Vietnamese Sandwiches and Coffees
The lady ripped my mother off. Didn’t realize until we left the place and drove away. She charged $20 for 2 banh mi when really should’ve been $14. We payed with cash too. Scammy.
The Banh Mi at this shop is some of the best in Toronto. Bread was very crispy and soft and the veggies were very fresh. I got an assorted and shredded chicken/pork and they were both delicious. Hidden gem and worth trying!
Van is so sweet. I came in with only $12.xx in my pocket and I wanted 2 sandwiches so I asked if her prices included taxes. She said yes and that she didn’t care if I didn’t have enough money and could just pay what I can. I was like, wow, what a nice lady! She told me she makes everything in house except for the bread. She also told me she knows how to make really good bread but because business was slow, it wasn’t worth it for her to make. She doesn’t do any advertising. So I just told her about yelp. Unfortunately due to her location she’s not getting a lot of foot traffic like the Jane and Finch shops. I ordered an assorted cold cut sandwich - $6 and a sardine sandwich - $6. Unfortunately the meatball sandwich was not available at the time. The sandwiches were the size of my forearm. I wish they were toasted but of all the banh mi shops I’ve had in the GTA, no one toasts their bread. Is it a California thing? Both sandwiches had a good amount of filling. However, I’d rather have more filling than bread so I like my bread to be half the size with the same amount of filling. I would definitely return to try the other sandwiches she offers.
Amazing place for food and drinks! I work nearby and go AT LEAST once a week for their amazing banh mi sandwiches. The owner is also wonderful and makes great food. Definitely recommended ✨
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing chicken sandwiches at Van Sandwiches! The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with seasoning that hits all the right notes. The ingredients are fresh and the flavor combinations are spot on. The brioche bun is the perfect touch, adding a soft and buttery complement to the crunchy chicken. The service is friendly and quick, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Van Sandwiches for anyone looking for the best chicken sandwich in Toronto!
Been here a couple of times, very tasty assorted banh mi, very good mixture of filings. They recently increased the prices, hopefully they can maintain the current price. Will go back to try other banh mi.
So gladly to find this Vietnamese sandwich Binh Mi near my home. The owner she makes freshly everyday and all home made. Our favourite is her Thit Nuong aka Grilled Pork sandwich ,u gotta try that it’s so delicious and tasty with her special sauce. It’s worth it. And the service is friendly and always welcome guests to return back. Highly recommended family and friends to try this place!
My mom introduced me to this place and wow! Absolutely delicious Banh Mi (especially their pate and butter) and their fried Vietnamese sausage (cha chien) is amazing. Service was amazing from the owner and employee.
Great sandwiches and sausages. Every bite is satisfying.
The Grilled Meat Bread was so good! The owner is very nice! Highly recommend!
Love the dessert from the store:
Outstanding value for money. Such a rarity these days to walk into a place that is fueled just by passion for what they do. We were told by the lovliest lady at the front desk that most stuff was made in-house and the sandwiches are more for passion than for profit and oh my - the passion shows. Bang on flavour those little sandwiches pack! Not much seating place so we took the sandwiches back to the car in the parking to eat and 5 mins in we walked back into the store for round 2. Definitely coming back!!!!
My wife and I love this Vietnamese sandwich spot. They taste amazing and they are pretty cheap. My favorite is Grilled pork here. Definitely recommend anyone to try this place when they are in the area.
Great sandwich for the price. Most places don t give much meat anymore but this place gives you fair amount for the price. Definitely worth a repeat.
Its the truth
Tried bahmis at this place before going to another one found on Instagram, and its night and day!! The bahmi here is tasty, flavourful, and delicatelly assembled. Must try!
Waste of miney5
Every dish is delicious and reasonably priced (Banh gio, dumplings, bread, sticky rice, beef jerky, rolls and snacks)
The dessert with the tofu was so delicious! I have never seen that anywhere and they recommended it so I tried it and its my new favourite dessert! The owner makes her own soft tofu. The banh MI are delicious and worth the value and they also make their own Vietnamese sausage cha lua. Highly recommend!! My new favorite banh mi and che place.
$6 for a banh mi thap cam (mixed meats). Longer and thinner than Banh Mi Nguyen Huongs, less fatty (less mayo and pate), but more generous with the meat cuts and pickled vegetables. Crispy exterior bread. I would prefer more mayo & pate.
Some of the best banh mi that Ive had and it is served up by a super friendly owner! After talking to her, I found out she makes the sausage in house and puts lots of thought into the sandwiches, including how dense the bread should be!
Great service, good value, and great sandwiches.
One of if not the best bun mi place in ontario. Great atmosphere fantastic lady selling it
Best banh mi in the area! The meatball is the best! Very good prices!
some of the best banh mi Vegetarian options: veggie sandwich Parking: parking lot
I ordered two banh mi through uber eats and they only gave me one and I couldnt even get it refunded through ubereatd :( the shredded chicken banhmi was missing
I dont want to go there again because this is so much dirty especially the kitchen The attitude of the lady on the counter is really really bad. Sometimes she abuse so I dont recommend to go their
Introduced to this place by family. Amazingly friendly owner and delicious banh mi as well!
I was introduced to this banh mi place by my family and I was not disappointed. The banh mi is delicious, especially the butter and the pate. The bread itself is also really good; it s the kind that doesn t crumble to dust if you save it for tomorrow. The lady working at the front is really nice and sweet. Definitely give this place a try if you re looking for quality banh mi s.
They have a good food in a affordable price. I like mostly their sandwich-will make it fresh and very tasty. Their location is very convenient and accessible. Highly recoomended
Delicious bread, including egg bread if you ask her to help you fry it. She and her sales staff are enthusiastic and funny. Gio cha, sweet soup, banh gio, everything is delicious. Highly recommend
One of the best vegetarian banh mis I ever had! Not much Vietnamese sandwich places that I know offer this option so I greatly appreciate that this location does for such a great price. If they do, it s always tofu which isn t as good as bì chay. Will definitely be coming back again for more
Banh mi and banh gio is yummy!
Yummy banh mi and giò ch in North York. I m glad I found this store.
Google map alo, yes i t is new opening Vans Sandwich shop. I t is not large one like another sandwich, i t has the variety of sales and services like drinks, fried sausage & ready-homemade patê; etc. To learn more its info of the shop, look for its linked address online. Thank you for your dropby.
Best sandwich ever!!!
Best Vietnamese sandwich place ever!!! Must try!!
The best place to get Vietnamese sausages (Gio/Cha Lua), along with all kinds of other fried sausages such as Cha Heo Chien, Cha Ca, Cha Bo, etc. Vietnamese sandwiches - Banh Mi, are filled with a variety of meats, sausages, pate, and pickled vegetables. Everything looks fresh and delicious.
Stopped by here for lunch with hubby. We both agree that the sandwiches banh mi are one of the best weve had in a while-filled to the brim and fresh ingredients! The iced coffee and banh gio is also a must try. Cant wait to go back for more. The owner is very sweet and kind too who takes a lot of pride in providing quality food products!
Delicious sandwiches sasuges steambans
This is the best Banh mi in Toronto, and I have tried a number of places around here. The taste will take you right back to the alley of the Vietnamese night market. My favourite is the meat ball and the grilled pork.
Amazing food at a very decent price. Highly recommend to Viet food lovers
The only VN sandwich shop I ll go to!! It s totally worth the drive and the prices are unbeatable. I love the pate and the fried sausage is unreal. The only downside is because it s so delicious, I can t eat gio anywhere else now. Luckily they also sell the sausage by itself so I always grab 1 or 2 to take home.
Sandwiches are great and the banh gio is not to be missed. I go whenever Im in the neighborhood.
Absolutely delicious!!!! Thank you Gio Cha Huong Que & Van for a symphony of flavours in your bánh mi
I vote 5 stars for Gio Cha Huong Que & Van sandwich. Knowing about the store through the Vietnamese Canadian Kitchen group, I came to buy all the items the store sells. Super delicious beef sausage, authentic Hanoi taste - a must try if you want to eat Hanoi beef sausage. Bread with various fillings and sticky rice are also extremely impressive. The fried patties are also the best in Ontario. Entering the shop is like standing at Hom Market - Duc Vien Hanoi. Write a review so more people know about this delicious food restaurant.
A hidden Gem in an industrial area. The famous Vietnamese baguette is on point! I go here twice every week to grab these delicious savoury sandwiches for my husband. It s his favourite. They also have other deserts, snacks and drinks as well. A must try!
Good food, best bread
Definitely recommend this shop for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food. The price imo is unbeatable yet the quality is outstanding. Don t waste your time and money at Subway anymore when you can get much better sandwich, healthy options, half price and no bad attitude employees that look at you waiting for tips. You can t go wrong with any options for the sandwiches and if you want something to take home for a bit more depth of Vietnamese food, they have food that you hardly can find in any other shops like bánh giò, chè b i, bánh ch ng, etc. Great service is a plus.
I bought this dish very quickly and its very delicious. Good luck buying it
Great sandwiches (better than Nguyen Huong) - house-made Vietnamese sausage (cha lua) and Banh Gio are very good also. Recommended.
