We held a memorial lunch a few weeks ago. The service at the restaurant was excellent. The hosts were exceedingly friendly, polite, and well organized, making us feel at home. We would like especially to acknowledge and thank Ms. Parastoo and Parya, as well as Mr. Farzan, for their assistance and service. They were incredibly friendly, kind and knowledgeable as hosts. The cuisine, dessert, and beverages were all amazing as promised. We recommend this restaurant for any occasion in need of delicious and great meals, you will not be disappointed.

They charge you 18% tip on a 6-seat table! We were 4 adults and 2 kids, and had to pay 50 CAD for tip, and the food was only OK, nothing special.

We organized my fathers celebration of life ceremonies at Zaffron. With some 80 guest invited to the event. The restaurants manager and staff were accomodating; they found solutions for all allergies and food intolerances. The food quality was amazing, one of the best Iranian cuisine in Toronto. The restaurant is filled with natural light, the new decor is sober and welcoming. The service is top nutch and M. Eskandari and the staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. There are enough parking space in the front and the back. They help us with setting our speakers and the TV for pictures. Every single guest was happy with the food and services. And my family and I are gratful for how Zaffrons team helped us to make this event go well so we can cherish our fathers memories.

We ve been loyal customers of Zaffron for years as a family, but when it came time to host a large event, they exceeded every expectation from the very beginning! From the moment I called to ask a few questions they took care of every detail, making the entire planning process seamless. On the day of the event, everything ran like clockwork. The venue was beautifully arranged, the staff attentive and professional, and the food easily some of the best Persian cuisine in Toronto! They managed the flow of the event perfectly, ensuring that everything stayed on schedule without ever feeling rushed. What truly stood out was their warmth and genuine kindness, evident in their smiles before, during, and after our event. They took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life flawlessly. Hi dear, I visited Zaffron restaurant todayfrom Mississauga , and I realy liked the service, very nice and friendly staff, we were in hurry and we order take out, I ordered 4 plates of Koobeedeh Kabab and Nan, the take out pack were very nice and neat, beside that they gave me 4 bottle of coca cola,which I didnt ask for it, I like the taste of kabobs.it was my first visit at this place and I realy recommend to all. My family and I have been zaffron customers for several years. The experience both eating at the restaurant as well as take out or delivery has always been extraordinarily amazing. The food and the service has always been exceptional. The owners and support staff are always attentive and readily go above and beyond in ensuring that all our needs are met and consistently exceeding our expectations. For those dinning in, there is ample parking in the back of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Regretting why I spent even a dollar there, I mean the food was quite good, but not all of them and the stuff was terrible for me. Check the delivered food for take out before tou leave! They cant get your order right. Push them to be specific about the kitchen working hours. Generally i have a negative experience with take out from this place. Perhaps if you sit and eat there, the experience will be different

The food was decent although I ve had better kebab, but the service and atmosphere left something to be desired. The air conditioning was not working sufficiently thus the inside of the restaurant was incredibly warm.

I wanted my friend to try something different, as hes not as adventurous with food as I am. Although I had never been to a Persian restaurant before, I had made Persian dishes like Kuku Sabzi and Ghormeh Sabzi at home. So, I was also interested in trying Persian cuisine at a restaurant. We chose this place because it was just five minutes away from our location. Here s my review: **Atmosphere/Interior:** The interior was clean and newly renovated, with a calm atmosphere that felt upscale, similar to an Italian restaurant. My friend, who lives nearby, even thought it was an Italian restaurant until today. The only distinctly Persian element was the Iranian music playing on TV. **Food:** We ordered Naan and Kabob, which we were already familiar with, and Fesenjan (a sweet and sour Iranian chicken stew) as an experimental dish. Both were okay. The kabob could have used a bit more fat to make it juicier, and the Fesenjan might have been better with dark meat instead of chicken breast. We probably wouldn t order the Fesenjan again, but dark meat could have made it more enjoyable. **Service:** The service was satisfactory. The server checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.

We gathered here together with a number of deaf friends. We saw in the photos of this restaurant that they have tables where we can gather and see eachother better, but when we entered, we did not see such a circle table. When we raised this issue with the staff, they said that this is no longer possible. It doesnt have and these tables are for before. We asked them to arrange the tables so that we could see each other better, they refused and made no effort to make the space accessible for the deaf. We were satisfied with the quality of the food and the behavior of the staff was relatively good, but in the end they added an 18% tip to each bill, which they said was mandatory. The toilet area and the stairs were not very clean and there was no proper ventilation Vegetarian options: Kashke bademjan

Farzan and Al were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make my mom and I feel so welcomed while waiting for our delicious meal. Highly recommend their delicious Persian tea and lovely desserts in addition to any of their amazing dinner plates. We ll definitely be back! Thank you guys for wonderful service.

Came back in 2024, both food and service are amazing. Ez update from 4 to 5 stars. 2023 comment: Food is to die for! Portions are good too. Price is slightly on the high end, but it is not too bad. Something I found quite scummy hence the 4 star, my table asked for water and we strangly received bottled water. And we were charged extra! The bottled water was super expensive BTW.

I was really surprised that in this restaurant they charge you 18% of the tip without your consent, and secondly, their service was awful, that is, they forced a glass of water for the children, and thirdly, their rice was very greasy.

Ordered Baghalipolo with Lamb Shank and the food was so bad that I couldn t finish it. The meat smelled but the rice was ok.

This is the oldest iranian restaurant in toronto and by far the best of them. U can expect the high quality and tasty iranian cuisine at here. They have many varieties of food including all type of kebabs and other traditional persian dishes. They even have iranian pizzas and burgers. I almost tried all of them and everytime enjoyed their great foods. Highly recommended

So disappointed with the portion and quality! I ordered through Uber and when I opened the box there was a hair in my rice! I know this was a buy one get one free but the portion is almost half of regular order. If I knew this I would order some thing else at least!

In GTA, you can get delicious Persian stew from either being part of a Persian family or going to a few select restaurants. As I do not have access to the former, I was referred by my Persian friend to come here. And it did not disappoint! Best Fesenjoon stew Ive ever had. The Koobideh skewer, and especially the eggplant kebab were also incredible. We also really enjoyed the bread and barley soup. Finally, a pleasant surprise from the rice - it has an incredible crispy crust (I think this is an authentic Persian style). We are definitely going back! Vegetarian options: You will love the barley soup, and especially the eggplant dish. Parking: There is more parking in the back. Enter via Moore Park Avenue.

I went to this restaurant for a very first time, but my partner been there before We both agreed quality wasn t the greatest.( he mentioned used to be very good but not anymore)ghormesabzi had a reasonable flavor but kebabs had lack of Smokey flavour, and rice wasn t good either. Bread was stale, and kashk bade Jan not enough seasoning and salt, Doogh tasted like blended yogurt and water and not tasty at all. Although our server which was a young lady , she was very respectful, sweet and welcoming

The music was way too loud and as someone with ocd it was super repetitive and annoying, completely ruined the ambiance. The rice had no flavour tasted like rocks. The barg and koobideh were too oily and tasted like animal fat. For the price you re better off driving a little farther and going to naeb.

Chicken tasted bitter we were and they charged us an extra 40$ to open a table . I dont mind paying for something once the quality matches the price .. but honestly stay away you will end up paying more for something you could buy cheap

We had a wonderful time at Zaffron. It was our first time trying Persian food and the server explained everything and made excellent recommendations. On the way back to our Airb&b we stopped and bought some saffron sugar as a result of the tea she recommended. The special birthday surprise was completely understand expected and delicious. I have never been SO full.

Terrible service. We had asked a question about whether there was wheat in the koobiedeh and the server didn t know. We asked to check with tcook or the manager andthe server started to get upset. The manager refused to acknowledge our question and was speaking over us. We were taking out catering, and one of our guests was gluten intolerant l. The whole interaction was excessive for a simple question about their menu. Seemed as if they didn t know anything about what was in the food they were serving.

When it comes to Persian food and community nostalgia, Zaffron could be considered a corner-stone. The location, food, atmosphere, staff and management all contribute to what could be described as Persian Perfection... We use any excuse to go there for the incredible food (who wouldnt?!), but we also enjoy holding our private parties there. Our most recent experience was better than ever. A classic birthday party that wouldve cost a fortune in other venues ended up being both memorable and affordable. We couldnt have asked for more. The management (Mr. Tinoosh) and staff are top-notch. The food is the best money can buy in Toronto and the location is extremely convenient. Well be back (maybe tonight?!)

We had a party and we ordered baghali polo and kobideh, which were packed in the best way and althoug our house is far from the restaurant, the food stayed warm. food was delicious, Mr. Tinoosh who is manager of restaurant was very friendly and helpful, all staff were kind and respectful , It was a good experience for us and I recommend it highly.

Pros: Chicken and kebabs were well-cooked and tender. Accompanying sauces were delicious. Cons: Restaurant was not clean, chairs were rickety. Only one server, who was slow and not efficient. There was a small dead cockroach in the bowl with the brown sugar packets. Utterly disgusting. Will never go there again.

The location was split between a party room, completely empty but lights flashing and set up, and a dining room by a curtain. Furniture taken straight out of the 1980s. The server was nice when dealing with me but did not fill up my water glass for 15 minutes while I waited. The starter bread was take it or leave it, but the garlic bread I ordered was actually very good as were the two kebabs on bread. This place seems better for couples, and formal wear. Food was really good! However, service could be better. We specifically asked if our dishes came with basmati rice since it was written on top of the menu and our server confirmed that rice IS included with the nan and kebab. Food came and there was no rice, turns out, only bread was included. Second, my friends order 3 ginger ale and asked for the canned ones but our server gave us 2 bottled ones and 1 canned ginger ale. But it s ok, she changed it after we asked her to. Third, we asked if we could get split bills based on our orders but our server gave us one bill and just divided everything equally into 6. We wanted split bills because we each had different orders with different prices and some even ordered drinks while some did not. When she came back the second time, the bills she gave us didn t have the correct orders per person. Only one of our friend was correct so he already paid his. After this, we just asked if we could get one whole bill and we ll just manually compute our bills ourselves but they had to deduct our friend s bill from our bill since he already paid for his. The third time we got our bill, they added a gratuity fee (which was not included originally in our first bill!) Our server never mentioned any gratuity fee to us and what s worse is that the gratuity fee was based on the individual bills she gave us before. So we had to pay 6 gratuity fees in total on top of our original bill. Would come back maybe for take out, but definitely won t be dining again because of the service. Maybe server was new, but hopefully she ll be better next time.

I used to order from this restaurant from Uber eats. But lately my order is incomplete, or missed ingredients in one dish. The last drop was the last time when they cancelled my order without notifying because on of the dishes in the order was sold out. I found through the app 40 minutes later. Food is OK to medium lately so not ordering from them again. Talked to the manager and only got lame excuses.

Today I went there with the hubby for brunch after a very long time and was very pleasantly impressed by how amazing the food is here the hostess was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the best items off the menu and we enjoyed the delicious food in a very pleasant and peaceful ambiance. This is now one of my favs for hanging out with friends and family.

We were a big group that was very happy with their meals, all dishes were tasty. Prices were expensive. They charge for extra bread . The BILL INCLUDED TIP for some reason and the change was rounded for their benefit, even if it was just 60 cents. Music was too loud.

During last year Zaffaran restaurant has a way better service and the food is getting really perfect. During Covid I had a bad experience there, and I had no intend to try it anymore . But during last 6 months every time I went there they surprised me with the quality of food and service . I really recommend this restaurant. Price and quality are very good.

My family and I visited Zaffron on Saturday, food and service (Farzad did a great job) were just great. This was not our 1st visit and definitely wont be our last. The place hasn t changed much (maybe it should?) and neither has the outstanding quality of their food (which is great!). The place itself is a bit if a mystery though - with half the menu filled with Italian dishes and half the location set up as an event venue. I have gone there multiple times alone, with family, and also as part of a bigger dine-around group and have always had a great evening/meal. The food is always great and the hospitality warm and inviting. A few dishes worth recommending + Kashkeh Bademjaan - 8/10 + Koobideh Kabab - 8/10 + Barg Kabab - 8/10 + Joojeh Kabab - 8/10 + Fesenjoon - 8/10 + Zaytoon Parvardeh - 7/10 + Zereshk Polo - 8/10 + Baghali Polo - 7/10 My only regret is that the place does not have/serve dessert. Verdict: Highly Recommended. Definitely one of the best Persian/Iranian restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). First time here. We were lucky we happen to come the day they had live iranian music(Friday night). We had filet mignon and chicken kabob with rice.delicious. we will come back.

The food was soooo good kebab was fresh and juicy appetizers was delicious and the staff were so freiendly. The music was nice. Me and my friends had lots of fun.

Food and service were great and staffs were so friendly, also music and singer were perfect! I highly recommend.
