I hate places that waiters kind of eye you and the second youre finished with your meal give you the check. This time it was even worse because I was in the middle of a phone call. also scrambled eggs where overcooked and bland.

Nelly was amazing. She was so kind to us and kept bringing on coffee refills. Food quality was amazing. We ordered club sandwich and some more food. 4 meals very well cooked and huge. Also serve turkey bacon if someone is looking for bacon alternatives. Also carry dairy alternatives.

Pretty average breakfast. The food is as good as expected and the service is average as for any food place.

Food was average at best for the price paid. We ordered a buger and eggs benedict. Hollandaise sauce was way too runny. Nice server but I would not return.

This Location is aweful very disorganized and no qualified staff working in the kitchen no waitresses to Service and one person seems to be doing everything while everyone else is just standing around location is looking very dirty and dusty and Dated and was there for Breakfast and took an hour and half to get our food and two tables walked outed for not being able to get service and being too slow just Disgusting !!!!!!! Will not be returning

I normally come here for breakfast. I decided to try their lunch, a clubhouse, turkey clubhouse it is stellar it s delicious I love coming to this place and the service and the staff are wonderful.

I m writing this review as I eat my left over breakfast poutine from yesterday- it s still delicious!!!! Left overs have never tasted this good. We ordered the breakfast poutine, the salmon Benedict, French toast, pea meal breakfast and pancakes. Every single dish was on point and delicious! Our meals arrived at almost the same time, hot and tasting fresh. The bottomless coffee was also fresh and hot. The server was very friendly and attentive, she was all smiles and her joy was contagious. I will definitely be visiting again!

We just had an absolutely horrible experience at this restaurant today. The hours posted on the door say they are open every week day until 3pm except for Monday. Today is Friday. My son and I went there for brunch and arrived at 2:22pm. We ordered our food by 2:30pm and received it at 2:45pm. The sausage I received looked like it was first made at 6am this morning and then refried several times. The outer skin of the sausage was crunchy and tasted like charcoal and the inside of the sausage was very dry and tough. I sent it back and there was no issue. I received new sausage by 2:50pm. Up until this point the service was great. But here is where it went quickly to a horrible experience. My horrible experience was not due to our server, who had great customer service skills, but it was due to the much older, taller woman who worked there.. easily identied by her horns and firery eyes. I believe she is the owners Mother. The young female owner is not at this location much anymore. It was 3:03pm when the old woman was rude. She stood 10 feet away from our table and said, Were closed now. Ill be locking the doors in 10 minutes. You need to leave before then. She had only given me my food 10 minutes prior! She treated us like we were unwanted criminals. So my review is, if the old, egg N@z¡ woman is working do NOT eat here... she makes dining a horrible experience! NO EGGS FOR YOU!! For the overly high prices they charge (see attached pic), I expect reasonable customer service. That is not an unreasonable expectation.

Nelly served our table of 4 + a toddler and she was without question the best service I have ever had anywhere. Food is good too!

Friendly service, greeted outside that our table was ready server at the table made sure everything was good, came back asking if we needed anything. Food was excellent we both had the notion omelettes with potatoes they were amazing!

The venerable ma and pa simple diner breakfast joint thst has changed with the times over the years. In my lifetime its gone from the classic linoleum floor and plastic table cloth ,egg and coffee joint to a pretty , wood table and cute decore modern breakfast place. Nothing too fancy but then not super expensive either. All thr classic canadian diner favorites here. Coffee is probably the week spot but good enough to chase down great griddled potatoes and eggs Benny. Excellent service. Parking: Parking on Sundays on street is free. But limited spaces. Get there early for a decent spot

Nelly was a fantastic waitress- she anticipated our needs and treated us like family! She gave us travel recommendations and was so genuine and sweet. Would definitely come back for brunch!

I work in the downtown Oakville area and come here on a weekly basis I have never had an issue with the food (which is SO yummy) or the service - very friendly, they learned my name and order and always had it ready to go! Particularly grateful for them during my pregnancy when I thought I might DIE if I didn t eat their French toast!! The staff is wonderful and the owner/manager/cook is a gem. Soft-spoken and humble, but passionate about what she does.

I used to come here when the previous owners had this place and was great. Now its ok. Never open on time. Cook is late. I love to support small businesses, but if this place cant even be open on time, I will just go somewhere else. Clearly, the new owner does not care about their own business, which is pretty sad.

My husband and I had breakfast here after an appointment in Oakville and it was the best breakfast I have ever had. Tasty and hot food and the service was impeccable so friend and nice! The outdoor patio was so nice! I highly highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Can t wait to come back again

My husband and I were from out of town and were just strolling in the down town area when we decided to grab a bite here. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon and inside there was only two tables occupied, though one or two tables outside were occupied. We were told upon entering that because a party of 11 had just ordered, we would likely have a longer wait for our meal. We were told likely a 30-35 minute wait, which was a little longer than I would have liked, but because it looked like a family run business with few staff at that hour, we said that was ok as we were not in a huge rush were enjoying the day sight-seeing. Besides the party of 11 at one group of tables, there was only one other table with 2 people inside and it looked like they were finished their meal. Well the 30-35 minute wait was closer to an hour and while the servers were apologetic and tried to keep us occupied by offering more coffee while we waited, that wasn t the worst of it. While we were seated, another older caucasian couple came and sat down a few tables from us and some how, magically, that couple was served their meal ahead of us. Hmmm. I thought if they were so busy with the party of 11 ppl, how did the newer couple manage to get their meal while my husband and I were still waiting for our combo breakfast and veggie omelet which seemed we had ordered before the other couple? Unless we missed something and the other couple ordered before we did (they may have been regulars as two of the staff were chatting with them at different times), it was very unprofessional. So for average tasting food and an uncomfortably long wait, I can t say I d recommend this place. First impressions are indeed lasting. We won t be back when we visit the area again and will choose another establishment to dine in.

Honestly, the food and service were good. Everything would have been fine had I not gone to the restroom before leaving. Single toilet bathroom and I was not alone! On the wall, looking back at me was a ROACH! So this is mid day in the light no food in bathroom that I was aware so I can only imagine what must be happening in that kitchen, especially at night! They say if you see one, there are millions! Left feeling sick and itchy!!! I won t be back! I imagine this is something that s not foreign in the restaurant industry but this should be taken care of and under control, most definitely not somewhere visible to patrons! Gross. *EDIT* so yesterday I looked up my review to see if the establishment had responded and noticed that ALL of their reviews were taken down. Today I checked again in case it was a glitch, all reviews are back, and conveniently, 3 more reviews added less than an hour apart from each other. I d put money on these people being affiliated with the restaurant in someway, you see a review a week or every few months then, bam! 3 in a row. I m sorry but this goes against what Google reviews are all about and frankly, is totally dishonest to future patrons. You have a problem there, fix the problem and try relying on honest reviews instead of misleading your customers!!!

Super small inside and most tables only accommodate 4. If you need a high chair there is barely room to place it. I would probably go else where if you are a family of 5. This place is much easier to go as a couple. And food was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. But mine compared to everyone else s lacked. I shared it with two other adults who agreed.

Really good options for brunch, even for kids! We thought the service was amazing, and the wait times for both seating and food was excellent, considering how busy the place is. Parking took longer than being seated, but theres parking available on almost all the streets around this restaurant - just have to drive around and look :) Kid-friendliness: The kids loved being seated on the padded bench side of our table. The food options were quite good for kids too, and the waitress provided crayons and paper with objects to colour in - kept our kids busy until the food came out!

The food here was so good! The prices were so cheap for the portion sizes. Everything was flavourful and fresh, and the service was great. It s a very cute and small place in a great area, would recommend!

The Northern omelet was okay, the home fries were soggy and under cooked. The price for it was reasonable. My friend had the spinach eggs benedict which she enjoyed.

We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, a spicy chicken ranch wrap, eggs Benedict with spinach, and the biggie breakfast. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Service was good and our server was really lovely. They had alternate milk options (oat or almond) for our coffee which was great! Overall we really enjoyed our brunch meal and will definitely be back.

A very tasty breakfast. We got the big breakfast which was good to share for two and a fruit yogurt. Good place for breakfast on the weekend especially on a Sunday with free parking and a nice walk to the beach afterward.

Best breakfast in town amazing cook/staff

Owners lied to my landlord and maliciously tried to get me in trouble. Behind their property is a black, 4-door Ford F-150 pick up truck (License Plate: AR 51246) that takes up spaces for parking customers. One of the owners (female) screamed at me to hurry up!, and to stop blocking her, knowing full well that I have a severe ambulation disability---how cruel!

Lived in Toronto my whole life and never came to downtown Oakville until about two years ago and haven t stopped coming back. Reason? Answer: sunny side grill! This breakfast restaurant just captured my tastebuds the second I had a Reuben sandwich. Great service great food and even better family that owns it!

The food was delicious and the server was incredibly sweet. I found this place online and decided to try it, the restaurant was full but we got a spot outside on their small patio. I ordered the bagel sandwich and my husband got waffles with eggs and bacon. Both meals came out hot and exactly as we ordered them, all for a reasonable price. Will definitely be making the drive from Milton to eat here again.

Food was delicious. I would normally have just bacon and eggs but went with breakfast poutine. Probably one of the best Ive ever had. Restaurant was super clean. Service was fast but not pushy to get out for next table. Super friendly. Only downside was coffee. First cup was Luke warm and a little bitter. Definitely bottom of pot. Next one was hit but a little too bitter for me. But thats coffee, great for 1 person too strong for the next. Great way to waste an hour. We will be back

It was the first time we visited Sunnyside Grill. The staff were very pleasant and greeted us with masks. We were taken to a table and I felt very confident about the safety of me and my friends while we ate at their establishment. The food was great and we had a good time catching up. This restaurant is my favourite breakfast spot to go to in Oakville. I always order the French toast, blueberry pancakes, crepes, grilled cheese or banquet burger. It hits the spot everytime. The experience is always a treat, very personal and a great ambiance. Mel and Julian are great owners and take care of all their customers like family. 2 thumbs up!

Drove by on a Saturday at noon, it looked like a cozy place...found metered parking a couple of blocks away and walked over. Got seated right away, not a huge place but nice...sitting near the door in the winter time can be a bit chilly. Good selection of breakfast and lunch foods, good prices, good portion. Fun to watch the chefs preparing food behind the glass counter.

I love breakfast so I may be bias, or Im not bias because I love breakfast so Im picky. The food here is always amazing, and the waiters are great! Though I will admit sometimes I have to sit and wait awhile before anyone approaches me to ask if Id like coffee.

Food was great, waitress (I think her name was Maryam) was awesome and was able to customize my meal as I request as I have some dietary restrictions. Just wish the chefs would wear gloves when handling food directly-but I guess thats personal preference. Will be back again!

The food here was delicious! We ordered a veggie omelette and french toast and the portions were more than enough.They paired nicely with a side order (fruit cup and country griddled potatoes), and of course a nice cup of coffee. We stumbled across Sunnyside Grill during our walk around downtown Oakville, and well definitely be back for more.

Came in for breakfast with my mother on Monday, August 19th. The young gentleman that served us was absolutely phenomenal and deserves a raise! Amazing service, huge portion sizes and the food was delicious.

Classic breakfast place - upgraded. I had Eggs Benedict and the Peameal Bacon was pretty thick cut, was only outdone by another friends peppercorn peameal looked really good. Exceptionally good prices for a non-greasy spoon spot. Good service, never had to ask for a coffee refill. Has been renovated or something, leather bench seating and laminate floors. Large super-clean accessible washroom on the main floor.

This is a classic dinner in the heart of Oakville. So nice to see amidst the bevy of chain restaurants and stores along lake shore. I had the eggs and corn beef and it was a nice twist, no hash just straight up corn beef. Prices are fair and the service was prompt and attentive.
