801 York Mills Rd, North York, ON M3B 1X7, Canada
Down-to-earth local family restaurant with a long menu of globally inspired dishes. Our dining room is now open and we're also currently offering take-out (call 416-445-1630) and delivery through Uber Eats, Doordash and Skip the Dishes.
The food was overpriced, and I was very disappointed. I will not be returning. It was $15 for a peameal bacon sandwich and $4 for tea.
My friend and I have gone here many times over the years because it's nostalgic for us, but the food isn't that great anymore and the prices are very high. I paid $18.95 for a small Reuben sandwich, not much meat, cheese or sauerkraut and they upcharged me $6 to get a Greek salad instead of fries as a side. Which is outrageous enough, but the salad was not even fresh when it came. And it was $4 for coffee. I think we'll have to look for another place to get together next time, with better food and lower prices.
I had the reuben sandwich and it was about the same as I remember from many years ago. The meat was a little dry, but the sandwich was ok overall. A bit small as well. The fries are quite good though.
I was in a mood for a steak and eggs, and since this place is close to my daughter’s school I decided to give it a try. I read another review about how this place caters to old people and that is true. The decor and atmosphere is like a Time Machine to long long time ago. The patrons have aged but the decor has stayed the same. Another observation to make is that, this diner has a typical “Greek restaurant” feel, I don’t know how to describe it but the vibe you get is same as when you go to Frans or other Greek owned restaurants. It’s a feel, even the smell and the menu. The prices are not the highest but are also not the lowest. Considering I was coming for a steak and eggs I thought it was a fair ask. The food actually was very good. The home fries were delicious, crispy on the outside but chewy inside and the right amount of flavour. The steak, was good enough for a diner, wasn’t expecting steakhouse quality. By comparison I eat at another diner type restaurant the week prior (will review soon) and their steak and eggs was awful. Windfields was pretty good. I give the food 5 stars. The only reason I couldn’t write a 5 star review about them was the service was a little slow and the waitress was a little unfriendly + the atmosphere like another reviewer pointed out recently it’s not a “hip/cool” place.
I’m 56 years old. I think I lowered the overall average age to 83 when I entered. Because of the age group they cater to, the serving size is 1/2 the going size. The price to serving size is also out of proportion. But it is ok. Unless you are over 70 years old or with someone over 70, you will feel out of place. I wouldn’t go back. Well, not for about 20 years.
Drove a bout 20 minutes from downtown to try out this place for the first time. We ordered the ordinary breakfast “ Special No. 1” with 3 eggs, beacons, hash browns, buttered toasts and juice. Additionally share an order of pancakes. The foods were all good, besides the tiny hair found in my eggs, it was all good. Especially the thin looking pancakes were very spongy, so delicious Service was also good, again a one man show waitress who runs the floor outside of the kitchen, and she did not miss a single nail. Will come again and give them business for sure.
Breakfast is very tasty and hearty 8/10. Staff are friendly and quick 9/10. Souvlaki is not very tasty, 6/10. Cheeseburger was alright 7/10. Overall it's a good spot for breakfast items but prices are a bit high for me for everything else so I'm not sure if I can recommend it.
Went for Birthday brunch! Omelets were delicious and the french toast was nice and light. Although the quantity seemed a bit short for the price. Service was good as well. A nice little family restaurant.
Prices have really increased since COVID. Staff still very friendly. Ordered large Caesar salad, lettuce not the freshest. Calamari a bit undercooked. Thanksgiving dinner looked pretty good, in hindsight we should have ordered one. Food
I have been going to this restaurant for years and am always impressed with the food and service. Staff is always friendly, food is good, and the atmosphere is nice. I personally love the salmon from here.
Very friendly atmosphere, the service is fast and efficient. We tried a Benedict and a combo, the potatoes were very good! Food
The best food in toronto and the atmosphere is simultaneously the best.
Great family restaurant and roomy place to meet up with friends without the loud music. Free parking.
I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. The staff there is rude and impolite, the service leaves much to be desired. The speed of service depends on race - this is unacceptable.
Great place to eat and great service
Our go to a place in Toronto, and love their prime rib sandwich. And the service is always great!
Old school diner which makes you feel at home. Cozy and relaxing vibes. Food is delicious and generous portions. We had steak and chicken parmigiana and both tasted amazing. Their fries and roasted potatoes are yummy! Will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.
First time eating at this restaurant. Our server at Windfield s Restaurant was very nice and professional. The atmosphere is nice too. The food was just OK. We had the calamari which was somewhat greasy and we had Windfield s special and it felt buttery and heavy. The three stars are for the food and the fact that it was pricey compared to the quality and quantity of the food
Excellent food, well prepared, prices are normal. I recommend this restaurant as the food is very well prepared and tasty. I had a steak sandwich and shared a salad! Go and enjoy. I did!!
Classic and delicious
I had the eggs Benedict. One of the worst I have had. The English muffin wasn t toasted, nothing was done to the ham(it wasn t even warm) the eggs were very small and the Hollandaise tasted like it came from a packet. The fries had some kind of coating on them. How are is it to make fries.
We ordered the beef dip, chicken souvlaki and shared a slice of coconut cream pie. No doubt the food is prepared fresh everyday
I love this Family Restaurant Ive been going there since I was a little girl with my grandparents eggs benedict is the best I highly recommend this restaurant
Best breakfast in town! The eggs Benedict are amazing! I ALWAYS try eggs Benedict in every place I go and this one has to be one of the best!
Every Wednesday I come from Brampton to eat their tasty chicken souvlaki dinner! The service is also really good Rania was amazing!! Its such a great family restaurant, see you next week Windfields!!
Great place for the horse lover.
Nice place. Not cheap, but not expensive either. Limited time remains for their operation as someone said a condo is being built there in about a year.
Such a lucky find for breakfast! Renata, our server, was very friendly and she was a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend the eggs benedict; it comes with the best Hollandaise sauce Ive ever had in a restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I loved the horse theme in the decorations. I would definitely come back!
I absolutely love Windfields! The food is always amazing but what makes it enjoyable is the service. I was there for lunch yesterday and Rania was my server. She is awesome! Always happy, smiling and going out her way to make sure the customer is satisfied. A true gem. Keep up the good work.
Found this gem. Has the feeling of a cozy family restaurant that I used to go as a child. Food is delicious and staff are so friendly. Have two kids and it s a great place to take both of them for a meal. We went for breakfast and dinner options and was great overall.
My wife and I like coming here. There eggs Benedict is amazing. Parking: Theres parking in front . But also on the side of the restaurant. Food : 5/5 |
It s your typical Greek-Canadian version of a diner. Food was ok, service rocked. Only concern: $3.75 for a fountain soda (Coke in a pint glass) no refills. I ve heard of places gauging, now I m seeing it. Shameful.
The food was tasty and the portions good.
Good coffee, good food, fast service.
Mmmmmm Greek breaky
Part part of a large group but the service was friendly and efficient. The food arrived in good time and was satisfying for all. Must try the onion soup! Quiet and low-key atmosphere.
Food was tasteless and too much batter on calamari that I had ordered.
Love this local institution! We have been in the area for a couple of years now and we just recently went to try Windfields, finally! You really feel like you re part of the family when you re there. Lots of regulars and it s no wonder, the food is fantastic! So many classics done so well- there is something for everyone in your family. You can t go wrong with this neighborhood gem!
We love this local gem. Warm family run business full of smiles when you walk in! The souvlaki is delicious and what a treat to share a saganaki OPA ! With the family!
This local family-owned gem is a great place to dine - kid friendly and lots of variety. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere create a welcoming environment, making every visit a pleasurable experience. If youre a fan of delicious food and a welcoming ambiance, this is the spot for you!
Very good food
WOW...you know the place has a strong clientele when you walk in and there is a sign that states we are going to be in business for a long time so please book your party First time visiting this mom and pop restaurant. The atmosphere is classic comfort and the food is amazing with generous portions. When we asked our server Rania ( who I might add was amazing) if the village salad was enough for 2 to share, Rania confidently said yes before making sure we understood this was the OG village salad ...well it was enough for 3 maybe even 4...and it didnt disappoint...like everything we ordered. Dont be concerned it the steak in the steak sandwhich is tender .... it is. My suggestion ....bring your appetite or you will be bring some home. Food is top notch, prices are good value and ask for Rania, she will make your dining experience great.
Love the breakfast options here. Portions are big! Be prepared!
Just ate lunch here. Wonderful service and delicious food. We had chicken souvlaki, club (made with real Turkey!) and a Ruben sandwich. Everything was delicious, everyone who worked there was really nice. Will return!
Just all round great place to eat!!!
We are eating breakfast here currently. The food is good and the staff are amazing. Rania was our server and she was fantastic! Everybody that works here seems so nice and happy to work here. It s a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this place Parking: Great parking?
The old white lady with very short hair (boy cut) does not know how to talk to customers. Way too disappointed!
Extensive menu with lots of entree options. Classic diner feel with good service and and tasty food. We came during the lunch hour during the weekend and it was busy! Come before 11am for the breakfast special or before 2pm for the sandwich special.
This is a very nice neighbourhood restaurant. It is general North American with Italian and greek entries as well. Service is really good. Food is tasty and very quick. I was here 20 yr ago with my parents as Mom had stopped cooking. Food has improved a lot since those days but the menu is still full of variety and lots of choice.
I went there on a Saturday evening for dinner, and had the hot turkey dinner, on bread, the quiilty was just awful, not to mention the taste, it came with mashed potatoes they were probably from a package, and the very vegetables looked like they were dead, they were completely, boiled the life out of them., sorry but it s so true,
Nice family restaurant Good food, friendly staff more parking at the back
Had a wonderful lunch here today. Our server (RANIA) went above and beyond to help. The meal was made so much better by her helpfulness. Wheelchair accessibility: There was no problem getting my friends wheelchair in and out.
Pretty good spot for breakfast. Lunch is meh. Clubhouse sandwich unspectacular and frozen fries a low point. But the steak and eggs pictured was quite tasty and a good proce. Breakfast specials range from $12-$20. They include a lot of food. The sausages > the bacon.
Took takeout for Mothers Day. She had a jubilee salad that was massive while I enjoyed a banquet burger with fries. We both had enough for a second meal the next day.crazy busy but again, mothers day so I highly recommend it!!!
Cool spot, owner was really friendly and so was the staff. Love the theme and homage to horse racetrack victories! Definitely will be back
Amazing place, HUGE portions, and so so tasty. This place doesnt mess around
So lovely !!
Order on Uber eats the food is always well packaged and good quality. Try the chicken souvlaki.
Best restaurant ever. Service is great and the meals are fantastic Parking: Great spots Food : 5/5 |
Fairly typical breakfast type restaurant. I ve rated 2 stars on the service aspect, as my male companion witnessed one of their male servers use the facilites and did not wash his hands when leaving. Eww. Maybe this was a one-off or a rare occurrence, but somewhat dampened our visit. The individual serving us was fine.
Will not be returning. Windfields used to be my favorite restaurant, would go there with my family every weekend. Now its awfully overpriced for such mid-tier food. Portions have shrunk too. The last straw was when I was last there, the owner of the restaurant played Greek music on his phone during my entire meal. I would only ever go there for a nice quiet meal. I cant possibly understand the logic of noise polluting your own restaurant and ruining your customers experience. Im sure the music will sound great in an empty restaurant.
This is about property management: difficult to find a place to lock an ebike. Only 2 posts and one is behind the garbage bin with, little room for it to stand safely, theres no ramp so a back, knee, leg injury is likely when trying to lift 50+ lbs onto the curb.
Great location for a breakfast for business meetings.
Cozy restaurant, thrilled to have such a good brunch spot in our area. One of the best eggs benny Ive had in a while. Flavours were on point! We both scarfed down the food. Will be back again!
This was my first time at this restaurant.I was very impressed with service. Staff was friendly. They made me want to go back again.
Quite an underwhelming experience, food was quite mediocre considering the prices and the decor hasnt been updated in a few decades. Service was pretty good but generally, this place needs some improvement.
Terrible food and greases.
Is time to do some renovations...looking to old and not inviting. Been there hundreds of times. A little make make over... Would wonders.
Old style diner/restaurant with great food and staff. Love eating here. Reminds me of what restaurants used to be: down to earth staff, tasty food at a good price.
Nothing special.
The Best Egg Benedict in Canada & USA! We ve tried Egg Benedict everywhere we go for last 20 years. This the best one as of yet!
tasty and convenient diner food, they are very generous with their portions, everything feels kind of home-cooked, I highly recommend their breakfast home-fries and pancakes!
Consistently delicious all day breakfast. Always leave feeling full and satisfied! Service is always extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
I ordered the steak sandwich on a french stick with french fries and a chicken noodle soup (soup was free which was quite generous). Needless to say, all of the items I ordered were delicious. Windfields is a restaurant that you dine at for life. Thank you Windfields for never disappointing!
So the food was solid, but something is wrong with the prices. Individual Gravy for $3.95? What? Tiny cup of coffee for $3.50? Huh? Slice of Cheesecake for $9.95? Really? Prices should be $1.99 for gravy, $1.50 for coffee, $6.99 for cheesecake. I was a regular customer but I think its likely that we wont be returning as the prices just dont make sense for diner style.
The food was always good years ago when I lived here, and it still is. Have enjoyed.prime rib, this time souvlaki.
My most favorite diner/restaurant great food generous portions great prices and very nice wait staff
One of the best breakfast places
Just literally walked out the door and enjoyed another heartwarming meal. I usually go for the pasta and shrimp dinner starting with calamari and bruschetta and my husband goes for the chicken souvlaki dinner. These are some of the best food items on this menu hands-down! The chicken souvlaki is always delicious and fresh, and nothing can beat the shrimp at this place. But, what I enjoy about most coming here, is the lovely service and the wonderful serving staff. Thank you so much for all that you do for my family.
I must ve ordered the wrong dish, because I thought this restaurant was one of worst I ve ever eaten at. I had to go to Harvey s after because I ate one quarter of my Turkey club and couldn t stomach the rest. The turkey was so dry it crumbled in my mouth and there was no seasoning on anything. The fries were the best part of meal and I can get those from Costco any day. My husband had the pork souvlaki and ended up with a mouthful of fat on his first bite. The rest of his pork was ok hence the two stars. Also, the place needs a serious deep clean. There were dust bunnies and old, hardened food littering the floor by the windows. I really am flabbergasted by all these positive reviews, but I can t bring myself to give this place another shot.
Wonderful restaurant family run for many years, Excellent food, wonderful servers with great attention and comforting atmosphere. A pleasure to visit!
Been earing there since I was kid with my Grandma! Love the food!
Good
They charged us $4 for a piece of extra toast with a full meal. Outrageous.
Our favourite breakfast place.
A great family friendly restaurant with delicious food , everything we ordered was really good and big portions , even 3 of us couldn t finish 1 pasta . One thing only it s too busy , they basically don t have time to give you even a bill , waited for it for more than 10 min . Note: better all at once cos you won t have second chance and will wait for really long time additional dishes. Oh and forgot a coffee which we reminded couple of times . They obviously need more waiters .
Amazing prices & great service. Took my mom there for her birthday last week. She didnt want to sit inside but they accommodated us outside on the patio after the lunch rush at a nice table. Food arrived quickly!
Have you ever wanted to experience what it was like to eat in the non smoking section of a family restaurant in 1987? If so, this is the place for you!
Great food and staff were really friendly!
I have eaten here a number of times over the course of years quite consistent the food was great salads were fresh and lots of it.service was very good The only drawback was a little girl with issues.four out of five.
Good breakfeast and dinner. The service is great.
Lack of Stuff, sitting here for over 30 minutes and asking for several times with no one response.
Always great food and service. Very cosy family owned restaraunt with a lot of parking spots around the building.
Quality at this place has really gone down. $20 for an egg benny and the sauce was still semi solid. My glass of water also came with lipstick. Really disappointed
Delicious food, great service and and very friendly environment.
The food was hot and delicious! Ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner and there was a ton of food! The waitress was pleasant, but not overly attentive. Parking: Lots of parking available.
Really basic breakfast, not that tasty and too expensive. Staff very nice
Had an amazing experience. Very good service by Chris. He was very considerate and recommended the best items from the menu.
So its an owners place dating back, breakfast is just awesome, sandwiches are like incredible, great service, and you know if police eats there - gotta be a good spot!)) Hidden gem really, if they ever like update the interior I think its going to turn into a new hot destination:))
When the service is excellent, the food tastes even better. Little waitress Maria is amazing
Five-star pancakes. Ordinarily Id subtract one star for takeout syrups but alas, tis a COVID thing...
The food was ok, not great. Got a breakfast and a steak sandwich and neither of us really enjoyed them enough to finish. The worst part however was the service. The place was almost empty and yet we could never get the server to come by to order, get more coffee or the bill. Ended up just going up to the front when they were taking care of a takeout order and saying we need to please pay already. Will not be coming back
One of the best breakfast places in this area
It was nice rediscovering this reasonably priced family restaurant.
My fiance and I had breakfast this morning and I must say there is nothing there for me to bragg about. The tea pot was very dirty, the omlette was made with burnt oil, no ingrediant was fresh, had to load it with tobasco to take it, potato was dry and burnt, and the bill was out of this world. One set of extra toasts which by the way was extremely small in size for $4.75, coffee where everywhere is included with breakfast cost us $3.50 each, and one extra egg cost us $2.95. Never ever bother with this place again. They are serving mostly elderly and I think they are scaming them poor elderlies. Saeid
Kid-friendliness: Our server was AMAZING. Best service weve gotten a long time.
This is a gem of a place in the heart of North York! Aside from the service is which is top notch, the prime rib & chicken souvlaki is to die for! The portions are amazing for the price you pay! This is a family owned business so you can tell the love they put into everything they do here! Can t wait to go back!
A+ comfort food, quiet and comfortable environment.
The restaurant serves the best food in town! Love how clean and tidy the restaurant is and the ambience is the best. Their staff are very attentive and welcoming. If you are in the area be sure to dine in here.
Good food. Great service. Not too crowded. Had great discussions.
My parents took me this morning. The staff knew them well so were exceptionally friendly. The food was tasty and the portions were hearty. Looking forward to my next visit.
I love the very special team of whom make Windfields tick. Take good care of that. Carrie.
Imagine paying $18.95 for this Bolognese, so plain, no flavor at all. Ordered $52.86 in total, couldn t even finish ONE thing because everything is just disgusting. Overpriced and unprofessional restaurant, do better.
Delicious food with large portions for an affordable price! We absolutely love this family run business as the service is fantastic and the manager goes out of his way to accommodate and welcome you.
Open most of Xmas holiday week 2020. Easy pick up or delivery options! Good food. A great neighbourhood restaurant. Whole family feasted courtesy of Uber eats during Covid recently -- rack of lamb, lamb souvlaki, grilled chicken salad... Everyone kept stealing the French fries (order extra). Excellent be take out for lunches too. Chain restaurants dont hold a candle to their flavour and value for your money.
Loved it as usual, food is amazingly great, people are loving and caring... You pay for big portions of amazing food.
Foods very good. Prices are a little high for what they are, but the food is fresh and taste amazing. You get what you pay for. Good breakfast and coffee.
Cool
Great food, great value.
The breakfast and service is excellent..nice patio, amazing food!
Best chicken ceasar salad & garlic bread Ive had in ages!
I absolutely love and adore Windfields!! Restaurants like this are becoming few and far between in this city. Nice family style dining with a lovely staff. Very reminiscent of the past. They serve large portions so youll never leave hungry. Always a delicious and nostalgic dining experience.
tbh, the food quality is very low. From the pink cold chicken to the drenched in butter cold rice to the dry potatoes including the tzatiki are all just low quality, over priced, food. We also had the flavorless Turkey club house that was made poorly. I think they can do much much better. Over priced and unfortunately tasteless. Personally I would never eat here again, but thats me. Thank you for reading, good luck.
Always happy going there
Good breakfast options. Nice eggs benedicts. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch.
Great restaurant . . . . if you like old peoples food. Food is bland, the fare is pretty basic and the wait staff seem to require repeated instructions. If you want to get that authentic retirement home cooking experience, come here. Otherwise, dont bother.
Went with a group of 10 people. Service great and so was the food
Met for brunch at 11am and given the breakfast menu. I ordered the pancake, sausage and OJ combo. The pancakes were generous, sausages juicy, but no orange juice. I commented they forgot the juice and was told since I ordered after 11am, its not included-even though the wait staff gave me the morning menu... It eventually came, but its not fresh squeezed, nor cold. The syrup for the pancakes is fake maple flavoured. So much room for improvement!
Our favourite breakfast restaurant- because of the food, the atmosphere, and the service.
PROS: portions are very large, reasonably priced, big menu, good service, roomy inside, good patio, friendly atmosphere. CONS: the food does lack some flavour and finesse (I m not pretentious with my food so the fact that I m saying this means it really does lack seasoning) but if you re looking for just something safe and predictable and wanting to go to bed with a belly full of lovely carbs, this place is for you. Lots of older folks which keeps things family friendly and diner-like. Most likely will only come back as a second choice but I still need a big meal.
Decided to try this place out today as we were across the street at Coras and wanted to change things up for breakfast. What a great decision! Ordered the special#1 breakfast that came with a glass of OJ (fresh squeezed, not from concentrate), tea/coffee, 3 eggs, 3 sausages, toast and home potatoes that were crispy outside but soft and hot inside. All for $11.25 + txs, I can tell you its probably one of the best breakfasts I have had (quality, taste and price wise). Plus, service and waitress were super nice and friendly.
Food was good Service was great
Great Family Restaurant!
Service was so slow and disorganized that we left before even being offered drinks.
Very traditional diner. Great for nostalgia value.
Excellent service, booths have plexiglass partitions. Will go back.
Not bad
Iconic & really good food
I come to this restaurant for special and social occasions. The food before the pandemic was delicious!! Im not sure exactly what happened because their pork souvlaki before the pandemic, was flavorful and not pink. My pork souvlaki was pink today and they used pork shank instead... or some different cut of pork. It wasnt as tasty and it was dry... and pink? I hope mine was cooked properly. Maybe today was an off day so Ill give them another chance... but look at the difference between before and after the pandemic... these are the same dishes, pork souvlaki.
Best spot for good family cooking, service and atmosphere. Also amazing all day breakfast!
Delicious breakfast and a lovely waitress who provided great service.
Price is way too high for average quality breakfast food. $25 for 2 pieces of peameal with 3 eggs is ludicrous. UPDATE: Looks to me like breakfast can be had at Dundas and University for half price! Not sure how North York demands double the price as downtown...
Nice homestyle place. Good souvlaki
What a great experience at this place...food was fabulous I will give it a 10 & our waitress was also a 10. She was so attentive, kind & she knew her job. Its actually so nice to see that in the restaurant business there are still some really fabulous servers. Maria thank you We will definitely be back to see you & eat the fabulous food. Thanks again for the excellent experience.
Very friendly staff. Super fast service even when packed with diners. Very good breakfast food.
Run down, old style greasy spoon with no redeeming ambiance Prices are not competitive and food is just ok Hard to believe that this place still exists
Great family restaurant. Should have a less pricey menu for older folks who are not that wealthy.
Ive been coming here since the 90s. The food is great and staff is friendly. I have never had a bad meal. Big fan of the all day breakfast or Reuben
Best eggs benedict
Thanks,Irene and Paula,Just had a great takeout of fish and chips on Good Friday Many thanks for being able to provide takeout during this time of the virus. Wishing everyone at Windfields well.Youre the best. Linda and Dave Dean
Excellent as always
Great restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff! The Calamari is the BEST Ive had in the city! The closest Ive had to calamari in Greece. I would order this 100% of the time. I use DoorDash to order delivery from Windfields at least twice a week!
The Pork Souvlaki and their tzatziki is the best Ive ever had! The portion sizes are large, which is perfect for sharing/leftovers. The price point is very reasonable and the staff/family atmosphere is warm and welcoming. This is one of my familys favourite spots- quite the hidden gem, I highly recommend it!!!
We had take out of Spaghetti Bolognese and it was good. It came with garlic bread. The sauce was homemade and was not watery.
sub par, over priced, same layout as 1988 but not retro , much better options
Love this place!!
Great food, great staff, reasonable price for food. Definitely drop by if youre in the area.
Great service. Huge portions. Juicy and well seasoned lamb. Loved it!!!!! Definitely going back there soon
Love the authenticity and family feel of the place but man is the food ever mediocre. Need to slim down the menu and focus on core competencies as opposed to do many things just OK. Service is always great but food is sloppy with little to no quality control.
Get the French onion soup
Good Food, Good Service
totally DELISHes...great, great service !!! very recommendable..!!!
My personal favorite local diner, super nice and friendly staff, fast and well done service and of course, awesome food. The early bird breakfast menu has great pricing as well. If youre there for lunch and dinner, make sure you try the fajita. 10/10
Have gotten takeout breakfasts and lunches from this gem of a diner and the food is wonderful as ever. If you can, call them directly and pickup your order (cheaper prices than online AND I suspect the restaurant saves on fees, too). Or dine in their patio! I highly recommend the all day breakfast and chicken souvlaki.
Nice place. Many customers are of mature age and many days there is a line up to get in.
They have done a good job with the heaters and staff are well masked. The eggs benedict egg was not runny otherwise everything else was good especially the chocolate cake.
Loved it.
Best place in the area for traditional breakfast. Friendly service.
The Windmill Restaurant has some of the best breakfast potatoes in Toronto. The staff are very polite, and courteous. The atmosphere was great, and they have a wide selection of delicious meals to pick from.
Good quality of food. Decent proportion. Clean. Delicious. Fresh. Friendly waitresses and employees. Definitely one of the best breakfast diners in Toronto
