Vietnamese Restaurant Pho - Spring Rolls - Bun - Com - Banh Mi - Lau
Very good food! The service is quite charming the food was delicious ! If I'm in the area i will come again!!!
Visited on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was quite busy with many take out orders. The food was quite good but service was a bit slow probably due to the lunch hour. All in all a nice place to have Vietnamese food.
My recent experience at Da Nang restaurant left me disappointed and deeply concerned about the ethical and trustworthiness of their business practices. I ordered their "Banh Mi Bo Kho" (Beef Stew), and what I received can only be described as a bowl filled with 98% beef fat. This incident raises serious questions about the integrity of this restaurant and has far-reaching implications for both customers and the community as a whole. First and foremost, it is crucial to emphasize the unethical nature of the restaurant's actions. Serving a dish that is overwhelmingly composed of beef fat not only misleads customers but also demonstrates a blatant disregard for their well-being. This deceptive practice is unethical and constitutes false advertising, as the menu item promised a flavorful beef stew, not a greasy bowl of fat. It undermines the trust that customecustomers' trustets a dangerous precedent for the industry. Moreover, such unethical behaviour reflects poorly on the entire Vietnamese cuisine community. Vietnamese cuisine is known for its exquisite flavours, balance of ingredients, and the care with which dishes are prepared. This incident tarnishes the reputation of Vietnamese cuisine by associating it with deceitful practices. It is disheartening to see a restaurant compromise the image of a rich culinary tradition that has brought joy to countless people around the world. The impact of this unscrupulous act extends beyond the individual customer. It has broader consequences for the community, especially in a diverse neighbourhood like Jane and Finch. Restaurants play a significant role in shaping the cultural identity and reputation of a neighbourhood. When a restaurant engages in unethical practices, it reflects poorly on the entire community. Such incidents can deter potential visitors and investors, hindering the economic and social growth of the area. Furthermore, unethical behaviour by a restaurant can also lead to economic repercussions for local businesses. Customers who feel betrayed by one establishment are less likely to explore other dining options in the area. This can hurt the livelihoods of honest, hardworking restaurateurs who rely on the support of the community to thrive. In light of this unfortunate experience, I strongly recommend that patrons consider alternative Vietnamese restaurants in the Jane and Finch area that genuinely respect their customers. Supporting businesses that uphold ethical standards is not only a matter of personal satisfaction but also a means of encouraging responsible and trustworthy practices in the culinary industry. In conclusion, the incident involving the deceptive serving of "Banh Mi Bo Kho" with an overwhelming amount of beef fat is a clear example of unethical and untrustworthy behaviour by the restaurant. It not only harms individual customers but also hurts the reputation of Vietnamese cuisine and the community as a whole. As consumers, we have the power to demand transparency, integrity, and ethical practices from the establishments we patronize. It is essential to hold such businesses accountable and support those who genuinely value their customers and community. This experience serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ethical conduct in the restaurant industry and the consequences of failing to uphold it.
Some dishes are very traditional from central of Vietnam! I have been here a few time and tried some of them, but the only keep in mind is "Mì Quảng"; the taste made you feel like you are right on the street in Vietnam!
It was my first time here and it was really good. We order hot pot and the taste was delicious. It’s an affordable restaurant and a Vietnamese friend recommended.
The food is worse then I expected. I’m so disappointed they sent me an oder of over-cooked spring roll and the beef was messing. Customer sevice was bad too, I asked them for a missing uber order, they didn’t do anything and just asked me to find it myseft. Never order hear again.
This place was not very good. My husband’s pho was on the sweeter side and the portion was significantly smaller than what you’d expect for an XL. I ordered the bun bo hue and they don’t give the traditional meats and blood - it was just flank meat and that was it. Also lacked the usual strong lemongrass flavour. Overall we would not be going back here and there are a variety of fantastic pho restaurants in the area that we’d choose over this place (such as pho huong trang and pho con bo!)
Always get the fried chicken wings tossed in sauce. They are absolutely delicious! They just recently changed their coffee grains to something with a more with a chocolatey aroma.
Worth a visit. Service and people kind.
Hidden Vietnamese gem, my family goes here mostly to get more traditional Vietnamese small plate type dishes that more normal places dont have.
I like sour here is ok for my taste, fish sauce and dipping sauces suit southern tastes, dipping sauce is the soul of the dish but if its between banh xeo and banh khot, I recommend ordering banh khot which is more beneficial.
This hidden gem is one of my favourite vietnamese restaurants in Toronto. All the staff are very helpful with our menu questions, pointing us to pictures on the wall to help us out, and I like to try a new dish every time I come here. My comfort dish is the fresh shrimp spring rolls and the ox tail dish. and I ve just tried the grilled pork sausage with vegetables that you wrap in rice paper. I never regret eating here and I always leave soo full. Delicious!
i chanced upon this place by accident a few years ago. The rating was low, but I was too hungry to look for others. Who knows it s so delicious. I ve came with my daughter and my wife. It s nice home cook food feel and we love it. Parking: Plenty of space.
Its
I d think twice before giving them a visit again The food wasn t up to par with other Vietnamese restaurants, it lacked in flavour, The noodles were served in lukewarm soup, the noodles were chewy and the meat was still raw, the soup wasn t hot enough to cook it This place was the only place I could find sizzling beef plate it was disappointing. Traditional sizzling beef plate is served SIZZLING this plate was not when it arrived the metal plate you could touch it should burn you if you touch it. the food was warm and not hot and fresh and was missing key ingredients to complete the meal to its traditional counter parts They had a crowd of drunks sitting by the door drinking and talking loudly, I didn t even spot a liquor license hung on the wall. I did not enjoy my time or my food there
The restaurant has so many options for you to choose from and plus the price is a steal!
Food is amazing, service is great and price is really really good We had hot pot and spring rolls and it was really awesome
Great beef stew Good sides Comfy chairs Quiet Food : 5/5 |
Tasty ball.
Nice lowkey place to go price is a bit high but the portions are good
I love banh xeo and nem nuong here
Dirty food
The boss is so mean and the food is not clean
Authentic, great flavor
Pretty cheap Vietnamese restaurant where you can find a wide range of dishes. The food is nice but could be better.
Not as like the photos. Food is average. Missing condiments. Not coming back.
I liked the food here. Its not a fancy place but the quality was good and the flavour was really good too.
Great option for authentic Vietnamese food!
The beef ball pho was just couple beef balls with pho. The bun bo hue was the same pho noodles with beef tripes and sate to give it the hue taste. The hu tieu was a mix of yellow noodles and pho sprinkled with few seefoods. Was still hungry and they definitely like to use pho noodles in every dish.
Excellent vietnamese menu, large selection of meat and some vegetarian options also. Wonton Soup bowl serving was enough to feed 2 very reasonably priced for a Quant dinner for 2, lots of singles wat here as well. Service was great.
Bad food
One of the horrible pho places Ive ever been. The taste is bad. Poor quality of meat. Not recommend this place. Anotber one across the street much and much more better!
Good place to have a few beers are cheap
The lamb hotpot is really good. 5 stars Updated: 1 star, the inflation is high, I knew it, but last time we came there, ordered lamb hotpot, they gave me all the left over from a lamp, feet and no meat at all. Never come back. They must do better.
The food is very good. We always come here once a week, and the quality of the food is always good. The staffs are very nice. We also feel like we re always welcome. I think this is one of the most underrated vietnamese resto around this area.
nice I loved it 8
Constantly good food.
Very nice place
Great
Really flavorful authentic Viet eats that other places shy away from. If you can take shrimp.. must try the Banh Beo, Bun Dau Mam Tom, and Banh Bot Loc
By far the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant in GTA! Their menu options have Vietnamese foods that you don t typically find here in Toronto such as Bo Ne, Banh Beo or Banh Bot Lac! It s amazing, definitely recommend. I live 40 mins away and I would come whenever I crave authentic viet cuisine !
Its a good restaurant, specialized in Nem n ng. Also to be a great service.
Ordered Chicken Shrimp fried rice. No flavour no taste, just raw stuff & charged $13. Disappointed :(
Ordered on Ubereats, was delicious. Generous portions and was flavorful. Friendly staff as well. Highly recommended!
If I can give 1 trillion star I will. This is hand down the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto. The food taste exactly how it would be in Da Nang, Vietnam. I feel like i was in Da Nang the whole evening. Make me miss home so bad!!
The most casual Vietnamese restaurant with great authentic Vietnamese food and good service.
This place is great. My first experience and the flavours are very similar to the taste from Vietnam.
Sucks
We ordered the salad roll and it was pretty bad. The cook made us with clumped pho noodles and the tons of salad, and very little meat. What happened?
Good food and nice service
I ordered Bun Rieu at the store to take away. Uber takes very little time to deliver to my home. This is my Bun Rieu soup, in an ice cube. Unbelievable! I feel so frustrated because they dont respect customers.
This place has the BEST l u dê (goat hotpot) ever! 4 person portion provides more than enough meat. The chao (bean curd) dipping sauce is a little bit over sweet.
NiCe food
I i would give no stars if possible! Worst ever experience on Saturday at this Pho place never happened before. I went in excited about hot pot. Waited my turn for a table. Next thing u know other groups were being seated & served before me. Preferences for sure. I dont speak same language. Unbelievable!
Delicious and very affordable We just went there unexpectedly but happy to find a good & affordable restaurant that can fill our hungry tummies.
Ok spot
It s a good Vietnamese restaurant in North York
Good service and good authentic food.
The food is good but the place is always warm/hot when it is not in the winter. They need to put more fans.
Very bad food. Authentic food display looked good but they taste way below my expectation
Been here quite a few times. Its very delicious!

Ok beef stew was good
Great place for beef hotpot
Tasty good food
Honestly one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA. Truly authentic, makes you feel like your in Nam. The restaurant stays true to our culture. Give it a chance and let it sink in.
Location is tucked away and easy to miss but the owner is very friendly and prepares orders quickly for take out. Does it accept credit cards.
The food is great nd service good
Very polite people with good service
So far the only place I know that sells Bo Ne, a dish I discovered when I was in Vietnam. Sizzling beef plate with eggs and bagette and a small side salad
Vietnamese food at reasonable prices
Authentic viet food, I love it. Its right in the same plaza as pizza pizza.
One of a few restaurant in Toronto that serves Bò né! It was attractive and delicious. Each portion of Bò né is served with 2 Vietnamese buns and is worth the price tag! The restaurant also serves a lot of other Vietnamese dishes.
Great authentic vietnamese food
DaNang Restaurant. (2017).
Very good food
Good spot for pho. Staff are friendly and service is fast.
This place was one of the best place I ever ate. So many varieties and tasted amazing
You should try Mi Quang, with a lot of vegetables, fresh and spicy. Good food, nice service.
Very good restaurant, the service is excellent, original flavor of Vietnam and the most important thing for us students is that the plate is cheap and large. Highly recommended
Good soup and reasonable
