Guys. Come on. 🥗 There were about 7 chunks of this in my Greek salad. I dumped it into a larger bowl at home to mix the dressing and picked these out, but I should have taken the full photo. Do better.

Ordered the chicken schnitzel dinner today. The schnitzel was tasteless and dry and the breading not fresh with a funny after-taste. Wll not come back. Quality is faltering! I don't recommend going there for anything but a schwarma or falafel.

I've been a customer of MeVaMe for 7 years. And even worked for one of their restaurants few years ago. This location is the worst. I should have trusted the comments about dry shawarma. The shawarma is not even coming from the grill, the stick was empty and not even turned on as we later noticed. It's litteraly scraps from the day before or even two. The pices are tiny and bone dry. Easily the worst shawarma we've ever had. Hummus was bitter, chicken lentil soup tasteless. Potatoe wedges and salds were good. Also this location does not even have babaganoush and laffas. Service was good.
I was really positively surprised by this place. I was once in another branch and had a bad experience, but this branch is very nicely designed, the food was very tasty, the portions were generous and the prices are very reasonable. I had a small plate with pita on the side and it was all delicious. I will come back.

Their chicken schnitzel (and chicken tenders) used to be amazing in the past, but now it s become absolutely terrible. I ordered their chicken schnitzel fingers and their chicken tenders sparely, and for both of them they gave me some terribly low quality tenders like that ones you would find in a cheap chicken tenders frozen box in a supermarket (but they tasted even worse, and lower quality than those). They were not thin or cirpsy, nor were there any sesame seeds on them like the description says (and the photos show). It looks nothing like the photo. These were cheap low quality chicken tenders.

it was mine and my family s first time here and it was great! when we entered, we were greeted right away with kindness from the staff. the restaurant is very clean and open with lots of sunlight. now, to the food. it is a mediterranean cuisine and set up similar to chipotle. i am a huge fan of chipotle but i would take this over them any day! i got a chicken shawarma wrap, my brother got the crispy chicken wrap and my parents got the large platter to share. all of the food was delicious, filled with flavour and freshness. i especially enjoyed the hummus. i am very particular about hummus but this one was delicious! it was not too lemony nor over salty, just perfect. i will definitely be coming back here and would definitely suggest this to anyone. do not be afraid about it being a mediterranean cuisine because you will not be disappointed! thank you
Great Experience. Very nice ambiance with quite a lot of seating options. Paid parking available right in-front of the restaurant. Very neat and clean and perfect for dine in. Food quality is very good and price is reasonable for that quality and ambiance.

The staff was very friendly, restaurant is clean and modern. The food was meh, certainly not up to the same standard as the Bathurst and Rutherford Location or the Steeles and Hilda locations. We ordered Me Salad with chicken Shwarma with a side of Laffa and garlic sauce. We had to ask for another salad dressing as we were not given enough. The flavour or the dressing was great. The laffa was nothing like the other locations, in fact we suspect that it was NAAN from Costco heated up, it was the exact same size, texture and look. The garlic sauce tasted like store bought cesar salad dressing but that may have been given to us in error.

Worst service ever. The restaurant manager lauren needs to learn the Meaning of customer service. My husband and me was the first to approach the restaurant today and ask if theres a space for 20 people she said the rules is minimum order $30 per person if the group 15 or more so I told her every Sunday we go out as group never heard of this policy but any way we dont mind to stay separate its hard we all stay together any way so separate us 10 & 10 she looked at me with attitude youre playing around with the rules and I explained that in fact because Im respecting your rules but cant request everyone come to over minimum 30 we dont mind to stay separate. So she looked at me and said sorry we cant serve you. So I told her you cant say that if we wanna eat her and we waited 5 minutes the rest of the group came and we find were actually 13 person so we asked for a table for 13 so she said theres 18% tips must, we was all ok with that except one of us told her by the way this is against Toronto rules so you can go eat somewhere else we will not serve you with a very rude attitude we told her were bringing u business and youre so rude she said Ill call the police we said yes please call them because we didnt do any thing wrong we just wanna sit & eat.

Updated: Jan 2024 I was craving for some kefta and I decided to give it another chance. I was really surprised that the quality of their kefta had returned to the way I liked them make it. I will come back again ------------------- I used to like their Kefta a lot, I found it even better than Paramounts. Sadly its not the case now. Last time I ordered was in January 2022, the Kefta was still good, but now in Feb, with their new menu, not only the price went up but the kefta was so dry and tasteless. It almost didnt taste like meat, almost like a falafel. Also, they got my order wrong. I asked for the sauce on the side but they put it all in. I dont like the wrap soggy. Im so disappointed. I probably wont go back again.
My large chicken shawarma laffa wrap was a horrible, sloppy mess. The so-called Laffa bread is a thin flat rectangle. The fillings were wet and sloppy and overwhelmed the shawarma. I tossed most of it. They obviously have simplified the menu and recipes, but the result is not good.
My brother David who is currently working there he suggest me to try wrap from this restaurant and I ordered one shwarma wrap from uber eats, the wrap was so good and even portion was also very satisfying. Thank you guys for quality food.

The dine in area of the restaurant is clean and has a few booths and tables. Expect to wait around 15 minutes for takeout food to be prepared after ordering.
I ve been eating at Me Va Me since 2016. I know we re all struggling with $$$ right now but todays order was unacceptable. The large fluffy white laffa bread has been replaced by some kind of thin cardboard bread. For those who haven t ordered before laffa should be thick and chewy (While laffa and pita are similar in appearance, different leavening processes creates significantly different outcomes. Pita only undergoes moderate leavening, while laffa can be fermented days on end. This leads pita to have a thinner and crispier texture while laffa is much thicker and chewier.) What I received is neither and laffable It doesn t support the fillings and is now a salty mess.. I also ordered 2 spinach squares for $5 and received to of the tiniest triangles I ve ever seen. Do better or don t do it!

Chicken shawarma was ice cold, could have been pre-made and right out of the fridge? Full of mayonnaise. Just not a good quality wrap, especially for the price. Won t be going again. It s unfortunate, they could do so much better.

Absolutely waste of money , had a shawarma wrap and everything was just falling from my hands only a tea spoon size chicken and four or five pieces of fries with fully salad loaded on a very thin bread that automatically becomes like dough

We ordered food tonight via Uber Eats. Food preparation & taste was very mediocre. We had ordered large shawarma plate with potato wedges side. But when it arrived the shawarma quantity was the least. The plate was filled with the other stuff - potatoes & salad. Thumbs down!
Pita was horrible - not an authentic one. Baba Ganoosh toast was average. Shawarma platter was good but salad came with it - was not fresh. Waste of money on this location. Not again ..

Ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a kefta laffa wrap, both were delicious, staff was friendly, restaurant was very clean.
It was late when we got there. They let us in only for pickup. We ordered shawarma, and when we came back home, I found out the chicken she used was the garbage at the end of the tray. Chicken became dry, and we threw them in garbage. I ordered food from another place for that night. If you dont have some things, you should not sell your garbage!!!!

I recently picked up my food from Me Ba Me restaurant and began eating the salad. Unfortunately, I found a few thick pieces of hair in the salad, which was quite disgusting and made me lose my appetite. It appears that they do not wash the vegetables before preparing the salad and do not take precautions to cover their hair.

I ordered a meal to be sent to be sent from a group of cousins to a house of mourning. The recipients of the meal were very appreciative and said that the food was delicious and plentiful. I found the owner of this Me Va Me to be very helpful as I had to make changes to the delivery address and date of delivery. The changes were made and he even called to confirm.

The chicken schnitzel is now very thin and tasteless. They include hummus but no pita. Potatoes and salads are tasteless. We used to really like their food but no longer!

Why change the menu and remove the classic dinner meal??? I ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years (beginning at the original location) - but this chain has gone down hill. Tiny portions, and expensive for what it is 2 chicken skewers is 4 pieces of chicken total?! 2 + 2. Used to be 4 + 4 - so filling that I couldn t even finish more than one skewer, I would take one home. Now, no pita included, and half the size for over $20. Very disappointing.

Good but not as good as the Steeles location. Primarily, this comment and overall rating is based on choices of fillings available for the laffa wraps which is, after all, their signature item. For example, I miss the white cabbage (cole slaw) and stewed tomato eggplants.

This little gem was a great find, I wasnt expecting to have that great of an experience but they aced the service. I Had the schnitzel and it was deliciously good, Smiling faces and friendly staff was a bonus to the quality of the food. Food was good , service was good. I went for a business lunch and 4 booths were occupied by LP boys that brought their own lunches. They were loud , physical with one another and rude. Initially they had not purchased anything from the restaurant. I spoke to the staff to let them know I was not ok with the atmosphere (and not having comfortable seating as a result) the boys bought three drinks and continued carrying on. We had our $50 meal unenjoyably. I asked the boys to behave as I m sure their parents have taught them. Only one came to me after and apologized. Staff were nice but intimidated to stand up to them. I will not go back, nor will others if it is a high school cafeteria.
I visited the Avenue Rd location today, and once again the food was delicious! The staff are friendly and the establishment is clean. I recommend the Avenue Road restaurant location.

Excellent shwarma. One of the few places where you can get it in a laffa. Not stingy with toppings either. Not the cheapest but its one of my favorites.
They totally messed up my order and the customer service could have been way better. They chose not to put my order through because they were missing one item. When I got there I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food, I wasnt not ok with that!

This was the best MeVaMe we have ever had. My family goes to MeVaMe a lot, and have tried many different locations. We got shawarma that was by far the yummiest we ve had in the city. 10/10 recommended!

Not a bad place to stop by for lunch! It s relatively quick and very fresh albeit a bit on the pricey side. I really enjoy the sample (?) platter where you can try three sauces and get a side with your main protein.

A very solid place to get Mediterranean food. It is not the best place in the city but it a mighty fine one. Good priced and good food. The Chicken was very good and the same were the same. The falafel laffa ($11.95) wrapped up several airy chickpea fritters, which arrived warm with delivery and would have been amazing if eaten fresh and hot. They go nicely against the cooler sauces that I incorporated plenty of for maximum flavour - hummus, tzatziki, tahini, and hot sauce! With all the condiments, there was a chance the wrap would arrive soggy. Yet, lettuce helped form a layer between the bread and the other ingredients and added a nice crunch to the wrap. After enjoying all the great flavours in the laffa, the lacklustre chicken shawarma plate ($17.75) was a let down. It comes with a sizeable portion of slightly dry chicken, tons of grilled vegetables, and a dense cold dry pita but then only one measly tahini sauce to flavour everything. Having had my fair share of shawarma plates, most places provide at least two condiments - tahini and garlic sauce - and many even have extra sides like pickles, beets, and tabbouleh. Instead, Me Va Me serves theirs with a huge side salad, which while great value isn t the tastiest. I d much rather they eliminate the salad and provide things that would enhance the overall plate instead. We did order a couple of their dips, but they didn t impress and reminded me of the prepared ones found in supermarkets. The fried eggplant ($3.95) started off nicely with big chunks of smoky eggplant, but the ketchup-like sauce they incorporated into the dip made everything way too sweet. Meanwhile, the babaganoush ($3.95) had so much mayonnaise added that it would be better classified as eggplant aioli. This is definitely not something you d want to just eat a spoonful of plain.
Wish I read the reviews before I ordered! The flavour is delicious but the takeout (Uber Eats) portions are SO SMALL. This might be the smallest portion of chicken shawarma Ive ever gotten. Paramount often gets a bad rep for serving too much rice and too little chicken but I think Me Va Me skimps out even more. Not sure Ill order again especially after reading about some of the hygiene issues here.

This is a review that is to help business owner the most, For long years, this has been my favorite restaurant and I have all sorts of memories with my family and friends, with no exaggeration, I was there more than 100 times. We always enjoyed delicious food and good service at this restaurant, similarly in other branches. In my last visit, and this is after the Covid crisis and reopening of the restaurants, We noted significant changes of the menu, minimizing size of the portions and of course the prices have gone up significantly. I think these changes that are probably made for business survival, will kill it eventually. I hope I am wrong, But I know for sure, I and few friends we met last time there, are not fans anymore.

Always out of stock of something. Last week out of shawarma at 12:30, thought I d give them a second shot this week. Out of stock pita!! Not coming back here.
Great, fresh food. Nice decor. Service was friendly but very slow for fast food. Would prefer that they dont use any plastic containers when dining in.
Got a falafel pita for my lunch today. Wasn t too bad. The guy on the counter was quite rude. Needs some soft skills classes.
The staff just looks overworked and tired, like theyre sick of the place. Feel bad for them. They seriously need more staff because when you call during busy hours they leave you on hold forever. They never pick up the phone after telling you to hold. And in-person they dont even glance in your direction when youre standing in front of them.
This location has to be the best in the city.
Food was uncooked veggies and to much salt on the samon and no utensils were included. Overall
They charged me $12 for a medium plain rice!

Wonderful place for lunch/dinner!
I ordered a takeout order for 0930pm. I had come in scrubs as I was on my way to work. The staff were so nice and I guess they noticed I was a nurse and we re just so kind and told me to have a nice shift. Honestly it made my night. I wanted to come and give the team working there a good review because they deserve it and they seemed like they were busy but still took the time to be friendly and it honestly made my night. Thank you

Staff is rude, poor selection of toppings/additions....for some reason food and toppings not as yummy as their northern location at Steeles.
Do not order the Chicken Shwarma. Tasted and looked like dried shoe leather. I would like to see the store owner take accountability, reply and improve. Will think twice before I return.
