Halal Pakistani Cuisine serve traditional dishes dine in and takeout
5 stars all the way. We ordered biryani, lahori chanay butter nan and plain nan it was excellent. Food, service and ambience all superb. Had the real taste of lahori chana after a long long time
Nice place with good seating and ambience. Food was served fresh and hot . Spice level was minimum.Good portion for the price you pay .The seating is really low and it was hard to eat with seating and tables being at the same level ….
The food was delicious and served fresh. Staff is friendly, and the place is clean with a nice decor.
Very impressed with taste and presentation. It's was quick and right away. Karak chai and BBQ Chicken were my order. Will surely come back soon!!!
Good customer service, but unfortunately food quality was bad. Lack of salt in all dishes. Biryani was so cold. Refrement items were (Pakoras) were mixed in curry and served as dinner menos. No nihari taste. No taste in so called chicken qorma. Only nan were good.
Oakville didn't really have any other choice for halal/Pakistani style snacks and street food so this was a God send. Glad we have this in the area now. Love the art work on the walls and really enjoyed the 10 dollar halwa puri breakfast option which actually has 4 items included and is quite big! Channay were a bit spicy but rhe chai was good. Good service too.
Great new place in Oakville for Halal, Pakistani breakfast staples like Halwa puri, Nihari, paaye, kulchay and saag. Paaye was one of the best I've had at any eatery, Nihari was great. The seating space would do better with a different and brighter color scheme. All in all, a great experience!
Checked out Village Taste in Oakville for breakfast. There was so much variety and options at this location. The food tasted good overall. The halwa puri was the best part. The service is very good as well. The staff was friendly and helpful
Delicious food, large portions, great service
The chef s culinary skills are impeccable! The biryani is fragrant and flavorful, the lamb chops are perfectly tender and juicy, and the halwa puri is a delightful treat. Truly an exceptional dining experience that sets a high bar for culinary excellence. Kudos to the chef!
We were regular customers for the breakfast buffet, but last time we went a month before we got to know its not there anymore, sooo disappointed n sad, please please bring back the breakfast buffet, it was such a delightful treat
I want to give this restaurant a 5 star review, but I have so much criticism about this restaurant. One of the fillings for the Pani Puri had hair in it, which can be a health concern because there is bacteria on it. Additionally, the kahahi has a lack of authentic taste, and the biryani is very average. Plus, try to make the seats more unconfterble to eat because they were 3 ft away, which can cause bad sitting posture for people to eat food. I hope you do better.
Food was very good Nd Very good service by staff Specially Sonia Food : 5/5
Great experience Paruvi was a great host . Great ambience of the place. Food : 5/5
Food was terrible, tasted stale, not really any favour and rubbery hard kebab. Seats are too low to eat comfortably too. This probably was a shisha lounge and they kept the furniture. Try and do better, disappointing
This place falls short of expectations. The food was old and stale, and the seating arrangement felt more like a lounge with couches and coffee tables rather than a proper restaurant setup. The Karahi dish was a disappointment; it resembled chicken soup with undercooked chicken and even had metal shavings from a scouring pad. The samosas were frozen inside and burnt on the outside, and the chicken tasted as though it had been microwaved. The naan was also terrible, and Im doubtful it was even a tandoori naan. Despite decent service, the quality of the food was terribly poor. I wouldnt recommend dining here at all.
I never leave reviews because I always think everyone deserves a second chance. But this experience was by far, one of the worst restaurants my family has been to. We wanted to support our local Pakistani restaurant, especially because its new. We walked in and felt strange right away. The place was empty, they have sofas and coffee tables instead of regular dining. It was a lounge not a restaurant. It gave zero feeling of village something we looked forward to. The lady was very kind and sweet who was serving us. But the somosas were frozen in the middle, clearly re-fried at least 2 times based on the very dark colour outside. The butter chicken was old, and the beef was clearly re heated. The karahi was NOT karahi. It was something else. My family has had karahi all over the GTA, and this deserves a 0/10. The meat looked raw, it was clearly thickened and very soup based. I was shocked. My mom was very sad as this was her birthday dinner. If it doesn t get worse, we found metal shavings in the karahi (likely from a dish scrubber). My family calmly talked to the waiter and she was very apologetic. We aren t the type to make a big deal or be difficult. To take this one step further, my little sisters lip has an infection, lower part exactly where the glass touched. We should have known better and ordered straws. We went straight home after, it s easy to tie it back to the unhygienic restaurant.
I ordered chicken biryani yesterday, very little chicken and it was full of bones...some bones were small enough to choke on.
Very nice place & amazing food. Must try karahi. Amazing ambience, service is too good. Must try
The food is excellent and I had to meet the great chef in person to thank him. The greetings and the service from Arsh and Sonia was beyond expectation. They made my visit with my wife unforgettable. Thanks and keep the great work Cheers
Food felt home made and was extremely tasty. The staff were very attentive and polite checking up on me. The restaurant itself was both clean and had a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for authentic Desi food. Dietary restrictions: All the food is Halal
Great ambiance, authentic Pakistani taste. Beef Nihari is recommended. Food
This place is so good. I highly recommend to go there with your kids. The people are so nice . For special need kids ,this place is comfortable for them.they have separate room too if you needed. Thanks Vegetarian options: Saag, potato curry Parking: Free parking is here. Accessible parking also there. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair access ability.
Excellent food, service and ambience , would totally recommend
I have never provided a negative Google review but we had the worst takeout meal ever. We ordered a meat dish and received a bone with fat. Waste of money ! I would give a -0 rating..
Great breakfast place (Arsh was awesome)
Excellent ambiance and all the food was delicious!
The chicken biryani was delicious!
Very nice restaurant, good food, good environment and reasonable price.
Went for Iftar but the food was not that good but prices are very reasonable. Just an average restaurant. I won t go again.
Went there for Iftar Buffet yesterday. Very limited menu considering they are charging same price like their counterparts in Mississauga (comparing weekday rates) Most items were not fresh. Staff was not refilling items on time. It was mentioned that dates and room afza would be served on table but it was actually self serve. Number of desserts was less than what they posted on menu. At this point of time, I dont see them surviving much longer. Regular patrons of Mississauga location should stay away from here.
Great food! 9/10 The tables height should be higher though.... Food
We went there for iftar buffet. The place is so dead, that they use previous days food. The food was probably 2/3 days old and the service was very slow. The food tastes ok but most of it apart from fried items was old. They charge you pretty heavily for such a small buffet menu. Not impressed.
Really nice Pakistani place
Delicious food
Went for their Brunch on a weekend. They dont have self-serve buffet, instead they serve you at your table as much as you want from a set menu. Though they have a good variety of dishes in their brunch menu, the food taste was quite disappointing. Nihari - very bland. Did not taste like nihari Beef Paye - very bland, lacked masala and salt Dum ka Qeema - was not dum ka qeema, tasted like regular qeema Choolay - ok Aaloo tarkari - ok Omelette - good Naans - were stale and had this weird taste Paratha - ok Puri - ok Halwa - ok Chai - good (extra price not included in brunch) The sitting area was ok, tables were too low to eat food comfortably. Overall not a good experience. We had high expectations with 4.2 review score but were disappointed with food quality. There are much better places to go in GTA.
Got Bbq chicken for take out. Looks delicious Glad I found a new halal restaurant in town Food
Excellent Food
Bad experience on my Christmas Day order. Can t believe they said they don t have my order at all. It s not like they re too busy. It s empty all the time. I called them a week ago to ask if they re open on Christmas Day so that I can put order for my party . They said theyre open and I just need to play order two days before. I called in three day before Christmas Day, talked to a girl. She seemed not to really know her job so I made sure it s Oakville location and she wrote my name down and repeatedly tell her that I want a big tray of Chivken Bryanni for 24 people plus some samosas. Guess what , I come today and they said they never get the order. Bad business. I don t know what to say. It s not a mistake it s just very poor sense of business. Hope they re survive
Had Chicken biryani, Chicken quality was terrible, like 2 days old. Never recommend
The food was a bit spicy, and biryani was stale (they didn t warm it up completely and served the cold one from over night may be?). Naan s could definitely be worked on as well. A lot of margin of improvement in terms of quality and taste of food. We were the only one sitting on Friday evening for dinner - speaks well about the quality of food being delivered.
4th & limiting forever visit: Ill only visit when I dont feel like traveling to other preferred Asian restaurants. Quantity & Quality are out of balance & although Im not wheelchair disabled, I hate places that dont facilitate their access. 3rd Visit: Meat portions were still lacking but the taste was very good. Id buy more often if the quantity matched the quality. After my second visit, I hope they do well. Unfortunately, although the food was great, 1st visit I was disappointed in the portion of meat in the rice. The flavor was so awesome that I gave a second chance. That dish was appropriately portioned. However, the butter chicken that I added didnt have close to the meat expected based on cost: less than one breast side of the chicken portion. Their taste is sooo good that Ill try again. However, if they cheat me out on the meat again Ill update this review as needed. I reeaaaly hope they correct this shortcoming their taste is Outstanding!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Make handicap accessibility a priority by fixing the door buttons ASAP!
Just had a few of their dishes for lunch and their amazing!!! The butter chicken was the best butter chicken I have ever had. Yum.
The food here is AMAZING! Everything was beyond delicious (esp the butter chicken). Would definitely recommend.
Awesome place! Kebabs were awesome!
Had a couple dishes for lunch, and the chicken kabobs were amazing
The owner was very kind and helpful. All the food was great, especially the Reshmi kebabs! Cant wait to come back!
The dishes were plentiful and all my choices were delicious! Would definitely recommend!
The butter chicken was amazing. The owner was so kind and we had a great lunch here!
Best butter chicken I have ever had! Personable owner and the other array of dishes were also very tasty. Vegetarian options: plenty! Parking: great area!
We ordered the Mixed Platter, Nihari, Butter chicken and rice. All the food tasted very good other than the Tandoori chicken and Naan. We couldnt eat the naan Definitely recommend this restaurant
Amazing food, service and ambiance. A great addition to Desi food addition in the area. A must try place for Desi foodies. Food
Bad experience
Amazing experience with good food, we booked whole place for a cricket match and everything was great
Taste good good service that is good visit here .
Authentic Pakistani taste, Chicken biryani and beef nihari was great. Highly recommended. Food
Nice place for sitting buffet breakfast. Recommended. Food
Did dine in for breakfast buffet. All items excellent but paratha was best! Will be returning customer.
I ordered biryani on Saturday, November 11,2023. The rice in the biryani wasnt fresh felt just like warm up in the microwave. It didnt seem like it was made fresh, and also, the chicken had a foul smell in it. It gave me food poisoning, and I have been sick till now. If you are taking customers money, aleast provide fresh food so they dont get food poisoning.
Feels grubby when you enter Staff not engaged Food was pretty tasteless and ingredients were poor quality. It was poor overall and it just didnt feel clean Vegetarian options: Plenty
This place is not as big as the mississauga and buffet is not offered but the food is great. We had the beef paya and chicken seekh kabob. Food quality and flavors are just as good as the mississauga location. If youre in the oakville area, this is the best pakistani food in a 20km radius. Customer service was also very good. I took my mom there in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating.
Arsh and tavisha were awsome. This is the first time we came and had amazing experience. Botht rhe girls served us very well. 100% coming back . Recommened
Excellent food and experience
We tried karak chai, mango lassi, fish pakora and fries.no doubt, all items were very different and delicious.
