I ordered via ubereats boneless honey brown and soy garlic. What I got are fried boneless chickens with the sauce underneath at the bottom. Not sure why they did not bother mixing and coating the chicken with the sauce. Looks far from what they have in photos.
I’m still dreaming about my meal at Chicken Plus! Each bite was a delight, and the presentation just blew us away. Don’t miss out on trying the bulgogi fries. The staff here truly cares about their guests. They were attentive, courteous, and polite. They made us feel like VIPs.
This was my first time trying korean food based on a friend recommendation. I loved everything we ordered. Wr ordered beef dumplings, grilled beef fingers, bone chicken with mala mala sauce and rice cakes. They were absolutely yumm. Service was good and washrooms were clean. Price is good. We paid around 75$ for two people. Portions are big. They even had halloween decoration in their washroom which was kind of funny and cool. Overall loved everything
Love atmosphere here. I have try creamy onion chicken which is good. Cheese fried is also good but a little bit sweet for me. Staff here is very nice. I looking forward to come back to try more menu.
Visited Friday evening and found this place is pretty popular at 7pm, however, I was able to get a table. I was unsure what to expect as I couldn't look through the windows, yet, found a popular low key diner focused on fried chicken and serving alcohol and it certainly was not a dive bar. The establishment is well maintained. The majority of the menu is fried chicken (go figure) and I went for the small fried chicken with fries. There wasn't too much of a wait considering the place was pretty busy. There was a good sized portion and the quality was good. The price was equivalent to the quality so for a dinner plate sized portion with a dozen wings this cost $20. Note on a Wednesday there is 20% off wings and there is 10% discount for cash. The waitress was excellent and checked if everything was good. There is a good selection of beers and Korean alcohol (soju).
I called, ordered, and went to pick it up. The Korean staff responded kindly. There were quite a few tables inside and it looked like a good place to enjoy the evening. For chicken, I ordered original fried chicken and yangneom chicken. They were very delicious. It was especially good because the chicken was cut to an easy-to-eat size. It's exactly the size I used to eat in Korea. When I packaged the chicken in a box and put it in plastic, it felt a bit damp and less crispy. And the Snowing Cheese Fries are so delicious. It feels a little expensive compared to the quantity. But I will order it again because it is delicious. It would be better not to put it in plastic bag, or to put it in a paper bag or a larger chicken box.
I’ve tried them all. My my. Ne Ne. BBQ chicken and the Fry. Chicken Plus the bar is the best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and the flavours are awesome. I’d personally recommend red marvel and hot shocking. Red marvel has a little bit of a kick so if you’re not into spicy flavours maybe check something else on the menu. If you like fries I’d also recommend the snowing cheese fries. If you’ve never had Korean fried chicken this is the place to be. If you love Korean fried chicken then this should be your new spot.
I love chicken plus. Decided to try out their new location and it definitely did not disappoint! Their chicken was super crispy and savory. Tried their red marvel and new honey brown flavor. Their rose tteokbokki was also delicious. I really like their interior and LED sign, really adds to the vibes. They also give you complimentary popcorn.

I HATE when places try to provide enticement for reviews, because it skews the review it makes their positive reviews not real. For that, an automatic lower rating deducted from their Service, because my honesty isnt worth $6. We ordered via Uber Eats - snowy cheese bone in, and creamy onion boneless and some bulgogi fries. The chicken was average - good crispiness, but the flavours were ordered weren t as good as some other places.

I ve been to Chicken Plus + on Sheppard twice with some friends. It has always been a fantastic time and the food is great. If you re there ask for Nami, she is always honest, helpful and friendly :).
Amazing! There really isnt any word I can think of to describe the juicy chicken this place has to offer. However, the premier service we received from Nami really made it an unforgettable experience.

They have great combo options so I love coming here with friends. I also get just fried chicken take out. It taste delicious.
The bone-in fried chicken was tasty but a little hard and almost half of them are bones with very little meat. The restaurant only give you breast and bones if you order bone-in. The order takes at least 20 minutes to be ready for pickup so order ahead to avoid the wait time.
i had some doubts about the reviews. My doubts were cleared. Highly recommend fishball soup.

Tonight we dined at the Spring Garden location of Chicken Plus the Bar in North York. The food was fabulous overall; the chicken dishes we ordered were both very fresh and portion sizes were generous. And they make the absolutely best onion rings and sweet potato fries we have ever eaten. Suffice to say we highly recommend this restaurant for its interesting, albeit unexpected take on Korean Cuisine, including their variety of delicious and innovative dipping sauces for all types of taste buds from the spicy, to the sweet, and also along the tamer end of the culinary spectrum. Our lovely, cheerful, and very pleasant server, whose name is Nami was super attentive and patient with us as we were not familiar with the online table ordering system which is a very streamlined and client friendly method to employ. Nami is so wonderful she deserves to get her own 5 STARS as she excels in ensuring the quality of service was superb throughout our restaurant stay. Overall service is quick and efficient. It s a great restaurant to dine in, or even to order in from and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We definitely will return to enjoy some of their other dishes. Chicken Plus the Bar also has a fabulous selection of alcoholic drinks, as well as an extensive selection of beer for you to enjoy. And for those of you who want to take a photo of yourself in their adorable, very bespoke photo booth located at the front of the restaurant, to post on your Instagram, they offer you that opportunity along with costumes and props that you can add to customize your look. All in all an A Plus Experience at Chicken Plus the Bar !!!

I m obsessed with this place! It is my go-to uber eats order. The tteokbokki is delicious and the chicken is perfectly crispy, yet tender. I ve tried soy garlic, yang-nyeum, red marvel, honey brown and got shocking. My absolute favourite is red marvel because it s sweet with a nice kick. Snowing cheese fries are very addictive and I dip them in tteokbokki broth. Can t wait to have this again!

Large choice of fried chicken, fast service, helpful staff. All the plates were very good and tasty. The possibility to do half/half and the free refill of popcorn are a plus. Had a great time and will come back.

Ive tried a lot of chicken places, and Chicken Plus is definitely one of my favorite Korean fried chicken spots in Toronto. Among their flavor options, Red Marvel is my top pick. It has a nice kick of spice, balanced perfectly with a sweet, creamy sauce drizzled on top. The fried rice cakes are sweet and provide a little break from the heat. Their ddeokbokki is decent, but the taste of Korean chili pepper powder is a bit too strong and doesnt blend well into the sauce. It could use some improvement. Id rate it a 6.5/10 as the balance of flavors isnt quite right. The oden is refreshing with a good amount of heat, but unfortunately, it was much too salty. We had to ask for hot water to dilute it. The server brought a cup of hot TAP water and even mentioned it might not be hot enough, lol... A little tip: The kitchen staff could boil some water or, better yet, take the soup back to reheat it with added water to reduce the saltiness. Their customer service could definitely use some improvement. I hope this feedback gets noticed as Im someone who spent nearly a decade in the restaurant business.

There are many fried chicken places in this area, but this one is off the main road and is one of the best! Good relaxing ambience with mood (dim) lighting, clean bathrooms with the best toilet paper (Charmin wave cut), fantastic food and service. Free parking on Doris for the duration of the evening meal. Comparable prices to a McDonalds meal in 2024 when ordering just a chicken, it comes with sweet pickled crunchy vegetable.
The chicken is not greasy and tastes clean, and the rose tteokbokki and jjamppong are just as delicious as any restaurant. The atmosphere is also great!

The Tteokbokki is soooo good! This is my go to dish when I visit Korean restaurants and so far, their Tteokbokki is the best. I can also say that their Chick is to die for - it is crispy outside and moist and juicy inside. My husband and I totally recommend.
I recently dined here (again!) and had another amazing experience!! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and their sauces are second to none!! Keeps me coming back, I wanna try all the flavours!! The atmosphere was cozy and they had the game I wanted to watch on tv!! My server Nami(?) was amazing, who truly went above and beyond. Her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent recommendations made my dining experience even more enjoyable!! Nami was exceptional and ensured that I was well taken care of throughout my meal. I will definitely be returning soon!!
I highly recommend Chicken+. We came with our family and everyone had something they loved. The crispy squid was delicious- it comes as a whole squid with rings and tenticles. The Korean pancake surprised us and was so thin and delicious that we ordered a second. The snowy cheese fries were a delicious take on seasoned fries and a must to try. Finally the red Marvel chicken was very spicy which we loved and was delicious. We tried the soft bone chicken but that was not for us. Overall an easy way to enjoy a family meal that was very satisfying and totally tasty (and the K-pop music was fun).

We ordered 2 half bone in chicken, one with soy garlic and the other yang-nyuem. We also got an order of rose tteokbokki and corn cheese. Everything tasted great. The rose tteokbokki is a must have. The chicken came without the sauce. You pour the sauce over the chicken yourself. The chicken was perfectly fried and super juicy. Service was great and there is on street Green P parking right outside the restaurant.
The chicken used in our order was super hard and dry, like glass. Suspect it was old leftover chicken. Very unpleasant experience given that we paid $60 for it..

$35 for this. 8-10 small pieces of boneless Chicken and extra rice cake for $3.50. I understand food costs are high these days but this is ridiculous. Quality and quantity has both gone down since I ve last ordered and the only thing that has gone up is price.

3.5. I ve gotten takeout from here probably close to a dozen times. The experiences have been unfortunately hit or miss. There ve been a few times when the food has been great chicken and tteokbokki were crispy and delicious. But there ve probably been just as many misses, where the chicken pieces were small, over-breaded, overcooked and dry. I ve stopped ordering from here because of the lack of consistency. Ruins my night when I get subpar fried chicken.

whats with the high ratings... the chicken is dry and not as crispy as most other Korean fried chicken places. flavor is okay. the radish tastes obviously of soap... i can even name the brand of soap. servers are inattentive, i can hear the bell ring, yet they cant bring me the bill after 15 minutes of standing around
A fun environment and atmosphere!
We tried this restaurant for the second time, thinking that maybe the service wasnt good the first time. Unfortunately, the main problem with this restaurant is not the food, but the staff who lack time management skills. The restaurant manager needs to address this issue. We ordered fried octopus and spicy fried chicken, and both were good.
The Red Marvel Chicken is S Tier. This is our third time and we can safely say this place never disappoints. Great ambience. The host was really kind and the service was excellent. 10/10 Food

I have been coming here many time since opening. Their quality of food and service is exceptional when compared to other korean chicken restaurant near here (the fry, nene chicken, bbq chicken, etc). I usually order their original fried chicken and yangnyum chicken and it is so good! Their service is very good where waiter and waitress are very helpful whenever you need them. One of the place where I actually do not mind leaving tips for them. I cannot recommend this place enough. Must try 5 out of 5!

I came uptown and was recommended this place by an acquaintance!! I ordered soy sauce garlic and red marble, but what the heck.. it was so delicious!!!!!!!!!! It was always difficult to come to Toronto and try a Korean chicken restaurant, but it was so, so delicious!!!! Im happy to have found a chicken restaurant like this in my neighborhood. I think Ill come here often hahaha.

Every time I visit, the staff is very friendly and the food is really delicious. The menu items I would most recommend are fried jinmichae and tteokbokki. My foreign friends also really liked it. Also, the draft is very delicious. May you prosper!!
