Placed an uber order and living in Markham the service cost was alot. Ordered pupusas and didn't get the salsa or the coleslaw. This isn't the first time. Pupusas aren't the same with out it. Very disappointing won't order here again.
There are not a lot of Salvadorian restaurants in Toronto so these small family run ones are really good and have a down to earth atmosphere. The Carne Asada platter was very generous and the cheese and zucchini papusa was on point.
We had the tacos and 2 different flavours of pupusas. The tacos were absolutely delicious! Very flavourful and fresh. I preferred the cheese and zucchini pupusa over the cheese, pork and beans one just because I could taste the corn breading along with the stuffing better. Don't get me wrong, the cheese and pork stuffing was very flavourful and yummy it was just a preference thing.
This place does not look like much, just a storefront in a strip mall with hardly a sign out front, but the food was good and service was excellent. The Beef Bone soup was delicious, but I really wanted to try the cow's foot soup which was not available. The chicken was good and the included salad was fresh and delicious.
I tried this new place, and so far, I love it. Ordered Pupusas (cheese/pork & cheese/loroco), horchata & quesadilla. Pupusas are larger than the palms of your hand and have great seasoning. In the cheese/port pupusas, you can see the cheese and pork mixture. Cheese/loroco Pupusa can use a few more buds. Prefer the pork/cheese pupusa. Horchata is delicious and refreshing; if you take it out, there are about two more glasses than you may get sitting in. The real star is the quesadilla, so good, so moist. It tasted homemade. So delicious! Definitely going back for more.
First time of many visits to come. I was pleasantly surprised because I am picky and biased towards Jamaican foods. However, this food was flavourful, plenty and of very high quality 👌. The variety was amazing, and the service was great. The price was very reasonable, and I like it alot a lot a lot 😁. This is my new spot 👌 keep it up ladies . Thank you 😊
Went on a Saturday evening and place was packed. The lady who took my order advised me about the wait times. It took them about 25 mins to get my Beef Tacos ready and 4 pcs of their popular pork & cheese and Cheese & Zucchini Pupusas. The Pupusas came with cole slaw and salsa sauce. The service was great and lady was courteous. The Tacos were freshly done and the tortillas were fresh and delicious. I am more used to Mexican tacos so I believe the Salvadorians tacos are bit less seasoned and don’t come with the same toppings as the Mexican. But overall I enjoyed my food. Veg Pupusas were really good and you have to eat fresh or heat them up if doing a take out. Pork pupusas were bit greasy and also you dont feel the pork that much. My 5/5 review is basically the value and the type of food you get for the price. Also, the food was freshly prepared with home ingredients and I didn’t have any complaints with their service.
Came across this place through a random Google search. The beef tacos were my favorite, they are delicious with generous filling. Pupusa was yummy too just a bit oily. We used tons napkins to get rid of the oil. Price was super reasonable for the amount of food we received. 4 tacos for $10! Would definitely go back again!
Nice place
They are already exaggerating the prices...
Super friendly. Food comes out fast. Very good atmosphere.
I think this is my favourite restaurant. I have been here many times
Staff are rude
BE CAREFUL WITH PRICES!!! I called for pickup order and they told me $5 after they told me it s 6?? Their prices are all over the place. Online prices are $7 as well. ALSO paying with debit card there s an extra $1!!
The service threw me off as soon as I arrived the lady was rude because I asked when is a good day to come get tamales. (They did not have what was on the menu even though it was only noon). I ended up eating an overpriced greasy soup. I heard their tamales are good but with that kind of service I would rather try other places
Vegetarian options: Pupusas can be made to be the vegetarian best friend. You can also have a serving of plantain with sour cream and refried beans ( plátanos con crema y frijoles ). Parking: With parking its a little tricky it depends on what time you go to the area, its not that hard to find parking plus its pretty big and theres parking also on the side of the building. Kid-friendliness: Yes I would say it is somewhat kid friendly, they have high chairs. Wheelchair accessibility: No, this place is not wheelchair accessible, the restaurant itself is a bit crowded for someone in a wheelchair,
IT IS A GOOD RESTAURANT BUT THE WOMAN WHO SERVES THE TABLES IS EXTREMELY RUDE. YESTERDAY I WENT AT LUNCH, I REQUESTED A SERVICE AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE TABLE I THROWN IT FULL OF RAGE. BECAUSE? I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO KNOW. THE OWNERS SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO THESE ANOMALIES BECAUSE LITTLE BY LITTLE THEY END THEIR CUSTOMERS. FOR MY PART I WILL NEVER VISIT THAT PLACE AGAIN.
I love the food here, its so delicious. The atmosphere is comfortable and vibrant with Salvadoran culture. I highly recommend this place for pupusas, plantain and of course horchata.
I went to eat, they were good but it seems like they changed the pupusera.
Too expensive! Plus you have to be careful when you pay.
Food is delicious which is what you are there for! Service can be improved.
Amazing food and great service!
Theres no a/c, so it does get hot inside at times but their food is delicious.
Good service, good food, good atmosphere.
I love this place, variety of food, drinks and desserts.
Good flavor and economical
The cashier is very frustrating, the waitress is very unpleasant, they dont bring you cutlery with your food, not all of us eat with our hands, and whether or not you eat with cutlery, for customer service they bring cutlery, the service is terrible and with bad expensive, if you dont like the job, dont work and look for something you like.
The pupusas are massive and delicious. But they seem to be very busy. We ordered contodo pupusas and got frijoles and queso only. Its annoying because we came from far and cant easily turn around and ask them to give us the correct order. Check your order before you leave!
Everything very good, food, service and atmosphere, I recommend it
Fast & friendly
Latin place, 100% Spanish, good service
The truth is that I liked the seasoning, the popusas were very rich and large, also the natural fruit water was very rich and quite fruity, I also recommend the fried plantains, I had not tried them with refried beans and wow, delicious, it is worth it and we are going to return congratulations on that business
The food is good, there is a variety of dishes, but a little more customer service and more waiters are needed to serve you a little faster because the place fills up.
As Franco Escamilla would say: they sucked!! This is chicharrón with yucca!
Food great but the service horrible My son dropped a glass of juice never came to clean it awful service Food
The food is good, the only thing is the service is very slow and you almost always have to wait, I have been a couple of times and would go again however the place is very small and I feel that the tables are very close together, I have brought friends from other countries and they loved it
Everything has the authentic Latin flavor and the portions are quite large. The prices are very appropriate.
Food is always great. Service is slow like any typical latino restaurant. Not fancy yet comforting ambience and friendly staff.
We came here on the recommendation of someone. I dont live in the area but happened to be close by. I was craving pupusas and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was drab but we just got takeout. The pupusas were absolutely delicious and we got a lot of food for the price.
Great
Excellent
We buy tamales de pollo and they where really salty we couldnt eat them.
It took 40 min for 3 pupusas to be served for my husband. I ordered te breakfast and got it immediately but had to wait 40 min to eat it until my husbands door came out. Eggs were over cooked when I asked for sunny side up. Better off ordering just pupusas to go. .
The worst customer service, they shouldnt have people who hate their jobs in front of a counter, they are pedantic and lack total organization where they dont even know what your order is, I expected the food to be different from the rude treatment of their staff but Tasteless and without any flavor.
Very good food at a good price
Food is amazing, always get pupusas my favorite. I tried the Nachos con Carne, give it a try its good but youll need someone else to help you out, especially if you dont eat a lot.
Excellent attention
Good service good food
Very good place, they serve quickly and above all the food is very delicious
Very delicious, its fruit water and mixed plate is recommended.
Everything is delicious and the portion sizes are good too. They never disappoint with how good and flavourful their food and drinks are.
Food portions and taste was great ! Will definitely go again !
The delicious cheese popusas are highly recommended, they are very large to serve the dishes.
Food is great but service wow We waited for 15 minutes to get our order taken The guy who serve was watching tv and didnt pay attention to no one After we waited for 45 minutes for our food to be served I asked for forks and knife and the server dared to ask me to eat as salvadorian my pupusas ( with my hands ) I know how to eat my pupusas but it is not their job or business to treat customers as your buddies Mind your own business and let people enjoy their food He is so lazy if you visit you will know who I am referring to
Very good, the chicharrón and cheese pupusa was my favorite.
Very bad service, they take too long, the cashier charges and leaves food with dirty hands. And he delivers boxes for food and touches the inside.
They told me to wait for 20 minutes however I wait for more than an hour. They were serving tables and deliveries. I received the pupusas after I told them that I was there for more than an hour.
Good pupusas but horrible customer service, the server is so rude.....
Ordered some pupusas to go and upon pickup had a horrible customer service experience with an older small spanish lady that works there. She gave me so much attitude and spoke to me in a very condescending tone when all I asked was if she could simply add a little more red tomatoe sauce to my order of 8 pupusas (mind you.. I asked very politely). NEVER EVER ordering from there again simply because of how unprofessional she was.
Best pupus
Very economical and the pupusas are delicious
Good Pupusas, for some bizarre reason this pupuseria call pupusas revueltas to the pupusas with pork and cheese not including beans, if you want pupusas revueltas you have to ask for pupusas con todo. Their customer service sucks
The food is delicious and more than recommended. But the attention is not the best. The service is very slow.
We arrived at 10:50 and other people arrived later and it turns out that they served us last at 11:30 apparently you have to meet the owner to receive your order, Unfortunately
Delicious, great taste, great prices, fast service.
Dont like the service
Amazing pupusas, the típico breakfast is soo good. The fruit salad juice is delicious. The soups are delicious aswell. Overall everything I have eaten here is delicious. The staff make you feel like family. Great feel like home restaurant.
Love the traditional food. The pupusas have me going back. Parking: There is parking in the front and back lots of parking. Food : 5/5 |
Great food and service!
Very delicious food and excellent service
Terrible service, the old waitress does not know how to serve, she has never served in a friendly manner, she rushes you when ordering and is not attentive to any request you may have, the facilities are very dirty, mainly in the ceilings and bathrooms. I cant say anything about the food except that sometimes they change the ingredients or exclude some, but it is very delicious.
OMG!! Excellent!! Quality and Service from the Mexican waiter! Very friendly young man with that staff we always return! I fully recommend Guanaquita Wilson!! The food is very rich
Lots of product, somewhat expensive but good to have
Terrible service. They are slower than a turtle.
Very well well stocked
I was recommended to go eat at this place and I was not disappointed by the girl who served us, very friendly and decisive, the place is almost always full, the place is quite clean in general, the only thing that is a little hot even though they have fans, which is Most importantly, the food is spectacular, delicious and at a very good price.
This is the right restaurant for Mexico cuisine lover.
We ordered take out food/soup and they did not put cutlery in the bag. We have to go and asked the cashier, she said oh you have to ask for that. Long story short, if people ordered take out, common sense you guys have to put cutlery because customers will eat the food outside, otherwise we will dine in. Aren t you guys annoyed of customers asking for cutlery for all take out orders??? You gotta change your systems for take outs. Always put cutlery. You will lose customers because of the bad service aside from the long wait!!! Never again will come back here!!
The food is good, the only thing is the service is very slow and the pupusas and the food are very expensive, for example the leg soup $25.00 per plate, it wouldnt even be gold?... Parking: Is it the entire shopping center?...
The seasoning of the food is not good, the service is terrible, but they do require a tip... honestly bad service.
Delicious Salvadoran food in Toronto
Nice food and spot
Its an amazing place for el salvadorian food. The papusas are amazing. The service super friendly. My only gripe- its hot hot hot in the sit down area. Maybe buy an AC or have some fans for dine in guest. Other than that, YOU should visit this place and enjoy great food. Ill be back. Again and again.
What they sell is very rich. The only bad thing is that it gets crowded and it gets very hot inside.
Best latin american food (salvador) in Brampton !!!! Popusas are amazing
Excellent, very delicious food... and at an excellent price
The food is very delicious. Its just a bit of a wait. But its worth it
Expensive
The food is good, has a good taste but the attention is not good. I had to wait a long time to place my order and the restaurant wasnt full
Great food & services
Delicious Good prices
The best pupusas in the area. Well served and economical. Latino area. Warm and pleasant atmosphere. The special dishes are delicious and well served. Super recommended. Dont forget to order a quesadilla to enjoy with a coffee.
Great food. Portions are great. Service abit slow due to demand. Dont go if youre in a rush. Family relaxed atmosphere.
All be honest, i thought it was gonna be better then pupusa Loka however the taste wasnt there the pupusas had no flavor at all. And there over priced, I ordered some yuca con chicharon the yuca was the only thing that was crispy and barely got chicharon. The horchata and Tamarindo drinks were amazing.
The food is delicious, I only had one experience when my pupusas were raw, but I returned a few days ago. I had to wait almost 30 minutes and the truth seemed desperate So I recommend the place but if you are doing take-out, it is preferable to speak to order.
La Guanaquita is the best place you can feel like you are in El Salvador when you are eating some delicious pupusas or mixed labor or whatever you order from the menu. Come enjoy the typical food of El Salvador!!!
IF THERE WAS AN OPTION TO NOT GIVE STARS I WOULD NOT GIVE EVEN ONE. PLEASE I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO TAKE. THE FOOD IS SERVED TO YOU HOWEVER WE ORDERED CHICHARON WITH YUCA THE CHICHARON RAW AND PURE GORDO LOOK AT THE PHOTO LIKE IT CAME. $16 DOLLARS PLUS TAX FOR THAT? WE ALSO ORDERED A TAMAL AND THEY WARMED IT IN THE MICROWAVE. THE ROASTED MEAT CAME AS IF IT WERE FOR A CHILD PURE RICE. I AM DISAPPOINTED!
Excellent food!!!! And accessible in prices!!!
Always real authentic salvadorean food, love it!!!
Ive been eating pupusas for a long time from the establishment on the same street further east. Decided to try this place on a friends recommendation and was thoroughly impressed. Pupusas are delicious and pack more filling than the other place. They seem bigger as well. The filling is tasty, abundance of cheese, the cortido is delicious and balanced. Not so impressed with chicharon with Yuka. The dish was mainly yuca, with 5 pieces of meat.
Best salvadoran breakfast in town
Excellent, delicious and cheap, very well served and the food made on the spot!!!!!!
Good service, the food is very tasty, cheap and the prepared juices are very tasty, it is a nice place.
I called and the service was terrible and despotic! I asked for a product, and they didnt know the price and the girl also told me that if I wasnt going to order anything, she would hang up because she was busy!
Great food and fair prices. Definitely a hidden gem.
Delicious
Excellent place and attention
Amazing food, service was excellent. We ordered quite a few things but as a first timer I would say go for the pupusas. Grab a few and some sides and you will have a whale of a time. Give some el salvadorian drinks a try as well. Very curious note that a Kolashanpan tastes remarkably similar to a Scottish Irn Bru, this is a very good thing. Quality stuff overall, shall return in future.
Pupusa more flip-flopped and burned than disgusting
I went yesterday Thursday 8 pm the worker Anita told us that the place was close and the hours of closing was 9 pm she just didn t want to serve us we ended up going to Burger King and cheaper food
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Food was very good and cheap. I start with the customer service, it is thrown away!!!, the lady throws the plates on the table, she doesnt say hello and if you ask her for something because she gives you incomplete plates she gets angry, the helpers are another lady and a man I think they feel so intimidated by the other lady because they do everything wrong. In reality it is a terrible customer service BUT THE FOOD IM HONEST, it is delicious but with the service they give it didnt make me want to return! If you are going to have a business, give good customer service, if not, it is better not to have a restaurant and only take out.
Delicious food!!
Love getting their Beef tacos! 5/5
Food is tasty. Pupusas are large so its worth it compared to other places
Pupusas on point
The Bean Popusas with Cheese and Chicharron are very good! I do recommend those, they reminded me a little of the flavor of Mexican dough... which is missed when you are far from home!
Nice place to eat Spanish food
Delicious food, great value for your money, big portions, helpful friendly staff.
Good place to eat and good prices, there is a variety of dishes and the main thing is the delicious proposals
Excellent food good zason just a little slow but its because it gets busy in conclusion its worth the wait
