747 Don Mills Rd., North York, ON M3C 1T2, Canada
Storefront stop serving Pakistani & Indian fare, with a lunch buffet & weekend breakfast.
I got the kabab roll, it was pretty good but kind of expensive id say. A lot of the items are on the pricy side. The service wasn't the best, it could be because I came at around 11:15 and they open at 11. The tables were dirty and there was food on the ground. Overall id rate it 2.5/5 because the Kabab was decent.
Delicious food, generous portions. A bit on the pricier end but one portion can be easily shared by two people with an extra naan. We tried paya with kulcha and nehari with kulcha. The restaurant was not as crowded considering it’s a Saturday morning.
I have eaten much better Halwa Puri at other resturants. Halawa is on dry. Sugar level is good. Halwa is Yellow in looks, others have more shade of pink. Chickpeas is very dark not golden brown and lacks gravey. Other resturanrts gives you Yougurt Dip and Pickles. Dont expact value for money.
We recently hosted our wedding party at Shaheen Tikka and Kebab house and what a fabulous experience. From the food to the service to the hospitality, everything was top notch! Thank you to the owners for making the event flawless and enjoyable. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and, hosting here again!
Nice desi place for a desi food. We were here for breakfast but we got late so had to settle down with lunch items. Haleem was 8-10 decently good Queema mutton was nice - goof flavour 8-10 Halwa puri - 7/10 as the quantity of halwa vs the puri was very less. And halwa wasn’t tasting as fresh
Went there yesterday for lunch. Exceptional and authentic beef nihari. Haven’t had such good nihari in a very long time. Beef and chicken kebobs were delicious and authentic. Delicious and awesome freshly baked naans with til and butter. A low key restaurant from outside. The interior decor was OK. Highly recommended for authentic Pakistani food.
One of the best naan and puri I have had. We were a party of 4 and we ordered nihari, halwa puri and Siri paye. The service was quick and orderly. The taste was amazing. I have never had such naan in pakistan. I recommend having anything with naan or halwa puri. Note there is a 10% service charge.
Ramadan is ending and If you haven't tried their buffet as of yet, do it now or else you'll regret !!! $21.99 and you can eat as much as you want! Amazing amazing food with such reasonable price! I loved every bit of it, This is my 3rd time in this Ramadan that I went there and every time I found something new and just wow. Please please visit them and experience it yourself. 10/10 Food and 10/10 service.
I have tried their halwa puri yesterday, halwa is really dried, curry is not good , made with black chick peas and puris are loaded with so much oil , making it too much heavy , just hardly ate one puri and had to throw , totally wasted and disappointed.
I visited this place tonight and it s A really nice place to hang out, with great service along with some fine tasting food , especially the boneless chicken biryani. Easily one of the restraint I want to revisit Definitely recommend visiting this place and especially if you like or looking for a place to serve you with some great Pakistani/indian cuisine.
Food tasted so bad.
Excellent
Sunday I order halwa pori choley , honestly the cholley was look like made a week ago batorey was not batorey it was paratha , totally waste of money , only one person working and that person is chief , waiter , cashier helper and may be the cleaning person too , i wonder why this restaurant is so dead no customers at all, because the food is not fresh at all
We had dinner there last night. Food was okay, not so bad, however, the best thing was customer service. The young lady Nabela was quick and excellent. Please guys ask for her if you ever go there.
I invited 20 people on my Birthday , food was amazing and the Service was good , my guests end up buying more food for take out , i tried the kulfi they have it was very tasty
We ordered Halva Puri food was blend no taste price is way too high as per food quality
We had their Sunday breakfast special; halwa, aaloo, cholay & puri with karak chai and loved it. Paya & nihari were liked by all as well.
Rude telephonic person on Saturday evening
Our first outing in Canada. One of the best & delicious desi nashta. Wonderful Keep it up.
I order lamb Biryani ! It s looks I am eating lamb curry and plain rice not even 10% biryani test ! Worst biryani ever
We had the halwa puri, chicken kabab, and tillwala naan and everything was fresh and so delicious. I couldn t believe how perfect and non-greasy the puris were. Times like these I hate Google Maps because a few bad eggs ruin a good place for everyone. A really sweet couple run this joint, go support them!
Bad business etiquette! 10% service charge was automatically applied to the bill. Server did not mentioned this. We didnt check until after and gave tips on top. Water jugs are very dirty. Looks to be a layer of slime inside. From of taste good. Portions are very small.
Vegetarian options: Amazing choley reminded me of my childhood. Nihari , tawa qeema and mash ke daal is out of this world. Over all the best dishes available in GTA for sure. Food
Great food and superb service. Excellent choices and amazing service by Nabeela. We will definitely be back.
After a long time I tried the breakfast...quite disappointed..$15 I paid for Halva Puri which is not worth it. Only 2 Puri ..the quantity of the channa, potato veg and Halva was about 2 table spoons....the Halva was more on the dry side not tasty and flavourful, channa and potato ok. I have eaten better...and the cost is lower with 3 Puris and nice quantity. Needless to say I will not be returning back.
Chicken wasn t cooked well, when asked chef he was offended , not a good experience
Very good food and service was very good
Food is Amazing !!!
A bit on the pricier side but the food is good.
Taste of the food is good however all that goes to waste when it s spicy. The spice level is beyond manageable. When you call them yo make it mild they don t follow that protocol so many times we ordered food and our guests were upset because they couldn t eat the food. Please guys their food is very spicy and they don t want to make changes to cater to other people who can t eat spicy foods.
I do not recommend it. I left the food and paid. I was shocked by the order. I swear I 27 $ regret having tried this restaurant Dietary restrictions: I ordered meat and saw nothing but oil
Excellent food
Worst place for take-out. I order something and they pack something else and let me get home to find out. They did this to me one too many time. Im inclined to think this is some sort of scam/fraud. I Would never go here again.
Its taseteless food Waste of money feel very sorry for myself to spend a lot and having such a bad experience Food
Very bad food. I bought tandoori chicken here. The chicken is very worst taste and its a old chicken they are serving. Waste of money.
I miss the restaurant
Best Chicken Biryani and iftar buffet
They have insanely jacked up prices. I used to order from this place a lot but not anymore.
Worst customer service Rude and unprofessional Food
Waste of Time & Money
I come to pickup a Uber order. I received this order 20mins ago, because I have another one pick up on the way. And when I arrived, their food not start! I have to wait another 10 mins in the store for them to cook! Wasting time!
I ordered dal mash and dahi bala M totally disappointed bu the taste and too much oil. If you know nothing don t waste our time and money
Restaurant is literally taking a lot charges for all kind of food and there is extra dine in charge of 10% and Receptionist is so rude even I ask her to clean the table so she told that the table is so old thats why it looks like this and she even didnt clean it and we ordered 3 Naan and later on we ask that we dont want 1 of them so she told its already done so you need to take it after all these we orders seek kabab which we ask before that is it 2 for 4.99 and she told that yes in that it comes 2 piece of kabab and later on at the bill time she told that its double charge and they didnt written in their menu card they are taking double charge for that .. Its so disappointing ..At the end BEWARE THERE IS EXTRA CHARGE IF YOURE PAYING BY CARD So Disgusting service by Receptionist
Guys do not go thru online prices its different then walk in Trust me this restaurant prices are like more then 7 star restaurant ,food is ok not the best but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE........not worth it ....karai gost tiny bowl like a coffee cup 4 small prices of meat $24 ....if you add $10 I mean $35 you can buy whole got leg
Biryani is like tomato rice. Worst taste
Chicken jalfrezi, lamb biryani, and especially the seekh kebab are incredible. Been going here for 15+ years.
I hosted a wedding at Shaheen last weekend and the service was amazing. The owners were incredibly helpful, treating us like family and assisted in set up, serving, and cleanup. The food was the best Indian/Pakistani food Ive had in a while. Ill definitely be coming back here.
This has been my favourite desi restaurant in the city for the past 6 years.. still keep coming back to it. Highly recommend their Chicken Tawa Keema and Nihari.
I would like to thank the owner, his wife & the entire staff at Shaheen Tikka & Kabab for their amazing over the top hospitality. For the amazing service and the phenomenal food we had. My wife and I had our wedding reception (walima) at shaheens 2wks ago, and the owners and staff made our event an exceptional and a memorable moment. Everyone was amazed and really enjoyed the food, many have never been to shaheens, and will definitely be returning customers. The service was definitely amazing.
Good atmosphere Need to improve the food quality. Food
Worst indian restaurant They dont understand anythingThe food very dryNaan totally dry And the salad had no sauceBetter go to mcdo than here Food
One of the best in the GTA. Been going here for years. Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian options here. Food : 5/5 |
Too high prices and the taste is also not good. I will not recommend this at all
The food was so expensive and its not worth what we are paying. I ordered 1 Butter paneer, paneer quality was worst I can ever have. It was too oily and tasteless You can see the photo attached. I had to give this food to someone instead of having it. Food : 1/5 |
They have amazing Nihari and found..
Halwa Puri was really good. Nihari and Paya was great too. Have the Brain masala too.will sure good back to eat more of it
This place has been around a long time had some good memories here.
Extreamly overly priced and taste was not good we ordered murgh channy and beef nihari and naan
Expensive $$ wise. Quality wise not that great. Quantity wise miser. Bought Halwa puri. Halwa was like gold price. Bought 2 halwa puri. Gave 4 gm of halwa for one plate. It was 1 tbs. Halwa test was not good. It was cooked in oil and not in butter or clarified ghee. Never go again.
Amazing paya and naan
Great service and breakfast Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp
Masha-Allah! Really good breakfast and service. Bless you!
Great food, amazing customer service. Would definitely recommend
Great food and great hospitality. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing staff who were very helpful, and the food was amazing. Accommodated our group of 16 very well.
So great. Much salan, much fun time
I AM A STRICT VEGETARIAN AND VERY PICHY ABOUT GOING OUT TO EAT,I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO GIVE PRAISE TO ALL THE STAFF WHO THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYONDTO ACCOMMODATE ME WHEN IT CAME TO MY VEGETARIAN NEEDS. I AND TWO FRIEND OF MINE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIANCE AT THIS EXCELLENT RESTAURANT. THANK YOU ALL SPECIALLY MR. OMRAN AND HIS DEAR WIFE MADE MY VISIT BOTH SPECIAL AND MEMORABLE.I WILL CERTAINLY BE RETURNING AND LETTING MY FRINDS KNOW TO VISIT THIS LOVELY SHAHEEN TIKKA & KABAB.
One of my families favourite restaurants, we have been coming here for over 17 years. It has good service, friendly owner/staff, pretty atmosphere, food is consistent and delicious as always. Price is reasonable for its portions, quantities can feed lots. The quality of food itself is high and freshly made every time.
A proper indian/pakistani food. The dishes are tasteful and delicious. The portion size is also great. I ordered karahi lamb, mild chicken biryani, and spicy lamb biryani. All three were very delicious and i would have them again for sure. Their garlic naan as well is very tasty. Don t order spicy since their mild is spicy already. Their prices are pretty decent compared to the portion and taste you get. Nabeela helped us today and she was very sweet and quick. Id definitely recommend going there.
very very expensive, the quantity is a joke i will never visit again
Iftar all you can eat is the best in gta and only $20.99 I will recommend to everyone
Thr food was perfect. Absolutely delicious.
It was horrible. I bought Haleem for 17.00. It tasted bad and the quality was nasty
Overrated
Hopeless place to eat. Dont waist your money never recommend you at all. I bought half chicken which was not fresh they just re grilled. Too much food colors. Not healthy food.
Very disappointing i call for takeout order. The lady picked up the phone seems busy with informing me to be on hold she hangup on me. I understand some time its very busy but have some manners to request customer to wait.
5 star food and service.
One of the best pakistani restaurants in toronto with a vareity of foods.
Paya with naan, super delicious
Price is too high!
This family owned business thrives to ensure you experience the best pakistani home food available. For our dine in, we ordered the Chicken biryani, Karahi beef gosht, Seekh kebab and Garlic Naan. I have to say, the beef was really tender which added to the flavourful experience. With regards to the menu, slightly on the pricier end of things and they do add an additional 10% gratuity regardless of the number of people, but depending on the menu item you select, the portion can make up for it; in this case, the biryani. It seemed to be that the owners order & serve you (not sure if it was just that day) but it definitely adds to the family experience knowing you are getting that personal touch which was fantastic!
We had a party and the food was very nice. Staff was very respectful and fulfilled our request immediately with a positive attitude. Recommend this place to people.
Enjoyed the kebabs and fresh salad the one time I tried this place.
Ive been getting their chicken and mutton biryani for a while now. I really like it, especially, the mutton biryani. Its on the fattier side, but its delicious.
Food was good but a found a staple in my drink discusting
If you wanna get Taste in the town must taste
I used to do take out here in the past but recently I think there has been a change in ownership and as such all foods have also changed for the worse. Their butter chicken has doubled in price but the taste is nowhere like before. Tastes more like tandoori chicken than butter chicken. The nans used to be soft and fluffy but now the taste has changed and they are not like they used to be. I would not visit this place again. Parking: Lots of parking available.
Amazing food!! Amazing service!! Best restaurants!! Shaheen is such a w restaurant and I can always count on them to serve the best food.
I recently booked Shaheen Restaurant for my wedding reception and I couldnt be happier with the outcome. The food was simply delicious, with a wide range of options that satisfied every taste bud. The decoration was stunning and added a special touch to the overall ambiance of the event. The service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and accommodating to all our needs. I would like to extend a special thanks to Ms. Naheed, the owner of the restaurant, for going above and beyond to make our event truly unforgettable. He took the time to understand our needs and worked closely with us to bring our vision to life. The attention to detail and level of professionalism displayed by Naheed and his team was truly remarkable. Every single guest at my wedding reception was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food, decoration, and service provided by Shaheen Restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. I highly recommend Shaheen Restaurant for anyone looking for a venue for their wedding reception or any other special occasion. They exceeded our expectations in every way and made our day truly magical. Thank you, Shaheen Restaurant, for making our special day a truly unforgettable experience. And a special thanks to Naheed for his exceptional organizational skills and personal touch.
Very expensive and poor customer service.we spent over $100 (4ppl)for breakfast only. The halwa was tastlesss the potato curry had more oil then potatoes. Never going back again.
Great taste of biryani
Best Nihari in town indeed. We ate their halwa poori too and it had more taste than others Ive tried. Puris are a bit oily so ask for extra tissues to pat them down. Chai was spot on with sugar on the side.
Food was really good. I would give this place 5 stars but the only reason its not is because of their mandatory Tip. They charge 10% Graduity which is fine but would rather not pay or put my own amount.
Keema Naan is a disgrace! So we ordered channa, keema Naan, and malai boti. The salad that was brought was very old looking, and not edable. It also didnt look like a salad. The malai boti was fine but not that many pieces. The Keema Naan tasted like one was eating White Atta /flour. It was undercooked and when I opened to look inside the Naan there was barely any Keema so no wonder it tastes like Im eating white undercooked atta /flour. Please dont call something keema Naan if you barely put any keema in it. Channa was so so.
Great place. Had halwa puri and nihari here with my whole family. Amazing taste!
Good selection of typical Pakistani dishes. Pleasant staff.
Food is meh. They didnt have red chilli or hot sauce which was odd. The service was quick and friendly. I tried seekh kebabs, the beef ones are meh but the chicken was good. They recently renovated and the place looks great but they need better cook/ingredients. Id probably go a few extra distances to Karahi point instead, unless they improve on their food, next time.
Delicious iftar buffet with plenty of options
Not sure if the owners have changed. Use to be a great place. However, last few times - was questionable? Walked in because someone in our group wanted to go and try out their biryani, but there was no option to order except eat the Buffet For $20 all you can eat . The food choices were NOT great with no flavour, and the ones that were okay choices had no flavour at all! I was so upset. Lastly, thought I would try the dessert (gulab jambo) even that was stale! So disappointing and very sad. To the owners: Please fix this!
Amazing food. Every thing was so delicious and staff is friendly. Must try
Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Karahi and Kebabs are so tasty and flavourful, great customer service!
We went all the way from Milton for iftar at 6 :00PM , they told us it s already booked I tried to ask them too many times if they can arrange the seating for 4 people but they where not helpful at all . We ordered the food and their dishes where below average but Daal mash was literally smelled like rotten i, I called them and they put me on hold to talk to the owner and instead of offering me something nice he was saying whenever u come next time ask me for a free Daal mash so he thinks iam going to come all the way from Milton for a free Daal mash
I went last week to break my iftari, when I called they told me to provide nice Iftari (free) but the lady brought salade, left over watermelon and dates in one plate without any spoon. I end up not eating them because everything got mixed together. When the waitress wanted to bring me the pink juice, the lady (manager or the owner) asked to give us very little in her own language. I definitly not recomending this place any more.
I am visiting from South Korea 2023, I went to Shaheen Tikka with my parents for the first time during iftar buffet. The food was delicious. Very clean place, staff is friendly. All buffet food tasted fresh. Excellent service. Taste was amazing and left a lasting impression, my parents were so happy when I took them at Shaheen Tikka the 9th time. Vegetarian options: More vegetarian option Available you can modify all food, along with dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: Kids friendliness.
The sweet lassi was sour! The rice was clumpy and stale! The chicked peas were salty and burnt I will not be ordering from random places again! The only decent thing was the butter naan!
Their butter chicken is not looks like butter chicken it looks like more tomato chicken their Chana is full of baking soda and the Naharri has a lot of flour and the nan is too doughy i dont know whats wrong with their food quality ...very disappointed
The serving was quite small as compare to the price. The taste is below average and service is extremely slow. served me salt with tea instead of sugar.
Very expensive for just ok food.
This place used to offer delicious desi food at reasonable prices. Guess what! Not anymore. Recent visit experience. *Food quality - ok! *Overpriced- very expensive! *Customer service was below the average! ***Not recommended and not willing to go again***
Great place for dine in, takeaway and catering. Javed sahib is a gem.
My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The overall look and atmosphere of the place was good. There was a tired looking older lady at the front who could have tried to be a little more welcoming. She bluntly asked if we wanted a takeout or sitting in. We said we would like to sit and eat. She pointed us to go and sit in an area with bare tables that did not even have table placemats and cutlery set up (like most of the other areas in the restaurant). Luckily, we had a much nicer server - a young man - who started by bringing us our complimentary water and some salad with a yogurt sauce and imli chutney. We ordered boneless karahi chicken (spicy option) and 4 naans. The karahi chicken wasn t as spicy as we would have preferred. In fact, it hardly had any flavour at all. It was like having boiled chicken mixed with lightly fried onions and tomato paste. It tasted more like baingan bharta than a non vegetarian dish. The naans were disappointing too. Aside from the naan placed on the top, all the other naans were badly burnt, especially on the back sides. This restaurant is on the pricey side, and they add a compulsory 10% gratuity. We have no intention eating here again.
Very tasty and delicious food. customer service very good
Never been to a more overpriced restaurant than this one. Food is alright not good either.
Horrible, horrible ubereats experience with this restaurant. Food is very good (but expensive.) However, we have ordered several times with them and almost ALWAYS there are items missing. This is not due to an uber eats error (which they blame it on) but rather, one from the restaurant. Owners solution is to order MORE food (e.g. a drink, dessert) so that she can send my missing items. Unreal. Just cant order again in good conscience because of the risk of poorly managed, sloppy take out service. At least four times I have had incomplete orders. Such a shame. Zero pride in ownership.
The food was very dry, tasteless and very pricey. $50 for 1/2 chicken, 2 kebabs (which you HAVE to order two), 1 extremely small serving of samosa chaat and two naans. I could ve got a much better meal elsewhere for that price. The salad was stale cabbage, carrots and cucumbers which were very soft. The chutneys were in extremely sticky bottles Glasses and the pwater jug served was very dirty. The owner was very preoccupied with her movie that was playing very loudly in the restaurant. I will not be coming back and definitely will not be referring anybody. They also add a gratuity without prior consent. It would be better if they allow you to choose what you want to tip. The restaurant can do with a good airing out of the space. It is quite stuffy and smelly inside. Sadly, the food did not digest and we ended up throwing up.
Good food!
Excellent Flavour packed food delicious . Halwa Puri, Tawa Kheema, Nihari, Lamb Biryani all on point!!!!! Food
I like their food, service and ambiance.

I love their food
Amazing food as usual
Their butter chicken is the best! Biriyani and kababs too Food
Excellent Beef-paya-kulcha dish. No other restaurant makes so perfect paya!!!
Great place for Pakistani food Love halwa puri Plenty of Parking and free Food : 5/5
First of all the lady at the cash counter is so rude as though we are the beggars and she is giving us the food free. Secondly I compared the price and the quality of the halwa puri with Silverspoon on Sheppard avenue . There is a difference of $5 for each plate and Silverspoon gives three puris and charge only 7.99 and Shaheen gives only two and they charge 12.99. Even the size of the puri is smaller compared to Silverspoon Thirdly the Nihari plate is for 18.99 at Shaheen compared to 12.99 in Silverspoon . Finally, they open their restaurant 7 minutes past 9 am on Sunday and then the ask the customer to wait 25 minute for the order to be prepared. Where as Silverspoon opens at 10 am but all items are ready to be purchased when the door opens at 10 am and the staff of Silverspoon is so humble and courteous. You have written how this lady was rude so that you could improve. First of all the lady in question is your spouse therefore you should be know her very well and especially her attitude. I read another review and complaint about your place . I will be the last person to come ever again and would not recommend to others tok not to visit your restaurant. We pay and take food and are treated like beggars as though you are giving the food to us free of charge.
We have ordered Paya from this restaurant a couple of times. Every time we have only gotten bone and gravy with just a little bit of meat. We placed an order for Paya again yesterday and specified that this has happened to us before and they assured us that this time it won t be an issue. When we got home and opened the take out container, it was the same thing. A bunch of gravy, 2 pieces of bones, and just a little bit of meat. Also the staff is very rude and off putting. We will no longer be ordering from this restaurant again. We have tried some other dishes as well and they were nothing special. Honestly save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.
As said, food excellent, service is good except the place needs a revamp. The bathrooms are dirty and the chairs are broken. Vegetarian options: Paneer options are delicious
Horrible customer service and Racist staff !!! I ordered my food over the phone and was asked to come in 20 mins which I did . I can see my food was in a bag and ready for pick up. The lady took my money and made me wait for 45 minutes when the food is right in front of me . She kept serving people that came after me talking in their mother tongue while making me wait . After waiting she finally gave me the food that was in front of me. I will never come here again .
My fiancee and I came here for dinner and loved it. The kebabs and naan were superfresh, and the lamb karahi was delicious. Definitely coming back again and will recommend this place to my friends.
Horrible food and customer service quality. Would not recommend.
Never in my lifetime I expected to pay 50 for 1 biryani and 1 curry with 2 bread. Food is good but the prices are outrageous.
The worse restaurant in Toronto, dirty, impolite staff and the waiting time is like 1 hour just for a cup of tea. The lady in frontline is the worse staff I ever seen in my life in Toronto
One of the best paya in the gta
3rd time asked for mild food gave the worse spicy food that you cannot even have a bite
No good they never said hi hello so mean women and girl only man is good and food not good
Amazing food. Thank you
The chicken karahi was NOT chicken karahi, they sent a generic curry instead. Biryani rice were mush and made out of the same curry taste they sent in place of a karahi. The Lahori charga was dry and we really thought they will send a full chicken with stuffed rice like a traditional charga but it was just dry chicken pieces. The Keema naan was fine. Their garlic naan was also lacking. Changed my initial 3 stars to 1 star as not only the food wasn t good but it is the dishonesty that is problematic when you are sending the wrong product on purpose. I gave it 3 stars earlier because it s a small business don t want to ruin it but people who can t uphold a standard contract to give customers what they pay for deserves to have their business shut down.
What a good halwa puri. Must try. This remembered me of my backhome taste.
Worst indian restaurant They dont understand anything The food very dry Naan totally dry And the salad had no sauce Better go to mcdo than here
Its really amazing experience to taste food, we recall Pakistani food flavour, thank you so much for such delicious food .
Food is ok .It is a better pre-order . They are taking a little bit more time . Food wise, it is ok . Price was moderate. They have a very huge menu if they have pictures of the items in the menu. It will be easy to order .
Chiecken tikka kabab was like boiled kabab not from tandoor just red colour
Delicious food...
Halwa puri is fire
Contrary to what other reviews say, this is a decent place to have desi breakfast.
The worst Indian food I ever had. The tikka masala had so much oil in it I could deep fry a chicken with it. Not to mention they ADD a 10% gratuity without informing you beforehand.
This has to be the worst Halwa Puri in Toronto. We have tried at many other places and this one was shockingly bad.
I ordered a biryani and I cannot tell you how shocked I was to find that they cooked it with TOMATO SAUCE!!! like what in the world I just ate? Tasted like an old pasta mashed to small rice pieces. I couldn t eat it and will never order here again that was a waste
This place gave me raging stomach pain won t recommend
Their food is generally hit and miss. You need to know what you are buying. Their naans can be really good. Avoid butter on them. Some days that butter can smell awful. Their staff generally has bad customer service, although, it seems to have gotten better. The worst is older female staff. They start asking personal questions from their regular customers going as far as prying about their cooking habits. Younger staff usually isnt very fluent in English but they insist on speaking the language even with those who speak their native tongue. British colonial influence and American world order are at their full display. They claim to be Pakistani AND Indian restaurant but it is for all intents and purposes a Pakistani restaurant.
Butter paneer was just tomato sauce
Authentic Lahori Taste; Karahi Goshat is very good.
Recently, they have increased rates. Its not worth the increase. Food
Not too bad not too good
I would give 5 stars for their tarka daal and beef seekh kabab alone. Add some tandoori naan and that s my favourite meal since I was a little girl. 1 star less just because of cleanliness and overall service. It s not bad but not the best either. Also has gotten expensive over the years.
They have posted a big Halal sign but they dont know how to earn Halal. A soft drink that is in cents, they sell it over $2, a bottle of water is over $2, that is $3 a full case, i know they put them in refrigerator but it does not make sense (Well, you can use their tap water in a very clean jug with their hairs around them). On top, they have a extra charge on bill under gratuity (10%), just because you are coming to eat at this place, and you d only know this when you check the bill at the end. Dear brothers and sisters/Owners, please learn about the % of profit in a halal way. Stop turning your halal income into haram. Take all these reviews serious and bring some changes InshaAllah.
They have the best brain masala and garlic naan in Toronto and it s simply delicious. It s expensive at $20 but it s totally worth it for a special lunch/dinner. We have tried both the beef karahi and achari and you can t go wrong with either. The food is expensive but top notch.
Worst ever experience at this place. As you can see in this picture, Chicken is kind of stale and its didn t looked fresh or taste fresh. Really dry and yellowish.
Amazing restaurant. Nice and clean environment, delicious food, excellent service and reasonable price and she gave me a discount also. Vegetarian options: All types of vegetable dishes available. Parking: Lots Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair spots are available
Worse puri halwa I ever have. Halwa was not sweet at all and over all quantity was so small. I place 3 order of puri halwa and they game me enough salan for 1 person. I would not mind paying for good food but price according to quality ridiculous I will say very disappointed.
Great brunch! And my goto place for Pakistani breakfast
Food was lovely
Ask for receipt / bill before paying. They include 10% gratuity (for a table of 2) without letting you know. I ended up double tipping cos they gave me receipt only after I paid.
Fresh and tasty Food served with reasonable prices plus very decent service.
I have tried their halwa puri. So far best in Toronto!
not recommending, the food was not good it was not fresh.
BEST NIHARI IN TORONTO ! We eat here almost once a week and we go here JUST for the Nihari and butter chicken. The food (especially the Nihari) is way better than Karhai Point which is just down the road from there.
Good food but little expensive then other resturant
Best food and Best service..
My family goes for Nihari and their chicken Seekh kebabs. My kids love the quality. It s authentic food and to top it all the customer service is great.
I visited this place with my family few days ago. I love this place because of excellent customer service and very delicious fresh food. We especially like to eat chicken haleem, beef nihari, spicy chicken and beef kabab and chicken biryani. I strongly recommend to visit this place for best food.
If youre in the mood for some Pakistani biryani, this is the ultimate location in Toronto. I always keep going back for their chicken boneless biryani.
