Just happen to drive by and the simple word PHO sign caught my attention. This store is located in a big plaza with a lot of other eatery options. Plenty of parking and easy access to main road. Price wise for a dish is $15-$24 before tax for vermicelli grilled dishes. Restaurant was roomy and clean. I Ordered take out and service was speedy. Presentation wise looks great, however vegetables were fluffed up, meat portion size was a bit smaller than most of the Pho restaurants I have visited. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. The fish sauce was watered down, the grilled chicken was very dry and the other dish I ordered was beef which I paid $1 extra and it was dry and tough as well. The day old meat did taste as if it was over cooked. May be due to the fact that I was the 2nd person ordering for the day as they just opened, and probably doing the First In First Out method with food. Unfortunately with this visit, this restaurant did not meet my expectations of a Vietnamese cuisine.
I was at Pho Toronto 5 days ago and I cannot stop thinking about this one dish so here I am leaving this review. This was my first time trying Vietnamese food. We ordered 4 dishes among which I loved loved loved and absolutely loved the roti chicken with rice, the chicken was so tender and the sauce was out of this world 😭 just thinking about the juicy chicken with that sauce is making my mouth water 🤤
I went there for lunch after a doctor's appointment and I'm satisfied with the food. The ambience is nice and welcoming, the service is friendly. The free jasmine tea is a good touch. We ordered Grilled Pork Pho and Pad Thai and both are good. Pho is so flavorful that I didn't need to add any extra sauces to it and pad Thai is good , loved that extra amount of peanuts on it. Will definitely recommend to people and will be back soon to try more dishes.
Went here for lunch and it wasn’t crowded. Only a few people were dining in. The servers were nice and gave me a free tea. Had their rice with 2 pork chops which were so-so. Nothing too special but they were good enough to be shared if you’re a light eater. It was grilled and it tasted too sweet for my liking. Same with the vinegar it came with. Place was clean and good enough for a large crowd. I guess I should’ve gotten their pho instead then maybe I would’ve had a better experience. Also, note that they have a 10% service charge which I think is not that bad.
Fresh and tasty. Had the grilled chicken Pho and a large cold roll to share. Broth was very flavourful and the cold roll was very fresh. I had a small Pho, about 500ml a medium is 1L. Peanut sauce with the cold roll was nice and think not runny like others I’ve had. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.
Very underwhelming pho. Saw that it has decent reviews so wanted to give it a try but the food portion were so small even though we ordered a large. Noodle was on the harder side but acceptable. The soup was very basic tasting, like it didn't have a lot of ingredients aside from msg. Location is spacious. Will likely stick with Pho Metro next time.
The small size raw beef and beef ball pho had very little pho noodles in it. The beef slices were overcooked and tough to chew. Rice noodles and the grilled pork chop rice were better than average. Portions all still on the small size.
The food here hits the heart just right. But the best part is their service. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. We were initially wanting to get takeout, but her hospitality made us want to dine in. My new go to Pho place for sure.
This is the best Pho in East/North York. Portions are generous - lots of protein. Staff is friendly. Prices are good.
Hair in my water, no chilis, small sandwich for 10$, less noodles. First restaurant without no chili, forgot that our order was a medium, and we had to go up to pay. And a 10% service charge!!!
AMAZING SERVICE and impeccably quick also amazing food
Sign says they close at 9 and i got there at 8:45 and the doors were locked and no one in there.
delicious foods!
Went for lunch here and was pleasantly surprised by the food! We ordered the small Pho noodle soup with grilled pork. Portions were a good size, broth was very flavorful, and the grilled meat was amazing! My mom loved that it had lemongrass flavor. They were also accommodating when we asked for fully-cooked bean sprouts. I only wish they included culantro, thai basil, and mint leaves with the bean sprouts. The interior of the restaurant is comfortable (modern style though could use more lighting). However, unlike other restaurants, they dont play any music in the background. A bit odd, but a nice place to chat and enjoy some peace while eating pho. Overall would come back again :)
The restaurant vibe was good, just not many people which seems the restaurant isn t the favourite spot for people. Saying so because the food quality isn t the high quality that you re expecting for a pho restaurant. The meal was ok, the flavour was kind of blend, it didn t impressed me at all. I had to put a lot of the pho sauce to make it taste better. The beef on it was no rare, and the brisket was kind of chewy. The lemon they gave me was very dry that I barely got juice out of it. I never got a free tea like the other pho restaurants provide, I was forced to order a drink. The staff was very friendly and their service too. Just I wish they could improve the quality standards on their meals, that s all.
not bad
Food is pricy compare with other Pho restaurants with small portions. Won t come back again
open since 2018, very clean restaurant, super friendly, delicious fresh food
Service is not friendly. Service additional charge is mandatory. Will not visit again.
I have been going there for over 10 years and eve yet time I go there I never get disappointed! Love their food and service
It is a clean restaurant with Authentic Viet food! Just like the other has mentioned, their Fresh rolls are very original and delicious . They don t cut down the ingredients like many other Viet restaurants that I have been . Vegetarian options: A whole page of vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Spacious restaurant with booth seats
Not only the food is excellent with reasonable price. This is one of the reare restaurants in which you can really relax and enjoy your meal. Its so clean, including the washroom. Theres no background music so you can have a good conversation with your friends who go eat out with you, and are not forced to listen to something that may not suit your individual taste. Its a bit far from where I live. Otherwise, I would want to come as often as possible!
It s really nice and clean inside. The pho is really good. Portions are really big. The Vietnamese sandwiches are unreal. The Banh mi with pork was our favourite. Food : 5/5
Food is good but the last 3 times i tried going (during their open hours of operation) they were closed even though it said on google they were open. If they closed early, they do it too many times. Then i end up going to another viet resto.
The food is good here, but its a shame that they are never open on time. I ve come to this location multiple times from 11:00-11:20 and they are never open.
Phot Toronto proved once again their Sliced Fish Congee is the top! Nicely seasoned, Green onions, and condiments, with Basa was such a tasty fish. I recommend Pho Restaurant, to everyone who is looking for great Vietnamese cuisine. It appears the Pho Toronto Restaurant has done it again with a great Congee, with nice taste and good sized chunks of sea-bass, as well!! Bravo! Great eatery, and wonderful service all-around!
Restaurant is clean and has modern decor. The food took a bit longer than expected to prepare. None of the dishes were terrible nor did any stand out. Service was fine.
This place is great. Spotless inside, plenty of seating with a huge menu. Pho broth is deep and flavorful which is not usually the case at other places. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Ample parking and good service round out this places appeal. Just wish they were open Monday and Tuesday but everyone needs a break. Highly recommend. Parking: easy parking
So Im debating my 3 stars. If I should make it 2 instead. But Ill keep it at 3. Reason being is that. This exact location used to be really good when it first opened up and I feel like it has slowly gone down hill. Starting with the food. I understand costs go up in all businesses. And even if you keep the recipe and vendors the same at least prepare your dishes the same way you have been before. Example. Fried spring rolls have major freezer burn. Taste older than they should be and should be in the trash instead of on a plate. 2nd thing is. Your shrimp pad thai. Your shrimp taste old and rubbery. Overcooked for sure and the sauce you use smells gasly. & 3rd If your charging as much as you are for Fried Wonton at least put a full shrimp in each one instead of cutting them down in half. 3rd. When your pho consist of 80% less meat and tripe than it once did a few years ago than you should call it a noodle soup and not a pho special with Meats. Meat balls and tripe. Went to this location today as it used to be my go to place and havent been there in some time and happened to be in the area but will definitely pass it up the next time and go someplace else
Great pho, will come again
The food here is so tasty and full of flavour...tgey certainly dont cheap out on quality or quantity..unlike Ph@ M3tr@... this place is super clean and most importantly the washrooms spotless...love this place..
Reasonable price and very friendly service. Some people dont like the 10% auto service charge, but its still a lot better than other places which expect you to pay 15% minimum. Initially came by this place just randomly, but the more I come the more I like this place. The guy running the place surprised me by providing one of the warmest service Ive seen in Toronto.
Amazing food and great service... my favourite pho restaurant in Scarborough
these reviews must be made up or AI created. Food was utterly the worst pho I have ever eatten. Unfriendly staff. most of all the food was so bad I cant even put it into words. I work nearby and given them 3 trys. all 3 times money completely wasted. Do not trust reviews please.
Really friendly staff and the service is pretty quick. Their beef pho is really nice and what I ve gotten the few times I ve been here
I ordered pork and rice and it was pretty good but the portion was quite disappointing, the pork was thinly sliced into two pieces plus rice and a little bit of salad on the side for $15.99. Overpriced for a small portion. Not coming back again.
Food is just ok. The price is more expensive if comparing with other Vietnamese restaurant. Service is good. Restaurant is clean.
It s big inside. Spacious seating. Place is super clean and tidy. Very comfortable. Service is there but the waiter keeps the same look. Food is just above average but music they play is Cuban. Not a bad place to have my lunch and dinner. Parking: Huge parking area! Kid-friendliness: Of course!
Went there for lunch and they were closed. They only open when they feel like it They don t follow their posted hours.
I come here often. I m just sad cause they give less noodles for the pho now compared to before.
Tastes good, but the price is on the high side (personal experience)
Phillip is the best! The food here is consistently good!
Food is really good
the restaurant is clean and nicely arranged. It is unlike most viet restaurant that have a rushed-family atmosphere. We went at 1:30 so its quiet. We ordered pho, hue-style noodles and rice. Depending on the dish, it can be good or bad. The phos meat have strong smell and old. The beef-ball is also old. Contrary, the hue-style noodle was good. The bbq-pork on the rice was too sweet. Note: the restaurant included tips on their bill, so you dont need to add additional tips. They gave us a dessert as a gift on the way out. The flan was very tasty - fluffy and creamy. I recommend this restaurant but be mindful of the dish chosen. Perhaps order pho on a busy day then you will have more fresh ingredients.
Decided to come back again to see if anything changed from the last time. I feel things got worst and portions are so little for a large pho at 15.99.
I cant recommend this restaurant as they do not pay their employees their last paycheck. Will provide an update if they ever do. Additionally, food was observed to be served immediately after cleaning dirty countertops at this location.
Very clean, not crowded, and spacious. My favourite pho restaurant in Toronto! Always have P9, the noodle soup with good amount of beef brisket, beef tendon, and rare beef. Highly recommended! Parking: Free parking Kid-friendliness: Service is fast and staff are friendly
Good cozy restaurant. Tasty Pho - Beef Rice Noodles Soup
Nice Pho! Pretty good service is nice !
Authentic and flavourful menu for the whole family. Attentive and friendly service with clean and well kept interior and furniture. Always a satisfying experience at Pho Toronto!
The place is never open. Hours indicate 11am to 8pm. Been there twice between 11:30 & noon, with the open sign flashing away and the lights on but the door closed & locked. No answer on the phone. Why even stay in business if youre not open when people want to get food. Useless!
Come here if you want to get ripped off. Beware the hidden service charges and the double dipping when tipping - my $23 meal ended up coming to over $32 after tax, hidden service charges and a 15% tip, almost DOUBLE the original cost. First, I got hit with a 10% service charge on the subtotal and it was never disclosed. No signs anywhere and staff never mentions this. If this is to compensate for using a credit card, I was never advised which I would have paid in cash instead. Furthermore this is in violation of their payment processor agreement when taking credit card payments, like all restaurants that do this. Next, when I got the prompt to tip on the POS terminal, I instinctively selected 15%, not knowing I was tipping on the TOTAL of the bill instead of the SUBTOTAL. So this means they make you tip on the tax AND the service charge that was snuck in that you didnt know about! Highly deceptive business practices. My fault for rushing out and not paying attention. Turned my first visit of an average experience to terrible regret.
There soup is by far the best
Was closed at 12:40pm on a Wednesday.
First time trying out Pho Toronto and was pleasantly surprised - this will definitely go into our regular rotation. Ordered takeout and it was ready quickly. So far have just tried the pho but we are impressed. Portion sizes were great and the cuts of beef were very good - rare beef was tender, and brisket was made up of solid slices with a good lean/fat ratio. Broth was flavourful and delicious. They were very generous with the accompaniments. Staff were very nice at pickup and even gave us free dessert! We look forward to supporting this small business.
Came by the plaza for the first time to get my drivers license renewed and found this gem. Had pho and it was really good - served at right temperature, clean broth and good portion. Restaurant has spacious seating, friendly and prompt service. I was getting tired of having to get pho as take-out since most Vietnamese restaurants in the neighbourhood decided to stop dine-in and resort to take-out only. So, thank you for staying open for dine in and I would definitely come back again!
The lady was very friendly and accommodating and the pho and dipping sauce it came with was delicious. Reasonable pricing.
Very clean restaurant and very nice service, food was very nice too!
Food was good. Only thing disappointing is the cleanliness.
Excellent food and friendly customer service! Their spring rolls are very delicious
Quick service and clean. I tried Thailand Pho. It was not bad, tasted a bit of sour and spicy, so guess the soup was similar to tom yum soup base. Would like to come back try other foods.
Good, authentic Vietnamese restaurant loved in the east end of Toronto. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I had bun bo hue (spicy beef soup) and it was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant.
Ordered delivery to our hotel. We both got the house special. It was pretty good but not very hot (temperature). Would have been 4 stars but for $17/dish we expected better. Very expensive for pho.
Ordered vermicelli with spring rolls, pho and shakes or smoothies. Delicious all around and excellent service. Highly recommend !
Nice atmosphere and good food!
Food portions could have been better, especially for pho- a large bowl costing $16 now, and wasnt filling like it used to be. We dined in 6 people and was charged a 10% service charge which i didnt notice until I got home. A bit upset considering I tipped on top, so they got a double-tip! Food presentation and service was nice, but this automatic service charge is not cool. Please dont add a service charge on your guests bills unless its a group of 8 or more like most restaurants do! Guests, check your bill before you leave!!
GREAT SERVICE AMAZING FOOD
I love this place is close to home service is always excellent food is good.
Rude server. I witnessed the encounter and the guy serving customers scolded at them for not wanting to wait. Never apologized.
Had a terrible experience. Did my g1 test and went there at 11:40am, waited for 20 minutes and the dude in glasses serving us came and told us it will be a minute. Waited for another 5 minutes and told him we are going. He brushed me off and told me just go, I told you theres gonna be wait time. I told him that he should have told me at the beginning when I ordered, but he never let me finish the sentence and told me to screw off. Very disappointed. He never apologized for wasting our time. I mean, dude, it was lunch time. You should be ready for customers for the fricking special pho (not a specialty dish, first pho on the menu) by noon. Good luck with that kind of attitude. I recommend everyone to stay away from this kind of toxic environment.
Ive been going to their sister locations on Kennedy and Midland for years now. And have also been coming to this Lawerence location handfuls of times. I felt the need to have to right a review this time because I was just blown away by the level of quality and customer service (post pandemic). We came in on a Sunday evening and ordered dishes that are specialties in our Vietnamese culture. I ordered make it yourself fresh rolls, bun bo hue, banh xeo and grilled pork on rice (for my 7 year old). The food was just absolutely delicious and beyond. It was fresh, beautiful, and served at the perfect temperature. Hard to execute on a slow Sunday evening. Although there is in fact a charge of 10% service fee added to the bill, it was well deserved. It is not easy to find good wait staff, considering costs of food are going up and minimum wage increasing as well. The service was on par, teas refilled, water jugs offered, napkins galore. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner and perfectly executed.
Great food and customer service. Price is OK.
So so delicious, had the beef broth grill chicken pho and a grilled chicken banh mi. The food is also a true reflection how great these people are. Tucked in a strip mall on Lawrence and Victoria Park is this true Vietnam gem.
I really enjoyed myself again. It was a great change from the usual restaurant
Outstanding quality and service! I strongly recommend this restaurant! Very clean and cozy!
I eat Pho in Toronto for more than 20 years, but at this Pho house, I had and I have the best experience. The service is calm, kind and the soup is amazing. The P23 is my preferred. Just because we moved recently I come from 100 km away especially to have this soup at least once a month. It is my treat! Thanks for everything, to the owner and to the master chef!
Ordered a number of times here with the amount of different restaurants similiar in the area, I find this one very consistent in taste, quantity and the quality of their dishes are just as good compared to them.
The server + who I think was the cook were both extremely friendly and gracious, and the food was so good! The portion sizes were good and the flavoring of everything was exceptional.
Great, fresh meal. Big portions and very tasty
Had lunch there with someone else and the vermicelli came before my pho with rare beef and tripe. Had to remind the waiter and it came out immediately. Not sure what was up with that, but everything else was fantastic. Try the awesome spring rolls and I would visit again! Especially since its right next to my gym!
Reliable and dependable meals, always consistent quality, fresh ingredients and most importantly, traditonal taste. If you want traditionally made Vietnamese food you ve found your place.
The food was delicious! The facility was clean and modern! (beautiful wallpaper) The service is great!
Ive had a lot of Pho and I can say not only is the broth very flavorful but it is very clean. There is little to no oil which tells me they skim the fat off and its not loaded with msg like a lot of other places, they definitely do things the right way, highly recommend.
Went there yesterday to grab dinner. Great authentic food and their broth is spectacular. Food overall 5/5!! Thank you :)
Love the service and speed! Place is very clean and the pho was delicious!
the best pho place!!!!!!!!!!!! and i got 3 portions out of their medium size. highly recommend :)
Excellent service and food was awesome. Clean restaurant with very friendly staff. I had the P10 pho and it was pretty much perfect. Super hot broth, lots of protein and very tasty. Also had the deep fried spring rolls which were very good as well.
On a cold day like an ex girlfriend I trust no place then pho med house spicale does the job good.
Very clean place. Nice to dine in. Foods are very satisfying. You can finish the large soup especially with this cold weather. Everything is served with care.
Not bad. Fried Rolls are dry but dipping sauce for them make up for it. Pho broth has too much spice - smells and tastes like cinnamon or allspice. Whatever it is, it s intense. Soft chow mein noodle dish had too much unusual seafood (fish cake, mussel) and not enough noodles. And veggie pho barely had veggies; Bok choy only! Some tweaking to recipes and there s potential to earn more respect from this very diverse neighborhood with already established viet options. Love supporting local biz so keep at it Pho TORONTO!
Not the best pho place I went to to be honest. The chicken pho and the fresh rolls werent good. The soup was very watery barely any taste . The only good thing was the coconut water.
We ve been visiting Pho Toronto for almost two years. Even before it was called Pho Toronto. Anyways, most of the time the food is well prepared. We always get the rare beef pho (P4). It s always been thin slices of beef, but this time, it was half fat. It looked gross. All three of us were disappointed, and I m fairly sure they mistakenly gave us beef flank instead of rare beef. When I brought it to the waiter s attention, he simply said the flanks and the rare beef is the same. It was a monthly event for us to go here, but we won t be going anymore. The deep fried rolls are very good.
Excellent pho! Ordering process was a little strange, but the food was fantastic with such beautiful presentation!
Dont waste your money. They gave me the wrong order and worst part is they serve me pasta noodles instead of pho. Never going back to this place again.
As a Vietnamese person, I am always on the lookout for delicious authentic Vietnamese food, and Pho Toronto does not disappoint! Their bun (vermicelli) dishes are fresh, bountiful, and delicious. Top marks for their Banh Mi sandwiches, which I find more flavourful than the ones you can find in Chinatown. I would also recommend their shrimp salad which comes with huge grilled shrimp, pho bowls, and desserts.
Clean, delicious, great service. Loved it!!!
Worst service ever.
weve been coming to this location since it opnened and weve always had the pleasure of experiencing great food and service. It is a family owned company and wed want to take this momment out to say thank you very much for everything! I do reccommend this location very much! It is quite delicious and authentic.
We had their fresh rolls as a snack and they were delicious and very fresh!
This is a new sister restaurant of Pho Vietnam near midland and finch. I personally find the pho here to be slightly saltier, more oily and there are less toppings. I prefer their other restaurant. There is a 10% grand opening discount at the moment.
Ordered Beef rice noodles p1 & p10. Loved it. Great prices.
Best damn pho Ive ever had
Tried the pork Vermicelli and beef pho (I think it was p2) and both were delicious! The pho was great, service was great both times and very pleasant clean atmosphere. Only complaint, they were playing Christmas music in mid January! Lol
Pho lovers need to know that this place exists. Our usual spot closed down a few months back and we have been trying to find a replacement for quite awhile. We tried out quite a few different pho restaurants and nothing was to par. Finally we stumbled upon this place after the gym. We were skeptical at first as there were no reviews/couldnt locate online but decided to give it a go. The restaurant is brand new, with modern furnishings and an extremely nice bathroom. The pho (rare beef) and vermicelli (bbq pork with spring roll) were both terrific. The tea that accompanies the meal is perfect. The staff are extremely friendly, service is quick, they accept Apple Pay, and prices are fair. Since discovering this place, we have been back each week. Highly recommended from someone that has been eating pho for 15+ years.
Excellent pho and banh mi. Staff is always very nice
Great spot! Fantastic spring rolls, and amazing soup noodles - especially the pho, bun bo hue, and bun rieu!
Second time I came. First time the server ignored me and the place was empty. The second time the owner did not want me to sit in a booth because I had kids. When I insisted he eventually allowed me to grab a booth. He then lectured me about my kids and told me not to let them on the cushion. I did not bring my kids before. We were literally the only ones in there. It was lunch time. The broth was mediocre and the portion was non existent. I prefer the pho places on Steele. They at least give you more then half a meatball and 1 of everything they state in menu with noodles. Biggest waste of money. Left unsatisfied. My kids had the soup with meatballs and they still were hungry. Not kid friendly. Will never go there again.
Great service. Pho has lots of flavour and quite generous for a small portion. Server was very attentive
Didnt even get to try the food got here before 945 amd it was already closed
Fantastic Bánh mì and the soup is great too. Never too busy but I go in off hours.
We went to grab a quick lunch. There was a lot of selection on the menu but it was not organised properly for us to understand which Vietnam s descriptions would go with which English translation. The menu was not clear. We though we ordered two wontons egg noodle soup and a vermicelli with grill pork and spring rolls. We did not realised that we accident gave the letter for the item under. We received the vermicelli with grilled meatball, grilled chicken, ben curd with mince shrimp and an Udon noodle soup with pork hog & shrimp. We then ask the server if it was possible to change it for the right item and he said no. We tried our best to own up to our mistake and not waist the food. My friend was able to still eat the order for the vermicelli and enjoy it because it was not too far from what he originally wanted. Unfortunately, it was impossible for the bowls of Udon noddle soup. I have ate Udon noodle before and I did enjoy it but this dish was quite different. The texture was very gelatinous, and there was a chop up unknown piece of meat with all the fat, the bones and the cartilage on it I could just not eat it at all. It was way to far from anything I ever ate and it was activating my gag reflex. We explain to the server that those bowls of Udon were not to our liking in a very polite manner. He rolled his eyes and told us he would go ask. We could ear them talking in Vietnamese with a very rude tone of voice. Eventually he came back and said that he talk with the kitchen and that they confirmed we had no choice but to pay. We explained to him that we could accept paying for something that we did not eat at all because we were not able to ingest it. We did not even eat one spoon full. He rolled his eyes and took the two bowls back. When we ask if we could order the original meal we wanted he ignored us. At this point, we didn t want to stay any longer but we had to wait for our friend to finish her meal. This made the rest of our time there very uncomfortable. During that time, one of the other servers walked by and gave us the longest and dirtiest look as if we were repulsive . We eventually paid and left. They did not charge us for the two Udon soups. After this incident, we actually took the time to research if we were in the wrong to ask to change our order because we did not like it. It said that any customer that goes in a restaurant in Canada has the right to send back a meal that he is not enjoying for something else. Anyway, I can say that I will not be returning. The service was horrible.
Food was ok, Banh mi needed a bit more meat.
10:40am and doors still locked.
Good food, decent environment, clean and cozy. Menu was a bit confusing with English translations all over the place, and the waiter could be more receptive, but overall isnt such a bad place. Portion sizes are slightly bigger than what I had imagined.
