I historically love Jimmy (it was my university go-to) but over the years, I’ve felt that most locations have lost some of their magic. HOWEVER, this particular location was like a blast from the past in the best way possible. The food court is nostalgic and the food is delicious. Everything was clean, fresh, and the service was excellent.
I have been to few Jimmy the Greek restaurant, but I think this time has been the most dissatisfied experience. Especially paying over fifteen dollars for food that I didn't even got full container worth of it. Am I missing something? Is the restaurant cutting down the quantity? If so, I will definitely rethink about coming back.
Not sure why there are so many petty reviews out here. I’m vegan and allergic to lots of things, yet I’m able to have a meal here without problem. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable giving the portions. This is a franchise, so I understand why they need to charge for a paper bag -they follow head office. Been my favourite and only store (outside of petsmart) that gives me a reason to visit Oakville place!
I have been to this place twice, one time during the pandemic we bought chicken souvlaki and took outside eating in the tent. set up outside the mall and yesterday we bought pork souvlaki. They are all good and fresh taste. Only thing is the portion is getting smaller for sure.
I have been a customer of Jimmy The Greek for the past five years. I find the food very good, but there is something that catches my attention. 6 months ago They started charging for bags as part of a planet protection campaign, which I think is perfect. What I find absurd is that they continued giving out plastic bags and on top of that, they charged 10 cents per plastic bag. In other words, they are still harming the planet, but now you have to pay because they didn't offer the option of paper bags. Now they are giving paper bags, but they are still charging for them. In other words, now you have to pay for a paper bag to advertise for them. Wow, what a business, right? Truly, from that point on, I have not gone to Jimmy The Greek anymore and I don't plan to go until they change this policy which I find abusive towards the consumer, where you have to pay for a plastic bag to keep harming the planet or a paper bag with their logo to advertise for them. Very bad on the part of the management of Jimmy The Creek at Oakville Place.
Hi they should really change there name to Jimmy the snake. If u haven't tryed this place don't look at the 5 star reviews. I been here after work. Tierd & hungry. I bought chicken. Thinking it was fresh Nooooooooooo Not at all. It took him 5 mins to get my order. I'm sure it's probably like 15 mins for a fresh one. The chicken was dry, dissapointed of course surprised no. Next time in that food court I'll go to A&W.
Jimmy the Greek used to be my favor, Their rice was very good and taste. Today, rice in my meal is obviously a different story. I can tell it is not because of cooking, but a different type of rice. The restaurant is using a cheaper rice to serve. It is so soft and stick, nothing good. It is so bad, I probably will not come back.
Update: Lack of consistency in taste. Tried the first time --> it was great but tried again months later --> not so good. Tried their Chicken Souvlaki pita wrap and liked it a lot! 🫓 Coming from Delhi, I was craving for some Tikka rolls (street side), so thought of giving it a try and it did not disappoint. The chicken was flavourful and the pita bread was soft and good too.

Not sure what they re doing here but it s consistently better than the other Jimmy the Greeks I ve been to. Roasted chicken leg is my go to and it s excellent here.

After spending more than $30 to $40 on two meals, we asked for one plastic bag to carry one container of leftover food in. The older woman behind the counter said the bag would be 10 cents. I didnt have the change and I had already paid for my meal. She refused to give me a bag. She must be very, very concerned about the environment. Yes, its about the environment. Lol.
Would highly recommend this establishment. Some of the most delicious, fresh food for an affordable price. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and greet you kindly. I always look forward to getting Jimmy the Greek! Chicken souvlaki is a must!
Ive been going to Oakville place mall for the last 15 years. Jimmy the Greek is the only good thing in that food court. Parking: Mall parking.. best to park on the shoppers side they have a escalator that will take you right upstairs to the food court. Kid-friendliness: Its a food court.. Wheelchair accessibility: Jimmy the greek is located upstairs in the food court. You can take the elevator to get upstairs.
I think it was the owner who was courteous enough to tell me what had dairy or not when I mentioned that I was avoiding dairy. Food tasted fine. Atmosphere is as expected since its a mall food court.
I always have the chicken souvlaki dinner and it never disappoints!! Price is reasonable with good portions

I normally enjoy Jimmy s but today the pork was way too dry. The salad was good but overall I did expect a little more

Oakville Place, I have been a long time customer...not anymore. Always ordered a large salad with chicken and pita on side with all dressing on top including the Tzatziki, BUT the Tzatziki is always put on the side. Yesterday I asked to have the Tzatziki on top as the side option is very hard and extremely messy to scoop out. The owner refused, when I asked why they said to contact head office?!? They clearly have TWO Tzatziki brands they use, one in a squeeze bottle that is more liquid and one pre packed. The pre packed is not the same taste or texture. The salad was skimpy to start with and the chicken was not a full skewer add this Tzatziki issue and I was insulted. I decided to take my business to a competitor. Glad I did.

The worst jimmy the Greek I ve been too I was trying to buy my son a chicken souvlaki meal and asked the lady to put the salad on the side as I always do, my son won t eat it if he sees even one lettuce leaf touch his food. The lady begins to argue with me tell me I can t get it on the side and if I do I ll be charge for the meal plus the salad which would ve made a $13 meal 22 which is ridiculous she kept saying shes been there for 20+ years. I didn t understand what that had to do with me simply asking for the salad how I needed but I wasn t in the mood to argue especially not in front my son I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone please take your money else where. I wasn t able to make it to another jimmy to get my son food so I had to go to a different establishment.
Had to change my review. Quality went down a lot & found a bug (attached photo) in today s meal. My wife vomited multiple times after eating the food
We purchased our lunches on a Friday at noon and all of our meat was dry and extremely overcooked. We could only wonder how many days old it was, and how many times this meat was reheated. Extremely disappointing.
Got the pork souvlaki with rice, potatoes and a Greek salad. Amazing. The hot sauce was a perfect addition.

Temporarily closed due to the lockdown Good chicken souvlaki sandwich , they were fussing about small stuff like not putting specific items on salad and I need to pay extra. It doesnt make any sense because I can choose whatever I want in my sandwich , subway do that, all restaurants do that for no extra cost. But it was good experience, freshly barbecued chucked and clean chefs, equals no bacteria and healthy food . very good

I live on 20-2472 post road Oakville L6H0K1 we order food and never received I s the service you give to customer try to call you several time but didnt get any response.

One of the best and delicious Mediterranean food that Ive ever tasted!!! Super Clean! Super Healthy! We ordered Roast Lamb($14.49) and Grilled Lamb Chops($14.49) , which were both incredibly delicious.
Expensive with less quantity of food. The salad was feeling fresh and chicken was hard. They can increase food portion quantity and quality of food.

I really wanted to like this place since I live right by the place and I love Greek food. I was there soon after they opened for lunch so there is no excuse for dry chicken unless it was a day (or more) old. I ordered a chicken souvlaki dinner - both chicken and potatoes were extremely dry - tasted and looked old. Salad was fine, and I didnt mind the rice. Will give it one more try since it has some good reviews from other people.

Picked up 7 orders of gyro dinners today, all the gyros were extremely dry and salty. Taste like they been sitting out all day.

Frequently visited this location with the family but due todays disappointing customer service will be avoiding it. I opted to pay half in small coins counted/bundled in $1 total $18 coins and about the same amount on Visa. THE cashier REJECTED it explaining she has no time to count. Yes it is inconvenient maybe but as the customer I have options to chose and in particular if Im frequently visiting place in last 10 years I deserve to be a trusted customer if she is busy. The Thai restaurant across didnt have the issue with my payment option so theyll get 5 * today.

I am giving it a three star because, i bought lunch there, brought it all the way back to work, and realized they dont use taziki sauce..i am very dissappointed. Never again. Friendly staff though.
Pretty decent food
The positive is great food, my favourite place in the mall to grab lunch and the majority of the staff except one are excellent in customer service. That brings me to the negative. I always eat at Jimmy the Greek and have never been treated with such disrespect. The one individual involved is a young Asian man with glasses. I asked the nice, polite young woman for an extra scoop of salad dressing and the man gave his co-worker a visibly dirty look that I could see ,so I assume others could as well. Then he skimped out on the potatoes and rice which are the cheapest part of the meal to purchase from sellers. I ve spent well over $40 this week alone and am a regular paying customer. Jimmy the Greek is always my first choice for lunch. It is a $12 meal I expect $12 portions, especially if I eat there frequently.

Well I dont shop at Oakville Place much but when I saw Jimmy the Greek in the food court I was happy! I use to go to the Burlington location! I have the Chicken solvacki dinner! Its a must try!
