Champion Döner in North York

I ordered chicken doner box through door dash and the chicken was absolutely bad. From the taste I can tell that it wasnt fresh at all. It was hard and chewy. I had tried the Vaughan location before and the food was tasty and fresh but my experience with this location is terrible. I dont think I will ever come back to this location.

We had a mix up during my order (which I also carelessly didn t notice) and they made it more than right with their complimentary extra offering. This is an amazing place with the best Turkish foods in GTA and they make you feel valued and cared about as a customer. The last two times I ate the doner kebabs, I couldnt swallow them. The first time, I thought it was just a one-time experience with the doner kebabs with cartilage, so I didnt write a comment, but I encountered the same thing for the second time. I couldnt continue eating. It wasnt worth the price.

!!! THIS WAS MY LAST TIME TO BE THERE !!! Lots of times I said that to myself but as a Turkish I wanted to eat from Turkish restaurant which is close to my home. But this time gonna be the last time. There was no chicken in wrap (hatay chicken wrap). I have paid for fries but after I finished my wrap I had to ask to take my fries. They are always doing these things. Service is getting worse day by day. I will definitely not suggest this restaurant to anyone anymore.

It has a very good service. After the order is taken, they ask for the ingredients without waiting for long and give it to you immediately. It is one of the best meats I have eaten in the North York region. The employees are friendly and there is no perfect service in any business. Every business has its own shortcomings, but there is not much of a problem with the Champion, but its employees. They are very interested, I think the employees should be rewarded, good work, good luck.

Fresh toppings and fresh food. So far the best falafal wrap I have ever had. For sure better than osmows and tahini. The best part is they are very reasonable in price in this tough time.

After asking politely if we can sit for 5-10 minutes, she responded rudely that we cannot. The management should review their staff performance

I had an outstanding experience at Champion Doner s new Keele location yesterday. My husband and I are regulars at the Woodbridge spot, but this visit exceeded our expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional; the chicken shawarma was made fresh with the meat cut directly off the spit right after we placed our order. The flavors were vibrant, and the texture was perfect crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The service was equally impressive, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome. This new location has certainly raised the bar. Highly recommend it to anyone craving top-notch shawarma!

Just had the beef shish at Champion Doner, and it was amazing! Perfectly grilled, super tender, and packed with flavor. If I had to choose one food to eat for the rest of my life, this would be it. I really wish they had a location around the Yonge and Gerrard intersection. It would be great to have this delicious option closer to home!

Today I ate at a place called Döner Station Kebab and I have never seen such a disgraceful service. They give neither bread nor salad with the portions. You cannot ask for anything extra, even with the money. I mean, if you ask for one and a half portions, they say no, it is not enough. Also, it is self-service. The reason why I am writing this here is that I ate at both of your branches, it was very delicious and of high quality. I am a doner master, especially your meat doner, there is absolutely no leaf or minced meat, the oil setting is very good, your masters are excellent, I thought of you because of the negative experience I experienced today and I wanted to say that the work you do is valuable and you do it properly, and I even commented on my negative experience at the döner station kebab restaurant and I did not experience anything. If you dont know, I requested that Champion Döner be taken as an example in terms of taste and service, thats all I have to say in Google comments, thank you for your efforts, there is no one better than you here, rest assured.

Ice cold pre-cut chicken, stale sandwich bread, and the fact that the employees are more interested in gossip than work, oh my God, what else can I say... I asked you 3 times to please warm the bread, ice chicken coming to the table, stale bread from yesterday, soap in the sink, etc. .

This location is definitely the best Champion Donner location in terms of food quality and customer service. They have the best and fastest service. Staff is so kind, I dropped my food and they offered to replace it without me asking, food always comes out hot and the salad is always fresh.

My pita bread needed toasted, asked if you can pls warm the pita.i was rudely told we don t have or use a bread warmer. Everywhere else does.threw 80% in the garbage pita tasted raw.get it together never again and told others stay away

This is hands down the best donex Ive had in Canada. Tried the mixed doner box and the portion was so big that I could barely finish it! The workers are extremely kind and welcoming as well. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place!! You should absolutely try the cold baklava, its also the best one Ive ever had. An amazing meal!

So as a new customer coming in I must say the food was good but the service could be better. I have worked in the customer service industry and the shawarma business for quite some time, and I must say the service here is mid to low tear. Sadly after spending almost a $100 on food and again being a new customer, I would expect my service experience to be amazing but instead I felt rather afraid to ask for certain things as it felt like a bother to ask and then see a smug look with no response on the servers end making our food. After asking for some things added to our food or sauses on the side, they would make little remarks to each other in their own language, which is very unprofessional. It felt as though it was a burden on them or such a task to do things as the server rolled her eyes at one point. In regards to this, I am deeply disappointed as I tried the one up in vaughan and recommended this to my family down in downsview to then be treated like rubbish with no customer appreciation. The sad part is I offered to pay extra for some stuff on the side, but it was met with ignorance. At the end of the day, I would take my $100 and go to a shawarma restaurant that smiles and appreciates my business rather than seeing it as a burden to do their job.

The food is delicious, fresh, and hot. You cant go wrong with the chicken doner. Ive gone to the keele and Dixie location. Both deliver the same consistent quality, which is rare for a franchise. For years Ive been trying to find a doner place ever since the one I used to go to as a kid shut down. After years of searching, Im blessed to find champion doner. Thank you to all the staff that run the operations.

This is my third time visiting this store and for this time i ordered Doner wrap and dessert, these two staff trying to finesse for not giving my dessert good thing i always check my orders then when i told them they acting like they forgot but i knew that the guy whispered something to the lady before she handed me my order and after they smirking/talking or their language, im so disappointed why they did that i want to confront them but its just a waste of time

I bought the chicken shawarma wrap multiple times since it opened and it had great service with HUGE portions. I would consistently tell my friends and family about it and how I would recommend the place. However, after purchasing three wraps today for my family and I, I was very disappointed and confused about the portion. They gave very very little chicken and since I got three wraps for different people, we all wanted different toppings. But they had two different workers making the wraps and they would talk over each other and ask me at the same time what each wrap wanted. It felt like I was being rushed and it got confusing even though no one was behind me. I have attached and drew around the amount of chicken given. I remember getting more than 3 times this amount. I will have to reconsider coming back here again.

They discriminate my girl friend, because she just want three bottles water.. Or maybe because we are Chinese. Then when i asked them why dont respect my girl friend they just expel me, physical touch me without my consent, why your staff so rude? Hope you were taught how to respect people before working, hope you could improve your staff training.

First of all, Master Tahirs smiling face and the way he addresses the customers are very good. Every time I come, he welcomes me with the same conversation and sincerity. Even though he is very busy at work, the food is very good and is as good as Turkey.

Do these stores of yours prepare food according to their location? I wanted a plate at the Keele St store. Filling the bottom with rice and putting some meat on top and making the meat visible when distributed will harm you. To be very honest, if you dont agree with this event, you will sell the gram business.

Ive been to every champion doner and this one has been the worst. Took about 25 minutes for a doner plate when only a couple customers were there and 5+ staff at the front of house just talking in Non English to each other and laughing. Also they missed the bread that comes with the meal but I didnt want to go back to complain. Also the parking lot is a nightmare to park in, which is not the companies fault but people should be aware of when visiting. Overall the food was good tho.

This Döner spot is one Id return to for their tasty food, generous portions and great service. They have a variety of menu items and various wraps. We had the mixed sandwich that is filled with fresh vegetables and various sauces. The bread that comes with the sandwich is crisped to perfection. The mix shawarma box is also decently portioned and comes with a mix of salad/fries or rice to your liking. Recommended!

I found myself in a rush and opted for a quick bite on my way to a meeting. At one point, I contemplated canceling my order, anticipating that I might be late and considering revisiting the eatery another time to sample their cuisine. However, a very courteous gentleman expedited my order and politely requested a slightly extended waiting period. The service was exceptional, and the beef wrap I received was absolutely delicious! I was pleased that I decided to wait, although unfortunately, I did end up being tardy for my meeting.

Clean place. Food is good. Bread is fresh since baked right on spot. Team with smile. Kitchen utensils are very clean (metal spoons / forks / plates). When I eat there I feel myself like at home just because you do not eat with plastic spoon / fork / plate (that option is available as well most probably). If happening slightly delay or some inconvenience due to baking fresh bred (it takes time), they offered sweet baklava for free to a client (I am a witness). Price is reasonable. They are open 12 hours daily. I think this place is wonderful from many aspects.
