The best ceviche you will ever have is here.
Great portion of food! Delicious!
amazing authentic peruvian food! Dont mind the negative comments. i went here to check it out if it was true. To my surprise i was amazed by the amazing taste. i will say order ahead of time. but it is a great experience
Very good food & excellent portions.
It was my first time here , and I must say the food was very good I had the Jalea (for those that don't know it is fried seafood with onion and tomato like salad on top which makes it good) and I also order Lomo saltado ( it is beef with vegetables stir fried like but much better ) the portions were good and generous , so people go and try the Peruvian food on this new restaurant
I first discovered Carmen y Pepe when they used to have a stall at the Dixie flea market. They now have a place on Jane St, La Esquina Chalaca and a stall at Downsview flea market. I have been to all 3 places many times in the last +5 years, everytime the food was amazing. Everything that I tried was delicious, the price is reasonable and portions generous. Try the Ronda Marina, causa, papa rellena, empanadas or anything else they have - everything is delicious.
The huancaina is amazing but I come for the ceviche and jalea
Got a jalea dish (fried seafood) for $20. Was a very generous portion plus a side of spicy Aji and leche de tigre. It was delicious. A 15 min wait. The staff were nice. I stay up to date on their Facebook page for what dishes they're offering.
It was one of my favorite restaurants now it leaves a lot to be desired!! The jelly only has fish, 1 shrimp, and a squid ring. I for one will not return, and the prices are very high.
Very bad. People who give good reviews must not know anything about Peruvian food. Peppers are never added to the lomo saltado, the seasoning is much to be desired. The jelly only had fish, squid and only one shrimp. The grilled chicken was really char-burned chicken. I do not recommend to good connoisseurs of Peruvian gastronomy. This is an insult to my beloved Peru.
The best spot in Toronto for Peruvian Brunch!
