Kevin's Taiyaki in North York

I purchased a bagged taiyaki at 11:37a and it was hard and dry. Must have been day old. I was so disappointed.

Always a must when hitting up galleria supermarket! The taiyaki scan be seen freshly made here and such a cool process watching it unfold The taiyaki is nice and crispy on the outside and I always have a soft spot for the custard and red bean fillings The custard itself is nice and creamy with a light yet texture but a little thicker consistency, just the way I like! Best tasting when it’s warm and fresh and to keep that warmth, once it’s freshly made, it’s gets moved to an oven warmer to maintain the heat of the taiyaki So awesome that galleria has partnered with them so that it so easily accessible to grab these delicious treats! The other thing to pick up is the hodu kwaja, which we lucked out and got there as the employee was putting out the fresh ones! Super soft and tasty! Amazing Taiyaki!! The red bean filling was a generous portion and very fresh. The dough was soft and chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It tastes best hot, but you can also freeze it for later and it still is really good. They also sell custard taiyaki and rice cakes. Definitely recommend this place!

Excellent dessert! I am partial to the custard filled cake that is shaped like a fish. They are especially great when warm and fresh. But are still very nice cold or heated up. Red bean is also nice.
