Tried Mang Mar’s for the first time (since I was craving Filipino food) and it did not disappoint! I ordered the pork belly and large sisig - both were really good! The portions were bigger than what I expected, which was great. The prices are reasonable and not too expensive. Service was quick since it’s a take out place only. And when you order the pork belly, they ask you what your preference is (more meat, fat, crispy etc.) which I thought was really nice. Would come back here again!
I recently tried chicharon and letchon kawali, and they were absolutely fantastic. The crunch was perfect especially when paired with vinegar dip. and all the staff were friendly. I highly recommend.
Bookmarked for the chicharon, but coming back for the goat kaldereta AND the chicharon AND the lechon kawali. Do not sleep on the goat kaldereta!!! We were going to order beef but so happy we got to try the goat version today. Spice level, depth of the sauce, the veggies including the olives, peas, carrots, potatas… wow. Lumpiang shanghai is great for a party - nice size, packed with meat, two-bites, not too small. I wish I had pictures but we ate everything so fast! New favourite Filipino spot in North York. Great value for amazing items
Best Chicharon I've had in a long time. Ordered enough on Tuesday to last for couple days, now it's Friday and none left 😞. It's sooo good I cherish it and have 4 or 5 pieces a day Yum 😋. So I'm back tomorrow for more. Friendly service with a friendly smile. Perfect Zero Carb snack , appetizer or even a meal. Highly recommend.Thank you Mang Mar. ❤️
We were passing to return Uhaul and we just sae this restaurant. So, ordering a side dish or sweet that I am not sure 🤭. But definitely it was so good.
Since finding Mang Mar's through Uber eats, I find myself ordering almost weekly. I love snacking my way through the weekend on their delicious fried treats. No matter what I order, I'm always happy. Their chicken chicharron is my personal favourite, but everything here is such great value for really comforting food.
We tried the “TikTok Chicharon” for the very first time, ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. We ordered it from Uber and we’re a little far so it took about 55 minutes but the chicharon was still hot and crispy and delicious. Was only sad they didn’t have guacamole (or don’t provide it with it at all) but the meat is perfect. THANK YOU. This is THE SPOT for the best Chicharon hands down.
The chicharron tasted much better than the crispy pata. It was fresher tasting whereas the crispy pata tasted like it was cooked another day and re-fried. For $5 for the chicharron and $15 for the crispy pata, you are getting a much better deal with the former. I wish they had liver sauce but perhaps that isn't the traditional way to serve these. The lady I dealt with that day could have been more friendlier. I'd return but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Dinakdakan too oily and not grill like its sisig with big slices. And the meat is too tough. It wasnt like this the last time I bought. Its a sad end of the day food

The food was ok, really small portion of meat and vegetables however especially for $12. The snacks were amazing however and Ill definitely be xoming back for a 1.99 treat.

Ordered chicharon bulaklak and its not good or tasty like what I usually have from other resto. Also very expensive for that small quantity.
I just need to add another review here Mang mars is the best place to go to I will recommend their food especially dinakdakan,sinigang na baka,kare kare,dinuguan,and ginataan kalabas I just wanna say to all staff of this place you guys are the best! I love ordering here via uber eats, food is very good with reasonable price. And also friendly staff everytime i have concerns before placing order via online they will help me out

I come here for lunch. Very good combos available here. The food is cooked fresh daily and is very delicious. Ita about 12-15 for a combo with 2 options and they give a generous portion.

SENSITIVE TO SEED OILS???? Fyi THEY USE VEGETABLE OIL TO FRY THEIR CHICHARONES. flavor is great but why ruin it by frying it in vegetable oil?! Dietary restrictions: If you are on a CARNIVORE, and or LOW HISTAMINE diet. NOTE THIS they fry and cook their items in vegetable oil.

My husband picked up the large $25. order of pork rinds. We have eaten these for 60 years from German bakeries and Portuguese bakeries which usually salt them too heavily and they are too greasy. These are by far, the best we have ever had. Crunchy perfection.

Absolutely love the juicy delicious pork served here! Ive never been to the Philippines and have never tried their traditional food before so I dont have anything to compare it to, but I will be very disappointed if when I go it doesnt taste EXACTLY like this.

You come for the chicharon (delicious!), but give their sisig a try as well, which is meatier than others I ve tried and probably the best sisig I ve ever had.
I love their Chicharon and they have crispy chicken skin too. They also sell filipino food like dinuguan.
BEST CHICHARON IN THE CITY...
delicious food and clean area
Originally went to get a box of chichiron as it s on their store name, but ended up ordering some kare kare too. I don t have a whole lot experience with Filipino food, but have to say both dishes were excellent for the price . The chichiron was outstanding as expected, it s crispy even after sitting in the car and at home for 3-4 hours , and it doesn t have that porky smelly stench I usually associate with pork skin, so I think the preparation was outstanding . The kare kare was outstanding too, could taste the different cuts of meat and tendon I believe is in it, all cooked to very soft. The sauce was excellent too and flavorful, but what made it even better was the side sauce that I think has shrimp paste in it. Those together with rice was an excellent combo . Would drive out of my way just for the chicharon

I love the chicharon, and the beef caldereta. My only issues with sisig was too much onions everytime I order it, its like more onions than the meat. My guest cant even eat because it was way too much onion. When I pick on the onions my sisig meat is way to less its like sisig onions instead of the sisig meat.

Priced right and the chicharon is the best in Toronto. Reminds me of Lapids in the philippines. If you buy chicharon, pair it with their vinegar. Also if youre buying a big tray of chicharon, make sure you call atleast a day before coz if you dont, you may not be able to get em as they are made fresh everyday in limited quantities.

I am pretty sure this is Torontos best-kept culinary secret. I sampled many Filipino dishes from dinuguan to chicharon to homemade vinegar concoctions and each one was worthy of five stars. The lechon kawali will make you forget every other pork belly product you have ever eaten before in your life, including bacon. It is that good. I would go.
