Aside from the name(!), I gave this place a chance because of the high ratings. The food was delicious! But the service was terrible - staff did not care about their customers at all. They looked super miserable and unengaged. And the place was filthy - I even saw a leisurely cockroach as I was getting ready to leave!! 🤢🤢 It was also overpriced. $20 for Pad Thai in a filthy restaurant with cockroaches?! So despite the food tasting good, I can’t give this place more than two stars.
Hung Long Restaurant is great for a satisfying comfort meal. I ordered the Tom Tom which has shrimp and paired it with their amazing spring rolls—both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The service is quick and efficient, which is always appreciated. While the restaurant itself isn’t much to look at, the focus is on the food. Cleanliness was acceptable, which is all I need for a casual dining experience. For anyone craving great pho and authentic dishes, Hung Long is definitely worth checking out!
This is a okay place to try Thai food . Their menu has a lot of options ; family place - they fry tofu and chicken in curries , so if you do not like you can mention .
I like that you get Vietnamese and Thai dish options all in 1 place. I have no complaints about the food we ate. The place also got quite busy during the Sunday evening when we dined there. What I disliked was the poor quality of overall service we received. Right at the start, the waiter mentioned that the tap machine might not be working later during payment. It is working fine as of the moment, but there might be a possibility for it to act up maybe later. Another issue was that one of our orders did not come out. We ordered Pho, a red curry meal, fried wanton, and fresh rolls. The fried wanton was first to be served as expected, being an appetizer, then out came the Pho and red curry. We gave it some more time to see if the fresh roll just takes longer to prepare, but nothing came out within the acceptable amount of service time. I let them know about it and asked to just have it canceled from our order. Later on when I was paying the bill, I asked to confirm if the fresh rolls were indeed canceled from our bill. The person handling the counter cashier snapped back at me rudely and pointed to the just printed invoice listing all the ordered items. Something else that did not sit quite well with me is that they run out of the capacity to serve service water - water in glasses. I know they do serve water because I saw them in the other tables. When I asked the waiter, he mentioned that they no longer have glasses available. He asked us instead if we were OK to order bottled water instead. I find it unacceptable that customers have to be directed to a paid option instead of a commodity that should have been free. Whatever the case may be, they should have more than enough clean dishes to serve water in. There were just too many bad things to happen for me to leave a good recommendation.
HUGE portions and GREAT value for money. Loads of vegetarian options and abundant leafy greens in the dish, which is RARE in Canada. From what the chefs and service staff are talking, it seems this little gem is run by a Vietnamese Chinese family. Food was adequately flavors with enough umaminess but not too salty. Definitely a good lunch.
The restaurant is spacious and staff are nice. I guess I made a wrong choice having the Thai food here. Tried the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, green curry and spring rolls. Overall the dishes are lacking the herbs and spices. Green curry was overpowered by coconut milk and it was too sweet. The pad Thai was way too vinegary. The spring rolls’ shell was hard not crispy, but the filling was nice. Overall these dishes are not authentic and quite disappointing.
Clean and spacious with friendly staff. Many food selections to chose from the menu. I had B7 spring rolls, grilled chicken with vermicelli and avocado milkshake. Will definitely go back.
Check this place out! The best pho in the Downsview area and I’ve tried most of them! Don’t go up Keele and try the other one. This is where it’s at. The broth is flavourful, great portions for rice dishes and you get seated quickly, promptly served and once you’re done. You pay and head out. You know it’s a good spot when it’s not only Asians that come to the restaurant.. all ethnicities come here to eat! I’ll come here when I’m in the neighbourhood! Parking at the back is easier and plenty to find.
Male server kicking out customers, Attitude problem also it seems like servers has no sense of hygiene I wont go back
So
AAA-rated. I have been coming here since 2010 . Great food . Great taste.Great price. great staff. I recommend.satisfaction guaranteed.
Make sure you stop by Hung Long Restaurant if you re in the area. I tried the kung pao chicken, which was very delicious! I also had the strawberry milkshake, which was pretty good. Friendly staff and good environment.
Their Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca Phe Sua Da) tasted good, authentic, and made me nostalgic with the days I spent in Hanoi. Great and quick customer service for takeout as well!
I appreciate the customer service, the staff are always nice and respectful. My go to order is the either the Grilled beef vermicelli or Beef pho + fried spring rolls and everything always tastes fresh and flavorful!
One of the waiters can be kinda rude and hard to understand but overall not bad
Lack of cleanliness.
This is the new spot for pho, amazing food and customer service.
Good food, quick service, and tasty.
Great Bun Bo Hue, service was okay and the restaurant was clean plus enough parking during lunch time hours.
Best thai soups for take out
Not sure if they changed cook, food used to be so good but everything was so bland, no spices, not even salt and not freshly cooked. Food was barely warm, we wont be going back.
Best Chinese food in town definitely recommend it
Fairly consistent Vietnamese food. Not the best I ve had but not the worst. Tasty and affordable.
They need to change a wifi provider, their debit machine is always down. Sometimes they forget to tell you and inform you after you finish your meal.
Writing this post from their store. The Store hours is untill 9 pm and I came at 8.48 pm and they refused to add me into their dine in. I just wanted a hot soup and told them it will be very quick but they talking in their language (server-the manager & kitchen crew) and sound upset. Very poor service and unacceptable. Lazy employees to serve their customers. They make you feel that we here to beg instead we giving business. I hate this service alot. People do nit come her is you want to feel insulted.
Quality not too good
Very lovely place with excellent staff. Food is great, vibes are great.
Great food and service! Thanks guys
They have vegetarian options and i really like the veggie fried rice.
Service sucked, food was amazing.
I ve been here a few times and it s my new restaurant of choice in the area! Food is very tasty, service is speedy and kind, portions are more than fair for what you pay.
This restaurant is a gem! The food was good, and the atmosphere was amazing. Tonys warm welcome and joyful service added an extra layer of delight to our experience. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience. Cant wait to return!
Some of the best Vietnamese food in the city. I could give every little detail but you should just go check it out for yourself. Fantastic people and food.
This was our dad s favourite place to go. Always ordered the House Special Soup with rice noodles. We still keep the tradition alive and very much enjoy the authenticity of the food still received to this day. Our favourites and must try include the deep fried spring rolls, fresh rolls, chicken thigh and rice, and house soup. Thank you Tony for always being kind to my dad and sister. We love your hospitality and thankful for the food you make for us.
My go-to Vietnamese spot. The foos is affordable, delicious and the service is amazing. The owner is honestly the best! Food : 5/5
Food was delicious server was rude and miserable Prices were fair I definitely recommend Food : 5/5 |
My favorite pho soups
First time here pho and springrolls are delicious
Food it s delicious ,however as we got to the restaurant we got greeted by one of the servers in a rude way,the reason being that we tried to sit right away in one of the empty tables that still needed to be clean , and we noticed him greeting other guests in the same way because of the same issue , my honest suggestion to avoid that would be for them to have a sign that s says Please wait to be seated until they clean any available table , that will solve that issue , other than that food is great
Chili chicken was moist and delicious but didnt stand out. Serving portions were ok. Would try something different next time. Their weekly specials are on a white board on the wall. Lots of parking.
Best Pho in town!! Whenever I am around, I always stop in. Been trying alot of new stuff off the menu and nothing I havent liked yet. Best thing is the pork fresh rolls!!
This restaurant has completely conquered me, delicious food, cozy space, friendly staff. Next time Ill try the minhaof in fried rice with shrimp ribs
I had the Goat Hot Pot, even though it s meant to serve 2-3 people, it can easily serve for 4-5. I recommend this dish especially during the cold winter.
Amazing food, tried the T17 (short ribs & shrimp with fried rice) and B19 (basil lemongrass beef with vermicelli). Wow! Left me speechless. The meat was so flavourful and juicy. Everything was delicious and the portions were big. I cant wait to go back. The service was okay and left a bit to be desired, but I really didnt care after eating my meal lol. The food made it worth it.
Great pho. Very tasty. Also the staff was very friendly. It is kinda out of the way and the atmosphere was out dated. Thats why I rated this place 5 stars.
My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant for years. The food is exceptional and the service fast.
Amazing food! Def worth a try!!
Amazing pho! My favourite place ever! But the fish with the empty tank make me sad, they don t move I hope the employees put some vegetation/plants in the tank soon for them not very nice to look at :(
i <3 hung long
Noodles overcooked ,shrimp skewer undercooked, greasy ,you guys were so good what happened ,sorry won t be back
Wonderful food, very good price.
Ive been coming here since I was a kid, and Ive been to many different Vietnamese restaurants since then. However, I can honestly say that Hung Long is hands down THE BEST out of all of them by far! The broth in their pho alone is so consistently flavourful! If only I end work earlier than they close, then I would definitely UberEats from here multiple times a month.
The bun bo hue here is truly immaculate and the best I ve had in Toronto. It has so much flavour and just the right amount of spiciness. It s definitely my favourite dish here.
Came here on last Thursday, took almost 1 hr just for the Malaysian stir fried noodle. The server he tried to apologize I know its not his fault because I saw other table and take out person waited long time on their food too And the milkshake took too long too, even we finished the food we still had to wait 10 mins for the shakes
Been coming here for over 10 years. Always love the food here. Very fresh. Portion size is good. Such a variety of food choices. Been amazing with our need for substitutions as well.

To be fair, I was in Vietnam recently and my taste buds got really spoiled. Even so, the pho was really disappointing recently. Very little in the way of taste, and way too little broth for all the noodles. On top of that the owner has very poor customer service skills. Try a smile or a thank you occasionally. Time to look for another place.
Such a gem of a restaurant. One of the best mild chicken curries that I ve ever had, with nice vermicelli to soak it up. The pho is also quite fantastic, and the portions are nice sized. I only got takeout but it is a nice laid back restaurant for any time of day. Opens for late breakfast. For those staying in the hospital you are only a very short walk to get here. The service is so fast it s worth it when you can get a chance.
Without a doubt this is one of the best restaurants in the west end! We saw this little little family-run place, and decided to go and get some food! Well, we were in for a surprise, good surprise that is! The restaurant was full, the service was fast and the food, was exceptional! The bigger surprise was how reasonable the bill was! Hung Long Restaurant is located in a busy and rather old commercial plaza close to the CIBC bank in the corner of Wilson and Keele St. We loved the food, the patrons and the service and whenever we are in this neighbourhood, we would eat here again!
I love this place , always excelent quality food , always clean , I really love the green or red Currys
The 3 colours pork chop rice here is seriously good!!! Surprise the hell out of me. Bun bo hue is average though. Food
Terrible food. Do t get what they call Pad Thai. It was like sweet, with BBQ sauce... Just so wrong.
Great service and food. Fast takeout during lunch hours.
A nice Vietnamese restaurant. The beef pho Noodle soup was tasty and hot. The price on the menu are fair. Place is worth checking out if your in the area.
Excellent food, friendly wait staff. i highly recommend Hung Long. Every Monday there is a new list of weekly specials. I have always enjoyed eating at Hung Long
The food was amazing but the service was um .. well non existent. Was welcomed with a grunt and thrown a menu. Thankfully I had read reviews and expected it. The food however was heavenly! Go for the food but not the atmosphere!
Shrinkflation
Its my favorite pho spot in GTA. Very reasonable prices for great quality with lots of varieties and generous portions. Great staff as well.
Popular place. A very good surprise; will definitely come back
Owner was extremely rude. We had cold soup and asked for hotter broth. He proceeded to try and humiliate us loudly in front of the whole restaurant. Not worth it
Super rude owner with young children working. He yells at his staff and customers food and service are meh at best
Grilled beef with rice & a fried egg Fresh rolls Beef short rib with fried rice and a grilled shrimp skewer The portions at Hung Long are pho-nominal! You get a lot of bang for your buck the fact that it s pretty affordable is the icing on top this has got to be the best grilled beef & rice dish from a pho restaurant that I ve ever gotten. No lie, it tasted THAT delicious My BF and mother in law got soup and my sister in law got vermicelli, they all enjoyed their meals too I even was here last week myself when I was sick and got a beef soup myself and I can confirm that it was sooo good. We love this this place. Another time, I got the Beef short rib with fried rice and a grilled shrimp skewer The presentation, the portions, and the food itself are absolutely incredible
Food was great but the iced coffee with condensed milk is not full. 90% of the cup is ice and the actual coffee can be finished in 2 sips, when asked for more coffee, they couldn t do it. It s $7 plus tax for ice and a little coffee. Please put more coffee next time :(
Great food here. If your malaysian try the Char kway teow taste like your in malaysia. its very good here in my opinion best in the city.
Ordered the pho and the grilled pork chop with fried egg on rice . Food was cheap and cheerful however, the pho was a bit lacklustre. The rice dish was tasty and will likely return for that alone.
Ordered take out here and they were quick to prepare my order. Big portions and the pho was just as good as the other places that are hyped in the area. Wish the pho tai had a bit more meat but it was still delicious.
This place is a hidden gem in Wilson, the food is so delicious, best beef pho soup Ive had in Toronto, the spring rolls are a solid 10/10 and the general tao chicken is so delicious! The portions are great too, Ill be coming back later
Rude guys
Great service, even better food. Very nicely balanced broth, thick noodles, lovely pho
Went there tonight based on the good reviews I read. Ok the food was fine but the owner and the staff were so rude. I felt like they were doing me a favour. Not a thank you or hello when I walked in or out I ordered for take out. As I was sitting at a table waiting for the food the owner just comes and drops the bag of food in front of me. Had the sternest look on his face. Not even a thank you for coming in As I walked out I said to myself this place will never see me again. Don t care if food is good. There are a lot of places that I can get good food with a least some level of customer service And by the way. I found their prices expensive for what you get
Love the Food
The food is above average and better than my expectations. If there are some people waiting in front of the restaurant, it should be ok. Serving time is a bit long. The deco is a bit old.
Ive been going to this pho place for years now and its still very delicious! I always get P8 which is just their well done beef pho and their fried spring rolls so yummy! Best combo and best during cold weather.
Freshly cooked food, fresh products, very fast service and the taste is very good, one of my favorite places
this place is so good so good and the prices cant be beat! been here twice already, coming to a third soon!
One of the better Pho joints around the area. Pretty spacious and no line ups. The food is great, the rice platter is a big portion for the price, the Pho itself was OK. Good amount of meat but small portions in the noodle area. Otherwise a great place to grab a quick bite.
Best pho in Toronto
Hair found in shrimp pad thai. I ordered the shrimp pad thai today. The flavor was good but I was very disappointed when I found a long brown/black hair in it.
Deliciousness for a good price.
Eat the pho
Good vietnamese restaurant. Authentic food
food good is really good but beware of cockroach .
Great pho.
Good food. But too pricy
Excellent taste, portions are large service is not the best but you go there for the food not the service.
Food is excellent and looks like the pictures in the menu. The specials always offer a chance to try something new. The only reason we dont come here more often is the chatty staff member who weve overheard be a bit rude to their colleagues and can be a bit loud in the small restaurant.
They have some exquisite dishes. I recommend it. Their soup is very delicious.
drove 2hrs to get some of your best food. will be taking some to new york.
I would never, never purchase anything from thos place again. I went online, viewed the menu and contacted them to place an order for jumbo shrimp and pork chops. I stated the price I saw to confirm and the response was the menu price have changed. Notwithstanding, I proceeded to order total $22 I went to pick up my order. I saw 1 shrimp and a slice of pork chops. I immediately called to query if this was an oversight but I was told the menu says 1shrimp+pork chops, this I corrected and made reference to the menu. I am extremely disappointed- so much that I have no comments to the taste of the food. You do not value your customers.I work very hard for my money and to drive to your restaurant and was given that portion of food was not worth it and speaks Volume... your customers service is Very poor (you went as far to tell me: thats it- how rude. I dont know who you own money, or what bill your rushing to pay off... but its unethical, condescending... you are basically saying, thats all you need and it all about how I cook. This restaurants food is not the best in toronto. 1.stop rushing people when they are trying to order their food 2. Update your menu with the correct price and add a link the a menu. 3. Do.stock-taking and evaluate your restaurantservice. It goes to show how little you care about your customers. 4. You provide so.little to customer but yet you cut shirt on what they deserve. 5. Without customers theres no business 6. I was nit happy eating my meal. I have no time to waste money. 7. When people take the time to do business with you, make it count for them.
Great food and value
Good food, wide selection of Asian cuisine. Vietnamese food was good, we tried traditional pho and vermicelli bowl. Thai was okay, not authentic.
Food was very fresh and delicious. Service was friendly too
Portion of chicken with egg Was small
Been coming to this place for a while, it has becoming one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurant. But what confuses me is no matter how busy the restaurant gets it always seem like there is only one waiter. Big shout out to him whoever he is. It s quite amazing you only need to say the number and he knows what that is and what s inside.
Great service. Even better food
Nice
Their mango shake is alright
The foods taste so good! I usually go here 2-3x a month
My family s and I s favourite restaurant!!! Definitely the best pho in town. And Tuesday they make the best grilled chicken !
I come here all the time for pho. It has been one of the best so far. The service needs improvement though. Theres one guy thats amazing and its awesome when hes there.
The name sez it all ! Especially if you want to eat here, you should be a Hung Long Customer
Good food!
Ordered the beef brisket and well-done beef pho on Skip the Dishes. Im not sure if this is something you need to specify with this restaurant, but it came with NONE of the usual toppings/sides. Ive ordered pho from many different places, and it always comes with Thai basil, lime, and hoisin sauce, at the very least. The broth wasnt as fragrant as it should be, if it was made from scratch. The brisket was also super fatty. Worse of all, the pho here was more expensive in comparison to the other restaurants in the area. Most average $10-$14, and at this place it was $16. I was willing to pay more, thinking it may be amazing. Instead it was way off.
My go to for mixed authentic East Asian food! Great Tom Yum!
I used to come here before Covid Pandemic, bringing fam. and friends, I love the way they cook their food before, less salt, less oil as depends with the menu. However, on this date of last visit, my lady friend, as her first time in this restaurant, she was disappointed the way the server/manager or owner, whoever, handling the bowls with/without food. No handwashing in between cleaning tables and handling clean utensils and other stuff. Maybe theyre under staff? Oh well, hope my friend will come back here and still would recommend this place. But I doubt.
Honestly, one of the best places I ve ever eaten at! My daughter and I stumbled upon this little family run business, operating since some time it seems, and we know why! The food is exceptional! Located in a run down commercial plaza on the corner of Wilson and Keele St. The price is a bit higher than you would expect. Service a little slower than you would anticipate. It s family run, one would expect that. As long as the food is mouthwatering and delicious, do we really care about the Esthetics? Definitely a place to try! Should be 1st on any list! If in the area again, will be paying it a visit.
Huge portions and delicious dishes.
Pretty chill and casual viet joint. Prices are more expensive these days but still relatively cheaper than the average. The pho broth is legit, not too salty. But the rare beef could be a bit thinner. Rice dishes are generally tasty and vermicelli bowls are on point. Portion sizes are generous. Service is on the downside, pretty much non existent, but you go here for the food, not for the atmosphere. The viet Coffee is on the sweeter side but still legit.
Best place to eat good food
Order house specials pho noddle as take out, beef and tendon feels like hours over cooked, soups is not as good as I last order. disappointed
Great food
Food is amazing!
Like this place, tasty food, Vietnamnese, Thai, Malaysian cuisines, my favorites foods here are wonton soup & fried tofu with peanut sauce, nice service and the price are reasonable with big portion of food as well.
The food is delicious and the service is very fast! The portions are quite big but enough for one person. The business is family-owned, which is nice. Overall, highly recommend coming to this place!
Good value to price ratio
To be very honest the guy taking my order and also cashing me out was excellent in customer service skills . But on the other hand the portion of rice and sauce was perfect. But the size of the what was supposed to be prawns was a disgrace and extremely over stated. They are shrimps 2. I honestly would not lie nor hurt any business during this time of inflation. But inflation is on both ends $24.85 for a dish and obviously very disappointed is an understatement. Let the pictures speaks for itself. What you see in a regular size spoon, and is the tail of supposed to be a tail of a prawn. Very very disappointed. I am not a bitter customer just a honest ordinary and disappointed customer.
After growing up in the neighbourhood, I have eaten here more times than I could ever possibly count. Ive brought family, friends, and dates to this restaurant. The quality, portion sizes, and taste has been solid, throughout the many years. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is lovely and efficient. One gentleman in particular, often engages with the guests and always creates a wonderful, welcoming, and warm atmosphere in the restaurant (and is one of the hardest working individuals Ive ever seen). In my opinion, they make my favourite Pho broth in all of Toronto and their spring rolls and fresh rolls are legendary. Im super thankful for the many meals Ive enjoyed there, and Ill patiently wait until the next time I can dine-in and enjoy another. (In the meantime, I greatly appreciate their option of curbside pickup!) (Also, if you can tolerate intense spice, try the Malaysian Curry Chicken Vermicelli soup and thank me later)
Love this place! My husband and I always come here in this place. This is our Go-to places to eat if were hungry. Their Fried rice and porkchop even their House special Phò is SUUUUPER amazing! Tasted so good! Worth every penny! The serving is so big youll have to take the rest in to go.
Good place, just ready to pick up.
Yummy food and great service. What more could you ask for?
Very delicious as always!
My favorite restaurant of all time. If you ever visit this part of town, this place is a must to visit. A variety of Asian Meals to choose from and a variety of options to modify your choice of food. Whether you like Rice, Vermicelli or even Spring Rolls, this is one of the greatest restaurants Ive ever visited.
I love this place for their pho and vermicelli but recently their quality has went down. The pho I ordered didnt come with bean sprouts or mint or the hoisensauce, the amount of meat for a large is little... The last vermicelli the chicken was cold and hard it didnt taste fresh either. For the price I would expect better service and quality.
Love the PHO
Every Monday is Hung Long Day for my coworker and I. The chilli chicken on rice never ceases to satisfy, and on rainy days, the Pho Tai Vien is simply the best.
Good price. Food is OK. Not much flavour to the dipping sauce (which was also required for my bum dish). Not too many herbs for the hand roll.
Goat hotpot was so good. Definitely come back!!!
To much citrus in the dishes slow and expensive. Not worth it
Excellent vietnamise food
Good pho, good prices. Pad Thai uses ketchup sauce, sadly.
Friendly staff and homey style pho.
Great pho,
Amazing flavours, great service!
Best Pho soup ever! Thank you
Love the food here.!! They should invest in some renos though... A little run down.
Great food
This place have the worst Service ever.
Food is amazing as always
Hidden gem!
Price is okay. Food is okay. Customer service is not okay! The server/host taking is always on his cell phone. When food was packed up, I asked the guy, is this bag for me? He just said yes without even looking at me while he is busy sitting down with his cell phone. I went to my car looked at inside the bag and I was missing the other soup order. I went back inside the restaurant and I asked the guy, he realizes that the other bag was mine too. He apologized after the fact that I said, hes way too focused with his cell phone. Apparently, cell phone is more important than the connection with the guests in this restaurant. The restaurants image is very clear, the attitude and manner of the worker is shown best and it beats the taste and rating of the food.
Majestic and mysterious but yet so knowledgeable, I m in love with the coconut bubble tea and always get it when I come here. Thankyou so much for always providing with 5 star costumer service!
Its our 1st time to eat here and we waited for toooo long for almost 1 hour for our order to be served. When they served our food I have to wait for onother few minutes for my order. My kids and my husband were done eating and they did not served my food yet. I have to go to the counter to remind them with my order. I just have to take my order out because everyone is done their dinner. So upsetting! Their food is great I have to be honest with that..
Been ordering from here throughout pandemic and even to date. Their short rib & shrimp on fried rice is my favorite. I find their rice noodles are thicker as opposed to the typical thin noodles you will see in a pho.
Great takeout experience. Red Thai curry is delicious and so is the pho. Have been ordering throughout the pandemic and will continue to. Authentic taste and always fresh ingredients.
Nice place and Good food
Very delicious and authentic
Been coming here for years! The customer service and quality has always been great! They are always willing to make accommodations and go the extra step in making the experience better! Highly recommend the short ribs, fresh rolls and the spring rolls too! Their fruit shakes are great and always using real fruit too!
The food tastes good. The menu has many options. It is a popular restaurant.
