I went in the restaurant the door was not lock, I went inside and wanted to ask to borrow the washroom, since there was nobody in the lobby I went into the washroom. And the owner came ask me for 20 bucks with bad attitude. And told me that this is not for public, I told him that I m just borrowing the washroom. I don t understand how this store with this kind of management still exist. And the end I brought a can of sprite for 5 bucks. If I m not in rush, i wouldn t pay anything and would ask him to call the police if he does not let me go.

It is a nice and spacious restaurant. But their food was not that great .

Wonderful place.

We organized an event for 60 of our Alumni at Laras. The restaurant provided us with a private area, and the service and food were fantastic. Generous portions and a great variety. Highly recommended.

I attended a birthday party at Lauras. The venue was clean and well maintained.. The food was delicious and presented very beautifully. Our service was decent. I would recommend this place for a gathering. The cost in my opinion was very high considering what you get but over all it was a positive experience.

We were there as a guests in a wedding party. The beef was so dry and tasteless . They have to improve their food quality . Im sure many of those wedding guests will not go there again...

Poor quality food , the main dish meat was burnt , the kofta was very salty , appetizers was ok not bad but overall wasn t the greatest experience.

Terrible experience

The owner was very difficult when making arrangements. He was also very rude and overcharged us a lot! He needs to improve his customer service! Also the food was very mediocre in comparison to various other banquet halls such as the Royal Venetian!

Surprisingly this place is still open. Completely tone deaf, unprofessional, and machista owner. Blatant discrimination as he treats people from his ethnic background (Armenian) better than the rest of customers (hence the only good reviews he gets). Do yourself a favor, and dine/book events at other Middle Eastern/Armenian establishments. The food here is at best sub-par. There are plenty of other Middle Eastern restaurants, with great customer service, decent human beings who run the establishment honestly. Those places deserve your hard earned money, time, and business, rather than this sorry excuse for a restaurant.

They have my favourite beef tenderloin! Its so soft and incredibly well seasoned. I could probably eat a whole serving myself. I also love their pastries, especially the custard filled one (forgot what theyre called but theyre amazing). Although Ive only ever done take-outs, the foods freshly made and always consistent. Will have to try out more of their stuff soon!

I did my daughters Baptism party at Laras restaurant. The service was more than great. Since I booked the event, Lena answered all my inquiries and helped out in organizing the place the way I want. The food was great as well. So thanks to all Laras restaurant team.

Laras Restaurant was amazing. The owners were very accommodating to our needs. We had our Bay Fairview Christmas Party here and everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and more than sufficient. Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone. We will definitely be back. 2023 update Had an absolute fantastic time at Laras once again for our annual Holiday Party. They were very accommodating to us. Helped us plan a menu that was within our budget and helped us find a DJ who was amazing and had the people on the dance floor. If they will have us we would definitely be back next year.

Came for an event. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very nice, if a bit outdated. Very clean as well.

We hosted our wedding rehearsal in September 2021 here after a friend highly recommended this delicious restaurant. We had an amazing experience and the owners are accommodating and passionate! Would highly recommend this place to dine in or host a dinner.

The food here was amazing! Taste was really good. We did attend an event here so not sure what normal portion/value is, but staff servicd was great and I would definitely come back for a regular dining experience or takeout.

Great food friendly staff worth the visit.

The owner is rude and made several of my guests feel uncomfortable. I paid per person for the dishes however it ended up just being a shared meal that was brought out causing people not to even get their meal. Rice was served in tiny dishes. The food was cold, I paid an open tab for a bar which I don t even know what was on it, he gave me no bill just made up an amount. I was so embarrassed that I just wanted to get out of there. I ordered kabobs, we got kufta- disgusting. Please do not embarrass yourself and host an event here. This was my first and last time.

How are they still in business? Awful. Chicken; unbearable, embarrassingly tough and odd like rubber, so salty it ll dry your mouth, no flavour, accompanying sauce was sweaty. It did not appear as if it were chicken. Fish; no meat, no flavour, just skin, bone and a head. Fatoush; croutons were stale, salad was drenched with mediocre sauce. Tenderloin; had an after taste, very gritty to the point where I had to spit some out. Rice; overcooked and bland, absolutely flavourless. Lebne; tasteless. The only thing that was good was the pickles/tourshu. La grille and lavash are far better. EVEN paramount. Do not recommend, never going back.

Starters are good, but the entré was served late so we were not able to eat much.

Lara s restaurant is a hidden gem !!! I had been on a search for a nice place to have our company Christmas party and I happen to come across Lara s restaurant. Prime location close to Fairview mall and close to the 404 and DVP. I spoke to the owner regarding my party and dates and they were super accommodating, giving me everything I wanted for a amazingly reasonable price . They owners are amazing and completely exceeded all my expectations and not just me but everyone of my coworkers. One week after our Christmas party and, we are already planning our next party at Lara s. Harold the bar tender was so nice and so much fun, he truly made our night that much more fun. Highly highly recommended!!! 1. Food - AMAAAAAAAZING 2. Service - Impeccable, super accommodating , friendly and professional. 3. Venue - suitable for any kind of event 4. July 2021 - Went again after a full year. Amazing as usual. Had the fattoush salad with beef tenderloin. Excellent dressing, pita bits and tender beef chunks. July 2020 - Delicious, large portioned food and excellent service. Ill be back again.

Went here for a friend s wedding and was surprised with how beautiful the interior is. I should ve taken photos of the food but we had diff kinds of humus, pita, falafel, beef and chicken kabobs, etc. I m used to wedding venues not having the best food but the food here tasted great! Everyone at my table was also saying the same thing.

Food is ok. A lot of frying/oil in some dishes. The preset menu pricing isnt a savings; even as a larger group, we would have been better ordering individual items. For what we got, we definitely overpaid.

Best chicken shish tawook that is wonderfully charred to perfection, delicious and healthy fattoush salad with toasted pita chips with paprika. Friendly service, and clean. A wonderful Armenian and Middle East restaurant.

What kind of restaurant are you running here? 1st on the weekends you offer breakfast that we can t even order on skip or Uber until 1 pm, then when we see on skip that you are open when I order you don t confirm the order. 2nd your only open from Thursday to Sunday from certain times? Like really? Why open at all? Not only this really makes you look bad but you just lost a customer. This is not Lebanon when you can be open when ever you want. At a time like this you should be open 6 days a week to break even, I will NEVER recommend your restaurant to anyone ever again.

Best Mediterranean restaurant in GTA, great food and great service

Food wasn t good and customer service was abysmal.

Absolutely floored by the taste, portion sizes and incredible middle eastern hospitality. Authentic as it gets. Tastefully done interiors and spacious patio gives an enjoyable ambience for a relishing finie dining experience for all group sizes.

I have taken my team here to enjoy a meal. Both the service and the food were outstanding! The owners are fantastic and made us feel very welcomed. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Middle Eastern experience! Will definitely be back again. Thank you for an incredible evening and for being such gracious hosts!

The owner operator has gotten snottier and more stuck up with every passing year. Prices have gone up. Food quality is decent at best nothing special. They are using cheapest quality red turnips(PINK)..the olives are ultra salty which they need to change and the pickles are so so and also very salty..these little things make a difference. They should be buying using the premium commercial mixed pickles from Turkey..Not the garbage arabic middle eastern ones. night and day flavour and quality! The place doesnt have a very exciting ambience unless its a banquet event or something..

We recently hosted my baby shower here for ~90 guests and Im so glad we chose Laras! It was beautiful and only needed minimal decoration from our end. The food was delicious - generous portions that were refilled promptly when guests asked. The service was amazing on the day of - the staff were accommodating and kind. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you Laras for such a memorable day!
