not even half an hour later. Which resulted in me getting food poisoned. Also the lady that works there is super RUDE and RACIST and always gives us the bad stares. When we wanted to pay separate bills she started talking with an attitude and looked at us rudely. The food takes long compared to its quality. We went there because there was no line but there was a reason why there was no people in there. She gives us poor service but forces us to tip. Overall, such a bad place and would not recommend. I would not be going there again.

This restaurant is my Korean comfort food.

It might not look much from outside but its actually pretty good. Service was fast. Got served the banchan right away. And they were yummy. I really liked the fishcake & the japchae. Really unique way of ordering. The quantity of the food is a lot. We ordered jeyuk bokeum, bokeum champpong & tangsuyuk. The first two were amazing, especially the jeyuk bokeum. The tangsuyuk was a little too sweet for my taste but it was something I had wanted to try for a long time, so glad I did. The ambience was alright. Nothing to write home about. Just a cozy hole-in-the-wall kinda place.

I would order more through UberEats if you re-added BEVERAGES onto your menu!!!

So, heres my experience: Me and my friends decided to check out this spot for some food, you know, switch things up a bit. Gotta say, the food was like a solid 4. Not the worst, but it ll do . Our server was ok, I guess. She did her thing, but when we needed stuff like utensils or more water, it took her a minute. No biggie, we get it, its busy. But heres where it gets real shady. When it came time to pay up, nobody mentioned a mandatory tip. We paid in cash, thinking wed get change back. Nope. She straight up told us that was our tip. Nobody told us about tipping, and even if they had, with that attitude? No way. Were just a bunch of students, trying to enjoy a meal after a long day of classes. We get the hustle, but if thats how they roll, they dont deserve our tips. Weve been to other restaurants where tippings mandatory, but AT LEAST they give you a heads up. Not here, though. In the end, we didn t argue back as it was getting late and we were pretty tired, so we just gave them the tips because we know that, this will be our last visit in this restaurant.

My usual is pork bone soup. Been having it for a few decades. I know how it taste, how its made and the quantity of materials. They gave me hardly any pork bone and the pork bone was under cooked. Came here in the past many times....never again. This place has really gone down the tubes. Update the following morning: I do intermittent fasting, so the day prior to eating this meal I had eating nothing. Only consumed water and 1 coffee. After eating this meal I had mild diarrhea in the morning. Not sure if it had anything to do with my fasting.

My recent visit to restaurant left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As a vegetarian, I ordered fried rice without any meat, while my friend opted for ramen. However, the real letdown came at the end of the meal. Despite paying the bill in full, she questioned why I hadnt tipped. When I politely declined, she became agitated and demanded I contribute to her tip. Out of sheer frustration, I refused, and to my astonishment, she threatened that I wouldnt be able to make changes to my dishes in the future. Such behavior is not only appalling but also unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and not coerced into tipping against my will. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and Ill be hesitant to return to restaurant in the future.

My family has been going to this Korean restaurant for a decade. Their pork bone soup is their specialty. Their sides are unlimited and good!!

Every reviewer that condescends non-tippers need a desparate reality check. I love tipping and many times have no hesitation tipping upwards of 50% when the service is impressive. While the food here is decent, its not worth being condescended to by workers that hardly notice your invaluable patronage as a customer, let alone worthy of tipping. Ask yourself this: Would I tip an establishment that puts me second? Sorry tipping culture, but sometimes the greatest tip is no tip for a restaurant that clearly needs to rethink their business model.

The food in this place was really good, they served delicious side dishes but the only thing I didn t like was their customer service. Once I finished eating and I payed the bill the waitress looked at my bill and asked me for more money to add to her tip. One thing I hate is people asking for tip, it s very unprofessional and it ruins your experience in the restaurant. I would honestly come back to this restaurant if their customers service wasn t so bad.

Very nice atmosphere. Marinated beef BBQ was good. Appetizers were good. Service was good. They were friendly and helpful. With the customers they were serving, it was understandable that they do not engage much or smile all the time. Only disappointment was the soup was not seasoned but the rest were fantastic! Kid-friendliness: Servers were engaging to kids and always minds what the kids needs.

I was impressed by the variety of food, unlimited side dishes, quick response to customers, and friendly attitude of the servers. Even though there were a lot of customers, the servers were very considerate and I will visit again in the future.

Holy hoo-haw! What an experience, entered the restaurant around midnight on Saturday and left after about an hour. Amazing to think we can get such good food this late into the evening truly meeting people s cravings. Spicy pork bibimbap, bulgogi bibimbap and dkuk boki are definitely note worthy and enjoyable. The fried chicken .not so much Service was chill nothing special

Authentic korean restaurant. Could use a revamp of the menu and expand it to include a lot more traditional korean dishes. Taste was on point and the service was great. The dishes that were unfamiliar were explained thoroughly by our server. We will be back if we are around the area. Could use more promotional deals and some more marketing.

Good comfort foods. Attentive wait staff. Pay parking lot behind the building. Steps from Finch Subway Station along Yonge on the south, west corner. Washrooms are only accessible through stairs. Keep in mind that prices have increased quite significantly since this year.

It is a quiet and homey atmosphere, a place where friends and/family can hang out and enjoy Korean cuisine. I absolutely recommend it.

There s not much Korean people in the restaurant, their soup tastes just like I made at home lol. Anyway their dining table includes a bbq area, for groups of people they have serval personal dinning rooms too. But their menu is pretty normal, seems like a fast food restaurant.

Its a simple place, but they provide an excellent food with a fair price. Also we dont wait too much to start eating. We also like the staff - pretty friendly and respectful. And the extra: there is a green p parking tight behind (the side street) of the restaurant and we dont need do worry about to gain ticket since we can use the app to park while enjoying the food there. Or we can go to the FINCH subway station which os located 50m far from there or 1mnt by walking (I believe).

No star actually. The elder korean server was so rude. She didn t understand that we ordered extra rice for a side. Next thing we know that she brought 6 side dishes and a meal we never asked for. She called us crazy bitch mishin yang in korean and pointing fingers at my friend who didnt even order from her. What kind of server call their costumer that? The cashier lady was also rude. The food was good but the crazy old lady makes it a horrible experience to dine in there.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Did I mention, excellent food? Ordered the Bulgogi Bibimbap. Generously portioned, hot, fresh and the table side gochujang is always a bonus for a spice-lover like me. All tables are set up as booths, so youre given that extra bit of privacy when dining with friends or a date. All tables also come with a call-button so it takes away time spent flagging down a server. They come right to you when you need refills on anything. Ive been here twice in two weeks so that should speak for itself, if its any reflection on the food/service. 20/10!

It was my second time going to this place. The first time I dined here was great, which is why I suggested to my friends that we go here. However, what me and my friends experienced was horrible customer service. The food taste good, but when we asked for one of the side dishes to be refilled, the lady grudgingly took the little dish and came back sliding the side dish a little roughly on the table. There were four of us and we only asked for one side to be refilled so why the unnecessary attitude? Also when it came time to pay our individual bills, one of my friends gave no tip, but the lady felt the need to humiliate my friend and essentially us by asking loudly why there was no tip included. She kept repeating this question but we were just speechless by her brazenness. If the customer service had been decent, we would have happily justified a bigger tip but the overall experience was meh. We went home upset.

This restaurant has always been my favorite. This is my first Korean meal after landing in Toronto. Although the taste is not amazing, it is still quite satisfactory! Personally, I still like their food very much. Every time I come here, I can see a group of us teenagers sitting there with dreams of studying abroad and imagining the future many years ago! Heard about this place, decided to give it a try as a late night snack. Food was good and the servers were really friendly. I like how they kept refilling our side dishes and asking if we needed more without us asking. Only thing missing from this place when we dined in was some music, way too quiet.

I come pretty often since I live nearby and the food is pretty good, but the service is not amazing to say the least. Every time I ve gone they seem to be lacking in service. Recently when I went this time it was pretty good up until the end where the women asked for more tip and why we gave so little. While I explained they had little to no service which is why I tipped lower than standard she assumed the food was bad. I told her that tip is not mandatory and is dependent on the service. This kinda seems like a rant but yeah, if you like Korean food i d say this is a pretty good spot if you don t mind the service being meh.

Korean restaurant opens till 3am, went here for soups like cabbage kamjatang and kimchi kamjatang, bulgogi , etc. The calamari its not worth the price for 7pcs. Food is ok quiet pricey though the male associate were very nice on the weekdays were not so busy , weekends a bit full.

They were dirty, had strong foul odor and poorly lit. Good luck in finding a parking spot on the street or in the parking lot behind Shoppers Drug Mart. I came there at 8 pm on Tuesday, but I still had to wait more than 15 mins to finally get a spot. Itll be better next time for me taking a subway to get there, as its just a stones throw away from TTC Station.

Though the food looks good in the way of presentation however doesn t have a taste on it. The place is dark and cozy with rude waitresses. You love the food or not, you are forced to tip them with rudeness. Never going to this restaurant again.

The japchae I ordered via DoorDash is too salty. I think there is too much soy sauce as the color of the noodle is too dark. I cannot eat it. Unfortunately no refund for me. Wasted $20 for this. This restaurant used to have a good food.

One of my favourite Korean restaurants that also opens late night hours, the food SLAPS. Amazing assortment of appetizers and an incredible yuk gae jang. The workers are really pleasant and kind. They offered a large group free appetizer refills which isn t normal in most Korean restaurants (you normally have to ask). I ve been here multiple times and the customer service and food never disappoints. I wanted to write them a review because of this. Underrated late night Korean restaurant at yonge/finch.

Came here for dinner with a group of 6 on a Friday night around 9pm. We were sat extremely fast in a private booth, the service was fast overall. As soon as we hit the button we had a server immediately. We ordered 5 Pork bone soups and 1 Kalbi order with a side of rice. Food and banchan came very fast. Loved the fish cakes, japchae, cucumber salad and kimchi especially. Pork bone soup was spicier than normal (definitely a plus). I found the Kalbi was a bit chewy and the pork bone soup was lacking a depth of flavour.

Visit: September 2023 The staff was quick whenever we needed anything. We found that some of the menu was confusing on pricing and options, such as when it asks to choose a soup and you are able to sleect multiple soups at no cost, and any quantity, which wasnt actually allowed. The meat and marinade was pretty good, but there wasnt much for the price we paid. For ~$55, we got 8 pieces of pork and 6 pieces of marinated beef, with a kimchi stew. The meat pieces werent all too big either

Sitting there, self ordering food on tablet, then for at least 10mins with no water and can t see any server. Very bad experience. To server if you are expecting customers self serve themselves completely on tablet including water then please dont expect any tip. The 10% tip is for the kitchen staff as well as the dish washing person.

This is the firts time i eat in this resturant and this my last time,i heard some gossip that this resturant is always pushing the costumer to pay an extra for a TIP we give already a tip but they have amount for a tip and that is cost of $ 15 CAD!!! And for the management please tell to your staff learned how to do the COSTUMER SERVICE without any extra charges this is not good what is the sense of your good food if they cannot give a good service without any charges,and i hope that your rude staff can learned also how to communicate the people with good attitude!!

The food was okay but the way the servers treat their guest is unbelievable. This guy server was VERY RUDE. My boyfriend took a napkin that was stored on the front, but then he came up to him telling him that he should ask a permission because that is a restaurant s private property (direct words)?! Made a scene just for a napkin?! + FORCING PEOPLE TO GIVE BIG TIPS! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!

I dine in today with my friend. Everything was fine until when I got my bill to pay. The server forced me to pay the tip and said it is mandatory to pay the tip. After she forced me to me to tip she slammed the dishes and left.

Before visiting this restaurant, I was worried after reading the reviews about tipping. But the servers were really friendly and nice. Now I dont understand the people complaining about tipping. When you ask them to give you water, utensils, plates etc thats called SERVICE. When you ask them to give you side dishes which is not FREE, thats aslo called SERVICE. And when you ask them for service in restaurant, you tip. Thats how it works in Canada. If you dont want to tip for no reason or you cant afford that couple of dollars as tip, Just cook by yourself at home, do take-out or even go to mcdonalds. Then no one will force you to tip :) Ive been working as a server for 4 years but Ive never seen this ridiculous people that tip 2% and saying SERVERS FORCE ME TO TIP Guys, thats not even tip. The food was really good - kinda expensive compared to the amount of food. Everything was good except when I got the bill and the server said have to tip 15% - which is completely ok to me cause the food and the service were good, i said yes sure then i looked at the bill and just asked if the tip include in there yet cause usually if tip is mandatory it s gonna be in the bill but im not sure so i just wanna make sure plus i wore lens for whole day so i couldnt see properly. Food quality s totally different. I was really disappointed all side dishes were tasted different and way much salty, so does the two main dish3es we ordered. This was a nice Korean restaurant right near Finch Station. You can order directly from the tables tablet which was convenient, but I wish there was a search option. Curried Chicken Katsu was superb, as well as their Pork Bone Soup. I love the side dishes too! This place is mostly open throughout the day and night. There werent many people at night, so it was a peaceful dinner.

Ordered through Doordash and the food was amazing. The Spicy Pork BiBimbap was a good amount for the price and came with 4 tasty side dishes (tofu strips, seaweed salad, glass noodles, kimchi). The gochujang sauce was super flavourful and the pork was tender. Best spicy pork Ive had in a while. The Fried Deep-fried Gyoza came with a tangy spicy sauce that was different and delicious! Cant wait to try more from this restaurant.

Why are they forcing their customers to tip a lot and be rude to us? I dont know if the owner knows this kind of attitude and customer service.

The food here is amazing and portion wise is quite filling. But the only issue I have is their customer service. It s honestly upsetting how, once I ve paid my bill and the server forcefully asks me to add more from my tip is ridiculous. I have no issue but to ask me to add more because it isn t enough? It s sad to have you re employees force customers to pay more from tipping when, what s the point of having the option of choosing how much to pay? The lady that served me seriously didn t deserve that tip if she didn t say can you add like 4$ more.

Service was good but the soup was really bland (as you can see in the photo). Their quality of food has decreased in my opinion. And the price has increased so much it s totally not worth it now.

Many people complain about this place. Lot of good reviews are probably fake! As Korean, they have worst korean food ever. Customer service is poor. Unless you want to waste your money and day, don t go here I am warning you. This place is going to shut down if they don t change anything.

Excellent food, great environment and i liked the hospitality of the employees, this is a great Korean Restaurant if you want to go with friends to chat or to go alone to enjoy the food. Would go again.

The food is good compare to other Korean restaurants. But I do not recommend to B.B Q combo here; pork and beef are served a little bit frozen and not too special. Bulgogi hot pot is very sweet so you may consider to oder it. Steam pork is very very good. I dont even taste the fat in it. Highly recommend to try it. We had a good time hangout here though.

Ive had Korean food all over Toronto, and this place has the best Gamjatang in the city hands down. I find that their Ban Chan is best in the area as well. The service is very quick and friendly, but might slow down if they are busy. Overall, Ive had very positive experiences here and has been a favourite of mine for years.

Really delicious, less expensive and good atmosphere

Black bean noodles were bland and overcooked. Sweet and sour pork came with 8 thin straps for $20. Had to throw out the noodles completely. Paid $36 in total, wouldnt even pay $5 if I knew it was going to be that bad.

Their food is great, I have nothing against it but their costumer service is awful :((( some of them are fine but most of the time they are so grumpy and I feel like they don t want to serve us. Lol

Not coming back here!! I asked for the lady for the bill, did pay and gave her a tip. After asking for the receipt, she then said to give more tip. I was in shock after those words! I gave her based on how satisfied I am and still she ask for more! I then asked is it mandatory for you to ask that amount! I guess she didn t understand me but in my 17 years here in Canada, Inever this happened. I am not against with tipping, but it should be according to your SATISFACTION!!

I enjoyed the seafood pancake here. The chicken herbal soup was very light (in plainer words tasteless) but I guess its supposed to be a healthier dish so went along with it. Salt was provided to add flavour though which was good. Server was accomodating and kind.

Service is decent, but food is amazing. Their side dishes are delicious especially the kimchi and fish tofu. I love their grilled fish here! Definitely recommend. Their pork and chicken Katsu is great too; love the sauce that goes on top of it

The old lady rudely served us, slamming food onto our table, and whenever asks for service, she just gave us dirty looks, as well as forcing us to tip when TIP should be VOLUNTARILY. We do not have problem giving tips but her service was just not it, it was horrible, and very rude.

The server of this restaurant is rude. We ordered appetizer and a few beers and the server raised her eyebrows on us. When we checked out i gave a tip but the server demanded a 10% tip. Food is not good, service is not good. Not going back to this place.

I visited Nak Won for dinner at around 530 pm on a Tuesday and was seated right away (party of one). It wasnt too busy when I got there but filled up as the time went on. Service was efficient and friendly. If youre not familiar with Korean bbq and/or Korean restaurants, youll be left alone to enjoy your meal. If you need a server, there is a call button on the table. I ordered the Tookbaegi Bulgogi (marinated sirloin in a hot stone bowl with veggies and glass noodles) and it was delicious. The bulgogi had more (black) pepper flavor than Ive had before, but I liked it. The portion was huge and I had enough to take home. The dish also comes with a side of white rice. The banchan (side dishes) were also great. Japchae was included, which is my personal favorite. The goguma (Korean sweet potato) was SO good, too. Sweet and delicious. I had a great meal here and would definitely return the next time Im in the area!

The dishes are little bit expensive, but the service is really good. I don t mind paying more while having a meal in this restaurant ..

This place was something else. We asked for separate bills and every bills has tips on it, but the server was asking us why two of the bills has 15% tip only! 1st of all the food was really dry, 2nd the rice was really hard, and 3rd all the food was over priced. This was the 3rd time I visited this place. And they really forced you to give them a big tip, like my bill was worth $23 and I think they re expecting me to give them $10 for a very bad food. Just so you know tips is for satisfied customers if they enjoyed the food and had good service you ll probably gonna get good tips, but if not then you have to understand why they didn t give you tip or they didn t give you enough tip so that think which one to improve. You work in a customer service environment you should you know how to satisfy your customers.

I ve been going to this homey Korean spot ever since I was 14. It s set up like a old time family restaurant, very reminiscent of the ones in the suburbs of Seoul! The workers are all so kind and honestly the environment feels like your mom made you food :) one of the best spots in the winter for some soup or a really healthy meal with out spending a fortune! I never write reviews but one had to be done about this place.. walking in the servers had already gave us dirty looks and while placing the food down, she was slamming it onto the table. We had asked for more water, she proceeds to give us more dirty looks. After paying the bill they re demand for 15% tip, saying it is mandatory. They re forcing us to tip when TIP should be VOLUNTARILY. We do not have problem giving tips but her service was just not it, it was horrible, and very rude. Also if tip is mandatory, it should be added onto the bill already. The food itself is extremely dry and overpriced. Overall horrible place and experience, please do not go here.

Amazing experience. Check the menu and enjoy variety of foods with mouthwatering side dishes they offer you more side dishes on the same price. Friendly servers and people.

The food was very decent. But the expectation was very unpleasant. The store manager/owner was yelling at the server and the whole restaurant was hearing all of it. I went to ask for the manager to provide my feedback and the server was asked to take my message as the manager was busy in the kitchen.

Went here with some friends visiting from Arizona. Service was amazing, we did hot pot with bulgogi and food/ flavour was out of this world. Thank you so much for the amazing experience! This place is open late too! Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian options on the menu Im not going to bother listing them, just check out their website. Dietary restrictions: A lot of the starter dishes they serve are vegetarian and fermented non-meat foods. Parking: Parking behind the shoppers drug mart at the end of the block, finch station if you dont mind walking and paid parking behind the plaza. Wheelchair accessibility: street level entrance though halls leading to table are a little narrow inside.

I get takeout from here a lot and its always great. My favourite Korean restaurant in the area.

My fiancé and I have been coming in here for yearssssss now! They have great service and they have many food selection. Gamjatang (reg and cheese) , bibimbap, donkatsu are our top 3 favourites plus their unlimited side dishes! We def recommend!
