Delicious gourmet pizzas! Amongst the best in the city

We placed an order and were about to head out when our son of 2.5 years was running around a lower level floor of the basement of a business that I run and faceplanted himself on the hard tiled floor. It was a really bad fall and my wife and I spent at least 30 to 45 minutes doctoring him up and dressing his wounds which amounted to minor but painful for him bruises and scratches on the right side of his face. When we finally arrived our pizza had been sitting there for over an hour. The young woman at the cash upon hearing my story immediately offered to remake our pizzas. I was honestly stunned. The though had never occured to me but my wife who was waiting in the car with my son had wanted to cancel the order because of the delay. To my complete surprise both problems were elegantly addressed by the thoughtful cashier at the Avenue Road location. In about 10 minutes we had fresh new pizzas and headed home to enjoy them. I doubt this would have happened at most pizza places. Amazing work guys and you just made a life long customer!!! Thank you for Maker Pizza for making our evening!!! BTW our son loved the pizza too!!! Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian options and you can substitute and add whatever you like on a pizza which is what you would expect from a higher end pizza place. :) Kid-friendliness: Our family experience was they were very sensitive and attentive to our needs. Wheelchair accessibility: The location is wheel chair accessible.

Ordered the Jerk Chicken Pizza. It was epic! Perfect combo of spices and seasoning that had me thinking I was at my Grandma s house eating her chicken. It was that good! Crazy to think a pizza place can make better jerk chicken than some Caribbean restaurants. Keep up the good work Maker Pizza!

Love their food... but the staff is always clueless... forgetting part of the order... or twice now they take an order.. it takes 6-7 minutes to complete... then they call you back 5 minutes later saying they ran out of wings... 6pm and they ran out but dont know... clueless... SMH Today re-ordered... they didnt run out of wings... :) food was great!!!

Delicious pizza! The So Mushroom pizza and the garlic fingers with donair sauce are divine. Be sure to ask for the finisher on the pizza crust: everything bagel basted with honey. It truly elevates the pizza and makes the crust taste like the iconic St. Viateur bagels from Montreal.

Best thin crust pizza ever , Wish they were in ottawa .

The disgusting guy working there scooped up my slice with his bare hands and put it on my plate. He picked up the slice with his hands before putting it in the oven, which is fine since the heat kills bacteria. However, when he pulled the slices out of the oven, he grabbed it with his bare hands and placed it on my plate. He didn t even hold it by the crust, he legit scooped the slice with his hand. I asked him why he did that, and he said he was allowed to. I ll never step foot in this place again.

Its not really a dine in place. However, pizza is buttery and simply melts in your mouth! Dipping sauces are large and delicious!! Its a bit expensive for the quantity, but taste is wonderful.

Makers pizza is our favourite!! The quality of food, the texture and taste of the pizza is always consistent. The dough is so light and the crust is so airy and the toppings always match perfectly. A little more pricy than the average pizza joint, but worth it and definitely not average pizza. Highly recommend.

Their large size pizza is delish but there is definitely smth wrong with this medium size. I had high hopes for Maker Pizza, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I specifically ordered the pizza with sesame on the crust, but they forgot to include it, which was disappointing. On top of that, the pizza itself was extremely dry something just felt off. The toppings didn t seem as fresh as I expected, and the overall flavor was lacking. I ve heard good things about this place, so maybe it was just an off day, but I was left unsatisfied with my order. Hoping for a better experience next time. It s quite disappointing when you give $30+ for a pizza and u don t enjoy it.

Maker is, essentially, a pizza place where, it wouod appear that the vast majority of its customers order to pick up ot for delivery. The three stars for atnosphere are not meant to diminish my experience over a significant number of years. The atmosphere is purely functional as befits a take out operation. Both the pizzas and the wings are excellent.

Let me start by saying The pizzas were delicious..the girl at the counter Alyssa was great. It seemed liked she was the only one working. The reason I am giving this a 3 star is because of the atmosphere ambience of the rest of the staff. They were talking so loudly in Punjabi at the back. Not helping Alyssa nor interacting with her too much. It seemed like the 3 4 of the guys along with the girl were not at work but chilling at their home being loud and unsocial. We ate our slices and left but yes it was quite loud and obnoxious of them to work like this isolating themselves speaking in their language. Its rude to speak in another language when theres someone that doesnt speak it. I am indian too which is why Im expressing my opinion on the matter. And I am embarrassed for being indian thanks to this uncultured behavior.

Very good pizza place in Toronto with multiple locations across the city. Ordered the Dr. Pepperoni. Perfect amount of pepperoni, cheese was delicious and the crust had a good mix of cripsy and chewy.

Ordered delivery. Devoured delivery. This is coming from someone who lives in NYC and tried them all. Reg sauce was a little too sweet for one of my kids (they also have a sweet sauce - so maybe it got mixed up), but the Tropic Thunder was solid. Ordered 12 pies which are definitely enough for 1-1.5 people, esp. if you get sauces to dip the crust in. Crust was solid. Would reorder. Photo is of half the thunder.

Lets just start with I have been looking forward to having this pizza for very long time. Don t waste your time or Money $65 for two pops and two small pizzas with very little toppings on them undercooked and the dough tasted horrible.The sauce was nothing special Either . There is much better pizza in the city. Stay clear of this place !!!!

Used to love your pizza. The last 2 times have been below the quality expected. The pepperoni used to be cooked with crispy edges. I even asked for it well done and it still wasnt done the same as it used to be. It was also a bit bland. Introduced the pizza to newcomers and they were not impressed. Dont think I will be returning. Expensive pizza and only so-so. Think North of Brooklyn will be getting my business from now on. As a follow up.... Maker Pizza called and apologized for pizza that was not up to their standard. Offered me a refund. I will try it again.

100% the best pizza crust in Toronto. It s lightly crunch, chewy, bubbly, with a buttery flavour. Sauce, cheese, and toppings are all great if a little biased on the spicy side.

Id avoid ordering on Uber eats as they dont seal their pizza boxes. If theyre sending food out through a third party delivery driver, then they should be properly sealing the food before it gets sent out. Ridiculous.

WOW. After eating at almost every top rated pizza place it Toronto, I wasn t ready to be so impressed! It is the best pizza I ve had (Neapolitan style) or top 2 for sure (I ve tried over 50 places). When you look at the prices initially, they are quite steep, but damn is it worth it. Be prepared to wait for a while as they are quite busy during prime time (this was on a Sun evening). If you like Neapolitan Pizza, you will not regret this. Guaranteed. If you don t like it, please let me know and I will come finish it. They now have a New York style slice and a Chicago Tavern Style Thin Crust. OMG is it awesome. Don t forget the Chili Crisp with Garlic Dip.

I have been dying to try maker pizza and I finally got to try ! The margherita is fantastic - that tomato sauce is just so good. I love their pizza dipping sauces especially the spicy creamy garlic. I am glad the pies were properly sliced, so we had no issues with pulling it apart and devouring every morsel.

Well crafted pie. Located at the corner of Avenue Road and Lawrence. There is a large free lot (shared with the market next doors) The staff are plenty friendly and craft up great food

Was an amazing pizza! A mix between Neapolitan and bar style pizza. Worth the money and the dill dip was DELICIOUS. Also got a lot of it!

I found it overrated. A small pizza is tiny and with 2 dips is extremely expensive for what you get. The pizza was good but nothing to rave about and the dips were underwhelming and overpriced. The creamy garlic is super thick (I didn t even end up eating it) and the dill was watery. It was fine - just not impressive. Also ordered 2 beers while we were waiting 15 mins for our pizza and instead of serving them to us upon paying, the cashier just left them sitting in a bag warm until we had to finally ask for them

I dont know how I feel about my experience. I enjoyed the pizza a lot but when I went to the bathroom, there was some homeless man smoking weed in the corner, crunched up in a ball, reciting congratulations, youve reached maker pizza. It was a scene straight out of a horror movie.

Worst place ever. I found a staple in my pizza. The place is garbage. They would not take responsibility for it. Plus the sauce on the pizza is terrible.

We ordered the Napoli and Margherita pizza! They were both amazing! Sauces, toppings, and thin NY style crust are all perfect. Highly recommended. We have always heard great things about this place, and it was our first time trying Makers. Definitely will go back. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Over priced for such a small pizza. Pepperoni is decent, mushroom is underwelming, and the garlic dipping sauce taste weird and has a weird texture like hummus, its not like a cream garlic aioli. The crust gets tough and is not fresh and chewy.

Maker is my favourite pizza but their not having an option to edit or cancel the order on the website had made ordering from them really difficult; not to mention if your order is within a half hour of lunch you can only call them at 11:30 before it happens. If you do cancel it is 10-15 business days before you get a refund. So I hope there ux improves to easily edit and cancel as well as improve a refund on an order I could have easily edited. There were so many snafus so I ll have to reconsider delivery but the pizza is quite delicious.

Have you met your Maker??? This was not my first time at Maker Pizza and definitely not my last. Ample parking and its free! Walking in I was greeted immediately...I didnt get her name, but she was super friendly, made some great recommendations and was patient while I placed a huge order (she should be the social media face for Maker if you ask me). I ordered the Dr. Pepperoni, the big mac pizza, the spicy vodka, the mushroom (ohhhhmyfungigosh to die for!)...ok and who doesnt love a good dip for no other reason than to over indulge lol?! The creamy garlic AND the spicy garlic...No words, just add the dip to your order and thank me later. It wasnt overly priced, and well worth it! Lastly, I had my son with me so we couldnt leave without their delicious cookies! I mean who doesnt need a lil something sweet after all that...afterall it is playoff season. Buy it, try it, and thank me later. Best pizza in Toronto!

Maker is always our first choice when it s pizza night. We have our regular menu favourites, and like to follow their social media for their limited offers. The quality of ingredients are excellent. The return of the Mac garlic fingers are an impressive mash up of pizza and a Big Mac. We ve never been disappointed by Maker and highly recommended for any occasion.

I have been eating Maker for years but feel like the flavours have become quite ridiculous and the menu is tiny, you simply can t make a decision because there is nothing to choose from. If you don t eat pepperoni - there are no other protein options. Those weird flavours of pickled onion have nothing to do with Italian cuisine. Marinara is very similar to margarita, tomato sauce and cheese. It can be replaced with something completely different to bring variety to the flavour line. The new tavern line is a pure disappointment with oil dripping from every piece. For now, only a margarita is the way to go. Don t want you guys to lose your rating, you have been doing an amazing job for years but wanted to give you feedback for the future that the last 1-2 years it s not IT . You guys are not competing with Pizza Pizza, so respectfully customers do expect better stuff from you. Add some basic toppings like chicken, bell pepper, and arugula. Thank you

Some people love the pizza style here, some people dont, but there is no debating that its delivered at a higher price point. As such, evaluating alongside N of Brooklyn or similar, it doesnt hold up as well, but Franks Best is great! Very happy with the delivery service, which arrived promptly despite being ordered online hours earlier.

By far the best pizza on Avenue Rd!

Delicious but preferred the other location. Got the maker OG and really really wished there was more caramelized onions on the pizza. Maybe next time Ill customize it. Without the onion the bites just werent as good.

Best pizza in town!

Tucked away at the side, with a nice come in for pizza atmosphere but has a bonus of some extra items like their delicious cookies. The price is a little steep but worth the try. Disappointing news if you want a slice only, come before 4pm as they dont serve slices after 4pm.
