Got a lot of quality Kosher food w/o getting ripped off like everywhere else in Toronto. Late night order for delivery and got everything right. Has sales/promos often. Very pleased.
1st visit was a disaster Saw all the good reviews decided to try again 2nd visit even worse How can a diner not make a good burger? Oh and those reviews are the owners friends so don't believe them. Dont waste your money on overpriced garbage Even heard the manager saying he didn't care about the quality, he literally said it's kosher they will eat what we give them! Better options just steps away
Came in 5 minutes before close and the manager not only served us with a smile on his face but the food was fantastic as well. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Amazing service. Good job to this management team/employees.
One of the best burgers I’ve had in town! Highly recommend this place.
I must express my utmost appreciation for the exceptional care provided by the manager during my recent dining experience. Late on a Thursday night, when most places might falter, the manager's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction stood out. The heathy steak salad I ordered was a testament to the culinary excellence of this establishment – a perfect blend of flavors and quality ingredients. The dedication to maintaining high standards, even during off-hours, speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to excellence. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot and look forward to returning for more delightful meals that are truly worth the money invested. The superior quality and the manager's attentive service make it a destination I'll enthusiastically frequent.
Went there for bagels, but did not see a menu for it. Seemed like a place for burgers. Ordered a schnitzel burger combo, fries were great and good portion, but the schnitzel could have used a little bit more seasoning, still good though. The two young men working there were super nice and provided great customer service! Overall, sad there aren't bagels anymore, but still good food and tables outside were nice. Had a beautiful lunch.
Hard to see if your not paying attention but I'm glad I was . This is a small dinner offering some unique food options at a fair price . It's been open now for about a year and it's off to a good start . If you like supporting small businesses rather than franchises then come on in and try this place.. I had the poppers.. ( chicken bites ) I enjoyed them they were cooked nicely and they were definitely fresh and good quality chicken breast. The young gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful.
I decided to try their colourful bagel with cream cheese and lox (Salmon, for those of you who don't know). It was a bit pricey ($10.50, I believe), but if you are looking for quality you will find it here. You get what you pay for- here, that means one hell of a good time. Also tried the red velvet cookie- very good!
Great place with a huge menu!! Will be back. Thanks
Food was delicious Good portions. Little expensice for the kind of service offered. Food : 5/5
We went on a Thursday night and the hippie was excellent!
Cashier was really nice he gave us a free sample while waiting for food. The food was excellent we will come back
Great Service!!!
They are super fast and I always enjoyed it Kid-friendliness: They are super nice to kids and say lots of jokes Food : 5/5 |
Amazing cozy place with delicious food like grandma made it
Best kosher food in town!
I dont know who is giving these rave reviews. I ordered the mexican burger. The meat was tough and grissly. The bun was stale and I should have realized it when the man asked if I wanted it toasted. The toppings were gross and they didnt even wipe the smeared avocado off the top of the bun when serving it. The atmosphere is lousy so you would expect good food at least. The food was worse than the decor. This burger cost 18 bucks. For 18 bucks, you had better darn serve a good burger. Your name is DINER . If a Diner cant serve a good tasting burger they are in trouble. Dietary restrictions: The restaurant is kosher.
Great food, even better new location! Food was amazing and came out quick. Dovi and sruly do an awesome job keeping the place well maintained Additionally, someone posted a review complaining about the staff ignoring a middle aged man wandering around the restaurant. This guy is actually an older man who s unwell and bubbys hooks him up with free food
Delicious food.
Totally disorganized as if they weren t ready to be open. On a bone chilling day the door was kept wide open as furniture & equipment removed. Food was okay but no self-respecting New Yorker would call it a deli. It isn t. It s not even a real diner. It s a burger joint with some kosher dishes, mostly geared to take-out. Zero ambience.
Definitely the best onion rings in Toronto Food : 5/5
Loved the chicken fingers
Pleasant and quick service. Burger very overpriced for the mediocre quality. Onion rings were a great since kosher ones are usually diced onion. Large serving. Unfortunately they were barely warm and either overcooked or cooked in old oil. Overall, mediocre, overpriced, but glimmers of hope.
This was a munch! yummers! its like I always used to say, if there not kosher then they are a poser! love this place authentic kosher food. will be back!!!
Woowwwwww Just delicious, delicious, delicious Amazing service and sweet people love them very much
My wife and I came here on a whim for lunch, after shopping for tiles in the area. The rating was 4.2 which is pretty decent. I generally only frequent places with ratings of 4 or greater - and this is one of few places that I ve gone to that was definitely overrated. The $18 sub was way over-priced ($12 would have been far more appropriate). The Caesar salad was a decent size, but was anything but a Caesar salad - the only thing it had in common with a Caesar salad was the lettuce and onion. The place was dirty - tables and chairs weren t clean. No excuse for that especially since the sit down area wasn t busy. The chairs are the ones you might keep in your garage if you run out of chairs for a card game - rusty and rickety. The manager then comes around to sweep the floor and while doing so is bodychecking you. If this wasn t enough, the service was painfully slow - and I bet it s because they are geared to large local takeout orders instead of walk-ins. I rate them 3, tops - actually 2, with an added bonus point because it s my birthday and I m in a generally good mood. Bubby needs to swing by and take a look at what s going on because the current staff need a talking to.
Authentic Jewish cuisine at Lawrence and Dufferin. Dietary restrictions: We didnt inquire about Kosher but the Conservative and Orthodox Jews present strongly suggest it is. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing place. A hidden gem.
Went for delicious take out, quick service and good food.
It s fine but prices can be better
Cheap eats. Nice staff. For what it is good value for money.
Very good cheap take out
Very good food at reasonable prices
Amazing food and a good price, the workers there are amazing
They DO NOT have bagels. Even though their sign clearly says it. They told me to go elsewhere for them ! It s a burger and fry place.
Would not return. Washrooms were dirty, messy, cluttered. The rest of the establishment looks a bit out of shape, in need of a decluttering, cleaning.
A very generous three stars. No bagels, no bagels, no bagels! Despite my travelling a long way and a sign that says New York Bagels; no bagels! Staff didn t really even react to the confused middle-aged man wandering around the restaurant looking for bagels; left without any interaction. All this said, the customers eating New York burgers (?!?!) appeared to be happy.
Weird place, guy doesnt reply when u ask a question!
Great place for dining reasonable pricing, COR supervision.
Great food..great people
Usually I like them. I made a decent sized order today through uber. I paid delivery and service fees. The food came cold and stale. There were no sauces with the sushi or the french fries. The tuna melt had hardly any tuna or cheese. The pizza bagel was made with a small amount of sauce and cheese that covered only half of the bagel. I was very disappointed.
Despite some frustration, the food was excellent - especially the wings. A few things to note - parking is terrible - which was frustrating as they were struggling and behind schedule inside. When you order on the app they don t give you an estimate of when your order will be ready - though I m sure that will improve with time. Lastly, multiple restaurant workers were not wearing masks which made me personally very nervous as we have some very high risk immunocompromised family members living in my house and I found this extremely disrespectful to me as a customer as those family members lives are at risk. A bit disappointing - but all things they can easily fix when they get their act together.
Best tasking food in toronto . I love the poppers and wings . I tried the new Bubbys homemade burger last time I went and it was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Food was tasty
Friendly and fast service, nice menu.
The place looks great but the service is a little bit slow.
the eggs were unacceptable and girl who was attending didnt prepare what I ask I will never go back to this place
Service ok , bagels decent
Huge variety of bagels! Love the Salt Bagels!
Amazing
Delivers as promised. NY style kosher bagels and fillings. Yummy dessert.
The food is delicious, great service!
Friendly staff and good food. We had a nice lunch over.
Awesome!!
Should have shared on their website that they are no longer serving bagels, for a place that includes bagels in its name. I walked 15 minutes in the cold rain to get here just to be told that. Customer service used to be amazing up until a couple weeks ago. Really disappointed.
Love these bagels. They have the boiled chewy goodness of the Big Apple. Sheer deliciousness.
nice crispy bagels
Found this place to be overpriced and so-so quality. I purchased a bagel with smoked salmon and a coffee which came out to $13. Would buy the coffee again, but the sandwich wasnt worth it. There are less expensive things on the menu.
THE BAGEL HAS LANDED!!!!!!!!!!! Toronto a world class City is simply NOT a bagel city There are a few ok places Newyork bagels YES VARIETY YESSSSSSS IF you know sage bagel in Florida and boiled bagels ( don t know for sure if they boil;but the freshness is sealed in !! Just as you like for next dayssss and freezing !!) HAPPY DAY !!!! Two locations and growing and in a few supermarkets You don t need to be kosher to love this stuff !!! Thank you bubbis everywhere and newyork !
Delicious
great
Very quick and tasty
Great food, quick service.
Everything is delicious here. Had the breakfast, everything was cooked to perfection and they have really great coffee! Definitely coming back.
Nice place
First time visiting today. Purchased an egg salad wrap. It was okay.. not worth the price. The girl that crashed me out needs to work on her manners. Instead of properly asking me to repeat myself she said huh. I then asked her a question regarding the bus stop in front of their store and again she said huh. Bothered me a little because Im always talking to my kids about manners and I would think she would know to be a little more respectful at work.
This was an unexpected discovery when looking for a medical clinic (next door). Bagels, pasta, wraps and more. Friendly and Kosher too. Ill have to go back again before I make a final recommendation, but there seems to be a cadre of regulars who speak highly of this place. I was a little disappointed as the selection of bagels was poor as I seem to have too late, it too early. Many empty bins. But again, maybe my timing was off.
Awesome
Great breakfast, plenty of good options and yummy food.
