Elegant space with all-you-can-eat Japanese & Thai cuisine, plus à la carte dining options.
First time here after the renovations and will not be our last. Right when we entered the restaurant we were greeted and welcomed in so warmly. The decor and cleanliness of the restaurant was top notch . Service was superb and the food was delicious and served quite fast .
No matter which location I visit, it's always been a 5 star experience. Staff is always friendly, quick to serve us our drinks and our food. We had a group of over 20 people and everyone had a perfect time. Will return to this location again anytime.
Five stars everything - from food to the staff to the beautifully renovated space! We come here once a week as our whole family loves Japanese and Thai food. The whole staff knows us already and are always so kind and welcoming. Did I mention the food is amazing? 😊
Food was phenomenal and the service was really good! I personally like the server with the red hair. The recommendations she made for the appetizers were spot on, enhancing our dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful night that left us eager to return
This place is a joke I ordered through Uber eats so I cannot rate service or atmosphere. I ordered chicken wontons x 2, chicken siu mai , shrimp siu mai, and coconut shrimp. First of all , the sauces for all the items were disgusting. Whatever happened to soy sauce, or fish sauce or even thai chilli sauce. Nope none available. Didnt even give me a single napkin or utensil. The shrimp siu mai was full of shrimp poop. The wontons were missing the chicken. The chicken siu mai was rubbery and weird. Coconut shrimp was ok but cold af. Jus so annoyed, working a 12 hr shift and this is the bullshit i got delivered. Never again!
Beautiful atmosphere and food. Service was great. Staff was all so nice. We did not need to wait for our server to clear our table or ask if everything was good. Everyone was so nice. Food was very affordable, restaurant was small and cozy. Can have an intimate dinner or lunch here.
Jacob and jackie were wonderful Food is amazing. Every plate was tasty and consistent. Welcome back spoon and fork trafalgar!!
First time there, decor was good, food was okay, but the service was way too slow. Ordered two GLASSES of plum wine, and they served us with two SHOTS of plum wine. We thought they might served us with wrong wine, then we asked for clarification from the waitress. The answer we got from her was ‘the plum wine is expensive, they need to minimize the cost’. But they made one of the plum wine we ordered free, which is nice. We checked the price of the plum wine LCBO sells online, it really surprised us. I mean, yeah, restaurants make money, but making money in this way (giving misleading information and excuses) doesn’t seems right… took a photo of the glass for water, the glass for coke, and two GLASSES for plum wine, see the photo and you’ll get it Additionally, their ‘crème brûlée’ is liquid… The manager there was nice and friendly Anyway, first time there, and the last time there, won’t recommend it to people around me
After being closed for a few months, they ve renovated and the inside decor is so tasteful and creates an amazing ambiance! On top of that, the plating and quality of the food has gotten exponentially better. I m not sure if it s new management or what, but the appetizer platter blew my whole family away. There was such good variety and great prices. They were very quick to refill our waters, clear plates, and the manager or supervisor came to say hello! After being regular Spoon & Fork customers, and impressed with how much they ve evolved, we opted for their $50 annual membership. I recommend everyone that hasn t visited since their reno to pop in! Vegetarian options: Lots of options.
New reopening comes with a new ambiance, but not to mention good number of selection of items. Definitely a great option for ayce near us. Dietary restrictions: Though meat is not halal, but great sushi alternatives. Best of both Thai and Japanese cuisine
They took away free refills but the food is still good
We were led by the receptionist and she put down an iPad for us and then walked away. No greetings, no mentioning our waitress will be with us shortly! Food selection was were small vs other sushi AYCE restaurants we have been before. We had to look out for available stuff for questions.
Let me be very clear. I love S&F and I used to come and bring my friends to this place occasionally. The food and service were usually great, until today when the waiter made a comment about how much food we have ordered. There were 3 of us and we ordered a moderate amount of food. Her comment really left a bad taste for all of us. The other two were pretty upset but decided not to say anything back and ruin a good time we were hoping to have. I am not sure if it was a restaurant policy for staff to make comments or it was just her bad manners but either way it was pretty distasteful and I am not sure if I would want to go back and risk experiencing the same again.
Visited Spoon + Fork Oakville recently. The host was welcoming and set a great tone at the start. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious, but the chicken dishes were over-fried to the point of being inedible. The ambiance was pleasant, but the service was disappointing. Our assigned waitress (with pink/red hair) was indifferent, failing to greet or smile. While she was polite and attentive to another table nearby, her attitude towards us felt dismissive, raising concerns about possible bias or indirect racism, which was upsetting. Additionally, the ordering process was frustrating. Having to ask the server to confirm each item or request dessert felt awkward and unnecessary. Ironically, the waitress became polite only when it was time to settle the bill and tips. Overall, while the food and atmosphere had potential, the service experience overshadowed the positives. Would hesitate to return unless service improves.
Went before they reopened quite a bit and after their reopening a few times. Ill get the negatives out of the way. Before, the service could be spotty but it seemed like it improved depending on the server you get. There are some mediocre food options on the menu like the dumplings or dim sum too, and that still seems to be the case. However, they have a lot of really good quality food for an ayce place. Salmon sashimi was really, REALLY nice after the reopening with how it was cut and the amount of marbling it had. Their udon is probably their best side dish I always get whenever I come here too just because its consistently good too. The sushi is good but not as good as the sashimi, and they do have some good apps like the coconut shrimp and beef tataki. I usually order the sashimi and udon as my safe main course, and I experiment around with other dishes. Thats how I would recommend you approach here for a first time experience. Seriously though, the udon is solid.
Wonderful night out for us! We weren t sure what to eat so we figured that Spoon and Fork has it all!! Food and atmosphere were amazing! But the best part of the experience was MIA our server who made sure we had everything we wanted and to top it she always had an amazing Smile . Thank you Mia, Jackie and staff for the beautiful dinning experience
Spoon and Fork Trafalgar is back with new decor but the same great menu. Food is good as always.
After renovating, the quality and service has dramatically improved! I will definitely come back again. Great venue for parties and love the all you can eat
Came here with my friend, Amy. Everything was superb; the food arrived quickly and hot. The service displayed by the servers were professional. Youre missing out if you havent dined here yet
The food is excellent. Tasty and properly seasoned. Had an issue with one of my orders and the manager Jackie (hopefully i spelt his name correctly) not only made it right, he personally drove the meal to me. 5-Stars. Will definitely be back!
Amazing food.
I have been there three times since it reopened. Every time I have had a very good experience, delicious food, warm service, and comfortable environment. The manager can recognize me every time, which proves their respect and enthusiasm for every customer. I will definitely recommend it to more friends around me.
What a great experience. The all you can eat option was exceptional!
Went with wife, daughter and grandson. We all ordered from all you can taste and we outdid ourselves. We had to leave some food uneaten. Service was fabulous! In spite of the many items we ordered, all were delivered to our table within minutes. Definitely a memorable experience!
We came here for my mother in laws birthday yesterday and were very impressed by both the food and the service! We got the all you can eat lunch. I had never had a restaurant replace my plate once it had become messy. I think they did it 4 times for me. The blow torch sushi was great, and we also loved the coconut shrimp. So many ways to order beef too! I believe the 8 of us tried practically everything on the menu. We had an excellent time and will be back for sure!
The new renovations look amazing and Jacky manages a team of very professional staff. Very well managed restaurant with the most versatile and tasty all you can eat menu out there.
The new renovation is really nice, but be caution when u r going with babies. It is ridiculous to charge $18 for a 1.5 years old baby!
Came here for all you can eat and was very pleased with the food and especially the service. The manager Jackie came out, introduced himself and struck up conversation and was awesome. All the servers were amazing too. Definitely coming back
Great food and accommodations to my but allergy. Jacob, our server, was amazing!
First time eating here and everything was very pleasant. Jacob, our server, was very helpful and knowledgable. The restaurant was slammed tonight but our food came super fast. Love the coconut shrimp, super flavourful and crispy; the whole family loved this dish!
Easily my favorite restaurant. No other dinner experience compares for me.
Nice food and ambience...
Tried this place one last time since they reopened. Service was friendly. Food was fast and delicious. The place was clean. The drink menu is too expensive. $9 for a bottle of beer. It s only $6 for a pint at the other location. For that reason; I will be going to the other location.
Few number of seats with chairs , you have too much booth
They were able to accommodate our large crowd. Service was awesome
We ordered our favourite dishes and it came out they way we liked..came twice still closed though online says it is open....??????
Excellent!!
Been there many times before. Great food and excellent service. Highly recommended.
The new management is great, really nice place, and amazing customer service. The food came fast and fresh, and it tasted so good. Definitely recommend!!! Vegetarian options: Available Parking: Too much available Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids
Ordered basil fried rice and calamari. Rice came soggy, mushy and should have never been served. Clearly noone cared. Will never return to spoon and fork
Temporarily Closed according to their voice mail.
As of April 2024 this restaurant is CLOSED due to POOR food quality and FAILED SANITATION inspection
Ordered 2 orders of Cheese Wontons got some kind of crab wontons instead. Extremely disappointed as this was Christmas dinner for guests :(. The menu states nothing about crab so I would never assume there was anything but cheese inside like the menu states especially when other locations serve their cheese wontons with only cheese in them.
The dishes arrived without any rice. The cheese wontons came with shrimp in them (they are not supposed to). This location always gets something wrong. Go to the Dundas/Neyagawa location instead.
The food was tasty and and came quickly after ordering. The service was a issue. Everyone was friendly, however, it seemed that they were in a rush to get us out. We got there at least 3 hours before the advertised closing time. Part way through our meal they started to mop around us which I thought was rude. When they brought the food, the server seemed annoyed. Dont go to this restaurant on a weekday evening, theyll chase you out.
We are in this place March 2,2024 around 6Pm..Food was good for the little that we got..each order that we placed we only received not even a quarter of it..service was almost not existend were waiting half an hour for food that we never got 100%. Asked for the bill because we are so frustrated with the wait time and the food that we never really got.$142.35 that we paid was not worth the wait and the food. Unhappy customer
Food was great BUT! Management service NOT GOOD. ruined our dinner! if you guys cant keep up limit your customers! I ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND this to my family and friends. Food
Nicely decorated restaurant. Great selection of Japanese and Thai food.
Price point expensive for ayce place.
Terrible experience. Left hungry as the food we ordered were not delivered. Seated for 1 1/2 hr before we slowly got some food. NEVER AGAIN.
I was there with three kids and asked for all what you can eat. I asked for two menus because we are fasting and we need the food on time. Then I was told by the staff not to order too much. They repeat it three times. My kids felt very bad. It was very bad experience so I wouldn t repeat it. Used to be one of our favourite places
Love the Oakville location. Friendly and fast service and the quality of the food is excellent.
Food is good. I eat so much. I love the mango salad I wish I got more but I was so full and they took the iPad anyways, I will come back for more mango salad. The creme brulee and mango pudding is delicious as well Food
very good food, excellent service
Went last night with my family. This spot came highly recommended to my mom by her co workers in oakville. We were really looking forward to it. My mom called ahead of time and asked if we could mix a la carte and all you can eat as my cousin and I wanted to do all you can eat but my parents don t eat much so they wanted to do a la carte. The person my mom spoke to told her that would be fine. Immediately we go in, and the gentleman at the front asked us if we were doing a la carte or all you can eat. we told him 2 a la carte and 2 all you can eat. we were then told we couldn t do that, it was either all a la carte or all all you can eat. this completely contradicted what my mom was told on the phone, but we decided to just do a la carte for all of us. We sat down and about 5 minutes later the same guy from the front came back and said we re really busy so you have until 6:45. He wrote it down on the paper that was covering the table and walked away. Right then and there, we knew we made a mistake coming here. In my whole life, I have never been given a time limit at a restaurant. He had such an attitude saying it then just walked away before anyone could get a word in. We all ordered our food and asked for it all to come out at the same time to which the waitress responded that was no problem. My sushi and soup came out at the same time, followed by the spring rolls and the soup my mom ordered. They didn t even bother asking who ordered what. They just began putting things down infront of whoever, which I thought was really odd. My moms soup was actually cold to touch so we had to send it back and get a new one. I finished all my soup and sushi and my families dinner hadn t even arrived to the table yet. It took 20 minutes AFTER i ate for them to get their food. We started to think they forgot, that s how long it took. Not one person apologized for the wait or came over to reassure us the food would be there soon. There was no paper towel in the washroom either and the hand dryer was broken. Their solution? a hand towel for ALL customers to use to dry their hands. That s disgusting. I used my own clothes instead. It was literally a dirty wet hand towel used by multiple people sitting between the sinks. How can anyone think that s okay? We didn t bother complaining to a manger as it was pretty clear that the manager instructed the staff to run the place as they were, so there was really no point. Although the food was delicious, this place lacks heavily in customer service. If you want to try the food, i d recommend doing take out.
Great place,
Excellent food and incredible service as always. I have been coming here for years. Love the all you can eat too!! Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options Parking: Easy to find parking
Its my favorite place for Japanese food to take out. Very fresh and delicious
Great staff and food
I had an unfortunate dining experience at this restaurant, primarily due to the service. Our server, Diana, was notably rude throughout our visit. Despite our party of six, she insisted we all order from a single iPad, which felt inconvenient and impractical. The food delivery to our table was erratic, with dishes arriving at random times without any regard to the order in which they were placed. However, the most disappointing aspect of the service came at the end of our meal. When it was time to pay the bill, Diana chose the tip percentage herself without giving us the opportunity to select or even view the available options. This was particularly frustrating as her attitude and the level of service provided did not merit the exceptional service mandatory tip she imposed on us. Overall, the experience was marred by poor service and an attitude from our server that left much to be desired. The food was mediocre ( mid ) at best, further detracting from the dining experience. It s disheartening when the service overshadows the meal itself, and unfortunately, that was the case here.
Food was average. I tried the lunch all you can eat menu which was at a good price point. The chicken pad thai was okay. The meat gyoza was good. Some of the curry tasted good (e.g. green curry, mango chicken). Overall the restaurant is okay if you ignore the quality of service. The service was horrible. Our waiters did not know which food contained peanuts. After mentioning there was an allergy at the table and we need to be sure it doesn t contain peanuts, they kept mentioning they think it doesn t but don t know for sure, but after asking multiple times they would finally go check with the kitchen. One waiter was nice but the other waiter was unacceptable. This to me seems very unprofessional. However, the food order sent to the kitchen came out quickly, and the portion size was nice (small portions). That being said, I ordered the same meal after other people at my table but my entire order came out first. It s very confusing how the kitchen does the orders. Lastly, the waitress does not understand the concept of tipping. She chose the tip% for us instead of letting us choose or asking us. I found that very rude. I always tip but I like to have the option of picking the percentage. To me it felt like the waitress always expects a certain tip value. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of their customer service. I hope management sees this and trains their staff adequately.
Vegetarian options: Large selection Food
This is a great place to eat I have been eating here for 15 years
Once you get used to ordering on the iPad... all great!
Found the service to be excellent- the restaurant manager in particular was friendly and very helpful- lovely atmosphere-just for me the food needs to be better -heavy. Handed with turmeric or ginger can spoil the flavour of dishes
Great place for dinner with a buffet! For one price you can try everything on the menu. Highly recommend any chefs special especially the beef tataki .
Horrible service. Never come back again.
We ordered two rounds of sashimi, and none were correct. Nine pieces of unagi were missing, and they served oil fish as shirome sashimi. In the second round, they served unrequested Kani sashimi and oil fish. The waiting time for the dishes was way too long, and the server thought we were finished before the last call. We understand the holiday season may lead to a lack of servers, but I feel bad about the inappropriate manner in which a staff member debated tips with me in a very loud voice. We will try to avoid dining in the restaurant at all cost in the future.
I m not kidding y all, the server told me & my friends we eat too much??? At an all you can eat buffet?? Also the salmon was not fresh.
I called to order a Wong tong soup for pick up, the who answered the phone today (jan 2, 2024) was beyond rude! The guy told me I better it would be ten minutes and told me not to be late. I literally called back 20 seconds after he hung up on me to cancel the order. I didn t like his tone. The guy freaked out and hung up on me again. Never again! I d advise anyone thinking of giving this place a chance, visit the other location.
Amazing, love the sushi
My family and I are frequent visitors of this location. The service and food is great. Quiet location, particularly during the week, this adds to the lure. Recommend the all you can eat format and particularly the satayed Beef skewers. The soft serve ice cream at the end of the meal reminds us of home.
Quite a few of the dishes were cooked pretty badly. Lamb, calamari was so overcooked that it was hard and dry. Wontons were overcooked to the point of almost falling apart. Many of the order amounts were served incorrectly and they even tried to get us to finish when we had an order left that wasnt served. Middle aged male staff/manager seemed to have attitude issues, probably the same person that other reviewers had problems with.
Great experience, service was great, food was great, and overall everything went well and there is nothing to be mad about. will come back again.
Extremely rude person right in the front!! Went to pick up my food - it said its ready for pickup and all I got is you should order early, this is busy time. I get it thats its busy but that is no excuse to have updated my order as ready. Had to wait 45 mins just to pick up my food where the app says it ready for pickup. Food is good and so is the atmosphere, but service makes all the difference in this industry. Extremely disappointed! People need to start appreciating others time as well, same as they expect us to appreciate their effort and tip accordingly. There is clearly a bias against food apps - ppl ordering directly are being given the food much earlier!! Shame...
Struggled between eating and chasing away fruit flies from your plate! Also the wrong amount of food was served like they were trying to deliberately serve less food to our table of 6 . Last and worse of all is the washrooms !! Disgusting!! It was so bad my kid couldn t use it ! This is my 3rd visit there and it s clear that the bathroom is always filthy!!
I don t even know where to begin. Went with my family to dinner hoping to enjoy some sushi. It was our first time at this location, as we ve been to the other location on Dundas and enjoyed ourselves there. To start, when we got there the hostess asked if we made a reservation. Before we could even answer the manager interrupted her and took over. As soon as we sat down, we started to order since we were really hungry. We went to order some salmon sashimi and because it was 6 of us we wanted to order a large amount along with maki rolls and fried stuff. We were unable to order more than 6 pieces as they have a policy for 1 piece per person per order. The manager explained that in the past people order a large amount and don t finish it. In our experience if people waste food they charge you extra. That was just the beginning. The wait times were unbelievably long for an all you can eat restaurant. Whenever we asked the manager what was taking so long, he said it was busy. But we looked around and saw the big tables empty, and it wasn t a full house. It looked like they were prioritizing the takeout orders over the people in the restaurant. When we started getting our food, there were lots of items missing, wrong items were getting sent to our table, and some of the fried foods were coming out cold. We had to ask our server everytime we put an order to check on it because we waited so long. Not to mention everytime we got our sashimi orders, the pieces kept on getting smaller and smaller. We ended up spending over 2 hours, when we usually spend just over an hour whenever we go to any AYCE sushi place. When my dad talked to the manager before we left and explained everything, he told my dad you shouldn t come on the weekend . WHAT?!? Overall, the manager was very rude, and unprofessional. He shouldn t be anywhere near the restaurant industry. Shoutout to our server who tried her best to help make our experience better. However, we will not return to a very poorly run and cheap restaurant.
I love sushi its rich in sushi and tamaki very good restaurant lots of love for japan
If the service is not good, tipping is compulsory. They don t even tell you how much the tip is and just charge it according to the amount. Once I went to dinner with my classmate and I didn t eat anything... She actually charged me the wrong meal fee and refused to refund it. Im not going anymore...
I have been going to this location for years and last night was it for me. Service was beyond slow and when we did get a bit of food brought out; it wasnt even what we ordered. Our 8 yr old was starving and being very good about the wait. Until, he literally said he wished we didnt come to this restaurant. He would have been happier at Tim Hortons. I ordered the Veggie options and in each one came meat. My husband didnt even get 20% of what he ordered before he lost his cool and wanted to leave. The manager came out and was rude and dismissive and offered no compensation. He in fact yelled at me saying we ate his food. Pardon me...WHAT FOOD!! The little food that was brought out. We paid good money to leave with hungry bellies. Disgusting service. Big red flag that we should have realized was being ignored by all staff while we were waiting to be greeted/served. Now a days with the price of dining, it is a luxury to go out and this experience was far from luxury. Setting us back $157 for an awful experience. Better options out there!
Descent price for lots of variety of Japanese, Thai, Chinese food all you can eat buffet, quality is not the best, service is good, order from a tablet & food comes quite fast, not bad in Oakville.
Havent been here since COVID and was a regular before COVID. No disappointments at all. The same excellent service and food. Thanks S&F!
Easy to order and high quality sushi.
Came for my dads What a nice staff! Friendly and polite. Our waitress (table 604, around 6pm) explained the menu to us and how the portions were for each of the sections. She got us extra hot water and napkins. The food came out fast, was fresh and delicious. She and the manager came out at the end of the dinner to sing my dad happy birthday and give him a special treat! Great place to celebrate a birthday. Clean washrooms too. The only small suggestion Id say is that the dining room smelled a little like stale water or maybe damp floor even though they have tile. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Thank you!
Excellent, fast and friendly service. We had the open sushi and it tasted fresh and delicious. And the variety is quite impressive to please everyone!
been going here for years and sad to see the deterioration in food quality with increase in prices. Their all you can eat dinner used to be really good with decent value for money but at $150 for family of four with two kids and two adults and given the poor quality of food it s no longer worth it there are far better options available at that price point.
Food was very good and service was excellent. The different beef dishes were not easy to differentiate amongst each other. They all seemed to blend into each other. The all you can eat sushi pieces were tiny but certainly fresh. The hot and sour soup and the Lemon Grass soups were delicious but not consistently served with appropriate stuff in them. Some soups were pure broth while others were full of tofu, mushrooms, etc... Mango salad was excellent. Calamari was less than expected... mostly batter not enough protein. Crisp Beef has got to be an acquired taste since it seems to be tiny pieces of beef with a ton of batter. .. seemed almost like chichharron (but with beef) All in all, a better than average experience with great friends Parking: Part of a strip mall so plenty of parking depending on what time of day you are there
Excellent place for all youbcan eat sushi. Even their a la carte menu tasted excellent. Will definitely come back.
My 2nd Visit to the Franchise but a different location ( OAKVILLE) , same high Standards will go again in the near Future for sure
The food was great, loved it. As the drinks, and customer service poor review. Customer service: They thought my boyfriend was an Uber driver . Very Rude. Now the drink Issue: Ordered 3 times, they got my drink order wrong. First time ordered Vodka & Orange Juice, gave me just Orange juice and Soda. Second time, ordered the same drink, they gave me just Orange Juice. Third time I thought they would give me the correct drink and with the waiter told him Vodka, Cranberry, and Soda . The waiter confirmed, he just gave me Vodka & Cranberry. I gave it to my best friend, as I gave up on the drinks. Never had this happen with other restaurants. Best food, bad drink service. Never again. Dundas is better, in Oakville than Trafalgar.
Best place to go for Sushi and Thai/Japanese food. Their concept of small portions and all you can eat is great. The staff and friend and the food overall is great. Atmosphere is also great and its good for small to medium groups
Great service and delicious food . Our server Sandy was pleasant, helpful and friendly. Would recommend. Food
My husband ended up with a bad case of food poisoning and then we both got the Flu. The one star is for the good customer service. The food was not great and the bathroom needs some help
All you can eat it s terrible. They kept bringing things we didn t order and many items that were supposed to be hot were cold. The first thing they brought was the coconut shrimp that looked a day old and cold. The rolls didn t feel fresh and they were poorly prepared. The cocktails didn t taste good either, poor quality overall. The 2 stars for the service being ok.
Went to this location for dinner, and to be completely honest, this is the WORST location yet. Portioning is absolutely tiny compared to other locations; service is not the best. Overall, if you re looking for a spoon and fork, best locations yet are Dundas (Oakville) and Corner by spoon and fork. The interior looks very dirty and poor. The quality of food was poor as well. However, I did enjoy the sushi. We waited for an order of beef teriyaki and never got it.
Great selection of Japanese/Korean dishes, and excellent presentation, especially for AYCE dining.
Oakville location is really outstanding. I have been to other locations around GTA and its worth driving to Oakville location and have a good time. Compared to other locations, this location is quite on weekends. Food was great and the service crew is amazing. Pretty fast with delivering the food to the table. The vibe is good. The resturant size is perfect. It is not crazy big. I would definitely go back to have all you can eat option. I really like the service. Vegetarian options: All you can eat option has many vegetarian dishes
Order food from this place two days ago. I got the chicken fried rice and beef & broccoli. The following day I started feeling sick. I haven t gotten food poisoning the longest time and this is the worst. Clearly they re not handling their food properly. Never ordering from this place again.
We recently visited this restaurant and had a terrible experience. The manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional when we complained about the quality of the food. Specifically, the fried rice was hard, dry, pre-heated, and clearly not fresh. When we brought this to the managers attention, he responded loudly and embarrassed me by pointing out that many other people were eating there and had not complained. Despite the fact that we did not even eat the rice, the manager refused to take it off the bill. He offered to reduce the cost by half and throw in some vegetarian spring rolls, but we did not want any of it. We simply did not want to pay for something that we did not eat and was not edible. In the end, the manager charged us half the cost of the rice that we did not even touch. We were extremely disappointed with the customer service and lack of empathy shown by the manager. My family and I will never be returning to this restaurant and would advise others to stay away as well.
August 8 is cheaper and better
Poor customer service. Ordered to go and was told the order would be ready for 7:20pm, when I arrived they took my money and they didn t bring my order out until 9:10pm. If they had told me that my order was not ready I would ve gone elsewhere.
Staff was super friendly. Food was good. Vegetarian options: Rolls available for vegetarians. Food : 4/5 |
Spoon & Fork is a great restaurant that has a interesting mix of Thai, Cantonese and Japanese cuisine. This provides a nice mix of options that you do not typically find at the same all you can eat style restaurant. The dishes are all quite good and the service is very quick. Bring an appetite. Vegetarian options: There are some veggie options but limited. If your vegie friend is coming along they wont starve but not vegie focused. Parking: Parking is good. The nearby Tim Hortons can clog up the lot.
Weve visited this restaurant many times before, enjoying good Japanese food The last visit was a disappointment. The food wasnt fresh. The creme brulee was too watery. Food
Amazing food and some of the most professional staff that have ever served us.
Great all you can eat Japanese/ Thai fare. Food is packed with flavour and the service is quick.
Great location compared to other locations service was excellent but the some of the dishes tasted like burnt oil.
I had dinner with my family. Oh was very disappointed. All you can eat but we had 2 main sushi and sashimi in 2 hours. Unlike my order, there were sushi and sashimi that were not provided and the quantity was insufficient from the first time, but I ordered again with the second order, but it was not provided. The second sashimi was served 1/4 the size of the first, and the sushi also had larger rice and half the fish. Disappointed with the food, I no longer have an appetite. Only the server at our table did his best for us. I live near this restaurant but will not use it anymore, nor will I recommend it to my friends
Service is only ok, food good but not perfect. Somewhat expensive but overall ok
Great place, excellent sushi, great value for money. Food quality was very good and everything tasted nice.
Had all you can eat, quality was descent, escargots were just as good as red lobster. the fried stuff was a bit too fried sometimes. Wait staff were excellent, hospitable and polite. The manager though was unfriendly. He brought over food 2x I thanked him and he didn t even respond plus he had this expressionless face. The guy was Chinese, glasses, middle aged. I give 1 star for the manager. 4 stars for food and service
We decided to try the all you can eat option, hoping it would be as good as the a la carte. The portions are small as opposed to other all you can eats in the vicinity. The green shrimp curry stood out. Our waitress was helpful and the orders were out quickly.
Good, kind of expensive for what it is
Loved the food!!!
Great all you can taste menu options. Pricing is very reasonable considering how much it cost for any restaurant food. Staff is always friendly. Their all you can taste menu have great options and their food is delicious. Definitely worth visiting
The food was delicious and the service was great!!
Worst sushi I ve ever had before !!
It s a pretty good AYCE experience. I love the dim sum options on the menu. Food was good and came out pretty quick. Menu seems pretty standard among other Asian AYCE restaurants, but I definitely prefer other establishments like August 8 and East Izakaya. Wouldn t mind returning on occasion or if I happen to be in the area and there aren t other good AYCE options.
Food was great and Allan our server was very personable and accomidating
delicious food
The food selection is great, dimsum/ Thai / Japanese. The food itself is ok, sushi I find it not really fresh compare to the other spoon and fork location in Oakville. Dimsum is good and love the lobster taco
Great place for sushi!
I order from here at least once a month It s my treat I always order the same thing vegetable golden curry today it shows up with chicken it s extremely disappointing when it s not cheap and I have nothing for dinner now Food
Excellent place to dine. Very fast service and the buffet is amazing.
We book the place for a birthday foe 5pm, the manager started calling from 3pm that day for reminder ( so annoying)The manager was so rude throughout the 2 hrs dinner there. I will never recommend the place to any body.
My friend had her birthday dinner here, manager was rude, disrespectful towards us. Asked her to call her friends, soon as she literally came through the door. Seemed like he was upset that it was a group of young black people. Servers were really sweet and polite. Dont waste your money, food was really poor. Manager is rude, he needs a class in customer service.
My group of 9 friends came here for all you can eat lunch and waited 2 hours and a half for any sushi to come out. They kept saying they had a big take out order they had to prioritize so we waited but even after that order was done they still never brought out our sushi. when we brought it up to the manager , he just argued back and didn t even bring out the sushi. we just paid and left but definitely won t be back
Good food. Service was quick. My wife had 2 pieces of grilled salmon and sides for $20. I had a fantastic teriyaki steak for $26. Food
3 of us went to the Trafalgar Rd location for the first time today for lunch. We all had the AYCE option. The range of food choices was excellent and because of the small portion size of many dishes were able to try 20+ different items between us. Out of these there were only a couple not to our taste (pineapple fried rice and Shanghai noodles) and some were excellent (peanut beef, general Tso chicken and coconut rice). We had everything from dumplings to short ribs and left extremely satisfied. The service was friendly and efficient and we felt we received good value for our money. The bill came to around $113 plus tip for 3 adults AYCE weekday lunch with 1 alcoholic drink and 2 juices. Last month we took our parents to August 8 downtown Toronto and it was horrible in comparison and around the same price per person with less food options. I really hope the quality as service remain constant because I look forward to returning and bringing new guests for the experience. Thanks to the staff for making my birthday lunch so enjoyable. Vegetarian options: There were lots of meat dishes but they also had some vegetarian sushi rolls, rice , noodles and tempura options for vegetarians. The menus are posted online for all locations and vary slightly and in fact had extra items not listed online.
When the service is bad, people are kicked out, tips are forced, and beef ribs and beef skewers are often burned.
Great food, even better prices
Stay away if you want to enjoy your meal.... we went for a late lunch (around 1:30 pm)... the waitress was not friendly at all. Then we talked to the man in charge asking for price for a kid just turned 4 a week ago. He didnt even know the price and gave us random numbers (like $10 or $12.5)..... in the end, he even said if you dont want to eat, just leave.... We have heard other comments regarding the bad service at this location, but cannot imagine it is actually this bad So we left without anything. Going to a restaurant for food is not just about filling up, but more to experience the service and environment!!
Parking: Multiple ayce sushi , thai , minor chinese dishes good choice of food all made to order not premade Food
I recently enjoyed their buffet with my two brothers, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. First and foremost, the service at this buffet was unparalleled. Dianas warm and friendly demeanor immediately made us feel welcome and at ease. She was attentive, prompt, and always had a genuine smile on her face. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dining experience. The food itself was absolutely fantastic. Each dish was served fresh, bursting with flavors, and delightfully authentic. What amazed us the most was not only the quality of the food but also the speed at which it was served to our table. We never had to wait long. Absolutely no complaints. A minor thing that really impressed us was how quickly the staff cleared our dirty plates. It seemed as though they were whisked away in the blink of an eye, ensuring that our table was always clean and inviting. Additionally, our glasses of water never went empty a small detail, but one that truly added to the overall excellent service. Overall, all three of us were quite satisfied. We agreed that this might be the best buffet weve had.
Delicious food with lots of variety
When you are willing to drive 2 hours out of your way, you know the food is amazing. Dietary restrictions: Almost anything can be modified to fit your dietary restrictions. They are very accommodating Parking: Both side and back of building Kid-friendliness: My daughter has always loved going here. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance
Absolutely love the place !
Went for lunch with friends to spoon and fork on Trafalgar. When one of the entrees arrived (Bangkok Style Pad Thai), it tasted very off, a very fishy taste. We very politely informed our server that the dish wasn t what we were expecting and the server kindly offered a new dish. A few minutes later, the manager came over very aggressively and showed us the entree that was returned and said you can t just try our food and send it back, do you understand that this has to go in the garbage, we have been making this recipe for 25 years and it s always the same. We did not fight back, and said we will pay for the dish and that we did not want anything else from him. He kept on fighting back aggressively. Not the way customer service should be handled by a manager. After this, the server never showed back up at our table and we had to pay with another server. We will never return due to this experience.
This is one of the best ayce places and now my favorite. The price is unbeatable for an ayce. The selection of food was great, the food came really quick. Big shout out to James, for an amazing service, made our experience very delightful. There really wasnt any negative. I will for sure be returning with friends and family.
Went to this location a couple times before. On several instances, Noticed owner was rude to their own staff. Most recent time I went, we had a reservation for 10. 4 people couldn t make it very last minute so we seated 6 (across the two tables reserved for us thinking at the time of seating, the 4 were still on their way) Manager proceeded to scold me for how there were significantly less people here than on the reservation than made comments about how we took up both reserved tables and to let him know in advance if less of our party was coming. (I had let him know once I was made aware they weren t coming after seating) Manager proceeded to clean up tables around us while muttering about this to no one, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for the remainder of the dinner for our party. Life happens, people bail last minute. But this type of service or reaction is not appropriate. Not coming back again.
good
This has become a go to place to celebrate milestones. The best part is the consistency of the food and cleaniness of the restaurant. I wont say its the best AYCE, but its good and consistently good. The service, though fast, could be friendlier.
Food was delicious and service excellent.
Great Service, Friendly Environment, Fresh Sushi !!
Horrible customer service.
AMAZING place to take the family. Everyone was so friendly. My neice had the best time of all, she struggles to use chopsticks but really wanted to so the waiter actually gave her a kid friendly version so she didnt have the struggle while eating. The food was very fast and great. I was the only vegetarian there but had PLENTY of options. I DEFINITELY recommend. Also plenty of vegan options. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, I had no problem eating and to be honest most of the items were fully vegan and still great. The tofu and tempura broccoli or the bruschetta! Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for people with different restrictions, vegetarian and vegan. If you are gluten free but able to eat fish again many many options available Kid-friendliness: Everyone was so sweet to the kids, ask for the kid friendly chopsticks.
Great Food!! Great service!
The manager Kengi is extremely rude and unprofessional to customers. The food is not worth it for the amount of disrespect that you will endure by him and his entire team. He will interrupt you, point in your face, and even shoosh you while talking.
Terrible customer service, manager is extremely rude. Food tasted like a$&.
Took my Grandson there, and we both really like it, but we ordered too much. We had to pay $5 each to take home food which is crazy. It was pretty expensive for All you can eat though; $125.00 for two of us. I had a glass of wine and he had pop. Parking: It was a busy night, there was limited parking because of bins that took up several spots. Someone just left so I got lucky and found a spot close to the door.
ZERO STARS! I do not recommend eating here. The manager is beyond unprofessional and ridiculously disrespectful towards his customers. His behaviour is appalling. The majority of the staff is miserable as well. The food is mediocre at best. Not worth your money!
Good food, terrible management. My family and I went out for a birthday celebration. We were enjoying the food but we were on a time constraint so we did a large bulk order. As we were eating, the manager comes out (man with short hair cut) and starts scolding and shouting at us, loud enough for other guests to hear. He yelled that we were ordering too fast and that we ll have to pay for the food that we did not eat. Mind you, we had every intention of finishing it all. We felt so embarrassed and sad and ate in silence the rest of the meal. Our waiter (Diana) was nice enough to apologize. She felt bad and offered us candy on the way out. This manager hurt my family and ruined our moment of celebration. I DO NOT recommend coming to this location. Go to the one on Queensway instead. Food was great! Atmosphere can t complain but the manager ruined our experience. Please have this person reviewed. In a professional setting he can at least speak politely that s all we ask.
Good experience, not much you can ask for when it comes to AYCE.
Great food and atmosphere. Come hungry!
Yummy food and friendly service Kenji is THE BEST!! Food
The food was amazing! Very well prepared and fresh. Had us wanting more even after we were all full. And the service was so friendly and welcoming.
The food was ok
They have removed torched (fire) sushi and dynamite shrimp hand roll from the menu. Very easy to make. The menu now is very limited, dinner or lunch doesn t matter anymore. Dinner is more expensive for no reason now nothing more compared to lunch anymore. Hand-rolls are 90% rice! Party of 10, they only give one table to order. Their system is super inefficient, when you place an order, the system is stuck on waiting for someone to confirm and then you can order more. For no reason?!!! Just take the order why does it need confirmation from the other side? They becoming extremely cheap when their prices are over the roof.
Amazing Japanese and Asian food selections. Service is excellent. Attentive waitresses and fast delivery of orders.
Wide selection, a typical Asian style buffet
This place has a very good variety of food and the staff is very attentive to our party. Everything is very well managed because of their use of iPads when taking orders. Everything came out in such a timely manner.
