Unpretentious Vietnamese restaurant turning out bun cha, pho & stir fries in a simple dining room.
Amazing! I have perfect experience every time I come. Worth every penny. The service is good, their employees are nice, they serve us with smiles and welcoming. Their foods are excellent, especially any dishes with grilled meats. Recommended! And one last thing, I am addicted to the coconut smoothie (sinh tố dừa).
Great kind staff, fresh herbs and clean broth! Bit pricy but worth it for the quality
They have the best garlic pickle and mango smoothie in Toronto
Staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very well located, clean and organized. Service is so fast and food is so delicious.
Authentic Northern Vietnamese food! Overall experience: 9/10 Their long doi nuong is a must try if you can eat pork’s intense. Everything is taste super well and reasonable price for their price, all of the dishes is sharable. The parking is somewhat hard to find if there is a lot of customers that day since they only have few parking spots available Server here is quick but the downside is no split- bills if you go in big group
Best Vietnamese food here ! Specially Vietnamese grilled or steamed Sausage (Secret Recipe). That needs a lot of work effort to make them, therefore supply may limited. Best to call before arrival. People from out of province to come for that! Must try! Other dishes are worth to try too!
Quantity and quality of food are slightly above average. Staff were attentive and helpful. Pho Son has potential to continue progressing in their overall services.
This turned out to be a nice spot for Vietnamese food. My mom found this gem by chance recently and really enjoyed her overall experience. She decided to bring the whole family. She wasn't kidding. The food was delicious and filling, and the staff who served us are friendly and helpful. We asked one of the employees to take a picture of us and he understood the assignment. Price point is decent for what it is in this current economy, and I think it is worth with what you get. Like I said, the food is delicious and filling. Great first impression from me.
We had Pho Ga this time. Farm chicken is very delicous.
The porridge is so delicious The congees taste awesome
Best pho in town service good restaurant is clean awesome experience
Best Pho
This place is amazing!!! the food is so good the smell was hypnotizing
So Delicious !
authentic northern pho. gotta try their sausage
Theyre very welcoming and amazing food / prices.
We drove from Ottawa from this deliciousness
Good authentic
The pork chops were excellent tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! The quality of the food was outstanding, and the friendly service made the dining experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a great meal. I ll definitely be returning!
Food was good, the servers were polite and helpful and the place had a good vibe. **Update**- I tried the chicken pho and it was so raw, I almost choked on the meat Vegetarian options: They have option for vegetarian pho
so delicious huhu
The most authentic Vietnamese restaurant that I ve ever been before. Every plate has it s own aroma, flavour and colour. I can t recommend it highly enough!!
Very filling + attentive service
The food is pretty authentic, great service
I haven t been to Pho Son in a while, stopped in for lunch today and was seated in a booth beside a long table that was full of people. It was disgusting that they had 2 dogs sitting on the seat and they were feeding the Vietnamese food to them with their hands. They took turn petting the dog! Mind you they were close to the cutlery. I hope they sanitize the seats and cutlery for the next guests! It was the long table near the cashier. I was so uncomfortable. I ate quickly and paid. I asked the cashier dogs are allowed in the restaurant? She had replied they were service dogs! No they weren t! Service dogs have vests on and they sit on the ground! People are so entitled to bring their pets in without caring for other guests! The owners should review their cameras today and see if that was appropriate to have dogs sitting and eating. I WILL NOT BE EATING HERE EVER AGAIN! DISGUSTING!
Came here for some pho soup with spring rolls. Great food and customer service. My new favorite pho restaurant.
Best pho in town
Kid-friendliness: Yes Food
Best Vietnamese restaurant for northern cuisine. We go there whenever we are craving for Cháo lòng z i . Bún ch Hà n i also very tasty and authentic. Service staff are super friendly and attentive. Cook and kitchen are great, food coming out fast, fresh and hot. I don t need to say more I have to eat my cháo lòng now, and don t forget to order zò cháu qu y to dip in hot cháo lòng. Enjoy Parking: parking is where you park the cars before entering the restaurant
Excellent, Im going back again soon
Came for the iced coffee and the Service was great. The iced coffees are delicious! Food : 5/5
Decent portions for great tasting pho! There is a lot of seating inside, making this a great place to dine with family.
Good foods and good services. My familys enjoying and keep coming back.
10/10 hospitality Foods great and so is the vibe. Food
Pho is very delicious
Great food, especially Bun dau mam tom and Bun cha. Pho is just average. Most waiters are helpful and cashier is respectful. Clean table + utensils Come back for sure!
Specifically, this morning I ordered 3 bowls of porridge and just started eating when I discovered a small piece of iron that could have been used to clean pots and pans. I felt like the food here wasnt clean, so I quickly went out to pay and go home
Too bad
Great food every time ! Servers help out right away! Authentic Northern Vietnamese cuisine!
A must visit place for Northern Vietnamese cuisine
Highly recommend: Chao Long Doi ( L5 ) & Long Doi Nuong ( L3 )
Lovely place but we paid $20 for bland burnt rice. It was the fried rice with pickles. It was burnt to the point of being crunchy. The pho was unique but the noodles were over cooked and mushy. The cold rolls were decent. I don t think I ll be back. :(
This is my first time coming to this location. I had good memories way back they were at the previous place. The waiters are friendly and responsive. However, the dishes we ordered didn t look inviting to begin with. The meat was overcooked and very chewy/dry while the porridge was just average. Better Vietnamese options out there in my opinion.
Delicious noodles with tofu and shrimp paste
There are better tasting Vietnamese restaurants. Not a big fan.
Stopped in here because we were close by and looking for pho. Great little spot. Would definitely recommend. Generous portions.
Very attentive staff! Great service. Wanted to try North Vietnamese. Glad I did. Very tasty and worth trying. Thank you for the experience.
Excellent fried rice with beef melon
Alright
Good place for pho!!!
Bun cha Hà N i . Unforgettable. Wife loves the avocado smoothie. Brown waiter was very charming. Food : 5/5
Very authentic Northern Vietnamese style pho, they have a lot of dishes other pho places don t have on the menu. Always friendly service, my go-to pho spot!
Very good pho. Really good noodles.
Very good food, traditional northern style Vietnamese food .
Always my favourite place to have Pho. Would recommend either Pho Tai Lan, Pho Ap Chao or Chao Long.
Great food and service
Very good pho spot
Best Northern style Pho in the city. Get the Pho Tai Lan with chinese donuts on the side.
Amazing food. I just wish they delivered with skip the dishes as I can t get there often
Delicious food good service and quick meal times. ! Great place
This might just be the best pho in the city. The pho tai lan sauté beef noodle soup is unique to other traditional pho s and is absolutely insane! This place is such a hidden gem. Amazing service and clean restaurant. I can t wait to try other menu items.
Pho was pretty good. Seemed like northern Vietnamese with southern Chinese influence. Not the best but better than average. Service was acceptable. I would return if I wanted pho and was near by. I would not go out of my way.
Google Map hello, yes. That one is a great one, everyone comes! Parking: Google Map , yes. Thats okay! Food : 5/5 |
I miss vietnamese food They made me satisfy Ill go there again! Food : 5/5
We ordered the bun cha Hanoi, grilled pork chop rice and bun Bo hue. The bun cha Hanoi was good but only have 2 cha and some pork slices. It was a little salty for our liking. The pork chop was really good, grilled perfectly, thick and tender. The rice they fixed in the dish was of a high quality. The bun Bo hue was the weakest dish. I believe they used the pho broth and then added in instant bun Bo hue powder. The protein in the bun Bo hue was fresh though.
My regular visit place. This time I came back to try Bun Cha Ha Noi and Bun Mang Vit. They were all tasty. The store is also famous for its Congee. Must try item
Do eats deliciously. The shop is clean. The most delicious is heart porridge
I came back to rate down this restaurant. I always ordered to-go and today was the first time that I dined in. The staff was nice and attentive, but one of our food took so long to come out. The flavours were just average and I could taste a lot of MSG in my dish. The disappointing part was the interaction with the owner when I came to pay for our meal at the counter. He said that he didn t accept the American Express card. When I was trying to pay with my visa card, my Apple pay with the Amex card was automatically paid and went through. He was pretty upset about that fact and said to me I told you not to pay with Amex, why did you do it? . That was pretty rude to say to your customers. If you dont want to accept Amex, then just remove it from your system. Dont treat customers like they did something wrong because you have to pay a high fee for Amex. . I dont think I would want to come back here again.
Best pho Ive had in Toronto. I am pleased to report that the large size is actually large
All kinds of menus are North of Vietnam tastes. But bun ca - fish noodles wrong taste.
A nice place to have Vietnamese food in Toronto - North York. Pho broth is tasty compared to other restaurants. I love how clean and organized the place is. They have a big menu with a nice a lot of choices. M m tôm doesn t taste exactly like what we have back home but it s worth to try with steam sausage ( d i) when you are craving. Staffs are polite and friendly.
Best authentic, real, non-Westernized pho in the city.
Really good spring roll to start, and any dish you choose will be good as well
The place looks clean and nice. The service was good and the food delicious
As soon as I walked in, I didn t see the special beef noodles that are usually found in pho restaurants on the menu. I almost ordered Hanoi beef noodles. The store patiently changed it for me. I was very surprised The taste is very good and is comparable to the ones in Scarborough. Recommended
Great food
Good service, the Pho Tai Lan 90% matches Pho Thin 13 Lo Duc. Try it !!!!!
Filling and delicious.
Great service and quick from the front staff but noodles were old. Not fresh. Mentioned it to the staff and chef came to say let it sit in the hot soup longer . Wasn t very friendly either.
First time to try.Looks good
Food at this place is great. That said I had a poor experience today on Mother s Day where I attempted to call and order for pickup. I was informed on the phone that they were out of food and asked if they had dine in service to which they also replied no . I found this very suspicious considering it was Mother s Day, and I heard very clear chatter in the background so I made a point on my way home of checking inside to see if there was people eating and of course not 15 minutes after my call there was. I stepped inside and ordered my food with no issue. Not sure who is answering their phone but the whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Lied to multiple times on the phone for what? To avoid making food and filling an order? The owner should look into their staff that is refusing business. The place wasn t even that busy, maybe 5 of 15 tables were seated
Authentic northern Vietnamese pho. Havent tried other dishes but pho is good. Would recomend.
Loving it
Their bun ca is the best in Toronto
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went in for a simple bowl of pho and eneded up paying $23 for a medium bowl of pho.I got charged separately for 2 different meats rare and well done. Not only did I get overcharged but the broth was lacking flavour and the supposed rare beef was as hard as leather and the well done beef tasted like it was old. For my $23 bowl of medium pho I got a total of 5 thin slivers of hard rare beef and 3 approx 1 inch squared by quater inch well done old tasting meat. Ive gotten more meat out of a small bowl of pho at other restaurants. I told the cashier about my dissatisfaction and all I got was a low key ..Im sorry .needless to say I will never go back .To me its not about the money as I have paid 20 and up for a decent bowl of pho but give me what Im paying for..I work hard for my money.dont charge for extra meat and dont give it..and make sure the quality of the meat is fresh and top notch. I hope this honest review helps improve the restaurants quality and customer service. Parking: Ample parking at least 20 spots
Best heart porridge in town.
Horrible experience. Restaurant itself is clean. There is way too many waiters working and just standing there looking at people eating you know how awkward is that? Anyways. My waiter didn t speak English at all. We asked him something if this order had the thing that we want and he said yeah of course. Next thing you know he brought us a different dishes and trying to argue with us. He has no clue what I am saying such a bad experience as they should know how to speak English, not saying full but need to know how to explain about food wise.
Words can not describe this place! It is the best Vietnamese place I have ever tried! The owners are the sweetest people and treat everyone like family! The bathrooms were very clean. Overall experience was great! The service and staff was on point! Great option for long doi - definitely coming here again!
I would say the best pho restaurant in Toronto, Place is clean, food is amazing and resonable price. Plenty of parking space and staff are friendly.
The pho is very delicious that I have ever enjoyed, with northern flavors Clean store and friendly staff
Everything tasted ok. But got a nice diarrhea!!
Good food, good service and nice place to eat.
Very nice restaurant and always the favourite place to spend for weekend dinner
Very tasty food but way over priced, and the porkchops where paper thin and half fat half meat it should have been atleast 2 chops for the price and size.. !!!!. Otherwise service was great friendly staff, free tea was very good l, as expected from a Vietnamese Restaurant.
The food here is great but the pricing has to be adjusted. The beef fried rice was once $14 but is now $19 and the portion doesnt reflect that. Even with inflation it doesnt justify the $5 increase with the small portion size
Really good food...definitely going back
Love the food, northern Vietnamese taste. Definitely recommend.
My go to pho place! My mom usually enjoy it here.
Great food, excellent service
Delicious Pho, but also a little pricier
Delicious Bac rare pho, sausage intestines are unacceptable, 1 portion is too expensive, just a few pieces of sausage, $33, (with Bill attached) rip off! The package I brought home was missing so many items that I had to go back to get it.
My daughter like food there
One of the best pho places in the GTA. Incredibly flavorful food, solid prices, and welcoming staff.
Ive been there many times and had many different menu items and they are all delicious! I dont recommend Thai food though.
Good food, nice service, but the grilled sausages and offal are quite pricey.
I got the grilled chicken on steamed rice and for the price and portions was very disappointed they served me half a piece of chicken thigh wich is ridiculous many better pho places in the area
The Phos quality is going down a little bit but the Chao Long is good and its the reason that keeps me coming back.
My familys new favourite Vietnamese Pho Restaurant. Adequate menu selection, focusing on the basics and essentials. Which is good and allows the restaurant crew to focus on flavour. We ordered the Pho Tai Bac, Bun Cha HaNoi, and Bun Bo Hue: All tasted great. Attentive and friendly service from the staff. Very impressed.
I love the pho broth. Very flavorful. I would come back here to bring family and friends.
Its a good restaurant, the pho and other food is good to Food
Just had the Hà N i style rare beef pho and it s one of the best I ve ever had. We will be coming back anytime we re in the neighbourhood! Also super clean in here and friendly service :)
perfect!
The best
Rice dish is good, pho so so a bit pricy
The owner make the atmosphere so horrible! And so pricey! Food
First time here. Decent sized restaurant and wasnt too busy. Staff is not that attentive, food is just decent. Portion wise a tiny bit smaller than what I am used to. I had the Wednesday only special but it wasnt that great tbh, just regular so im not sure why they are not able to offer it all week long? Not much else to say about this place really. Overall on the fence about returning as I think there are a couple more options in the area. Im only.going to recommend if youre nearby and havent been before.
The food were okay and average . We ordered bún ch Hà N i, Bún bò Hu and pad thai. Server was attentive. However, few hours after getting home, all of us got food poisoning. I have never went through such a funny series of vomiting and camping on the toilet every few minutes. To the owner or head chef, please sanitize your kitchen area or double check your cooler
My friend recommended this place, and I love the food here. One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto.
their deep fried tofu was good
This place is the best viet restaurant around , been going from old location (which was small and always packed) to a new bigger location (still busy), food is always delicious and fresh and their authentic viet dishes are amazing! dont forget to get an iced coffee from here aswell its real good .
Rude male servers, they all have attitude. Sometimes they carry cups with their thumb inside, same with the soup bowl. However, the food was pretty good with specious dinning area hence 3 stars instead of 1 star. Hope they make improvement on their customer service.
Great location to have good Pho and other dishes with authentic Taste. I always visit this restaurant every time I travel to Toronto. Highly recommend !
We were totally amazed about the food in this restaurant. Best quality and authentic vietnamese food! We recommend to take the weekend dishes
Not sure why everyone says the pho broth is near perfect here. Maybe its because Im used to a southern style pho broth. Food overall was decent. Ordered a smoothie and received it as we finished our meal and about to pay the bill. On the day that we went it was fully packed so I didnt think too much about why my drink was so late. Its a well known establishment among the Vietnamese community so do expect wait times and fully seated tables with a bit of slower service. They have non-typical dishes that other places dont carry.
Great food at good price.
We came in a big group again. Ordered a variety of options and I have to say that the congee was the best congee I ve ever had (must order if you ever decide to visit)! If you are into pork stuff, their pork blood/rice sausage might be of interest - I found the smell of the pork intestine a bit too strong though. Their pho and vermicelli were pretty good, I would say above average. The restaurant was packed and had very limited parking when we visited, so my advice would be to come in not during the rush hours .
This restaurant is the most delicious restaurant I ve ever seen before. Taste and quality good .
Delicious, clean, diverse dishes, warm and friendly service attitude
Food is good enough, service can be improved.
Our favourite vietnamese restaurant, been here since I just moved to Canada. The new location is much much better. Their Pho, Bun Cha and Chao Long Doi are the best, always wanted to try the Bun Rieu but we re very busy on weekday, hope they will make it on weekend too.
The best pho restaurant I have been dined in. I order 6 dishes and none of them failed me.
This is the nicest viet pho restaurant. Never thought Id comment about the appearance of the restaurant but its nicely finished with a bonus of having a very clean washrooms. The food was good. A definite place to come enjoy some delicious viet food
Authentic north vietnamese dishes. Reasonable prices and fast service
My go-for-restaurant whenever I feel homesick. Closest to authentic flavour of Hanoi cuisines, truly Northern taste in a quite creative way. Kudos to Dominic the young owner guy as well, he sounds sophisticated and accomodative with skillful customer service. Love the whole team attitude!
Good food and friendly staff. You gotta eat here!
Soup were boiling hot! Very tasty
Best Pho stock in town! This Vietnamese restaurant is clean and efficient. Their staff is always nice and accommodating. The food NEVER disappoints, it s always consistently great! Great place to get pho.
The beef was a little bit overcook
A good place for pho, beef is tender but with a bit of tendon. Their fried spring rolls are delicious however.
Food is a bit expensive compared to other places but worth it because food is delicious, especially congee, pho. the restaurant is very nice, clean. The washroom is very clean. Staffs is friendly and nice!
Amazing food and service!!
I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants and for me this is the best pho place in Toronto. Their sea food fried rice is good too.
Clean restaurant with many staff. Their pho and fried rice were really yummy but wish they stop overcooking the beef.
Very good
If you dont open the door, what kind of business are you labeling?
Great place to eat. The Vietnamese sausage with congee was delicious. I had the usually rice with pork chop and chicken.
Normally my go-to pho place in the area, but please note they have been closed for a while and reopening on Dec 1. If google maps says they re open now, they re not.
So bad Bun dau mam Tom Bad service
Servers were quick and efficient but not many of them speak English. Not sure what was going on today because they screwed up so many orders today. My pho came out before the table before me and I had finished even before the spring rolls or the rest of the table received their food and that was about a 15 minute wait. Every pho dish that came out was just the rare beef when we ordered the Dac Biet. Their spring rolls was also weird in texture.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto .. I am so enjoying the foods as well as the service in this place..
My friend highly recommended this spot and noted that the L3 Long Doi Nuong (only available weekends) was a must-try, and it did not disappoint! The interior was bright and modern, with comfy seating. Servers were friendly and accommodating; they situated me in a booth while I was waiting on my friend. I do wish they came by to fill up our water more than once, but the restaurant was quite busy that Saturday afternoon. It didnt detract from our dining experience much. The food was delicious and portions were very generous as well. We got the L3. B1. P8. and Chinese Donuts (dipped in and eaten with the Pho is how my friend taught me to have it!) Ordered much more than necessary for a party of two because we wanted to try various dishes, but I believe $20 per person will be just perfect! Would definitely recommend this spot for some authentic northern Vietnamese cuisine :)
Tried their pho and it was ok. Chicken was very rubbery and chewy.
I tried almost all the Pho restaurant in Toronto, and this one is hand down the best for north side taste. Most of other places, Pho will taste very similar and this place has special North Edition (Pho Tai Bac). The broth is so different and very aromatic. They also offer donut, which is a must have when you eat pho in Vietnam, but I never see any restaurant offers it in Toronto. Chao long, Bun Ca, com rang is also very good here, highly recommended
