All you can eat sushi, thai and pasta
Met up with an old friend for lunch and the experience was excellent! Service and quality of the food was fantastic, as always! Highly recommend this location and will definitely be returning! Keep up the great work!
Our family of four dined here on a Saturday night, and our bill totaled $138 before tip. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations given the premium price point. 1. The food was lacking in flavor, and the quality seemed low for the price we paid. It didn’t feel like it matched the value we expected. 2. Service was acceptable but could be improved. The greeting upon arrival felt unfriendly, with a cold welcome from the hostess, which set a poor tone for the evening. 3. While the food arrived promptly, there was no introductory interaction from the staff upon seating us. This lack of engagement made the experience feel impersonal and unwelcoming. 4. Dessert ordering was an inconvenience. The system blocks customers from ordering directly, requiring them to go through a server instead. At this price point, we expected a more seamless experience. 5. The price for children under 8 is particularly high, considering they are unlikely to consume enough to match the cost. A revised pricing strategy for young children would make this more family-friendly. Overall, the food quality and service didn’t feel aligned with the cost. There are many restaurants where we could enjoy better food quality and service for the same price or less. We are unlikely to return, as the experience didn’t meet the standards we were hoping for.
I recently dined at Spoon and Fork and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautifully presented dishes that showed great attention to detail. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each piece practically melting in my mouth. The standout for me was Sashimi (very fresh) and Spicy salmon rool absolutely delicious! The service was also top-notch; the staff was attentive, specially Yan is friendly, and knowledgeable, making great recommendations when I was undecided. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and I left feeling completely satisfied. Highly recommend in Oakville for sushi lovers or anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
They offer a buffet like option called "All You Can Taste" experience. We opted to order a few specific dishes from the menu. The menu is vast, they offer sushi, Thai dishes, grilled meats and Japanese maki. Service was quick and efficient, our server was kind and welcoming. The restaurant has great decor and ambiance. Felt very elegant, great date night option. The food was absolutely delicious. A must try.
My favorite restaurant in Oakville surprised me once again today with its stunning autumn decorations! Not only is the food delicious, but you can also feel the owner's thoughtfulness in every detail of the decor!
First visit here and it was excellent. Food is served quite quickly, is piping hot, tasty and good quality. The staff were friendly and polite even making sure we got our last order in before they stop serving. This is our new favourite AYCE restaurant.
We normally do the buffet which is a great way to try small portions of various dishes. Everything is always fresh and hot without the normal buffet style where everyone touches the same utensils. I did the Thai Curry Fish, very tasty and the perfect spice/heat. Highly recommended.
Such a welcoming local dining experience. Excellent hospitality services, great food, exceptional service. We've dined in recently, Olivia has looked after our family each time with great care. Perfect dining experience to bring the whole family, as food comes to the table fresh and quickly. Sapporo on tap was delightfully crisp and cold! Pleasing atmosphere, very clean. Favorite selection, butter fish sashimi. Highly recommend for cost and quality.
The food here was great, I really enjoyed the red curry chicken! Our server Teresa was very helpful
Had dinner at this location last night! Food was great and service by Teresa was fantastic! Would come again!
I dont really eat this type of food but the food was very good, very fast service and kind workers and ice cream was so good with the good area located.
Olivia is the best
This was a fantastic restaurant! The Trafalgar branch. We had the all you eat and everything we had was delicious and well presented. Jackie was excellent! Thank you Jackie for the amazing service and Sally for your hospitality.
Always excellent food, but often they forget to include all the dishes in the pickup order. We order weekly, so this is not a statistical anomaly, they really cant count dishes in there. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg options Dietary restrictions: Lots and lots of choice, you have to work hard to not find something that will work for you. Parking: The outdoor patio seems to be just for show, because Canada.... Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, especially if they can sit still for more than 5-minutes. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs
Decorated for Christmas, so festive! Service was wonderful, attentive. Fresh plates periodically without asking. Food was good, would go back again for the great service. Food : 4/5
Vegetarian options: Stir fried veggies, veggies tempura, veggie rolls... Food
I like the place similar to their other location without the plus sign, but theres a few tidbits. They have worse music choices for their playlist. Their seats eventually sink into the wooden frame which feels uncomfortable. Their salmon teriyaki is really good, and a main reason why I come back and differentiate it from the other place. The music is also annoyingly loud too, so alongside the playlist quality.. its not a good pairing. Otherwise, the pasta here is alright but I like the other location more.
The service was particularly poor. One waitress just threw dishes all over the table and almost scratched a childs face once. A male waiter typically smiles at Westerners but looks coldly at his compatriots. Will never visit again. Still politely tipped 15%.
Recommended by a friend, we had a family dinner here today at noon. The area is large and well decorated. The taste is great, the sashimi is fresh, the miso soup is authentic, there are a lot of people, but the service is attentive, fast and friendly. Everyone was very satisfied with the meal and will go there again next time. Parking: Ample parking spaces
We re having lunch here today. The curry, sushi, noodles, and everything else are delicious. We ll definitely be back!
This location is consistently great. I order different things and its always delicious. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Oakville, fairly priced, quality ingredients, and flavourful and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant. My recent order 14115 was peppercorn noodles with beef, calamari, and wonton soup. Thank you.
Personally I cant recommend based solely on the food performance. Cooked dishes were varied in quality, yes the appetizers came out great. But when we moved onto the mains things were lacking. Sushi was average in flavor, which is not something that is supposed to be bland. Then pasta and rice dishes had chicken gristle, and were similarly bland is flavor profile. Typically, when you go out for Japanese you expect bold Umami flavor, and instead I got a beer glass with lipstick on it. I only hope the woman to had the beer before me had a better meal. We still tipped and didnt complain because thats the Canadian thing to do.
my boyfriend and I came here for his birthday dinner. The service was great - both fast and attentive - and the food was amazing.
Delicious and nutritious!
As always , I loved this place , the food and the services.
Great service, come to celebrate birthday for my family members, Food is fresh and great, highly recommend!!
Delicious food and very friendly service.
great one
Good food Waitress automatically included a tip on POS with no option to adjust (dinner for 4). Because of that they lost me for life. I m sure she does it all the time. Gutter mentality you re better than that.
My family and I went to Spoon & Fork on Oct 12th, it was Saturday in a long weekend. We tried Salmon Sashimi, Kimichi Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Toufu, Spicy California Roll, Miso soup, all of these foods are amazing, very delicious. Yan and Jenny provide us high level service, they are kind, polite, agile and professional. I would definitely come again with my friends and I would like to give them a big thumbs up.
Spoon and fork is one of my favourite sushi places, however, I went to this location for the first time last night and the salmon sashimi was so chewy and a weird texture. Very unfortunate since dinner is $$$. I also had a stomach ache all night. Very disappointed.
Service was fantastic. Great variety of different AYCE options and fast service that doesnt make you feel rushed. Great place for large or small groups. Will go back again
Great option for the food. Staff really friendly. Food always fresh and delicious.
Delicious, fresh, made to order sushi and all Japanese food fare with an extensive menu.
Atmosphere and service was very nice but the food was very mediocre and not the greatest. Some of the items tasted burnt and smokey not in a good way. If the food has better flavor it would be an amazing spot but unfortunately very overrated.
The service are bad
Been going to these restaurants for many years. Our visit to this location was our first time having a terrible experience at one of these restaurants. The food was terrible, many of the dishes tasted and smelt bad, service was slow, and we had to ask several times for sauces. The majority of the chicken dishes were off and we sent many back untouched. After seeing how the chicken dishes were we were to nervous to order any sushi. One of us had to leave the table to go get Pepto because the food made him feel so sick. What a waste of money.
We order sushi tray , Thai dumpling & pad Thai sushi was ok not great dumpling was so so but pad Thai went straight to the garbage it was smelly couldn t eat very disappointed
I have been to this location and the Mississauga location in the past. Today I went with my boyfriend for lunch. We decided to go with the AYCE option. It s a Tuesday 230pm. It s not very busy we order our dishes and everything has little to no taste. The Miso soup literally tasted like warm water, I ordered a number of fried items crispy beef, sesame chicken. They tasted like they were under a heat lamp since this morning. They were dry and chewy. The final nail in the coffin was when our waitress tried to set down a plate next to my ginger ale. The gingerly spilled into the plate. She was visibly annoyed, she change out sheet of paper that lines the table but left the plate with soaked cheese wontons and spring rolls. I brought this to someone who seemed to be supervising, I let him know I was unhappy and I wanted my bill. I told him everything he was like do all this food is not good with an attitude. They took sometime to bring our bill we were charged in full for everything . I didn t even drink my drink. The waitress spilled it. Won t be coming back. Pretty upset I wasted my time and money today.
Ive been ordering take out for years from this place, but on Monday the Shrimp Pad Tai came in a container that was half the usual size and I counted 3 shrimp in the entire dish. The price has not changed. Shame on you Spoon & Fork!!
I am surprised by how much traffic this place gets and by all the positive reviews. My honest opinion is that if youre looking for an all you can eat Asian restaurant dont come here. I came here to try their sushi and for the price, this place lacks the quality or polish youd expect. Spicy tuna sushi is literally canned tuna on rice wrapped with soggy seaweed, it was so poorly constructed that if I was the chef if be embarrassed to serve it. The sashimi looks like it was cut with a blunt blade, cuts were not cleanly made. I was scared off their sushi/sashimi and tried their cooked food and their Asian food is typical westernised Asian food. If I were you, Id rather go to KB sushi or August8. Truthfully, this place feels like a place targetted at people who dont know what Asian food is. I would have given 1 star but the service was decent.
First time stopping by and this place was fantastic. Kudos to Anne for the exceptional service and for being so hospitable. She was so sweet and accommodating! I look forward to hopefully being served by Anne again!
Avoid Spoon and Fork Terrible Experience from Start to Finish We decided to celebrate my dads birthday at Spoon and Fork, inviting some close family friends to join us. What was supposed to be a special night turned into a disaster thanks to the incompetence and rudeness of the staff. Right from the beginning, there was a complete lack of communication. Two people in our group had specifically called ahead to confirm that they would be ordering off the menu instead of going with the all-you-can-eat option. You d think remembering a simple request for just two people would be easy, but apparently not for Spoon and Fork. The staff insisted on separating them from the group, moving them across the room to avoid confusion. How this makes sense is beyond me. As someone who s worked as a server, I know how to manage groups much larger and more complicated than this, and I ve never seen such a ridiculous demand made of customers. The service that followed was just as bad. Drinks were mispoured, and the servers seemed indifferent at best, as if doing the bare minimum was too much to ask. But the worst part was the bill. Every person in our party was automatically charged a 15% tip. Yes, the iPad mentioned it, but forcing a tip upfront for service that was far from satisfactory is just plain wrong. It felt like they knew the service would be bad and wanted to secure their tip before we had a chance to react. When we pointed out how absurd the automatic tipping was given the awful service, the staff became downright rude. They told us we didn t have to tip, but the whole situation was beyond frustrating. I can t help but think of those who might not have the confidence to speak up they d be stuck paying for service that doesn t deserve a dime. If you value good service and respect as a customer, do yourself a favor and avoid Spoon and Fork. This was one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had, and I wouldn t wish it on anyone. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that actually care about their customers this isn t one of them. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.
Sashimi, escargot and mango pudding were great. Even better when it is cousin and family treat.
we were a group of 17 Friends Gathering up for a birthday. Two of us did not want the buffet one because of medical reasons in me because I don t need that much. For that reason they want us two To sit at a different table away from my friends. We ended up sitting at the other side of the table to be able to order from the menu Food wasn t great and service was terrible
Expensive but a worthwhile treat for an occasional place to eat at. Wife wanted to go for her birthday. Cost around $200 for a familiy of five but at least everyone got to sample what they wanted. Unique place to eat at.
First time visiting this location, it was fantastic. We ordered all you can taste so that we could try different items on the menu and it was great. Would highly recommend. Great Service and courteous staff...keep it up
Not bad, but the manger is very rude
Best Thai food I ve had in a long time, and the prices are good considering the portion size and quality of service. Green curry was delicious!
Sushi left a very bad taste in my mouth and stomach. Before Covid I had the same, all you can taste, with birthday cake, very delicious. Maybe the management has changed hands.
Must be old photo, cause this resturants decor was cheap plastic tulips. So expensive for what you get. Solo diner, no drink, 50.00 plus tip. Not worth it.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today was a beautiful sunny day! My family and I wanted to sit on the patio...but the person at the reception told us there are not enough people to open the patio!..this was rude and unprofessional !! Who wants to be enclosed inside on a sunny day! Atmosphere
My sashimi addiction was confirmed at this restaurant. I also recommend trying the dish Black Truffle Sacchetti and Crazy roll! Food : 5/5
Some local authority needs to check this place out. It s showing clear signs of a toxic and abusive management - we genuinely had to ask one of the employees what s wrong and the employee teared up immediately. All the servers are angry, rude, and throwing the plates on the tables. They are exhausted and have signs of being over worked. I and everyone I know will never return to this establishment EVER. Terrible service, terrible atmosphere, and half the things you order won t actually arrive. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. The management should be looked into. Half the employees were on the verge of tears.
the food was okay the staff was great i didnt like the containers they serve the food in Food
One of the best all you can eat restaurants I enjoyed, everything was perfect.
Loved the service, my daughter and I came here to get some sushi. Our lovely server was so kind to make my little one a kids chopstick! This is so cool, and will be with me for everytime we go out to get sushi.
Good food. Will come back again.
Excellent spot, great food and fast, friendly and efficient service.
Food was excellent; especially the tender beef and chicken, with their respective sauces. The service was polite and swift. The music and atmosphere was fine. Highly reccomend as a weekday lunch spot.
Sushi was made of low quality rice, sticky. There were 4of us, we only ordered 5 pieces of sashimi which took very long to serve, then our second order of Sashimi was not made to the table at all because someone forgot - apparently the most expensive item turned to be missed.
A little pricey but so many great dishes to try. Beef is always very tender, snow mountain is a favourite, and their green and red curries are really good too.
This place has changed quite a bit. We used to come here when they first opened, and we loved the food as well as the service. This time, I noticed that when we just got there, and nit even sat down yet , they kind of tried enticing us to take a mixed platter first, which consists of fried appetizers, which was not in our favor. Parking: Its a big mall area with lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Its kid friendly too. They had high chairs as well as booster chairs. And the food was very good for kids too. Wheelchair accessibility: All settings are also wheelchair accessible too.
This was the third time I visited this restaurant. It is a nice place to enjoy sushi, they a lot of options and variety. The appetizers and sushi are amazing, my only concern is the chicken. The chicken has a rancid taste for all chicken dishes mainly the chicken with sauce!
Been here a few times. We really loved it at first but the service and quality seems to be getting worse every time we go.
Absolutely blown away by this place. We typically go to the Spoon and Fork on Trafalgar. However, they are really going through it right now. My family begged for me to leave a review. Food was hot and everything was fresh. We went during a busier period and not only was our table ALWAYS loaded with food; it was gone too quickly. (You would think that we learn by now). They replaced our plates twice throughout the night for cleaner plates which is honestly a game changer. Swapping out a soy sauce coated soup plate so you can start on the 58 Crabmeat Wontons is an absolutely game changer. Servers were great with refills and clearing empty dishes. We didnt even have time to help stack them. They had built in gratuity of 15% which I honestly would give more. We all talked about the food when we got home and the unforgettable service. AND THE CHICKEN SATAY!!!! Perfectly grilled with a tangy and sweet tone to it. The best Ive had.
Good AYCE sushi place. Serve sashimi during lunch menu service
The food is nice especially the kimchi fried rice, it might be the best in Oakville. I will be back again. Parking: Parking is easy, just in front of the restaurant.
Tacky decor Served me food with my gfs allergen in it and asked her is she wanted to eat it Watered down ice tea Food : 3/5
I went here for the night of Eid, and it was way better then I expected at all. It was probably the best all you can eat Japanese buffet. They had everything from sushis, tempura, Fried sea food, sashimi, salads, and more. And the staff was very kind and friendly.
don t order any of the pasta
Extremely Disappointed. As a regular customer, I feel sad to say that we will never visit the place ever again. The food quality has gone down to basement, I hope You take care of the Kitchen.
The food quality has significantly degraded, this place is no good. Please hire another chef or training is needed as the food was stale and not tasty at all. Overpowering of sauces and salt was experienced during my visit, I hope that food quality matches the extravagant infra structure. #Disappointed
Food is amazing but service is awful. Our server was rude and disrespectful. Ruined our special event. Highly don t recommend this location but Oakville location servers are good and food is amazing.
PLEASE WRITE A 0 STAR REIVEW AND NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! WE WENT TO EAT AT SPOON & FORK PLUS ON NEYAGAWA/DUNDAS AND THE SERVER 1ST ASKED IF HE WAS 6 OR 7 I SAID GO AHEAD AUDREY TELL HER HOW OLD YOU ARE, SHE SAYS 8 AND THE SERVER SAYS TO ME IS IT A BOY I SAID EXCUSE ME? SHES MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER AND THE SERVER SAYS THATS A GIRL?? SHE LOOKS LIKE A BOY!!!!!! YOU LOOK LIKE A BOY TO AUDREYS FACE!!! I TOLD HER THAT WAS RUDE AND UNACCEPTABLE AND WE GOT UP AND WALKED OUT THE MANAGER DID NOT CARE. HE SHUGGED HIS SHOULDERS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND NO EXCUSE TO THIS! I am so livid and devastated for my baby! And still in shock. Please spread the word to all your social media accounts and leave a review and please never give that place your money.
Food is delicious. Very small portions for all you can eat, which is perfect for trying a bunch of different things. Large menus with many delicious options from sushi, wok, pasta and more!
This is the second location of Spoon & Fork I have been to. Perhaps if I had not been to the one at Heartland, my expectations for this location would not have been so great and Id leave a more favourable review. Everything was...okay. it was busy but not overcrowded. Food came quickly and was warm. Its just the variety - especially for a Saturday evening - was lacking (in comparison to the Heartland location).
Love coming here when I wanna unwind or just do a take out order. The 10% cash discount on take out is probably my favorite thing. Great portions for the price!
3rd time I ordered through Skip the Dishes. The food was the worst. They have done better in the past. They used to be a great restaurant. I will never spend money there again.
There is a delay in serving
Dined there 8 February 2024. Very clean. Great variety of food. Excellent tasting. Presented beautifully. Friendly staff. First time going but will return.
Always a stellar experience and the food is awesome! Spicy Basil Chicken
Pretty good sushi. Fast service.
Very slow food service and small portions make for a slow and long evening with hungry children.
Great place for open suchi However, you can lose track of what you ordered so they will charge you for excess I think they need to work on their order system At a point when we ordered several rounds of Salmon Sashimi we felt the manager coming to our table few times checking if we need anything else
Amazing place! The best sushi all you can eat we have tried .the basil shrimp fried rice is wow!!!! Loved it!!!!
The food is amazing here. If your family loves sushi except for one person, there is also Italian food. I recommend coming here for a family dinner. Can t wait to go back!
Great sushi and other dishes, awesome lunch prices for all you can eat. Ginger honey tea is the best. Food
Very good sushi buffet .
Rude staff and poor customer service. Also, the food was not worth the price. I would give them minus 10 rating for the negligence in food quality and absolutely below par customer service.
Came here with my family for the first time as we usually go to mississauga location, but heard the menu here is better to try it out. We were extremely disappointed. The food was horrible, tasteless, oily and bland. Even the desserts were lacking here. Servers were awkward and kept interrupting us. We will definitely not be returning here or recommending it to anyone. The mississauga location is the best and has amazing food. So disappointed and a waste of money.
Food is very disappointing. Not worth the money. Not recommended.
Very nice and have variety of food.
Great sushi
Attended a birthday dinner there. It was a great dining experience
Good place for a team dinner
Very fast and good service with amazing food and atmosphere.
Picked up General Tao Chicken for Takeout. Half of the chicken was deep fried dough with no chicken inside it. Very disappointing! Wont be going back.
All sashimi are not fresh, stale, thin cut, very poor quality. The soy sauce & wasabi mixed up with water, it s ridiculous
First time here, it was great! Had a wide variety of options outside of the usual ayce sushi restaurant, at a competitive price! Will be back for dinner next time.
The concept of spoon & fork plus intrigued me. I went here for lunch with my sisters because they advised that there are small pasta plates in their all you can eat. The booths are large and comfortable and the service was friendly. Its traditional iPad ordering but employees brought food promptly and refilled drinks regularly. The food options are random so they do not compliment each other well. I was excited by the Asian noodle options and the portion sizes were perfect but I was disappointed in the smoked salmon gnocchi. I think the smoked salmon should have been served chilled on top maybe with some capers. Was not a fan of warmed smoked salmon. Also the sashimi and roll options were limited but the price was fair. This place would be good for a birthday when people have different food interests.
Great food and great service, the whole family really enjoyed dinner.
As a vegetarian, I really appreciate quite a few items on the menu and consistency in taste and freshness of food. My favorite - Maki rolls with various vegetables and Thai curries with tofu. The servers are very friendly and always bring us extra ginger for our maki rolls. I wish they had more vegetarian soup choices as well as alternate source of protein such as tempeh. It gets a bit noisy towards dinner times and weekends for seating that is quite close so if you dont like loud places choose off times and you cant go wrong with this place if you are craving for good Japanese or Thai food. Vegetarian options: Decent options but wish for them to expand and include more protein choices and quantity in their curries and noodles.
My wife and I visited the Spoon and Fork location at 478 Dundass street yesterday with our two kids for a family lunch. Having never dined in the restaurant before we were extremely pleased with the pleasant atmosphere, the super friendly staff, fast service, menu selection and quality of food. You guys do a great job. We will definitely be back again! Parking: Lots of parking spots Kid-friendliness: The staff here are super friendly and engaged with our toddler making her visit fun.
The ambiance, fresh delicious foods and the services were excellent, its highly recommended but needs reservation, this place is very busy especially on the weekends.
10 out of 10, they kept the food taste consistent, not like many buffet are cutting back on their ingredients, lacking taste and charges the same high price. Spoon and Fork is worth every penny that we spent lunch or dinner. Love this place, I must say its one of the best if not the best sushi buffet restaurant in the GTA.
Very little selection, the server kept pushing drinks. Let me look at the menu, please. So many other restaurants to choose from.
This is similar to an all you can eat buffet but everything is made fresh to order. So you choose from the menu and then it gets prepared and comes to the table. Staff are friendly and service is quick. When they first opened at this location I would give them 5 stars because the food was awesome. We been a fair number of times now and they are starting to lose their quality. A few items were not available that were on the menu like the clam chowder and smoke crab rolls. But still a good deal for a la carte. I will still go and fill up on my favorite escargot. Edit 2023 : Still a favorite for us. They have now adopted a digital ordering system. You now order from a tablet. Fairly straight forward and easy enough for most of us to use. Staff are very helpful if you have questions. If you are hungry and Love a variety, this place will not disappoint. Kid-friendliness: There is something for everyone here. Mac n Cheese is delicious Wheelchair accessibility: This is in a strip mall so parking access varies depending on how busy it is at the time you arrive.
You really cant go wrong. Great food, great selection.
Great all you can eat restaurant. Lots of options and decent quality.
Really great food there. The service is amazing and make you laugh all the time. Since we went on fathers day, it was busy and I suggest you go at less busy times like the weekdays. The only reason why Im giving it a 4 is the seaweed was really hard and tough. Seaweed is supposed to be hard but really crunchy. Overall this was a great place and would go back.
The service was absolutely excellent! My boyfriend is gluten free and the manger personally took his order for him. Making sure he was able to enjoy food with the rest of us. Will 100% be going back!
Good food nothing special. Service was good. But their were flies and they landed on my food.
This is by far the worst place to enjoy any meal. Food is bad (questionable quality at best), service is atrocious, flies everywhere and definitely overpriced. AVOID at all cost
Food tasted stale and there were flies everywhere. The other location in Oakville is far better than this one.
I ve been to this location for birthdays, Christmas parties.. etc. Food was always great... Not sure what happened food was horrible!! Server was great!
Great place to eat great food and service...
I don t usually tip Resturant s but this all you can eat resturant deserved every bit of it, servers always checked for my water, dirty plates, napkins and how I m doing. Food was delicious as they had lots of variety and one of the few in Ontario that serves salmon sashimi during lunch! This is my new favourite all you can eat resturant for salmon sashimi! Bonus 10% off if you pay in cash!
They guilt you if you dont finish every single bite of food and threaten to charge you. Sometimes you dont like what you ordered but you have to eat it anyway
We ordered from Al - a Carte menu over the lunch time. It was an average wait time - approx10-15 mins. We walked in about 1:30 pm .Restuarant was not very busy for a Tuesday afternoon time. For a dine in ,we placed an order for Alfredo chicken pasta, Thai basil chicken fried rice and one curry with pineapple, coconut and chicken ( do not remember the exact name of the dish) .Spring rolls were served at the beginning . Followed by soup . I d recommend miso soup. This was followed by lunch . Portions were good enough . The lady waiter was not clear when speaking hence took away one star . It was not very audible and very clear what she was communicating . Washrooms were clean . We walked out of the resturant at 2:30 pm . Kid-friendliness: Have not seen any kids high chair around at that point of time.
Its not the same as it use to be. Just a lot of rice & noodles
I eat at least once a month at spoon and fork plus food is always great.
The lady at the front desk was rude and rushing people. I think they can do a better job than that.
This is the first time we are here, some of the food are not fresh at all! And the owner is disaster! Try to educate anybody . Bad experience!
A favorite place for our family to eat at. Great variety to choose from, even for picky eaters. We ordered the standard all you can eat lunch menu. It did include some sashimi. We went for lunch on a Friday. It was not busy, so the service was quick and accurate. We plan on keeping this location in our rotation of dining places. Cost was typical for this type of dining.
One of the best all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants I ve been to. It s definitely on the pricier side, but the food is quality. I appreciate the individual sized portions. The peanut sauce dumpling was fantastic, as well as the spicy salmon roll. The atmosphere is fantastic.
There are many Asian fusion restaurants out there, and even more all-you-can-eat joints, but Spoon & Fork is the only one that combines both so perfectly. Instead of stuffing their menu with endless items, they limit the menu to a handful of top picks from each category. This ensures a high turnover rate in fresh ingredients. Even the lunch menu includes items like sashimi and escargot, which I havent found offered anywhere else on an all-you-can-eat lunch menu. Add the curry dishes, the fried rice and Thai noodle dishes, yakitori and teriyaki, and youre starting to get the full picture. The dinner menu, of course, is far more extensive. Food quality is consistently high. I found the crispy beef a bit on the dry side, but each of the other two dozen items brought to our table was just right, and presentation was lovely. The place itself is nicely arranged into booths for a quiet, semi-private dining experience, but also has open space to accommodate larger groups (but call ahead if its more than six people!). The large windows provide plenty of natural light, and carpets ensure its not too noisy even when busy. A small patio facing the parking lot is open during the summer. One decent domestic and two import beers are available on tap, and several more bottled. Wine list is impressive, and the bar looked well stocked. Service is friendly and attentive, happy to offer advice and recommendations to first-timers or those looking to experiment with the diverse menu. They dont use the iPad ordering system they do in their other locations, and occasionally you might get an order duplicated, but their diligent staff will be happy to fix things. Prices are reasonable, considering how much you get for what you pay. Parking is ample, and wheelchair access is easy. 2023 update: They now use the iPad ordering system, which makes things easier and error-free.
I have been going to this place for a very long time. I always had a bad experience with the staff. First of all it s very hard to understand their accent other than that they are very rude. Last time we went on dinner and the waitress who served us was very rude. She served us well at first but when I tipped her less than her expectations she told me never to do that again as it hurts. Rather than being thankful she told me to never do that again. Aren t tips to be given with happiness rather than pressure. Never going back again.
Probably the worst Asian fusion food I ve had.
We go here often and tonight was exceptional! Great team work. Server had great suggestions and food came to table hot.
Decent food and good price.
We had the all you can eat dinner. We ordered the food and drinks on tablets. Everything came VERY quickly. Our kids enjoyed the Mac n Cheese, my husband loved the sushi rolls, and I loved the spring rolls. Very expensive, but aligned with other all you can eat restaurants. Kid-friendliness: The waitress brought our sons a tiny contraption that went on the chop sticks making it easier and fun for them to try
Delicious food and wonderful staff. Been here multiple times and the food it s always a wonderful night!
Reasonably priced all-you-can-eat menu with a plethora of high-quality options, including some for those less seafood inclined. Fantastic service, great atmosphere.
Family lunch, wasnt feeling like having thai but everyone else wanted thai. I made the regretful decision of ordering pasta. Never again. The 10 bundle pasta was awful. Sauce tasted like mayo. No truffle taste at all. Cheap on the cheese. No cheese taste. Horrible lunch experience. Food
My family had ayce dinner. The service was great but the food was ok. The avocado was not ripe enough and it was crunchy inside our sushi and handrolls. The beef short ribs were also very chewy and hard to eat.
Where do I begin? From the decor of the restaurant, friendly customer service, beyond excellent food this restaurant get 5 stars all around. You ve made my second year of Marriage anniversary truly remarkable. Would recommend to anyone at anytime
We use to go frequently and both the food and service where delivery at a level that you would expect to be paying for. Our most recent visit was met with food quality that was subpar at best and service was very transactional. On top of which one of the people at our party ended up getting sick. Needless to say we will not be returning to this restaurant
Never coming back. The service is very slow, they kept bringing wrong order. All hot dishes were almost cold. Sushi had too much rice and cheap ingredients. Not worth money paid
Spoon and Fork was always our go-to place for all you can eat. However, today s experience was very sad. The food quality dropped significantly. Pad Thai noodles weren t cooked, solid hard. Teriyaki chicken was undercooked. All the pasta dishes were bland. Sushi has no seasoning on the rice. Hot and sour soup was bland. Every stir fried dish is soaked with huge amount of corn starch. It was very disappointing. Not to mention that while we are eating there, there are so many fruit flies and big black flies flying around the restaurant. It really wasn t a good experience as you always have to fan off the flies from touching your food. The restaurant was quite empty for lunch, and there are only two staffs. It s very hard to get their attention. After we went home, we don t feel well at all. Super bloated and upsetting stomach.
Nice place. Plenty of good variety on the all you can taste menu. Food and service were good, and we really enjoyed our time there :)
If you like Wind or East then this is very comparable! Though I will say there is a larger menu. Vegetarian options: There were definitely things here a vegetarian can have. Parking: Located in a large plaza.
Went for dinner with my family tonight. We did the all you can eat sushi. Weve been there a number of times, and the food is always amazing. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is quite good. Definitely a go to place. We will be back.
Good
We just moved to Oakville from Montreal. All was great at this restaurant - we met with the owner for the first time, super welcome coming
Their lunch menu easily tops many other AYCE places and I ve been to a fair share ! What sets them apart in my opinion is that they have less common items like Bruschetta, Escargot, Black Truffle Sacchetti, and Sashimi (?!) is also rare for a lunch menu too!! I really hope they keep these items. The quality of everything was great every time I visited. They have their menus online - go see for yourself. There isn t really a dessert menu which isn t a deal breaker for me but they only had two soft serve flavours and a mango pudding last I went. Eating out is getting pricier but this is one of my favourite spot to get lots of my cravings satisfied at a very reasonable price point (prices are also on their website and is accurate - I paid $31.99 for a Saturday lunch).
Foos is great and staff is very friendly. Highly recommend lots of options and perfect size portions.
Used to come here once every couple of weeks but wont be going back any time soon. The quality of food and service has dropped dramatically. The ipad ordering is great but it means that all servers wont even talk to you at all they just come over type a bit and then walk away. The food has really gone downhill as well. Whoever runs the noodle station needs to be retaught everything, it comes out undercooked every time and bland. Its really disappointing as the food used to be great. They have also removed some items from the lunch menu that were some of the best they had. For the price you pay, you are much better off to go somewhere where they care about the quality of food and service.
Wonderful place.
Im beyond disappointed to write this review as I used to frequent this place very often and loved coming here when food and service was at the quality youre paying for, but after my most recent visit with service feeling worse than transactional and food being subpar at most, I will be no longer returning or supporting them. I was appalled by their disgusting practices when they coerced me into leaving a tip for a party of two, despite no such requirement being mentioned anywhere. Whats ironic is that Im someone who always tips generously. However, the service I received on this occasion was far from satisfactory, making it an experience that didnt warrant even a single extra dollar on top of their already overpriced all-you-can-eat pricing. I entered with a coupon offering a $50 discount on a $100 purchase, yet nowhere on the coupon was there a mention of a mandatory 15% gratuity, a policy stated only for parties of more than 6 on the menu. There was no indication, especially for parties of 2. Their service was so lacking that they didnt even deserve a single dollar of gratuity. The final bill fell short by almost $17 compared to the regular price, offering no genuine savings. I felt utterly disappointed, as I believed I was making a cost-effective choice, only to realize I had been misled by being coerced into leaving gratuity. Our recent visit to this once-excellent establishment was marred by a shocking decline in both service and quality. The server displayed a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy, ignoring us and exhibiting a dismissive attitude throughout our meal. Its disheartening to witness the downfall of a place that was once synonymous with perfection, now tarnished by its newfound popularity. The deterioration in service, coupled with misleading coupons, forced gratuity, and an overall lack of care for customer feedback, has transformed what was once a delightful dining experience into a regrettable one. The managements apparent indifference to customer concerns only adds to the disappointment, underscoring a distressing lack of commitment to maintaining the standards that once made them successful.
Everything was good here
This place is absolutely awful for enjoying any meal. The service was terrible and the price was definitely overpriced.
Had an AYCE lunch. So far so good. Got a sliced cake for the kid birthday.
Always tasty and friendly staff!!!
Discovered the perfect spot for a cozy date night - Spoon & Fork Plus in Oakville. Picture this: an all-you-can-eat haven featuring Japanese-Thai delights. From starters to sushi, grills to curries, there are over 25 options to dive into. What blew me away was the modern touch - each table flaunting an iPad for us to pick and choose. Ordering became a breeze, and we could take our sweet time enjoying the evening. Now, lets talk service. The folks here know how to treat you right. They cater to vegetarians as well as non vegetarians all at a fixed price. Sure, it leans a bit towards the pricey side, but its the kind of place you want for those extra special occasions. Despite an absence of dessert menu, they serve complimentary ice cream. Green tea ice cream, my new obsession! Our server even hooked us up with an extra serving, and I cant thank them enough. What makes Spoon & Fork Plus stand out? Its the thoughtful portion sizes that let you explore a bit of everything. Pro tip: Dive into the chefs specials options; you wont be disappointed. We documented our feast with pics and a video - youve got to see the variety to believe it. Vegetarian options: Please check their website for vegetarian menu options or ask your servers for best recommendations!
Good venue and lots of parking. Its pretty busy from the afternoon to evening. Food selection is great, but some food are pretty salty.
My go-to ayce sushi spot! The food is very consistently good everytime I come. Service varies depending on how busy it is. They ve definitely upped their prices over the years, I remember when weekday lunch used to be $19.99! Their decor is always on points such great ambiance. I love coming here, hopefully their prices don t keep increasing!
Fantastic food! Some of the best Thai food Ive had in the GTA!! 5 stars!!! Will absolutely come back!
I called for a takeout order and the person who answered was very inpatient and rude. I asked questions about the dishes and his responses were short with an angry tone. I went to pick up the order and the person who checked me out must have been the same person who took the order - no greeting and a cold angry attitude. No tip for this horrible service and will not be returning.
Been there many times delicious food as always! $$$$ Food : 4/5
Good . fast service .quick in and out Vegetarian options: 1 vegetarian in our group . selection was good Food : 4/5 |
Vegetarian options: Thai curry, sushi, edamame...are awesome Kid-friendliness: There is a waitress Olivia who always gives our kids complimentary ice cream at the end. Overall there is a lot of empathy for families with kids. Food : 5/5 |
Love this place. Food is really good
Went to this location for my work party. The food is delicious. The service was good. Nice atmosphere. We had a great time!
Amazing Ambience, nice food and service.
Really good vibe and food was amazing will go again
Will never be back to this location. The Christmas decor was great and staff were friendly, but the food and options were bad. Sushi and Pad Thai were not good. Lacking vegetable options, and no classic dessert options that you would expect for the price.
