This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the GTA! The food is authentic, super flavorful, and the portions are huge. Their lunch special is amazing—only $11.99, and it even comes with soup! The atmosphere is great—spacious, clean, and with a really nice vibe. The staff are polite and friendly, which makes the experience even better. Honestly, if you’re craving delicious Chinese food at a great price, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
The menu prices appear slightly cheaper compared to other restaurants, which might encourage you to order more—but be cautious, as this can be misleading. An automatic gratuity of 13.5% (pre-tax) or 12.5% (after tax) is added to your final bill. My partner and I recently had lunch here and were surprised by this. Additionally, we ordered an anniversary dish, which required the entire bill to be paid in cash. I paid with notes and coins, but the waitress assumed I had left extra tips and didn’t return the $1.40 in change. This effectively raised my tip to 17.5%. I was frustrated but didn’t bother to ask for the change. The food itself was better than average I would give a 4/5 but the restaurant’s practices left me feeling upset. Because of this unpleasant experience, I may not return or if I do I’d make delivery orders only.
We had the fresh lobster (about 2.8 pounds) in green onion and ginger sauce. When they showed us the lobster, it only had one claw. When we asked if we could see another one or get one with both claws… a lost in translation and communication barrier happened where the waiter said don’t worry this lobster they picked is strong and taste good. We were skeptical but went with it since we were not getting anywhere with our questions. The lobster was cooked well but something was a miss. It was okay but not great lobster experience. On the other hand, the beef tenderloin in honey black pepper sauce + broccoli was delicious. The beef tenderloin was moist, sweet and savoury all packed into one package. Would definitely recommend this dish. The stir fried snow pea tips/leaves was fresh and crunchy. Perfectly cooked. The Yeung Chow fried rice with bbq pork and shrimp was delicious and good compliment to eat with the beef tenderloin and stir fried snow pea tips/leaves. Overall the non-seafood dishes were good. Lobster was a miss. Service was disappointing and difficult. If you are not a native Chinese speaker. Good luck! Heads up, they automatically include tip into your bill, even for a party of 2 which we thought was odd. It pretty much cheapened the overall dining experience.
It was our first time dining in and we had a great experience with them. We ordered their steamed shrimp dumplings, chef’s special fried rice, pork rib and oyster with shell. Their staff are also pretty attentive thanks to Michelle and Angela!
Wonderful. Not crowded at all and the dishes are done well. Seafood is definitely fresh and the meat dishes did not disappoint either. They have now extended to dim sum servings and it available all day! Check out their daily specials. Did a twin lobster dish for $38!
Typical Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant. Food was good, and my fave sweet and sour pork was extra crispy. Wasn't busy at all on a Saturday night, but service was great (as good as it gets for a Chinese restaurant lol).
Very interesting seafood dishes and very nice dining atmosphere. This place specializes in seafood but I tried turf food because I was in a rush. Hot and Sour soup and stir fried beef in black bean dauce were A+. Servers were extremely nice. Servers also have a unique system of noting whether a table's orders have been filled. My dishes arrived quickly and were high quality in spite of being prepared quicker than a pizza from Dominos The interior was nicely decorated in original decor that pays homage to Chinese cuisine. Menu is extensive, with exotic seafood items that you will not find in other well-known Chinese restaurants in the GTA Would defo come here again when I'm in this area. A great place to bring guests for corporate dinners to show them some of the best Toronto has to offer
We came in Sunday afternoon for a birthday celebration dinner. It was quite empty so we got seated very fast. Inside decor is very Chinese with some cute details. We ordered a set menu with a 3lbs lobster, and ordered sweet and sour pork in addition addition. Overall the quality of dishes are above the average, but the portion size is very small, even for a 3lb lobster, it doesn't seem much different from a one pound lobster from other places, also we paid extra $10 for make the lobster in bifengtang style.
Tasty, no taste at all
Good food, good service
Parking: Parking is smaller side of the lot shared with Tim Hortons next door. There are parking at the back pf both restaurants but it is not well lite Food
I come here with my friends for lunch. Food is always good and fresh! Service is excellent too. Especially Michelle, she always comes a check on us. We will come again:)
I had an amazing dining experience here. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and every dish was bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the lobster . The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a coastal theme that added to the experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping us choose the best dish.
The crabs are very delicious. The waiter is also very enthusiastic. He has been introducing it to us. Someone will clean the bone plate as soon as it is full. The cooking method of Jinsha is very good. The frying can not squeeze out the oil. It is very good.
Will be back. Very nice people
Average
I can t recommend this restaurant enough! The food is absolutely delicious, with flavors that are truly authentic. Their seafood is surprisingly affordable, yet the quality is top-notch. We find ourselves coming back here often!
The meat in the casserole lamb belly was sour and the fried rice was too dry. Today s chef was very poor. Disappointed!
Good quality Chinese food with reasonable prices.
Generally OK
Service was good but food was bland.
The food standard is maintained, and the portions are large. Especially during the lunch special price period, the price will not be reduced due to the special price. I will come again.
The service is very good every time and the fish is delicious.
I had a wonderful brunch here. The food is so good! They have promotion every day of the week for different dishes right now. The price is pretty fair. The service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food, good service.
we just walked in and took order to go.she asked us to pay tips.we were not dine in and picked food by ourselves .we paid $21.22 tips.Way???
My husband and I have been here with both sides of the family for our wedding previously, and most recently for our anniversary celebration! Their seafood is so fresh, and their steamed fish is excellent quality such a treat to eat here. We were especially grateful for the manager Michelle s hospitality. She was so warm, welcoming and accommodating! She and the team truly create a unique dining experience. You feel really well taken care of here.
Super friendly staffs, authentic Cantonese food.
The meals are affordable and the portions are sufficient, but the taste is bland and needs to be improved.
Ordered takeout from this restaurant. Very fast service as they said it would only take 10 minutes over the phone. Overall the food quality, portions and prices are average. They offer 5% cash discount.
Good food and service, Michelle is very nice and friendly! We ordered lobster and scallops! Highly recommended!
The environment is very good! The food is delicious! The service is also great. I will come again next time!
The fish was fantastic!!!! Wheelchair accessibility: It is easy to get in and out of the restaurant Food : 5/5 |
The food was not cooked properly, but too much msg and got really sick after eating it. Service was bad. No AC and no washroom. They make customer go to Tim Horton to washroom. Overall bad experience.
Theres a reason why so few people visit this restaurant. There were only four waiters on Saturday, including the manager. If you order from the menu, the portions of each dish are very small, such as honey pepper oysters , only 8 pieces for $23.99, and the simplest boiled shrimp, only 9 pieces for $8.99, and then the 12% service charge will be automatically added to the bill. Will not patronize this restaurant again.
Fried rice has a weird taste, almost nothing was good.
The fresh live eel with green pepper is smooth and chewy, the saliva chicken made in 6 hours is slightly numb and fragrant, and the garlic bone has a chef-level crispy flavor~ The most recommended ones are the lobsters and oysters. One second they were alive in the water tank, and the next second they were cooked by the chef and served on the table. Seafood must be eaten alive~ The environment and services are very good. I recommend it to friends for dinner and family gatherings. Thank you~~~
recommend chicken and seafood good place for family and friends
It tastes great and the portions are generous! ! ! Must have five stars! ! ! Good taste!
Not usually write restaurant review but this is definitely an underrated restaurant. Very fresh seafood, one of the best steam fish in town. Particularly love their light seasoning in steam fish. My son is a picky eater but he loves eating here. Dinner Sets are value for money, outstanding service, no waiting needed.
Spacious, friendly staffs, one of the best and affordable Chinese food I ve ever had in Toronto. Tasty and good to eat, big space
Went here for mothers Day dinner and the wait staff was short handed so service was lacking. However the food had we had was good but a bit over priced.
- Plates/ utensils came dirty - server spat on my face while talking to me - bugs - rude/ unresponsive waiter - terrible experience
Excellent experience and services Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible Food : 5/5 |
Very authentic place. Delicious and varied menu. Reasonable prices. Great staff. I recommend it. Parking: Free public parking.
Got some seafood here. The waitress was being overly nice and we just knew she would ask for tips at the end because that is just the asian restaurant culture here. But this time was different, we literally got robbed as 4 of us friends came here and split the bill evenly. She literally passed us the card machine with $8 tips already put in for each of us. Which came out to $32 for just tips over our $250 bill. Her name is Michelle. Watch out. Overly nice waitress.
After reading the review written by Sennat Zaman, I would like to respond to it; however, it seems like there isnt a function for that. Therefore, Im posting my review here. I observed the situation as another customer sitting nearby on the same evening. Michelle or other restaurant staff members were naturally hospitable, friendly, and willing to help. I noticed Michelle assisting this particular customer and their three friends multiple times, even though her English proficiency wasnt very high. She still attempted to communicate with them using simple English phrases like Yummy? and the customers responded with Yes multiple times. I also observed these customers mocking Michelle after she left, which is disrespectful. Michelle also proactively provided them with more suitable utensils, taught them how to enjoy dishes, lemon tea, and so on. Please understand, I believe Michelle wasnt solely motivated by tips because a 12% gratuity was already included in the bill. Compared to other restaurants where a 15% tip is automatically included, the prices were fair. Moreover, dining on seafood is naturally expensive. This isnt just an issue of Asian culture; tipping culture is also part of Canadian culture. If the bill exceeded $250, then the 12% mentioned in the review would amount to around $30, which is not excessive. I felt that this review had elements of racism, and I also felt it was unfair to Michelle.
@Tim Lang Hello, thank you very much (eight) friends for coming to Tiantian Fishing Port for dinner tonight. I just read your comments. I am deeply sorry because our new colleague George is not satisfied with the dishes on the menu. I am very familiar and negligent. I placed your order for Spicy Boiled Fish Fillets for $18.99 and placed the wrong order for Boiling Crispy Fish Fillets for $26.99 on the computer. The price difference was $8. You spent too much. I am truly sorry There is nothing else. Malicious, I hope you can forgive me and be considerate. In fact, I only found out about this after I swiped my card at the time of payment tonight. At that time, I sincerely apologized to you, and then I wrote on my business card that I will give you a fried milk. , I will make it up for free next time. I am sincerely dealing with this problem. I hope you will visit Tiantian Fishing Port again, thank you
Worst experience in Toronto, bad and disappointing services. Overcharged without refund, misleading tactics, will never visit again.
Very unpleasant dining experience! Last night I dined with friends at Tiantian Fishing Port and ordered spicy boiled fish ($18). When we were paying, we discovered that the waiter George ordered spicy boiled fish fillet ($26) for us because the names of the dishes were similar. But when we placed the order with George, we clearly stated that what we wanted was spicy boiled fish. He never mentioned boiling fish, and we didn t even know what boiling fish was. When the waiter George told us about the order, he also mentioned spicy boiled fish. For some reason our final payment was for an unknown spicy boiled fish fillet ($26). Afterwards, we raised this issue with the waiter. The waiter was indifferent and even asked us what we should do. He did not try to solve the problem for the guests. The waiter George also told us with a bad attitude that he had already checked our order. But we always ordered spicy boiled fish, and we didn t know there was another spicy boiled fish fillet on the menu. The attitude of the clerk afterwards was very bad, and the waiter George never apologized to us. The dining experience was very poor. In the end, the clerk said that he would give us a dessert as compensation next time we visit. However, with such a bad service attitude and dining experience, I think we will never have the chance to patronize again. We can only treat it as a lesson learned.
This funny restaurant left another 5 star review to reply my review. Same as they clearly know how to order expensive similar dish, they clearly know how to play the game for keeping high rating in google map lol Beware when served by George at Captain s Catch! He steered me towards a dish $10 more expensive than what I requested, citing similar names. Deceptive tactics, not what I expected from this establishment. alert! I experienced unethical selling methods at high prices in Tiantian Fishing Port. Our waiter George used the similar name as an excuse to order a more expensive dish, which ended up costing us an extra $10. We pointed to the menu and ordered boiled fish fillets for 18 yuan. George maliciously ordered boiled fish fillets for 28 yuan. The names were very similar and he refused to admit it. He used the excuse that the order had already been exchanged. He was very disappointed with the lack of transparency. Will not patronize again
Very average food. It was freezing in this restaurant all around. especially cold in the washrooms. $1 oysters were flavourless. Only positive was decent service as the restaurant was nearly empty when we went.
bifengtang style lobster must try. definately one of the best in TRT. Little bit pricy but good quality. Dinning vibe I would say definitely not for dating but they make really good lobster
Huge food portion, very tasty! Definitely recommend.
Lowkey spot for Chinese food - they have almost everything that Congee Queen would have on the menu, but for cheaper! They have a daily promo going on that for each day of the week, a certain dish is for a set price (cash and dine in only, 1 order per table) - we went on Wednesday so a steamed tilapia was for $13.99 Note that dessert doesn t come with any meals
took literally 3 hours for all of our food to come, one dish every 40 minutes. food was mid, but service wasnt bad.
Manager is very very rude. She doesnot know how to behave.
I went tonight, I found the person who was at desk wearing a glasses with black suits short hair she is terrible,I made a reservation and arrived 5 minutes early, she has no response when I tried to talk to her 4 times, but It s not that busy that time,I thought she is deaf or can t talk, I was very patiently waiting, I found she can talk to certain people,The other staff members and food were very nice, I were thinking to give more tips at Chinese New Year when I received the bill the front desk glasses lady already add 20 0/0 ,Shame on her!!! I will give more tips if she is not adding on bill !
Ordered seafood congee. Went back to return. Squid had rotten smell. Lost my appetite. Disgusting, good thing my son didnt eat yet. even the chef or owner(not sure) smelled it and agreed it smelled realy bad. Only few good Chinese food around, this is not it.
Nice, quiet place. Great service. Lot of portion. It was perfect deep-fried glazed chicken. Definitely, well come back!
Some menus that you can honestly only order if you go with someone who speaks Chinese! Really enjoyed all these dishes recommended by my Chinese friend!
Nice food nice service
had dinner here with 4 of us 2 nights ago. rather quiet but staff were very friendly and service was good. had steam fish, crab, spareribs. Fish was very good, just right. dessert was the atypical deep friend milk pudding. good yet a little expensive, around $200. so tonight, I brought the rest of my family here. a party of 9. veggies, lamb stew, steam fish and fried chicken. good thing is its very quiet, no wait time!
A typical Cantonese restaurant with good steam fish and sweet and sour pork plus the lobster Parking: opposite Tim Horton with enough parking lots in the area Kid-friendliness: Children under 5 may choose fried rice or fried noodle with variety of choices
There were three managers on the floor who were there to take orders and pass the dishes around. There were not enough staff. There were set meals that were reasonably priced (but not including rice). The soup was not hot enough and was salty, and the chicken was not cooked enough. But the beef and ribs are good.
Good portions, food is ok
Great lunch deals
A nice, peaceful place to spend your time....less veg options though but all the food was tasty ... The vibe and atmosphere was very nice.
This is my very favourite Chinese restaurant. The chef is very creative, resulting in unique dishes not found in other restaurants. Michelle and the rest of her staff provide excellent and personable service to each and every diner. The decor is beautiful and spotlessly clean. If you are looking for unique Chinese dishes or unique presentations of familiar dishes, you have come to the place of your dreams. This is my favourite place to go for special occasions. If you go here and happen to see me, please say, Hi. My friends and I have been a regular, very satisfied customers since 2017 and will continue well into the future. We went to Captains Catch yesterday and we had a dish that was new for me, Lobster with E-fu Noodles, so fresh and so delicious. To accompany that, we had two favourites, Shrimp or Prawns with E-fu Noodles, my all-time favourite shrimp dish anywhere and for dessert, Pan Fried Milk, with just enough sweetness to declare this a superlative dessert. As usual, Michelle and her staff made sure that we had an excellent time. Each time we choose Captains Catch, we are made to feel both special and like we belong there. I saw that there were a couple of reviews here complaining about the price. I dont know where those people go to eat, but I do not like low class restaurants and do not frequent them. Of all the decent restaurants in the east end of the city, Captains Catch prices are amoungst the best, especially considering the quality and the quantity of food you receive. In addition, the chefs creativity is exceptional. I recommend you try Captains Catch.
I think the price/performance ratio is pretty good and the quality is pretty good. The waiters are also very enthusiastic
A decent Cantonese restaurant, not too impressive, not too surprising.
Service is very good, servers are nice and polite. Food is delicious! The restaurant is big and the distance between each table is big. Don t need to worry about too close to others. My family had a very happy new year eve dinner in there.
Very good yummy food and very nice service! Lunch was filling and a very good deal!
Delicious food, good service, and priced well.
only 1 person at lobby, she was too busy due to CNY (it was about 4:50pm), avoiding making eye contact with people waiting Parking: difficult to find parking because shared with Tim Hortons
I lived beside this restaurant, and we have visited it frequently for seven years since it opened. In the beginning, it was okay, but recently, its service quality decreased horrendously. Not only does the food taste bad, but the amount has decreased and its not even fresh. For recent three years, I have placed online delivery service orders for my seniors in another location for the holidays as I cannot visit them. This Friday I even called and told the manager to not make the food low in quality before they deliver my order this Saturday. However, on Sunday morning I received a complaint phone call from my family again, one item, Pan Fried Oyster Pancake, had no oysters in it and my family complained that there were only vegetables and eggs. I had also ordered a live fish, however, the fish was clearly not live-cooked and my family had told me that the fish tasted horrible. I spent $192 for an order with total 6 dishes for this meal. For the past three years, this restaurant has been cheating me on my delivery online orders, decreasing the quality of food. Another thing is that this restaurant has multiple chefs for different times, where the lunch chefs are terrible, but the evening chef is marginally better. Overall, this restaurant has a terrible work ethic, always increasing its price and decreasing its quality. I dont understand why it has such a high rating on google (and I suspect that they are bought), I wont order anything or visit this restaurant anymore because it continues to be like this.
The taste is pretty good, but the portion is too small.
Friendly service, great quality seafood, authentic preparation, fair prices and easy parking. Perfect combination
Always gave a good experience when I come here. Greeted when you come in and staff is really friendly. Food is delicious!!
Great people, with great setvice, and tasty catch.
It was my first time here and their staff Michelle was absolutely adorable and helped us out by giving her suggestions on what to eat . We decided to go with suggestions Michelle gave us. We ordered Seafood Malaysian Noodles, Salt and pepper Prawns and for dessert we ordered deep fried milk cake. The very first bite noodles touched my heart , prawns were nice and crispy and dessert was absolutely yummy. Michelle made sure we enjoyed our food by coming and checking on and asked if we needed anything else. She was so kind and lovely I ended up clicking a picture with her. Thank you Captains Catch and Michelle for lovely hospitality.
I had take out foods for Saturday around 4pm. The food was excellent, the price is good and the server who gave me the bag of food was extremely polite. I will have more foods from this restaurant soon in the future.
Come here after because it s across the street from my home. Fair prices, quick take out, huge portions, and delicious!
The food was very tasty. The live crab and egg yolk shrimps ball were my favorites. The kid loves the sweet ribs. Kid-friendliness: They have many tables. with friends, they gave us a round table.
Food is cheap but not so good
Affordable, considerate service and beautiful environment.
Huojiujian: 17 yuan for a portion of smooth egg and shrimp soup...
I came here to eat every day when I was in high school. After I moved away, I seldom came here. It s really delicious. Michelle s service attitude is also very good. Good memories.
Fresh seafood! Absolutely yummy!
I have only been there at lunch time for their lunch time specials. They are very tasty and extremely substantial. Both times Ive had leftovers in a takeaway box. Parking: Shared with Tim Hortons
Order the Lemon Chicken trust me.
70 dollar for four people. Food was good portion and tasty. Nice service too.
When I ordered takeout of sea yellow tofu soup before, I always got a bucket of soup. Now the rice balls are discounted at 10%, so this case becomes half a bucket. The takeout box on the left is the previous size, and the one on the right is todays Its just a few weeks apart. Is it too much to pay $13 for a soup just to order takeout? !
The lunch box tastes quite good, but there is really no meat. I look for a needle in a haystack and pick out some minced meat. Two-thirds of the box is filled with rice
Very delicious set meals!
Great location. Food is tasty, service is great, and the interior is beautiful! My go-to spot for Cantonese food
Lunch specials are cheap at cut down quality. Regular price items are good.
The decor is antique and elegant. It is a comfortable restaurant that is suitable for gatherings, discussions, and family banquets. The food is good and the portions are large.
Great food served quickly with welcoming service.
Excellent food and comfy settings.
Second time being invited to have lunch here. All the food is good as I expect.
Friendly staffs n great customer services. Foods are tasty n great price.
The service was very good, the ladies at the front treated me really nicely. The food was tasty, great portions, the chicken wings were cooked perfectly, crispy, juicy. I came into the restaurant after feeling really drained after work and stopping by this restaurant revitalized me.
Have come here plenty of times over the years, came here this week and it was very good service and food.
This is my parents go to neighbourood Chinese restaurant. They are discerning Chinese seniors, so you know the food is authentic, good quality, and fairly priced. The service is friendly, and the seating is spacious and comfortable. We were just there with a couple of Chinese friends from Vancouver, who were happy with the food and service. Their kids, got a highchair and kid friendly plates and sporks. The kids were also happy to go look at the lobster/crab tanks for a distraction.
Food was extremely bland. Waste of money
i am telling you this place is the go to for casual, affordable, yet delicious food. the food tastes authentic, not overly salty, or sweet. the food here tastes just like home cooked meals. they have a wide array of food too. the inside decor is fine, nothing too special, but the prices are unbeatable. an amazing value for the money, the portions are pretty big as well. the service is alright, but for the price and overall ambience it is fine. get the steamed tilapia on Wednesdays, it is the freshest tasting fish ive ever had. the beef egg drop thick soup is amazing as well. overall, super authentic tasting food, and i never get overly thirsty after, unlike some other chinese restaurants ive went too.
Our first visit, and we will be back! Reataunt is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Great customer service; everyone was nice and patience as we took our time looking over the menu, special shout out to Angela! The food tasted fresh and not too salty. Lots of Chinese families and seniors came to dine. Special friday promo - $28.99 for 2 lobsters and they tasted fresh and delicious; cant go wrong with that price. The chicken and salted fish fried rice was also delicious.
Good food, reasonable service
Excellent, authentic Chinese food !!! Love it, will definitely cone back. 9 of us came and I ordered the seafood special for 8 with the 7 lbs lobster dish. Everyone enjoyed the many course meal!
Feel like home, delicious food and good service! Will definitely come again!
I spent nearly $500 and had a great meal. I am considered a regular customer there and often go there by myself and sometimes bring friends. But now I don t want to go anymore. Because 1, if the tip you give is only 10+, they will ask you to increase it. 2. To kill regular customers, I went to eat with a group of friends yesterday. I just had a plate of abalone and braised bean sprouts (8 pieces), a plate of double lobsters with ginger and onion, a steamed fish, a small stir-fry and a set of Sihe for 59 yuan. They charged me 491 yuan for the dish and even forced a tip. This is a scam. Friends, please think twice if you go there in the future.
Yall have some bad taste or have not tried legit good Chinese cuisine if you think this is good. There are far better places for better value too. Make sure to ask for the price of each food suggestion they make to you as it can be costly without knowing what you pay for.
very good experience, nice service and nice food!
Very friendly service at the captains catch!
The customer service from the time you enter the restaurant is so harsh .The. service in taking order is also terrible not attentive. Food we order sweet and sour chicken is like from yesterday left over it s hard they just added the souce.spice to look it was newly cook. The mince shredded soup is also terrible its taste fish. Their utensils from knife,,fork is not clean. I have asked for new and still it s not clean. Inspection from the food regulatory should step in. Management train your employees to be friendly with smiles. I will not recommend the place to eat and over all expectations and experience fails.
Food is not lost
Very delicious. Very affordable
small soup nothing at all cost you 10 dollars
The seafood and Cantonese dishes are pretty good and very cost-effective. Before the mask, the dishes were stable, but in the near future, the frequently ordered dishes will appear to be substandard, and the quality control is unstable. I would like to specifically remind the staff about the issue of blue gloves. A pair of gloves can be used to collect dirty dishes and napkins. The same pair of blue gloves can be used to serve you food and pack tea cups. Please, please change your gloves. The blue gloves seem to be for staff to keep their hands from getting oily, not for food hygiene. This operation is irresponsible for food hygiene and safety. I was very worried that the saliva in the napkins of other table guests would get on my tea cup. Please, change your gloves frequently!
Tasty yum yum goodness. Huge portions
Best bang for bucks. We had dinner on Christmas Eve, service and food were stilp very good despite lack of staff
Very tasty food. Black pepper beef tenderloin is a must try as the beef was soft and melts in your mouth. Crab and corn soup was very nice as well.
Picked up take out and the portions were very small compared to other Chinese dining places. Will not order from here again.
It wasnt a busy day at all. We waited quite a long time to get to our table even though there was an open table the whole time and the staff were just being slow as there were some just walking around. When we got to our table, we were calling for orders with many waitresses just walking right by us and not caring enough to take our orders and it took a long time to take the orders. The food is overpriced in my opinion and was served really cold. After the food I had a hard stomach ache and we called for the bill but they never actually came. 45 minutes later they finally come and give us the bill. During the meal, when a waitress was giving us tea, she lined up several cups and then started pouring in a line and making a mess on the table. Another waitress took my plate while I was still eating and she took it just because nothing was on it but I was holding chicken with my hand so I couldnt put it down anywhere to drink water. Service - 1/10 Food - 3/10 I do not recommend to eat at this restaurant.
Absolutely agree with other reviewers who are reporting about their lying and cheating customers. We specifically asked about the lobster price before ordering because it was not listed in the menu. They told us that one lobster will cost $35. We ended up with $90 lobster in the bill We love Chinese food and had been in lots of places but never had this kind of experience before Definitely do not recommend this place where customers are being cheated.
First time be there, I try pick up order, its still good. They have congee and fried rice and other Chinese food.
Impressive menu, cooking and service. My wife and I chose this restaurant off the cuff as it was time to eat when we were in the area. It exceeded expectations.
The food not bad but the services are extremely slow. Take out would be a better choice
Staff sincerely, good service & fast food preparation
Not big seafood fan. Not the ideal person to ask.
I ordered 3 live lobsters, which were packed in the freezer. The meat was stiff and the typhoon shelter was made into Thai sweet and spicy sauce. One lobster and one fried noodles. A portion of green vegetables cost $147 Canadian dollars. A bit deceptive
We picked the set dinner menu which includes live fish and lobster. We were told the fish is larger than what is allowed in the set dinner menu. (The menu never says the size limit for the fish). So extra $$ was added. The lobster was missing one claw. I asked if credit would be given for missing one claw. The answer was no. The dinner was tasty, but we felt cheated.
Didnt have anyone in the resturant during the dinner peak. We ordered a beef stir fry and the beef was way past expiry. I feel like the place has gone seriously down hill over the years
Oh my god, I have never eaten such terrible Chinese food. Oh my god, is this for human consumption? Impressed
Food is exceptional the turnip patties and the sticky stuffed chicken which you need to order in advance also the beef short ribs
This restaurant is seriously over priced!!! The only good dish that stands out is the hot and sour soup.
First off, was quite expensive compared to other places so we thought the quality was going to be good. When food arrived, it was decent. Then, after a couple hours, myself and my family all got extremely bad food poisoning. Extreme vomiting sharp stomache pains and a trip to the ER. Dont order from here. You would think if they charge so much for their dishes, they would handle and prepare their food better. Diners beware.
Good taste
One of the worst places I have eaten at. Got very ill after we ate there food. Do not eat here over priced and taste is awful. I do not know how they are in business
The food was amazing
I wasnt crazy about the quality of their dishes. The pork was super tough and chewy, the other dishes were just ok...
like the many other commenters have already stated, they will charge you more claiming that the catch was larger than anticipated without any way of proving it, and they wont mention any of this on the menu or before handing you your check
food tasted decent but the prices are going higher while the food portions are getting smaller. i ordered a soup with noodle things and fish and they said they would add the noodle like stuff later but they forgot all about it and once we reminded them they took the pot with the soup and left then like 20-30 mins and we had to remind them once again because they forgot. i also ordered this crab thing with my family and parts of it were missing like a claw and another leg thing. id rate to food like a 6-6.5 /10 and the service a 4-5/10
This an excellent place to get Chinese food, average prices, nice environment, elegant. The menu is base mostly in seafood, I would say they also excel in their regular dishes. Whatever dish that my wife and my self had tried we really enjoyed them.
Very fast service. Food tasted like canto cuisine from the early 90s in old chinatown. Very nostalgic.
Good price Good food good service
The birthday party held here a few days ago was delicious. My friends all had a great time. The restaurant service staff were very attentive and enthusiastic. It was a great experience.
Terrible restaurant. Will not be going g back.
Food was delicious. Service was good. Enough room/space for seating. Especially with covid numbers up again.
The food wasn t that exceptional. I asked what which fishes were included the seafood, the waitstaff said scallops, shrimp and squid but when I saw white fish there I questioned again, she said it was grouper which I was avoiding because of high levels of mercury. We order boiled shrimp, when I took the first bite the shrimp was raw and there was blood in it. When I asked to send the dish back, the staff said it s supposed to be like this. Blood and raw? The chef didn t even come out to apologise but we didn t pay for that dish. However it was a terrible experience.
There is a service staff who has a bad attitude and charges excessive fees. Customers are there to consume, not to be annoyed. Very disappointed bad experience
Great place. Good food reasonable prices.
Great taste good value
Wonderful Meal. They have the freshest Lobster and Sea Bass. The quality of service is excellent. Make sure you order the Crispy Fried Milk for dessert.
The food is not good, and people are not nice either.
Bigger dishes than at congee queen, better value, and tastes just as good.
