I have to say, I am so disappointed that I ll probably have to come back here in the future, as many of my family and friends keep strict kosher, and gourmet fleischig options are so limited. The employees know this too, which is why they get away with the type of service that does not exist in the real world. We witnessed two distinct parties in our section (larger tables too) arrive after we had arrived, be served, finish and have their table cleaned, as we are waiting longer for a coconut pie and water refill to come out than we had for the entire main course. There seemed to be no problem attentively checking on the neighbouring tables throughout their meals, giving them water and getting their food out. Manager attempted to rectify the situation after we had complained, which we appreciated somewhat but I am just struggling to understand why my $500 is not the same as the next guy s. The amount of tips these people make, I expect a lot more.

Although not promptly seated, we had a most enjoyable meal. Dietary restrictions: Fully.kosher, of course. Food : 4/5 |

Second to none Kosher Steak House. My wife and I went there strictly Kosher, but a good steak house dinner.. The place was elegant and our hostess Tina was delightful. I had the tomato soup and Delmonico steak and my wife had a Caesars salad and the beef short rib dinner, we also shared an amazing Maple infused Crème Brulee. The food was worth the reservation and the ambiance was just right. We will return to this place when we visit Toronto again.

We were disappointed today. The restaurant was overbooked and our food order came to us cold. The wait staff did their best to smooth over the situation, but when you pay prime avenue prices, the expectation is for much better.

We waited one and half hour for our food and eventually had to leave because we just didnt feel like eating anymore

Honestly, its pretty good. Its kosher which limits the menu, but not the quality. I think the steaks could use a bit more finesse as in better sear and no unnecessary spices, and the sides need a bit more complex flavour, still over all a solid 4 stars!

Prime on Avenue hosted our intimate wedding reception last year. Arthur and his staff were excellent. They adhered to all of our needs & helped made that night a memorable one. A year later our guests are still raving about the amazing food they had. The food was flavourful and cooked to perfection. Could not recommend this restaurant enough whether it s a simple dinner out or for a special occasion! Vegetarian options: The cauliflower appetizer is SO good and the perfect sharing portion. Dietary restrictions: Some of our wedding guests were vegan and the restaurant had tasty options! I myself don t eat meat so I opted for the salmon and it was delicious!

This place is very good. Its also very expensive lol. My boss took us out and paid for it, so i dont normally get to experience restaurants with prices like these but i definielty enjoyed it. The drinks were good and i shared this big board of steak and multiple sides with a colleague. I think it was over $200 but it was yummy lol. If this place is within your budget Id say its worth a visit. Dietary restrictions: I believe this is a kosher restaurant so good for those that follow and good for those with dairy and lactose intolerance.

Prime has an outstanding restaurant Ive eaten steaks all over the world And they get first place from me for the steaks I have never tasted such a steak in my life Simply heaven on earth Delicious, amazing, juicy, wow, just the way I wanted it to be The prices are high in the restaurant But like I said, every cent is worth paying here And Im not talking at all about their other dishes which were just a shell But the steak... extraordinary! Came for an anniversary dinner. Service was excellent, salad and steak was superb. Our waiter was very attentive and brought us a variety of yummy sauces. I was disappointed with the smoked meat. At 100$ a dish it needs to be tender and flavorful, half the meat was dry and some even burnt. definitely not melt in your mouth as promised. Overall great food, large portions and nice ambience.

Prime on Avenue is a really good restaurant. Food is great, atmosphere is really upscale and the service was really as expected. I recommend you try out this steak/smokehouse wether you are in town or passing by.

We went their for my birthday and my brother in laws birthday. Ordered Chefs special cut and asked for medium rare, it looked nice the sides were great, but it was pretty much cooked and dry. We asked for it to be redone as it was costing us 200 for that steak. When the replacement arrived it was medium rare but the portion was much smaller than what was ordered it looked like a different kind of steak than what we received earlier. The taste was just all right, but honestly The Keg steak tastes better for half the price, so not very impressed overall, my wifes chicken and sister in-laws steak was all right and it was also medium rare. Anyway, definitely will not go back, there were no make ups for doing the steak wrong, no discount or extra incentives offered, just a replacement that was not even on par with our original ordered in terms of quality. Parking: Limited street parking, but when we were there, it wasnt busy so it was fine.

We were there for a Monday evening Bar mitzvah dinner with 30 others. The dinners were excellent. Steak Salmon Chicken all delish. Appetizers were great and desert were decedent. The only problem that caused me to give 4 out of 5 was the lack of air conditioning. The other room was so cool. P. S. The staff was very friendly and accommodating Well done

An amazing restaurant, food was superb and the meat tastes so good. We had an amazing waiter Sardar who was doing a great job to make our experience amazing.

We dined in here to celebrate a birthday. We thought we had a pleasant experience and food was alright for the price. However, we realized we paid much more than what we thought it would come out to be so we calculated all the prices and turns out we were charged extra 7%. After going through a few reviews, we found they charge 20% tax instead of the usual 13%. I didn t find any other restaurants in Niagara falls charging extra tax except for Prime Steak House. Leaving a review so that people can make a decision being aware of this as we certainly didn t.

recently hosted a dinner for 7 persons. Steve and Rita, our servers were outstanding. They were both attentive and professional. One guest had certain food allergies and Steve and Rita and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure my guests food contained neither offending food item. The food was excellent and i highly recommend this restaurant.

I had an amazing dinner here tonight. Never have been before. I ordered the Prime Steak, boneless Ribeye, and it was phenomenol. It literally melted in my mouth. Its a little on the pricey side, but it was worth every penny. The Lemon Merangue Tart was amazing. Thanks to the kitchen and dining room staff for a wonderful meal.

Wonderful service, efficient, professional and high class. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing! The only suggestion I have is that the owner, who was there and very friendly the entire night, not wear blue jeans. Blue Jeans takes the class out of the experience. All in all though, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

Lies about prime grade beef and dry aging them, there beef is also horribly cooked, my first time being there will be the last.

Incredible food and atmosphere at Prime on Avenue. Best of its kind. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Would highly recommend the pulled brisket tacos, cauliflower, herb and nut salad along with the smoked beef ribs!!!

What a wonderful night out! The food was delicious and the service was friendly, informative and attentive without being over bearing. We all had a great time and were looking forward to going back again soon!

I was curious why this restaurant has only 1 and 5 star reviews and I now understand why. As a steakhouse, it is just awful. 1 star would be my review. They wont even cook rare which is how I eat it. Only medium rare and up. We ordered the filet, which BTW wasnt like a filet at a traditional steakhouse. It was about 3.4 thick. They refused to use garlic butter when I was asked which sauce/topping Id like. Seriously...no garlic butter? When the steak came it was barely edible. It was way overcooked. Tough. Flavourless. It was four of us, and we barely ate any of the steak. My youngest sons steak was coated heavily with pepper and I was just gobsmacked that for a kids steak that they would season it like that. We had to scrape it clean. Ive not been to a steakhouse that ever tried to serve a small kid a steak like that. Just no common sense. We also ordered the BBQ platter which was good. 4/5 for what it was. Particularly the beef ribs. However, for a BBQ platter not to have pork was when I figured out that the place was I assume Kosher, which is fine and I dont mind that if Im planning to go for deli food and want a corned beef, but I was there for what I thought was going to be traditional steak and BBQ. I didnt see that the restaurant advertised itself as a Kosher restaurant. I probably wouldnt have anticipated that could make a difference to the food and may have gone anyway. In the future, after this experience I probably would appreciate knowing that it is Kosher and what that means to my choices. The wine list was sub par for a steak house. As in half a page, most of which was the house wine. Seeing zero that appealed to me I ordered none. The price was comparable to a traditional steak house like a Mortons or Ruths Chris. Without alcohol for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) it was $430 and we left about half of the food because it was not good enough to eat fresh let alone as leftovers. Service was ok. Neither bad nor great. Wed never go back except for maybe take out of the beef ribs which were good. If you are going to pay this price, the food should be all around great, and the service to match, and have options of a decent wine list. I can fully appreciate the 1 ratings and why they are here if you think this is a steak house, which really...it isnt. The 5 star ratings are inexplicable to me unless A) the ratings are faked and/or B) the people rating the steaks here have not been to a real steak house or even prepared a decent steak at home. Maybe it has something to do with it being kosher but I have no idea if that makes any difference at all. If you like steak, this is not a place to go even if they gave the steak away for free.

Prime on Avenue is the place to go if your looking for a delicious, kosher, fine-dining experience with a great selection of steaks, sides and alcoholic beverages.

Surprised by the harsh reviews, i thought it was a pretty solid place. Being a steakhouse, i understand the competition is heavy; how can you compete with Mortons, michaels, stk or even the keg! But for what it was it was great. Our server, Marcus, gave good service, and the food was surprisingly good! Bbq platter to start which was great! Caesar salad wasnt very good. Had the rib steak as the main, thinner than expected but cooked and seasoned perfect! Decor and atmosphere was very nice! Deffinatley overpriced for what we got but overall a good experience; not outta this world, but would probably go back! Thanks Adam Divine (marcus).

My first time in the restaurant was in a company party, and I really loved the food. We decided to come back to the restaurant with family that came from Paris. The waitress was really nice but - the service was slow I order the Carpaccio as a starter and when the waitress asked how was it I mentioned that I had better, and she didnt care so much. My husband had one of the smoked meals, and at the end of the meal he mentioned to her that it wasnt good and didnt fell from the bone as it should... she just said that she realized that he didnt liked it so much and if he would have said something earlier she would have replaced his order. Just because my first experience here was a good one Im still willing to give the restaurant a chance ...

Food is very good...to the point that I am planning my wedding ... it is an. AMAZING EATS...try everything... its all good and if you have a chance, meet the awesome head chef.. he is great ... Best steak I ever had.

This is the most exceptional restaurant experience that Ive ever had in Toronto. The atmosphere is great, both times we went it was full but each table still manages to feel intimate and it isnt too loud that you cant carry on a conversation. The staff are attentive, helpful, and quick to bring whatever you need. The food is next level...the pulled beef flatbread is an absolute must. My husband and I have ordered different meals each time and they were all great. Yes, it is a bit pricier but you do get what you pay for. Finally someone brought a NYC quality restaurant to the Toronto kosher scene!
