We ve tried a majority of the menu and the Food and Service is consistently top notch. Wonderful family-run resto!

Hit and miss but generally good. On their best night, the food is top notch. Just a bit inconsistent.

The most flavourful, delicious and well loved restaurant. Adonis is a long time favourite date spot of my husband and I. We moved 45 mins away and still make an effort to come here for dates because the grilled calamari is unbeatable. The salad, the souvlaki, the meat, the sauces, the rice, the potatoes, everything is so good.

Very local quality service I ordered meal with two drink to eat in and she don t inform will close at 7 PM. Save my food packet for take away and just one drink without fork or something to eat my dinner. Very low quality serve

After a Celebration of Life last Saturday, my party of 7 had lunch at Adonis. This being my second time there, I just had to recommend this restaurant to my family. The absolutely delicious food, presentation, amazing service and the relaxed and quaint atmosphere, we couldn t have asked for anything better seriously! As my sister said to us all Many thanks to Dave for a delicious lunch at the charmingly intimate, family run Adonis Mediterranean Restaurant which was the perfect end to our special day together. This place is THE BEST is there was an option for 10 stars I d give them all ten this place is family owned and they re all amazing people truly remarkable. The food is out of this world the Adonis dinner is the greatest shawarma plate I ve ever had nothing even comes close, I eat it about twice a week. I recommend this restaurant to everyone and I d drive well out of my way to eat there. (I live in Toronto) Don t walk RUN to Adonis restaurant !

This place is a hidden gem in Oakville. The food is absolutely fantastic, especially the chicken shawarma in a pita. The best I ve had anywhere. If you want your mother in law to like you, order an extra one for her. The staff there are always so friendly and welcoming, the type of people that remember their customers by name. I ordered for take out there a few times and each time I was amazed by the interactions the staff had with customers. It seems like everyone coming in has been going there for years. I guess because the food and staff are so fantastic, people keep coming back. I live about in the East end of Mississauga and it s about a 30 minute drive but it s worth it to treat myself and my family every couple of months. I m looking forward to trying other menu items, so far I m quite impressed. Parking: Plenty of parking, large lot.

I had a great experience at Adonis, it has great food, served big portions, had excellent service and super clean establishment. One of the hidden gems of Oakville. It is tucked away behind Speers Road with plenty of parking and near a quiet neighbourhood. The chicken shawarma was amazing served with plenty of garlic sauce, rice and salad all homemade from their family recipe. I would recommend the fried calamari for an appetizer it was super crispy and delicious. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, 10 out of 10!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a co worker. My husband and I went one night to try it out and it surpassed our expectations. The family that owns and runs the restaurant are the absolute nicest people. We order at least once a week, its that good!!! You will not be disappointed!!

this is place is great, went after school so was very hungry. me and my freind only had enough money for a kids burger but the nice lady who worked that bumped it into a adult burger! and it was yummy and the meat had such a nice flavour! good portions to and the fries was good. this made our day! look forward to going here again

Delicious food and friendly family run business

I Came here out of the blue, i was looking for a good Mediterranean place in Oakville and this happened to have one of the best reviews. So i decided to come check it out! The ladies who run the store were so friendly and welcoming!! I wasnt sure what to order so i asked the daughter for her recommendations she recommended the adonis on the rocks which had pineapple, chicken and bacon. I added veggies on the side and oh mann i was very happy when i took my first bite, it was an explosion of sweet and savoury goodness with a delicious garlic sauce! I highly recommend you try this place , i was quite satisfied! Thank you for a great experience! Keep being the beautiful souls that you are will come again!

This is my favourite place in all of Oakville, the best restaurant around and a staple in my family. We ve been going here for basically the entire time they ve been open and have never had a bad experience. The food is phenomenal and the family that runs the restaurant is extraordinary. You will not be disappointed and make sure to get an order of the oregano garlic potatoes.

Got an Adonis shawarma for the first time today and I ll certainly be back! I m very happy with my food and especially the service I received. I felt very welcomed and valued as a customer. 10000% coming back and I m so glad the restaurant is close to home!

Had an excellent meal here. There was a good assortment of dishes to pick from and we ended up ordering three vegetarian dishes. The falafel was great. I was worried that the veggie platter was nit enough food as I was starving but I couldnt finish it. The service was excellent all around. This made for a great overall meal that I fully recommend.

I came here because someone we were with swore by it. Interior of the restaurant was dimly lit. A few tables. A giant illuminated decorative tree of some kind took up a lot of space. Also anyone pulling into the parking lot is sure to blind you with their headlights so maybe best to pick a seat away from the windows. We ordered the Adonis entrée, the Chicken Shawarma entrée, Lamb Souvlaki entrée, a Shish Kafta entrée and a few Lentil soups. All of the entrees came with the same Rice, Potatoes and Greek Salad. The Lamb was cooked well, and for $30+ it better be. Chicken Souvlaki was drenched in sauce so of course it tasted good. The Kafta was AWFUL. So dry and bland. Every bite was making my mouth dry. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didnt taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didnt taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything. Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes. With such a better place nearby I dont know why you would come here instead.

My family and I dined in this weekend and I am so happy I found this hidden gem! If you know good authentic Lebanese food, this family run restaurant is the place to go. We ordered a variety of dinners as well as appetizers - The mixed grill (chicken souvlaki, shawarma, and pork souvlaki), shish kafta, adonis shawarma, and lamb souvlaki, grilled calamari and hummus. Everything was delicious !!Seasoned and cooked wonderfully and accompanied with their home made sauces. You can tell they use great quality ingredients - given the insane inflation of produce and groceries, their prices are fair and worth every penny. The family working is very kind and welcoming. This was my family s first time and we will certainly be back! We highly recommend it.

Family run restaurant with impeccable flavours. Would highly recommend this place . The falafel was light and crispy and the pita pockets was full of flavour. Ended our meal with granny s handmade baklava

Im not exaggerating when I say this was the best Greek food I have ever had! absolutely delicious (we had the Souvlaki) the service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We felt like part of the family. We have nothing negative at all to say. we will most certainly be back.

Im absolutely shocked at the rating for this place. The food is ok. Our salads were swimming in vinegar, but other wise ok and fresh. The lamb despite being cooked to medium was fairly tough (was seasoned and marinaded well though). The real issue was the PRICE. Its unholy! I ordered two Greek salads and two skewers of lamb (one small box of lamb) and three juices for me and my coworker. And since I still tip, even on take out orders that added up to just over 100 dollars (80 bucks before tip). No its not a mistake. Please reconsider your pricing, its not comparable to your food. The lady at the front was kind so the extra star is for her.

Stopped by on a hungry lunch for some home made Lebanese food. I was not disappointed, everything is made fresh on the spot! I really recommend the mixed grill platter which was divine. My partner being Lebanese I get homemade Lebanese food on a weekly basis so I was a bit of a harsher judge on the fattouch salad and the moutabbal. Thanks for the great food and service!

We were passing through the area and wanted to grab a quick lunch, we found this place due to its stellar reviews. After eating here, frankly, I am very shocked at these reviews. The high prices did not equate to the quality of food. They served the food on disposable plates, we got two salads (Greek and Fatoush), with a souvlaki stick on top (chicken and pork). The souvlaki was delicious, the salad was incredibly disappointing and was engulfed with a pool of vinegar. We got the Mezza platter which was the most delicious part of our meal. This all costed us over $80. Please reconsider your pricing model as this price did not warrant the quality.

Came in today for a quick late lunch, and still smiling ear to ear! I ordered the chicken souvlaki entree and the sides I chose are the fattoush salad, which is always dressed perfectly and balanced. I also ordered the potatoes and lentil rice. The lentil rice cost a bit more but worth every cent. Now, I only order the lentil rice since it was suggested a while back. The star of the show, the chicken souvlaki *drooling* thinking about it. Grilled just right, juicy and flavourful, you can taste the quality of the meat. The best souvlaki I ve ever had and I ve tried many restaurants on the Danforth. One thing I miss is dining in! Pre-covid the dining room was open and since then it has been takeout only. I mentioned how I missed dining in and they stated that I could use the table and chairs available to enjoy my meal. They were kind enough to offer disposable plates and utensils as well. The meal was everything I dreamt of and more(leftovers!). Will be having it for my dinner! *smiling* Did I mention that I ordered a baklava on my way out?? Yup, again - best I ve ever had! A must! Adonis is really one of those places that has you feeling like, you just left grandmas house with a happy belly! Thank you Adonis. See you again soon!

Best food in town! From their chicken shwarma to the calarmi, the meals are always great. Perfect portion sizes for a great price. Best burger in Ontario (if you arent a fan of bland food). One of our favourite places to go. Something on the menu for everyone (kids included). Chicken shawarma and fattoush salad are my go-to choices. As a family-owned business they really get to know their customers and take pride in the quality of their food.

The food here is pretty good, but the service is what stands out. The people who work here are friendly and greet you with open arms, and that makes the experience a whole lot better. This place is great for take out after a long day.

Truly the best shawarma in Oakville. If you re close by, don t forget to order the Adonis shawarma (it has pineapples and bacon, which sounds like an odd combination but it s mind blowing) from this underaged place.

We found this place from a reddit post of hidden gems. Its definitely worth it. There chicken shawarma and there Adonis shawarma are excellent dishes and well worth getting. I highly recommend them, and have been several times to get them.

Good food, warm people! I drove out just to try their food bec I craved for chicken souvlaki when I woke up today. Got held up a little in the QEW on my way, but I would say that this was worth the drive! Im a fan of baba ganouj, and theirs tasted great! I think I can finish two orders of those :D Loved the flavor and texture of the rice of the chicken souvlaki, and the chicken had that crispy char that I prefer on any grilled meat dish. Took out some baklava rolls. Unlike the usual baklava, theirs isnt too sweet; which is a plus on my books. Shukran!

Tried this place today as a replacement to Agabi which closed during COVID and hasn t opened again. The food was good but it doesn t hold a candle to Agabi. Hummus needed salt, the meat in the shawarma was decent but the hot sauce was awful. Still on my search to replace Agabi.

Me and my friend had entres: He had Adonis Shawarma, I had the Beef Shawarma. It was amazing, I would recommend having curtains on sunny days to prevent glare from outside. Otherwise the food and everything else was amazinggggggggg. Definite must go to for mediterranean cuisine.

Update: Came back after few years. It is a small family restaurant with home made flavored food. The portions are big. The price is fair. I dont have complaints about the service. The food was good. First review : The place is very small. I would recommend calling for a reservation to avoid waiting time. The food is very good and also the service. The waiter came several times to ask how we were going.

Adonis seems to be a family owned restaurant thats tucked away on a residential street in Oakville. The food and service was incredible! Ive been there a few times and they never disappoint. I would highly recommend it.

Great place and great food

The food was delicious, authentic (the potatoes reminded me of my grandmothers), and portions were generous. Its the best Middle Eastern Ive had in Oakville. The owner told me that this restaurant is a labour of love that she, her mother and her daughter all work together in, sharing the recipes they grew up with that are a mix of family recipes from Lebanon, Armenia and Greece. As an additional note, they have lots of gluten-free and vegan options. Two of us are celiac and I am happy to report that they took this seriously, prepared our food on a separate surface, and understood enough about our needs that I didnt have to explain what we needed. So happy we found this place.

Lets see, look up hidden gem in the dictionary, yup there it is...Adonis! Do people use dictionaries still? Some crazy little strip-mall from a bygone era has some very of the best Mediterranean food this guy has ever had! My wife and friends have been going here for years, and now I know why. The Adonis shawarma with pineapple, which I thought was a bit weird at first was incredible! Wow! And the portion sizes are huge. Prices are at the point where I feel a bit guilty. There is a house for sale across the road, and I am seriously contemplating buying it! I will be going back for sure. If you are in the area, heck even if your not in the area, try Adonis out!

Fine Middle-eastern / Mediterranean dining for much lower than fine-dining price. Great value. We dont go often enough. Great service and family friendly atmosphere. The first time we went my two year old threw a coffee creamer (sealed thankfully) at a neighbouring diner. He smiled and said good arm and we laughed it off. The lamb dishes are very good. Great for a family dinner or date night.

Falafels were dry, loads of bland rice, only a few veggies despite paying $3 extra, very disappointing for $16. No garlic and no hot sauce either.

This is the go-to Mediterranean spot for me and my family. We recently moved to Burlington and still return because it s so good! Food is 10/10 every single time and the staff are so welcoming and kind. We have recommended this place to all of our friends and everyone immediately gets hooked. Every time I would visit home from university this was my first requested meal, need I say more? You have to eat here or else your missing out!

Stopped there on my way from Hamilton. Had the chicken shawarma sandwich and Falafel sandwich. One of the best in the area. Freshly made falafel and the sauces were really good.

I am surprised how this restaurant got all the high reviews. The food is way below average and very very salty. When complained to one of the owners, her reply was we have been selling the same food all day . we had to throw the food in the garbage. Also no dine in, take out only, when I asked why take out only their answer was because that s the way we wanted it to be!!!

I ordered catering from Adonis for my sons birthday party and it was so worth it, they never miss! Their shawarma was amazing as always, but the felafel and mezza platters we served as appetizers were a huge hit. Well definitely be coming back to Adonis for our next party.

Its been there for years. The food was great, nice small restaurant. The food took a little long to come but for good food time doesnt mean a thing. If you like Mediterranean you need to check out this spot.

Not sure what the hype is all about. I spent 50 dollars and the food was boring with unseasoned rice, potatoes cooked in tomotato sauce and chicken souvlaki that was burnt chewy and falavoress. The souvlaki pita was decent only because it was loaded with sauce. Customer service was fantastic and may why they get two stars. Once you realize where this place is located you understand why the high reviews about flavour and taste Way better options to spend 50 bucks in Oakville and Burlington when it comes to MEd food

Authentic food. Baklava was spot on. Falafels were flavorful. Lebneh, felt was a little too salty, may be my personal preference. Will definitely visit back to try more.

Chicken shawarma pita was the best I ve had in oakville, by a long shot. Staff were friendly, food was made fast. The chicken perfectly cooked and juicy. Everything was well seasoned. The whole thing tasted fresh and real, as opposed to some fast-food shawarma joints.
