Great tasting and good priced food, very fun to grill it yourself. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

First time at Gui Gui to celebrate the holidays with friends and it was such a good experience. Not only is the food amazing but the service is fast and friendly and the ambient is very cozy :)

I went there last week. Food was great and appreaciated their service too. Restaurant wasnt too bust so we were able to get a good spot quickly. Highly recommend this restaurant! I did make a mistake with my tipping and accidentally put an extra 0. I called the restaurant and they were able to refund it to me after a week. Very kind people!

BBQ was fun, just have to be careful not to over cook your skewered meats. All beef, marinated beef, pork, and squid were very tasty. Kimchi fried rice was amazingly good. Parking: Several parking spots hidden behind the restaurant. Make sure to park in the correct lot and not the parking for the neighbouring hair salon. Gravel road entrance to lot is located on Cummer Ave. Youll know that you have the right parking lot as its located down the hill with a narrow tunnel that leads to the front of the building.

The food portions are small and not tasty. Every skewer is very sweet. The kimchi and fish roe bibimbap has no taste. It doesn t feel very fresh and I got diarrhea when I got home after eating it.

Gui Gui is our go to for good Korean style table bbq skewers. It satisfies that craving for meat that s slowly cooked and rotated over a bbq grill :) Our go to is getting the Meal Combo A which comes with 6 meat/seafood skewer options, a noodle/rice dish, a side dish, and a complimentary dish. For the meats (from Meal Combo A), we got the beef skewers, marinated galbi skewers, and sausage and rice cake skewers. All three were delicious. For the complimentary dish (from Meal Combo A), we got Korean soybean stew. You can t go wrong with their good soybean stew. For the side dish (from Meal Combo A), we went with the corn cheese. Corn + cheese = yummy :) For noodle/rice dish (from Meal Combo A), we got the shrimp and egg fried rice. It was perfectly made and delicious. For dessert (from Meal Combo A), we got the pineapple skewers. Normally, it s sweet but this time around a bit on the sour side :( The 4 other side dishes (Sweet and Sour Seaweed Salad, Korean Marinated Cucumber, Iceberg lettuce salad, and Korean japchae) provided were a great complement to the bbq skewered meats :) Heads up, the table is on the small side so table real estate is limited with the variety of dishes that get served to you.

It s the most delicious rib meat I ve ever had in Canada! It also includes bean stew, cheese corn, and steamed egg, so it s cost-effective Parking: Parking available right behind the restaurant!

Saw this place on many IG reels and just wanted to try it out! Was pretty good for the experience, food was really tasty! But the price is slightly more expensive than other BBQ skewer restaurants. We got the combo B which was $100 (4 ppl) It came with 7 diff type of skewers (4 each) and 2 other skewers( 2-4 each). One rice or noodle dish as well as your choice of 3 side dishes. P.S they also had Banchan/mini side dishes like japchae, salad, and seaweed. Unlike most skewer places, you put the skewers in the grill and it ll rotate. It s nice and hot rather pre-cooked. It was a bit chilly as the fan was behind me blowing pretty hard. There s also suppose to be lighting above but there was no light bulb so it was a bit dim. Overall, It s a pretty good deal! I ll definitely come back again!

First time here. Place gets pretty busy during peak times. They are known for their skewers but also do korean bbq. When we went they only had Korean bbq available or wait for the skewers table. We didnt want to wait so we opted for the Korean bbq. I liked the Korean bbqs side dishes. We didnt know how to order the bbq and no real direction was given. We ended up ordering the corn but didnt realize that it was included with the bbq. Staff didnt mention this to us and jostled us order the extra corn on the side. Wouldvehave been nice if they let us know when we were ordering that the Korean bbq comes with the corn. Overall I stoll enjoyed the Korean bbq here even though this place is known for the skewers. Staff could definitely be more helpful and attentive here but it was busy so not sure if that made a difference (but really, it shouldnt). Overall I want to return next time to try the skewers and I do recommend this place to anyone who likes either Korean bbq or Korean bbq skewers to give this place a try! Edit: so I went back to try the skewers and they did not disappoint!! Cool cooking technique as the skewers roll back and forth by themselves and theres a rack to put the cooked food on! I really enjoy the skewers, theres quite a few options to choose from. My favourite was the beef short ribs, they were so flavourful and tender! If I go back I would order just the beef short ribs! Lol. Overall loved the skewers more than the bbq. Will definitely try and come again for more beef skewers!! Such a fun and unique kbbq experience. We wanted to go to Daldongnae initially but wanted to try something new. Turns out they are sister restaurants which explains the interior. We decided to go with Combo A ($64.95) for our group of 4 and went with corn cheese as our complimentary side and selected kimchi fried rice and seafood pancake. Side dishes were spicy cucumber, seaweed and a salad. We asked for refills for the first two sides with no restrictions. Kimchi fried rice was full of flavour and on the spicier side. Seafood pancake was a group favourite. The rotating device for the skewers was pretty cool, even leaving the cooked skewers on the top rack kept it hot to eat later on. Now the kicker of this review: we initially wanted kbbq for dinner but wanted to try the skewers. Thinking that Combo A would be enough to test it out without feeling full, we ordered table bbq (the minimum order) to fulfill our cravings. It ended up being a second dinner and we left the restaurant stuffed. It came with a soup and we barely touched it (still finished the meat though). Overall, Gui Gui is great for a skewers type of dinner or you can opt for their grill top kbbq. If you are interested in both, ordering skewers separately is your best option. They will suggest having the skewers first then kbbq after removing the skewer device. It was a cramped dining experience because of the size of their booths but Gui Gui has probably one of the best customer service in the GTA.

The marinating is not Asian flavor somehow, lack of ingredients. Fun to see the meat stick rolling. Dishes are terrible flavor tho, seems like the cooks are not Korean. Just want to try, will not come back for flavor and also, its kinda far from my house, thats why.

Amazing food, good atmosphere, great service and at an affordable price! Been here a couple of times and will go again in the future. So far we have tried their skewers, tons of side dishes (can we ask for more? not sure) and couple of kimchi fried rice. These are all fantastic! Our most favourites are the Kimchi/Roe Fried Rice and the Small Intestines. We want to try their pork belly BBQ table next time. Highly recommended! Only issue we had last time is the parking in the area. I forgot to ask if there s parking at the back. Had to park a couple of blocks away in the residential area. if you are taking transit, it s pretty easy to go to, there s a couple of bus stops very near the restaurant.

GuiGui was definitely over hyped, there was nothing special about the food, and all the skewers end up tasting the same. The only thing that was really exciting and cool was the rotating cooking machine. You might as well just save your money and go eat Korean Bbq. Or go eat skewers at Chat Bar. Also dont come here with larger groups, they dont have enough seating. Came here with my friends (Group of 10) and we were all squished in the back with our jackets.

If you are a BBQ person beef skewers are good here but chicken and shrimp were tastless. They didnt clean the shrimp vain and did not bring a glass for the beer so you have to drink it from the can it was a bit expensive for this experience

I love this Korean bbq spot, I always get their combo A. SUPER filling for 2 people. Both times I ve went, I had to take the pancake we got home. I think the price for the amount of food and the quality is really good. Our favorites were their spicy lamb and marinated beef skewers. Also really like their spicy cold noodles. Definitely recommend trying. Only downside is there isn t parking so you have to park across the street at a different plaza.

Fun experience with the self grill. Easy to order and constantly add more. Treat this more as a bar with small bites than a sit down restaurant. Although the combo options are quite convenient. Watch out for the minimum order if youre not a big eater

We decided to eat some Korean BBQ for dinner. We came here and got faced with crowds and a short wait time but got placed in a corner with nobody which was extremely considerate and kind of the server. We ordered a combo and the server considered our allergies, and made sure that the person in my table who had allergies would not get a reaction. We enjoyed the food and the mechanism to twist the skewers. The atmosphere was loud and kind of uncomfortable but it was overall great, the food was excellent and the service was as well. They seemed like they care about us.

Went to this local korean skewer place and tried their skewer. The automatic skewer mechine is not a new thing to me. I remembered i went to some chinese place do this couple years ago. Anyway, i really love their skewer, food and all the things included appetizer. It is a very fun night. Only downside for me is table too small, cant fit everything we ordered

This restaurant is really NOT professional. First, I went with my family of 4. My and my mom went to the washroom while the rest of us go inside first to take our tables. After that, we came back and found my familys table, could not expect that one staff on there was told me to get out by really rude way. Our total bill was around $130, we gave them $200, but the lady staff asked us do we need change ? She thought we will give them almost 70% tip for treating us NOT friendly ? After I said of course, She immediately showed attitude and was not friendly with us anymore. I dont know how the restaurant can training their waitress like that. Very upset and never come back or recommend to my friends.

We called to book reservation in the afternoon but they didn t accept when we came and saw a bunch of reserved table. We followed the waiter to a table. We decided to order a bunch of dishes and they told us we could only order five things out of the whole menu becuse of the table we are sitting at and if we wanted to order the rest of the menu we would have had to wait 30 for an other table. We even offer to order 1 of those 5 dishes and wait for 1 of the other table to get the rest of th dishes we wanted but the force us to order one dish per person or go outside to wait in the rain for one of the others table. So we left and WE NEVER COME BACK.

Found this super cute korean bbq place on tiktok and had to go in person. We paid a table price, about $90 (divided by 4 people) which gave us a variety of different meats and side dishes. The food, atmosphere, and customer service were all 10/10. Even though it wasn t all you can eat, the food was super filling. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes korean food and I can t wait to go back again!

Generous portions considered the pricing. Ive been to many skewer places, but the portions are at least twice the amount compared to other places with similar price points. A lot of variety to choose from, and a good choice of side dishes and soups to have with your skewers. Cozy atmosphere and good for groups.

Had late night eats here with a group of friends. Skewers and side dishes were great. The meat was well marinated and delicious. Our only complaint was that the rice cake skewers were extremely hard and not the typical texture of rice cake. We got one of the combos for five people and it was reasonably priced and fed us. The tables are quite small though, we had a group of five and the largest table seems to only really seat 4.

Absolutely amazing! The Korean BBQ is such a delight and the portion is always generous. The staff are extremely attentive to their guest and are always ensuring the safety and happiness of them. The food is actually good, but the service is really disgusting. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday, and we brought a cake. We gave it to the waiter at the beginning and told him we are celebrating a birthday and can you store the cake in the fridge for us. He said yes and took the cake. Towards the end of the dinner, we asked for the cake, and was told that we cannot have it here. I understand that Saturday nights are busy, so they really just wanted to get us out of the restaurant. But if you do not let your customers have cake, you should have notified us earlier. Then the waiter who took the cake actually came and said to us, I heard you say we have a cake, can you store it in the fridge, is that what you said? and then just left, no apologies. So, I guess it is not common sense for people to understand that we brought a cake all the way from home, is to have it here!!! Not just to store it in your fridge for fun? We eneded up having to back home and enjoy the cake. Just very disappointing service and attitude.

It was our first time being at a Korean skewer place and certainly won t be our last! The Combo A was a really good deal. They give you 22 skewers, a stone bowl of rice/noodle, and a side, for $62! The skewers are juicy and marinated well, and the other dishes were great too. They also give you complimentary side dishes, just like any other Korean restaurant, so you re really getting a bang for your buck.

Food is good and it s always fun to watch the skewers turn on the grill. Everything was good, would ve been 5 stars but minor issues like the plate for the turning mechanism was bent so it did not turn properly. Great fun though!

Coming in on a Saturday evening with a large group (13 people), my expectations were low seeing the cozy space full of guests already! My expectations were blown out of the water by the incredible service, portion sizes and flavours! Our server made sure we have everything we ordered and more! We ordered the Combo B between 5 people 3 of which were not heavy eaters but the portions were more than enough to fill us up! The unique cooking method is actually better than your standard asian barbecue methods and is actually a lot easier in the sense where you do not need to be as attentive to the food as it cooks! The skewers themselves were generous individually but also pack with flavours! Our server even brought an extra complementary seafood pancake to each of our tables (3 separate tables)! I would recommend this as a great place for small to medium sized groups as the combos are both efficient and satisfying! If I could give a 6th star in every category I would!

If youre looking for new experience for Korean BBQ, i would recommend this place. Their meat is good, the seasoning pretty spicy. Their side dishes are great, I recommend the spicy squid. The ordering process will confuse you a bit. Everything is good.

Ive been thinking about this spot for a long time, and it did not disappoint. The skewer rotating mechanism is so lit, it provided so much entertainment and as a student studying engineering, it was awe inspiring (which is why I did an entire photoshoot). The marinated galbi beef skewers were also inspiring, the other skewers such as lamb were also great but the galbi beef is a must pick. The sausage and rice cake skewer wasnt bad but could be better. If you are here with just one other person, I recommend buying around 5-7 sets of skewers, and some rice - the sides will supplement the rest. It works out to around $30 each after tax! Combo A is looking kinda nice too, I will return for that. Also the service is good!

Craving Skewers and didnt have any expectations. Pleasantly surprised the selection and meats were tasty. approx. $8 for 4 Skewers. Skewers arent that big but our bill came to about $100 including main dishes and it was more than enough with leftovers for 2 ppl. It was not busy on a Saturday afternoon.

Disgusting Service! I recently visited this Korean restaurant and had an incredibly disappointing experience due to the extremely rude male server. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The server seemed more interested in chatting with a fellow employee than attending to customers. When I tried to get his attention to inquire about a table, he blatantly ignored me and continued his conversation without even acknowledging my presence. It was both frustrating and disrespectful. When I finally managed to ask about a table, the server responded with impatience and rudeness. He made it clear that he was annoyed by my simple inquiry, retorting with, What do you want? I already told you to sign your name, what else do you want? This kind of response is completely unacceptable in any dining establishment. Overall, this has been my worst experience at a Korean restaurant in Toronto. The lack of customer service and the disrespectful attitude of the male server make it impossible for me to recommend this place to anyone. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for future customers.
