The only question that pops into my mind every time I try the IKEA restaurant is whether it is 100 percent Swedish in terms of its menu offerings. If the answer is yes, then I feel sorry for the Swedish people.

I regularly visit and shop at the Vaughan branch. I visited this branch last year, and this was my second visit here. The variety and availability of small kitchen items were better than at the Vaughan branch, but the organization and overall discipline were considerably worse. It was also too crowded. I ll stick to my usual branch.

Terrible experience attempting to return my mattress. Very disappointed. The manager was very rude, the manager had the discretion to return our money to us but outright refused it. IKEA you ve lost a long time customer.

They closed the line at 7:54 p.m. and didn t allow a woman to purchase dinner. When she resisted and refused to leave, security forcefully detained her. They were supposed to admit people until 8 p.m., and their treatment of a lone woman simply trying to get a meal was unacceptable.

Easy. Simple and cheap. Line up can be long, but it moves along pretty fast.

Stay away in weekend if possible.

$9 for a full dinner is pretty good even though youre in a cafeteria

You must understand that the Ikea restaurant is a unique experience unlike your typical meal out. It is a cafeteria style setting, with fabulous food. Personally, I LOVE being able to pop in for lunch during the work week. The food is always what I expected. And sometimes there are surprises. Bonus points for being able to walk through afterwards and pick up something necessary or even just fun!! Vegetarian options: I havent tried, but they are there! Kid-friendliness: Absolutely!! Highchairs provided. Fun food. Kid sized servings. And colourful noises!!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators and wide aisles!! Accessible Parking too

Always a great deal! Staff are friendly and clearly enjoy their job. Clean and warm food with generous portions. (Just never ask yourself why I am getting food from a furniture store).

used to love this place, but came here today and got served everything in paper bowls, paper cutlery - what happened to the reusable utensils and bowls they had? How do you eat soup with a paper spoon? Portions were smaller too, and quality went down. Sad to see ikea lower their standards like everyone else.

This place is not managed really well,utensils are not ready to use all the time

I love Ikea, I shop in all countries and travel. But in Canada and America they are different, according to the requirements of life in these countries

Delicious food for amazing price. The only thing is it can be a bit complicated to navigate the entrance but otherwise good selection of dishes, of course we all got the meatballs which never disappoint. I also highly recommend their veggie medallion. The drinks are free-refill so definitely worth it. Just before the checkout you can also get their swedish meatballs frozen in bulk. After the checkout theres another snack area where they sell poutine, hotdog and ice cream. Their strawberry ice-cream is more fruity rather than a creamy strawberry ice cream. Their poutine was really good too.

The lady at Line 1 serving meatballs was very impolite. I wasnt sure about the difference between plain meatballs and a set, and she just kept repeating the question loudly 8 plains or 8 sets? , apparently this is not an appropriate response to customers who struggle. Please fire her.

Food is always OK at Ikea, so no complaints but had little bitter experience with cashier. We just took some onions on poutine and she insisted we should pay for whole salad. Vegetarian options: Veggie balls, poutine, garlic bread etc

We visited on a very busy Saturday at lunch time. Staff was friendly, fast, and professional. Food was good.

Everything OK in contexts of Canada but I think still there are scope for improvement in service of IKEA standards in European territory. Vegetarian options: Salad with other vegetarian options available. Parking: Weekend and holiday have rush in parking at peak hours. Didnt see any digital available parking spots indicators which is an standard in many IKEA stores. Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

The food is above average. I walked into the restaurant for lunch not having breakfast, so I was quite hungry. Enjoyed the salmon fillet with vegetables and rice. The restaurant was slightly crowded and finding a table took a while. Parking: There are multiple lanes for parking. I went on a Sunday afternoon and found that a number of spots were already taken. After a quick 5 minute search I was able to find a spot for myself. I was told that it gets busy only over weekends.

Way too busy in weekend with unpleasant staff directing the crowd.

The food is not cheap. Staff are not very friendly and rush you to the point that you feel nervous.

Love the Swedish Restaurant, LOL! Just being honest....I think the rush is more in the restaurant, especially you will be lucky to find a place. But of course, you will always end up in buying! The atmosphere, parking space, location by 401 is a good experience. IKEA, its a high time to switch to QR Code instead hanging tag on display product. Will save you lot of time, effort and align you with changing world. All in all, trip to IKEA at least twice a year is must :D

Went on a Saturday for breakfast so it was very busy and noisy as usual. Self service cafeteria style but the price is the cheapest Ive seen for what you get, but only until 11 AM when it switches to lunch menu. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available and kids utensils.

Good food for good value. Fed my family of 5 for under $50. We got there closer to close so some items were sold out, but we all found something we loved. Free coffee and juice/pop refills is a bonus. The sitting area was large and spaced out well. The restaurant was full, but we didnt feel crammed in.

We had basically had all Swedish cuisine there. The food was totally bland as it was meant for expatriates and not Indians. However enjoyed the meatballs, mashed potatoes, Buttered green peas( they had lost green color), Fish and chips, a few desserts and salads & tea. It was on 18th June, 2023 to be exact. Absolutely self - service.we had to pick up the food and push the food - laden trolley to our seats and after eating, we push the trolley back with the food debris and plates to the designated area, to be disposited for wash. P .S. I wanted to sample the classic Potato and Anchovy Casserole but didnt see it on their menu. Vegetarian options: There are of course. We had desserts also. Kid-friendliness: Its self - service. Wheelchair accessibility: I could see that but cant talk about with authority.

Always fun to bring the kids out to the IKEA diner for breakfast and then a walk around through the store to burn off the calories and get their little legs all tired out! lol

You have to go there a couple of times in order to understand how the self serve works.

They give 50% off for all meals on Thursdays until the 31st of August if you have an Ikea membership card. It s free to sign up! We came at around 1pm and the lineup was about 70+ people long and the staff did an extraordinary job directly lines and customers. The lineup moved fast and we were only waiting for around 10-15 minutes. Totally worth visiting for.

It seems like racism is everywhere, especially when its reversed. I went in with my spouse and a friend helping us buy a new kitchen and appliances. To get sales help took 45 minutes because of a personal Conversation of people from the same region in Hong Kong that wasnt buy, then I asked if they could call another associate they then told me that his area was theyre area. I mentioned that we were waiting for 20 minutes at that point then they carried on with there conversation. We went to the eating area and a small Asian woman came up to me asked me how am I paying?? I wasnt even at the cash yet... During this spanish inquisition Because no one expects the Spanish Inquisition...!!! She looking over my/ trays in a gaspoto manner. At that point I shoved the tray to her and said Bon Appetit since your sooooo curious about our food.. take it. We all left.. I called to make a complaint and Low and Behold my VM went missing.. So Ikea North York seems to be only for Asian people. As clearly shown by the Asian workers. Maybe in Indo China that works but not here. We eventually went to the 400 and hwy 7 location and got our kitchen there where the staff is great. The managers there hear our story and confirm that they hear bad stuff about the North York location Weekly. Maybe they ( Ikea) should move it to Durham..like Bowmanville.

Had meat balls, garlic bread, and two cakes, one of them, chocolate cake. All fairly good. One negative with the eatery is the time it takes to pay, it is ridiculous! To pay is basically the only service IKEA offers.

In this economy, the price they offer is really good. The food is good , like 3 star but def worth the price. Meat balls and veggie balls both are good. Vegan balls are ok. Salmon and fish & chips are must have, there desserts are good.

We looked around to get our steps in, had lunch with mom, bought pillows and covers that were on sale, and loved the ginger cookies there, so we bought a big box of them!

Free coffee and tea for IKEA Family members everyday !! Avoid weekends all time, and avoid weekdays lunch and dinner time. The cafeteria food order lines and the cashier lines are very long, and cafeteria tables and seats are all occupied at those busy time mentioned above.

A taste of Sweden. The salmon gravlax is awesome Parking: Parking is easily available depending on the time of day. We have been there twice during lunch hour and didnt struggle with parking. Kid-friendliness: Ikea is a kid friendly place.

Prices keep going up but the food isnt necessarily improving or evolving. They could certainly upgrade their menu in certain items. It is nice to see that they now have liquor license to sell beer and wine. Who doesnt like some Tipsy shopping LOL

Had a great time at the IKEA restaurant! It was my first time there and the service was straight forward and excellent. Everyone on duty looked happy to be there and the atmosphere was very positive. The food tasted great and was reasonably priced! Their meatballs live up to the hype. Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian salads and sandwiches available to buy. Parking: There were tons of parking spots around the IKEA. Plenty of shaded parking spots right near the entrance too. Kid-friendliness: They have baby chairs available in the dining area

Kids meal is pretty decent value! Family card gets you a free coffee. The poutine is actually quite good. Small size is enough for 1 person.

Used to come here with the kiddos after a shop at Ikea! Havent been for a long while, but enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
