first Dizi sara in Toronto.Persian traditional foods.
One of the best culinary experiences I have had in months. This is a cozy little restaurant run by a husband and wife team. The food is outstanding and the service and atmosphere are personable...
My friends and I recently visited Mr. Dizzy at Finch. We were welcomed with a small bowl of soup, which was great and a nice start to the meal. We ordered the dizzy and Vaziri kebab; while the rice tasted great, the kebab itself was quite tasteless. Additionally, the bread served with the dizzy was spoiled, which was disappointing. The atmosphere felt old and not particularly welcoming. Overall, it’s not a place I’d consider returning to, but the experience was acceptable.
It’s amazing , the gentleman served us was very polite and friendly. The food was very delicious. We ordered gormeh sabzi and kobideh kabob . I highly recommend it. This restaurant have wonderful cashier.
Large servings and great quality. Also their prices are very cheap for the portions you get.
The food was absolutely fantastic, the over experience was really good. I went there two days in a row, and while the prices were a bit too high, it’s still a great treat occasionally.
We stopped at this place on our way back from the waterpark. My spouse got a very authentic lamb dish that he said he normally can't get at other Persian restaurants. I wasn't that hungry so i ordered the grape leaves and tea. The server was polite and attentive. The food was very good and my spouse was in heaven. We're glad we stopped here and would definitely recommend to other people.
We tried it for the first time and were excited to see some interesting options on the menu which you don’t get anywhere else. We got ghorme sabzi and Dizi kask ( they ran out of Boz bash) and got our food relatively fast. Service was great but we noticed that rice and the crispy part at the bottom (tahdig) was soggy giving us the impression that it wasn’t freshly made and was merely heated. Nevertheless food was delicious.
Mr. Dizi is a small hidden gem that transports you straight to the heart of Persia with its warm hospitality and authentic flavors. From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an ambiance that is both inviting and charming. The decor features traditional elements that create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. The menu is a culinary journey through the diverse regions of Iran, showcasing a variety of dishes that are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques. The appetizers are a delightful medley of flavors and textures, from the creamy lentil soup and grape leaves filled with rice to the tangy torshi (pickles) and shirazi salad. For the main course, I highly recommend the signature dizi, a hearty stew slow-cooked in a clay pot with tender lamb, chickpeas, potatoes, and a fragrant tomato broth. The koobideh kabob, a succulent skewer of minced meat seasoned with saffron and onions, is another must-try. The portions are generous, ensuring that you leave feeling satisfied and content. The service at Mr. Dizi is nice and friendly . The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to share their passion for Persian cuisine. They are happy to guide you through the menu and recommend dishes based on your preferences. In conclusion, Mr. Dizi is a culinary haven for those seeking an authentic Persian dining experience. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and charming ambiance makes it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. Whether you are a seasoned foodie or a curious newcomer, Mr. Dizi will surely leave a lasting impression on your taste buds and your heart.
Super great place with very delicious foods.
Hello, if eating garkar money makes you richer, then eat it and see the consequences.
Our recent experience was horrible at Mr. Dizi, few nights ago. The food did not taste natural and it was like they used chemicals to cook the meat. Despite repeated attempts to get the waiters attention, the service was unresponsive. Additionally, the restroom was in poor condition and did not meet basic cleanliness standards.
Awesome
Its a little pricey but food is excellent The average price is 21 not bad. Food
Seasonings werent on the table, the food was kinda bland, they pretty much charge you for the smallest things like 1 slice of lemon. I would come again tho, the Spicy Dizi was fire. Food
Expensive for the portion of the food
The best Persian restaurant in the city. Their kababs are out of this world + the rice has a lovely tahdig as well.
I liked the food, portion, price and mood. It was a small restaurant but nice caring staff. The Dizi is tasty. Koobideh is juicy and soft. The most positive point was how hot all of them served.
Every things are perfect food service and the lady all are good , thanks Mr Dizi for friendly atmospher
Very disappointed with the inconsistent hours of this restaurant. They randomly closed at 9 PM!
I I got Jojeh Kabab and lamb chops , highly recommend this small and cozy place
Perfect Persian cuisine, great service
Best quality Persian food
Wonderful place wonderful people just a great place to be!
If you are looking for a great Dizi here is the place
OK
The best and mildest pork belly I have ever eaten It was great great Thank you for the quality of the food and the cozy and warm environment
This morning, I went to this restaurant and ordered a dish called Kale Pache. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, which made me feel well taken care of. But what really impressed me was the outstanding quality of the food. The Kale Pache was fresh and cooked to perfection. The mild and delicious flavors, combined with the carefully selected spices and seasonings, created a unique and memorable taste. Both the freshness of the ingredients and the cooking method exceeded my expectations. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The inviting ambiance, the professionalism of the staff, and most importantly, the amazing taste of the Kale Pache made me want to return for sure.
We arrived at the restaurant expecting it to be open until 11 PM, as listed on Google. However, to our surprise, they closed the restaurant at 9 PM right in front of us saying tonight they close at 9. This was really frustrating since we had planned our evening based on the information available online. It would be helpful if the restaurant updated their hours accurately to avoid inconveniencing customers.
Quality of the dizi has decreased significantly. Halim was below average Zaban was below average Recommended dishes Haleem
Best dizi in Toronto, I love it
The food was delicious and tasty.
The restaurant is very beautiful and with a very intimate environment. My friend and I enjoyed the restaurant food thank you Mr.Dizi
This feels like home..
Good food good service
I really enjoy the experience at this place. Food is good price is very fair and atmosphere is nice as well. The bench outdoor is very cozy.
Delicious food and great hospitality. Highly recommended.
The food is bomb and the staff is so kind and helpful truly one of the best Persian restaurants I ve tried!
Excellent food, outstanding service, fabulous ambience. Ms. Parnia! Thank you for superb attention to details and creating such an amazing experience for our family. We will definitely come back
Truly recommend this restaurant it was our first experience in there and we loved the food and hosting everything was perfect Thank u! Food
High quality food and great service. Absolutely recommend it., Parking: Free and available parking. Kid-friendliness: Safe area for kids
What a sweet couple and the food was remarkable. One of the beat stews I ever had
Very thing was nice, the food was just right cooked not too much not raw. Thanks Food
I would have give -10 stars if the option was available! My visit to Mr. Dizi Restaurant was disappointing. The managements rude behavior towards customers and their own staff was shocking, and the service was abysmal and food was awful. I wont be returning. Food
Awesome food! Amazing owner
Amazing place!! Amazing Dizi and great staff!! HIGHLY recommend this place
Proper TV Series,
nice cozy restaurant. excellent service, great food. the inside needs some improvement, though. Parking: plenty of free parking. Kid-friendliness: kid safe
I think the broth and heart and liver are good But the shishlik was actually a kebab shank rather than a shishlik, its shank was more than its meat! Halim looked like anything but Halim! No meat! No, it was cooked well It was like a series!
Very kind staff
Simply the best Iranian food I have ever had definitely worth our drive and wish we could take the restaurant with us to Ottawa. Everything was fresh and can t complement them enough
The management at this restaurant is extremely unprofessional, with rude attitudes. The space is also very small, uncomfortable, Highly disappointed.
The manager was extremely rude and bad-mannered, which made the overall dining experience quite unpleasant
The management practices at this restaurant are unprofessional and troubling. They do not respect employee rights and treat staff unfairly.
Stepping into mr dizi felt like entering a culinary oasis of Persian delights. The flavors were rich and authentic, the service impeccable, and every dish from their aromatic saffron rice to the tender kebabs left a lasting impression.
The management team are unprofessional people! The food is awful! Will never go back!
I love the food it was amazing and it was serviced fast and well overall the food tasted amazing and I plan on going back
I loved the atmosphere and the design of the restaurant the food was also amazing and I liked koobide kabob the most.
I went here with my friends and got a lot of food we all loved the food and the design also the waitress was very nice to all of us.
The way this restaurant is managed is pretty unprofessional and worrying. They don t seem to care about employee rights and often treat the staff unfairly. On top of that, the manager was extremely rude and bad-mannered, which made the whole dining experience quite unpleasant.
I loved the food very much I came here with my family and we got kobideh and barg it was delicious and we all enjoyed it.
The worst food quality, very poor management and bad manners, I got poisoned after eating the food , I will never go there again.
Worst restaurant ever. The staff were disrespectful and the food was really bad. even a first time cooking man can cook better.
I had an incredible experience at MrDizi! It was absolutely delightful, with rich, aromatic flavors that transported me straight to Iran. The kebabs were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the saffron rice was a fragrant, colorful accompaniment. The service was warm and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the Fesenjan and the Ghormeh Sabzi; both were standout dishes. A true culinary gem that Ill definitely be visiting again!
MrDizi offers an unforgettable Persian dining experience! The flavors were rich and authentic, with each dish showcasing the culinary artistry of Persian cuisine. MrDizi is a true gem for Persian food lovers! Check it out
Me and my wife travel over an hour to come eat here once every 2-3 months. The food is the most authentic persian food i ve had the chance of buying, on this side of the world. Their large home made pitcher of Doogh is far more delicious than the little bottles they sell anywhere else, i just wish that it was a little more cheaper so we could have got a second one! The Vaziri Kebab plate was perfectly cooked, with both the chicken and lamb staying tender and not being over cooked. The Spicy Dizi was the main course, and was so good that it left us both with a food baby. If you want comfort food, this is the place to go. If your looking to feel so satisfied in your stomach that you may pass out, then this is also the place to go. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in having persian food as this is by far the best and most affordable.
What a night, what a lovely atmosphere and good old music. We started with lentil soup, which was unbelievable how delicious it was. We made two skewers of liver. Daisy ordered Omani lemon sour for Fey, who likes sour very much and enjoyed it. I also ordered challah, which was very tasty and big.
I ordered take out for the traditional dizi. Packageing was amazing! Everything came hot and on time. The food was good, a little bit too salty for my taste, but overall it was a soild 8/10
Stuff is so kind, food was delicious, inside so frendly.
Their food is really great and I fell in love with their Daisy and Kebab
Excellent, top notch and Daisy
The food is good and the portions are generous, but the dishes are a bit expensive.
I recently visited Mr. Dizis restaurant for the third time, and once again, it did not disappoint. I always order the dizi, a Persian traditional stew, and its absolutely delicious. The portion size is huge, and I find myself looking forward to my next visit just to have it again. If youre a fan of hearty, flavorful stews, this place is a must-try!
The best authentic Persian dish!
Rude treatment of the customer
Our order was kaseh kebab and dizi, the taste of kebab was great.Thank you
Authentic tasting food. Lots of options. The service is fantastic, the lady who served me tonight was just great. One of the best tasting kababs. Recommended dishes
Tasty food, friendly and polite, fair prices. I definitely recommend it.
It was a delightful food and atmosphere. The food was bwyond expectation. Kalleh Paacheh and Dizi. We had Halim as desert. Our server, Soheila was exceptional professional, and caring. The overall experience was fabulous. I will definitely come back with friends.
Amazing food and atmosphere, friendly waitress, highly recommend this place
We had the zeresht-polo & morg, koobideh and mirza ghasemi. All of them were excellent and we enjoyed it very much! Highly recommended. Fast service for take-out. Will definitely order again from here.
Amazing resturant and delicious dizi
Some Dizi with Doogh and you are transported to Persia.
I tried traditional Dizi with my friend. We both liked it. The portion size is great. Give this place a try. For this area this is a very good place. They also have stew and kabab. Food
I would like to say I had some company tonight. We decided to go to Mr. Dizi. I was so happy with everything. Thank you for your service
Nothing special about this place, we had to wash all our cloth after visiting this place duebto severe BBQ smoke inside the restaurant and u might ended up with a headache due to smoke inhalation
The koobideh and kabab tabeyi is amazing, the rice is good. But Kabab is delicious better than many restaurant whoch they have kabab koobideh.
It really stuck to him
First of all there hours are wrong on Google and on there website. Secondly I ordered food on the website, got order confirmation and receipt, when I reach the restaurant, its closed (Sat 9:00PM and there hours shows they are open till 11PM). On calling the restaurant they simply said they cannot do anything ( I could see them inside) also as for the payment it came out from my credit card and they said it will take 5 days to get a refund. They should mention this on there website that they are not taking orders and people dont waste 20 minutes to drive and pick up food and then go back home empty handed and money spent which I dont even know will get refunded or not Not impressed by the service
Every thing was amazing especially the kabab koobide was the best in town and even maybe in my life it taste the exact same as it should be iran and even it might be better
Wonderful ambiance, lots of options in Menu, and exceptionally friendly staff. The cuisine was delightful, leaving both me and my guests thoroughly pleased with our visit to Mr. Dizi.
It was very good and I remembered Iran partially
chambers
Best TV Series in Toronto
Very nice place, very tasty and authentic Iranian cuisine!! The owners are hospitable and pleasant people. We ordered Dizi and Dolma and were also treated to a free soup. If you like Iranian cuisine, I highly recommend this place!! You will be pleasantly surprised
Perfect food. Parking: Great place Food : 5/5 |
Amazing experience here. First time trying the Spicy Dizi and the staff was kind enough to show how its eaten. Made to perfection, and offered with pickles as a nice addition.
Delicious
Very good service, great for family gatherings. Parking: Good accessible parking. Food : 5/5 |
Everything was great, especially the Iranian omelette
Highly recommend! Me and my friends tried 3 different kinds of dizi on 25th of Dec/2023 and all of them were great and we liked them.
Tried the DIZI. It was good. A bit on the sour side though. The place could use a decor-touch-up
You must visit this restaurant.
They are so nice and helpful the food was warm and delicious nostalgic place really like it everything is great.
The food was delicious and warm. nice cozy environment and the service was wonderful and clean. I recommend to all to try Iranian food there. Food : 5/5
I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast to try their Halim. While the Halim itself was delicious, but was not fresh. The service was not very friendly as we hoped for. Food
One of the best Dizi in Canada
Worst management. Low quality food. Not recommend it
We ordered Dizi, it was really good, we enjoyed the food, the service and the friendliness of the people working there. Overall 10/10 Food
Delicious food and excellent service
Highly recommended! If you want to try one of the traditional Persian foods, I suggest you choose Dizi from their menu. They serve it with fresh sangak bread and three kinds of torshi. They were kind, and the service was great. Thank you!
First time we went the atmosphere was uninvinting, but the tahdig was a spectacle of culinary genius, so buttery and crispy is was almost like movie theatre popcorn. The kababs were great both times. The second time we went the rice wasn t quite as nice, but different people were working and they were very friendly and gave great service. The food was great both times with large portions but the leftovers made the car smell like farts. 8/10.
The kabab kubeda needed more spices Service we good The lentil soup was very good
Terrible experience save your time and money. Id rate them 0 if possible. We visited for breakfast after confirming over the phone about Kalepache availability, only to be told upon arrival that there was a mistake, and they didnt have it. We reluctantly ordered Zaban and Dizi. The food was incredibly tough and of poor quality, forcing us to drink two Cokes afterward to avoid potential health issues. The Zaban seemed stale and not fresh, while the Dizi was excessively greasy with minimal meat and lacked freshness. This was an overall disappointing dining experience.
Very cute interior and very delicious food. The rice was also great. The server was very nice.
Most delicious dizi I ve ever had in Toronto
The first time I ate Dizi after a long time staying far away from home and in a very positive atmosphere and delicious food.
Great food and very good service. I will definitely go there again. Food
Dizi was good just a bit overpriced
So far, the BEST Dizi i had in 10 years that i moved to Canada.
I recently dined at Mr. Dizi, and I must say it was an outstanding experience! The kebabs were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, while the abgosht was rich, flavorful, and incredibly tender. The attention to detail in the preparation of these dishes was truly impressive. The restaurants ambiance and service were equally top-notch. I highly recommend Mr. Dizi for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Persian cuisine. I cant wait to visit again!
Hit up MR.Dizi in Toronto the other day and man, they did an outstanding job! Del and Koobideh were on point, and the Dizi? Absolute perfection. The cherry on top? They heard about our recent good news and treated us with some delightful Baklava and a soothing cup of tea. Talk about going the extra mile! Seriously, great food matched with awesome behavior. I 100% recommend. Major props to the management and crew, and a special shoutout to those rockstars working there on October 22nd. Keep up the great work!
Traditional authentic Persian food and brunch! We loved the menu, breakfast, snack and food options. Dizi and Jigar were great, and I recommend this place! Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
I ordered Tahchin burger fesenjoon and loved it. Also, ordered Dizi and it was excellent.
A small family owned restaurant. Great service and atmosphere. Had lamb chops with rice. Good quantity.
It s one of the best Persian restaurants in the entire Canada for sure. Such a dimple design and random location but the food quality is amazing.
The best
I wanted my family to experience Dizi for the first time and Mr. Dizzi was wonderful. Very friendly staff and down to earth. We shared one dizi dish and one Gormeh Sabzi .All was delicious and the portions are very generous. We highly recommend this place.
That was the best , thanks
The service is so slow and unorganized. The owner doesn t know his job. He is probably an engineer or something but not a Resturant owner. The regular items are of low quality. The only quality item is dizi. Everything is super expensive competing to the competitors. Full kalepache is $17 in Darband but it s $26 in this place. But the worst part is the slow service. They bring food for a couple of people on the table while the rest don t have anything to eat. People then are forced to share their food until the server bring the rest of the food after almost 15 minutes. These are all could be forgiven for the first couple of times until they learn the business, if the price and quality worth it but sadly this is not the case.
Visited Mr Dizi in Toronto while traveling from Los Angeles, Best Dizi I have had in a while, Very Friendly service great food what else can you ask for
The food was awesome and the service was so fast and great. It was so worth to get there from miles away.
I just loved everything about this place! I had my weekend breakfast here and tried almost all of the breakfast s items. They were on the table 5 min after ordering. The food was amazing and staff were very nice and friendly. Also the decoration of this restaurant is very nostalgic. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone looking for spending money on a great food.
Last night for the first time I came to this restaurant, we got koobedeh and rise, the outside of the koobedeh was burnt and the inside was raw, and the rice was so greasy that we have to take the top layer of the rice and put it in another pan so it isnt as greasy as much, but still the grease was insane, as you can see in the picture for every spatula of rice there was 3x the oil, I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you want to have worlds most greasiest rice and half cooked meat
We were craving Iranian food and Mr Dizi did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the dizi, probably the best dizi Ive had in Toronto. The tahdigh was flavoured very well. The ghimeh was alright, it was a little too citrusy for me but otherwise good. The lamb koobideh was amazing, Im not a lamb person, but this koobideh did not smell and was very juicy. Overall, the place is small but has all the Iranian charms. We enjoyed it very much.
Great food , nice people
Good food Good quality packaging Food
Great service and amazing food.
I really liked the atmosphere and the food ! Friendly staff too ! Food was very delicious and tasted fresh
Super delicious Dizi, friendly staff, and nice environment. We ordered two Dizi, it was a good size but couldn t leave any leftover! And sorry no photos, next time.
The restaurants culinary prowess shines with a delightful array of delicious dishes. Coupled with top-notch service and set against a backdrop of a visually stunning environment, its a perfect restaurant for those seeking both exquisite flavors and a beautiful dining experience.
I was by chance was here with my son and the Dizi was perfect and highly recommended
I had the lamb shank and my partner had the dizi burger. The dizi burger is a unique creation that has the delicious kebab meat in the middle surrounded by rice paddies on top and the bottom that are cooked to hold their shape like a hamburger bun. The meat was good, but the rice paddies were too thick in terms of meat to bun ratio. The lamb shank meat was tender and delicious but their rice was bland and flavorless. Needed sumac and spicy sauce to make it go down smoother. I would go again to try more meat items on their menu. I would shy away from the rice for sure. The server was supposed to bring fries with the burger, but forgot to do so. She did after we reminded her. The fries were a bit under cooked. The annoying thing about the atmosphere is that stupid wooden door. It doesnt close on its own and always remains open as patrons walk in and out of the establishment. This creates a big draft in the restaurant that is annoying on a cold day. I had to close the door every time someone would walk in and out. They just need to sand the bottom of the door and were good to go lol. I would definitely go back and try more meat dishes, I feel like these guys season the meat properly. I also want to try the dizi stew. Parking: Free parking lot, with lots of parking. This restaurant is situated in a big plaza.
best
Delicious food and amazing service
Perfect
So gooooooooooooodddd
Sooooo good, we ordered dizi with lemon, shishlik, barg, stuffed eggplant, and doogh. Everything was so tasty and service was awesome. The lady who served us was nice.
Delicious Persian foods
Not an experience I recommend nor repeat!
It was delicious, one dizi could be enough for two person, makes the prices more reasonable. I recommend this place for having a meal there, variety of foods available, we were there with friends and all of us was satisfied with the service and other things
I tried the lamb, and it was disappointing undercooked and lacking flavor, especially compared to other Persian restaurants. I wouldnt recommend this place.
This was my third visit to this restaurant, and as always, I left happy. This time, I tried the Koobideh and Shishlik, both of which were exceptionally delicious and gourmet. The staff were very friendly, adding to the overall experience. The restaurants ambiance was neat and clean, evoking fond memories of home.
