Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Price - Average Ordered Corn Bread Florentine, Kerr Breakfast with Smoked Salmon, and a drink. I've never had cornbread and eggs together before, but it's definitely worth it. Their Hollandaise sauce was also amazing and buttery. One thing is, the cornbread with eggs was very mild, so had to ask for their hot sauce to spice it up, and their hot sauce didn't fail. It was really good with the hot sauce. On a side note, they do not make anything with just egg whites. Overall, it's worth it when in town and also if you've never had cornbread and eggs before.
It’s my favourite place to go when my husband and I want a delicious and healthy brunch 😋 I love the vibes and atmosphere. They have lots of varieties, and we loved every dish we tried so far. They change the menu constantly for better and new options. My favourite dish is the cornbread Florentine with avo or salmon 😋, and I really love the new Turkish egg. Staff are always friendly and serve you with love.
What's there not to like. Great indoor & outdoor seating. Fast service and delicious food. The menu items are well picked and meticulously executed. The only remark is seating is a little tight. Keep it up guys
We ordered the following dishes: Turkish eggs, avocado toast, pancakes and drinks: latte, flat white, cappuccino. All the dishes were very delicious and their presentation was an art. The staff were very kind and fast in service. The place was clean and bright. The best table you can get is near the window. Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to have it. I also bought a very delicious Colombian coffee crop.
**Great Place to Have Brunch!** This café is an excellent spot for brunch! The food quality is top-notch, offering a wide variety of delicious options that make it hard to choose just one. Every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The staff is kind and welcoming, which adds to the cozy and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
Kerr Street Cafe is one of the best brunch restaurants I've been to. I don't like giving out perfect scores for reviews but it's well earned. The coffee, food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. I had to grab a coffee to go after we were finished eating. I would love to visit again in the future! I never normally order salmon for breakfast but I had a feeling it would be a nice treat and Kerr Street Cafe delivered. I couldn't give them a higher praise!
We visited this brunch spot in May, and I completely forgot to leave a deserved appreciation review for this absolutely amazing place. I wish we had something like this near where I live. While on our trip, we were searching for a quality brunch spot with good coffee, and we found this gem! It’s rare to find a combination of delicious food, aromatic coffee, and excellent service, from the host to everyone who works there. The blueberry pancakes were simply heavenly 🤤
I was in the area a decided to drop by for Saturday brunch. The restaurant was packed when I arrived, and I had to wait around 20 minutes before being seated. It should be noted that there's a 75 minute seating limit here. My partner and I ordered the Kerr Breakfast with Smoked Salmon, Pancakes, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Latte, and Matcha Latte, and loved every bite. The food were all beautifully presented, and delicious! The sticky toffee pudding stood out the most as melted in my mouth, and was probably the best I ever had. The restaurant itself has a lively ambiance, with modern decor, and is very family friendly. There's a small kids menu if you want to bring the little ones along. They also have a takeout counter if you just want to grab a coffee, or light bite to go. Both street parking and a paid parking lot are near by.
We went today to celebrate my mom s birthday. It is awesome spot, had the dirty chai latte and cornbread florentine with sausage patty. It was awesome and the patty was homemade. Dirty Chai Latte was smooth. Vegetarian options: My sister got the mushroom toast and loved it.
Cute brunch spot with lots of options. Ordered the avo toast and granola bowl to share and portions were good, food was yummy. Service was great and was not too long waiting for a table on a Saturday afternoon
Best coffee ever
Great place for breakfast and brunch, superb food but bit pricey. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they don t take reservations and we had to wait for almost an hour to get our table.
Food tasted delicious but portions could improve! I find that this cafe is always busy in the mornings regardless of it being a weekend or weekday. We rarely were checked in on but we understood that as it was very busy. Paid street parking is limited as well.
Amazing cafe! We already had lunch so we just went here for coffee/tea but we couldn t resist the Sticky Toffee Pudding from the dessert menu! So good! After seeing the orders of others, we know we have to come back for lunch! Great / fast service and nice ambiance too!
Extremely small portions for the price , I ordered 2 dishes just to fill my stomach for a breakfast. Food and service was good but please satisfy us for the money we pay
Great place, but a little chaotic on a Saturday morning. Finding a table can be problematic.
Delicious food, small ish portions though, but filling. If you have more than 4 expect to wait over an hour for a table, I d recommend going somewhere else honestly with 5 or more. But a great spot for couples
Food and service are incredible. One of my favourite brunch spots with incredible coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes
Vegetarian options: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes Food : 5/5 |
Long wait time to be seated. But the food is great and worth the wait. Id definitely return.
I had the best breakfast experience in the GTA! I even commuted from Richmond Hill just to enjoy the amazing taste and atmosphere.
A nice place with good coffee and breakfast in Oakville
Amazing pancake! Coffee is also very good Thanks for having such a nice place, I made a great start for my day
Best brunch ever topped with great service!:)
Solid 3 star experience. My food was good but the avocado had started to brown and the potatoes were dry. Latte was good as were the eggs and salad.
Ordered Trout crepe and Egg Florentine with Salmon. And the flavours were great. Pumpkin spiced latte was yumm too. Waiting time of 10 mins was not bad for Saturday Morning. Overall great experience
Amazing food! They were packed with diners but the service was quick and friendly.
Outstanding food and service
Cute little brunch spot !! The cappuccino wasn t my favourite, it was a little too strong for me, however the pancakes and the rosemary fries were delicious! Food : 5/5
So chaotic, we waited 30mins and just sat down, the waitress came over and was rushing us to order, the food was just ok, if I ate the whole thing Id be sick, we will not be returning.
I came here with 3 friends on a Saturday afternoon and we ordered 4 different dishes. The truffle fries were great, however, none of us liked our main dishes. The huevos rancheros, the weekender sandwich, and the mushroom toast were underwhelming. The service is great but the food was a big disappointment.
Nice trendy spot in oakville. Breakfast or brunch and was a great new find.
Had only the buttermilk ricotta pancakes - they were just outstanding! Service was superb too!
Lovely place with an excellent brunch! Recommend the pancakes, French toast, or eggs Florentine.
Small portions as most of the reviews mentioned. Fast service (rush you to order and rush u out) as some of the review mentioned. Intensive service. Take your order quick, clean your plate quick, offer your bill very quick. Find somewhere else if you like to relax and enjoy the brunch.
Super nice place. Food is elevated and delicious. Have been multiple times and each time it has been delicious.
We ordered the blueberry pancakes, they were absolutely delicious!! I would order them again. There is a bit of a wait on Saturday mornings but we only waited 10 minutes for 2 of us.
Love this cute little breakfast spot in Oakville! The food is delicious and the espresso-based drinks are amazing. The service has always been on-point when we re there. They are also so nice to our kids. They have a beautiful setting, and the outdoor seating area is a huge plus. Their food options are upscale with something for everyone in our picky family. We also love the premium beverage options. Great place.
One of the best breakfasts you will face Food is so delicious The service is super nice Food : 5/5
Love this cafe, great service and food. Wish we could make reservations as I would happily put down a deposit!
Good all-day breakfast restaurant. Good and fresh food. Lot of variety. I visited several times but couldnt get a table. Just able to have a lunch once in this busy restaurant.
Good service, good food, many cafe beverage options
Slow service on Monday, Sept 30. We were sitting outside. Breakfast quantity was not great, ordered side dish as well and wasn t enough. Tip amount on the bill was $6.75 for 15%, but was charged $7.xx when I inputted 15%. There is misalignment there
Guys this is a breakfast spot through and through. Wow! They genuinely have all of the essentials down. They make a mean pancake- even the egg I got on the side was delicious! My friend got the Corn Bread Florentine and he also throughly enjoyed it. Be prepared for a wait - especially on the weekends but I d deffo say it s worth it
Went here for brunch after hearing great things about it and didnt regret it! Would definitely go back another time!
If I am paying $120 breakfast for 2 people I would expect to have my own space for breakfast. Instead of splitting a table of 4 into 2 tables of 2, 3 inches from each other. First off had no space for our meal on the table. Second off I m there to have breakfast with my wife. Not there to have breakfast with my wife and the couple 3 inches away from me. I would expect this seating arrangement at a food court or cafeteria. Not $120 breakfast! Very disappointed and it shows how greed takes priority over customer experience.
Amazing food and beautiful plating! I recommend the pancakes. Coffee is always phenomenal. Luis makes an amazing mocha! Highly recommend to all- worth the wait. Food : 5/5 |
Very nice place for breakfast/ lunch .
Service was extremely terrible! The server asked us how we doing today after we sit, we responded politely and then she asked us again in a loud and rude tone. Food was fine, small portion and expensive. When we tried to ask for bill the lady ignored us two times and just walked pass by, and she finally talks to us when we waved at her again. Then we waited 10 minutes for the bill and realized the bill wasn t coming at all, so we had to ask another server for it. Overall experience was just terrible. Don t come at this place
Very pleasant, very popular lunch spot.
Loved it Great atmosphere and food Highly recommended Food : 5/5
There was a half hour wait at 9:15 on Saturday but it was well worth it. The breakfast sandwich and French toast were both great. Pretty good coffee too. The ingredients tasted fresh and top quality. The service was quick as well with a completely full restaurant Kid-friendliness: Booster seat available
Good food choices for Sunday brunch, however restaurant needs a better system for waiting guests. Wait time was 45 min for a party of 5 today and there was no possibility to join online waiting list nor get a text notification when the table is ready. I did not mind waiting on sunny day like today but definitely would not stay if the weather was cold/rainy. Coffee was really good Parking: Plenty of street parking
This is one of my favourite coffeeshops ever! The food and drink is top notch. The service is professional yet friendly. The whole experience makes you want to go back over and over!
Love this spot! Fresh food and drinks served daily!
It s a one time experience. We went on a weekend so there was a long wait. They don t take reservations and that s okay but their system is primitive. You re stuck in front of the cafe waiting for them to call your name, and discovering the nearby shops or going back to your car to wait there is not an option. We ordered The Kebb and Trout Crepe. Chicken and trout were dry and eggs weren t jammy at all (the yolks were medium well). Dishes were lacking flavor which is a bit odd with all the great ingredients on the menu. However, mocha was good and the latte art was beautiful.
The French toast was bomb but I have had better Turkish breakfast. The flavours were good and we enjoyed it the beautiful patio. But be ready to wait since there is always a line up!
Amazing food! My recommandation is French toast and COFFEE was incredible! I am a coffee guy as you can make out from my other reviews this place is must go for coffee people. Overall very cool vibe and a excellent place to for breakfast on the weekend.
The ricotta pancakes and mushroom toast were delicious
Had the pleasure of dining in on a Wednesday afternoon it was a little busy but the wait was worth it. Really enjoyed my brekky sandwich with sausage and our server was one of the friendliest people i ve ever met! Shoutout to Candice, she said it was her first week, hope they keep her around. :)
Delightful brunch menu with generous portions and delicious coffees. The only drag was the 4 songs on endless repeat playing on the outdoor speakers.
The Kerr Street Cafe is always busy for a reason! The food and service is top notch! The blueberry lemon pancakes are a show stopper! But my favourite is the eggs florentine - don t miss it!! The mushroom toast is another favourite, but you definitely want to add a poached egg - yumm! And if you aren t starving definitely stop in to try the coffee one of the best in town! Parking: Make sure you have the Honk app and parking is a breeze Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, the local community is a kid friendly area that welcomes all
I liked the service and the atmosphere
Ive been here twice now. The food has not disappointed, the staff are also friendly.
The food is excellent, and the service is amazing. Very noise and crowded. People who are waiting for the table are blocking the entry . Vegetarian options: Excellent options . Parking: The parking is not far away from the restaurant.
Worst coffee ever... limited menu and food was just ok.
Kids and I first time visiting - delicious food and fast friendly service We will return! Food
My friend and I placed our orders and by the 60min mark we realize it s been a long while since placing our orders. Two tables were seated, ordered and paid their bills at this point. We ask our waitress for an update as it s been a long time since placing our orders. She goes to check, at this point another waitress comes to compliment my outfit and we share our woes with her saying we ve been waiting for a hundred yrs for our food to make light of the situation. She goes what s your order, we tell her and she goes off to check and comes back within a few mins saying she placed our orders and how she s very sorry and that our meals will be taken care of. We thanked her and then our original waitress comes back saying she s very sorry and that she forgot to press send for the order and we said no problem. She also said the bill will be taken care of. We get the meals and after we are done, she asks do we want one bill or a separate bill. At this point I m confused bc we had two waitresses say the meal will be taken care of. So I m thinking ok maybe they will charge me for the cappuccino. I say one bill, I receive the bill and our meals were on the bill and just the cappuccino was taken off. I ask the waitress, what did you mean when you said the bill will be taken care of? She said oh we removed the cappuccino. One waitress literally said your meals will be taken care of and our waitress said I m so sorry your bill will be taken care of . I didn t have the energy to address it because if you don t have the common sense to follow through on your words, then what s really the point. Won t be returning again bc of this experience.
How this place is a 4.4 is beyond me. By way of Oakville/GTA suburbs it s super solid. Been a bunch always great.
We arrived around 11:45 am on a Sunday and it was packed. The wait for a table was around 35 mins. We ordered takeout instead and ate at a nearby park (Westwood Park). Food was good and the staff was helpful.
If you live near Oakville, you can go there. If you go there specifically from the north, I think the food itself is not as good as Chillax cafe or Next door.
Loved this cute brunch spot in Oakville! The Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and the highlight was the Wildflower Ricotta Pancakes that were perfect for a summer brunch!
Hidden gem in Oakville. It was my first time and everything was 10/10.
We stumbled upon the place completely by accident and decided to give a try as a place for brunch. We were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and the servise was good as well. Dietary restrictions: Has alternative milk options (almond, coconut for no charge) and oat milk for $0.50
Didn t know this place til I googled breakfast place and saw this came up. We went and got sat under 20 mins. We came on a Sunday at 1pm- their kitchen closes at 3 pm. Highly recommend if you want a good insta food pic that s actually good and appetizing! I just wish they still had the pulled pork breakfast or the steak sourdough bread - would love to have that. Love the vibe here and would def. come back! I ordered the matcha latte! And the french toast love em not too sweet
I drive 30 min to go there but believe me it s worth it. We always enjoy food there , pleasant n friendly staff, good service.
My family catered this cafes services. The food was great, super tasty, and it made the entire crowd so happy. The staff were all incredibly gracious, super friendly, and fun to converse with! I could not recommend these people enough, for both their food and people!
Good food at Kerr Street Cafe. Lovely patio and blessed with great weather, perfect lunch spot in Oakville. Food
Wildflower Ricotta Panckes were absolutely delicious, highly recommend ordering them. Cappuccino was perfect. Corn bread is a must try add on. Very unique menu. Great bright positive atmosphere. Friendly welcoming service. Will be returning.
This is my new go-to brunch spot! The food was amazing, and the portions were just right. Our server was also very friendly and gave us good recommendations. I will definitely be back every week for Sunday brunch.
Nice cafe with tasty coffee and delicious food! Loved the environment here as well, decor was lovely. It is on the expensive side of things so beware of that ahead of time.
I have to say that we arrived early and did not wait for a table but then we noticed that there was a line to have breakfast. Thats when we noticed its a popular place. The service is excellent, the food has details that were a little disappointing. My husband ordered Turkish Eggs with bread so hard that it would break a tooth. I ordered some Pancakes, no complaints about them, but our coffees were bad. 2 x COOFEE $7.00 Pancakes $21.00 Turkish Eggs $24.00 Total= 58.76
Best brunch spot in Oakville, maybe even the GTA. Fast and friendly service and amazing food!
Unique flavour and dishes!
Lovely breakfast, very well presented with healthy choices. Parking: Out front free til 9am. Perfect for early breakfast. Food : 5/5 |
The Kerr st breakfast is the best!
Highly recommended
The food was mediocre. The hot chocolate we ordered was lukewarm and lacked a strong chocolate taste. Additionally, the milk s consistency was too thin. When we requested an improvement, the waitress condescendingly explained how their hot chocolate was unique, making us feel inexperienced. She was dismissive of our feedback and argumentative. Overall, a disappointing experience with both the beverage and the service (of the lady who served hot chocolate to us).
Very good food and a really good atmosphere.
Food is so delicious, whenever I go quality is the same. But I felt sorry about weitress who rolled her eyes when we want extra plate and she throw the plate on the table. It was rude.
2nd time dining at the cafe, good food and service.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Sat within 3 mins, greeted in 2. Server Sydney was awesome and a breath of fresh air. Got our food within 10 mins of ordering on a busy Saturday. Turkish eggs were amazing. Huevos were just as good. Best brunch in Oakville hands down. Thank you so much we ll be back
We live in the area and come to this place often. Excellent food! Here are some pics of what we enjoy
Really good brunch spot! Pancakes and French toast are great. So is the Corn bread Florentine
I got the pancake special and it was amazing!
Delightful Brunch Experience at Kerr Street Café We first visited Kerr St. Café on Mother s Day and were so impressed that we returned for Father s Day. Despite not taking reservations, the wait is definitely worth it. The freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious, and the cappuccino is perfect. We tried the trout crepe and the huevos rancheros, both of which were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, and the café s pleasant decor added to the overall bustling yet cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be returning for breakfast or brunch, as the food is consistently outstanding.
Usually long lines over weekend, little hyped - mediocre food and service.
Worth the wait for a table. Once seated service is fast and friendly. Hands down the best baristas in Oakville - excellent ricotta pancakes. See you next weekend! Parking: Park in lot just off the main road.
Excellent food and service
The staff is amazing and accommodating. The food is okay okay, bland and the variety is not great. Even the portion size is just okay for the price.
Pros: pancakes were AMAZING. Honestly, better than other breakfast places in downtown Toronto. Would absolutely come back just for the pancakes! The cornbread florentine was also delicious and would recommend! Cons: it was really hot for indoor seating shrimp tacos were lacking flavour/sauce and had very minimal pico de gallo honestly overpriced for what you get $7 for a small lemonade is a bit steep We will definitely come back to try other dishes and get the pancakes again! Service was fine, they were friendly, no complaints!
Update: The restaurants response to this review reflects their attitude towards criticism. The food was just OK. The hot chocolate we ordered was barely warm and not very chocolatey. When we asked if they could improve it, the waitress lectured us on how their hot chocolate was special! She was a bit rude and acted as if we were having hot chocolate for the very time. Unbelievable! Overall the food was totally overpriced and tasted just average.
Sub par and overpriced food, decent atmosphere. We ordered the avocado toast, which should NOT be hard to mess up, but they found a way to over-complicate it. With too many additions (like pomegranate and pesto), it took away from the taste of the avocado or the egg. The egg was supposed to be soft poached but came out hard poached. Adding salmon was an extra $7 on top of the overpriced $21 for the avo toast. Instead of a simple eggs Benedict, they do a cornbread (dry) version, where the hollandaise sauce was below a basic standard that you may get from Sunset Grill. The atmosphere was the only saving grace, with great outdoor seating on a nice street. Long story short, they tried to be too fancy with the food choices, and completely missed the mark.
Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food!
hands down my favorite brunch place in the gta! the food is amazing and the service is always so inviting it makes you want to come back. definitely worth the wait on weekends. Vegetarian options: all desserts are vegetarian and several menu items either are vegetarian or have modifications to make them vegan/vegetarian Dietary restrictions: vegan, gluten free & nut free options available Kid-friendliness: very kid friendly with a whole kids menu as well as booster chairs if needed Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs and accessible washroom is available, just somewhat tight seating
The food presentation is artistic, the cappuccinos are delicious. I will definitely return.
This cafe has been our local go to for brunch for the last 12 yrs in Oakville and it never disappoints. Clement and the staff are amazing the food is consistent and delicious, we ve tried everything on the menu and there all really good. (Wouldn t mind new options lol)! Yes it s always busy and crowded but that s only because it s so good and it s promoted everywhere on social media by people who visit Oakville.
The host and manager are extremely rude! This place has no system for taking a waiting list. I was ignored as I waited by sign only to realize the host had put 2 other people who came after me on the waitlist. After speaking up about this I was told I was over reacting and I should have been more assertive with approaching the host. While there was no tag indicating who the host was. After speaking to the manager, I was meet with very condescending feedback and made to feel gaslight about my concerns.
Their mushroom toast is must try!!!!! Just perfect! This was my first time here but I will definitely be back! Food
My boyfriend and I decided to check out this Cafe after I saw great reviews online about the food and atmosphere. Went this morning for breakfast. The inside of the cafe was very beautiful and bright and welcoming. However, the service we received during our time here was the absolute opposite of that. I got a cappuccino and the rancheros breakfast. My boyfriend got an espresso, fresh orange juice, and the morty breakfast sandwich with the potatoes on the side. The espresso was one of the worst espressos we ve ever had which was really unfortunate. It was extremely watery and bitter to the point in which he couldn t even drink it (added sugar afterwards and still that couldn t help it). My boyfriend s breakfast sandwich was very good. The potatoes were alright as the texture was good but kind of bland. My breakfast was alright. It really lacked flavour and good textures which was unfortunate. I had to season my plate with more salt and pepper as well as the potatoes. The server we had was very unpleasant and rude. Barely checked on us throughout our time, and we felt rushed through our visit. We waited a long while after we finished our meal for our server to come back. After paying, she just took the machine and as she started to walk away (without staying or looking at us) said have a good day . That was really rude and disrespectful. Throughout our stay, our waitress would respond back to us saying huh, what with a rude tone in her voice. We noticed other tables with the same waitress getting better and faster service than us. Overall, was not impressed with the customer service we received. It s difficult to go out to eat due to rising costs, and therefore make it a special occasion to go out. The breakfast was on the pricier end which is more than fine if the customer service and the entirety of the meal add up to it. Excellent customer service is very important to me, and it should be important to all employees. Will not be returning, first and last time. Update: I was given an email to email back regarding my experience. I still have not heard back, emailed 4 days ago. I will update when/if I hear back and any follow up has happened. UPDATE: I finally received an email from the manager or Brad . A week and a half later. All that he sent was Hello Alexandra, What did you want to discuss further? I m very surprised and shocked by this email. After my negative experience I was told by Brad to email him and he would help if I ever wanted to return to the cafe. However from this email sent much later, it is very clear that the management at this cafe do not put their customers first (nor want to improve on negative customer service). Another email sent if I wanted to give him a call to discuss this further. Overall, nothing further to discuss. I definitely will be telling my friends and family not to come to this cafe as I am just surprised at how management deals with negative customer reviews. This is just my personal experience.
I loved this place! The food and staff were amazing. As soon as I walked into the café, it immediately gave off Aussie vibes. When I looked at the menu, I was 100% sure that this café had a strong connection to Melbourne- Australia. As an Australian, it was fantastic to find this gem in Toronto, reminding me of home. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Canada.
Fantastic breakfast place. Really take their dishes to the next level. A must try in Oakville
Great brunch place. One of the best Oakville, in fact in GTA
Cute short menu. Highly recommend the orange juice. Brunch is always fun here. They dont do reservations, so gotta wait in line and they try to turn tables pretty quick. Vegetarian options: A couple vegetarian options.
I cannot tell you how disappointing this place is and the prices are outrageous and the place is in the middle of no where... I mean $16 for a runny egg mcmuffin? Fresh sqeezed orange juice with a half a cup of ice cubes? really? service so slow... way over the limit of tables with respect to health regulations...I mean I was eating with a family of SIX beside me...we were literally touching ourselves They make McDonalds look good.....why is this country full of bad restaurants.. .is it a Canadian tradition?
To dull inside , THe people are a bit snobbish and pushy It is way overprices .The quality of the food is ok , The tea is very bland and the wait time is ridiculous . Food
Great food, nice service. It was busy but our server was very attentive. We waited maybe 20 min for brunch on Sunday
Went for brunch on a Sunday. There was a 30 minute wait and the restaurant was packed. We got the Matcha lattes, huevos rancheros, and pancakes. The latte and huevos rancheros were okay but the pancakes were heavenly. I would go back and wait in line just for the pancakes! The service was quick and friendly and portions were great. There s a reason why it was so busy.
It s very busy place even Monday. This place don t have very good service, foods were ok, They expect customers leave within 75mins. We just finished food, the waitress already brought bill over, we didn t event ask.
I was lucky, didn t wait too long to get a table, food was good and service was good but nothing special, pancakes is the best , chicken waffles is little bit burnt.
We stopped in here for a quick breakfast while in Oakville for a car service recall. We didn t plan our visit here, just saw the nice pictures on Google, so we ventured over. The service and food was amazing. The cornbread florentine and the breakfast sandwich were very, very good. The staff very friendly. I knew we were in for a treat when the orange juice appeared to be freshly squeezed. I haven t had that since I was a kid. We will definitely be coming back here.
Nice & cozy
Great food, good staff, parking wasnt too hard to find in the morning either
Went on a Saturday afternoon, was quite busy and waited for about half an hour. There is street parking nearby. Service was excellent and food was delicious! I got the florentine with smoked salmon on cornbread there is nothing better than cornbread studded with kernels of sweet corn.
Really cute cafe in the heart of the city. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The prices are reasonable and the portions are good. They also have a variety of desserts to choose from. Their hibiscus tea is a definite must try. Their homemade habanero pineapple sauce was extraordinary. Definitely a must try cafe if you are in the area!
The cappuccinos here are everything!!!! So creamy and delicious. Breakfast and brunch are also delicious
I have to go on a Sunday morning and of course there are a lot of people, I recommend calling to reserve, the food is very delicious and has a special touch in that I found the service splendid and very friendly at all times. In particular, this date dessert is subtle and not cloying, I highly recommend it
If youre on the hunt for a top-notch brunch spot in Oakville, Kerr Street Café is where its at. Their eggs are seriously fresh, with yolks so bright they practically shine. Its the real deal for a hearty brunch that hits the spot. Plus, we always enjoy the latte art it adds that extra touch of charm!
A bustling, lively cafe with good coffee and friendly staff.
Worst hamburger and fries: oil so dirty!! Burger no flavor Food
A great breakfast place. Looking forward to a more variety menu
So great got the Kerr St. breakfast plus the cornbread Florentine - amazing potatoes!! And the pancakes are
Everything on the menu is simply superb, must try. Special recommendation - Corn bread egg Benedict !! Food : 5/5
Had a great experience here! Amazing food and drinks, service was great, such a lovely atmosphere. Loved the huevos rancheros, and the pancakes were another hit at our table. Really good vegan and gluten free options. Will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Some vegan dishes available, easy modifications can be made to other dishes. Dietary restrictions: Options for gluten free, dairy free, etc. Server was accommodating to dietary restrictions. Alternative milk options, some at no charge!
This is amazing place to bring any one. Very good food. Amazing food
The food and coffee were fantastic, especially the pancakes. However, I wasnt keen on the matcha. The ingredients were all high quality, but the wait was really long. We ended up getting takeout instead of waiting over an hour to be seated, and went to a nearby park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Only disappointment they don t take reservations
Best potatoes Ive ever had. I realize that is an unexpected thing to call out but they were the highlight of the Kerr St Breakfast plate for me. Coffee is great, food is high quality. I see why this place is so popular. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options
We were six of us. Went for Mothers Day brunch. The place was crowded and had to wait for well over an hour. The food was delicious. Fresh Orange juice was my fav. Being vegetarian, I had Vegan Brekky Sandwich, it was yum. Loved the taste of herbs. I will definitely come back.
Hands down one of my favourite brunch spots in Oakville. I tried this spot a few weeks ago and I have been thinking about what I ate since. I had the breakfast sandwich with smoked salmon and it is incredible. The ingredients were all fresh. I was at first skeptical of the salmon but it ended up tasting great. This is a wonderful spot in Oakville.
This is the worst food I have ever tasted...
Vibrant cafe with nice outdoor seating during the warmer seasons. They make a mean cuppa joe and the Eggs Benedict is pretty good, served with a silky hollandaise and perfectly smoked salmon. Unfortunately, the ratio of the cheddar cornbread to the eggs and sauce is off and youre left with extra cornbread. The good news is that they top up your coffee to wash it all down!
There was a 25 min wait on a Sunday for brunch, but it was well worth it. This is the first time here. We ordered the pancakes with a side of sausage and the brekky plate. Everything was flavourful, presented professionally, and will be back again.
This place is a little gem in Oakville. The brunch menu is fresh, delicious, and simply awesome. The atmosphere is great. You just love being there. The staff are awesome. The coffee, oh the coffee, is out of this world!
I love this place The food was amazing. The service is so fast even when the wait list is so long. The food arrived really fast and the drinks are amazing with very cute designs All staff were really friendly
We came here for breakfast on a weekday and to our surprise, most of the tables were full at 10am. But the service was still very fast. The vibe is very cozy, suitable for friends and family meetups or even working during the day. There s also street parking available in front of the café. We ordered Mocha and Matcha Latte with almond milk. They tasted good and were served with barista s artwork. For breakfast, we ordered Ricotta Pancakes and Huevos Rancheros. Pancakes tasted amazing. Just wishing they had more ham, lol. Huevos Rancheros was perfectly seasoned and served with soft fried eggs; super delicious and filling.
Everything about this café is wonderful
Very stylish and delicious place. Had some gluten free options which was required. Was rather busy, we had to wait to be seated, but it was worth it. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Had brunch with our team. Very popular cafe located in The Kerr Street Village of Oakville. The restaurant was busy, packed actually. So given how busy it was, I take that into consideration when the service is a bit off. The food and presentation was excellent! I had the huevos rancheros and it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their brunch and we had a great time. Again, the restaurant was packed solid so the service was a little slow and there was some confusion with our orders. The restaurant was very loud, but it was brunch so I get it. I hope to go back on a quieter day. Thank you!
Great food! Awesome brunch place! A must visit.
I went to Kerr St cafe with a friend on a busy good Friday and the service was phenomenal! We did have to wait because it was busy, but usually with restaurants the quality of the food served suffers a little in order to increase efficiency to get guests served. Not with Kerr St!! The food tasted delicious, the presentation was stunning and our server was very efficient and checked up frequently. The only reason it s not a perfect 5 star is because I wish the portions were bigger. It s reasonably priced but you definitely need to order more than just one item off the brunch menu to feel satiated.
This place is great. Cozy/modern/semi-upscale atmosphere. Great food and efficient friendly service. Would be one of my go-to brunch spots if I lived here.
Quintessential brunch spot in Oakville with mouthwatering food and heart-warming service.
Food was great! Their fries were amazing. Kids loved it. My favourite was mushroom grilled sandwich! Staffs were friendly and accomodated for kids. Also suggested right portion of menu for the group.
Went here around 10:30 AM on a Saturday and we only waited for about 15-20 minutes to get seated. The food was delicious and service was very prompt. I ordered the Cornbread Florentine and loved the combination of the Hollandaise sauce, spinach and homemade sausage. Will definitely be back.
Their food is delicious, atmosphere of the place was nice and aesthetic. The servers are nice!
Just simply put...its a must visit! BEST BRUNCH. Excellent atmosphere and its lovely inside.
Nice little place for brunch. The place gets pretty, so if you can wait 10-20mins before being seated it is worth the wait. Coffee is also very good.
This was my second time here with my son again. We had brunch on a Sunday. There was a wait, of course, because everyone loves the atmosphere and food here. The wait wasnt long at all, and the hostess was so nice and attentive. So the last time.my son ordered the kids grilled cheese w a side of bacon and his hot chocolate that comes w a single huge marshmallow. He absolutely loves the hot chocolate. He wasnt too keen on the grilled cheese. They use a thicker cut bread, which isnt the best option for kids because the crust was thick n crunchy. They used a similar thick crust egg bread type for the french toast that he got this time. Again, i dont think its the best choice for bread, not even I wanted to eat it after tasting it. The bread is so thick, so the egg mixture didnt soak into it. Which made the inside kind of bland. It came w a side of fruit, which was great for kids. I order the same thing every time. Cornbread w the smoked salmon, which can never go wrong w I eat every bite. Corn bread is the perfect amount of sweet and savory, and the greens w the salmon is jus chefs kiss. Will definitely be back to try their pancakes next time!
Was excited to come here but the hype didnt live up for us. The earl grey latte had no flavor. The rest of the dishes were just ok. Not exactly a negative, but pancakes were very dense and not the fluffy kind.
Great food and good service. The seating is a bit tight. There is paid and free street parking within a couple of minutes. I loved their hot sauce but was disappointed when I saw an extra charge on the bill. I recommend Kerr Street Cafe.
I came a few times already and the service and food never fails. This last time I came was so wonderful, I had 2 servers come and check up on me and my mom and that day I tried a meal that was new to me and I wasn t the biggest fan of the corn bread but the servers were so so nice and wonderful about it and changed it up for me. Really great place and I keep having great experiences when I come! Highly recommend
Everything is delicious and the coffee drinks are great
A bit busy, but the food was great!
It was awesome. Enjoyed every bite.
Was shopping in the neighborhood and thought this place looked good. So glad we stopped in. It was a little bit of wait but once we got a table the service was quick. We had a delicious dish with eggs and cornbread, that I cant recall the name of and the blueberry pancakes. It was all delicious. I was eyeing the other dishes the servers were bringing out and I am going to get the french toast next time. Vegetarian options: Some veggie menu options. Dietary restrictions: Menu items for some dietary restrictions. Parking: I was parked nearby on the street, but I think there are also some lots nearby. The street parking was easy to get and it was a Saturday afternoon. Kid-friendliness: They had kid items on the menu.
- Nice Restaurant/Decor - Good Quality Food - A bit pricey/upscale - crowded - noisy - trendy Rating: 4.2/5.0
Deeeelicious!! Definitely would recommend and come back. We went in around noon on Saturday and the place was very busy but the gentleman organizing seating did a fantastic job at seating us quickly. Our server was pleasant and service was incredibly fast especially for how busy they were. Coffee was really good as well.
Everything about the dish was made with absolute perfection. The egg sunny side up was perfectly cooked and was balanced with all the other ingredients that made the simple weekend sandwich a delight. I recommend the Sencha Kyoto loose tea if you are into teas, was perfectly flavoured and fresh. Thank you.
This place is an absolute delight! The food esp their French toast is out of the this world and the presentation it TOP. The chefs and the team definitely know what they re doing. They don t take reservations but the wait is worth all the great food.
(Jan 2024) After your initial wait of around 30 mins, it was so worth it ! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming! The chicken parm sandwiches were simply AMAZING !
We drive in from Toronto to have breakfast here on the weekend! Cornbread benny is 100/10. I always get their hot sauce with it and my goodness it s good. Fingerling potatoes are perfectly crispy on the outside and buttery inside. Pancakes are hearty. I don t usually like lemon curd but theirs with the combo of blueberry and mascarpone is divine. Coffee!!!! It s rich, bold, smooth. Not a cheap cup at all but worth the splurge. After our bellies are full I make sure to grab a few muffins and raid their freezer for prepared meals. I don t think I ever ate something here and it was just okay. Parking is available on the street or back of the building. It can be tight but there s always a spot somewhere. Worst case we park down the street and take a nice stroll down Kerr. The space inside is bright, not too much noise, cozy. Grateful to Kerr Street Cafe for helping to kick start our Sundays. Vegetarian options: They have a tempting mushroom toast that I have my eye on. They have a few vegan options that never disappoint Kid-friendliness: Staff are always sweet with our little one. My kid always gets their pancake.
We came here on a Saturday morning and there was a 20-40 mins wait for 2 person table so would recommend getting there early or going on a weekday. Food and smoothies were delicious, cannot go wrong with any of the options. Seating limit was 75 mins.
I love this place.
Great vibes and great selection for breakfast and lunch.
Food tasted nice but portion size is too small. The French toast was even smaller than the chocolate flan. Food
My favourite brunch spot in Oakville. The quality & the pricing of the food is amazing. Although there is always a line, its well worth the wait!
This place is always busy but its also quite worth the wait. It can feel a bit tight but the food is really delicious, and is more adventurous that your standard breakfast cafe. I like the pancakes in particular, and the potatoes are to die for.
The BEST pancake I have had in my entire life!!! Seriously what was that!!!
It was one of my better breakfast experiences while in Oakville. Wonderful staff, charming restaurant. Simple yet incredibly sophisticated food with quality ingredients, detailed plating approach. By far, the best pancakes I have had. Wonderful fluffy cakes, served with blueberry compote, garnished with lemon curd bee pollen and mascarpone cream. Literally out of this world approach at pancakes I have ever seen, and I have seen lots of pancake dishes, lol... kudos to the chef and everyone in the kitchen. Yes, we put in a second order, and consistency in quality and plating was the same as the first one. Great job to the people behind the scenes. Thank you for the experience and having us in your restaurant.
I love this beautiful place
The best breakfast Cafe Ive ever been to! For a weekday the atmosphere was live, it was packed, that was the first good sign. Incredibly fast service. And both the presentation and quality of the food was exceptional! I would travel far to dine again here and they didnt pay me to say this! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options clearly marked on the menu! Dietary restrictions: My date was gluten free and they accommodated nicely!
Our regular favourite!
Delicious, but the seat by the window is a bit crowded
Nice place for breakfast of brunch, small menu with delicious options, the food quality and flavours were perfect, portions are a bit on the smaller side and it is a bit pricey, but overwll good experience. The service was rushed and feels like they want you to leave quickly, they could improve the client service
Always worth the wait. Staff is friendly and courteous. The corn bread Florentine is my favourite.
This place never disappoints! Such great food and the staff are always friendly. If you are going on Saturday or Sunday expect to wait!
Cute little restaurant.. service was nice and the food came out at a good time. I was not a fan of the potatoes, they tasted really bland. I think some seasoning would have done them well, they also appeared to be a little undercooked. As for the salad, would be nice if it came in its own little bowl on the plate. The bread didn t have any butter and big kicker is that they charge for hot sauce. I love hot sauce and I ve been to plenty of restaurants and this is probably one of the first places I ve been to that charge for hot sauce. They probably charge for butter too. I don t think I d go out of my way to return.
I have been in this place regularly in the last 3 years and still nothing to complain.
We absolutely love this place and highly recommend when youre in Oakville. Every dish is put together with care, thought, and good flavour combinations. Their take home fridge and freezer is a nice touch for those wanting gourmet meals that they can easily warm up at home.
