Lovely brunch with my girl And it was amazing. The great service started from the entrance, lovely greetings straight to our table, server came and was great 10/10. Food was so delicious, my girl got the pasta dish 10/10 with the savoury flavours My brunch was so delicious, got the protein omelette 10/10 You can never go wrong with sweet potato fries 10/10 All together 10/10, and thank you for the awesome service, and food 🥰🔥
I've been wanting to try Cafe Landwer for many years, and although i have yet to try their brunch, I enjoyed their dinner options. I got the rose ravioli with schnitzel add-on, and in my opinion the food was slightly bland, but it was extremely filling and I cleaned the plate. Aesthetically, every dish that came out looked delicious as well. Some dishes seemed to have more value than others, such as the pasta over the shawarma which was really small. We also got the wine & dine for 4 with the cheese board, but the table sign advertising the wine & dine didn't mention the cheese board would also contain nuts/walnuts, which I'm allergic to, so unfortunately I wasn't able to partake in the cheese board, except for one slice of cheese that was isolated and a mozzarella stick (which was actually delicious bc it's cheese). I heard the fries with the burger were really good, but the burger tasted store bought/old. The Margherita pizza for some reason doesn't come with basil, which is what makes it Margherita I think? Our server came back after our concern and laid out one (1) basil leaf on the pizza, which was really cute, but it was still strange to me that they would offer "Margherita pizza" on the menu but it's literally just cheese pizza. Overall my group and I had above average food, with hit or misses across the table, maybe bc their menu is too extensive and offering like 3-4 different cuisines. This resto is a great place to hang with friends tho, and I definitely want to come back for brunch, but I feel like they should try to tailor their dinner menu more instead of trying to offer everything, and then maybe they wouldn't have to serve cheese pizza as Margherita pizza
My cousin & I were in the area and this place caught our eye and we thought it was just a cafe. Turns out they had so many delicious food options!! I absolutely LOVEEEE the Angel hair rosé. I am typically not a person who can eat a lot and the portion was pretty big and I ate it UP. I loved it so much, I would most definitely put this location high up my list.
This cafe landwer is an absolute delight! I tried their shakshuka, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had—the eggs were perfectly poached, and the tomato sauce was rich, flavorful, and spiced just right, with a great balance of warmth and a hint of heat. The fresh herbs and warm pita on the side made it even better. Their coffee is equally outstanding, with a strong, smooth flavor that pairs perfectly with the meal. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy authentic flavors. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall fantastic experience. Whether you’re here for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee break, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!
Love this cafe near our office. Their egg Benedicts come with 2 benedicts and a lot of fried potatoes. It’s enough for 2 persons. I also ordered the Americano and chocolate pastry. All were delicious
We tried Croissant Benedict, Landwer’s famous Breakfast with smokey brisket omelette in addition we had Berlin 1919 & House blend teas which was perfect for the weather, and nothing disappointed us. Loved the food, service and atmosphere here.. Definitely coming back to try other stuff.
k live in the North York area and was looking for a Mediterranean style restaurant with a western twist. Cafe Landwer was in my list for such a long time and I decided to take family to eat there. Food was okay, not the greatest. My family and I were pretty disappointed with the amount of food, quality and prices. Very expensive for what it is. The place is pretty and neat, service is good. But the food was okay. So overhyped for what it is. Unfortunately, would not go again and would not recommend.
This is one of my family's go-to brunch spots for its consistent quality. It's quite busy on weekends, but you can usually get a table within 15min. It's also a little pricey but the food is good. My typical order is the protein-packed omelette with potatoes and challah bread. The omelette is large and delicious, with a nice consistent texture. The challah bread is very soft and good on its own. The potatoes don't have much flavour and are sometimes cut a little too large, but they're good with ketchup and have a crispy skin and pleasant texture. Good service and a nice ambience makes this an all around great experience!
Great and cozy for have a business meeting
The quality and service of this Cafe has changed a lot. I ve order a lentil soup and it tasted so watery! Only %20 of the soup was made by ingredients, the rest was water!
Food is great with shareable servings. We always order their Mediterranean salad, Shakshuka, and truffle mushroom pasta with their waffle as dessert. We have tried their regular burger and it s good as well. The coffee, milkshake and hot chocolate are something you may wanna try. So far, all that we have ordered have satisfied our palates, hence, us keep coming back. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The parking may be a bit of a concern but not a biggie. The place is clean and very calming. We would continue visiting here for sure and have recommended it to family and friends.
Just like your average cafe. Not a lot of good cafes on this street so this turns out to be the only option where you can go to. Food was average we ordered a mushroom pizza which was not really great. I like the truffle fries and the coffee is how it should be at any other cafe all in all a good place to sit with your friend and hang out.
It was quick dinner for us but we enjoyed both dishes! Server was so friendly and attentive. I especially liked my truffle mushroom pappardelle, which had rich cream and flavorful of truffle. Pappardelle was cooked perfect al dente. -Sinia Shakshuka: Beef kebabs, roasted egg plants, two eggs + Challah bread $22.95 -Truffle mushroom & cream pappardelle $24.95 There are a variety of people, some drinking wine alone, others with families or groups having a lively meal. Feels like a European-style stylish family restaurant. Not only the popular Shakshuka and Challah (twisted bread), but also the truffle cream pasta was delicious!
I ve visited a few times, and food & service has always been great! The drinks are just okay.
Perfect spot to visit before a concert. Very nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food not a 10/10 but doable.
Ok and expensive
Unique atmosphere Unique food Unique experience Dont be shy to try their shashukas Best breakfast area in north york by farrrr
Love cafe landwer but this location does last calls over 30 mins before closing time! Better close at 9p instead It s very disappointing as it s not busy for them to do last calls so early every night.
London fog and croissant recommend
Delicious pizza margherita, sweet potato fries, latte, cappuccino. Great vibes, servers & priced appropriately too. Landwer has always been one of my go to places. Visited this location first time but quite liked. Thankfully wasn t as bright as the one on university intersection in downtown. Washrooms: clean.
Amazing place for brunch! The food is delicious and the servers are very attentive!
the food is good, fresh, tasty. the place has good vibes and the atmosphere is very positive. the servers are attentive and professional. i would recommend at least trying this place once.
The most important thing for me in this cafe was its coziness. Despite the significant number of people inside, it was pretty quiet. The table we sat in was next to the kitchen and surprisingly the kitchen was quite quiet, letting us enjoy our time together and listening to each other! It is advisable to display the restaurant code on the parking ticket machine located in the parking lot near the restaurant for its customers.
Great brunch spot. Very accessible location for all my friends around Toronto.
The aesthetic and vibe of this cafe is great, and the menu is impressive and extensive something for everyone! However, the food was disappointing. The chicken shawarma did not taste like chicken shawarma. It didn t taste bad, but it definitely did not taste like chicken shawarma. The waffle was the most disappointing. Instead of a light and fluffy waffle, I got served a flat and hard waffle almost like they cranked up the heat on the waffle maker to cook it faster. I would not recommend either of those dishes. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are flagged on the menu Parking: Parking garage is free if you use their coupon code (available upon entry to the restaurant).
Inexperienced waitresses, average tasted room temperature main dishes - coffee and desserts are their alfa and omega
Food was overall good, large portions and well cooked. The servers were great and accommodating of a large group on short notice. The food took a little longer than anticipated to come out and it took a while to get the bill given how busy they were.
Be careful with the place as they close early if it s quiet. Twice I tried to make my way down after several recommendations and they rejected me saying they closed early because it was not busy. So disappointed.
Truffle mushroom pasta was clumping together. Lacking sauce coverage due to sticking together.
It tastes the same, its dirty...
Mid food, but nice decor
Alright, folks, lets talk about my experience of cafe Landwer last week. This place is a brunch wonderland! The iced latte was so cold and refreshing, it practically woke me up from a food coma. The farmers breakfast was a hearty feast fit for a lumberjack, and the berry bliss French toast? It was like a cloud of sweet, berry goodness. We also tried the Sinia shakshuka, which was pretty good, but it needed a little oomph. Maybe a sprinkle of green chili pepper or something? Just a thought. And oh, the sabich! We were so stuffed, but we couldnt resist. It was worth every calorie. We even grabbed some Jerusalem buns to go, because why not? We might as well have a food festival at home. But the real heroes of this story are the staff. Not only do they serve up amazing food, but theyre also detectives! One guest left their phone behind, and the staff tracked them down like a hawk. Talk about service! So, if youre looking for a brunch spot thats not only delicious but also has a side of heartwarming hospitality, Landwer is the place to be. Just make sure you come hungry, and maybe bring a backpack for all the food youll want to take home. Oh and I learned this today Lebriut, leohel tov, ulechaverim niflaim (good health, a good food, and good friends)
Very nice place. I ordered the Turkish coffee
Amazing atmosphere. Loved the omelette
Parking: Evenings and weekends guests are offered free parking in their lot. Food
Amazing food and great coffee. Outside area where you can eat and enjoy the view of the city. Food
Amazing food and vibe, also Thomas who took care of our table had great recommendations, overall we had a great time!!!!
Cafe Landwer with Thomas Server are amazing! He is very professional, friendly and timer with service. He is wonderful for Cafe Landwer. I hope to see him always. Thanks Thomas!
I gave one extra star because the food was amazing but their customer service is very disappointing. The server and manager there gave us the wrong bill three times (wasnt busy at that time) and it took us a month to get our refund back. Everyone said different things regards to the refund issue and made me to go back to the restaurant two times (I had to travel for two hours..). Hope they communicate better with each other and work on problem solving,, Their food is amazing as always tho.
I can say I expected more for their Turkish coffee. I ordered and I have to say it was not really a Turkish coffee. Overall I expected more and the atmosphere was the best thing that I find in this restaurant. I hope next time order some other items and get a better quality We came here again for breakfast and ordered the Halloumi Shakshuka and a Matcha Latte. It was okay this time.
Very delicious food and value for money.
First time here and it was so good. Service was great. Definitely a different chicken Sharma than Im used to but it was so flavorful. Would definitely be back.
Overall, great experience. I come here especially for the food and have been for quite some time. My sisters and I often do brunch here as well. However, the last time I went in their glass cups had this egg smell like they werent eashed properly. Or perhaps washed with dishes that had egg in them. It eas extremely displeasing.
So rude, they ask us leave because it was a rush hour !!!! But we ordered 2 times, do not come here on weekend ! No respect !
Everything was really yummy. Just my eggs tasted a little bit off. My latte was amazing!
Had a great time with friends , economical and friendly staff
Eggs have a weird taste and extremely overpriced for the dishes given.
To the service staff at this establishment, a special thank you! This is the second time Ive been here, and every time its delicious and the service is very good. Food : 5/5
My partner and I visited this restaurant a few days ago and then both of us got Gastroenteritis. We had to visit the pharmacy to get medication instantly We suspect that the food was not hygienic enough we ordered two pasta. The bolognese was a bit too sour for me but the pesto pasta was good. Good service. Not many spaces between tables tho.
Overall, the food is great! The atmosphere is very comfortable so all ages people can go there to enjoy their food, drinks and service :) Food
Food tasted alright. Nothing special; didn t really excite me as much as it looks. It tasted okay. Pretty pricy for what I got. Service and atmosphere were okay.
Everything was amazing
Last time I went there the water or the glass had a rare smell
Excellent services! The manager, JJ, is exceptionally amazing and friendly. Parking: Its a little tricky to find the parking, but its at the back of the building (turn left twice) and youll see a hidden garage door. Food : 5/5 |
I have been here numerous times (great location). and am going for brunch this weekend. Always a great experience.
Their angel hair rosé pasta is so heavenly. I will be back for this and to try their brunch menu P.S. I came back for brunch and it ddnt disappoint. LOVE this place!
Must try their house tea.
I go out of my way for this cafe. The location at 5000 Yonge st has the most incredible staff. The manager Tara is so awesome and she has the team on point. I wish I lived closer so that I could go here everyday. Thank you for the outstanding service. Oh ya, the food was delicious too. * IHodlLife Approved Business
The drinks were not super sweet and tasted quite refreshing. Protein-packed omelette was paired with a side of potatoes and focaccia bread. Falafel Plate came with pita, side of salad and hummus - the falafel balls were crispy and delish. Halloumi Shakshuka with fries and pillowy soft challah bread - the sauce can get a bit overpowering but the halloumi cheese is chewy and flavourful. Vegetarian options: Limited
I normally write reviews a few weeks after but I am making an exception to this establishment. My close friends and I had our dinner here today. When we came in, the atmosphere was warm and even more inviting when the staff greeted us. We felt welcomed immediately. It was packed but they had a few tables available and we did not have to wait at all. JJ asked us if we wanted to transfer to the larger round table with a bigger couch and we said yes. JJ, Joy and the other woman who served us were all amazing and wonderful! The job can get exhausting but they seemed to be enjoying what they do! The service was top notch from beginning to end. JJ even went an extra mile and offered us desserts and told him that we were there to celebrate a friends birthday. The food were all presented well! My friend and I who ordered shakshuka expected more but it was good. My friend who was celebrating her birthday enjoyed her truffle pasta and even said that it is better than the truffle pasta at the other restaurants she tried. My friend who ordered a salad pointed out that the mushroom was delicious and cooked perfectly. Overall, we enjoyed our experience as the ambience and service enhanced our dining experience. It makes you want to slow down, relax and have a genuine connection with the people you are eating with, and enjoy a pleasantly prepared meal. If you are going alone, it encourages mindful eating even in the midst of a busy time. Again, thank you so much for your exemplary service! Parking: Considering the location, it is busy and difficult to find parking even street parking especially during rush hour. However, once inside, you will see a note that they offer free parking as long as you get a proof from the cafe that you will be dining in or after you dine in.
I like the mint lemonade! Overall ok
Delicious hummus and the bread that came with it blew my mind
Ive frequented Cafe Landwer for brunch and dinner multiple times, and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The food and service never disappoint. However, the recent change to the halloumi zaatar sandwich wasnt as satisfying as the previous version. Despite this, I continue to appreciate the overall quality of Cafe Landwer.
The food is very good and our server Sarina was very nice :)
I recently visited Cafe Landwer and was thoroughly impressed by my experience! The ambiance of the café is warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of decor and cozy touches that make it an ideal spot for both casual hangouts and special gatherings. The soft lighting and comfortable seating create a relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to linger a little longer over your coffee. The pastries at Cafe Landwer are truly exceptional. Each bite is a delightful journey. It s clear that the team takes pride in their offerings, and it shows in the quality of every item on the menu. The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that all our needs were met without being intrusive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, which made the experience even better. Overall, Cafe Landwer is a gem that deserves a visit. Whether you re stopping by for a quick coffee or settling in for a leisurely brunch, you won t be disappointed. I can t wait to return and try more of their delicious pastries!
I always come there for my meeting, I recomome to try Chai Oat Latte in their new falls menu, Also Sarina is really kind and has good suggestion about the menu. Food : 5/5
Thank you for your kind service!
Everything was okok.
I recently visited Café Landwer for breakfast and had a great experience. I tried the Shakshuka with whole wheat bread and the croissant benedict, paired with a cappuccino and black brewed coffee. The flavors were spot on, and both dishes were tasty. From the pastry section, I sampled the almond croissant, pecan bread, and chocolate croissant each one was flavorful. The ambience of the café is also quite inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax, enjoy, chat or work. Overall, a place worth visiting for both the food and the vibe!
For my birthday my mother and I enjoyed a Falafel platter and eggplant dish. Weve been customers at various locations since it opened. All out Waiters at Yonge and Sheppard, a Christian and others, were perfect. Non intrusive yet happy to serve. So well keep coming back and spending the green. Thanks for good quality food and I hope you maintain that service which patrons want to be treated like royalty. Well your waiters deserve commendations and a good year. The food was incredibly fresh and had a homemade feel! I loved the atmosphere and the quality. The portions were large, enough for two.
So not Order Uber Eat from this place. The order was cancelled on Uber 1 minute after placing an order yesterday at 5:45PM and reordered 10minutes later.. This restaurant charged us twice, including the cancelled order and refuses to give us a refund for the cancelled order when we contacted Uber Eat. Please call us back to settle this problem/provide us the refund. We have dined here multiple times in the past and could not believe this happened.
Our waiter Christian was fantastic! He helped us a lot, he was kind and professional. Great experience at Landwer. Food
Best Schnitzel in town
Came by for a quick brunch stop. Saturday of thanksgiving weekend, so, understandably a bit busy. No stress! Got a table fairly quickly, immediately greeted by a manger who was very nice. When the server came by I asked about the silky frost latte - she just replied it s too sweet, I wouldn t recommend it - fair! We just believed she was being frank which is appreciated. We got two other coffees and two pastries to start, both arrived very quick and were quite nice! However the rest of the experience was pretty mid. My partner got the protein omelette which he said was fine, albeit bland. I got the breakfast sandwich with the beef sausage add on as it didn t come with any meat. I was a bit surprised, as it came on a burger bun (just a bit odd, no issue otherwise) and the scrambled eggs were obviously just a plain omelette (also, fine, eggs are eggs). Also incredibly bland. However you get 2 breakfast sausages, the itty bitty ones, for $5. I feel like 4 is the standard for the price? Eitherway, nothing distinctly wrong, just incredibly lack lustre. My partner and I both work in the service industry, we are fairly understanding of service quality / how busy the server is. That being said, by the end of our stay we had decided our sever was just pretty over her shift, rather than being too busy. She took our order, had the blunt comment about the coffee, checked on how the food was as soon as it hit the table and didn t come back till she cleared the plates and we asked for the bill. By the time we were passing the machine back she was already walking away and saying bye over her shoulder. Overall just a really OK experience. We d come back for a coffee and some pastries at best.
Aida was courteous, helpful and very friendly! Thank you!!!
The breakfast sandwich with smoked salmon is fantastic. Great service, Aida was fantastic!
Aida was great. So friendly and polite. Her service was great!! Food was awesome. Totally recommended!
Food was amazing! Ada was an amazing server and always checked in! Loved the service
Food is always great! Great service by Aida!!
Great food, great service by Aida. Everything was fantastic as always!!
great food, our waitress Aida was amazing too
Food is delicious. BEST BRUNCH EXPERIENCE IN TORONTO!!! Would definitely good again. Shashuka is to die for. Vegetarian options: Have tons of vegan options Dietary restrictions: Accomodates for everyone
I liked the dishes, nice atmosphere. Theres only one womens bathroom, there could be at least three. Vegetarian options: mushroom pizza Parking: Its under the building, I found it confusing Ticket issue, it is not possible to know if it is paid or not.
Great service, friendly staff and flavourful food.
Manager was very rude did not switch my un drank coffee for a different flavour as i didn t like the nutella one. tried to make me pay another $12 for it. gave us dirty looks the second we walked in and was gossiping. not to mention my sister went to the washroom and seen faeces all over the toilet. i wouldn t bother going anywhere near this place: disappointed is an understatement. chao
Had a great experience and the pumpkin cruffin was amazing, must try!
Lover the variety of food that this cafe offer, in addition to the the great atmosphere it has. I love the halloumi shakshuka and the hummus that they have Food
Love the food and ambiance but remember to check line items before making payment. Two times we found out that items, which we did not order, were added to the bill.
We ordered kunefe and chocolate-halva cake with sahlep. I recommend.
Great food, and amazing staff and service! Love this place. Highly recommended!
Farmers breakfast was pretty good! The bread was chewy and soft. Works well with two different sauces that come with.
Cute cafe in city with lots of food options.
Friendly staff, unique food which was excellent and such a upbeat vibe.
My grandma and I had a cappuccino. We enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and staff were superrrrr friendly. It s a good place to relax and enjoy.
Portions are too small for even a younger woman, so I can t image how they are for a grown man. And the taste of the food is just OK.
Coffee and desserts were the best. I would definitely go there again just for coffee. I wouldnt recommend the food here as it was very bland. Pizza, pasta, chicken kebab all were very bland. Customer service was great. Overall I liked it.
We asked for the cheeseburger and swap the patties from chicken to their vegetarian patty. After explaining multiple times, the lady said she needs to ask the manager and the manager said we unfortunately dont do that. Very weird that they dont swap the patties and the service was also very slow.
Friendly and fast to get your food
Best latte in North York! I tried the brunch menu, which was pretty decent. I didnt need a reservation, but even around 12 pm, it was still quite crowded. What I ordered: - Iced americano - Vanila Latte + lactose Free - French Toast - i forgot Parking: Pay Parking on Yonge St or Side Street Park
I had an Unreal time at this location. The food was incredible and my service made my experience even better. Our servers name was Nika and she was so nice and super helpful. I got the shakshuka and the flavor was amazing! My favorite location because of our server and food!
I really enjoyed the experience and our server Ilsu was very nice. Excellent service by Ilsu. She was very sweet and attentive. Food : 5/5
I told the waitress please remove ice for my drink and she said no problem but I still ended up getting a latte with full ice in it. Not a big deal but just hope they can do what they promised
Their breakfasts were well portioned and taste great.
Clean and organize good quality and tasty food
Enjy was just a really pleasant server and very polite. With the service I received today, I d definitely recommend this location. The food is good!.
The place is good, the food is delicious, the service was a little delayed, but the main issue is that the cafe could open only the main entrance and close the other doors, because it was windy and of course it makes it a little uncomfortable for the people seated near the other entrances. In general terms its an excellent place, they just need to improve little things
We were served by Firdus , he is such a patient and kind server , very polite and helpful, very attentive
Why have a storefront that looks like you can order coffee and baked goods to go and not be equipped or prepared for that type of transaction? Especially when in such a busy area thats within walking distance to a beautiful park and museum. Went in with close friends for a quick coffee to go... For two slightly stale croissants and two lukewarm coffees in the smallest cups totaling for $20... Youre better off going ANYWHERE else. One of the servers also got annoyed when we asked for creamer. He loudly sighed, pointed and told my friend, Well, the self server station is over there! Their self server station was hidden behind the hostess waiting desk and ONLY had sugar. When we were asking for creamer. Which was behind the counter on the baristas side... Unbelievable. Change the layout of your storefront or train your servers to better handle a PAYING customer at the front. We seriously wish we could get our money back and wish we didnt step into that establishment.
polite staff, would definitely comeback.
One of the best
Great place for lunch. It gets busy very quickly, so the line up is quite long. However, we arrived right before noon and only had to wait less than 5 mins on a Sunday. The matcha latte and croissant benedict were both tasty. Prices are on the high end, but they provide verified underground parking! Will definitely visit again.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend it.
Kimia waiter is best good person with best waiter
This place does spices like no other.I loved it ! Our waitress, Kimia, was so kind and accommodating with our big group of friends. Food
That was so good! Kimia served us so well!
We came here asking for a table for a party of 12 and we were perfectly accomodated by Kimia. She was very friendly and welcoming, giving us the chance to have a blast here. Will surely return
Kimia is served us very well
We had such a great time with our friends. Food was great. The service was even better. Cheers to our server Kimia.
Lovely snack shop that s have multiple locations throughout the city and it satisfy my cravings for some sweets every time
Tasteless. Not actual middle eastern food. Not a single spice in there.
They allow people to get in and out of a door in the middle of the restaurant with cold wind, I had to eat with my coat on, it was 11°C and windy The servers could not remember who ordered what. The food was ok.
Very good restaurant. Loved the eggplant sabich and pita that comes with it. This is a cute restaurant that seems good for any meal breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you like breakfast for dinner you can still get the shakshuka. Many different desserts to choose from ranging from pastries to ice cream.
The lunch was amazing at this location. I really enjoyed the omelette and the servers/managers were incredibly accommodating to my needs. 10/10 recommendation.
We had a lovely dinner tonight on the patio. We ve never been here but our server Sarah was very polite and gave us great food and drink recommendations. Will definitely come back soon! Amazing service!
I was disappointed with both the food and the customer service. The croissants is good but all others are lacked flavour. On top of that, the service was unresponsive and slow, which made the experience even more frustrating, e.g. water cup was left for most of the time / strangely asked what we still need which sounds like rushing us to leave
It s too bad this is located on such a busy street, Yonge & Shep seems like a freeway. Super friendly staff and super tasty food!! Food
Really great place! The food was good too! Dietary restrictions: A lot of choices to choose from! It depends what your looking for. Food : 5/5 |
It wasnt good. The egg smelled disgusting. I couldnt eat.
We savoured a delicious and satisfying lunch, carefully prepared with just the right amount of food for one person. It was a delightful experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. We had kids pasta, eggplant sabitch, and chicken kabab.
Great atmosphere and the service was ok!However, the portion sizes were a bit smaller than expected for the price. Overall, a nice spot if youre looking for a cozy vibe. The truffle mushroom pizza is always one of our choice.
The food was okay. Nothing special and definitely food you can elsewhere for less. The service was also only okay. She clearly didn t care to be there. The space itself is nice, but the atmosphere doesn t make up for the rest. Dude s Food Score: 3 stars
We have been going to other Cafe Landwer locations since it is my wifes favorite restaurant. We decided to go to this location for the first time and we are truly disappointed with our experience. When we first arrived at the restaurant, the hostess seated the group that arrived after us. I asked why we werent seated first and the hostess said she didnt see us, although we were a group of three practically blocking the entire entrance area. Our server didnt know how to place our food onto our table safely. She handed over the tray of food at an angle, almost slid the entire hot skillset into my wifes lap, luckily after some wobbling it was only the plate of sauce that landed all over my wife. She could have suffered serious burns had the hot skillet landed in her lap. That is NOT the right way to serve food. When she served the Turkish coffee, she did so while balancing another plate of hot drinks which easily could have been placed down first. The hot coffee, poured on her backhand, was again at risk of spilling. The manager saw both incidents and she did nothing about it. She didnt check in with us nor did she apologize.
I had a great time, service and food are good here.
Victoria was an great server! She had amazing attention to detail to all my needs and requests and even made sure my beer is up to my standard and temperature! Credits to Vic!
My favorite spot to grab any type of food activity! Love their teas, coffee (Turkish is my passion!) and cocktails For the food - gosh, that s a gourmet guilty pleasure for all the food cravers of Toronto! Definitely come here and try everything! PS: you d be lucky if the waiter Victoria will be your host - she helped me to have my food journey here
Vibe and service is great but the place is overhyped. Food portions aren t as big as people vouch and while presentation is great the taste ain t so. Glad to have tried it but don t think it s worth to come back. Vegetarian options: There appears to be some vegetarian friendly options on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Narrow doors passage entrance to reception. Would be difficult to navigate with wheelchair.
Many thanks to manager Joy for warm welcoming and good services
Very good chicken schnitzel and signature Ice team.
Amazing service complimented with fantastic quality of food. came in for a fast dinner but staid on a bottomles Supreme tast coffee didnt want to live untel 12 pm closing time. my wife and me cant wait to go back! Wheelchair accessibility: Helping kind team helping with wheelchair entrance.
The service was not good. The server did not remember our order and did not own up to the mistake. She was rude and didn t let us know the new order she missed changed due a dietary restriction
Had the pleasure of being service by Jordan last night and she provided excellent service friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, making our experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Great Brunch Spot! Varied menu with lots of vegetarian options as well.
really loved this place
A small cafe on the main street of Toronto (there is outdoor seating). The interior, like everywhere else in Canada, is no different; no one really bothers with it at all. We ordered pizza, a fancy green salad with sour sauce and goat cheese and sandwiches. Nice staff and very fast service. The food was delicious. Don t pass by, everything is expensive in Toronto and tipping is mandatory but you will like it here. A few days later they came back for breakfast. Very tasty, recommended
The atmosphere was really friendly specially with the warm & attentive behaviour of Jordan who is really sweet
I went to Cafe Landwer after reading a lot great reviews about it, but I was disappointed with the food. The food was alright, nothing exceptional, nothing too bad. The service and atmosphere were pretty good.
Very nice place and good food egg with salmon and Mediterranean shakshuka are delicious . Just the nutella rolls are not as expected!! Need big improvement
I visited this spot en route to the airport and was waiting outside but they let me in a few mins early and served me a delicious americano! generous portions and super nice staff! Thank you!
Came here for lunch with a group of 6 and we were seated quickly. The menu is quite extensive with many options. I liked how there is something for everyone s taste. The food came out quick and everything tasted delicious. I especially loved the halloumi shakshouka. Parking can be difficult though, so I d recommend parking at a green p if you can t find street parking.
Best breakfast / lunch spot in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and always welcoming. Shina and Kimia are rockstars!
This is a great place for a mid-priced meal that is filling and tasty. The theme is mostly Middle East, but there are other choices, and they do cater to vegetarians and vegans. If you are hungry, or can take the food with you, or have plenty of time, get the plant-based shwarma. Large and delicious. The falafel seems a bit small for the price, but it is served hot, and it is better than anything else that I have had recently in the Greater Toronto Area. All of the salads are good, some are great. Many people like the signature dish, the Shashuka. I like it, but it is not my preference. If you want a light meal, get the Med Salad and the fried Halloumi sticks. It is worth saving room for dessert, especially the rosalach (you need 3 - 4 people for this), which are prepared when ordered. The staff have always been friendly and the service has been great. I like the atmosphere in the 3 locations that I have visited, but this place is popular, and it is often crowded. You cannot reserve for all times at all locations (although that might have changed), and without a reservation, you might have to wait. If you have time, just wait. It is one of the best restaurants in this particular location. Vegetarian options: Almost everything can be ordered as a vegetarian dish, and some vegan options (plant-based shwarma) are worth it, even if youre not vegan.
On Sunday, I went to the Caffe Landware branch and ordered a chicken shawarma with my friend. Unfortunately, we both ended up with food poisoning and experienced severe stomach aches. I hope that the restaurant takes measures to prevent such incidents from happening to other customers in the future.
