2345 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, ON L6H 6N9, Canada
Casual Indian establishment dishing out vegetarian-only dishes & housemade desserts.
I have been trying their food often and their Curries are way too spicy. Plus the team although is amicable but very slow. Just a feedback please improve your service and also the curry need to be mild. Its way too spicy and not eatable. 2 times was not able to eat. Food is a blessing please make it so that one can eat it.
I got a veg thali with shahi paneer (tasted more like ghee with the feeling of matar paneer - did not look or taste “shahi” aka creamy), the dal makhani and kadhi were alright but everything just tasted like desi ghee rather than the flavor of dishes themselves. If you’re not a fan of ghee - would not recommend, otherwise the “curries” lacked flavor. Garlic Naan was cooked perfectly though, i would recommend that!
Warm greeting and welcome. Great staff with an excellent service and sweet smile. I live 1 hour drive from them but whenever I am in that area I always buy warm food for $50. I am only giving them 5-star rate but if I could I would give them 10 stars. Your food is delicious and the place is very clean. God Bless You All!
Very traditional basic Indian restaurant. We loved the Aloo puri as well as the Chole bhatura. Don’t expect anything boujee. Moderate price, moderate place.
Visited there for multiple times during summer vacation in Oakville, ON Canada. 90% of our visits were delightful. Food was so good and felt as homemade! We loved 2 veg combo that comes with 2 sides to choose from options available for the day (10+) along with choice of bread (poori, naan, thanthoori roti) or rice. This was best and breads were made fresh and served hot 👌❤️. You get some salad and curd along with sides. The reason I want to give 3 or 4 star rating is that one of the visits, the salad served was spoiled one - it tasted rotten! But the rest of the food on that day was fresh! My recommendation is to go with 2 veg meals option than 1 veg meal as it’s just a dollar difference. We tried many sides so far and all tasted yummy 😋. I recommend this place with a cation. We never stopped going there as food was amazing!
The vegetarian eatery we recently ventured into surpassed all our anticipations. Our taste buds were treated to an array of delightful dishes, ranging from aloo paratha to mooli paratha to samosas all of which were truly outstanding. Despite the outstanding food quality and inviting ambiance, the restaurant curiously lacked the bustling crowds one might expect. Nonetheless, we were thoroughly impressed by the warm atmosphere and impeccable service. I wholeheartedly grant it a five-star rating.
We tried Chana bhatura and samosas and chai. Good for the price you pay. Clean place and not crowded at all during weekdays. The Mithai sections looks delicious too. Tuesdays is makki di roti and saag special.
We stopped here tonight at 614pm to pick up some of their famous Samosas on our way back from Whitby. We ended up getting the Garlic Naan as well as the Samosas. Staff said it would take 20 minutes. We decided to walk to the nearby Tim Hortons/Wendy's to pass the time and have a coffee/use the washroom. Toddler travel. :) Went back to pickup the order and everything was amazing. Everything was hot and fresh. The staff is great! We will be back on another road trip.
Great place for fresh vegetarian food. The sweets always look amazing. Samosas are a family favourite - very filling and tasty.
I always grab samosas for everyone at work every few weeks from here! LOVE THEM! Preorder and they cook them fresh for pick up! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Travel from the other side of Mississauga for them!
Unfortunately what used to be my favorite Indian food restaurant has now become one that I will not go back to... Which I am very saddened by.... I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back four times after my first negative experience. They changed the recipes for basically everything everything is way saltier some things are much spicier sometimes (if it was just spicier always it would not be a problem but if you dont know what youre going to get its an issue) .and not other times we ordered online and the order that we received was completely wrong. We were missing a large Shahi paneer and a large veggie of the day in return what we got was a small container of some sort of thing that was tomato and mushrooms. And the carrot is just completely different
I bought a lot of samosa for a party, it was OK, except it was too spicy. The samosa dough/crust is amazing after 2 days dough remain intact, snd not soggy from the oil. The lady at the front was bery attentive and friendly.
Worst experience I had ever .......
I just visited A1 sweets at Oakville and Kavika was at the counter. She was so pleasant, friendly and helpful. She suggested some sweets and was such a great experience. Highly recommend A1 sweets for their wonderful customer service and thank you Kavika!
Ive been going to A1 SWEETS OAKVILLE for over 1 year now. Every time Im there, Im impressed by their selection of FRESH vegetarian dishes and love dealing with the staff because they are very friendly and courteous. This place is more than 10/10!!! I truly suggest giving this amazing Dine IN/ Take OUT Restaurant a GO!!! And PLEASE try their INDIAN SWEET SELECTION its to die for!!! Thanks Russell
Very bad experience. Visited for Sunday brunch, ordered chole bhature and weekend special poori sabji, stale and uncooked food. Got sick by the food.2 chole bhature for $24?? Chole had no taste :(
Nice food spot
Bad food, food always seems a day old.....service and ambience are also not great..!
The restaurant is outdated, with worn out tables and chairs. The staff try to come across as friendly, but their approach is pushy, they dont allow you time to look through the menu before insisting you to place your order. We had the buffet, the food quality is sub-standard, not very tasty or fresh. Heard hacking, coughing and sneezing sounds coming from the kitchen, so we stopped eating our meal mid-way, and left. A couple of us were sick later that day! Requires a lot of improvement, we wont be visiting again!
Good gulab jamun and ladoo
The place is quiet and peaceful but the food quality is bad. Breads/ roti was good. Few things were gone bad. Suggestion is to keep less items but fresh and good taste. To keep up to buffet standards they have kept a lot of things but may be can t maintain due to less in flow of people coming in.
Delicious food. If you are not into really hot food just ask them the ones to avoid and you will fill your belly.
Low quality food!
Have visited recently and bought sweets and samosas from here. Honestly samosas are not tasty and tastes like made it couple of days back. Sweets are below average. I dont recommend this restaurant for sweets and samosas.
Good
Amazing food. Good portion. Amrit and Harleen were great in serving the table. Thank you guys and keep up the good service.
The food was served cold and soggy. Staff is rude esp the head girl, she gives you arrogant faces and they don t have experience or knowledge about their pricing and regulations. In the buffet, very few items are available and rest other are chargeable separately. The charge dine in extra charge, without informing the customer beforehand and then they fight for $2. It was my worst experience and wouldn t ever come again here.
One of the best samosas in area. 1. Very fresh and smell nice 2. Not too spicy 3. Good fried ( I mean in a good oil) Thanks guys for well done
I found it expensive as they charge 2.50 dollars for one tawa roti. Also I order matter Panner for 15 dollars and only has 4 pieces of Panner.
Had an upset stomach after the samosa. Dhai puri was overpriced and not well prepared.
Got some kaju katri and it s dry and have an bitter after taste. God knows how long they have been kept like that
Delicious food neat and clean always
Tasty and delicious also good service
Low rent Indian restaurant Parking: There were like cars or something Food : 1/5 |
I am no longer supporting this restaurant. The quality of food is poor! I have noticed a progressive decline in their quality of foods. Years ago this was my go to place to buy vegetarian Indian food but not anymore. The vegetarian dishes, especially the aloo jeera is bland and the potatoes are not boiled properly, it s on the harder side. The naan was also too burnt, I am shocked that the staff thought it was okay to give a customer this.
Good people clean place.
Not supporting this restaurant after getting brutal customer service and disrespect. Being to this place earlier as well never got a good customer service. We decided to go there again on Saturday, we had worst experience on Saturday, As soon as we entered we ask employee that we are here for dine in. With a fraction of second she started asking what u want to order for dine. No welcome or manner to greet guest. I really felt so bad we both decide to walk out of this place. I believe the owner of this place don t care about anything. Owner needs to train their employee and teach them how to deal with customer. Will not be going to this place anymore. Stay away if you feel you need a good customer service. Only go if you don t care about customer service
how do i eat 5 samosas with this small container of sauce? they are so cheap. i spent 40$ here and had to remind them to add the sauce.
Dont know how to speak with customer . Very rude staff. Not even co-operative. Will not come here again and will ask everyone not to come here and will also ask my friend not to visit this place .
Staff is not good at all. They dont talk well and do not know how to behave. Talking about the food, there was no butter in butter naan and the food service was disappointing.
Really good sweets , loved it
Today Saturday morning i had a visit at restaurant .I ordered chana bhatura and some veggies. I can say the food was really amazing and customer service was so good. I will definitely visit again. Moreover, the girl on the counter, Gurleen was very polite and helped me alot with my order. Highly recommend.
Actually quality of food and service has improved tremendously under the new ownership. Very pleasant people:)
Ok to grab a quick bite !
Just got some samosa s it s hot and delicious with the sauces
Very stupid rules in this restaurant. My family wanted a buffet and I wanted al-a-carte item which was not in buffet, but they said all of us have to eat buffet if one family member is eating buffet. What is this rule ? If I am paying for a food I deserve to eat what I like. This rule should have been ok if I was not ordering anything and was trying to share buffet with my family. But when I am ordering a food for myself as well, it doesn t make sense to put restriction. Either make this restaurant Buffet Only or Make alacarte only. If it is a mix type of restaurant then people will order mix type of order in a family. It is not necessary that all members in a family would like to eat the same food. Never coming back here
Had a great experience this morning. Called right when they opened and ordered 30 samosas for work. They were fresh and hot when I got there and everyone loved them. Would highly recommend. They even brought them to my car. Thank you and will definitely be returning!
$10 for a small pack of boondi. They are price gouging clearly!
Bad quality of sweets too much sugar & priceis higher then other sweets
Samosa was good but potato stuffing of bread pakoda taste like its old/ stale not fresh , also have thick layer of besan
I heard a lot about its samosa, so went to try and it was just as expected. Too good! Also tried their kachori but that was ok ok. Chole bhature were yummy.. tasted just like the ones I used to have at my school canteen. Definitely going back to have it again.. All you can eat buffet sounds good too.. I have not tried it yet. They have gol gappas and bhelpuri.. so if you are in the area do check this place out!
Love their biryani
First and last time...way better places that serve Indian food than this establishment.
Great place in Oakville for desi Indian food.
excellent quality food and delicious. probably only place which does vegan dal makhni !
Ordered off skip the dishes, they didnt give the delivery driver half of our order and then refused to do anything about it. I do not recommend anybody order from this restaurant.
Terrible customer service, food is mediocre. I do not recommend.
I have been here couple of times but for takeaways only. Food is good. Ate samosas and they are good with the green chutney. Their Buffet looks yummy and Im gonna try it out soon and post comments. They have a variety of sweets too. Good indian food place.
Now, I understood why their ratings are dropping. First, bad quality food. We ordered Kachori and it was as hard as a stone. I had to call the store personnel and ask them to break it without using hammer, it was that hard. And then she says that, It s not my problem. I will get you another one. . I asked, Will that be hard too? . And she says, I don t know. I don t make it. What kind of responses are these? No politeness and customer service is completely out of the window.
my family loves this restaurant. For years we go there and never have been disappointed. Highly recommend
Had a tali!! Delicious!
Friendly staff and great food as well
food is very bad. All the food is made with dirty oil and the flavour of chutney is very disgusting. The food tasted pale as they made and old item and sent it without considering our health. Overall, Not recommended to anyone.
I ordered smosa from this store .. they never give enough sauce .. i have ordered few other times .. its same all the time .. when i went there to get more .. i was ready to pay for extra.. the lady was so rude and askig me how many extraa u need we already gave 2 .. r u kiding me 2 sauce for 10 smosa.. out of ur mind.. management need to pay attention to customer service
Our default go to Indian Food house in Oakville!
Only thing I would say is there samosa are bit spicy..so watch out if you dont eat spicy food
Very much liked their masala tea and indian snacks like samosa. Also meal options are great. One can savor their indian taste buds with paneer dishes, dal makhani, kadi pakoda, baigan bharta, mix veg, jeera aalu and other north indian dishes. Would love to visit again whenever I am around. Vegetarian options: Only veg meal options
The staff and the incharge seems to be new so... The staff wished New year with a friendly and welcoming smile..so great!!! The food was good...quantity and choices of thali were good too,, not spicy..thats why we like his cosy place to eat. Keep up the good work. 5 stars !!! Even our dog was allowed..
While returning back from Mata Vaishnodevi Temple in Oakville, we thought of taking out samosas and paneer pakoras. Honestly, I like the taste of samosas and paneer pakoras. However, I could have given 5 stars if the samosas would have been crispy! You should try this place once and let me know whether you like it or not.
Quality? Everything was soo watery couldn t find paneer pieces lol rice was hard, waste of money better to try oh bombay for Indian cuisine
Ordered saag - full of onions - they have doubled the prices.
Damnn!! Ordered 75 samosas and they came in a box hot and tasted fresh & delicious. All my colleagues loved it. Infact, my manager went ahead and ordered another 60 the next day
Good food. They have combo options and thali options, which are good if you want to taste multiple items. The food was appropriately spicy and freah naans were good. Food
Great place for quick snacks and dinner..
I purchased Chamcham for myself and some other sweets to gift to my relative in Oakville. The Chamcham was found to be fermented and smelly. I dont know how were the other sweets I delivered to my relatives.
Casual atmosphere, descent food. I ook out one dish but looking at the election and chaat counter I intend to go back to try it out.
Ordered chole bhature, was told 2 bhature is included. Disappointed when come home and found one naan cut in half in the order. Very dissatisfied with the order, felt like to go back and show them. Kids were unhappy and told me to never go back.
Ordered chole bhatura for family and when I came home to open they gave only naan not bhatura in half pieces. Worst part not that they cut the naan in half pieces but it was burnt also. Called them back and they hung up the phone when I spoke with young girl who answered the call. Not sure how they stay in business as they never used to do this. Replaced naan for bhatura and cut in half saying it s two full? Charge quite a lot for small portion too. Won t be going back again!
I bought paneer pakora and vegetable pakoras. Very disappointed with both items. Paneer was too hard and look like very old.
I recently visited this vegetarian restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. From the moment I walked in,The decor was charming and gave off a cozy vibe, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or and family. The menu offered a diverse range of vegetarian dishes, making it easy to find something to suit everyones tastes. My son and my self decided to try their thali and was not disappointed. The flavors were well balanced and the ingredients were fresh and naan was vey crispy. My particularly appreciated how the kulcha was presented with an eye for detail and thoughtfulness. The service was excellent, with the wait staff being friendly and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. First time my son finished full thali I was happy as he picked 3 different dishes in thali and he like all of them and finished Overall, I highly recommend this vegetarian restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, affordable and enjoyable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon!
We ordered A1s catering trays for a party at our house. The food was amazing. Online ordering was simple and efficient, Preet was at the counter when we picked it up and the trays were packed very well. The quantity of the food, the quality and taste was up to the usual A1 standards.
I was craving for Chana samosa and we got their at 8.55pm (Five minutes before it was about to close). But, they still prepared my order. Really nice of them. The food was hot and fresh and I loved my Chana samosa. Oh and there were 2 samosas and enough chana masala, enough for 2 people to share. It was mild, not spicy, perfect. Could use a little more garnish. Overall, it was worth going again.
Very expensive not good quality food wont recommend this place chholay bhature for example is 11.99 like seriously
Food is average vs the price. The Indian vegetable curries tasted fine but average. Taste not bad, but quality is not high.Same goes for Chana bhature
Great vegetarian and Vegan food !!!
It has been about 8-10 years but nothing has changed with A1. And every time I visit, I can confirm that the taste, customer service and sweets: still mediocre. I m so surprised that people are willing to to spend their money at this joint. Amazing..
Tried the buffet....in the vain hopes of enjoying a decent Indian meal. Unfortunately, it didnt turn out to be the kind of food I was expecting. Standard of cooking was hapless and disappointing. Do not recommend. The sweet section is average, I have tried their kalakand and besan burfi -- Id rate both 6/10. This outlet apparently sells a lot of samosas. I guess that tells me as a newcomer to Canada from the land of samosas ie Delhi (India), any crew who can make half decent samosas in Oakville will rake in a lot of money.
Never try Aloo tikki chat , simply a waste of money and just one word , pathetic. Gave the feedback to the store but they were not ready to accept and take corrective measures, so have to review it publicly to save other peoples time and money. The other time i tried bread pakoras, that too were half cooked. Before that, tried chole bhature, but the chole were tasteless with just the flavour of red chilli. All in all, been there few times in a hope that they would do better and they have disappointed me every time
I recently dined at this place and while the food was delicious, I was disappointed by the lack of customer service. Despite being seated promptly, no one greeted me or my party, which left us feeling neglected throughout our meal. However, the food itself was excellent. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant for its tasty cuisine, but hope they improve their customer service to provide a more enjoyable dining experience.
Food was far from tasty. Its a clean and organized restaurant in prime location. Nan was not at all good.
Excellent samosas, but they act really cheap when it comes to giving enough chutney with samosas (even if you ask). It gets really frustrating ordering from them just for this reason.
Food was not tasty and neither was the service good.
Good. Must go place for an Indian foodies..
Before I give this review, I completely understand that costs have gone up. BUT, you cant increase prices AND make the samosas smaller. AND, the amount of chutney they give was pathetic. The place is definitely not clean....
Delicious
Really delicious, fast and friendly staff. Came alone when I had an hour from from work. Will bring family here for dinner!
Absolutely love this place!! The food is soo good and the service is amazing. Will be bringing the fam here, for sure!
Food was average. However the samosas were great and so was the service.
Kulcha was very nice but chat was not up to the mark we had pani puri and Kachin I chat but it was not tasty and quantity was too less. But amitrisari kulcha was best tasty and huge.
Worst Indian snacks and sweets . Never tasted such a worst food
I tried aalu parantha, taste was really good.
I went for a Dine in and ordered Panipuri, Channa bhatura, and thali. Panipuri water was so bad. Left it as it as. Literally just a mint powder mixed in the water. Worst pani puri s pani i would say. It s 14.99 plus taxes for the thali and the quantity of vegetables is very less. Very poor customer service. Never answer the phone.
Had a good Chole Bhature here. They accepted my request to make thin and crispy bhature.
Fabulous food and people. A1 service.
We used to love going to A1 for our vegetarian Punjabi food fixes but now we are afraid to go there. We were up-charged once for a dish (double charged). So we asked to look at the itemized bill the next time and the cashier was really rude to us. Also they by default packed our food for to-go whereas we went to dine in and sat on the table waiting for our food. When we mentioned we were waiting for the food on the table, she said you didnt say you were going to dine in and started arguing with us blaming us not to be specific. We were intimidated because she was loud and annoyed but nonetheless we opened our To-Go boxes and started eating there. The server (a Sikh young man) was really nice and brought us water and apologized but by the time the bhaturas and paranthas were not crispy. The very reason we never do take out is to get fresh and crispy food, straight from the kitchen and not to waste the environment with plastics was defeated and we came back with an awful experience. Sad to say that this behavior has repeated twice and although their food is decent we dont feel welcome there and they have just lost a loyal customer of 4 years. Vegetarian options: All vegetarian but nothing vegan.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at this Indian Restaurant, and I must say that the experience left a lot to be desired. The quality was far from satisfactory. The dishes lacked the authentic flavors and freshness that one would expect from an Indian restaurant. The flavors were bland, as if the spices had been sparingly used or not at all. It was evident that shortcuts were taken in the preparation, resulting in a lackluster dining experience. Moreover, the portion sizes were disappointingly small for the price charged for Thali. It looks more in the photo but not more than 2 small spoons of servings were there. We left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. In addition to these shortcomings, the prices were exorbitant for the subpar quality of food and service received. We expected better value for our money, but unfortunately, it was an underwhelming experience that did not justify the high prices. Not coming again and will not recommend to anyone.
Good service
Food is alright. Really pricy for the ambience. They charge like a fine dine but are not. Food is 3.5/5. If you are looking for a quality comfortable place to dine and spend a few hours, you won t find it here. The place needs serious renovations and the people (specifically the lady in her 30s) at the counter need to learn to be polite. Their unnecessary attitude is not helping the place.
Food was delicious and well cooked, I personally prefer more spice but thats just my own preference. The prices are pretty unreasonable though, we barely got a full meal and it costed $75, other places are in my opinion much more worth it, regardless though it wasnt bad.
Awesome always fresh
MUST AVOID food here, service is poor as they don t care about taste and quality .They are serving stale food which will cause food poisoning as I started puking after hour of eating buffet here. I complained to miss gurveen twice that rice have bad smell as they are very old but she didn t replaced it and even it doesn t matter to them. She said okey we will see. They are giving 5% discount on cash which is another way to scam government.
Authentic. True simplest form of Indian service. Rare find.
Nice array of vegetarian options. Love the Thali to go. The sweets are delicious.
Overall the food was not good. Samosas in particular were very stale, and had a really bad aftertaste like they were cooked in old and dirty oil. I expected better as it was pretty expensive per samosa. There also wasnt enough chuntni with the food. Gulaab jaaman also missed the mark. Overall service was also very poor. Will not be coming back.
Lacks the finesse and a bit pricey compared to similar outlets. Wonder why on a Sunday they open as late as 11 am Food
Good food and great service
Diagusting found finger nail in gulab jamun.
Unfortunately the quality has gone down. Will not be visiting again.
Always great food and service.
Absolutely horrible staff and mediocre food! Avoid at all costs! We came here for dine-in at 7:30 PM and after standing in a line for 25 minutes we were randomly told that dine-in is closed. Theres no signage mentioning this anywhere at the restaurant or on their website. Their staff is extremely rude and the restaurants atmosphere is chaotic. Floors were unclean and sticky The buffet food looks stale and is probably reheated for multiple days at a stretch. Not recommended at all.
Terrible food and horrible customer service. Tried 2 veggie meal (karhi pakora and aloo jeera). Aloo not properly cooked and karhi pakora was simple yogurt and chickpea water with lot of spices in it. Please improve the food quality.
Whenever I go to oakville, I never forget to buy salty Lassi from A-One sweets. Aalo Gobi, Mooli parathas are always yummmyyyyy.
This has become a terrible restaurant, I used to be a regular customer but food is now low quality and stale. Moreover staff is extremely rude. How can you say tea is not available in the evening, it was just 7. They really need to move up their customer service in order to stay in the business.
Horrible food quality and experience
Only their buffet is worth
Went for a lunch buffet. Plates were not clean, neither were any utensils. When we asked staff for clean utensils they rudely told us to search for clean ones and leave the dirty ones to the side. One man ended up giving us plastic utensils as they were too lazy to clean anything. Food was also extremely greasy and I m aware Indian food contains oil
Best Indian restaurant in oakville.
I m a British Indian living in Canada for many years. Wow I walked into A1 Sweets and I felt the Diwali vibes!! I felt like I was back home in Leicester, England. Beautiful colours, yummy methai, delicious food, divas, rangoli stencils, gift baskets. Love the Diwali backdrop where we could take photos. Happy Diwali to everyone at A1 Sweets!
We ordered jalebi, the taste had an oily aroma whoch left a very bitter taste. Very OK kind of food quality.
Good samosas and chai. Staff could not answer basic questions.
Excellent service like Team Kaliga in Real Estate looking for homes near by come to Team Kaliga office call us at Team Kaliga We support local Asian Business by buying and supporting with good reviews .. keep the positive spirit of Business live.
Parleez is great, 5 stars for her She is more than excellent Really liked the place Food is delicious te lassi v Gall baat
Food is very good. Great service by Lisa 10 stars for her.
I have been a regular at A1. We usually take the thali with 3 curries and naan. But, last weekend, we tried their all-you-can-eat buffet. We were left very disappointed at the spread, value, and quality of the food. My partner and I tried every item on the buffet and only liked the puri and.......thats it! We used to like their achari paneer and mixed veg curries. I am not sure what happened, these items were not the same anymore. The potato filling in the samosa had absolutely no seasoning. The chana salad for panipuri was clearly not freshly made and smelled a bit off. The paneer Biryani had more red food coloring than seasoning of any kind. The achari paneer had very little achaar, so the gravy tasted pretty bland. The Gulab Jamun was extremely flaky and was not even cooked properly before introducing to the syrup. I could go on, but I think the point is made. I guess there were all the ingredients in place but were terribly put together. In hindsight, this deterioration has been several months in the making. Its a shame I saw one of my favorite places in Oakville progressively get worse to this point. Unfortunately, I would not be visiting A1 again.
I really had a bad experience whenever I go there I got Channa bhatura when I visited for the first time bhatura was extremely greasy and was stale The other time I thought to try something new . I ordered samosa chaat and chat papri samosa chaat was ok But the chaat was so horrible .they literally added dry and stale bhalle in it would never recommend anyone about this restaurant.
I bought 2 sweet boxs 2 lbs each for rakhi day today . One box of mixed sweets( rasgulas ) and one box of klakand . im very dispointed with rasgulas i got ,very dry rasgulas .i never gonna buy that sweet again .
I really like food. Specially chole bhatura. Awesome
Overpriced stale food. Jalebi on a fri evening tasted like it was from the previous week - even though staff said it was fresh from the same day. Cashier took my order, then the next persons order gave them their order, and then only prepared my order when i enquired!
Lovely homestyle sabzis - just what I was looking for in Oakville! I ordered Palak paneer and mixed veg.
Best sweet shop in Oakville
Food is to good . There are so many options for buffet. Costumer service is also very good
If u want to eat hair. Please visit.
We regularly come for a family meal. Simple, quick, and tasty.
We were craving for samosas over the weekend, so grabbed some from here. they were good. Also, tried the mithai/sweets - loved the almond burfi, mango burfi and the milkcake.
We took Thali meals. Quality and quantity were good. But the preparations were a bit oily. Extra oil should be avoided for making the dishes healthy. Vegetarian options: This is a vegetarian restaurant.
Money minded people... No interest in long term relationship building with customers..
Excellent food I tried paneer kulcha and Amritsari kulcha And excellent service by Raman , Preet and kalman Thank you so much We love your store
Amazing service by the servers.
Very disappointed. Will never dine again for sure. They charge too much money for buffet and food quality . My other factory member get very upset and there was missing food on the buffet deals.
Great food amazing service Will return fr sure
Very tasty food & friendly staff
I don t want to give a single star as there was not any option for the -0. I ordered a thali and pav bhaji today, after waiting 10-15 minutes they said you can take your thali now. Few minutes more a guy came to us and said they don t have pav so we have to re order, excuse me? You guys gave us suggestion? That I can go for another thing if don t want to? And I said I need a re fund , there was no response. When we were done with our thali, went to the girl then she said she will refund us. No apologies? Nothing. Totally unprofessional people working there. They wasted our time today.
Average food with very rude owners and staff. Only thing you can eat here is amritsari kulcha.
Very nice place! Love a lot
Overpriced poor customer service
A1 has an okay rating from me. The staff was extremely nice but the facility needs to have cleaner washroom and space to put the garbage can. It was so close to the washbasin that one will have to squeeze their way to wash hands. Dishes were stained . It could be clean but there were stains. I hope they make some positive changes in the facility. 5 star rating to the staff .....
Worst food Ive had in a long time. I ordered three dishes (Malai Kofta, Sahi Panner and Gulab Jamun) and all three of them were equally disastrous. It was complete waste. Save your money and taste.
We had been here earlier as well and did not like the food we got packed for home. However a couple of weeks back, we had another takeout dinner from here for the lack of options but that turned out to be very very good. So today we decided to give it another try and I must say that the experience today made us believe that the first time would have been a not so good day for me and them. The staff was very nice in behaviour and the additional sweetness by talking in Punjabi was to die for. The food I must say was awesome. We had 2 thalis and a chana bhatura. If their price makes you worried about the quantity, take my word for it that if will be sufficient. They give you a true value for your money and the bonus is the staff behaviour. Full marks from me.
You guys have to go for Malai kulfi. Yes its expensive but its oakville and I couldnt find the Malai kulfi anywhere that they got in the little pots. The second thing I get from here is amritsari kulcha. Really good food but the ambience is not as welcoming. Its good enough if you just need a place to sit and eat quickly but not a place to bring a date or for celebrations
Came here yesterday Even though was pretty busy I had a good server The sweets I bought were exquisite The only person deserving a raise is Liza
Great food..... quick and efficient service .... totally vegetarian....lots and lots of Indian sweets to try, for sweet lovers
I came in tonight to buy a Diya for my class, since we have been learning about Diwali. On their busy evening, the staff took time to help me choose a Diya and they explained so much to me and they were so welcoming! Everything looked amazing and I will be back for dinner and sweets! I cannot wait to show my class the beautiful diyas I bought here! Thanks Oakville A1!
No host, just stood wondering what to do. The food was very underwhelming. Nothing was salted. Wasn t offered water, i had to ask for it. Quite expensive for a vegetarian restaurant. Overall I would never go or recommend this place.
It was nice place to have lunch. I ordered Amritsari kulcha with Chana and it was amazing.
The food taste and quality is really good. The person who are working here are really kind and friendly. Moreover, the soft music with indian style food perfect combo. Must visit once.
Staff have zero customer service attitude. Also, most dishes are spicy and they wont adjust anything for you. The staff simply dont care.
Best place to get samosa near to Burlington and Oakville.
Me and my family love the chane bhature
Horrible customer service. Didnt let us dine in with a small child in the freezing cold. Werent willing to make masala chai 45 minutes before closing time and claimed it was too late. Rude staff and did not even allow us to throw out garbage. Worst restaurant ever, disgrace to the Indian name!
The quality of food is extremly bad even i would rate zero with chapati since once i tried gulab zamun it was tasteless . Never pickup the call even they dont have any order there
Weird customer service and the quality of the food is not up to the mark . I think they should compare their taste with other restaurants . I tried samosa and chapati both things taste ridiculous . And even gulab jamun taste like they are dipped in murabba water.
They used to be very good. But the new staff is not good at all. They put such less food in takeout. It s a shame
Great restaurants great food and expensive
I dont say anything bad about food because we all work for that.. you guys dont even know what you re selling and charging people like you re marvellous in every terms. The whole universe is not selling paneer pakora for 14.99 but you. Frozen items and tons of canned food you guys use. I honestly very disappointed with that in this hard time innocent people hardly makes the money and you overcharge them. You should learn how to make food dont sell puree and readymade material. If you wanna taste the food come to brampton here plenty of options with good quantity and reasonable price. You guys are just taking advantage of the oakville people bcoz they ve no other option..
