A very nice Vietnamese restaurant in this busy city corner. Their signature mango salad is especially yummy and refreshing. Must try. Pho is also amazing. Note: cash or debit only.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food reviews and posts! I felt like walking into a restaurant in Vietnam, my excitement boiling over in anticipation of trying their assorted platter with fermented shrimp paste dip, and I can't miss the pho. The huge assortment of proteins includes nem nuong (pork sausage), crispy fried tofu, dill fish cake, and boiled slices of pork. I can't even count the number of flavour combinations you can feast on when you factor in all the fresh veggies, all of which are completed with the signature dip that is a pungent kick of funky, fishy, salty, umami and a touch of sweet acidity to balance it out. I would HIGHLY recommend pairing this with a plate of broken rice, which's also a platter of its own, features egg sausage, crispy shrimp paste, grilled chicken and BBQ pork that pair excellently with the broken rice, but are even better as another protein to wrap in tons of fresh herbs. Additionally, the pho contains a generous amount of different beef cuts with the soft, comforting hug of the rice noodles, with a slightly sweet, beefy broth that's characteristic of the South. We got the Bun Dau Mam, Com Tam Dac Biet, Pho Dac Biet
Tried their new double chicken leg on rice (on a sign outside but not on their menu). Huge amount of rice, and the fried chicken legs were nice and crispy but lacked flavour. It was decent but nothing special.
This Viet spot is my favourite one. The food always taste good and fresh. Never had a bad experience ❤️ I recommend coming here and bring everyone you know. A must try item is papaya salad and salt and pepper squid.
I wish I can give this place 4.5 and that is just the start because I'm sure if I go again or on a regular basis to try everything, I would probably give it 5 stars. We order a sharing dish of the mango/ papaya salad, the chicken wings , shrimp , beef and sticky rice. The shrimp was full of flavour and a nice crunch went with it. The salad was soooooo good. I Ordered Bun Mang Vit for myself . The broth on my soup was clean and wholesome. The fish sauce that came with my duck was very flavourful, so much so that I had to ask for more.
This place has really really good food and reasonable prices. Portion sizes are large too. I have gotten the pho and the vermicelli (I've tried beef, and chicken on different visits). It's usually pretty busy, but there are plenty of seats, so I've never had to wait for a seat. Highly recommended.
I ordered the bun bo hue and my friend got the rare beef with chicken noodle soup. The bun bo hue was fantastic. Great flavor and a lot of variety in meats and balls. My friend said the rare beef and chicken was also great. Their avocado milkshakes here are also really good. They accept cash or debit only and there's plenty of parking in the plaza.
Great Vietnamese restaurant. The presentation and quantity of food is so good. The prices are reasonable. The service is prompt. My stir fried noodles tasted great. You can come in with a larger group of people here, there's ample space. Vegetarian options are lacking. The only thing you can get is noodles. And maybe rice if you can eat egg.
Beyond incredibly tasty authentiv vietnamese food, with very fine and well balanced taste!
Excellent food. We had pho and the chicken leg with fried rice The ice Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was probably one of the best we ve had in the area. Food : 5/5
Good Food. The Price is Right
Good value
I usually go to Metro their competition across the street. But by chance I find out this place has better food n large portion served. Its always packed, kinda crowded hence u are confined to a small table which I dont like normally. But the food is really good n u get bang for your buck. The only complaint I have is the red color of the bbq pork, it makes my soup a sea of red. Please dont use coloring on the pork, I only care about the taste, no more red color. I love the place!
Their pho was delicious. It reminds me so much of my moms.
Lots of Viet places in the area, but this is the best one. Friendly, Fast and Delicious. Thank you, Food
Good service, fast, delicious and good price.
Super impressed. Food was great. Great value too. I have 3 boys and they were full. Definitely adding it to one my go to places.
The pho here is incredible!
Good food and good service.
Our group ordered a variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed the food. The menu has some vegan options. The vegan stir fry rice noodle was good.8 Service was good too. Vegetarian options: The menu has some vegan options. The vegan stir fry rice noodle was good.
They only take cash or debit. Service is very quick so good if youre on a lunch break. Chicken pho was quite nice Vegetarian options: Yes
Best Pho spot in the area. I come with my family all the time. Its definitely a must try. I have even brought friends from out of town here
Definitely recommend. Better than Pho Metro. Broth is so good and they add so much meat. Service is 10/10. My new spot for sure !
I came here for the Bun bo Hue a couple weeks ago and it was the best I ve tried in the city so far and I ve tried A LOT. I don t eat pork and the server gave me the best cut of beef in pho I ve ever tasted! Their broken rice (I got chicken & beef) was good as well. I REALLY like the sauce it comes with. Overall customer service and food quality: 10/10
Always my first choice when craving Vietnamese food in GTA. Pho Tai Lan here is the best of same kind in Toronto, it reminds me of authentic Northern flavour with distinctive stir-fried beef. Salt pepper squid is also yummy for starter, and Bun Mang Vit is a blast. The owners are caring about guests. Only drawback is the noisy of busy days and big groups. Overall highly recommended for both Northern and Southern Vietnamese flavour!
Delicious food! The butter garlic fried chicken is so flavorful and juicy.
I normally order my pho with the beef briskets and tendons, great flavour and big portions, they are amazing!
I like the wide range of food selection, however the flavour is missing a bit. Also, I do not understand why the kitchen works is done in the dining room.
Delicious pho. Fast service and clean tables. Cash or debit card only.
Exceptionally good for a small pho shop. Prices are reasonable also. Fast service and a relatively clean environment . You wont have to wait long before the food arrives at your table. I come here whenever I feel hungry and wanted something quick and was never disappointed .
Went after being referred by someone in the area and wow so good, they hit the nail on the head. Awesome food and service
Delicious food, great portions, and awesome flavors. Beautifully presented and worth every penny!
Best Vietnamese in this area of the GTA. Good variety of Vietnamese cuisine beyond the standard Pho, Bun and Com. Its relatively new so if you were here 7 years ago, its not the same restaurant. No reservations but if you have a big party, let them know and theyll try to accommodate or suggest a good time. Parking: Coming South from Dufferin, it better to turn East in to Steeles to get to parking lot. Going south of Steeles, the entrance is very often blocked by on-coming traffic Kid-friendliness: Spacious seating with boosters available
The best Vietnamese spot in Toronto. Hands down. Super picky as we are Vietnamese. Flavors on point. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food
HaiPhong style fish cake here is very delicious . I away eat this food when i came here . And also the waiter here has a nice attitude. I love Non La . Will be come back next time
Updated July 8 2024: Were very disappointed in the decline of quality and taste at Pho Non La, leading us to downgrade our 5-star rating to 2. The Pho Tai Lan (no. 27) is now unrecognizable and mediocre. The soup base has lost its bold and aromatic flavor. Portions are smaller (much less meat), and the beef is chewy instead of tender. A lot of garlic and pepper have been added in to enhance the taste, but they couldnt save the dish. We might not return. Given the price, such a drop in quality is unacceptable. Original review: The food is excellent, mouthwatering and truly special. We love everything and highly recommend everyone to try their Pho. The Pho Tai Lan (no 27) soup base is bold, aromatic, delicate and at the same time very filling. Not only Pho, their Com Chien Dua Bo - Beef and Vietnamese Pickle Fried Rice (no 68) and Xoi Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Man - Fried Chicken Wings (with Fish Sauce) with Sticky rice (no 94) are also bombs. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and strongly believe this restaurant will be our number 1 Vietnamese restaurant for a long long time. Although its a bit pricy, feel free to give this restaurant a try and I assure that you wont be disappointed :) Updated: Weve just tried Pho Ga Chay Bo - Chicken Pho with Chicken Salad on side (No 24) and the flavour is exactly as the one we had in Vietnam. Truly authentic and delightful. A must try. Their Bun Bo Hue - Special Hue style Beef Vermicelli Soup (No 41) is decent, but the Pho is truly exceptional.
A list try place!! The food was so good and rich in flavor, we order the platter with Beef, sticky rice, wings, quail and the Mango salad is amazing, you can share this with 3 ppl or 4 depending on your appetite. The pho was good as well. Price its ok, it can be busy but theres plenty of seating.
Everything was on point. Quality was there and service was great. This will be our future pho spot, will be trying every dish available.
Male waiter with black glasses in the counter so rude. Did anyone trained him?
It is good food and service .
Favourite Vietnamese place in Toronto. Love their broken rice dishes and shrimp fresh rolls.
This is the best pho in Toronto that Ive ever tried. I had the special rice noodles, and it is outstanding. The broth is flavorful, and the beef is fresh. Moreover, the staff here are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.
Very generous portions, authentic taste.
Authentic and exquisite taste of Vietnamese cuisine. Worth the money and great portions. The staff are professional, amazing, and courteous. Highly recommend this to family and friends, and will frequently visit.
The food is so delicious. But its so much that I cant eat it until my stomach is full
Really delicious Vietnamese rice noodles!!
We arrived shortly after 5 pm, on a Sunday. This place is hopping as patrons slowly fill the restaurant. There were reservations for 10 plus people. The food is decent, the restaurant is very spacious and the service was quick. We Bun Bo Hue, Bun Mang Vit and Pork Chop / Chicken on Rice. There is plenty of parking on a Sunday evening.
Com Suon Nuong Op-la Cha Trung
Try their Banh canh cua, Pho tai lan, Com ga xoi mo and Com bo luc lac, you wont be disappointed ! Def my top 3 Viet restaurants in the GTA
Absolutely love this Vietnamese restaurant! The food is incredibly authentic and bursting with flavor. We tried the platter with beef, sticky rice, mango salad, wings, quail, and shrimp, and every bite was a delight. Dont miss out on their avocado smoothie too, its a must-try! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving delicious Vietnamese cuisine.
Been coming here since they open, my favourite restaurant in the area.
Very good pho here! Flavorful and big size. Broken rice is okay. Not the best Ive had but not the wost either. The ribs couldve had more flavor. Very cute and cozy atmosphere. Also good customer service.
A good option when you want a good clear broth soup, the protein platter is a favorite as not alot of viet restaurants will serve this. Will recommend everything I posted for this restaurant
Overall a great, low key, simple yet amazing food. Dont expect glamorous decor but its not bad either. The food itself is so warm, filling and tasy.
Very delicious. very delicious
Pho is good and portion size is above average. Chicken wings are made just right, one of the best ones in the city. Mango salad, rice and other dishes never disappoint either. They also have picked garlic and chilies on each table as a bonus.
The pho is 6 out of 5!!!!! I think the drink is a little overpriced and doesnt go well with pho but my god that pho is amazing 6 out of 5. The fried spring roll is good but pales in comparison to pho!!! 6 out of 5 pho at this place and its 4.7 avg on google for a good reason!!!! Important things must be repeated trice and right now i am remember how good the pho tasted, best pho i had in my almost 20 years in Canada. Definitely coming back for seconds.
Their pho and broth is definitely up there!
I was there with my mom and grandma and husband..weve dines in couple times before but we noticed some changes in the past couple of months. Food quality and options compared to other Viet restos especially in the area is definitely better however we were very dissappointed and taken back that they only gave us just 1 ridiculously small portioned bag of bean sprouts condiments for a large order of pho especially after we advised over the phone to provide at least 2-3 since they are providing less than half what avg Viet pho restos provide per bag and they dont even provide Lime, chili pepper, and the much mint and the other green herb or anything. Also they are always giving less broth than thy need should be and not filling up the large cup all the way to the top. Always 20%+ less filled. You cant do that when youre charging premium especially. Very very cheap stingy. Also they dont provide a pickup discount like everyone else, which they should at least provide 10%. Its now on the pricy side. Also the mango salad should have much more mango than papaya! Kinda cheating. Not sure if we would return...unless all these changes are taken seriously. The female lady owner behind counter all she does is sit behind the counter..thats not quite how you run a business...all shes concerned about is getting paid.
Tasting and friendly.
Visited my cousin in Canada and they know all the good Vietnamese restaurants. His friend treated me this wonderful restaurant. The food is great! Since I did not order the food as it was preordered, I could not tell you what it is. I did take a picture and post them. Inside is nicely decorated. I would definitely swing by and give this place a try if you are in Canada.
I pass by here all the time and I m so happy I finally stopped by!! The vermicelli with chicken and spring rolls were delicious! Very generous portion too! I want to come back now to try the other items and this time I d sit down to eat for sure!
Been to many PHO restaurants , hands down this is the best PHO in the GTA
Really great vegetarian pho (it had a different name but it was similar to pho and really good).
Nice pho. I love that the staff were actually friendly and take care of you, unlike any other pho restaurants. Portions are big. Will go there again and again.
I did not expect. They served delicious food here . We just give it a try, and it turns out the perfect choice. Nice staff. Clean washroom. Its very quite a good food . Highly recommended
Best pho hands down
Starting off the waiter immediately brings you a nice hot green tea which is nice. I ordered the medium rare beef noodle soup and I was impressed. They put a lot of meat in the dish which adds a nice flavour to the broth which also stays hot throughout the whole meal. Service is great and you can tell people love this place because of how busy it is during lunch!
Broth was too salty.
Best pho ever for my entire Toronto life
Good
I ve ordered from Pho Non La several times for dine-in/take-out/delivery and they never disappointed me. Their prices are quite reasonable considering the big portions and quality of the food. I ll recommend fish cake vermicelli soup, broken rice with pork chop, grilled chicken and steamed egg (they have the best steamed egg from all of the Viet restaurants that I ve tried), mango papaya salad, Northern tray (if you re okay with shrimp paste), and medium rare beef noodle soup. I haven tried other dishes but I m pretty positive that they will be tasty as well. This place remains my top 1 for authentic Viet food in GTA so far, plus they usually have pleasant Viet songs on :)
Great broth, springy noodles and tender beef!
I went to this restaurant with a Vietnamese friend, and we both loved our food. It came in a decent portion for the price we paid. The restaurant is pretty clean too. However, I am giving 4 stars because of the poor service. We went there late at night, so there were not many customers, yet the servers were spending time chatting with each other and none of them cared about us. It took forever to get the takeout box, and they never came by to check on us.
Very good food
Good pho restaurant. The foods presentation and portion sizes are okay, coupled with reasonable prices. The service is quick and efficient. The stir-fried noodles were delicious, and although the pho portion might be slightly smaller compared to other places, it was still quite good. The spring rolls and pad thai were excellent too, adding to the overall delightful experience.
Wow! This got to be the best pho Ive ever had! Highly recommended
Love the Pho and Bun Bo
Delicious Pho - maybe the best in GTA ! Friendly servers !
Very good foods, nice friendly atmosphere!
Enjoyed the house special pho here. Broth was hearthy and good enough portion size. Food
We tried Pho Non La for the first time. We had the Beef Noodles and the portions were generous, had good authentic taste. Their staff were courteous and quick. The interior was clean and looked pleasant. Highly recommend.
Kid-friendliness: Service & foods good I very enjoy it. thank you Food
First tine visit here, very very great meal in general. The store is located in the plaza area so many parking lots, easy to find and right at the corner.
Pho taste great And the fried chicken wings is so juicy
best pho toronto :)
It was the second time we came to this restaurant. The food definitely should be tried. We recommended chicken salad, fried squid, duck meat & bamboo vermicelli soup, Haiphong style fish cake vermicelli soup, bbq fried rice. However, I am not 100% satisfy because I think there was glutamate in food.
As a fellow vietnamese person, I found it difficult to find any good vietnamese food in my area. When this place opened I heard raving reviews from my relatives! I have yet to try the pho but the broken rice dish was good. Standard quality as well as the bo luc lac which was served with regular rice. The large variety share plate was ok. I liked the taste of the fried shrimp and the beef but it was not as good as when I tried it for take out a few months prior. The mango salad was a bit too raw I would definitely recommend this place if youre in the area. Parking can be tough in this plaza depending in the time of day
One must try Pho at this one year young restaurant. Every single bowl is so delicious .
Food is good. On the expensive side but good. Service can be a little better, not too friendly waiter/waitress
Excellent spot. Great food, good prices. Was curious about a item on the menu Ive never seen at other Pho spots and a server actually explained the dish and historical context around it, which I wasnt expecting but was happy to learn about. Definitely coming back!
Excellent food and fast service. Prices are in line with other restaurants. Lots of free parking.
Food was great, definitely go for the special.
Food continues to have excellent quality, along with great service
The best Bun Bo hue !!!
Always one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Authentic Vietnamese fare at a fair price. Highly recommend. Food
it is delicious
Beef sooo good Never going to others like pho express again Food : 5/5
Excellent food and excellent service
This place has fantastic food. I would definitely recommend dining in but one star is off bc when you order delivery the food is barely warm. The flavours and textures still wonderful though
Good pho, went on a Monday at 2 pm and was seated immediately.
We are so glad to find a Vietnamese restaurant thats good quality because Viet food is a staple for us. They have a wide variety of dishes and all are done to perfection. Serving sizes are huge and the space is grand as well. The service is always great. We became friends with the owners and she always welcomed us and provides excellent service.
It wasn t bad, just not authentic Northern food so we found it a bit odd/weird. It tasted good, otherwise. We d try Southern Vietnamese food next time, figured they would prob have been better.
5 star for quality, quantity and service. Fantastic place for pho like NON other.
We had the Bun Bo Hue , Pho, and Spring Rolls. All were really good. The restaurant is nice and clean and the music was nice. Ive been here quite a few times now (as PHO NON LA) , continues to be really good and I have been to quite a few Viet Restaurants.
Wonderful find. Pho was flavorful and full of meat and noodles. The chicken curry with rice was great. Going back for sure.
The Fish cake noodles (Bun cha ca) and Northern tray (Bun dau mam tom) were delicious, and the price was pretty reasonable. Bun cha ca was really light and comforting for a cold night staffs were nice, my new favourite Viet restaurant
The pho was great with lots of meat and the service was excellent as well. No room for complaint.
A hidden gem! Great pho with reasonable prices and decent portion sizes. We were seated and served quickly. Also ample parking in the plaza. Would recommend!
This place has some special dishes that you can not find anywhere else.
Had a great lunch got the pho Dac biet broth was flavourful had lots of meat in the bowl also got the springs rolls were crunchy and tasted good
A hidden Gem Pho place in North York . The food was delicious in a very cozy setting.
They offer two vegan options. Honestly, glad that restaurants are starting to accommodate plant-based diets. Ordered the vegan pho, and its one of the worst vegan pho Ive ever had in my life. They serve you some sort of soy sauce soup... it included two small pieces of tofu for protein, so better than nothing. I do not plan on trying the second vegan option seeing how the pho was like.
I didnt know this restaurant was here until recently and it was a pleasant finding that there is a decent pho place within 10 min drive. They are generous with portion size and meat and are reasonably priced compared to other pho places btw yonge and bathurst. On Steeles between yonge and dufferine, this place is definitely the go-to spot for vietnamese food.
I used to go here to get delcious general tao chicken more than a year ago ( it was called pho plus ) now its a new place so I ordered general tao chicken to go the usual. From the photos you can see the portion is small and the chicken was bland. I paid 16.89 after tax. The place looked nice and was busy but just speaking to the general tao chicken I ordered it was definitely not worth it. No spice no sweetness I didnt taste anything. P.S I called to let them know the chicken I was served was Bland ! And they said sorry and that was it...
Great service, authentic Vietnamese food. I want to spread it to everyone who wants to experience the highest level of Vietnamese Pho restaurant!!!
Best Pho Ive ever had
Just want to share with you our first visit here- The foods re very authentic- tasty and specially the pesentation so appertizing- Im deeply pleasnat with their services- smiles and take time to explain to us what the dish about- very satisfy !!!!
Great place with authentic Pha and other Vietnamese food . I really like their beef noodle soup and Appetizers.
It was our first time going to this place. It was an unplanned visit, and we decided to order similar Vietnamess food that we did from similar restaurants. It was a really good overall experience - great food, service, and atmosphere. Even the washroom was clean. It was a new discovery.
Best Vietnamese coffee outside of Vietnam
The best Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto. I love the Bun ca Hai Phong, Bun bo hue, bun dau mam tom, in there. My son doesn t eat a lot, but when he come there, he can eat a lot. Highly recommend this place for everyone
Spring rolls were extra delicious. The wings were also great.
Best pho and fish sauce chicken wings! Broth was very flavourful and piping hot. Parking: Lots of space in parking lot.
This is the first time Ive had rare pho because Im from the South. Its really delicious beyond imagination. Because pho is not my favorite dish, but Im really impressed with the taste of this pho (I ordered it from Uber and didnt eat it at the restaurant). The soup is the closest to the taste in Vietnam that I have ever eaten at many restaurants. Highly recommend. Thank you shop owner
Visited based on recommendations from friends. The food was very good and portion sizes quite filling for the value. The rice dishes had a generous amount of grilled meat (depending on choice) and also came with an additional soup that was light, which complemented the overall meal. Definitely a recommended spot in the area based on reviews and accessibility with ample parking spots and a bus stop nearby. Note that the restaurant accepts cash and debit only. Parking: Located as part of a small plaza, there are plenty of parking spots.
One of the best Pho place in Toronto, unfortunately waitresses is terrible
Overall a cery good place for pho. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Service was ok.
Bad service
The food is really good. 5 stars for customer service! Thank you!
Love this friendly neighbourhood joint. Never disappointed Food
I really want to eat here because I cant forget taste pho
Worst place ever didnt have chance to try their food. I came with my family to have lunch on weekend I understand its busy time. But I saw several servers talking laughing in counter and dont even realizing customers are waiting to be seated. I waited more than 5mins even I can clearly see there are empty tables. Worst Worst Worst experience!! They definitely need to have some one to manage the restaurant
Good BunBoHue here. Thin sliced beef, pork, Vietnamese sausage, crab meat balls (i think).. Excellent customer service. I feel heard with my requests here. Highly recommended!
Best Viet food we have so far Vegetarian options: Vegan option Food : 5/5 |
Best bun bo hue in GTA
Food and service were awesome. The food looked and tasted good.
Ph tái - rare beef ph - is one of the best. Other foods are good but not best compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.
I paid in cash today and even gave you a tip, but the woman who got the money at the counter was so rude to me. I paid and didnt give you any change. And when I asked for a receipt, he gave me a paper without a store name. I had the worst experience today. Ill never go there again.
Great food, but I do wish the portion was smaller for 2 reasons: - Smaller portion at a slightly lower price means customers can try more dishes - Dried ph noodles don t boil well when there s too much; the noodles stick together and thus make it hard to eat Food : 5/5
The food is so yummy
Food and service is amazing!
My go to pho place in North York area.
Excellent service and great food. My favourite in Thornhill.
Requested no onions and cilantro. Made a mistake on my order. Lazily fixed it by just scooping it out. Soup-base was already affected. Waiter showed visible annoyance that I raised the concern.
Highly recommend
Kid-friendliness: Lovely staffs Food
Highly recommended: Sauted Cube of Beef Tenderloin & Fried Egg on Rice, the beef was so juicy and flavourful even when you left it overnight and reheated it.
favourite pho place in toronto! super good prices and friendly staff
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto.. recommended everyone should try .. clean, good service as well as reasonable prices..
Nice staff, delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great prices. Will definitely comeback to try more dishes
Delicious food, I recommend the grilled chicken and pork chop with broken rice and the crispy spring rolls. You get your food pretty quick too! Parking: Its a plaza so theres lots of parking
The staff is super friendly and very helpful at answering all my questions. Im a pho junkie and this was my first time hereand I was anxious to try them out. I WAS DEEPLY impressed with the broth and the portion sizes the served for the Pho. The broth was super well done, not too oily and full of rich beef flavor. Im glad I didnt order extra noodle like I usually do because there was more than I needed. I opted for the Saigon style chopped rare beef with ginger pho and it was to die for I will be back again to try their coveted Fish Sauce Chicken Wings next!!
I ordered house special it has pubic hair in it. ilIt was so disgusting. The manager told me it was part of the tendon when clearly its not. It was black and curly long hair. sadly i didnt take the picture. The manager showed it to the kitchen and they made my meal free. Im not coming back here.
This is my favourite place to get pho! I would highly recommend everyone give this place a try! The broth is so flavourful I ve tasted both the beef and chicken pho and I love both the meats. The beef is always perfectly cooked and tastes like a good cut of meat. The chicken is always cooked to perfection and never dry. The service is always friendly and fast. The environment is clean and spacious.
