This spot was reviewed very well & I have to say I m a little disappointed as I ve never had a shawarma on tortilla bread before so this was a first as it was more like a burrito. Shawarma usually comes on Pita bread or Saj Bread. People are nice & service was good I can t complain about that, but if you are looking for an authentic shawarma wrap experience I would recommend going elsewhere.

On the food alone, I want to give this place 5 stars and Ill be coming back for more. I ordered a beef Shawarma wrap and the owner expressed how they dont buy premade meat spits, they build their own with quality ingredients. As I stopped to eat, we also had a chat discussing politics of the day, how hard its been to be a business owner, and the difficulty of survival for so many. The owner even brought me some baklava. It was homemade and fantastic! Ill be coming back to enjoy every single menu item because my first impression blew my mind. Thank you so much for that chat along with the food!

Stopped by with my fam today and experienced amazing service and theyre very good dealing with kids! They offered my son a homemade cookie and he loved it! We had the chicken and beef shawarma dinner plate and wraps. They were delicious, savoury and fresh...we cleaned our plates!

Drive past this place all the time so decided to give it a try. Clean, convenient parking and seating inside. It just needs a little more pizazz in the food. Ordered the chicken shawarma and it was just ok. Most of the chicken was dry & the wrap became real soggy half way through. I want to try it again with a different meal.

Best arabic restaurant in Toronto

We were here a few weeks ago for dinner. The food was good and the restaurant offered free dessert on the house. Unfortunately we found a little piece of foil in our meal... this was concerning to me as tin foil in food is a food safety hazard. The owners took it very seriously and ensured they had nothing In the kitchen that couldve contributed. They replaced our meal with another meal.

Came in on a Sunday evening and the place looked nice and clean. Service was great but the chicken tasted stale.

I did not like the fact that they put very little amount of meat in the shawarma. 20 $ for shawarma combo should be enough to cover a normal portion of meat.. When asked for extra ketchup for the fries the guy made a comment saying: did you pay extra for this? Really for ketchup? Not sure if he was half joking or serious but regadless its not a way to treat a paying customer. My impression was that this place is trying to give the least for a fairly high price tag which was disappointing. I personally wont come back.

I really wanted to give this place another shot but it just didnt meet the bar. The service is excellent. I didnt like a flavour in one of the dishes and she was very apologetic and swapped out the item. She even offered a free drink to say sorry for the experience. The portion sizes were generous. Perhaps it was just bc I was there after 6pm and the food was fresher earlier in the day, but the chicken you can tell was on a spit and shaved off, but not seperated. I got a strip of meat that was still stuck together and the visual threw me off. The salad was fresh though. This place was ok. It wasnt terrible but not my fav.

Let me just start by saying, this spot is a hidden gem. If you get the chance to stop here, it s a must. The food is incredible!!! My husband and I had a long trip to come out to Toronto (3.5 hours) and we stopped at this spot for a bite. From start to finish the hospitality, great price, the incredible flavors, and atmosphere just exceeded our expectations! We were treated like family! The business is family owned and we were offered to try a sample of the lentil soup which was the best lentil soup I have ever tasted and I come from a middle eastern family so that says a lot about the taste!! We ordered the mixed shawarma wrap combo x2 with garlic sauce & hot sauce which was just the perfect portion of fries and it came with a drink. We also ordered a mixed plate of chicken & beef to take home which looked and smelled incredible. If you are just considering stopping by, look no further because this is the place to go!

the owner and the employees there are very nice and welcoming that it makes you want to eat here. However, unfortunately, the meal i ordered was bad. We ordered a chicken shwarma wrap. The wrap is a decent and filling size. However, there was no spice on the chicken, and it was very greasy. the chicken did not feel like shwarma chicken. They do have a lot of options for toppings for the wrap, which was a nice surprise. I want to go here again to give them another chance because maybe it was an off day for them

This was the 2nd time at Hamov and I have been left feeling amazed by the quality of the food, the friendly family owned staff and the modern atmosphere. The price for the quality of the food is also a big selling point. The first time I had the chicken Shawarma wrap and I have to say it from someone who has tried a lot of shawarma wraps over the years this may be the best one I have ever had. This time we got the mixed shawarma plate and mixed kabob plate for the family and both were excellent. Next time we plan to try to the wood oven shawarma pizza. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys quality middle eastern food. You won t be disappointed. Parking: Free parking lot around the back of the building.

Hamov is one of the better and tastier restaurants Ive been too. Not only is their food delicious, but when you walk in, you feel like part of the family and not only a customer. Ive personally had them cater one of my personal private events and there are no complaints whatsoever I can think of. The food was outstanding and the service was amazing as well! At the end of the event, i even approached one of the owners to give my gratitude for such an amazing job they did! I dont usually do these kind of reviews but this was well needed and well deserved. Whether you walk in for a quick bite of home-made style food or a delicious piece of baklava or whether you get a plate or platter to go or even cater them for your events, I cannot recommend them enough for your next stop for food! You wont regret it!

Hamov Fine Food is amazing!! I went here for the first time this week, and everything is SO tasty, and made fresh on site. I know that because the people who work there are wonderful and were telling me about each item! It is 100% worth a trip, and I will be back! I had the beef and chicken plate, and they had a sample of their lentil soup and handmade pita chips which were a 10/10. I really loved their pickled cabbage. The whole experience was an 11/10!! OH, and the garlic sauce?? You HAVE to try the garlic sauce. It might just be the best i ve had.

I went there for the first Time and I was not happy at alllllll portions were not good enough and it was way over priced I ordered 2 mix plates and a pistachio milk cake and I got charged $67.95 . When I went home and calculated the whole meal including tax should not have been more than $55 so what was the additional $13 bucks for ??? AND ON TOP OF IT THE BEEF WAS SOOOOOO DRY AND OLD I used to work at shawarma restaurants in the past and I know a good shawarma but this was not good and over priced DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE

I ve tried many shawarma restaurants, and Hamov is on my Top 5. Most shawarma sit heavy after you eat, but the way they make the pita is amazing. Very light, nice and flaky and well toasted. Chicken was flavourful along with the vegetables. I definitely recommend this place to any one. Good prices as well. I will be coming back.

The chicken shawarma wrap here is a must try! What makes this place stand out is their attention to detail. Let me explain how they do all the little things that most places often overlook. I just can t promise that your mouth won t be watering by the time you re done reading this! First, they start with cutting the chicken fresh off the rotisserie spit and throwing it on to the flat top which gets you some nice crispy bits, but also makes the chicken nice and hot in the wrap. No precooked chicken being scooped out of a hot steamer tray here lol. While that s frying away, they start to prepare the wrap starting with this uniquely thin, but surprisingly sturdy wrap. No need to worry about a messy dripping wrap falling apart half way through your meal. Next, the hummus and veggies are thoughtfully spread evenly throughout the wrap, so you don t find yourself eating all the tomatoes in your wrap after only two bites into the thing lol. Then, the sizzling chicken gets placed generously on top of the veggies. Followed by a beautiful drizzle of the typical shawarma garlic sauce, tahini, and hot sauce. Not done yet though the wrap is then carefully and properly wrapped to ensure it holds everything together. It s not like some other spots that just rush and mindlessly roll it into a paper wrapper without any thought. Last, but not least, the wrap is put on the flat top and flattened ever so slightly so that more of the wrap gets toasted. This is done on both sides of the wrap, and it gives it a beautiful crisp texture to bite into! It took more time to prepare, but it is really worth the wait! I know I m only talking about a chicken shawarma wrap here lol, but it honestly was really good! I have Johnny (hope I spelled that right) to thank for the great first time experience. Really friendly and welcoming guy, always looking to make sure his customers are well taken care of. Look forward to coming back here soon!

I didnt know what to expect walking in place but I was pleasantly surprised. This staff are so friendly and the food is to die for they really take the time to make their food right and it is absolutely delicious. The owner brought out fresh hummus and pita chips for us while we waited for our food. They didnt have to do that but they definitely went to the extra mile to make sure we were very happy. I would recommend this place over and over. Please check it out. They are awesome!

For those that come to Yorkdale to spend their day, walk a little further to Hamov to get your shawarma lunch/dinner. Much better than Yorkdale food court shawarma. Their chicken is juicy unlike the dried kind they have in Osmows. Absolutely worth the extra walk.

Honestly I came in, and I wanted pizza however there was a person working on 11/12/2023, and honestly what can I say the food is fresh the veggie is fresh, and they gave me a same of their hamov, and all I can say is that this place is fantastic they deserved a bigger clinetal, and people should come eat their food they put extreamly care for their customers, and food I will be sure to come on back, and have more of their food unbeatable prices, and there a great card shop here too I hardly ever give places 10/10 however this place is a big miss if you dont try their food you must come at least once to experience this place yourself.

This was one of the best experiences I had eating middle eastern cuisine ! Johnny made me the most amazing chicken Tikka dish and the service was astonishing. I was amazed of how clean the establishment was. This is the closest to home comfort cooking food you can get. Highly recommend eating here !

Wraps are fantastic!! This is such a hidden gem. Love their pita, very different compared to other shawarma places. Ask for lunch special on weekdays. Buy one wrap, get 2nd 50% off.
