With its quality ingredients, generous portions and unique design, Mustafa continues to be the #1 Turkish restaurant in Canada. Our chef Mustafa with his 40+ yeas of experience believes that his secret to his success is “Making sure every single one of his guests leaves with a full belly and a huge smile!” If you are new to our family, please keep in mind that although we offer our Pide Menu every single day of the week 11 AM to 10 PM, we offer our delicious Kebabs Monday through Thursday and our famous Doner only on Friday, Saturday & Sundays!
This Turkish restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring pide, kebabs, and shawarma. The interior boasts a quirky, cavelike ambiance, adding a unique touch to the dining experience. Portions are generous, ensuring you'll leave satisfied. I opted for a pide and a chicken wrap. Both were flavorful and satisfying. The pide had a crispy crust and was bursting with flavor. The chicken wrap, though slightly larger than the average, felt a bit underwhelming considering the price point. While the food quality is commendable, the pricing might deter some budget-conscious diners. If you're willing to splurge for a unique and delicious Turkish dining experience in Toronto, Mustafa's is a solid choice. However, if you're on a tighter budget, you may want to explore other options.
There’re lots of Turkish places now, tough competition. This place is old and my husband’s favourite spot. But somehow I didn’t really enjoy the food as much. The presentation is decent, taste is also decent. But the prices are too much. It’s always cold when you sit on the sides, they need better ventilation and proper covering. The serve complementary lentil soup &/or salad which are delicious. They don’t have teapots only serve individual cups, I find that strange. I have two Pide and two main dishes but they don’t do mix grill platters or family platters with variety. We often like to have something g big for the family to share. They should think about updating their menu. Food was decent as I said before but not a wow factor me! Add: Adding some old pics from 2021 during Covid when we picked up our takeout order.
I love the interiors. It's just like a cave so pretty. Coming to food, the complementary salad was good. We ordered chicken pide and beyti kabab, the chicken pide was so soft and juicy, loved it. Beyti kabab was also good. For dessert we had baklava and their in house milk ice cream - loved the ice cream. Just loved it. Love the experience.
The chicken kebab dinner was so so good!! One serving can easily feed 2 people. Hence, the price. The 4 star was because we were automatically given an imported orange pop when we didn't ask for it. I was charged $6 extra for something I didn't ask for so I don't like that. The soda tasted good but they should've asked us if we wanted it first. Aside from that, I would recommend this place for sure.
My visit at Mustafa Turkish Pizza had both hits and misses, making it difficult to rate the place. The restaurant has a unique interior resembling a grotto, with nautical decor and wooden tables that suggest a seafaring adventure. It was interesting, but I wasn't sure how it complemented the Turkish food that was served. The menu was simple and straightforward. Each dish had a name, image, and price. The prices were quite high. What stood out to me was the lack of free tap water, which was a first for me in Toronto. They only offered bottled water or tea, so I ordered tea. Lentil Soup: It came with the Beef Kebap that I ordered. It was flavourful, a little spicy, and very hot. It was slightly over-seasoned in my opinion. Beef Kebap: The meal was huge. The smoky aroma of grilled steak was enticing, and the meat was tender and juicy. The bed of rice was white but well seasoned, absorbing the juices and adding to the dish's richness. The oiled pita was soft and gave me another thing to bite into in between meats. The issues I had included some meat pieces were over-charred, and veggies were not evenly grilled. The peppers were underdone, and onions were nearly raw. A bit more attention to grilling would have improved the meal's overall quality. The meat pieces were over-seasoned. Their standard black tea, unsweetened and simple, was satisfactory but unremarkable. Service-wise, the staff were amicable and seemed eager to assist, adding a touch of warmth to the encounter. Access to the washroom was an unexpected challenge, with narrow stairs posing a safety concern. The cleanliness of the men's room and a non-functional soap dispenser were additional drawbacks. They seemed to have a very good selection of desserts, but I had no room for it after such a hearty meal. In summary, while the food provided good value, the cost did not align with the overall experience. Also, certain items were overseasoned, which bothered me a little. The restaurant's policy on water felt like a misstep in hospitality. While I'm open to exploring their takeout options, I would not return for another dine-in.
Mustafa restaurant has a unique interior with a cave style, this is the best part in the restaurant. In general the food was decent, however the kebab baity was good but the pide lacked of a sauce or juiciness. Overall decent food with good service, but it’s slightly expensive for this limited quality. I’ll never back again !!
Small restaurant. Definitely a little overpriced. The portions are large and there are 3-4 vegetarian options. They gave us complimentary salads which were nice. The meat pizzas were good. I wasn’t able to take a picture of the vegetarian pizza but I ordered the assorted vegetable pizza and it’s pretty bland. Just tastes like cheese and tomato. It’d be really nice if they seasoned the pizzas the same as the meat ones because the meat pizzas are stuffed with meat and other ingredients whilst being the same price as the vegetable ones. Overall it was a nice place but not all that.
Returning to a Turkish restaurant I hadn't visited in six years, I was thrilled to find that both the service and food quality remained exceptional. The warm and inviting atmosphere instantly transported me back. The attentive staff greeted me warmly, providing excellent recommendations. The flavors and presentation of the dishes were a testament to the chef's commitment to authenticity. Each bite was a delightful taste of Turkey. The traditional Turkish desserts were also outstanding. This restaurant is a must-visit for an authentic and memorable Turkish dining experience. The price was reasonable too I wish it was closer so I could go there more often!
Mustafa Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with its flavorful dishes and welcoming atmosphere. Here s an overview of my experience: Pros: 1. Delicious Food: The menu features authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean dishes, such as kebabs, shawarma, falafel, and fresh salads. The spices and flavors are perfectly balanced. 2. Generous Portions: The servings are more than enough, making it great value for money. 3. Warm Hospitality: The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. 4. Ambiance: The restaurant has a cozy, clean, and inviting atmosphere, ideal for family meals or casual outings. 5. Fresh Ingredients: The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, especially the freshly baked bread and vibrant side dishes. Cons: 1. Busy Hours: The restaurant can get crowded during peak times, which may result in slower service. 2. Limited Parking: If it s in a busy area, finding parking nearby can be a challenge. 3. Pricing: While reasonable for the quality, some might find the prices slightly higher than other casual dining options. Overall, Mustafa Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and flavorful dishes in a welcoming setting. Whether you re dining in or ordering takeout, it s a go-to spot for a satisfying.
Very good food been there so many times.
I havent ordered for 4 years This time I tried Turkish Restaurants in Toronto But in vain Mustafa is a solid and old-school tradesman Order online or in a restaurant, it doesnt matter. same grammage No fraud I confess this May your earnings be abundant and fruitful.
The food was beyond Perfect ! Their Pide and Doner Kebab was the most delicious I had in Toronto Will go more often Food
The food used to be good not anymore
The downfall of this place needs to be studied. Went there with three other people. We ordered 2 doner with rice and one eskender. We also got two pides. I am sorry but the quality went down hill. The doner doesnt smell or taste good. We left most of the food u touched. We wanted to throw it away however we felt bad. It was way better than this and I have been a customer since 2016.
Best Turkish food in the city!
Loved the chicken kebab meal with rice! The staff are all really sweet and friendly. 10/10 would recommend and come back!
Great tasty Turkish food, friendly staff. Must try at least once.
$45 for 2 chicken sandwiches? This has to be the worst quality of meat for this price point.... Never in my life will I go back to this sham.
They almost doubled the price and portion is smaller and low quality! Very disappointing
Nice setting but waiter ignored all my attempts to speak English as my companion spoke Turkish. Didn t explain what is chorba. No knife was offered to dish with meat. Leftover from food was dimples together bread rice and meat don t know if this a national tradition. But waiter was Emily and pleasant, maybe didn t like my Slavic face.
I ate the worst pita I have ever eaten in my life, we ordered coke and they even brought it, believe me even 1 star is too much
One of the best Iskandar i had
Great food, great customer service! You have to come.
Coolest cave restaurant ever with the most bomb food ever
Great place! Went with some friends and we had such a lovely time there. Food was absolutely delicious and filling.
The service is terrible, the interest in the customer is zero, the food is very bad
Great atmosphere, large portion size very delicious
Good restaurant nice decoration love the pizza stile. Need little touch of customers service
No menu in English
The food is very good, the salad they give as a starter is delicious, the iskender is something phenomenal, the atmosphere is very good, the family atmosphere, the music, the decoration, Just one observation: they must include the iskender in their delivery menu, they do not have them in the food apps Parking: It has enough space
Great food, great service!
Very nice food, When we were there, the bread machine broke down, while it was being fixed they brought us a lot of food, and then treated us to their gorgeous desserts. I liked it very much.
Delicious
Everything looks great very friendly environment and good quality of food and service!
I ordered Adana kebab and one Ayran . There was two mistakes here , first they gave me orange drink except Ayran and the second one which is the main one , the taste was so awful . I spent $44 but my order was bad and drink was something else.
Our go to for iskender! Delicious food and great portions.
We went for the first and last time on our trip to Toronto. The good things were the friendly young waiter and the cleanliness of the place. We ate doner. It was very, very tasteless. The portions were huge suitable for those who want plenty. It felt very expensive in terms of price. In terms of price/performance, it was beyond expensive Note: For the first time in my life, I PAID FOR TEA in a Turkish restaurant... such a shame...
A 5 stars experience overall!
Everything was perfect and clean
I recommend
The guy who was working there was kind and polite . He kindly took care of our requests. However, the food wasn t worth the price.
Food
Been going to Mustafas for years now, theyre the OG and their iskendar kebab is soooo good, better than what I had in Istanbul.
Great example of the great turkish food.
Im sorry that the restaurant is completely degraded and no longer reflects Turkish cuisine, they are focused on mass production and money
never come back again, it is the worst restaurant in the world. No recommend. I give zero if I can Vegetarian options: no recommend
The meat is not fresh, the service is inadequate, the prices are expensive.
As a Turkish place, it was disappointing for me that tea was not free after dinner. The prices were also very expensive, we paid $150 for 4 people. Food was delicious.
Great food, enjoyed everything. Turkish coffee was unbelievable.
Excellent food and hospitality! Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere!
Free lentil soup was delicious , prices are incredibly good .
Delicious food and good price.
The Beef Shawarma was good and big portion , The bread was warm and fresh and the lamb pide with cheese was delicious, the staff was very friendly . Parking: Little space for parking
Good options
The food was very good, Adam, I would also like to thank you very much, you took great care of us and helped us.
Delicious kabap
The food was definitely great the employees were super nice at the atmosphere was just perfect
Very good service and kebabs probably best in Toronto !
Best iskendar i had so far compared to the rest turkish restaurants..
a bit expensive
Loved the food and friendly staff. One big difference with any other restaurant was the service. They were really fast and from taking order to serving its not more than 5-10 minutes. All dishes come with lentils soup and also food comes really hot. We always enjoy their Baklava as desert! Dietary restrictions: It is halal
Really great experience here, the food, service and ambiance were all excellent!
Food was bad I don t know what happened they used to serve good shawarma all the meat was fat and non acceptable what a waste
Amazing food but their place is a bit small. 5/10 overall
Kebap place with no kebap. Horrible experience from start to finish.
Everything was very bad, Im sorry to say.
20 dollars for a shawarma wrap without any sauce.?? And it tastes
Come on! The pies? The kabobs? Escandar? Amazing! Also the service was on point. What was the most impressive was the soup, surprisingly. The best lentil soup I ve ever had. Good job!
One of the best Turkish food in Toronto
huge portion sizes of iskandar kabab and pides. tasty also
The best Turkish restaurant ever!
You dont have the old bonners, they seemed stale, to be honest, we were not satisfied, we chose you out of all the restaurants, but we were just filling our stomachs, and since we were hungry, I recommend you to try the old flavor.
Went with my amazing and beautiful wife; she has the best taste. I promise youll enjoy yourself. Have some soup or salad, followed by Iskendaar. If you dont like flavour, avoid. Ps. They dont have coffee Food
Very nice Turkish Lahmajun and Doner......i dare any other Turkish restaurant to make better food.......my mom always win
Amazing taste - everything tastes perfect and on point. We ordered mixed Kebap, Doner (shawarma), and baglawa. The most authentic Turkish taste in Toronto. Atmosphere and service is great, the decorations is unique and the music in the background is good. The bathrooms arent that great though. Needs more observation. It can get a bit busy, with an average waiting time of 15 min on a Saturday. They dont accept reservations. Parking is limited but somehow available.
It was a great moment being in Mustafa Turkish Kebab. We tried Pide and Alinazik and they served us free Salad, Baklava and Shawerma on the side! It was a great experience at Mustafa restaurant and customer service was perfect.
The OG turkish restaurant in GTA. Food and service was best
This is one of the most authentic Turkish restaurants I found in Canada. By far if you want to experience, the Turkish food culture in Toronto, this is the place you need to visit. Quality, portion sizes, and the prices are amazing. I highly recommend them.
I really like this place, authentic turkish foods and rustic cave kinda vibes
He is a master of Turkish delicacies in Toronto, where you can easily eat döner, all kinds of kebabs and pita. The friendliness of the owner of the place, Mr. Mustafa, and the staff combined with the taste, it received 5 stars from me. I recommend.
I tried the first time and turned out Amazing... will try again soon
I am not recommending this restaurant any more. Before I gave Mustafa 5stars but tonight I would like to change it to just 2stars. Although the quality of food are good just like Baran or Mamafatima or other Turkish restaurants that I have tried but Atmosphere and services was perfect at Mustafa before. That was a different between Mustafa and other Turkish restaurants. Tonight I just went there to enjoy my night but Noor wasn t there. The the waiter was rude and not respectful like Noor . When I asked for extra Onions or Lawash ,he didn t bring them for me and also when I asked again for extra onions he said you have it with your food. Any way I didn t enjoy my time and finish my food . Now I can understand how just one person can be really valuable for a business with his nice behavior and attitude with the client. I think Mustfa lost a really valuable asset in his business. Not recommend this restaurant any more.
Update Feb24: still the best Turkish Pide in the GTA for me. Never let me down. Update Sep20: they renovated and painted the restaurant. Now, it is even much more recommended. This time we ordered Kebap and doner and both were perfect. The best genuine, authentic Turkish food you may have in Toronto. Staff are hospitable, food portion is huge, and the tasty food is served with some free Salad. I visited there in Family day and without reservation, it took 40 mins to sit. No Kebap was available that time. But both Iskender and Pide were delicious. All in all, I recommend the restaurant.
Best turkish restaurant in Toronto, fresh food , delicious food, amazing service. Good atmosphere
I have to say this is one of the best turkish restaurants Ive visited in Toronto. Their portions are huge and the taste is incredible. You will not leave this restaurant hungry. This is a great place to come with friends and share food. Do yourself a favor and try their ice cream as well! Their service was very good and quick. The space itself is very well decorated and creates a great atmosphere to enjoy your food. It almost feels like youre in Turkey.
Authentic Turkish kebabs
Amazing food as always. We have been going to this restaurant for years and they never disappoint. Today we were also very pleased with service of Irfan and Yunus.
We went there to have authentic/normal lahmajun. Unfortunately, what we had was not lahmajun at all. it was disappointing. Baklava was dry and shawarma tasted old and not fresh. We couldnt eat anything. serving was terrible, too. before they take back the complimentary lentil soup bowls, they brought lahmajun trays, and before they collect them, they squeezed in baklava plates. The whole experience from food to service was terrible. we will not go there again.
Overpriced overpriced overpriced!!! I understand things are expensive now but $30 for a pide while the rest of the market charges $20 is just not acceptable. Top that off with mediocre packaging that reduces the quality even more when doing take out. I was a big fan but not I can t see myself justifying the outrageous prices!
They re only after charging extra to the customers. I wanted to divide the kebab plate bc I m allergic to gluten but they charged us as whole 2 plates. Super disappointing, disrespectful service. The owner is super rude, he can t even speak English didn t wanna be helpful. Staff tried to charge for tea which is complimentary will never go again.
Hello, about a week ago my friend and I came to the restaurant and we ordered two mixed kebabs. A while after our order arrived, we were craving pate salad and we asked the blonde guy with glasses standing there but he told us that there was no pate salad. I have run a restaurant before and there must be pate or garnish with the kebab. This is not my advice to you, it has to be this way
Coming all the way from New York for the food! Definitely worth it!
Extremely over priced for the amount of food given. It is not worth the price at all!! Even asking for extra boiled rice costs $9 for a small bowl. The food was okay and the atmosphere is not bad, the parking is absolutely horrible. In my opinion there are a lot more Turkish restaurants far more better, tasty and worth the cost. Don t waste your money.
Doner was very dry , nothing beside it We requested tomatos two times they never served it Will neved come again
Great food and customer service Enes and Gokhan were very helpful and accommodating. Overall great service and experience at this restaurant. We had 10 people eating here, 7 adults and 3 kids ( 3 month old, 3 year old, and 6 year old). Kids werent being a handful, from my perspective. No crying, yelling or screaming from them. I came to this restaurant on Dec 27 around 4 pm might be a bit later but still within the 4 Oclock range. Left a around 5-5:30 Parking: We found parking fairly easy although the parking lot isnt huge as long as it isnt rush hour or similar it should be fine. Im unsure exactly when we arrived but as I am writing this it is approximately 5 pm on Dec 27. We most likely arrive around 4 or so based on previous experience with my family and the current time. Kid-friendliness: Staff was friendly and accommodated the kids, we had 3 kids in total they were: one 3 month old, one 3 year old and one 5-6 year old. The kids didnt make too much noise, baby was quiet for most of the time. No crying or anything like that.
They offer taste and variety that you cannot find in Turkey. Be sure to stop by when you come to Toronto.
Buy some ground beef and add a little salt then fry it. Boom you have yourself some Mustafa donir
Overpriced !! Dined in last night for 2, had 2 skenders and a drinks, ended up paying almost $100! skender was too oily, couldn t even finished all. Plus, the restaurant was cold too, sat and ate with jacket on, food lost its warmth in no time. Don t think so will come here again. Food
One of my favorite Turkish restaurants, need to ensure that your portions remain constant, as shrinkage has been noted, this will take your quality and value edge away if keep on this path, and will be a one off visit, not regular. Plus bring your Mustafa scented napkins back!!....great way to advertise you with friends.
Perfect and awesome quality
The best Turkish with very fair prices
We from montreal we always stop there for a quick bite , amazing
In Toronto Canada, Mustafa Turkish restaurant, most delicious food
Nice restaurant and good food. Some menu items are quite expensive
The guy in the entrance with blond long hair ( he had pony tail) has attitude to the customers, he was discussing me with one of his colleagues. Very upsetting and disappointing that such great restaurant with great food that we love with my family has this kind of customer service.
One of the best Turkish Restaurants in the city. Food highly authentic and even better than Turkey!
Food is good but over priced, place is very clean, variety of food is good. But our table was served by a guy with yellow hair in pony tail very very rude and unprofessional, he was getting on the whole table nerves, if I was the owner I would consider firing him as soon ASAP as this waiter will affect the hospitality and reputation of this restaurant, something is not right with him. Very disappointing!
Clean restaurant and generous people. Good service we come back 100%
Below average and expensive
The starter was no good, served with a really garlicky sauce. Iskender was really nice. The lahmacun was a total letdown and way too pricey. I could get much better lahmacun for way cheaper. There was a super weird air conditioner in the restaurant. Seeing that messed up my mood. I reckon they should put in a bit more effort. The folks on the service team are real good and always ready to help.
My first experience, clean and simple snd tasty
Bad customer service
Amazing food, Hospitality & ambience. Definitely would recommend.
We were there today and I really like the place. They first brought us a basic but delicious salad as offering (ikram). We ordered lahmacun and etli etmek, and they were both amazing. Service was good, as like atmosphere. Fun fact, restaurants design is inspired by Cappadocia, a famous city of Turkey. If they had Turkish tea, Id be super happy though....
The lahmjun was amazing. The portions are quite large, one lahmjun will be enough for 2 people. Highly recommend.
Only got to try the Iskendar Kebab and lets just say, well be coming back for more. Without a doubt the best Iskendar Ive had. Just yummm!
Good atmosphere and great servers, food quality s is alright but very over priced!!Lahmajun is only comes with side onions and missing parsley and tomatoes and lemon which is kinda disappointing.
Always fresh, testy
Amazing Turkish restaurant
Yesterday I came to this restaurant and a hair came out of my food, after I saw the hair, I left my food and left the restaurant.
Great service, great food. Best place for Turkish food around GTA that I have eaten at.
Taste great, price reasonable, helpful staff. . Thank you Mustafa !
the food is delicious, and the portions are big. the server was excellent, and prices were reasonable. had to park a little far from the restaurant and walk, but its no problem. if youre a fan of kebab and turkish food, come here !!
The experience of lovely Turkish food in a beautiful environment along with the friendly and loving hospitality of the staff in a memorable night. We ordered the rice special which included the doner meat over rice which was delicious. We also ordered number 9, chicken and cheese, which was delicious. We also ordered yogurt and buttermilk, which was very delicious. It would be better if the glass was on the table.
My go to spot for authentic Turkish food! Its definitely on the pricier side but Ive been to other restaurants that cannot replicate the savoury flavours of Mustafas iskender! Their beef doner is truly delicious, its quality and cut ultimately makes its iskender one of the best Ive ever had! I love bringing my family and friends to Mustafa as Ive found that it begins their romance with Turkish food! Portion sizes are good for sharing which makes it costs worth it, theres also great desserts as well! Mustafa will always be in my top restaurants of the city!
Although the place is not very good, the food is good
It was the worst lahmacun I have ever eaten (or rather could not eat) in my life. I think they dont know how lahmacun is made. Even worse; My stomach has been hurting since yesterday and the 2 slices I ate still come to my mouth. My first and last visit.
Delicious food, great customer service
Best Turkish Restaurant in Toronto so far! Big portions and juicy kebabs.
Tasty and fresh !
A friendly family-run restaurant with a good selection of Turkish Kebap and pizza items with pastries items such as baklava.
Best iskender in the city! Nice doughy bread underneath and the meat is so buttery! Good portion as well - enough to feed two people! Also comes with a starter salad. Whenever I crave Turkish food, Mustafa is always top of mind!
The best restaurant
Atmosphere and service was OK, but the food wasn t good at all. We ordered a plain doner kebab dish and another one with sausage, and both were too greasy and tasted like low quality fast food.
It was the worst and most tasteless food I have ever eaten. It was truly a disaster. The service was zero. It is obvious that they do not know this business. They enter this business with the mentality that there is money in the restaurant business.
I come here every week for takeout the food is always fresh and delicious, even when I order something I havent tried before it is still delicious I never got the chance to sit down inside and eat but one day i will. Best Turkish food in Toronto in my opinion! Try the chicken kebab plate.
Solid service, fun vibe inside. The salad may have upset our stomachs a bit, but otherwise the main dishes were great!
Always All Times Best !!!
