Healthy, wholesome & made to go.
Since living In the area we decided to try this place out , Hubby was craving a meatball sub. Staff & Service was great and so was the little restaurant, food was good but nothing special , really expensive for 2 sandwiches.. I don’t think we will be coming back , really overpriced for regular sandwiches!
Great pizza! I come here regularly for their pizza slices and their sandwiches, and once in a while I get a margarita pizza from them. Very nice atmosphere in the store with great workers. And amazing food! Always go the extra mile with their service. Definitely check them out
Pizza is always tasty, but WHY DID THEY CHOP THE MORTADELLA like this?? It's usually sliced thinly and delicious. This was chunky and borderline criminal, lol (plus the chunks kept falling off). Please tell me it was a new staffer and an error.... I gave it 3* instead of 5* as this is just wrong.🙏
Amazing Italian creations. I love everything that I have had from Moto Via. My favorite is the Prosciutuffle sandwich.
Is there a sixth star I can add? Real Italian food. More than pizza! 🍕 They have sandwiches and salads and much more. The frozen takeout section is ideal for quick meals at home and also a full counter of fresh takeaway dishes. Check out my pics and video to see what is available. I have been coming to this company for over 3 years.
Great looking shop with lots of quick to-go options and a nice pizza & sandwich menu. Unfortunately when I arrived, none of the staff acknowledged me - they were busy putting orders together and did not greet or say anything to me until they were finished with what they were doing. About 10 minutes later, I was able to put my order in and it didn't take long - maybe 5 minutes - for my pizza slice and sandwich were ready. The pizza slice was OK - kind of a cross between "al taglio" and Sicilian but the crust was a little under-done and the cheese wasn't fully melted. The flavour was pretty good though and for the price ($5 +tax), it's a pretty good value - just ask them to leave it in for a little extra time. My chicken cutlet panini was a nice size and I got provolone, sweet peppers and mushrooms as toppings ($1.75 each) - the bun had a nice crustiness outside with a soft interior and a nice smear of marinara on each side. The chicken and toppings lacked seasoning, however and this contributed to an overall disappointingly bland sandwich experience. Overall, I'd return for a slice of pizza maybe but as I mentioned, I'll ask them to keep it in the oven for a little longer than usual.
Brightly lit, no real complaints other than it feels overpriced. They were out of porchetta, so I had a panini with sliced salami, peppers, and olives. Everything was ice cold. I was expecting it to be heated on a panini press. It's hard to pay $17+tax+tip for a cold sandwich. We also had the meatball sandwich and that was served warm, with generous sized meatball and at $14 felt better priced. Will try the pizzas next time. Good place to stop if you need a quick prepared meal.
This is a review for delivery: Moto Via offers a dizzying number of items, but if you’re looking for something to have right away, order carefully as anything that’s not pizza or part of their “snack table” arrives frozen. Even the Nutella tiramisu ($8.99) arrived as a block of ice and required some thawing before having as a late-night dessert. The creamy part of the tiramisu was nice, a great thick combination of Nutella and mascarpone. But it was a shame the espresso element was missing from the lady fingers, so the sweet ends up more like mousse cake than tiramisu. Even the Parmigiano nodini ($0.50 each) need a bit of prep. While they are a cheap add-on, they also arrive hard by the evening meal. So, they needed a quick nuke in the microwave to soften enough to enjoy. What Moto Via does well is their pizza. The calabrese ($20) is a great combination of mild soppressata topped with roasted red peppers and green olives, all bound together with Crotonese cheese. While the olives can sometimes overpower other ingredients on a pizza, these were fresh Calabrese green olives so despite being scattered in large chunks, they weren’t overly salty. Just carefully pick up the first slice - when it first arrives, the hot melted cheese tends to slide off with all the other ingredients. The deliveries are quick, the pizzas arrived nice and hot., which allowed to the edges of the crust to remain blistered and chewy. Although, the middle does get a little soft with the tomato-based pies. A slightly soggy centre is a trade-off I don’t mind as their San Marzano tomato sauce is deliciously fresh and not too acidic. It also gives the pizza flavour as I found the Zucca ($18), a white pizza, a tad bland. There isn’t a lot of oil on the crust, which means it’s probably healthier, but with white pizza you need that drizzle of oil and salt on top to make the pie pop. The dish has good bones: lovely fresh mozzarella, ribbons of zucchini, and thinly sliced rosemary potatoes that all blend together nicely. With a bit more oil and seasoning, the Zucca would be amazing.
Ordered their rose penne and tiramisu and both were not tasty and flavourless.
great food and service
Folks, I just purchased 3 pastas - all 3 were inedible!? How is that possible?! They all tasted sour/bitter/bad/terrible. May have caused mild food poisoning...whats going on over there??
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moto Via, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, capturing the cozy charm of an authentic Italian eatery. Management was perfect!
Such a shame! Good pizza but you can t have staff rolling their eyes at you. The lady cooking was nice but customer service overall was really bad. I don t think I ll be back.
The pizza was extremely salty. Not sure if it was one of their bad days but having spent 20+ $$$ on a pizza I was expecting a better taste. Ordered the margherita pizza and left highly disappointed
Good service and food
Very fast service and the workers were friendly! Came here with my friend for lunch and got my meal quickly
This is the best pizza I have eaten
Ordered for pickup and food was ready on time and packed well. Service was super friendly. Thank you!
Very kind and helpful staff
My sandwich was very big and yummy for a good price and service was great! Vegetarian options: Yummy vegetarian options Food : 5/5 |
The pizza was tasting like organic tomato sauce and cheese and the meatball was so tinder. Friendly Staff and nice tastes . Clean and lively environment. I highly recommend specifically the pizza.
This was the best pizza I ve had in a long time, had such an amazing time!
I went there for a quick bite after grocery run across the street. The price is high consider the small piece of lasagne I ordered. The place is very small and tables are very close together, which is not great for conversations. Also, is there a code against the exit where the ground is immediately after the door? I was expecting the walk out not step down when I opned . I should of been more careful.
I recently called in an order, clearly stated i wanted 3 calzone, ordered each one saying calzone after each order. When I showed up to pick up I stated I am here to pick up the 3 calzone. I got home to find 3 pizzas. As I was in a rush I could not return to the store. When I called the store to let them know about the mistake I got a sorry. This is how you lose clients. Screwed up my order and did not make it right. I wont be spending my money here again.
Really nice sandwiches and prepared foods here. My first visit, will not be the last!
Great Italian sandwiches! Very authentic!
We have been coming here for years. The staff could not be nicer and the food could not be more delicious. The quality is top notch. I highly recommend Moto Via on Avenue Road to everyone.
Atmosphere looks like a Italian pizzeria, Terrible service, short staff No cutlery servings no glasses for serving the drinks, pizza was ok, gluten free pizza was not good
Great veal cutlet sandwich. The veal is a little slippery and every topping is an upcharge, but amazing taste and hit the spot. Awesome selection of frozen and premade meals and other Italian foodstuffs. Really clean and charming atmosphere.
Very overpriced and under valued 1.75+tax for one slice of cheese added to the sandwich, and another 1.75+tax for 4-5 slices of mushrooms . Another 2.75+tax for a can of coke! A $20 chicken sandwich should actually taste like chicken, and not feel like a piece of cardboard with canned tomato sauce added to it. Anyone looking for a proper chicken cutlet sandwich, stay away from here and just go elsewhere. I feel robbed in broad daylight
Horrendous customer service!!! I ve called in TWICE to make takeout orders. On both occasions the restaurant hadn t even started my order by the time I arrived!!! Horrible!!
the amazing place for who wants to experience new taste in a cosy and friendly place. miss Elly is so kind and punctual. she did the exact thing I wanted. I prefer this place.
The best chicken cutlet Sandwich we have ever had!!!
Been here maybe 3 times already and will be back. Sandwiches and pizzas are both great. The foccachia sandwich is huge so go hungry or prepare to share. The paninis are also great. Pizza was good as well. In addition there s lots of frozen and grocery type options, so easy to pick up some items to take home for later.
Best pizza I ve ever had (Sicilian eggplant)! Mostly take-out, but they have a few tables so you can dine in as well. Very bright, clean, excellent and very friendly service. They also have a wide variety of prepared meals you can heat up at home. The eggplant parmesan is fabulous. Their cappuccino biscotti gelato is wonderful, as is their tiramisu. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu (panini, sandwiches, soup ).
Not worth the price
Worst management ever Manager elly is very rude and unprofessional she doesnt even allow delivery driver to use the washroom which is by law now somebody should take notice against her and the restaurant
Very professional staff and very kind and generous. Thank you
Very authentic and delicious fresh and frozen ready to go dishes. We purchased the cacio and pepe frozen sauces and we were so amazed at how easy it was to prepare and it felt like we were back in Rome.
Italian wedding soup is amazing. Pizza is absolutely fantastic, best in the city.
The pizza is extremely hit and miss, depending on who is preparing and cooking it. All other items aside from pizza slices are overpriced and underwhelming, a sandwich with a few topping costs over 20.....that price is insane even on avenue road....good luck.
Saw it was relocating ..thank goodness it is staying in the area.
Delicious pizzas, great coffee and excellent service.
Taste so fresh! And the extra cheese is a bonus can t wait to tell my pizza loving friends about this place
I love this Pizza these guys are awesome!!! Thank you so much
Pizza was delicious, excellent variety.
Great Atmosphere and amazing staff!!!! Yaya is incredible! His Focaccia and bread are delicious and it is always a pleasure speaking with him while we wait for our food!
Excellent pizza! Fresh ingredients. Pricey but the quality is there. Blows the other standard local pizza joints away.
If you want some of the best authentic pizza Toronto has to offer....this is a must have! Absolutely incredible flavor, incredible selection and incredible service. Absolutely, hands down phenomenal experience!
Ohhhhhh yeaaahhh
I ve visited the location on Avenue RD a handful of times in recent weeks. Delicious pizzas and a variety of home-made, fresh Italian style food for takeout. And the friendly, attentive service from Yaya and Ellie just makes the experience that much better.
I frequent this place because their prepared counter dishes are good quality, tasty and good value. Focaccia crust is a good texture. Their prepared cutlets rapini Brussels sprouts and roasted cauliflower are a favourite of mine. But it s all good.
The rudeness of the woman working here rises above the beauty of the place. The pizza was meh. The short americano was hot toilet water and the latte was burnt. 10/10 wouldn t recommend.
Best gluten free pizza!!! My family loves the focaccia pizza and I also love the salads and sauces. Croissants are absolutely the incredible!! The coffee is consistently perfect and I come at least 3x/week for it. Favorite neighborhood spot
Ive only ordered coffee and bought the frozen gelato chocolate treats. The coffee is delicious and probably the hottest Ive had as take out. The frozen gelato treats are amazing (get the limonato)!
(edited) The issue was resolved - Thank you for the response, the pizza was still great even though the salad wasnt... I hope the feedback helps with their service in the future. The Greek salad I ordered came frozen. When I called them, they told me to come and pick up another order since I had it delivered via Uber and they didn t have the delivery service. They were not apologetic at all and told me to resolve the refund issue through Uber. Wow... A lovely day ruined by ordering from a wrong place.
This place is great and a hidden gem at lunch where you can get a massive and delicious slice of pizza for $4. We have had their sauces, pastries and salads and everything is always fresh and delicious!
Love shopping at this location. Good selection of ready to eat and frozen Italian food. The potato focaccia is one of my favorites. cibo delizioso!
The best coffee I have had in Toronto! The smell of the fresh foccacia and coffee hits you as soon as you walk in. There are wonderful meal options both for take out, but also ingredients such as pastas and sauces for at-home preparation. The last time I went I had a great sausage and aubergine foccacia baked in a wood fire oven that was delicious, as well as a double espresso. Would definitely recommend choosing this place for a quick snack or lunch!
Awesome place for lunch, great food for a good price!
Pizza is very good. The pasta is about as good as you would make at home. Prices are about average to high for this type of food. Recommended.
Fantastic quick Italian lunch, great food great service!
The pizza is yummy and the ice cream in a bun was a very nice surprise.
They had a promotional event whereby we received a cheese pizza and choice of Gelato!!The pizza was authentic and yummy, the hazelnut Gelato was super super amazing!!
Fantastic pizza. You can choose dough from wood burning or limestone oven. We loved their thin and crispy southern dough option - best in the city, and we ve tried many! Fresh, quality ingredients. Definitely recommend - a much welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Great quality of food and really nice people Apparently the coffee is good too but never tried myself (yet)
Great service and excellent food! Highly recommend!!
Love the pizza. Thin crust, delicious sauce and toppings delivered in a sleek red and black box. Highly recommend!
Great place for pizza, coffee, takeout food, and pastries.
Really nice staff and great food.
We ve stopped for coffee and it was the most disgusting coffee I had in my life. We ve ordered one cappuccino and one americano, never again. Didn t try the food but not sure I would go back.
Just had this tonight, excellent wood burning pizza. Tasty ingredients, really good tomato sauce, great pizza all around!
Best Pizza & Desserts Ever! Alfredo is the Best! Great Service & friendly staff. I highly recommend Motovia!!
Excellent prepared pasta dishes. Just take them home and reheat!
