Authentic Peruvian Cuisine
Ok!… I remember been in this restaurant to many times and I always enjoyed delicious food.. But! Lately… maybe they change the chef ???because isn’t close to the Peruvian taste NO MORE! I’m so disappointed because it to expense AND THE FOOD ISN’T GOOD. And also the SINGER “ El Cantante” it’s getting annoying they should try somebody else. Or maybe they should do PEÑA like in Peru! Spanish and PERUVIAN MUSIC! El servicio Si estuvo bien. 👍
The food was good, the price was ok but the service was a bit slow and not too friendly.
Went there with family, on top of what we ate there I asked for Lomo Saltado to take home. When I opened the box at home, there was literally 4/5 pcs of beef stew in there. This was a $26 meal! I called the restaurant and told them how disappointed I was because my father had ordered the same dish at lunch and the portion was very different. The guy over the phone was convinced all their portions are the same as they prep them overnight! Will never return here! I thought I ordered from the kids menu..
Look at my experience and click more... A must for comeback and very worth to try out this Peruvian restaurant. The outside may look like a typical restaurant in an industrial area but the food is AMAZING and DELICIOUS. Prices are without a doubt reasonable. Very flavorsome and mouthwatering goodness food. They also serve optional spicy or non spicy food for those who do not eat spicy but if you can take some spice I STRONGLY recommend you to try it especially the homemade salsa. Love that the menu has description of what is in each delicacy but you can also ask waiters/waitress for a more descriptive details in case of your allergy or just general knowledge and understanding of certain items. Friendly and Warm environtment with some karaoke/singing entertainment from the Owner at the time of our booking. My favourite food from this visit are the; - Anticuchos(Thin sliced Beef Heart) - Cebiche de Pescado(Fish Ceviche) - Tallarines Verde(Green Pasta with Beef) - Lomo Saltado(Stir Fry Beef with Vegetables w/ rice and fries) The beef are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Ceviche is one of the best ceviche's I have ever had. Freshness in your mouth that will make you salivate when you mention this to your friends and family. Tallarines Verde was also good. Pasta is almost like a pesto but not really. Very good and tasty dish with succelent beef to top it off with. Overall experience was amazing that on top of dining in, I had to order for take out as well. Can't wait to go back here! See you soon!
Stopped by just after 12 noon when they opened as I was craving some Seco. Located in North Toronto, in an Industrial area of the city. It was a bit empty as they had just opened. I ordered Seco De Res + Inka Cola. The food was pretty quick and the food was delicious! Just enough and tasty! The young lady serving me was sweet and pleasant. I can’t wait to return and try some more Peruvian dishes the next time I’m in the area
Don’t understand why people said reasonable price with good portion. The fried fish and rice, they charge $23, excuse me? The fish is dry and bland, the salad is small portion, the rice is just regular rice and very small too. Absolutely overpriced!! You can find the exactly same thing in some food courts only for half price. Ceviche taste good, pasta okay, but still don’t worth the price. (Ceviche $25, pasta $25) if you go to some random restaurant at least pasta they will give you some veggies instead of just 2 pieces of beef( not even steak) and pasta. And, my bf got stomachaches after this, don’t wanna blame it on the food, but just an advice, if you are looking for $40+ per person with just mediocre food, you can have a try. Or, just leave.
First time coming to this place. Food was good, I would recommend the combo. Ceviche is amazing. Also yuca frita. Our food was bit salty. Amazing service, our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Good experience
The food is absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are very fair. The place has a warm atmosphere and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. As for authenticity, it’s right on the money. I look forward to my next visit so I can try something else.
Small portions, overpriced, dirty
Parking: Great food, you will like I go all the time there Recommended dishes
Me Charm! Highly recommended, excellent service and good Peruvian flavor
Very nice place, top-notch food and service, the sound quality could be improved a little.
Excellent Foood! ! attentive staff! , great service ! Delicious anticuchos, papa a la huancaina, and picarones, etc. Parking: You can Park in the parking lot.
Peruvian here, Ive been in many Peruvian restaurants around downtown Toronto and I might live around 2 hours from this restaurant but its completely worth it to eating here. Para los peruanos que quieran recordar la comida peruana, este es el lunar para venir.
Super nice place to visit as a tourist and also friendly for LGTBQ+2 people, you can have a coffee while watching, I love people who come and go, I really liked it
I ordered a Ceviche and then a Combo, everything was delicious.
Not a good place...very spicy cebiche
They have messed up a shame
My only spot for Peruvian food ! So many good options to try! Lomo with Tacu Tacu is delicious! Look nowhere else! The portions are enough at least for me! Also antichuchos to start it off with a nice stella artois for that savory added measure
When I entered the place it seemed like a cozy 90s cantina. The service was good since the lady was attentive to all the diners. I ordered a grilled chicken and I did notice that it was smoky and it was good. Then we ordered marine trio (ceviche) in which I was able to highlight the flavor.
Atmosphere was great, we went to watch the Peru game. Aldo is very friendly. The food was a tad bit too salty. Many of us were having Peruvian food for the first time. Overall a pleasant experience.
The food and drinks were excellent, the service a bit slow. The prices were ok
The food is very delicious
First of all, I suggest that you not be influenced by the comments and visit the place. I found the service super nice and the food tasty. Without fear of being wrong, it is the best Latin restaurant of all those I have visited in the GTA. Family, cozy and excellent food I congratulate you
Delicious, I cant say more. I loved it from the entrance to the Tres Leche and the good service...and as they say GOOD.
Great food and service, but they have made the food portions smaller. I guess this economy is hitting everyone hard.
The poor loin and the pisco sour are a scam, expensive and bad. The lomo was a sheet of meat, that is, a laser-cut steak. Its the worst Peruvian restaurant ever been. Their pisco sour was horrible and their lomo a lo poor was a scam, the thinnest steak.
Aldos restaurant is not only a place to enjoy a good peruvian dish but also a place to socialize, enjoy a good show, and dance other words a total package of fun to enjoy with family or friends, Aldo goes about and beyond to make your night a wonderful experience, my friends were very happy, they enjoy the food, thanks Aldo keep up the good work!
2nd time visiting. Great Peruvian food, with the best selection musical karaoked by the owner. Arrive early, stay late. Parking: Maybe about 6-10 spots available Kid-friendliness: There is chicken nuggets and fries for all those kids whose strict diet is exactly that
Sad , they reduce the size of the plates, but they charge the same , a lot. Make me doubt to go back. I spent 230.00 toooo much even for the love of peruvian food. Think about this.
Great tasting food, great service, cozy atmosphere.
Very cozy atmosphere, delicious food. The owner is very friendly. I recommend it. Nice to have a good time.
Amazing place, delicous plates and the owner is a very nice and super fun host , not talking about his amazing voice during the Karaoke!
Unfortunately the food was very disappointing, ceviche is not good and small the Jalea is nothing but scallops. Go to the Mercado Latino instead .
Very good food and good prices, delicious ceviche
They made us wait one hour and 15 min to bring us the food. We were with a group so we couldnt leave.
Great place for parties and anniversaries. Food is tasty and abundant. Ladies washrooms can use a facelift. Unassuming and unpretentious place to share a meal with friends. Vegetarian options: Very limited options Dietary restrictions: Not really an option
Sadly, they were having an off day, the womens washroom was broken our server had to mop in the middle of service and the cleaning chemicals ruined the somewhat delicious food (Ive had better ceviche at this location) wifes parihuela was superb and so were the anticichos.
Amazing food!!! If I could give 100 stars I would. Ive been here numerous times and the food is always delicious. Great service, clean restaurant and food is always fresh. Aldo is an amazing man, his customer service is remarkable. I actually have reservations for tonight lol.
I was there many times before the pandemic... I came back a few days ago and found everything better than before... I promised myself to come back more often, and I will... thank you Aldo, the team, the music and the food... all of 10...
Great place to get Peruvian food !! Good pisco sour, and the lomo saltado was delicious. The only thing we missed was the bread while waiting the mains .
Authentic peruvian cuisine, simply delicious! Service is very fast, great spot for tasty food and some latin music! Food
these people charge the tip !!!!! The tip is always voluntary...well no, here they charge for it!!!!!! the music is very very loud, it doesnt allow you to speak, it is extremely uncomfortable ..... $8 for a small beer!!!!! a robbery I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE
Civeche fish was bad paid 54.00 for the smallest plates not even enough for a five year old , waisted didn t even care to ask why we didn t finish our plates
Worst experience ever eating at this restaurant. I have ate at many Peruvian restaurants and tried their ceviche. I honestly am disappointed with Aldo s fish ceviche is over priced considering the portion of the service is for a new born and the fish completely tasted awful like expired. It was so bad that I couldn t finish my dish after 2 spoons. The waitress was aware of this and didn t do anything about it. The portion you get here is so not worth it you can go to the flea market at downsview and get it for $20 and get 10x the portion which is such a rip off at Aldo s $24 each for a baby portion considering you don t get the white corn or the plantain chips with it I would give 0 stars if I could avoid ceviche here.
Fantastic food! Amazing servers.. so patient and attentive. The owner sang his heart out and the music selection was impeccable
Love it
Seafood was superrrrr delicious. Had the payeya dunno how to spell it properly but it was delicious. Aldo can really sing too. Great time
The food was really good unfortunately we couldnt enjoy our food and company because the dj refuse to lower the music and had it at night club level blasting thru the dinner to the point of not being able to eat and have a normal conversation during dinner hours ..we kindly ask several times to lower the volume just to be ingore making dinner a nightmare and putting an early end to a birthday celebration ..
Music is as loud as possible. Cant hear people talk! Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all!
Food is delicious and authentic Peruvian. Affordable prices and nice atmosphere specially weekends with nice latin music.
Delicious Peruvian food in Toronto
Excellent place, very good food, also excellent service
Excellent anticuchos, combo and amazing Tiradito. Then nice live music and dance.
We arrived for fathers day and we were seated comfortably. My pet peeve was that there were several items on the menu not available. However, the ceviche and pescado a lo macho dishes were absolutely terrific...Coming again soon!
Prepare to be transported to food heaven at this hidden gem. The food was a masterpiece, each bite bursting with complex flavors that lingered on my palate. The service was warm and welcoming, adding an extra touch of magic to the experience. A true culinary revelation.
The food is very delicious
Not Fresh Ceviche, fish taste old. They dont have Lomo saltado, no Anticuchos, WHAT??!! Their Rice is overcoocked. At the end... Very expensive place for such a cheap expirience. Do not visit this guys.
Way too slow service. The staff was definitely not prepared for the amount of guests.
A fish ceviche 27 DOLLARS!!!!!!!! The economy is bad but this restaurant abuses the prices, for the pittance of the dish they give you. Its not worth it at all.
Delicious food and chicha morada
Service is great. Food is good ( provided they actually have appetizers or other available ). Food
I ve been here a few times and likes the food a lot. Couple times my family got bad chicken or smelly fries. Recently we had a birthday and 2 hours in they told us they are cuttting us off from beer . That we had to buy $25 more food to stay . Idk if I m coming back
Great place for Peruvian food
Was my first time to try Peruvian cuisine, and I truly enjoyed the Latin culture and vibe that you would feel when dining in this place. We did the open mic and had a blast! It was a memorable night with my friends. Also, the staff was very friendly!
Karaoke on Fridays, there is no music to dance Colombian style, of course the restaurant is Peruvian.!!! Hahaha
Family and friends loved it good music .you can sing if you want.
It s my first time trying Peruvian food, it is really good, it doesn t disappoint, fair price and good service, everything fresh and tasty
I ordered a fish ceviche to go which took 40mins to get. The ceviche is very good but the portion was EXTREMELY SMALL not worth $27.
The quality of the food decreased considerably, the flavor, portions and texture changed since the last time. Apart from that, the lady took the order and I had to repeat it 3 times and she still sent it wrong, the cream turned very old at its point as overcooked, it was lost money and a lost customer too.
Very good experience food and service are excellent. Thank you so much for the beautiful moment I have there with my family and friends.
Orders take long. You could dirty dishes by where you are sitting. The ceviche was good, as well the anticuchos, would not recommend pescado a lo macho or pescado frito.
Friendly service.
Nice food and a Vietnamese Banh mi right next door
Very bad attention, very little food for the price and on top of that they made us eat in a hurry
Amazing food! But service sucks. Theyll have you sitting for so long without even asking if you would like something to drink.
Very good atmosphere.
The staff was nice, but the food was not good. The ceviche was subpar, and the Lomo saltado was dry. Maybe they had an off day, but we were disappointed
Food was salty
We arrived and they took a while to serve, normal food but a little oversalted and cold. Set presentation not very good.
The food was very tasty, the atmosphere is alive!! But it gets really busy and you do get your food late. The waiters are amazing amonst the chaos. Great experience
Waited for 30 minutes didnt even look at us . I left
First Peruvian restaurant I visited in Toronto.
Loved this place amazing food
Great place
Amazing food!! My go-to place for Peruvian food
Very rich and excellent service.
Delicious food. I keep coming back!
Delicious Peruvian food. Jalea is one of my favourites to eat here.
I ordered ceviche mixto, it was very tasty.
Very bad, bad service, the old waitress with short hair does not know how to treat the public, she looks very bitter and it reflects in her attention! People who hate customer service should work on something else. We ordered appetizers (not sharing dishes), empty restaurant and she refused to give us a table of 4, for each thing we had to call her, I understand if the restaurant was full but it was empty! We drove almost 30 minutes to eat there, the food is ok, the pisco sour mediocre. We asked to speak to the owner Aldo but he never came to our table. We had to leave, and the tip is automatic so they dont care about bad service. There are so many Peruvian restaurants and this one is not worth it! Never more!
Great hidden restaurant. Great food (Ceviche). Great vibe (live music and dance). Im taking my family here next time!
My wife ordered a Seco de carne, we received it with cold meat. Sangria with the smell of cheap perfume and lomo saltado with a lot of soy. The person in charge says that they make the sangria that way, but the waitress verified the bad smell. As time went by the service became worse. What a shame that having one of the best cuisines in the world, they dont know how to represent it. I dont recommend coming. Nooooooo
We ordered a drink called Pisco (so different but in a good way) and for appetizer we got Ceviche Mixto and Anticuchos and for main Lomo Salgado. Everything was absolutely amazing and Im so glad I found this amazing Peruvian restaurant.
Very good food!! Very good food!!
Super good food my favorite for sure
Top notch Peruvian food in Toronto (GTA). The food is the main character here and its the place to go for real Peruvian dishes.
Great food!
The very best
Really good food
A restaurant that at first glance gives the impression of being a canteen with empty beer boxes piled up. Amateur service and average food. Ceviche is a good option as is jelly.
The food is very delicious
Very good food. We had the seafood and it was great, almost like eating it from Peru. Also the prices were not too expensive and the restaurant was spacious and clean. Parking: Plenty of spots outside of the restaurant, its located in a place with not too much traffic.
Very good ceviche, really delicious, only they dont have chips, for Mexicans who appreciate that flavor they will only be found on the same plate in the form of toasted corn.
Food was good but I think a little to over price for a ceviche and jalea and a pop 67 dollars???
Very burn Peruvian food place .excellent service
Loved the seafood platter and Ceviche. The corn nuts were nice and crunchy.
I went again, and the truth is the food is good, but the service is TERRIBLE! The waitresses are super rude, especially the short one with black hair, she throws the plates at you, she is late with the order, she answers in a bad way, and or surprise they put the tip included in the bill for a terrible service. But what do they care, they treat you badly because they are going to take money from you anyway.
The food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and authentic. The service is friendly, courteous, and professional. This is truly an experience of Peruvian authentic cuisine at its very best. And yes, there really is an Aldo.
The place says it closes at 7:30pm. We arrived at 6:00pm and they said they couldnt serve and asked us to leave even though it was open and had several unoccupied tables. A shame because it seems to be a good place.
It is a place for Latinos, there is live Latin music and it is very nice
Rich, excellent service and good atmosphere
Excellent food and fair prices
First time at this restaurant. Welrd location but u forget that when u enter and start eating the delicious Peruvian dishes . Very simple but delicious great proportions. I got the combo of ceviche parihuela and Jalea . Highly recommended
The food is good and the service is too - except that the machine had a prompt for a tip even though a 10% gratuity had already been added to the bill
First and only time we will buy something at this restaurant. The portions are quite ridiculous for the price paid for them and the quality is very average. NOT recommended. I hope the owner reads this message and takes action.
This place is the best, we love the lomo saltavo and cheiffa speciale. Service is great.
Absolutely hands down one of the BEST Peruvian restaurants in Toronto! Their lomo, ceviche & jalea is super amazing! I have been going to this place since I was younger and their food and service is outstanding! 10/10 I would recommend!
Very good food
I ordered a jallea and all I got was over Fried calamari no fish or shrimp .
What a great find! We ordered, ceviche, crab causa, chaufa, jalea, tallarín verde, tres leches and chicha morada. Everything was delicious, we felt we were transported back to Peru. Valeria, who helped us with our order, has such a great energy and was so good with her recommendations. She even came out to our car with our order. Will definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommended!
The ceviche is the best I have tried in Toronto. Great service.
Excellent food!
Always love the Lomo Saltado. My favourite!
Very bad service. We sat for an hour and they didnt even attend to us. And we spoke several times with the staff
Amazing
Hands down the best Peruvian restaurant in Ontario and maybe Canada. Awesome food, plenty of options (including meat, seafood, veggie) and super b customer service. Fair prices and big portions.
Hands down, probably some of the best ceviche Ive had since Ive been to Peru. It was delicious. I bought the spicy ceviche de pescado & anticuchos to go-& of course I had to get some Inca kolas too. The total was under 40$ and it fed two people sufficiently. The anticuchos were tender & well seasoned, and the portions are fair for the price. The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars was because it was a little busy when I arrived, & they only had two waitresses so I had to wait a little. I was definitely glad I did though; I would recommend this restaurant to anyone whos familiar and unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine. I will definitely be back here again, hopefully to dine in and try some of their other signature dishes.
Food was excellent will definitely come back!
EXCELLENT PERUVIAN FOOD!!!! REASONABLE PRICES....
Food: lomo saltado industrial fries. They could be homemade, re-stitched meat. The precebtation of the dish was quite poor and messy. Passable flavor, nothing out of this world. Avocado salad: quite small for the dressing value, it does not play with the salad. An industrial vinaigrette apparently. Atmosphere: I got a lame table, the tables are black which gives little confidence. Disco music not very pleasant for a lunch. The only good thing was the service from the waitress, who was cordial and friendly.
Great food. Loved the calamari. Thoughtful wait staff... Youll need to speak a bit of Spanish. I would go back, but I wish that they made their menu a little more convenient to read.
The portion of food when you buy a takeaway order is a scam, very small, it seems that once you leave the restaurant they dont care, customers dont buy takeaway xf
Between Hamilton too Scarborough/Markham and Barrie, Aldos has an exceptional array of taste, dish size and quality.
Great plac
Good food and good service!!!
Ive been there several times, great for parties, fantastic food. The best, the Dj.
Service a little slow, due to having few staff attending. The delicious food.
It is a very familiar place and the food is very delicious!! I totally recommend it!!
Good family atmosphere
Great food, great ambience. Overall good times.
Good spot. A little pricey but everything we ordered was very tasty, just wish the portion sizes were bigger!
Always a great time great food and dancing
Very tasty
Best peruvian food Ive had in Toronto, so many tasty options & friendly staff.
Hello to all who are looking to eat at Aldo sRestaurant! let me tell you it is the best Peruvian food out there. The food is always made fresh and with care. Specially now with this whole Covid situation, I felt safe going in there. They are taking all the precautions and safety guidelines! The customer service was awesome they are very friendly and professional. Overall I Had a good take out experience and the food was amazing, will definitely go back! Thanks Aldo s restaurant for having amazing food with amazing flavours! Keep it up!
Food in general was very good but rice was dry and old.
