We got sick after we left the restaurant. Not a good experience to have!

It was overall good visit. Nice food, maybe a bit pricy, but okay. Overall positive and I would recommend. However! I would encorage manager to explain to chef why the choice of soap in bathrooms makes his efforts to cook great meals completely diminished. After using that soap hands smell like chemical factory from last century. Why not spend extra $20 and get nice soaps that justify the price of the restaurant abd not ruin the experience?

Used to love Baton Rouge and had a craving for their ribs. The leather of the seats of the booth was torn (of most booths actually) which isnt appealing to sit. The appetizers were relatively good, the steak meh and I wasnt that enjoying my ribs that much. The baked potato was great this being said. Service was friendly but we were forgotten a few times. Top quality food. Had the top sirloin steak and it is much better than any steak I had before even the top steak houses around. My wife had the salmon and it was amazing too, the best we had in a long time. Top quality, service, taste etc... little o we priced but worth every penny. Always good to be there and it s a perfect place for special occasions and birthdays.

Use to go to the Baton Rouge at the Eaton Centre and raved about it to everyone. Tried the Oakville one the other night and OMG is all I can say. The salmon tartare was literally a health inspectors dream I believe, teetering on rotting. Two bites and I was straight to the bathroom holding in a wave of nausea that nearly floored me. The server was a dream though - sweet and attentive and understood completely. It was removed from our bill. I tried my friends spinach and it was so greasy that it was making my nausea worse. Other than the server, theres no reason to go back to Baton Rouge, like ever. The food has steadily declined over the years. The location is on its last legs for sure.

Not bad...ribs were very flavorful but fairly small for a full rack... Its like they took a rack of ribs and cut it into three long ribs pieces so they can make 3 full racks out of a single rack. But I guess Thats what inflation gets you nowadays. Everything is so expensive. But overall I enjoyed my meal there and I would recommend

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Friday, November 15th to celebrate my birthday dinner with a friend. To start, we ordered calamari as an appetizer. The portion size was noticeably small, so we brought it up with the waitress and the manager. The manager assured us that portions are weighed and offered to bring something else to make up for it, but unfortunately, nothing was ever brought to the table. My friend ordered the Louisiana Grilled Chicken Salad, but the chicken (with grill marks) was served cold. When she asked about it, the waitress said it was supposed to be cold, which was unexpected and not enjoyable for her. For dessert, we tried the cinnamon bun, which was highly recommended by our waitress. The menu photo showed it topped with multiple candied pecans, but ours only had two definitely not what we expected. My friend also ordered a latte, but when it arrived, the waitress apologized for serving it in a smaller mug than usual. This made my friend feel like she received less than the standard portion. The service and attention to detail did not meet our expectations, and I wouldn t recommend this place nor come back based on this experience.

Our meals were great when we finally got them. The service was super slow with nobody in the dining room. Our waitress was nowhere to be found most of the evening.

I was a delivery driver many years ago and I delivered to this place daily. I remember seeing Ali and Yogi everyday. They worked in the kitchen. There were a pleasure to see everyday. They were always very friendly and I always looked forward to coming here each time. Everything was clean and it always smelled amazing inside. I think they were always cooking smoked ribs. I will have to take my wife here someday for dinner. I hope Yogi and Ali are still working here. I would like to see them again.

I recently ordered a pick-up from Baton Rouge Grillhouse and Bar and was disappointed with the overall experience. Although the food was ready in 15 minutes, the quality did not match the high price. The ribs were not tasty or tender, and the chicken tenders were just okay. The fries were soggy, and the coleslaw was bland. Overall, it was not worth the cost, and I wouldn t recommend it.

Me and the family went here tonight for dinner. Holly was our server she was super friendly and joyful but there was a bigger lady which I believe is the manager was not so friendly and probably should go work somewhere else not the service industry. My mashed potatoes were cold and my sons fries were cold as well 2 things u would expect to be made fresh. I will probably never go back here again

This is our third night in a row here. The food is great, the service outstanding. We ve been coming for several years, usually Monday as we love the rib special. All our servers have been attentive and efficient but Ursula especially made us feel welcome so now we reserve ahead so we re sure to get her. Even our grandkids ask if Ursula will be there to serve us. They just don t come any better!

I have to admit when it comes to Steaks. This is one of my Favorite places to dine in. Many different choices on the menu. I always appreciate hard working Chefs & servers. Keep up the good job guys. Obviously it was pan fryed. Than I ordered a $47 steak. It was perfect Ill stick with that next time.

Another fantastic dining experience at one of our favourite restaurants that we have been frequenting for many years. Introduced new friends there last night and they were totally wowed with the food and service. We always request our favourite server Ursula. She outdoes herself and truly puts the topping on our dining experience. Our friends loved her and the high degree of service she provides. Do not let any fake bad reviews deter you from going there. Try it and you make your own decision. I have eaten at many fine GTA restaurants over the years such as Morton s in Toronto, Chops, Zorro s, and Aristotles in Meadowvale regularly for over 30 years and many others, and Baton Rouge is right up there on my list of top ten. We came to eat whilst visiting family close by last month in their recommendation and Im glad we did! The food was amazing but the highlight of our visit was our waitress Maria, she couldnt of been more helpful and friendly, she went out of her way to help with and questions we had and bought such a lovely atmosphere to the whole experience. Ribs were bomb. Good price Mondays too in Oakville rack and a half fries and coleslaw with a soup to start and cake as dessert....for 35$

Hidden Gem to me, had the seafood Linguine and thoroughly enjoyed it. Half price wines on Thursday only added to my positive experience.

Our waitress Maria was phenomenal. Very attentive and extremely sweet. She told us it was her second week working and we were blown away. She is a great addition to the Baton Rouge team

I booked Baton Rouge for a group of 12 friends and I couldn t be happier with our entire night! Our server Casey was the person who made our HS Girlfriends reunion such a wonderful night with her smiling professional service and patience with the talkative group!... A good server is so important for large groups and we were beyond spoiled by Casey s attention. The food was excellent and everyone was completely satisfied with their choice including the menu options, portions, flavours and value. A visit to our table by the manager was also noted and very appreciated. We would Definitely recommend Baton Rouge for groups like ours. We will be returning and will probably become our regular spot.

Visited for a late mothers day dinner. My husband and I shared the Burrata for our appetizer - bug ball of Burrata cheese on top of like a bruschetta mix with halved cherry tomatoes, topped with herbs, oil and balsamic vinegar. It was deeeeliccious. If the portion was bigger I would buy it for my meal. I wish there was 2 more pieces of toast to eat with everything though. For dinner my husband had the burger which he downed in what felt like seconds. I had the prime rib sandwich. The meat was sooooo tender. We both loved the shoestring fries. Usually I dont like the that thin because they get overcooked or hold too much grease but these were perfect. *chefs kiss*

Our family of 15 came to this Baton Rouge location on May/11/24 for Mothers Day celebrations, as well as a 50th Birthday. We were greeted by the managers, Randy & Klaudia and throughout the night, they came by to ensure everything was going well and that our food was right (I had the calamari as my app and the prime rib with mash potatoes as my main, which was perfect!). We had Laura as our server and she did a great job serving our big group. She regularly checked in on us to see if we needed anything and never left us hanging. The food portions were perfect and no ones meal came out cold (our family has been to other restaurants who werent able to time the food so that everyone has a hot meal at the same time). Another great thing is, they didnt rush us out the door and they let us enjoy our time there. We appreciate their hard work to ensuring we left with a great experience! Im in the service industry and can appreciate when people make a great effort to bend over backwards for their customers! This experience is worth coming back for.

Food? Amazing. Service? Unheard of. Place? Great. I was blown away by the quality of both the food, and service. Club sandwich was awesome. Looked good, and tasted great. My cousin had ordered sweet potatoe fries with her main. She got normal fries on accident. Food went back to kitchen, got sweet potatoe fries. Under 2 mins. I drink a ton of water. When I normally go to restaurants I usually ask for two glasses of water because I know how much I drink. Meggie kept filling up my water every 5-10 mins. I didnt even have to ask. She just DID. 6/5 stars if I could. These people CARE about their service.

When we arrived we were greeted with a cold stare from the hostess, who further ignored our greeting and continued on her screen. She ushered us to our table, and was no longer a part of our experience. Taylor was our server. She was outgoing, bubbly and always quick with her service. The food was great, getting both steaks and prime rib sandwiches amongst us. Taylor was great in resolving the minor issues, coming back with a smile each time. Ultimately, due to the food and Taylor s great service, we had a good overall experience. Taylor should be the server lead, showing others how to be courteous, professional and efficient.

I called late on a Friday afternoon for a last minute reservation request. Travis went above and beyond to ensure my party would be taken care of. I wish I remembered my servers names (two blondes, one was in training) as they were both so attentive and patient. The food was outstanding. No complaints (other than I should have ordered another side plate of their famous fries - SO delicious). The rib sandwich was amazing, steaks cooked to perfection. The ribs were fall off the bone yummy. All in all my whole party was satisfied and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a great experience.

An amazing dining experience! Our waiter Jordan was so professional, friendly, and his service was top notch. Even my 10 year old daughter became his fan :) He not only gave suggestions what to order, but he also read our minds that the girls needed a special sauce with their fried chicken even before we asked. That is so thoughtful and he definitely was paying attention, and making sure everyone was taken care of at the table. The food is always exceptional. The black cod is my favourite dish. Our entire family s favourite restaurant. Will come back again. Thanks again for your great service and food.

Disappointing experience for 3 adults & 2 small kids. Price was high at almost $200 for 3 adult entrees, one mac n cheese, one calamari app, 1 glass of wine & tip. Food was ordinary. Sorry to say we will not return again. Parking: Good parking and convenient.

Was there as a party of 10+ women to celebrate a friends birthday. Servers were thorough. Drinks were delicious. Serving size was ample. Most of us stuck with salads and I think that was a good decision. I had the tuna tartare salad.

Chicken tender platter was bland. Other food we ordered was bland. Would like to try it again and order something different.

This was my own personal first experience at Baton Rouge. I went on Sunday with a reservation for a group of 10 with my mother-in-law and my partners family. This restaurant holds a lot of sentimental value to my mother-in-law as her and her deceased husband used to frequent Baton Rouge and she hasnt been back since he passed away. When we arrived at the restaurant, the ambiance was great, the servers were initially very nice and all was relatively good, albeit a bit slow. We only had 1 server for a group of 10, but were fine with it. As the night went on, only bad things ensued. Two of our party got their food rather quickly and we were surprised at the speed, but 10 minutes later were approached saying the food was brought to the wrong table and they were preparing another dish for them. We waited for everyones food and about 1.5 hours later, we finally had gotten everyones food except they had missed the truffle fries I had ordered on the side. The timing of the food being served was strange as well. Kids received their food first, which was fine, but then 15 minutes later the adult dinners came out, but the initial 2 dishes that went to the wrong table, were served 15 minutes after everyone elses had arrived. While I was being served the food, I had my full glass of ice water spilled onto me by another server who apologized, which I commented was okay, since it was just water and no harm no foul. I informed our server about the truffle fries and she said to me theyll be out in a minute! 5 minutes passed, 10 minutes passed, 15 minutes passed and still no truffle fries. I had finished my food, which Ill comment on later. Finally, at the end of this long evening, we get our bill that had truffle fries and I questioned the purchase since we had never received them to which she commented it was an add-on for my partners meal, but never once apologized about having forgotten the truffle fries I ordered on the side. So, long story short, continuous error after error from Baton Rouge made the whole service experience absolutely horrible. I know it sounds petty, but I was looking forward to the fries, and from not even receiving a single apology for having forgotten them made me a little sour. Food quality: I ordered the chicken tender salad and the overall salad was good, but the chicken tenders, which I had heard such great things about, were lukewarm at best. The breading was soggy (which I can understand from sitting on a bed of salad, but the WHOLE chicken tenders that were sitting on top were soggy overall and lukewarm) which makes me suspect they were just sitting there. Overall, I dont know what needs to change, but it was such an awful experience overall and I dont recommend it to anyone trying Baton Rouge for the first time because it was truly disappointing. I spent $70 to have water spilled on me, truffle fries forgotten, and soggy chicken tenders on a nice bed of salad and never once an apology for all the poor things that had happened that evening. I was disappointed because the ratings looked phenomenal, but I was severely disappointed.

Three of us was there on Saturday, and 2 of us became sick next day.when we look back the 2 of us that are sick had the same dish..shrimp linguine . So it must be this dish..also we have been at this restaurant before but this is the first time the dish was not that great like a 5 out of 10 were normally the shrimp linguine is a 9 out of 10

I love Baton Rouge being from Montreal and all, but this location compared to others in the gta and Montreal falls short unfortunately. The burger was dry when I started eating it and realized why when I got to the burnt part. The onions were not the freshest. The dijonnaise was excellent as always. The fries also fell short. My server recommended the raspberry mule which was delicious. My server did give me 2 10$ vouchers but I doubt I will be returning to this location.

We have been coming to this place for years. Service is always good, especially the General Manager Travis who was polite to us all evening and made sure our servers were keeping us well served. Food was served hot and we were missing some utensils however the team got everything we needed pronto so the food didn t get cold. It makes a huge difference having a team leader like the Manager Travis and making patrons feel like they are appreciated! Thank you Travis and team, keep up the good work!

Top Sirloin was top notch. Perfectly done with a peppercorn gravy...excellent. Fall off the bone ribs, rack and half with mash and veg, plus soup and dessert, with a zesty, zingy coleslaw side$35. Wow!

The food was delicious. I have dietary restrictions and can be picky when it comes to my order instructions. The kitchen originally brought out my order incorrect, but the server was very helpful and promptly fixed the issue, which resulted in free carrot cake for my lady. Win win. Great night out.

Weve been to this restaurant many times before and celebrated many occassions. We told everyone we know how good the steaks are cooked and portions are very reasonable but unfortunately yesterday we lost all that credibility in this place. We ordered filet mignon and asked that it is well done. When we were served, we noticed our meat was not the usual, round steak, which usually its about an inch and a half high and when one slices through it, you can see the juicy meat insude. No, it was a piece of flat steak and so charred and burnt on each side, there was hardly any meat visible when one cut through it. We complained and while everyone else in our group ate their dinner, we had to eat the potatoe and vegetables, without our meat. They did bring another full plate about half an hour later but by then my apetite was lost. We had also ordered a cesar salad and it was so dry for lack of dressing that both us and our friends had to ask for extra dressing. This is no longer the Baton Rouge we were so accustomed to, especially when we got the bill and it was outrageous, adding 18% gratuity and being taxed on that as well. With the money we paid we would have been better off to buy our own filet mignon and cook it ourselves.

Our night started rough, we sat in the dining room and did not get served for 15 minutes. Two different servers walked by our table and didn t acknowledge us. We decided to go to the lounge area and was served by Taylor. She changed our whole mood completely, made really good recommendations. The food was amazing and she made really good drinks. Will definitely be coming back and request for Taylor to serve us. Thank you again Taylor for ending our night on a better note

Sat in the dining room and did not get served. We went to the bar area instead and had amazing service from Taylor. Will definitely recommend the lobster mushroom and octopus. We will definitely be coming back.

The food here is fantastic! Our server, Taylor, was so excellent and knew her stuff when it came to the menu. She made some great recommendations for our dishes, and we loved every bite.

Ursula was great! We ve had her a couple times now: with one of us having a gluten allergy she made sure everything was safe to eat. Food was very good! Overall a great experience! Definitely ask for her if you can.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend of ours whilst visiting Oakville from the UK, and we were not disappointed - this restaurant is incredible, and strongly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse. In particular, our waitress for the evening - Kacey - was second-to-none, and made the meal and our experience at Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar extra special. They went above and beyond and was incredibly friendly from the beginning - the food made us think about going back before we go home, and Kacey made us want to go back. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

I invited my boyfriend to have dinner with me and he was the one who choose this place. I must admit that I was very impressed with the quality of meals, service and nice interior. We were sitted by the window and this lovely waitress come right to our table. With beautiful smile she recommended delicious appetizers and they arrived elegantly served and prepared. I had Power bowl with cauliflower wings and my partner had amazing ribs and chicken combo. The meat was so well done that it was falling off the bone. Totally recommend !!!

Last weekend we had a party of 11 here. This was our daughter s third birthday in a row at Baton Rouge. The staff who served us, as well as the manager, Travis, were exceptional! Every year this place gets better. And the foooood! Kid-friendliness: The kids in our party were a bit much, and the waitresses did everything they could for us. The hostess was a bit snarky, however.

I went to B.R. for the first time yesterday, and the food and service was beyond amazing! Travis the general manager was personable, kind, respectful, and is a treasure they definitely should keep! The prices were beyond reasonable; especially when you consider the portions. Taylor our server was kind hearted and very professional. I will definitely be going back. The food was sooo good

It started a little rocky when someone hadnt made our menus correct and had left the steak page out but they replaced it quickly. The food was all amazingly cooked amazingly and tasted superb. Our only complaint was the calamari was a little harder than it should have been and the horse radish wasnt hot enough. Everything was great.

My wife had a bad experience with her last Skip The Dishes steak order from Baton Rouge Needless to say we called to complain about the cut of the meat. We were put in touch with Travis who is now the new manager of the oakville location. Travis went out of his way to make sure our next meal was cooked to perfection, which indeed it was. A special thank you to Travis, we will definitely be return customers.

First time coming here and the staff was absolutely spectacular! They were very accommodating with any food sensitivities/ allergies. My friend and I got the seafood linguini, it was awesome. We also loved the lobster stuffed mushrooms. Will definitely come back! There are also halal options, just call ahead!

Our waiter Matthew was very r attentive greeted us within 5 minutes of being seated. One thing is the restaurant everyone works together great teamwork. Met new general manager Travis who was very enlightening about just coming aboard and shared his vision My husband and I go out every Saturday date night. The service staff are really excellent and helpful, and I was very happy with the ribs I was advised to try. They are fall off the bone and tasty. Its a bit of a gas-light look inside and felt a bit barren but the service trumped that, give them a try. Food

Had ribs, scrimps and a steak. The food portions were good but not served hot. Our waitress, Bri was exceptional. She was welcoming and made the best lemonade! The managers, (I assume came by to check on us twice). They are working hard to satisfy customers. Would I come back? Yes, I will try again.

Ursalla was amazing. She s knew how to make us laugh and was very attentive. All of our food came out perfect and spaced out really well! I recommend the seafood linguine! The shrimp and scallop were tender and it paired nicely with the rose sauce! High five to the manager travis! We will be back!!!

Great night out with the family and grand kids. The ribs were fall off the bone and Seafood Linguini fabulous. Followed up dinner with a great cappuccino and yummy Creme Brulee. Our server Ursula was fabulous and her recommendations were spot on! Great job Baton Rouge!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Baton Rouge and I must say, the experience exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly server, Jordan, who provided top-notch service throughout the evening. Not only was the food delicious, but the standout of the night was the exceptional service provided by Travis, the general manager. Travis went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set Baton Rouge apart from other restaurants. Amazing, definitely our go-2 place for special occasions. Service is always stellar.

For the halal-only eaters: Halal options are limited to: 12oz New York Strip Halal Ribs The steak was decent for the price. It was cooked very well, but under-seasoned. I do think Milestones steak is better though. The halal ribs were hilariously overpriced. 55$ for 2 beef ribs (These are much much smaller than their pork ribs), a small order of fries (McDonalds style) and some coleslaw. Octopus was also mid. Raspberry cheesecake was very good, chocolate cake was good, crème brulee was bad (was eggy). Overall, for the amount we spent, Id rather go elsewhere.

Nice atmosphere and service however the meat was overcooked and texture was not great. Mashed potatoes not so tasty and veggies were just steamed - not bad but not what you would expect when dining out and for the price. The kids burger was nice. Overall ok experience although it is unlikely we would go back soon.

Unfortunately underwhelming for the amount spent. Ordered the 8oz steak. Upon arrival the plate looked empty. I get the 8oz size of steak but the rice and vegetables were basically non existent. The only wins of the evening was our server . The gentleman was attentive and followed up frequently

Very sad to see the place we always visited because the good service giving tonight a bad service,more than half an hour after we finish eating no getting part of the food we asked, nobody asked how was the food, and the server came we main plates that werent our plates even before we get our appetizers. We did have the intention to get our dessert and coofee after dinner, but after waiting half an hour for someone to pick up the plates we decided dont ask for anything else. Very dissapointed not even having an excuse from the server about the bad service and just the coment of we didnt charge you the skillet mushrooms...off course how are you going to charge something we never get. I think Batom Rouge Oakville loose today a couple of clients.

Just had to comment about our amazing experience on Friday night at Baton Rouge! First off we were seated right away - and greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable sever (we even asked her name so we could write this review ) Ursula helped us decide on our meals and was so super friendly and kind ! We orders the crispy shrimp, ribs and Santa Fe chicken (mouth watering !!) we would recommend this place for its food its customer service and its ambiance too! So so impressed ! We were so caught up in the moment we didn t have a chance to take photos or we would have ! Thank you Ursula and the staff at Baton for making my 10 Year wedding anniversary all the more special !

We had an amazing time when we came here to celebrate my dad s 50th birthday. Our server Ursula and the manager Kareem were very kind, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The cocktails were fantastic, the food was delicious and the portions were huge.

Came here for dinner tonight with some friends and had an overall great experience! The food was good, but what made this experience really special was our server Bri - she gave great food & drink recommendations and was super attentive. Would come back again just to have her serve us again.

Came here for my birthday dinner, made a reservation 2 weeks prior for me and my friends. Ended up having to wait 40 minutes at the front with all my friends waiting to be seated and when asked about it was simply brushed off. Really wanted to love it as we were all hungry and in a good mood. Our server was lovely though but what happened at the beginning was unbelievable and totally unexpected due to the reviews.

Casey our server was super helpful. We really wanted to try the black forest cake which was on the festive offerings and it did not disappoint!

Food quality was horrible, nothing was seasoned properly, i got the prime rib burger, there was no flavor to it, was really bland. Bread was poorly cooked, Service was slow, i had to ask for cutlery when every other table already had it there, my date had to get up and get a take out container from the front. This was my very first experienc dining at Baton Rouge, & i was not impressed.

This restaurant needs an upgrade in maintenance, decor and desire to provide good customer experience. It seems that it never gets regular maintenance work done. Washrooms were NOT clean; the kitchen area was messy. Food was just ok; however, portions and service for the price is definitely way way over priced when compared with other Canadian chain steakhouses. Funny that I had to ask for a steak knife that actually works!!!! The servers were friendly but seemed over-worked. And surely, the manager didn t care when we mentioned that the window next to where we were sitting was broken and we were cold! Overall NOT a wow experience and definitely would recommend another place for your special occasion. Should have gone to CN tower instead would have been better value for the money!

First time, coming here, really cozy, easy amount of price and its fun to wine and dine although I just dined with family. I got the shrimp linguini, Service is awesome! And they tailor to your needs of diet like no alcohol or if its no meat or vegetarian. I left happy and its recommended to come here and enjoy.

Very good steak, reviews say halal but ONLY ONE STEAK IS HALAL. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever, customer service was average, food was amazing, and a normal steakhouse environment. Overall, 3.5-4 stars

Food was pretty good but not good enough to make up for the horrible service. Lot s of great restaurants in the area, suggest skipping this one.
