Famous Vietnamese sandwich and Bubble Tea Shop
Staff was quite rude and unwelcoming and made us feel like a burden for ordering the sugarcane juice. Their juice was overpriced at almost $9 after taxes, they did not even give a pointed straw to cut through the plastic seal (we had to puncture a hole first on our own, which was messy) and the drink frankly did not taste good at all. It was way too sweet and had no option to add any lime to cut the sweetness.
EAT HERE! Very good portions for this shop. I had the chicken Satay and tried a bite of the tofu-vegetable banh mi and both are exceptional. Fresh vegetables and delicious sauce. I got full spice which is not too spicy. They also give a discount for cash payments. There is no sitting room but they play very good Vietnamese music. There was also a bunch of extra shop items for purchase that were neat.
First time having such a refreshing banh mi stuffed with herbs and veggies. I like that this place uses slimmer bread and toasts it when you order so it's nice and warm. It's definitely not on the cheaper side starting at $6 a piece. They accept all forms of payment, which is rare to see at banh mi shops.
I ordered the beef satay bahn mi on Ubereats. Unfortunately due to traffic, it got to me cold. Overall, I thought the flavour was good. The beef was a bit tough, but the spice level was perfect. I would probably order it again.
Where do I start. Customer service is unmatched. Bubble tea is absolutely perfect. The banh mi's are top tier. This is the place to go. The price is extremely affordable and the quality supersedes the price. If you're looking for bubble tea, banh mi, or a Vietnamese corner shop. This is your place. Trust me, try it for yourself, you won't regret it. Pictured are a coconut and passion fruit smoothie. As well as two assorted meat banh mi's. Went to this place on a whim. You have to try it!
had a hard time figuring out where this place was and so it's on the left bottom side of plaza (when facing plaza). It's quiet little store, looks like they have some Vietnamese imported candy and dried foods and looked reasonably priced. Came to try the sandwich as per Google reviews of the area. $5 for the special Banh mi thap cam, ingredients looks fresh they add a little of everything, I love green onions in mine and with chilli😋 To the owners, pls add a little more meat to taste Bread is where it's at for me, it was ok but I'm sure if I hit them at the right time and freshness it would've been awesome Sandwich is better than most other places I've tried December 11, 2022
There are very limited places that serve Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwiches in the west end. But I found this place going home one day after work. And came back the following week as I love Banh Mi sandwiches. I order the Beef Satay and shredded chicken (watch for small bones, only found one.) I devoured both in minutes. It was a party, the beef Satay was excellent. Spicy and sweet and those peppers gave some heat. But it was so good. And the shredded chicken, was opposite of the beef in taste. But also very very delicious with the straight cut veggies. Excellent sandwiches! And the green tea peach bubble tea. Was/is perfect for sunny afternoons. The staff very busy, but very polite. I will be back for more.
Great tasting classic assorted banh mi. I would say flavour wise it’s one of the best in the GTA. I think it might be my favourite due to more variety of veggies being added. They also give more quantity of veggies which I liked compared to other spots that do the typical style. The meat quantity seems thin but flavour is top notch. Pate flavour top notch as well. Been to Vietnam several times and flavour wise this hits the spot for me because I feel like another sandwich is needed after I’m done eating. Prices are very reasonable for today’s standards. Will be back to try other items. Their brown sugar bbt was awesome!
Ordered a watermelon soda, and they gave me a sprite in a bubble tea cup with like a pump of some watermelon syrup that did not make the sprite taste anything like watermelon. Also, like maybe 3 minutes after I left, the cup blew up because of the carbonation from the soda built up under the sealed plastic cover.
A banh mi that s well-packed with thicker meat than you typically find elsewhere. They also offer Habanero peppers for those who can handle the heat. Food
I have eaten here many times and this is the first time I felt really bad. I bought 2 sandwiches here: a meatball sandwich and a chicken sandwich. When I walked in, the employee seemed confused. When she told the cashier that the meatball sandwich I ordered was wrong, I told the cashier. What was worse was that the char siu she took out did not heat it up in the microwave, she put it directly into the sandwich and put it in the oven (maybe she is a new employee because this is the first time I saw her). When I received the sandwiches and left, I found that both were cold.
A decent sandwich. Had the assorted meat and spicy beef satay. Made with care. Didnt try their bubble tea....maybe next time.
Very delicious, I will recommend
Bad customer service
Worst place to order bubble tea. Ive ordered 3 bubble tea and this lady made 5 and refused to give me my refund and forced me to pay for 5 orders. She told me to freeze the other two bubble tea and keep for later. Worst place ever.
Terrible service food was very stingy worst banh mi Ive ever had pork bun was slimy and discusting
Wont be coming going here again. Sandwich was alright, not the best Ive had so was excited to finish with a pork bun. Was taken back at first by the odd smell it was giving off but then MY GOODNESS the slime in the pork bun completely did it! Whatever that was was rotted or intentionally fermented, which is fine for some. Cultures for sure but just not for me. Had hoped for a different experience
Horrible Horrible Horrible terrible I went there it said open but it was closed and the boba doesnt have real flavor Horrible
Soy souce in the Banh mi so good
Bubble tea here is actually really good! But store has a very strong odour and sometimes there s fruit flies just flying around. Other than that customer service is good. There s also no dine in here because there s no chairs and table.
Passed by this place for lunch today. Excellent bubble team. I had the mango milk bubble tea. It was really good! Not too sweet, nice amount of creaminess and plenty of tapioca bubbles. Also had the grilled pork bahn mi. Very tasty sandwich but I was a bit underwhelmed. Still better than most places out there. Highly recommended!
This is a great takeout place for banh mi sandwiches, bubble tea, and Vietnamese ice coffee.
Very friendly staff. The bread isnt too fat and airy like most banh mi shops. This one is the perfect size and is always stuffed with hearty and fresh flavours. Also offers vegetarian (tofu) banh mi option! Toasted for a great crunch!
Fantastic place rum by fantastic people.
Food is solid but service is trash. DO NOT order on food delivery apps, they will not receive the order and you will not get your food, whether for pickup or delivery.
ordered bread and ingredients are very few and lack of fuel . Ordered mixed bread and it was very bad and everything was very little too expensive for bread like that 8 or 9$ but very poorly made
Best banh mi that Ive had so far in Toronto
Ive been coming to this store for 3yrs now since Ive moved to this area and the quality and service is still the same they may not stuff their sandwiches to the max but their qualities and flavours are on point.
Ordered a brown sugar bubble tea, and often have had their Banh Mi Sandwiches, cannot be beat, best place in town!!! Often when I take friends here, they are very surprised by the quality and taste of the beverages!
Had the beef. So amazing!!! Lovely service. Highly recommended
I really like this new banh mi place. Me and my parents come here quite often to the point where they know our orders by heart. I really like how they have extra toppings that you normally won t find at other places. Something about their assorted meats, it just tastes so fresh and creamy if that makes sense. It feels like I m eating deli meat from a baguette, rather then a banh mi. The only thing I would suggest is their bread being a little bit softer but overall I recommend this place!
This place was sooo soo good
Got myself some meals here today. It s so good. Good portion, reasonable price. Store is nice and clean. Staffs so friendly.
The shops bread is very delicious. The bread seller is super friendly. Highly recommend!!!
I came there yesterday with my daughter who uses a stroller. To get in, I had to tip the stroller back because the store is about 4 to 5 inches above the ground. I ordered a bubble tea, put it in my stroller and headed out the store. So because I had to tip the stroller to get in, I had to tip it downwards to leave. WHILE LEAVING, THE BUBBLE TEA FELL OUT THE STROLLER! The two ladies that work there saw what happened and were only concerned with how the outside of their store looked with my bubble tea spilled on the concrete. The lady, who I believe is the owner, got two buckets of water to clean the mess. I waited and asked her if she was gonna replace my drink and she kept saying, it s not my fault, it s not my fault. If I spilled it, it would be my fault. Whether or not it was her fault, she showed no empathy nor customer service. If there was a ramp or the ground was properly leveled to the store and the bubble tea fell, I d gladly take the blame! I WAS SHOCKED AT THEIR LACK OF EMPATHY AND ANGER TOWARDS ME! That was my first and last time going there! If you re looking for customer service, this place ain t it! If you use a wheelchair, this place isn t accessible! If you have a child who uses a stroller, be prepared to tip or lift the stroller!
Very tasty bahn mi and bubble tea. They also sell a variety of snacks and dried food
One of the best vietnamese sandwich ever! Im pure vietnamese and the sandwich here sent me back to my original hometown!!!
One of the best bang for buck meals you can get. I had their assorted and satay beef subs, and they were tasty. There are a variety of ingredients you can get on your sandwich, which are all fresh. Cant get much better with 5$/6$ a sandwich. Ill be back often!
The banh mi is good quality and tasty, but I do agree that the it could use more toppings. I m not sure I like the meat ball sandwich, not a fan of the shredded chicken either (too dry and chewy), but the rest were good. Favourites were chicken satay, nem nuong (pork sausage), and assorted. The glutinous rice trays were good too. We also had the coloured jelly and sweet bean drink with coconut milk from the fridge and that was so good. Tip: sandwiches are made to order, so if you plan on ordering a lot just call ahead of time.
Firstly, i just came out the hospital and Im having digestive issues,so there was a specific reason i was requesting a small size in my smoothie. The lady told me that if i wanted my smoothie to taste bettsmoothie i would have to get a large. Found that strange but said okay anyway. I seen her only adding mango i asked her what about the strawberry she said thats 1 dollar extra. Like is this a joke. I proceeded to purchase the smoothie but let her know that i wasnt pleased with the service AT ALL.
Excellent local restaurant. Clean location and tasty food, perfect for lunch. I will be returning again.
Kelvin was great. Explained all there bubble flavours it was my first time having a banh mi sandwich as well
Good Banh mi
Wow, these Vietnamese sandwiches are so fresh and tasty! My family really enjoyed these. Yum!
The Best! Taste like real authentic Pho, the broth is what will make you feel like you re in Vietnam.
Affordable and delicious. Best find on uber. Best choice for a construction site. Great veggies portion, wanted more sauce ;)
Quick and friendly service. Inexpensive for the quality that you get!
Best banh mi I ve had outside of Vietnam
Assorted Banh Mi: 3.5/5 Nem Banh Mi: 3/5 Chicken Satay Banh Mi: 2/5 I did enjoy the Assorted Banh Mi. It was creamy from the pate and mayo, and had fresh coriander. Generous fresh vegetables. The detractors are: narrow sandwich for the price point (compared to Banh Mi Nguyen Hung for example), pickled vegetables need a more acidic bite to balance out the flavors. The best of the 3. The Nem banh mi was alright; the nem was a bit too sour for my taste. The Satay chicken was unfortunately very bland. Very weak Satay flavor. Would not recommend. Should choose extra pate, extra butter (mayo), and less soy sauce.
I went out of my way to buy two sandwiches before starting my long day on campus. I got the assorted meat and satay chicken. I ate the assorted meat as soon as I walked out of the store and found it to be incredibly delicious. I normally dont like sandwiches or anything thats bread, but I enjoyed the sandwich here a lot. The bread was toasted so it was crisp when I ate the assorted meat. I kind of wanted more filling at first but as I kept eating I found the filling to bread ratio perfect. The assorted meat was enough. It would be too salty otherwise. For the chicken satay sandwich, I ate it on campus. About 3 hours later and it was still pretty good. The bread was a bit too dry for me already but I enjoyed it. A lot of chicken, but unfortunately too spicy for me. I would most likely come back for more assorted ham sandwiches. This shop is a bit out of my way during my commute, but personally I would make the time to pass by and pick up a couple of sandwiches again. ---- Shop itself was kind of cluttered with boxes and stuff when I entered (9:30am). It reminded me of a NYC bodega or something. Not that big of an issue. I found the products fascinating. However I was just there for the sandwich.
Absolutely amazing! The people working there were really kind and the food tasted superb. The price was super cheap so overall I would 100% recommend this place. Will be going back soon.
Very tasty banh mi. I like the #1 - assorted cold cut. Lots of veg variety on the sandwich, lots of flavour. The Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious, but verrrry sweet. I liked it even better once the ice watered it down a bit. Note: sandwich pictured has extra cilantro added and red onions removed.
Great and affordable banh mi for around $6
Just like you would see in Saigon. A mama and pops Vietnamese sandwich place. Tried there assorted meat sandwich and it was the best one Ive had out of 7 places in Toronto. I know, thats a hard to believe. Good job on the sandwich. They have outdone their competitors. Great work ! The bun tasted toasted and if was jam packed with veggies. For 5.00 you cant go wrong . It is a must try in Toronto even if you arent in the area. Thanks !
Order 30 loaves of Cam bread to take away as gifts. When I got home, I saw that the cake was soft and watery because of the pickles and soy sauce (even though I had informed the owner and the seller to keep the side dishes separate).... Very disappointed with Tay Do bread, poor quality, sloppy and unprofessional service.
Best train
Delicious fresh banh mi. so damn good
The sandwiches are really good but the only thing that i dont like is when they touching the money and then touch the foods without washing and changing the gloves. One more i notice mask are not properly wear and then the girl cough with atchuooo..so disgusting and so unbelievable..
Very nice shop. A little hidden and easy to miss but very nice on the inside. Staff is friendly and they serve a great coconut milk tea for a good price. 10/10 will be going back.
lots of variety for banh mi here. Theres also milk tea, smoothies vietnamese coffee and a ton of home made goodies - desserts, food toppers and pantry. $4-5 is the average price per item.
Banh Mi sandwiches here are reasonably priced under $5. The ingredients are fresh and well portions. Will definitely visit again !
Love the brown sugar bb tea so much, and I like the way the store covered the banh mi (sandwich) by the way the staff should wearing mask
Delicious Vietnamese sub, come back every week
Amazing service, super friendly staff, great drinks, can t wait to try the sandwiches!
Prices and drinks are under 5$, I go there once in a while to buy Mango Smoothie and a sandwich since I live close, staff are very friendly and definitely recommend this place.
Really good authentic banh mi sandwiches. Hidden gem of a place and nice people.
Good food and good service.
One of the best Banh Mi I ever had. This store knows the difference between quality over quantity.
Definitely some of the best Banh Mi in the GTA! I highly recommend the spicy beef banh mi.
The banh mi here is very tasty! I love the crispy bread and all the fillings were fresh and flavourful. Service was also great. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves banh mi!
She makes better cakes than loaves of bread
Best Vietnamese sandwich in Toronto HANDS DOWN!! Always fresh, they have a variety of toppings and selections. I love the options of having my buns toasted and ready to eat. Super friendly staff. Store is clean and price is very reasonable. The Bubba tea are awesome and the cheapest price around and great selections and flavour. They have 2 sizes to choose from. I will definitely be a regular customer! You must stop in if you are in the area.
Hi I wanted to post my honest opinion first time trying the assorted banh mi. The flavour was not to my liking, wasnt enough ingredients compared to all the other banh mi stores I tried. The mango bubble tea smoothie wasnt good either because I thought it was fresh fruit. It was powered and gave a bad after taste and the tapioca had no taste either should have more flavour. I personally didnt enjoy my meal
Great tasting food and experience! Definitely would recommend for anyone in the area.
Best banh mi sandwiches in town and doooooont forget to try their bubble tea
Best Banh Mi Ive had so far! Tried many places and this is my go to all the time. The bubble tea is also very flavorful! Plenty of snacks to choose from and theyre very friendly. Highly recommended!!!
Great food and amazing value for your buck. I just tried it for the first time and I will certainly go back for more.
Best banh mi in the area and they also have bubble tea which is a win win
Good food, good bubble tea, good prices.
I am regular and they have amazing customer service. Their food is also very good.
friendly service
