Went for birthday dinner on a weekday and we got a table in no time. Staff were friendly and made sure we got a nice table because there were three of us, we were okay to be seated in a small table but they made sure we had space and were confortable. Wagyu Beef Ramen was very good! It was flavourful, not salty, tender beef, just overall cooked to perfection! Service was fast and efficient. We had the ube basque cheesecake for dessert and it tasted so good. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

Konjiki used to be one of my favorite ramen places, but I feel like recent visit had smaller portions and less soup. They also have these new sets now that look great, the dessert and sides are very lackluster though. Cake was dry, potato salad was weird and soup was just OK. Clam broth is still pretty good, overall 3.5/5

Amazing broth for the pork shoyu ramen. Avacado ramen is also good for vegetarians. Servers are very attentive and check in on which I loved. And food came out quite quick. There is also a little dessert bakery but honestly I was full after the ramen. Did not like the yuzu sencha drink, it was very bland even after adding syrup to it. Also the edamame wasn't salted, however the servers did provide salt for us to mix with after asking. I would suggest maybe having the edamame salted as it adds to the flavour.

Pretty solid location - I've ordered Uber Eats from here quite frequently for a few years now but finally dined in recently. It'll always have a special place in my heart because of all the buy one get one free deals I've managed to get through UE 😂. Staff here run a pretty efficient operation and are pretty friendly. We ordered the spicy miso ramen and the katsudon box set. The food was pretty standard so if ramen is your jam then you'll enjoy it. The restaurant also has a long table where you can dine alongside other customers, which is neat as long as you don't get put beside anyone that's sick 😷. This location also has a Saryo attached to it if you want some dessert afterward.

Their ramen was rich and flavourful, not too salty. Recommend the signature one. The smoky was a bit heavy to me but will be the best to anyone like it. The service was okay, but it took quite a long time for them to serve a bowl of ramen. It’s not a good idea when you have a short time to eat

They have just two vegetarian options in the menu and on request they turned them into vegan by not adding eggs. Ramen was nice but guess I shouldn’t have finished the veggies before then ramen. Also had mushroom fries which were good. Be mindful of parking, it’s difficult to part nearby.

During our visit, we indulged in a delightful array of dishes, starting with the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen with chicken and the Spicy Miso Ramen. Alongside these, we savored the Gyoza, and for dessert, we treated ourselves to the Matcha and Strawberry ice creams. The broth in both ramen dishes was exceptional, boasting a rich and comforting flavor profile that was a true delight to the senses. The chicken, although slightly overcooked, which gave it a bit of a chewy texture, was still quite flavorful. On the other hand, the pork was tender and perfectly cooked, adding a pleasant contrast to the meal. Overall, the taste experience at this restaurant was highly satisfying. The highlight of our meal, however, was the dessert. The Matcha and Strawberry ice creams were exquisite, providing a refreshing and delicious end to our dining experience. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, making each bite a joy. The service was equally impressive. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to understand our preferences and suggesting dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. Their recommendations truly enhanced our dining experience. In conclusion, our visit to this restaurant was marked by excellent food and outstanding service, making it a memorable dining experience.

Been going to Midori Ramen for my ramen fix the last few weeks and decided to freshen it up with a new spot. Not the best decision in retrospect. Konjiki is fine but a little on the bland side. Decided to switch things up and try their vegetarian option. It was extremely bland and wouldn’t recommend it at all. I tried my wife’s ramen which was a traditional soup base and still wasn’t impressed. On the bright side the karaage chicken was good but I would steer clear of the deep fried king mushroom. It tasted like oily soggy chips. Quite possibly one of the most embarrassing appetizers I’ve ever experienced. To sum it up. It’s fine. I just wouldn’t go again. There’s much better Ramen out there.

The food is great. Im writing this review as Im waiting for my daughter to finish her food. The only issue I have is with the service at the end, I drop 60 dollar cash on a two bowl super size ramen, which came up to 53 including tax. The miss ask me if I wanted change and I answered yes. She comes back and shows me a 5 and a toonie, which gives me no wiggle room to adjust it or gave me any chance to even touch my change. The girl got some skills but that really bothered me mentally because I didnt want to cause of a fuss in front my family. I hope she reads this. Next time, just get the change and leave it on my table. How I tip is my business, but this felt so forced to tip you how you wanted it.

I was worried it wouldnt be delicious because the reviews were so different, but it was really delicious. I ordered clam broth ramen and it was clean and delicious. Compared to other stores, it is true that the quantity is a little less for the same price, but it is not that small. On the contrary, at other stores, I always got sick of leaving food or overdoing it, but since it was just the right amount to begin with, I emptied it completely and felt moderately full. And I think Onsen Tamago is the best here.

Here s a sample review expressing your concerns about the dining experience: The worst ramen place ever. Very Very Dirty. First, the gyoza arrived broken, with the filling spilling out. The cutlery and dish provided had noticeable oil stains and felt sticky, which is very disgusting and made the dining experience uncomfortable.

I will come back for the ramen, but please improve your wait times and customer service!! Seems like this place is very short staffed. Customers are left waiting in line at the front of the store without any direction or signage... are we supposed to take a number? give our name? After waiting 20 mins in line for our table, we were surprised to see empty tables?? We waited another 30 minutes for ramen... which is probably the longest I have ever waited for ramen. A note to the owners, Ive visited 3 of your locations: Markham (now closed), Shinjuku and this North York location. The best overall experience was in the Markham branch- yes, in my opinion it was better than Shinjukus!!! Please bring back the Markham location :)

Edit July 2024 Went and expected a quick lunch, waited for it to open at 11:30am, 1st one in and ordered clam shio right away, waitress asked if I wanted egg I said no, asked if I want half and I specially said only if its included from the price as she showed me the pic with the half egg... Took more than 20 min for the bowl of noodles to arrive, I know exactly because I had to add money to the meter... So they definitely wasnt ready to open as they usually dont take that long being the 1st to order and not busy at all.... Bill came and was charged for the half egg... Not happy with the service... Old post when it first opened: 3 weeks later, we are back, still very busy and had to line up... One star is strictly for the wait staff... Waited a long time for a wait staff to acknowledge we are ready, the waitress asked if we are ready to order but walked away... Same waitress walked by and asked again and told me shell get another waitress to help us but walked to serve others instead... Old review from 3 weeks ago: One of the best ramen Ive had so far and Ive had a lot. The clam shio was what I had and the broth is so refreshing, clear and tasty vs the regular ramen soup base. The noodles are slightly different then the common thick/thin ramen... Its on the thick side and does have its own uniqueness... I think its mixed with some wheat base vs 100% flour... The only reason its a 4 star vs 5 is because of the service/wait staff... Dont get me wrong, they are very nice people and well mannered, but you can tell they do not know how to properly arrange seating... Its still a newly open restaurant, will give it some time but overall the clam shio ramen was outstanding.

We came here bc we heard about all the buzz for their ramen. I cant lie, the ramen here when compared to other places was interesting. It didnt taste bad, but it didnt taste the best. The broth was very light and tangy and the meat was kind of plain and relied on the broth to make it flavourful. Everything was fresh though! I dont think id come back here for the ramen. But worth a try if you want to! The best thing here was the Green Tea dessert cake. That was literally the best dessert i ve ever had. I wanted to order another one but I held back!

We had the signature mild and intense clam broth ramen. The soup base and toppings were fine, but the noodle texture was horrendous (I have been here 5-6 times in the past so I know how it is supposed to be). I don t know how long they have cooked the noodles for, but it was extremely chewy and I thought I tasted raw flour. We have requested to recook the noodles, but all they offered was to microwave the entire noodle bowls - didn t really change much even after that. I doubt I will be coming back to this location anytime soon.

Their famous clam broth ramen never disappoints. There are also lunch combos and mini bowls to choose from when you want to get bang for your buck. I ve also tried their lobster ramen before which met my high expectations and was sooo creamy and filling (up to you whether you think the price is worth it). Very disappointed in this place. We had the lobster ramen which is the first page special made SPECIFICALLY for this location, accompanied by sea bream and yellow bell peppers? For $35 getting a whole tail and claws was great. Eefu noodles, and lack of flavor and texture in the noodles / broth had me thinking it was an instant noodle pack with a lobster from the store. The fried king oyster mushrooms were cut into really thin slices, like chips. Nothing resembling for mushrooms at all. Not sure why this place is packed or has the reviews it does.

Disappointed in this place. Was looking forward to trying this place out, but it was not great for me. Food: The vegetarian option I had was pretty bland, to be honest. They had two vegetarian options (an avocado and a potato option), and I ordered the potato one. I asked for some chili oil to give it a bit of flavor, and they brought a very small portion for me to use. We also ordered the fried mushrooms, and they almost tasted like bland, thinly sliced plantain chips. Service: Fine, but could be slow for some. I noticed that a server kept apologizing to another patron who was seated, and Im not sure if its because they were very delayed in getting the patrons food or something else. Atmosphere: I liked the atmosphere well enough. A tall central island has large, sturdy chairs for patrons to sit. You would want to sit next to your party as the distance across the table would make it difficult to hear without being pretty loud. This does mean that you might look up from your food into the eyes of strangers though. The place is attached to the bakery place, and they have a bunch of menus that advertise crossover items. You get a same-day discount at the bakery if you show them the receipt for Konjiki. Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian ramen options. I was not impressed by the potato option I ordered.

This North York Ramen shop is wonderful. Texture and flavours of the ramen there are so good. I was too busy to enjoy the food and forgot to take a picture. The noodle is perfectly cooked. The broth is creamy and delicious. It is a combination of culinary heritage and finesse. Even the egg is cooked just right to achieve a perfect jammy ramen egg. The Matcha (green tea) Ice-cream in Konjiki is certainly a complement to an enjoyable meal. It is as good as the ones I had in Japan. The subtly bitter matcha taste and slightly sweet creamy ice-cream is amazinig. Service is good. Servers have very good manner. They are friendly, welcoming and patient. I had the fried mushroom appetizer and the vegan potato ramen and was disappointed in both dishes unfortunately. The appetizer was very greasy and I could really not taste the mushroom itself. The potato ramen wasn t bad at all but felt very creamy, thick and heavy with got a bit off-putting. I m sure the non vegetarian options are better but I d rather have a simpler good vegan ramen than something overly complex which misses the mark. Previously, there was a restaurant called Aki-something that served both donburi and ramen, but now its the opposite. It has become a restaurant called Konjiki Ramen, where they also serve rice bowls. Konjiki Ramen has become famous for receiving a Michelin star, but personally, I enjoy the rice bowls here. Living in beside city of Toronto, its not often that I get to enjoy such meals dining out. However, one drawback is that the rice isnt particularly delicious. The restaurant has a second-floor walk up style appearance and doesnt look like a typical shop, so its important to be careful looking for it.

They made a mistake with my order. I ordered through skip and the clam broth ramen was missing. Called them and they .told me I can pick it up and they even gave me a free takoyaki however when when I got home the ramen they gave me was shoyu and not the clam. Very disappointed. I was really looking forward to having the clam ramen.

Very authentic Japanese ramen. Dont let the simple menu fool you, the food here was outstanding. The soups were tasty and rich, it was apparent that they were prepared with patience and efforts. The ramen noodles had an excellent texture and consistency, and as a result they had an wonderful mouth-feel. The fried chicken, gyoza, and deep fried mushrooms were all fantastic. Will come back to this place again.

This is a really great ramen spot in North York. Ive had the wagyu ramen twice and Im a fan. The other ramen options are creamy and super tasty. I recommend the fried mushrooms for appetizer. Theyre crispy and flavourful, like chips but garnished with green onion and much more decadent. During my most recent visit, the server asked if I would like a half or whole egg in the ramen. I think this is a new option. If you like eggs, go for a few extra whole eggs. Theyre jammy and well marinated. I also recommend going for the super sized ramen so you can have next day leftovers.

(edited) the owner reached out to us to confirm the incident, and after verifying the time and date of the incident, apologized to us, and offered us two free bowls of noodles. As we ve been going to Konjiki for awhile and we never had problems with the flavours of their noodles, we will continue to visit Konjiki. Thanks to the owner for a prompt followup! (original) Utterly terrible service. Our bowls of noodles sat on the counter for well over 5 minutes while the server (an older man who seemed like a manager and he was the only server handling the dining area) prioritized in cleaning tables and getting the bills done for two tables. We saw him look at and walk past our bowls multiple times. My wife and I was looking at the bowls saying they better not be ours, but unfortunately they were. When he brought the noodles to us, I said they were on the counter for too long but would accept them. He did not say a word and left. Ours noodles, as expected, were starchy and soft as they were sitting in the soup for a long time. Zero follow up from him. When he sprayed the table next to us to clean, some of its content got on my wifes arm. She swept it and he saw her doing that too, but again didnt acknowledge it or apologize and walked away. Never ever did this before but did not tip as our experience was table and the noodles were bad. What a shame, as flavor was there.

Food: 4.5 Stars Service: 4 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 4.375 Stars Did I mention ramen is my favourite food? I live for ramen. It s such a delicious, affordable savoury flavourful succulent comforting bowl of goodness! I don t think that s enough adjectives to describe how much I love ramen I love my noodles done al dente, and this place has nailed it! The noodles have the perfect firm, chewy texture or, as my fellow Asians would call it, QQ texture. Every bite grabs on to that delicious tonkatsu broth that warms my heart. I always love to order two eggs in my ramen as I love that yummy flavour of their eggs My go-to order is the Original Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (15.50 CAD). The staff is always very friendly and provides good service! With elevated seating, the chairs are comfortable, and the dine-in experience is very cozy, especially with their delicious bowl of goodness. One of my favourite ramen houses in Toronto kellychan360

Decent ramen and complex flavours. But service at this location is very poor. And also is very cramped seating. There were not enough waitstaff for the restaurant for a Saturday night, only two. Also due to the high table in centre of the restaurant packed w guests, it is difficult to see and wave the waitstaff to order, get utensils, get bill. We were a table of two, and ordered two clam shio ramens, a gentleman took our order. He didn t seem to understand english too well, and also didn t clarify or repeat the order to us. After a short wait one bowl arrived and we waited another 10 minutes but the other did not arrive. It was already difficult to get their attention, but finally we had to order another one because it was forgotten/missed. I m not sure why he did not clarify the order or remember it as we only ordered two things as a party of two. The price for the ramen is already quite expensive compared to competitors. So the service shouldn t be this poor. No water refilled, no other communication/greetings, no apologies about order missed. We decided to try out this location after multiple great visits to our favourite location in Richmond Hill (that closed down permanently) but this was quite a let down.

I usually come here for the lobster ramen, but for some reason, I just didnt find it to be anything special anymore. Paid $32, plus an extra $2 for chill sauce, which is quite absurd, imo especially since it wasnt spicy at all. Also, I added pork belly for another $4.5, which was basically just fat. I also brought some dessert, which was ok but expensive. The atmosphere is nice, the service was just ok. Came in. There was only 1 server, and the restaurant wasnt busy. The server, I guess, was a bit busy. I wasnt knowledged for several minutes. Sat myself down to the long and empty bar table. The food just seems overpriced for what you get. Will I come back? Sure, its better than most ramen joints. Will I come back as frequent not so much. Idk, the food quality seems to have changed. Maybe its the portion size as it just doesnt seem to be the same.

One of the better ramen joints in Toronto. Between the clam broth and tonkotsu, I would pick the clam if I were to return, since I think a few places such as Sansotei does a better tonkotsu ramen. The topping choices also leave a lot to be desired - the pork is lean and reminds me of thanksgiving ham, the pickled mustard greens clash with the balanced broth, and normally it comes with a pile of red pickled ginger (I asked for none this time) which completely changes the flavour of the bowl so I feel like it should not be a default topping but perhaps a condiment on the side. That being said, I really liked the smoothness and richness of the tonkotsu, and the firm and chewy whole wheat noodles were perfect. (Original shoyu tonkotsu - 7/10) Now the clam broth is at least something that s unique to Konjiki. It s quite delicate but exactly what you d want in a clam-based broth, but might not be for those who crave that rich tonkotsu flavour when going out for ramen. (Signature clam mild shio - 8.5/10) Some other things I noticed - usually ramen places will have extra noodles as an add on, but this place does not. You only get the option of supersizing your bowl for $21 (more than extra noodles would cost). Marinated egg is extra for $2, but is my favourite topping. The wagyu ramen has never been available in the 3 times I went for dinner, so go early if you want to try that. Appetizers are pretty standard, can t go wrong with a freshly fried karaage. On a regular weekday at 7pm, the wait isn t bad, around 15-20 minutes.

We read the magazine Torja, Toronto and Japan August 2023, and came here for the Yuzu Ebi Shio Raman. However, they didn t have the Yuzu Ebi Shio Raman. The stuff said they don t know about this Raman at all. Apparently, there is a gap between magazine and real store menu. We drove for 40mins to get here, so we decide to order some other Raman . My wife and I ordered a Shio Raman and a Unagi Set. In the unagi lunch set, it said your choice of daily cake/dessert. I thought waitress would ask us for what we would like for dessert, but they didn t. Instead, they bring us the dessert without ask any question. When we ask them about what choice do we have, the waitress shows confused. It looks like that she has never been taught that customer can choice dessert. Waitress still provide us the choice, but I can t forget how confused her face was. Therefore, this service quality isn t stuff s problem. It is lack of education from the management. Management also failed to make sure their special menu in magazines is available in store menu. I still wish that I will be able to try this Shio Yuzu Ebi Raman in future.

Fresh, chewy noodles with sous-vide pork chashu, roasted garlic oil, smoked cherry tomatos, smoked ground pork, braised bamboo shoot, spring onion, and leek all swimming in pork bone broth. The dish is smoky, hearty, and never fails to satisfy me. To top it off, you can add a soft-boiled egg for a bit extra, which I always recommend. Service can be slow sometimes but its always worth the wait. P.S., the place is always full, so keep that in mind before you come. Not sure if they take reservations. We ordered the most expensive dish Wagyu Ramen and we exited to get the joyful experience. But for the price 38$ they could be at least more creative. The broth was extremely greasy and plane. Through the fat you can t really feel any flavour. Meat, plenty of noodles and onions that all you will get in your plate. Serving wagyu beef I believe chief may use little bit more creativity. I am happy that we got this dish with the promotion code otherwise it would be a waste of money and expectations. When word first started circulation that Japan s prized Michelin star Ramen establishment was opening up in Toronto, I could not wait to try it, and it did not disappoint. The main star of the show is curated from local produce, bar the noodles, which Mr. Atsushi Yamamoto himself had imported the noodle making machine over from Japan to ensure the same standard of excellence. Placing both hands on either side of the ramen bowl, the feeling is warming, but just a little too hot to keep holding on comfortably (meaning just the right temperature). Dipping the spoon in to explore, there are 5+ sections of the clamshell broth that are completely diverse in taste. Some consisting of shallots, others the spring onions, some with a more meaty taste of the finely cut chashu, and others of the marinated richness of the broth alone. The noodles are unique, almost square cut (not rounded), cooked Al dente, and have just the right springy texture and surface area to encapsulate the surrounding ingredients with a few slurps. Konjiki is not to be mistaken for the morish-ness, of some of the neighbouring establishments, where the MSG carry the dish. Konjiki is truly a culinary experience, that will appeal to the more experienced palette without the need for additives. There are a few customer favourite dishes, for those who d rather stick to either Vegetarian (like kaiso salad), or chicken based (such as Karage). The location can be packed, but in most cases the turnover runs like clockwork so expect to be seated within 30mins to an hours wait time, unless it s peak times, in which case make reservations. Absolutely worth a trip specific detour, and trying at least once.

This was my favourite ramen in 2017-2020. The clam broth is one of my favourites. It still is! It s with huge regret, my biggest disappointment was today. As soon as I sat down at lunch, the server asked me if I was ready to order. I needed a few mins to decide. She forgot about the wobbly table that I was sat at and I had to remind her. I asked for fork and bowl for my kid, and she came back with chopsticks. I had to remind her. With the same server, I noticed she was in the washroom and didn t wash her hands after she left. The vinyl seats also need a good repair. Today s one was letdown. She was the tall, skinny one with the glasses. She was quite unkempt. The food and broth is always good. What would help is some new innovation to the menu. The restaurant was packed when it first opened. It s gone gradually downhill since. I am so gutted. Where is Tony? He was so good and listened to feedback. He paid attention to the smallest of details along with most of his staff. Whoever was there was today was just a hot mess.

Honestly really disappointed. I had a bad experience with Konjiki at Yorkdale mall, but i brushed it off because I thought to myself mall food isn t that good anyway. Which takes me to this review. I was near the area and decided to give Konjiki another chance honestly to be disappointed in the end. There is just no flavour in the broth and the noodles are not even good either. It was bland and tasted like flour. I also ordered karage because I like to compare appetizers at different ramen spots, and this one was honestly the worst one yet. It was not crispy at all, was oily, and on top of that it wasn t even cooked through properly. I bit into it, it wasn t hot at all and I saw pink. I m only giving this place two stars because the server took the karage off my bill. Otherwise I think the Konjiki brand needs to try their own menu and fix it.

I was genuinely disappointed by the food quality, the pork char siu was dry and COLD, the egg was fully cooked (rather than a traditional soft boiled egg). The noodles and the broth are alright. But I was genuinely surprised by the mediocre pork and egg. The staff were very polite and friendly.

Excellent service and food - specially their signature Clam Intense Shoyu Ramen. Will definitely go again.

It was my first time eating ramen since coming to Toronto. I ordered Spicy red and the soup was very delicious with just the right amount of spices. The seasoned eggs were delicious too so I added them :) Food

I visited this restaurant at noon on December 17th. Let me talk about the food first. I ordered the pork chop rice set with smooth egg. The pork chop itself is delicious, with thin and crispy skin, but the smooth egg underneath is really not good. I know if the chef forgot to add the flavor, and I can t taste the flavor of the sauce of the pork cutlet rice at all. I hope this can be improved. 4.5/10. Regarding the soup part, after observation, it seems that it is not freshly cooked, but is brewed with dry powder and hot water, and it is not stirred evenly after brewing, so the soup above has no taste when drinking it. But when it goes down it becomes very salty 2/10. Then about the cake, the taste of the cake is not bad, but it has a pinky taste, which makes people feel weird. 7/10. To sum up the above points, the chance of me returning for a return visit should be low, because the meals are not cheap either. The price of this set meal is 20.5 Canadian dollars before tax and 23.16 Canadian dollars after tax!
