Laylak Oakville in Oakville

We ordered the trio dip, tabouleh, beef kibbeh, cheese sticks, octopus, brazino and the mahalabia. Our group also ordered the date cake for the table to share. Abdullah was very helpful in explaining our menu to us and providing recommendations. The trio dip was a group favourite, the kibbeh was crunchy and soft all at once, the cheese sticks were excellent with the drizzle of honey, octopus was very meaty, brazino cooked very well, and the mahalabia is surprisingly not as sweet. The date cake is also nice and moist! As a diabetic, would recommend! As the food is not as starch forward, and the mahalabia has no rice, and with a small bite of the date cake, at the end of the night, I was sitting at an 8.2 but dropped quickly!

Very distinctive Lebanese flavor. My favorite drinks are rose syrup and Jallab. The desserts are good, the kids like big chunks of meat. Recommended roast lamb, lamb leg and beef cheek. The amount of For Two is really not very big.

Oakville GEM. This restaurant is an oasis, the atmosphere, service and quality of food exceeded any expectation I had. They were incredibly hospitable, and I will be returning in the future to explore more of their diverse menu. Chef menu came with so many options, it was a perfect way to experience the restaurant.

Dining at Laylak Lebanese Cuisine was an incredible experience! The moment we stepped in, we were embraced by the delightful aroma of spices. The mezze platter was an excellent choice to start, with a perfect assortment of dips and appetizers that appealed to all of our tastes. I especially enjoyed the falafel; it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Laylak is a fantastic spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Cant recommend it enough!

The food was average (some good) but doesn t justify the price tag. The ambience is amazing. The server however was very uninterested and it showed. She got the appetizers and mains at the same time no questions asked. The mains were reheated so the shrimp and falafel became a little dry and lost their crispness. Our drinks came later and had to ask for them (they forget probably). It was my wife s birthday and it wasn t the evening i expected, considering what we ended up paying. Could have ordered through an iPad and that might have been better.

The food was phenomenal. We had the kefta kebab, lamb tenderloin, grape leaves, and some dips. The highlight was definitely the fattoush salad. The service was excellent as well - our server Abby took very good care of us and the owner came in to personally check on us. Took one star off from the atmosphere because the music was quite loud and we requested for them to turn it down on two occasions. Besides that, it was great.

My family had a very pleasant experience, starting from when we got in to when we left with very full bellies. Our server, Abby, had every intention to provide excellent service and was very good with our son. Now, onto the food. Oh.. my.. goodness. If youve ever tried typical babagaboush or toum, completely erase what you know because these dips are honestly some of the best Ive ever had. The flavours culminate into this very complex aromatic blissful experience in your mouth. I have never been so on the verge of happy tears as when I came here. Of course, I was super hungry when I came here so that does affect my opinion but I doubt anybody would disagree that the food here is delicious as heck. My first time here but I intend to come back to try everything on the menu. If youre willing to experiment and try new foods, do it here. You will not be disappointed! Kid-friendliness: We brought our son to the restaurant and had a great time. As most parents know, its difficult to manage children while eating; with regards to that, Abby was very friendly and kept our son entertained with her waves and smiles. He was content throughout the whole of our meal!

The mix grill was so bad

I was really looking forward to dining here, but the food was a major letdown. Everything we ordered was bland and lacked any real flavor. The main dish was overcooked and dry. It felt like no effort was put into seasoning or presentation. For the price, I expected a much better experience. I don t think I ll be coming back or recommending it to others.

We had a great date night out at Laylak! I had been to the Toronto location before and was so happy the one in Oakville was just as good. We enjoyed the beetroot labneh salad, halloumi, kibbeh, and moghrabieh. They have beautiful and very tasty mocktails, and an extensive menu of wine and other cocktails. A great place for a special occasion or date night out!

Choose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Never been before and was delighted with the experience. Friends came from 30 minutes to 2 hrs away to join, and all raved about it saying they would be back. Why? From the moment we arrived the staff were engaged, kind, helpful, courteous, and overdelivered on service . Left us feeling like VIPs. We choose the suggested sample menu to be served family style allowing us to try many of the restaurants offerings and there was not one dish that we did not enjoy. It was all amazing, tasty and artfully presented. The atmosphere was inviting, cozy and embracing. I left there feeling like I had eaten at a friend s restaurant, well looked after and not wanting to leave. So grateful, it was exceptional and I will be back again and again. If you re looking for a great option for date night, for family diner, for cocktails with friends, I could not recommend an option better to try and make your new favorite option!

Nice place with nice atmosphere

Food here is excellent!! They have tons of vegetarian options and each dish was so flavorful - I can t wait to come back for brunch! Especially lots of options for vegetarians who don t eat eggs. Their cheese rolls were incredible and had truffle honey- to die for. Halloumi was another standout - I m not exaggerating when I say this was the best halloumi I ve ever had at any restaurant (or homemade). It was crispy on the outside but soft and melty inside, and the flavor/quality of the cheese was unmatched. The sundried tomatoes on the plate perfectly complimented it. We tried all the dips, they were all excellent - each one better than the last. I didn t like the whole wheat pita would have preferred a white flour pita but that s just personal preference; it was still well made. The vegan kibbeh was also delicious! Vine leaves & potatoes great too. Their tamarind mocktail was a little too sweet for me though and they said this was their least sweet option. I left most of it, I think they could adjust their mocktails to less sweeter options. We were too full for dessert but the options sounded delicious. Overall an excellent meal and a great addition to Oakville restaurants! Vegetarian options: Tons of options!!

Overall a great experience and I look forward to visiting again soon. The food was delicious. We had the cheese rolls and mix grill which were amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was top notch (one of the best I have seen in GTA). The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the drinks were pricey for the quantity. They tasted good but the quantity didnt justify the price of mocktails for me. But other than the small hiccup, we had a great time and will be looking forward to visiting again soon.

Wow. Just wow. Heard quite a bit about this newer Oakville restaurant and our experience tonight did not disappoint! This was my first experience and my wife s second. As you enter the restaurant the host greeted us warmly with a big smile. The manager, Hossep, greeted us as if we re longtime friends and quickly promised us a phenomenal experience. Our main waiter, Nidal, was fantastic and responsive and took great care of us. The other severs were also friendly and efficient. I read a few reviews about the lacking service but clearly this restaurant has demonstrated how serious they are to become an Oakville/GTA favorite because the service matched the outstanding beautiful decor and food. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so fresh. We ordered the Tabouli salad, warm Kibbeh appetizer, and had the Orfali Kebab and Chicken Tawouk mains. Last but not least, the date cake dessert topped with ice cream, pistachios, and drizzled with caramel tabelside was everything I heard it would be. Thank you Laylak for making our date night so remarkably memorable. We will be back!

We dined at Laylak and chose to go with their set menu since we were a large group. The set menu had a lot of appetizers, multiple dips and hot and cold apps. The variety honestly really enjoyable and what I think makes the set menu worth it. By the time we got the main course I was already quite full. The main was a mixed grill, although all the meats were good I would say the lamb tenderloin was the best (really juicy and flavourful). Lastly the dessert was maybe one of the best parts. The toffee cake served with ice cream was incredible. The other dessert was a cream stuffed roll which was also tasty, I liked how wasnt too sweet. Honestly had a great night. I ve been here before with groups, but this time we went out for a date night. We got their signature drinks, the kibbeh neya & batata harra. The service is great. The vibes are right and everyone s having a good time. We finished our night at the bar with Mo, who was so fun and friendly.

Customer service is over rated , they make you feel like a king for the first few minutes and once you get your table they disappear. Ordered food from here which was pretty average, not worth the price tag at all. Came here to celebrate a birthday but kept ignoring my table. I had very very high expectations of this place, but it was very disappointing. They also forgot to get the drinks we ordered, we had to mention that we were still waiting for a drink.

Great authentic cuisine and amazing atmosphere!

We stopped in here as a last-minute choice and were so impressed with everything! The food was absolutely fresh and delicious, not to mention the generous serving sizes! The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Benson, the manager gave us a brief explanation of the traditional alcohol drink from Lebanon: Arak which we tried for the first time. What a fantastic experience!!

So called Finest Lebanese restaurant but if you are looking for authentic Lebanese taste its not your destination. No Lebanese chef at all. We tried Chefs special at 65 per head, waitress warned that it would be too much but ended up in small portions of dips, few stale Falafels and. Main meal was not disappointing but was very small portion for three, you can get it for one in other similar restaurants. Its only ambiance with less clothed waitresses and liquor in the name of Halal is not a perfect match. Chicken and beef is not good as it should be only big names and show off in run down strip mall area
