Beacon in Oakville

Saturday night dinner and the place is very lively. Four of us enjoyed a drink at the bar before dinner reservation, and although I had to send 2 draft beers back due to no carbonation, the bartenders remained attentive and willing to rectify any wrong. Hostess was very pleasant and servers welcoming. Food menu had good choices to choose from and our table settled on a charcuterie board to start (enough for 4) and the grilled octopus which was smothered in sauce (a bit too much for me). Mains ordered were Sea Bass (excellent flavours but quite rich), branzino (large portion and flavourful), papperdel (large and flavourful) and steak frites (tasty and well cooked). Drink selection is well appointed. Would definitely return for a meal with friends and family!

Amazing service and food! Can t go wrong going here. And the ambiance is elite.

If youre a grown adult and you miss the days when bouncers told you where you can and where you cant stand or sit, then this is the place for you.

Fancy cocktails, open until 2, DJs tracks were spot on. Dimly lit by candles late nights makes an elegant atmosphere to do a couple of tequila shots. Prices attract people who can afford to be there Parking: Went late for a couple drinks, so parking on the street wasnt an issue.

This restaurant has a great vibe for Oakville. The food steak was done perfectly as well as the fish dish. Will definitely be back!

Service was ok, but the oysters was not fresh and all night I was having a food poisoning. Not recommending this place for food

This is an updated review after a bad incident with beacon. George and Marcos went out of their way to make sure that our experience and feeling towards Beacon was top notch. They went our of their way to make sure we had a good night when we went back. I congratulate them for their attention to detail, customer service and great vibes. Well done, keep it up. Here is to many great nights at Beacon.

Food was fantastic and the atmosphere of the place is so lovely for an evening out! Service could have been slightly better for what you pay for. The cocktails, burrata and steak were amazing. Just on the pricey side for what you get!

Birthday lunch Waited 30 mins for drinks (beers, one cocktail) got them after going to the bar myself. Over 45 mins for 2 sandwiches, one salad and 2 kids meals . Service was terrible, restaurant was not busy at all 6tables outside 4 waitresses! When we finally got our meals they were cold . Will not be going back .

This place is worth every penny! Service: Firstly Sura is by far one of the most amazing humans. Outstanding customer service and she is genuine with her actions. She truly cares about your experience. She leads the other incredible wait staff. My 3rd time visiting and each time they are always on point. You hear them chatting with customers. They are really high quality servers. Food: I have a lot of food allergies and they made certain everything was safe. My kids lovedddddd their burgers and hubby said his sea bass was delicious. Cooked to perfection. The portions are generou. Everthing was tasty! Including the mock tails. The freshness was worth the wait!!!! We loved it. Atmosphere: You need to experience it. Its beautiful. Enter through the back is a lil different. But just a great spot in Oakville

A must visit with a very cool vibe and ambience - interior is smart and cosy and the cocktails are very good.

Nice vibe, nice drinks, great service, BUT, it always bothers me when the bill comes and the prices are higher than whats shown on the menu. And the waitress excuse that oh, the menu needs to be updated, just... doesnt.. sit ... well

Another great restaurant on Lakeshore in Oakville. I recommend the seafood tower soley because they bring out a little firework with it.

Nice patio, decent food, beer on tap was warm

Some of the best food I ve had in a while but what really made this experience memorable was the service being absolutely stellar, they were very patient with us and extremely accommodating to our group, the drinks were also phenomenal

Charged for every coffee refill. Wed been here several times but this was our last. We ordered regular coffee with our brunch, learning we were charged for every refill. $26 in coffee? They should have told us they dont serve coffee, but likely Americanos and will charge for every cup. Restaurants are getting out of hand. The food was fine but well be eating in other places from now on that are just as good, or better.

I rarely leave reviews but my husband and I came here for my birthday. The service was terrible, I think we waited over 25 minutes just for a drink. My husbands drink wasn t even elaborate it was a beer and when it came it was the wrong one. It took a really long time to even take our orders and when our mains came out, they came out incorrectly too. The staff wasn t apologetic and were moving at the slowest pace, it wasn t even that busy. I m really disappointed as someone told me to try this place out but I would actually discourage anyone from eating here and won t be returning.

Outdoor seating available, it has fire place for cozy feeling, they serves great cocktails. Anytime I ordered it was absolutely delicious. Best restaurant been to

The place is nice and the food is average but the waitress take the wrong order and when the wrong plate came I told them I didn t order this and they said oh sorry, you can keep the wrong plate and we ll bring you what you order. And then they charged us for the wrong plate even though we didn t ask for it. If they made the mistake they shouldn t charge the client for it.

The vibe was really fun, one of the 2 places open later that 12 in Oakville. Very mature crowd, over 26yrs. Good music too and great drinks.

I did not think of Beacon as a brunch place, but we stopped in there on Sunday as our intended destination was full. The brunch menu was great and the food even better. It was one of the best omelette I can remember. The staff was also friendly and attentative.

We have been wanting to check this restaurant out for quite a while. Went for a drink a year ago and it spoke to us. Todays Lunch: To start, a small Tap Lager and a glass of California Cab Sav(no mention of name or selection, just one), I ordered 1 glass. The server opened a bottle at the table and poured such a minute amount we both thought she must have misunderstood and I had actually ordered a bottle and what she poured was a sample and she would keep checking to see if I wanted more. Nope! that 2 sips (without measuring) apparently is 5oz (the menu doesnt specify ounces per glass for $15.00 or $65.00 for bottle). We were offered water and accepted but it was just shy of luke warm. We shared One Caesar Salad, then 2 strip loins that is only offered with truffle fries(?), no other starch option, no vegetables and only option is to have their house salad or soup. So the plate was loaded with truffle fries(?) to fill the big plate and a 10 ounce(?) Strip Loins(at best 8 ounce and if it matters it is USDA, in Canada). I had med/rare, my guest had med/well. No dessert. The fries were disgusting(we each ate maybe 3, the meat was was so darn tough our steaks slid across our plates and the plates slid across the slippery table as wells fries off our plates. For this 45 minutes (we couldnt get out fast enough!), we Paid $200.00 Cash, including a tip, we didnt want to leave, but it wasnt the servers fault. It was SO BAD, we couldnt/wouldnt complain or send back, that feeling told me everything. We did although mention the above as a critique and they never offered options, so we will never go back! Further we have been suggesting Beacon to many friends and colleagues to check the place out. We will be letting them all and more know to not waste their $$$ or time at Beacon. Parking: paid $4.75 for the pleasure

Favourite spot in Oakville for great cocktails and food, with stellar service!

Came with friends for a night out. Great burger. The staff was helpful. The management was great and took care of us.

A Disappointing Experience at Beacon. I recently dined at Beacon, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered the ravioli for dinner, and it turned out to be a decision I deeply regret. The first thing that struck me about the ravioli was its excessive oiliness and an overwhelming amount of garlic. The dish was so drenched in oil that it felt more like I was consuming a bowl of garlic-infused olive oil rather than enjoying a delicate pasta dish. I flagged this issue with the waitress, who was courteous enough to remove the dish from the bill as a gesture of goodwill. However, the aftermath of that dinner was nothing short of a nightmare. I had not consumed anything else that day, and shortly after leaving Beacon, I began to feel severely ill. The symptoms escalated into a bout of intense food poisoning, leaving me bedridden and thoroughly regretting my decision to dine at Beacon. The experience has left me hesitant to revisit Beacon in the future. Its disheartening when a dining experience not only fails to meet expectations but also results in such significant health consequences. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others considering dining at Beacon. Food safety and quality should always be a top priority for any establishment, and unfortunately, my recent visit left me questioning whether those standards were upheld at this particular restaurant.

Had an amazing evening at Beacon. I have been wanting to try this place for months and finally gathered 5 of my closest friends for dinner this evening. Alex was out server and gave us amazing recommendations, from wine to appetizers to entrees!! She was very attentive and helpful. We had a variety of dishes, from the mussels (Thai, and calabrese) tuna tartare (best I ve ever had ) , burger (amazing), salmon and veal schnitzel. Cocktails were also amazing. Overall great service and great ambiance! Can t wait to go back

I attended a networking event at the Beacon. It took place in the pub area which is quite large. Pub food served was tasty and service good. Great location downtown Oakville.

We visited for lunch today for a group of 7 people and had a great experience. Delicious food, nice ambience, waitress was helpful and friendly. Some in the group had dietary restrictions and they accommodated them very well and gave different options for preparing the dish. I ordered the thai mussels and the mussels were fresh and the broth tasted amazing. Salmon, Burger and chicken were also very good and tasty! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Only thing that could improve would be a faster service, we were there for 3 hours. But overall, I would recommend to a friend and would come back next time we re in Oakville! Dietary restrictions: mentioned above, dietary restrictions were accommodated nicely.

Off the beaten track, the lounge part of Beacons success comes from the fact that it is a bit of a hidden gem tucked at the end of a downtown Oakville alleyway. Hopefully this does not also become its downfall... the difference in customer volume between daytime and evening is considerable. At night, this is a sophisticated wine/cocktail bar with a more upmarket clientele than some other local bars. Unlike other bars, the atmosphere is more intimate and less of a chain pub type vibe. Hang out with a couple of mates or bring your significant other, youll be back. During the day, it is pretty much the same but much quieter and without the same ambience of a thriving hangout spot. Restaurant menu looks great... although I didnt try anything this time but will surely be back to taste whats on offer. One mustnt forget that this is actually a restaurant with a wine bar (and not the other way round) as I clearly did in my review above. Eventually I will fix that impression.

Amazing!!!! Wow!!! The aesthetics, the energy, the service, the food, the drinks, all incredible. We spent a full two hours here and our server (I believe his name was Thomas) was an absolute delight. He was super funny and helpful and definitely elevated our experience. As for the food, I was expecting it to be good but it was capital f Fantastic. From plating to the flavour, I dont have a single complaint. The cocktails were also wonderful. As all things in this restaurant, they were absolutely beautiful, flavourful, and refined. They were not fruity, sugary cocktails, so if thats what look you for in a cocktail then I would definitely talk to your waiter about your preferences. It definitely got louder as the night went on so if you prefer a more quiet experience, definitely go earlier in the night or perhaps on a weekday. We showed up for 7, which is already heading into later in the evening. For us, this only contributed to the whole experience and made it more fun, but I can imagine it might be overwhelming for some! Already planning on coming back here to celebrate... something. No idea what yet, just waiting for a reason to pop up!

Good brunch menu!

We had a table of 8 for a birthday celebration. The overall experience and vibe was enjoyable. Our server (Lexi) provided amazing service while being both kind and attentive. She was also extremely professional considering a couple other patrons at the bar who were not being very kind early in the night. She maintained a positive ambiance and mood throughout the night which our group appreciated. The food was great on all fronts. The Roasted Chicken and Veal Schnitzel seemed to get the highest marks. The fried mushroom and arancini appetizers were also a winner. Look forward to our next meal there!

Im already planning my next meal at Beacon... the food was absolutely delicious. Started with the arancini which was so tasty. Then had the pan seared salmon which was beautiful. This restaurant is very much like one youd see downtown Toronto, a loungy vibe with a bit more mature clientele, turning into an upscale bar with DJ after 9pm. A nice change to the usual restaurants you see downtown Oakville. There was no trouble making a dinner reservation. The place really only seems to get busy around 9. Friendly and attentive service. It took a bit of time to get the bill and pay once wed finished our meal, but luckily we were not in a rush. The place could use a bit better lighting as it was difficult to read the menu unless youre directly under one of the lights. Overall a great experience. I look forward to returning for patio dining next time!

Food was amazing and great service

I recently went to Beacon for my SILs birthday dinner. Let me tell you... I have never eaten such a delicious salad.. I highly recommend trying the COBB salad.

Amazing DJ experience throughout the weekend, very rare in a town like Oakville. Bar rails are premium and still affordable. The kitchen staff really care about their dishes and the mussels were amazing!!! The menu is large and accommodates variety of options whether you are looking for lunch, dinner, or snacking. Service staff are very friendly and energetic. Bella is especially amazing at the bar and knows how to take care of clients. Alexander at the bar is also a very sweet man. Thank you Beacon crew, my friends and I will be back very soon.

What a delightful experience we had at Beacon in Downtown Oakville! Great place for dinner or a cocktail any time of the week! Beacon has the best food/drinks, service and atmosphere in downtown Oakville. We were served by Jason who was very professional & welcoming throughout the entire time. I would highly recommend Beacon to anyone looking to dine in the lakeshore area.

Great restaurant with delicious food!

Cocktails are great! Amazing place for just drinks. If you are a food lover I truly advise you to look elsewhere. Food is flavourless, dry, and lacking imagination. When it comes to the menu, I was left looking for more.

The ravioli was overdone on the edges, almost rubbery. Seemed to have spent too much time in a microwave and... it wasnt served warm enough for my liking.

One of my favourite places to go for quality food and quality service. The design is luxurious sexy without it being over the top, always feel comfortable and at home with an elevated touch. We love love loveee Bella. She usually is the great bartender you see behind the bar AND last time we had her as a server and she s next level! Definitely ask for her when you go! I promise a great experience. With anyone and especially her. I got their new sea bass that they just put on their new menu. With charred broccolini on the side (it comes with it now)! Definitely one of the best dishes I ve had there. The red wine list is yummy, very particular with my wine. The champagne is great but the prosecco was my go to with any fish. On the weekends there s usually great music, with a DJ and people tend to interact with each other. So even if you go solo, sit at the bar and you ll connect with cool people. On point VIBE 100% go go go!!! It does get packed on weekends, so book in, but they re pretty chill with you eating at the bar, actually one of my favourite areas of the place. Vegetarian options: I don t eat on land meat, they have great fish and seafood options. I haven t had anything solely vegetarian, other than apps. Dietary restrictions: I have a sensitive digestion and I ve always felt great after I ve eaten here.

Just had Sunday Brunch at Beacon Social House in Oakville today with two of my adult kids and an older nephew. Not cheap but excellent food and service. The Thai Mussels and Rack of Lamb were particularly nice. Overall a very suitable place for our low key celebration. Judging by the menu and our meals today it could also be a nice place for dinner and/or early evening or later evening drinks cocktails etc. Will definitely go back.

Good ambience, Amazing live DJ, Great music, drinks and overall feel of place. But the menu lacked vegetarian options, which were very limited and it didnt even highlighted which ones are vegetarian. Food was the only thing that disappointed us. Vegetarian options: If youre hungry and looking a Vegetarian meal, this place is not for you.

We had a party of 13 and we were given a location that allowed us to celebrate without disturbing other patrons. The brunch menu is small but the quality of the food was excellent. A couple of our guests, who didn t want a dish from the brunch much menu, were able to order off the main menu. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate our requests and checked on is periodically without being invasive. Overall we were most pleased with all aspects of our visit, and wouldn t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

I like the bar on the weekend, tho I ve come twice during the week and the lighting is intolerable it s far too bright and I presume it s for those that wish to dine in the bar but this was not apparent when I was there everyone was just having cocktails and both my company and myself thought the lighting was far too bright Still a great spot on the weekends tho They have done a nice with this venue !!

Beautiful spot, chic decor that reminds you of a hotel lobby. Had a great time at dinner at this fabulous location - wonderful to see the location back and thriving. Enjoyed cocktails and dinner. One suggestion if I may, the patio which will be lovely this summer has quite a bit of rubbish that has piled up under the deck (facing Lakeshore). Would be nice to have that cleaned up. Would definitely return - thanks for the great service and food.

Wow, what a fantastic new restaurant - just what downtown Oakville needs. Service, food and wine was exceptional and we loved the decor and ambiance of Beacon as a whole. Will definitely be visiting again in the not too distant future.

This restaurant has a fabulous ambiance, the music was great and the overall atmosphere was really nice. The food and drinks are amazing so I give 10/10 for that. However, the experience with our server was what really ruined it and took away from our entire experience which is a shame. The service does need a lot of work, and their uniforms do not compliment the restaurant s atmosphere at all. Our server took forever to come back to our table, and she never came back when we wanted to order dessert. 25 minutes passed and we said forget dessert, and we waived down another server to give us our bill. I thought at least when we did that, our original server would come back but she did not, she just stood in the area near the bathrooms with her back facing us. Very disappointed as this restaurant has so much potential and this was for Mother s Day. They need to train their staff better because quite frankly, Jack Astor s has given us far better service then this.

Classy and elegant restaurant. My only one downside was the garbage bins at the entrance to get into the restaurant, weren t very welcoming. The service was amazing, food was high quality and wine selection was plenty. Definitely will be back.

The service is garbage here no service! The food is good! Can t get a drink or a smile. The music is nice! But that s about it the bar tenders take 45 mins for a martini or bottle of wine. Our apps came to the table before our bottle of wine and glasses. We requested the bill and that process was over 25 minutes we would have ordered coffee and dessert, but could not sit around watching the waitress and team chit chat behind the bar any longer . Thirty and hungry starved or service and respect Terrible place . Nice music though

Very nice place, great decor inside but we sat on the patio. Food and cocktails were really good. Calabrese mussels were a bit spicy but tasted great. Burger with truffle fries was particularly good.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food is incredible and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. They will make you a custom cocktail based on what you like. Mack also made my wife an amazing non alcoholic drink. This place is what Oakville needed.

I m always skeptical when a new place claims they have great cocktails, but Beacon delivers. Food and service both great, but the signature cocktails really are special as well as their takes on the standards like my espresso martini. Loved Beacon, a lovely new addition to downtown Oakville!

My wife and myself literary waited 15 -20 min and weren t served. Worst place for service..and take this in ..they weren t busy. This place is a joke!!

I went for a business lunch for the first time. Incredible atmosphere and lovely staff. I really enjoyed the goat cheese salad I ordered. I will definitely return again soon. Highly recommend.

So, good atmosphere and initial review would have been 4 star plus, but after 90 min, no-one had come to get our food order( we did tell them we were ready to put that in). Large party was gathering at a private event inside, so you would think they would want to get their other patrons orders in before hand. Anyhow, food came finally and steak was rare instead of med rare and they forgot the side. Lost our initial waitress and only figured that out when we asked if they could get her so we could order. Shouldn t have had to ask. Would I try it again, probably as they have great patio space. To note, you enter from the back, way down the lane. You cannot see the sign in front as the door that has the sign on it that tells you where to enter, goes to the kitchen and it was open, so signage wasn t visible. The old Corks, you entered from the street side at the front.

Brand new, not too pricey, food ok. Overall nice.

Jake was the best bartender I have ever had. He chatted with us and kept us entertained all night. Would come back just for him!

Nice atmosphere and the service started off great. Unfortunately we waited a very long time for our food to come even though they werent very busy, and our server wasn t very attentive. We were told that it was taking so long because we ordered the meat to be well done. Obviously it was just an excuse on their part and everyone knew it. Hopefully you ll have a better experience, maybe they were just having an off day.

Tried Beacon for the first time while visiting Oakville this past weekend and we had a great experience! Alek and Jake at the bar provided great service and make an amazing Martini. Our server Jessica was very accommodating and friendly. The food is excellent and reasonably priced considering the quality. Very fun atmosphere, we will return next time we visit!

I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who really wants to enjoy a nice atmosphere and a great food, the bar is amazing, the servers are all well trained and kind, those guys don t play around, they really want to make the guests happy! It s by far my new favorite restaurant and also my new favorite bar!

An absolute gem. An amazing experience that I will never forget. I cannot wait to continue to support this establishment. The food was spectacular. Fresh oysters and an unforgettable ravioli. This experience from beginning to end was amazing. Frank our waiter was awesome. Gave us his suggestions and was friendly and talented. He made us some mock cocktails that should be on the menu because it was a party in my mouth. I had the Cobb salad, it was really good and satisfying. My daughter had the Asiago cheese ravioli, YOU NEED TO TRY IT!! BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. The burger was also pretty darn great. We had oysters too. (Forgot to take a picture) first time ever trying an oyster and it was fresh and delicious. Id definitely come back, sit on the patio, have a few drinks that Frank made and eat the ravioli and oysters.

Incredible food and cocktails! Oakville needed a place like this badly

Food was good, but wow we were so disappointed with the service. My friend and I came here for dinner and we were completely forgotten about by our server. We had to remind our server 3 times for my friend s drink, and twice for mine (until I cancelled it as we were almost done eating). She was very attentive to the parties next to us, but skipped over us until I cancelled my drink. She also added an 18% gratuity to our bill automatically without notice. When I asked, she said it was due to the debit machines being down because of the Rogers outage (which didn t really make sense to us, we both were paying with credit and that machine was working). We both always tip and were were a bit shocked, especially considering she did not do that to the table next to ours (we saw on our way out). Not sure if it was just an off night, but as two younger women, we did not feel seen or valued.

Great spot in Downtown Oakville. A good variety of food and cocktails - and good portion sizes, will be back. Shoutout to Thomas for taking care of us!

The ambience is like a supper club. Low ceilings, candlelight, tables nestled together. DJs Friday and Saturday. Great cocktail choices that are thoughtfully curated. Its a nice place if you can wrap your head around entering the place from the back right by the dumpsters (management: please rethink this one) We had the calamari and drinks, but I noticed the neighboring table got a stake that Im certainly going back for! See you soon. But please let me enter from the front not the backdoor like the help.

I went to beacon twice. Their great food for great prices keeps me going back! I also love that they stay open late, makes it a good late night option. However, i will say that the service does disappoint me. Not sure if it is because they are under staffed but it takes incredibly long to receive a menu, get your order taken and even for the food to get to the table. No matter how empty the restaurant is these issues are still there. However other than the service being inconvenient i do still enjoy coming here.

A great atmosphere with very friendly staff and service. Colourful drink and food menu options that will serve any palette. Highly recommend the fried oyster mushrooms. Would certainly visit again!

Delicious food and drink options and a great atmosphere that is family friendly. First time I tried oysters and they did not disappoint. My husband and I shared the cowboy steak and it was very well cooked with good portion for the both of us. Will definitely visit again!

Update : place again . Great bartenders great food and the most horrid service ! The server had foooooood in her mouth talking to us saying sorry I just had a granola IM SHOOOOOOK !! Seriously shook ! Food & Drinks was ahhhhmazing ambiance beautiful in the heart of Oakville . Service was absolutely horrid ! First off no coasters ! Drinks were over spilling everywhere! Server not one brought us side plates one of them didn t even know what a coaster was and get this literally waited 45-1 hr for the bill ! Are you kidding !

Trendy new spot getting a lot of buzz so had to check it out. Very swank looking, high end, great DJ Derek on Saturday, fun bar staff, get dressed up for an evening here. Also beautiful patio - in same location where Corks used to be.

There must be something awry with the service staff (one male server in particular) maybe better characterized as disservice staff... disorganized, inattentive, and almost offensive in their dishonesty and indifference.

Love the staff, food, drinks and decor. Oakville has been waiting for a place like this. We have been six times and have run out of new things to eat so are hesitant to return. Every time we are promised something new is coming.

Beacon absolutely exceeded my expectations and their current Google rating is not reflective of how great they are; they deserve a minimum of 4.7 in my opinion! The service was top-notch; friendly, frequent and welcoming. Their cocktails are the best Ive had in Oakville! And their food was artisanal, high-end and delicious to the last bite :) Thank you for making my parents 40th wedding anniversary dinner a beautiful experience!

So I went to beacon back in June for my husbands birthday dinner. Hair in my entree (ravioli), and service was only ok. But then I went in this past Friday night Aug 12th for drinks. The DJ was UNREAL and had all the people dancing and enjoy themselves. He played newstuff and the oldies so everyone enjoyed. I m in my late 20s and was enjoying myself with people who were in later 40s and the DJ played for everyone. I ll be back if they keep that DJ coming. The bartender was great too!

Sadly V. Bad service, although three were plenty of tables up front on the patio, we were told we cant sit there because no server! + loud horrible music!

Food was tasty, we had the arancini, steak and frites, and Ravioli. But, it took approximately an hour to serve, and the excuse was that the steak is taking longer than expected, then we got a hair under the fries. So not the greatest experience.

The service was the worst I have ever experienced. The server was rude and condescending. The food was excellent but the bad service and excessively hot restaurant ruined the experience!!! 2 stars only because the food was actually good, otherwise I would give it 0 based on the overall experience.

Fun Italian spot with great food and drinks, service and patio! Everything was well prepared and delicious. The rice lagers are a must try.

We had a great anniversary dinner. Food preparation was excellent. Cocktails were full of character. Note: the Carribean Breakfast cocktail is smokey. If you love cigars you will love this drink.

Sophisticated decor, friendly waitstaff and plentiful menu. Lots of choices. We had the Sea Bass and the Steak frites which we both enjoyed. Well visit again soon.

Weve been to Beacon a few times and all I can say - the food is amazing as well as the presentation, to top it all - the price point is very reasonable than most of the restaurants around downtown Oakville. We were blown away by their service, very well-trained staff and they always make sure you are having a great experience. We definitely will come back and highly recommend Beacon if you want to have a great dine-in experience.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was poor. Ravioli was served just above room temperature. Veal schnitzel was tough and over cooked. Disappointing.

Our server Sarah was delightful and professional. Our meals were delicious and well presented. However the atmosphere was much to be desired. Trying to order off the menu was a challenge, lots were digging phones to use the flashlight, just to read the menu. Our table of 8 found it difficult to have a conversation as the music was loud, and increased in volume after 2000 when we were still dining. I don t know who you are catering to, as the average age we saw dining was well over 50. When we were leaving, the bar area was basically empty 2 guys at the bar! No one in our group would be keen on returning to have dinners there, in spite of the food being good. Sad as the decor looks good.
