Cafe Landwer Yorkdale in North York

Cafe Landwer is one of my favorite places, especially as a picky vegetarian. Their food is great! Love the ambience too. Vegetarian options: They have some great and delicious vegetarian options. As a picky vegetarian, Cafe Landwer is one of my favorite places!

It has a nice vibe and delicious pizza

Decent place, a little expensive. Would be nice to be able to order just 2 eggs, bacon, toasts. Nice that a restaurant want to be fancy but you can be fancy and basic at the same time

This is the best restaurant, especially the falafel and sahleb drink! Highly recommend!!

This cafe has a very nice ambiance. Go with friends or family to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. I had falafel patty burger which was really amazing. Patty was fresh and even fries were good. Vegetarian options: You get vegetarian options as well. Parking: Big parking lot of mall Kid-friendliness: Yes

Excellent service, friendliness and very good food

This was our first time at this location. We normally go to the ones downtown. I have a mobility device, so I was concerned about walking through to our table. It was not an issue. Once seated, our server was light and fun. She made a couple of suggestions to my friend, which we both appreciated. The design of the restaurant was very pleasing, open, and welcoming.

Our family went there for brunch the very first time, the food was excellent as well as the customer service from our server, Lidia. She is very helpful with very polite and friendly manner at all time. This is definitely one of our favorite places to go for good food and services.

Went to the mall for no particular reason and felt hungry after walking around for a while. I came across a very cozy and appealing looking cafe and decided to give it a go. There was barely a wait time and the service was amazing. Our servers name was Karen and she was very sweet and quick with our food. Overall, no complaints! The food was delicious and Ill definitely be coming back.

The service was ok , server looked like she was really trying to enjoy working there. The place obviously is very nice . We ordered the chicken sandwiches , everything was fine until we left the restaurant , a family member and I started feeling sick and nauseated , it got worse at home ; vomiting was involved. I got seated very promptly and was waiting on a friend. The waitress was patient and got my drink order in the meantime. Once the food arrived, it was delicious and warm. I ordered the Sinia Shakshuka and my friend got the Pesto Chicken Pappardelle. Highly recommend this location! Only thing I wished was to be seated further from the entrance.

Went on a solo date and loved the atmosphere, food and their delicious Berlin tea! Made my Saturday evening.

The food is delicious. However, the service leaves much to be desired. Patrons dining here on weekends have 90 minutes to finish their meal. I dont take issue with the rule. In fact, we were out of there in 60 minutes. However, plenty of mistakes occur when the restaurants entire staff team is on a perpetual time crunch. We overheard the manager disciplining servers and cooks about the 90 minute rule numerous times. This happened, within earshot, 3 or 4 times during the hour we dined here. The intense pressure that staff face here certainly explains many of the mistakes with our order. I understand that the restaurant industry is difficult. I also understand that this location gets quite busy during the weekend. However, stressing staff to the point of consistent mistakes may reduce the number of repeat customers and increase employee turnover.

Went on the weekday afternoon of an eclipse, so it was pretty empty, but heard it fills up with a long wait. Even with a long wait, I can recommend it. Menu is comprehensive with something for everyone, We all enjoyed the feta omelette and the Arais burger (beef kebab in a pita), worthwhile to upgrade to the sweet potato fries for just a $1. Food was fresh, tasty and fairly priced. Service was good bordering on very good and we all enjoyed our experience. As a side note, the interior is cool, relaxing, clean and reminiscent of a European cafe. Very enjoyable and highly recommended. We will be back.

Had a great experience for brunch! The manager (I m assuming) was extremely attentive and kind to us, and especially to our 11 month old - gave him a toy, made him one scrambled egg for brunch. This was really appreciated given that it s not always easy to go out to dine with kids. Not to mention, the food and coffee was delicious. The atmosphere is super comfortable, bright and welcoming. Can t wait to come back!

Wow!!! The service is fantastic but the food is extremely bad. Cant believe this place is rated 4.6. They can make up with service for some extend, but food wise I have to rate it top 10 worst places in Toronto. No taste for the pasta, cocktails had zero flavor as well, tasted watered down. So if you want great service and atmosphere but dont care about the food then this is the place.

Cafe landwer is one of the few places where you get all the three things, ambience, good food and even better ppl working for the place. We were served by Kristine and it was a complete delight. I highly recommend the shawarma with couscous and shakshuka, they are amazing!!!

I visited this location for the first time and my experience was very nice. The location is spacious and pretty. Since it is inside the mall I was expected a very slow service however, my waitress Asina was very fast and super lovely. She recommended a sandwich that I havent tried before and although I am super picky, I went with her recommendation and it was delicious. Thank you Asina :)

Everything is amazing every single time I go! The food is delicious and I don t think is pricy at all. The service is wonderful and the servers are helpful, respectful and take care of you during the whole service. My faves are the mezza platter (smoked eggplant dip, pita bread are my go to) and nutella latte. They have a lot of vegetarian options as well

Just dined here with a colleague . My colleague left his card at home and wanted me to pay for the bill. With limited service and wifi we were having trouble accessing our banking apps and simply asked for a few minutes. After 5 minutes the manager came by and said I heard there was a problem paying the bill . We were completely shocked and mortified that the server relayed this information to the manager and found that quite rude. It is a Monday afternoon at 2PM and it is dead. We were patiently still waiting at our table and would have notified the server when we were ready to check out. I showed the manager my personal bank account that had over $10,000 in it. I think that being rushed to pay a bill in the age of technology is ridiculous. Especially because we did not order coffee or desert, there truly was no rush to leave . Are you guys ready to check out now ? Is more appropriate than I heard there is a problem paying the bill . You should train your staff on how to properly talk to people because he did not know why we were so offended .

I feel like either we caught them on an off day or there is room for improvement. While they had a table for us straight away, our food was cold when they brought it. I also thought the portions were small for the price, especially the kids meal. The washroom had this horrible, sewage smell and for Yorkdale, I thought this was just unacceptable. All in all, it was an okay experience for a spur of the moment, quick bite, but I wouldn t go back or recommend it should have gone to Joey.

This is what a cafe should be. I met a group of friends here once, we liked it so much it became our weekly spot. Very good food, friendly, attentive staff, a pleasant -- and an attentive manager. I never leave reviews but these guys have been good and consistent. You cant ask for much more.

This was my second visit here. I absolutely love the vibe of this place ! Plus tried falafel this time and it was delicious. I love their sweet potato fries,truffle pasta, falafel, shawarma platter, schnitzel . Definitely recommend this place as it has solid brunch options and the service here is up to the mark.

Although Ive visited this location before, this time was by far the greatest. The service was the highlight of the meal, which was also delicious. Lidia was outstanding and attentive. The best service Ive had in a while. Despite the busyness, the food arrived quickly, and I can t wait to come back!

You re in Yorkdale and don t know where to eat?! Habbi come to Landwer! The food will make your reminisce of Dubai. They say you should never buy a Bugatti on a empty stomach.

I had really high hopes for this location, I ve been to others and they were a dream. After I had put my name down and checked in with the hostess I continued to wait and watched the manager high five buddies of his and allow them to be seated immediately no problem and others who spoke the same language as him. After we were seated it took almost 20minutes to have someone take our orders. We had to grab the attention of a hostess to relay that we were ready to order. The food came out in alright timing but was extremely bland and basic, nothing wow which I ve heard this place can be a hit or miss unfortunately. Anywho we scarfed down my food and went about our day. Maybe I ll give it another try on a weekday where attention can be made an effort. Otherwise it was just okay. Atmosphere is nice always busy with families and friends catching up, very lively.

Shawarma sandwhich, not what I expected, tasted curry chicken. Pancake tasted like muffin. Pasta, few pasta noodles seems uncooked.. Been to few of there locations, yorkdale location is a disappointment.

This is always my favourite place to eat at Yorkdale. It s never too busy and the location is nice and bright with lots of tables by windows. For food choices, the shakshukas are always amazing. I tried the new skewers today as recommended by my server Christine and it was delicious. I love to bring friends here after getting hungry from shopping.

Visited Coffee Landwer on Saturday night without a reservation. The staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating us with seats. I ordered the Old Fashioned drink, which had an amazing smoky taste. Our waiter, Mahbod (or Barbod), served us professionally and was very helpful. Thank you!

My husband and I visted this location for a celebratory Valentine s Day dinner before heading out to a movie. We were seated in a booth as requested promptly and introduced to our server Brooke. She was attentive and overall fun and amazing!!
