Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill in Oakville

This will probably get deleted but I ll be calling the health department with the amount of mice that were running around in the restaurant, imagine eating your meal & you see 3-4 mice running around INSIDE. They deleted my other review however I ll be reposting this if it gets taken down.

This chucks is horrible. This restaurant is by far the worst food corporation i have ever stepped foot in, from the start we were all looked at as if we were below them, and had no rights to do anything. We checked in for one of my buddys birthday dinner and were instantly given bad looks by staff and servers once seated we were accused of running out on a tab but this made no sense because this was all of our first times at this location and even the corporation as a whole. When we asked for proof they failed to give any and just showed a picture of a unpaid bill, we ended up getting kicked out for this and treated horribly by the manager and a server, please if you are in the area and looking for a good place to eat i recommend you DONT stop here, i pray that the people that work at this location can find the kindness in there hearts to treat people like they would want to be treated.

Great place for a cold affordable beer. Sometimes the service is spot on (weekends and evenings after 5:00) other times it is dreadful. It s a case of take your chance.

Liked it so much that me ,my wife and my 23 year old son went there 3 times in a week,ordered the steak ,ribs ,tacos ,all good,would recommend.

Very slow service Food was not fresh, smelly and dry - I did not get what was mentioned in the menu and expected to have. Left half of it. Very disappointed - it was the worst chicken I have ever had in my life in a restaurant. Where was the remaining portion? Did I have leftover?

We came to experience rib night. We are regularly coming to chucks very often and the service lately has been absolutely horrible. We never get checked on, we get our food late and never get our drinks refilled. I love chucks but we may have to go to the one in Burlington. Thank you.

The Beyond Meat burger with sweet potato fries was delicious, but what really stood out was the incredibly kind and attentive staff. They made the experience even better!

Honestly, this locations super busy, but if Courtney s working, I know I ll get great service. She s super easy to talk to and I can trust my order will come out perfectly. Jenn is just as amazing always a joy to be around, and with the two of them working together, the service is unbeatable. I can t say enough good things about them compared to other Chuck s locations I ve been to. Highly recommend I ll be back, like I am every week!

We were going to a show so we decided to get something to eat first. Chucks was a big mistake. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was cold and the fries were old as well as cold.

Service not very attentive not really sincere and pleasant no attention made to customer service. For follow up on beverage order or menu item and order. October 20 wanted to give a second try for food and service. Bartender served me my first drink not a problem I asked for a food menu upon arrival I got the menu at no point did the bartender asked if I wanted to order food from the menu I asked for a second beer she totally forgot about me and it was 10-15 minutes before she responded and realized that she had forgot about me., she finally asked me if I wanted to place a food order which I did but over all my experience was poor very poor. You really need to get your business together

We ordered 2 steak New York Peppercorn medium rare however. It was very very raw with lot of sauce on top, we also ordered steak T bone very chewy & just cudnt eat, mashed potatoes were not good. Then we had to order wings as we cudnt eat what we ordered & wings were good

On August 27th, I ordered food through Uber Eats and was profoundly disappointed with the quality. The chicken was damaged and appeared stale, making it inedible. After consuming a small portion, my companions and I experienced severe gastrointestinal distress, including vomiting. This experience has left me hesitant to use this service again due to concerns about food safety and quality control.

Drink prices are great here, the food is also decent. Especially worth it on rib days on Wednesday. Courtney and Jen are the best servers! Would love to have them working together more often, service is never slow when they are working with each other.

My favorite Chucks to visit is this one in Oakville. I will miss this place when I leave. The waitresses are very hard working. Food was great. And I will never forget one waitress especially, Carolyn, she could make me an absolutely amazing Gin Martini, like my Aunt could make, and she made me feel like I was home.

Courtney and Jen are the best bartender team in town! Whenever they re together on bar they absolutely kill it and always provide 10/10 service. Miss seeing them both!! The food has gone down in quality a little bit recently. I believe they changed kitchen staff.

**Disappointing Experience at Oakville Chucks** Weve been regular visitors to Chucks in the Burlington area and always had great experiences. Recently, we visited the Oakville location with a group of 8, but the experience was disappointing. We ordered steak with mashed potatoes, along with a few other items, but the mashed potatoes had both a bad smell and taste. We informed the waitress, and she removed the item from the bill. However, I expected someone from the team to come and address the issue further, but no one did. Additionally, we were surprised to see an additional 18% mandatory tip added to our bill due to our group size( Above 6 ,we were 8) which was not mentioned anywhere beforehand( Not even in menu, usually restaurants mention this in menu). This was the first time we ve encountered this at any Chucks location. Overall, it was a disappointing visit, especially compared to the experiences weve had at other Chucks locations. Hopefully, these issues can be addressed moving forward.

Hi I been here a few times. I tryed the burger. To be honest It tasted like the ones u buy at the grocery store. That there turned me off. It would be awsome if it was house made. That way the flavours pop. I tryed the wings not bad I was happy. I killed those off quick with some Corona beer. The staff are generally good. They take care of the customers well. Unfortunately sometimes when its busy it takes a while to get the bill. For anyone coming here. If youre in a hurry get the bill early. Thats my advice. One more thing try to come when its Not crazy busy. Youll get your drinks and food quicker and better cooked.

Another horrible experience at the Burlington Chucks yesterday, beginning at noon. Sat ourselves in the bar area and, greeted by our waitress, Heather, who took our drink orders, after waiting over 15 minutes and, btw, the dining area and bar area were, litterly empty. My friend ordered the Chucks Burger ($9), with fries and gravy. After an hour, he questioned whether or not he had placed his order? The meal was finally delivered, not by our waitress but, by a member of the kitchen staff. The burger was undercooked and the fries were stone cold and dried out...not to mention how scarce the portion was! Of course, our waitress was nowhere to be seen and, never did stop by to ask how everything was and, once she did, she brought a pint, that was not ordered and, we were charged for. We mentioned the poor quality of the food and, she agreed that the fries are terrible and that they receive numerous complaints, daily about them. She then brought out the bill, which my friend took from he, paid and, we left. This time I remembered to take our copy because, without it, nothing will be done about the complaint! I sent a complaint to the manager today, whom I dont expect to hear from, outlining our dissatisfaction with the poor quality of food and service and, noticed, on our receipt, we had been charged $15.99 for the burger, stating it was a Smokehouse burger that was ordered?!? There werent any onion rings or mushrooms on the burger! We frequent Chucks, other than the Burlington location, for obvious reasons and, have never experienced anything like this! Also, despite having an overflowing ashtray out front, the concrete, leading to the front entrance, is inundated with butts...just gross! Lets see if, this time, we teceive a response from a member of the Chucks team and, if any compensation is offered?

Terrible service, would t go back

Order placed for take-out, 15-20 minute pick time given. When we arrived the food took an additional 25 minutes totalling 45 minutes. Very disappointing service manager asked and continually said 2 more minutes. Clearly they forget the order. Ceasar salad was brown amd very small. Overall disappointed and likely wont return. Overall restaurant was understaffed, run-down and moderately busy for Saturday at dinner time.

Value is good. The service was mediocre. They are clearly understaffed. Our server was serving the whole restaurant and handling take out. Had to ask to have the table cleaned .

New ownership, things have gone downhill. Took 20 minutes to have someone ask us for drink order, then appetizers never came and then the chicken parm had hot buffalo sauce on it with the marinara sauce. Used to be a semi regular spot for us.

Went after 9:00 pm ordered 1/2 price appetizers mozzarella sticks overcooked no cheese in them like eating fried dough. Also wings rings and fingers wings were soggy and cold , fingers were dry and hard as well as cold never got onion rings gave me fries instead never again

Good location better than Burlington. Drive the extra 15 mins and come here instead. The owner of the Burlington location has no customer service skills and as a regular consumer will treat you like garbage. Came here during the Leafs playoffs every one was amazing. Good service no issues. Dont go to Burlington come here ! Kudos to the owner thank you for having a great bar ! Should be proud of your workers ! Much better than Burlington will always come here instead.

So Id probably give this place a 0 but it seemed like a nice atmosphere so heres 1 star for ya. Went the other day with my dad, got sat & almost 15mins went by with no service what so ever. We left after being ignored for that long

The price is very decent, but I think to keep running at this level they compromise on service. People were friendly, but not enough staff for the number of tables.

Newer fresher version of the Brampton restaurant. Same great value with a larger fresher building.

I ordered the steak bites for a late night snack and did not like it at all. Very dry and bland. BUT I did try bites of my friend s food and enjoyed the regular wings, shrimp tempura and calamari their regular steak was decent too just don t get the steak bites

Visited during game 7 of Stanley Cup finals. Great lively atmosphere. Food was decent and reasonably priced. Bottled beer was the best deal and very cold. Great place for big sports events.

Our server TI was just incredibly wonderful. She gave us amazing service and was so friendly. The food and drinks were rlly good.

Took over 2 hours to get my meal. Clearly a management issue as the crew worked very hard and were very courteous but were obviously understaffed. Avoid at all costs.

My husband ordered the sirloin ((medium and lobster tail, the lobster was very dry and the steak was well done. I ordered the bone-in Newyork, mdm rare, and got a strip loin. My order was corrected and came back exactly right - and the sides were replaced with fresh and hot. They weren t able to serve Heineken as the keg was warm, and they hadn t yet had any baked potato available (it was 6pm when we ordered) We finished with the Klondike Crumble The atmosphere is VERY loud and much of the overhead conversation isn t family friendly Overall the food was good and we enjoyed watching the golf on the screen over the bar but not a destination we plan to add to the repeat spots

Stay away!!!!!!!! Waited an hour for food when I asked the manager what was taking so long he replied the cook burnt the burgers and had to cook them again . My brother and my Mom s burger were still burnt, besides that it is so loud in there you can t talk without yelling. Never to return. Take this as a warning.

Went to patio asked waiter for a pitcher of beer. 25 minutes later my friend who recommended the place went inside, it was virtually empty but the waiter said he forgot about us. He came back with our pitcher and warm glasses. Not even frosted and said sorry. We had to skip kunch as we had lost it all. The bill wad $17.95 for a mini 3 glass pitcher, I paid $25. To him but wont be back. My friend might he works around the corner, but he wont bring friends again.

This is famous for most Chucks Roadhouses for some reason. Your bartenders and servers NEVER check on their customers!!! Its honestly mind-blowing how these people get these jobs but leave an empty beer glass infront of a customer for 10 minutes without saying anything. The place is empty. I saw MULTIPLE people come up to the bar to get some service from their waiter/bartender. GET NEW STAFF IMMEDIATELY!!! Staff that cares about their customers and know how to run a bar. Absolutely pathetic.

Came here a couple days ago with my family and we received terrible service. It took the bartender a while to come over and even greet us, we ordered, and it took even longer to get our drinks & food. No drink refills offered.. my partner and I had to share 1 drink slowly to not run out as no one came back to check on us. The people who ran our food weren t serving us, and we had to wait until the end of our meals to tell them they forgot our appetizer, we needed napkins, and they dropped off side plates when we were practically done eating. Terrible service. Long wait times when it wasn t busy, poor communication.

Waitress forgot our appetizers after 1hr we asked and she said she forgot to put in the order when it was placed with thr meal. Waiting foe the appetizers again tells us there is no calamari.. Whem the main meal was brought it was completely cold, steak lobster tail mushrooms, we asked to speak to a manager and he offered 25% off the meals, as if we were at a store doing price match or something and did not take into consideration the whole situation of no appetizers and horrible meal. He did not even initially apologize for the situation. Only after argumenting the whole situation was when he apologized not coming back to the table to see of everything else was ok, we left without seeing him again and as for the waitress she was not worried about the situation. We requested more sauce and I had to remind her a second time Restaurant was not busy at all so no motive for forgetting or for the cold meals. Absolutely horrible atmosphere with the waitress and the manager Would not recommend this location at all and hope there is serious action taken with other customers so no one is treated like this experience I had.

I would not recommend this location at all. Save your time and money. My coworkers and I arrived yesterday at 6:30pm and immediately put in an order of appetizers. By 7:45pm, the appetizers still hadnt come out. The waitress said she forgot to punch in our order, and came out a second time to let us know they were out of majority of the appetizers we ordered and still had the nerve to charge us full price after serving it to us after 8pm. Once our meals come out, they were completely cold and inedible. Waitress and manager were both unapologetic and nonchalant. By far the worst service I have ever received. The manager only wanted to discount 25% off, not concerned about our horrific experience but cash in his pocket. To make matters worse, I asked for extra sauce for the chicken I ordered, the waitress said she would be right back and did not return. Laughable! I have never encountered such disorganization. And the restaurant wasnt busy at all, barely anyone in there. You can tell there is no effort put into training their staff.

Understaffed to accomodate patio orders! 1. Patio tables were dirty. 2. No napkins and cutlery provided whatsoever. 3. The hoarding says ICE COLD BEER but the draft beer offered was hardly cold. I requested for another but the waiter said its the same refrigeration for all beers and thats how it is going to be. 4. I ordered the wings, rings and strips appetizer. The onion rings were literally dripping with oil. How is it even allowed to come out of the kitchen!!? I had to leave without finishing my beer because of the terrible service, food, and beer. Not planning to return anytime soon. This is the first time I am writing a bad review for Chucks. Other locations have always served well. I wont name the waiters because clearly they are understaffed and have a huge area to serve. Cant really blame them!

Chucks is amazing. I had heard good things and was not disappointed. The bill for friendly and informative service and fantastic food was a wonderful revelation. Whats not to like about a liter of Heineken for under 10$, and 1/2 price delicious appetizers after 9 PM. The choices are many, and ample , full plate appeal with a smile. I went to see Wimbledon Tennis and my wish was looked after immediately. Thank you! Update: Its Spring 2023 and we are watching the Maple Leafs on Ice! Chucks is rewarding all Fans who come to watch the Leafs play on the evening of the game with a 4$ /Pint of Budweiser/Coors Lite Fan Promo. (The Staff will explain the details of the offer) By the way, all Appetizers on the Menu inc. Wings are 1/2 Price after 9 PM. Enjoy! It s May 2024 time for a re visit! Lots has changed! The Patel Family has sold, and a wonderful young group of Gentlemen has purchased the franchise this spring! Dev and his partners are learning to manage Chucks! It s the hockey playoffs, the French Open is here and June brings the Euros and the Summer Olympics! This place is jammed every night, it s a pleasure to see the success, the new owners are meeting the challenges! The front of the house is being revamped to handle the popularity, changes have been made, it s working! The food delivery is keeping up, standard Chuck s fare and the volume guarantees freshness , just be patient, the team is there for you! The tap choices have been reviewed, but Heineken is still available @ 10$ / Liter, Madri has been added and the usual domestic offerings are there for you! Yea, Appetizers 1/2 price after 9PM are still a feature! Its attracting a young, dynamic crowd, mixing well with the regulars, get in here and enjoy! Went for half off appetizers after 9 pm. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. Although I did get 1 chicken wing that was just a breaded bone. Drinks were good as well. Prices are reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful; although slow and not very attentive. However it seemed to be quite busy so that makes sense.

Fries a bit soggy

I had Piper as a server a couple nights ago and she provided us with the best experience. Always ask for her when you go, I promise you re guaranteed a great time on top of a great dinner. She was phenomenal, I ll be going back for sure :)

Update: new owners. Immediate reduction in food quality and quantity. Will try the one on Appleby instead. Now tiny wings and only 3 wings and fingers with the wings rings and fingers appetizer instead of 4. Even less onion rings. (6 individual rings) I questioned the service staff as we were paying and he told us it was a result of the new owners. We come nearly every Thursday after 9pm for half price apps. As it s a good deal, but if half price means nearly half size it s not a good deal and we will go elsewhere. Original review: Hockey game in - even at 10pm place was packed on a Thursday! Good news though is that service was good, good came out quick (half price apps after 9pm!) and refills came in decent time. This place can handle a crowd!

Came here for Father s Day. Not busy, barely any people. The wait time for service was forever . The server never checked on us, no water or anything else offered. Had to flag them down and ask for service. The washroom reeks of urine. Love chucks roadhouse but never coming back to this location.

Reasonable prices and good atmosphere

Despite being busy (GO OILERS) they found me a spot on the patio quickly. Beyond meat burger and onion rings hit the spot, and they have $5 Wayne Gretzky 6 oz Pinot Grigio on Fridays. Vegetarian options: Beyond Meat burger, nachos, salads...limited options, but done well.

Great spot to catch a game. Food is very reasonably priced.

I had the pleasure of visiting chucks a couple days ago, and I had one of the best dining experiences I ve had in a while!! Our server Catrina was so polite and attentive food came out quick, and all drinks were served and refilled perfectly. You better believe I ll be coming back this weekend!!

She was extremely considerate of how long we were taking with placing an order and even recommended some fan favourite dishes. This place is a freaking joke, This is the second time I have gone in to sit at the bar and have waited over 10 min to get a drink. Made eye contact with multiple girls behind the bar but they are too busy chatting with each other or other customers to ask me what i would like to drink. every employee should be fired absolute trash !

Had a bad experience prior and said i wouldnt return.......Came in again for food and drinks with my son and the experience was amazing. Ordered appetizers spinach dip and bruscetta our main meal was the ribeye steak with mashed and the full rack of ribs Steak wasnt great the first time out very overdone but our server made everything right for us before we left and I would return again because of our server..... Tasha is one of the best bartenders you could have she was so friendly and great smile really nake you feel welcome

Went there last night with friends to watch the game. Was irritated at first I felt like they had no adequate system for seating. The hostess was a bit rude and unhelpful as well. Regardless the drinks and food were cheap but actually good I thought we were past those days. Christian was great overall too he made sure we were good despite feeling like they were understaffed.

My friend I have been hanging out at chucks to watch the leaf playoffs. We have had a great time, however we have had so issues with getting a table or our food on time. Our server Chris was incredible and delt with us amazingly He was one of our best servers and will definitely return

Chris was my server, one of the best ive ever gotten. Very attentive, super clean with everything, got us everything we needed, super respectful and organized! Definitely coming back just to have him as my server again!

Been here too many times to count, atmosphere is always great, and service is always top notch. Chris has been a certified beauty in making sure everything s always good with our orders. Also the 9pm half price specials are such a good value, feels like you re robbing the place.

Service was absolutely awful. Worst of any Chuck s I ve ever been to and my husband and I enjoy Chuck s every where we travel. The management was not even supportive. We weren t looking for a discount or anything we just wanted management to know that there was an issue. The waitress was even rude at the end returning change to one of our group saying I think you need this more than I do . Absolutely rude and disgusting.

Great restaurant, food is delicious and prices are great. Service was a little slow and they were out of a couple things we wanted but it was pretty busy. Overall, a great place!

Saturday night stopped in and ordered chicken parm. The chicken burger patty was oval and hard, seemed out of a frozen box and was not hot. Disappointed, seems I should have ordered something else.

We come in at 11:10, the waitress says sit anywhere you want and actually allows us to get seated. 30 mins go by and no one asks us for food or drinks. They just walk by. Finally the person who seated us tells us she clocked out and that shell get another waitress for us. Waitress never comes and instead, someone else comes and says last call already happened and we cant order anything. Huge waste of time and disappointment. No one told us anything, why even bother to seat us. Zero chance of coming back.

Very disappointed with my experience here. My boyfriend and I came in at 11:10 and we knew it was late but we got happily seated, false hope. A blonde waitress gave us menus, but no one said a word to us for 30 minutes. Finally, the same waitress came by and said that she clocked out and said someone would be right with us. At this point we had no idea the kitchen was closed and we couldn t get food OR drinks. Then another waitress comes and tells us that they already did last call so we left. Very disappointed, had we not been seated, we would have happily went elsewhere, but this wasted our time and felt extremely dishonest. Will not come again.

Nice pleasant place for an informal quick bite. The ribs were tasty. Chicken is a bit dry. Was expecting the drum and thigh meat but received the breast cut instead. Fries were the best

Very good prices for very decent food. I would absolutely try coming here again. The rib and wing combo on Wednesdays is a great deal.

The day I went with my friend to have a beer and some appetizers, it took a while for us to be attended. Some big party was going on clogging the attention of the staff. But by the time Sueha came to attend us, with a big and warm smile, everything went quick and smooth. We had a great experience.

Great place for a reasonable tasty steak. Amazing service. Only giving 4 stars cause they were out of the wine I liked. Everything else was perfect.

Each time I come for half price ur forced to have a drink order wings and each time the drink is half a glass!!! U real back to firehouse!! Bronte terrible service ! They don t even bring over napkins each time they say they re busy lol they leave u and don t come back to see if u need anything else !!!!! Never again !!!

Had the nachos. Asked to add fresh ground beef on it unfortunately they dont carry fresh ground. Server accommodated by adding a chopped up burger patty. Food was delicious. Recommend chucks on Speers

Went here for dinner with my grandparents. Got seated, nearly 30mins has gone by with no sign of a server. Many servers walked past served tables that came in after us. No drink orders. We ended up walking out.

I was here on Friday with my friend and my experience was subpar. The server was overwhelmed and neglectful. My friend who ordered the fish and chips did not receive a fork or knife. How the heck was she supposed to eat it? We had to ask multiple times to get napkins. Basic items that should be provided were not. I am not sure that I am going to return

What can I say other then excellent food for an even better price! And that bartender Courtney stays on top of the orders like a machine, running the bar like the navy. Forever my go to spot to watch a leafs game.
