Appetizers were great. Main was 9/10. Service was good, but they charged us $30 to serve cake that we brought. Which I thought was them having good customer service, but they didn’t tell us there was going to be an extra charge. If we’re already tipping 20%, what’s the point of the $30 extra to serve the cake?
Excellent food and dinning experience. Service is great. Highly recommend to celebrate special occasions or to chill out.
This restaurant has a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The menu offers diverse dishes from different cuisines. Our server, Nimesh, went above and beyond to offer us an impeccable service.
We celebrated a birthday at Diwan! The food, the service and the ambiance were amazing but what struck me the most was the elegant and unique decor of the restaurant. The options on the menu seemed a bit limited, but what they lacked in number, was compensated by taste and quality. It is definitely a celebration worthy restaurant with a beautiful backdrop.
It was a fixed menu. Not all the items are available. The salad was good but tiny. The chicken was very bad. Smelled bad and was soaking in fat and soggy skin underneath, which was kind of unappealing. The lavender cheese cake was OK but not fresh.
Lamb Shank was the best I lamb I have had. The gamey scent was not present and it was a perfect matching pair for the saffron kiribath. The samosa was a good option for an appetizer. The Persian Cake was a nice dessert to end the meal. Also their tea selection is quite unique and fun.
Very bad experience! I was very excited to try this place and was very much looking forward but we ended up very disappointed! We had beef rogan josh and sizzling mix platter. We were told by our waiter that the sizzling platter (42$)is enough for two people and comes with 4 shrimps. Well, it was too small even for one person, came with 3 shrimps, and the chicken tandoori was uncooked, well seasoned but uncooked. So I mentioned that to our waiter and he took our plate to the chef and came back saying chef says this is how it is. I showed him the uncooked part of the chicken and he asked me if I want him to bring it back and cooke it more to which I said yes please! So they didn’t replace our dish, they just recooked the two pieces of chicken left!!! Rice was also undercooked and hard when chewing. Beef josh was delicious but there were only 4 small cubes of beef in it. So I would consider the main dish as a starter. When we arrived, we were excited and were talking to come back. But don’t think so! I would not recommend this place to anyone We got 10% discount because of the uncooked chicken experience! :-D I find it a bit hilarious!
Booked online and arrived early and was promptly seated. The waitress suggested dishes and explained the dessert option both of which were excellent. Asked for a sugar free drink option other than water, but was left waiting for a response. Was told there was none when the waitress came back later and was told as there was none, she didn't come back to tell me. OK then. 🤷🏾♀️ Was the first diner there and staff were busy chatting at the bar but dispersed once more customers appeared. Would book if you want to be guaranteed a table as was quite busy by the time I left.
What a beautiful restaurant. The design, the sunlight streaming in, great service, and good food.
