Worst pizza I ve ever had. Ordered cauliflower crust margherita - it was awful. And cold. And hard as a rock. And yes I ve had cauliflower crust before. Also order kids cheese pizza and they were polite to call me to tell me they were out of cookies so they would do pizza regular size BUT they made it pepperoni. I did not want pepperoni and didn t know until we were home and it was too late. I had great expectations for this place being located downtown Oakville - we will never return - was of $77 What was good - my husband said the dough bites were good.

Tables drink bar ,napkins bar is extremely sticky and dirty . I had to ask to change their gloves before doing my pizza since he was taking order of mine and ppl before me ( with same gloves) Found out at the end they dont wash the trays they remove the paper from the top add a new one and serve next customer with the same tray. As if we are eating from same plates everyone!! Never going to this restaurant again.

I visited Dough Box Pizza at 9:44 PM and was disappointed to find the store already closed, even though their Google Maps listing indicates they close at 10 PM. I drove 16 minutes to get there, only to be turned away. This is very frustrating and misleading. Please update your hours accurately to avoid inconveniencing other customers.

Yesterday I visited dough box nd I ordered classic margarita and rustic veggie pizza with drinks . It was a delicious pizza because of its crust . And the customer service was amazing .Staff was very kind and friendly. I will recommend you all to visit this place definitely at least one time

Spacious sitting area. Fresh stone oven pizzas. Had the Twisted Club pizza and all ingredients were fresh. Pizza base had the perfect crisp at the bottom and the softness at the top. Good quality ingredients. Gameday Deal will be my next order. Went the 2nd time and Julia served my family like a champ!

We ordered two pizzas that were not halal on accident. The manager was extremely kind presented us with hospitality that I have yet to see at any restaurant. He made us a free pizza and garlic bread. The food was amazing and out of this world. If you are looking for some of the best halal pizzas, dont overlook this place. Also got great deals.

First time trying a different Dough box location other than the Mississauga Latimer Drive location and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. First, I ordered pizzas for pickup online and asked to have it ready at a specific time when I would be picking it up and I got a text message 25 minutes before that time saying the order was ready for pickup. Next I ordered the wild pepperoni and there was literally next to no toppings on the pizza. If you have the option of going to the Mississauga location go there instead

The photo attached is supposed to be garlic cheese bread. The worst ever garlic cheese bread. Not sure if Arif is just an employee or the owner, but worst service ever. The guy was super rude, incapable of handling a busy Saturday lunch time with just one poor young girl to man the station. Irrespective of whether he was short-staffed for whatever reason, the guy needs to learn some basic customer service and crisis management skills. The food was bad to say the least - the bianco is the worst chicken pizza I have ever had, and the garlic cheese bread just made me laugh - it was an absolute undercooked joke. Also, we all left the restaurant feeling super bad for the poor girl who was being yelled at - I almost wanted to tell her to quit this restaurant for her own sanity. Never ever going back to this place.

Had friends from out of town and we came here 2 times. The Chicagoan in our group found the pizza to be very good. The Mexican friend loved both the pasta and Pizza. I was impressed as the service was Fantastic. As a local, I am switching my monthly pizza to the Dough box. Love the tastiness of the pasta and the pizza. Cant wait to try the wings. Be patient astl the pizzas are made as you order. So worth the wait . I stopped off today to tell the owner how great the experience was for my Vegetarian options: We chose to make our own pizza and it was great!

Their wood fire pizzas are delicious. They have vegan options including the dough, sauces and cheese. They cater to everyone. The dough is light and does not cause any bloating. Overall a great experience. Whether it is for a quick snack, or an enjoyable sit in experience. I m very happy with my experience and will be back again. We visited the Doughbox in Oakville recently & the food experience was very satisfying. The owner is very hardworking and was on duty alone managing the whole place, which commends respect, given it was a busy weekend, especially during summer when everyone is out basking in sun.

I recently have been on a dairy-free and gluten-free diet due to discovering some intolerances. I have ordered their gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese and other toppings twice now, and I have not been disappointed! I feel like I can participate in family pizza night without being left out and still enjoying a yummy pizza! Thanks Doughbox for offering this option for customers like me :)

Husband went to pick up an order of one pasta and two pizzas . He was charged double because they didn t make it a combo when it could have been, and when my husband brought it to his attention the guy there apologized because he didn t hear despite literally no one else being there. Then when the error was brought to his attention he offered a crappy free fountain drink to make up for it. My husband and dad were being rushed by whoever was taking their order- he was impatient and super short with them, extremely poor attitude. And then said some truly out of pocket things, like asking where we live - making assumptions etc. The cherry on top is that both pizzas were trash and the pasta was bland and flavourless. Save your $ and find better food somewhere else.

Understaffed during rush hours. Staff didn t had knowledge about the menu. Rude response to any questions other than asking for the order. We ordered create your own pizza with Basil Pesto base, however we couldn t even taste the flavor of basil pesto. Seems like they were making pizza for the sake of it. Overall, very disappointed with service and food.

Common courtesy you bring you re customers plates and utensils when they are sitting in the dining area you dont wait for them to ask for it,and it must be something new to call the customer to pick up the pizza while the pan is still hot. I very rarely write reviews even when the service is not that great ,but honestly Im very disappointed with the service

Never been to a restaurant in business that proudly serves salads with frozen cucumber slices Pizzas were mediocre. Also, they didnt have to ask where were coming from - China? South Korea? North Korea? I am proud of my nationality, but do not enjoy people asking these questions when they are obviously not interested in getting to know us. (And they dont have to be interested.)

Delicious pizza in downtown Oakville. Have been here 6 times since discovering it a few months ago and it never disappoints. The pizza is quite good, and they offer lots of customizations. I usually order from the website and it s super easy, plus they have a great rewards program that gets you free food pretty quickly. There is only one size of pizza and it s the perfect size for one person, not too big, not too small. Definitely try it out for pizza in downtown Oakville.

The pizza at Dough Box Oakville was mediocre. I had higher expectations, especially after being impressed by their Heartland Mississauga location when it first opened. The dining area could use some improvement to enhance the ambiance. While the staff were satisfactory, the atmosphere felt lacking, and I doubt Id revisit. There are superior pizza options nearby.

I am a person that doesn t normally leave reviews at all. I enjoy a lot of variety when it comes to food and I m never picky. When I tell you this place is the WORST I have ever seen I mean it on my mother. The pizza slices are unimaginably thin. To get an idea of how thin it is, search up New York s 99 cent pizza. Dough box provides the same thin pizza but 2x smaller and priced at $20. More popular places like Pizza Pizza, Dominos, etc has much better pizzas that are 19 and even 15 dollars sometimes. We got pepperoni pizza and the pepperoni was close to non existent! The smallest pepperonis EVER. Lastly, the pizzas were incredibly oily that I had to use the table napkins and dab-off the pizza slice several times. Me and 2 others left HUNGRY and filled with dissatisfaction. Don t even think about bringing more than one other person here.

This is the lightest amazing crust I have ever tasted. The flavour of our pizza was fantastic. Fast and friendly service with lots of seating. Will defiantly visit again.

I felt bad, since they only had one employee. The owner came in 20min later to help, but the food was horrible. They had a special outside that they did not want to honour, which was very odd. My kids pizzas were burnt, my wife got the wrong pizza, and my salad was missing chicken. They can improve with more employees. Luckily I did not pay for this meal, which made up for situation.

My family always finishes the pizzas I bring home before I even grab a slice lol. Thats how good the pizzas are. It is identical to an authentic Italian pizza with the wood fire in their special oven. Highly recommended!

Came in to get a pizza because the pizza place done the road was closed, it s true the staff are very kind and welcoming. However I wouldn t recommend buying pizza here it s not worth the money. I ve tried pizza from many chains and I believe this is the worst. Our pizza extra thin, like a crispy thin cracker, little to no sauce, and the cheese was quite scarce. After all the pizza has no flavour and was very underwhelming, something like a bad frozen pizza from the supermarket unfortunately :(

Honestly Im just disappointed. First time I ordered for pick up on Uber Eats and got 2 pizzas. For one of them I paid to add pineapples and goat cheese. I got my order, both add ons were missing and there were maybe a couple slivers of basil on the margarita. No problem I get it, I work in the food industry and I understand mistakes happen. I came in for the second time today with the same order except we also paid for extra basil on the margarita since last time there was basically none. Once again, all of the add ons were missing! Not only that but one of the pizzas was so overcooked the cheese was literally rock solid. I can tell this place has potential and if done right the pizzas can be amazing! Its just clear that the quality desperately needs to be improved.

Best pizza place in oakville

I love the pizza at this place. but I had a bad experience in The service arrived at 9:20 p.m. and the person in charge did not want to serve the table, he told me that it was only a take-out service, then I asked him for a Nutella pizza and he told me that it would not take 45 min either to do it (I know its not like that because Ive ordered it before) and that I wasnt going to spend all this time for a 10 dollar pizza. Because of this bad service I decided to go elsewhere.

Ordered last night for superbowl but it was the biggest regret cuz it was the blandest pizza I ve ever had. The four cheese pizza wasn t stretchy just crusty and barely had tomato sauce and the crust was rock hard and the pasta was so bland I had to re-season it. What a waste of money.

Great place for lunch with a spacious dining area. The pizzas here are amazing. This is my new favourite local pizza joint. The apple pecan salad was filling and tasty. Every time I get pizza here, it s always amazing. I highly recommended this place.

The best pizzas

The store employee told me to add this review online. We got two pizzas but one was missing the toppings that we paid for . The employee told me there is nothing that he can do about it as the pizza is already made. He told me that if I want I can post this horrible experience online.

Food was ok but their quantity is highly misleading. They have display boxes at the counter to give you an idea of what small and large would look like. We ordered couple of pastas and when we got our food the box was not even half filled. They straight away lost all the credibility. Highly disappointed with the misleading marketing stretegy. I would rather pay more at a restaurant that doesnot lie to your face.

Authentic wood fired pizza. Plenty of customized options to choose from. One of the few places with a sizeable seating capacity in downtown Oakville. Highly recommended!

My family including my 2 year old twins loved the pizza today. We have visited many times and are impressed each time we visit. The pizzas are exceptional. They are cooked to perfection. The owner takes great pride in his craft. The prices are also very reasonanle. Bravo. Kid-friendliness: They provided high chairs for my twins and accomodated them in every way.

Just ordered this pizza for delivery and its embarrassing..... its just burnt cardboard with hardly any toppings? Like no sauce and stale chicken. The chicken was so stale, we thought it was part of the crust. Vegetarians beware, as there were the tiniest amount of veggies on this pizza. Would never eat here again. Wow.

Ordered delivery for the first time from here...for the price you pay I was really disappointed. Do you want artichokes added to your pizza? Expect a few leafs scattered on for $1.95... The Veggie linguini was $10.95...and was also disappointing. Upside: the apple pecan salad was very good. You can do better for delivery from other places nearby. Gosh I dislike leaving a bad review.

Thought wed give it a try since its wood burning oven, which is supposed to lend flavor to the pizza, it didnt. They offer one size pie, the standard comes as a thin pie but you can ask for thick one. Toppings are not unlimited so if you build your own, you pay per topping or you can buy signature pie. You can remove toppings from the pie but to replace one you remove is extra. The ingredients are not fresh at all, they appear to be dried out or freezer burnt. The basil was not fresh, it was wilted and wet, pepperoni or sausage looked as though it had been sitting out and then returned to the fridge. If you do head here, its an average pizza joint, nothing to write home to nonna about. Dont be fooled by the names of the pizza like the Electric Avenue the jerk chicken is plain oven roast chicken, the only jerk part of it is the sprinkled spice they shake onto the pizza. I was surprised how good and delicious their Margherita pizza was! Its a perfect place to order pizza to go and enjoy it on a bench by the lake.

Great Pizza with great staff

Tried for the first time today. There will not be a second time. Its rare that I wont even give a place a second chance, but this one gets th e honour. I dont understand how a pizza can be so dry and overcooked without being burnt (barely). It was actually painful to eat as the crust cracked into jagged edges that stabbed at my tongue and inner cheeks. The chicken had the consistency of jerky, and Ive never had a bite of a less ripe avocado in my life - it had the consistency of unpopped popcorn. The dough, in addition to being insanely dry (I thought I chipped a tooth at one point) had a bizarre flavour utterly unlike what I expected. Ungenerous and poorly-distributed toppings (I actually had to separate a clump of onions that dominated a single slice, leaving 3 entire slices without an ounce) top off the worst pizza experience Ive had in living memory. Awful.

We had the twisted club and it was so good. The owner was extremely helpful and kind. It was obvious how much he cared about our experience, checking on us afterward. We would definitely go back and recommend.

Sorry but I had the Arugula Salad yesterday (takeout) and I was very disappointed! For $12.00 I would have thought to get more of the avacado and feta cheese was just a spoonful. Nothing chunky. It didnt even fill the bowl. That being said I have had their pizza and it was great. Please work on your salads!!

Just shared a margherita pizza with my husband for lunch. It was hot, fresh and delicious!! Perfect amount of sauce and cheese. We were greeted when we walked in and the restaurant was very clean. Great experience all around. Well definitely recommend and go back.

This place used to be good, just at the beginning. The last time I went to the place, I was impressed by the owners lack of respect for customers and employees. I had a Downtown Oakville gift card and I wanted to use it since the restaurant was on the list that accepted it. The attendant passed the gift card and I paid the rest on credit, it had worked. When the owner saw the scene, he approached me, questioning why the attendant let me use the gift card, which he said that they did not accept , and began to question whether I had paid or not. I had to show my bank app to prove I paid and he still asked me to call the number on the back of the gift card to find out if the balance was used. While I was doing this, he was rudely arguing with the employee who had done nothing wrong, even pulling her hand away from the screen by pulling her arm. Finally I proved that I paid and got to eat my pizza, which was practically dry and without toppings. While I was waiting for the pizza to be ready, he criticized the way the employee was preparing the next pizzas and adjusted it with his hand, without gloves, which was previously working on his cell phone.

The worse pizza I ever had, there were almost no toppings just dough in the box exactly like the name of this pizzeria. Avoid this place and save your money and health.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The owner was extremely disrespectful. Pizza was burnt, barely any pasta was given. There was a problem with the mobile system and my online order did not go through, I received a charge on my credit card and they did not give me the pizza. The simple solution was to give the pizza and call the a day and I could show proof that the money was charged. He proceeded to go cancel the payment through my credit card. At this point I was like whatever. I don t get the pizza, they don t get the money. Whatever. Then on the phone, I m sitting down with my friends eating pasta (pasta wasn t even filled, barely half was filled), and he waves me down multiple times, 5-10 meters away. He didn t come up to me to tell me what s going on, he waved me down like a waiter. He goes YOU and waves me down again to come to him. Sincerely, what is this? I m not a dog or a waiter. I don t work here. The port credit location is so much better, friendly staff, good pizza. Also the pizza was burnt Edit: they are lying in the reply. If you look at other review, you can see a lot of burnt overcooked pizzas. And I live with my single dad. Also, the owner was yelling at their employee forgot to add.

With thin, crispy pizza cooked right in the front of the customer, perfect portion sizes, and an ideal location in Downtown Oakville, Dough Box just became my new destination for an afternoon wheel.

First and foremost I do not like leaving 1 star reviews but after tonight this deserves it. I have come to dough box about half a dozen times and every time was great until tonight. Tried calling at 9:45 to place an order for pickup, call was answered and hung up multiple times. Arrived at the store at 10:00 to place an order for two pizzas. I was then told well we are getting ready to close I guess we can make two more dough sign says open until 11. During the process of payment I mentioned that I had tried to call and was told yeah we were busy so we do not answer, order online next time. To top it all off I get home and open the boxes and the cheese and pepperoni are raw. Had to pay for bad customer service and to go home to re-cook the pizza.

Went here before a show at the Oakville center. Staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick. Pizza was really good, we got the meat lovers and twisted club. Its a thin crust pizza that goes in a wood oven. I would definitely recommend this place if you like thin crust

The Pizza here is really yummy and tasty. I had it 3 times now the quality and taste is maintained. So would recommend.

Worst Pizza Experience Ever! Avoid At All Costs! Firstly, lets start with the pizza itself. The crust was burnt and lacked any flavor, making it almost inedible. The toppings were scarce and tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for hours. Considering this is supposed to be a wood-fired pizza joint, I expected a lot more in terms of quality. The overall taste left a lot to be desired, and for the high prices they charge, this was simply unacceptable. But what truly ruined my experience was the owners disrespectful behavior. He was rude, dismissive, and had a complete lack of regard for customer service. When I placed my order It felt like the owner couldnt be bothered to answer any of my questions or take my order seriously. I voiced my concerns about the quality of the pizza and customer service, he tries to brushed me off, His condescending attitude was terrible and made me have a super unpleasant time! Avoid This Place At All Costs!

I love doughbox in general and this time it also didn t disappoint. It has less of the wood oven flavor that I had hoped, but in general it was up to standards with great flavors. The location was great, in the heart of downtown Oakville, very pretty during the summer.

Went out for lunch to try out the Dough Box, and we ended up ordering a second pizza because the first one was SO good! It is the best pizza that we have had to date. Pizza dough is light and fluffy, cooked in an authentic pizza wood oven! The pizza sauce is made in house. The owner was so delightful, kind, talkative! Cannot wait to go back! Worth the try if you are a pizza lover!

really bad experience the taste of pizza and pasta is worst, the cheese taste like ghee and the vegetables are roted very obvious that there is something taste like expired on both food The guy who is making the food is using his hand without gloves or even washing his hands before start making the food right from taking the order in the cashier to the food We had a bite from pizza and tried the pasta too then left all the food on the table Soo it s a waist of money and time waiting for your order

My sister and I came here for a day date and it was exactly what we were looking for! Amazing wood fire burned pizza, we had a classic margarita & their signature electric island and both were delicious. The service was fast friendly and really added to our experience. I would highly recommend checking out this spot!

I was recommended to this place, I eat a lot of pizza badialis makers cowabunga ND even chain pizzas and frozen. I ordered pepperoni as I always do when trying a new spot cause if you do that right , I know your other pizzas will be good. I ordered pickup and 20 min later went to get it. Looked like it had been .are hours ago , very light on the pepperoni and crust was thin sure but rock hard. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had dont waste your money

We had the small vegetarian pasta. It was so small - maybe the size for a little kid. There were hardly any vegetables in it and the pasta was incredibly bland. Would not go here again! Vegetarian options: Veggie pasta - only one pasta dish that was vegetarian.

First time going and will be my last. The pizza wasnt too bad but only came in one size, and the dessert pizza wasnt an option as they ran out. The pasta on the other hand was pretty gross, we got the carbonate & tetrezini and the sauce tastes like it came out of a Walmart jar but then watered down? I couldnt even eat it. To top it off I waited an extra 35 minutes than my table mates because they got pizza, so I sat around for 35 minutes watching them eat tasty pizza only to get pasta that was a -1.

Mediocre pizza. They advertise wood fired but they use gas and there is a log in the oven, not burning, for show! Haha. More of a fast food joint.

Jason was every you d want in a man he was making the pizza s taking orders bringing em to our table. Jason made my first experience in Doughbox worth while and better than i could ever imagine and for that i am leaving this incredible review

Service was good but needs lots of improvement in food. Reply: someone suggested us to try doughbox and we were trying it for the first time. Bought 3 pizza from specialty: Margaritas, Veggie and buffalo chicken. Side Crust was burned not edible, we have higher expectations when it comes to firewood pizza but it was disappointing.

I truly despise giving negative reviews but with honest feedback it can bring positive improvements in a business. We ordered a vegan pizza with extra cost for cauliflower crust for $4. They meant it when said wood fire pizza because our pizza tasted like wood. Paid $20 for such small size portion (not worth it), which lacked taste as it was burnt and it literally had pinch of vegan cheese towards the end of the slices. When I complained to the owner, he said cauliflower tends to get burnt. Then why not mention to the customer before they pay extra $4??? Why even sell the cauliflower if it can t handle the wood fire. We threw half of the pizza out as it was quite burnt which left a bad aftertaste. Unfortunately the owner seemed to be understaffed as he visibly looked frustrated with 2 of his staff working. His tone of speaking towards his staff was not pleasant. The cashier was really nice but the owner was so mean to his staff it made me feel uncomfortable trying to order. The poor kids working there. He was so condescending and mean to them. The pizza was just okay. I got the Bianca and it was bitter and lacked flavour. The salad was not worth the price and don t ask for chicken because it doesn t look like chicken at all. It should be real grilled chicken if you re going to charge 4 dollars for it. Not worth the money. Go to blondies or even pizza nova is better.

I was embarrassed by how terrible this pizza was. Ordered two with gluten free crusts and took them to friends for a birthday.The crusts on both were like cardboard: The margarita pizza had a scraping of sauce on it, 4 pieces of cheese and so little basil that it may have been one shredded leaf cut up; the other was supposed to have avocado but I may have had the only tiny cube of it. There was leftover but we threw it out. Nasty experience

i have ordered from here 3 times through uber, and unfortunately every time i was disappointed. pizza was not warm, which is understandable because i guess it takes a while to get from the restaurant to my house. but what s not acceptable is the scarcity of the toppings and sauce they used. you could see the dough in some places (sauce not covering) and the toppings were TINY pieces of vegetables. like really small. the taste is good which is why i gave some stars but it s not worth the money for a cold pizza with barely anything on it. not sure if it is just mine because a lot of other reviews seem to be positive, but after several times of giving them a try and hoping it would be better, it just wasn t, and i m not impressed.

Holy smokes the smell! Everytime we go downtown we can smell the place a mile away...and it works...we grab a pie! Fresh and delicious, but definitely eat-in, unless you live close. It needs to be enjoyed fresh out of the oven!

Pizza was good (we ordered meat lovers), pasta - not so much (ordered carbonara). Staff was friendly except for the girl at the cash - didnt even greet us upon coming in, wasnt sure if they were closing up at 730 on a Friday so we just awkwardly stood there till someone looked at us. All she said when she walked towards us was you ready? then proceeded with pay over there which pasta did you want again?. Maybe this is more of a fast food joint type of place.

Quite disappointing not sure what else to say. Oval pizzas I guess are the new circle?!?!?!?! Anyway nothing special, pizza pizza is much better not sure why I even doubted it I means where s the love. Sloppy job spreading the ingredients, if I m going to pay 20+ dollars for a personal size pizza at least pretend to care. Honestly, how can anyone say FRESH ingredients when the jalapeños are pickled!!!! Pickling is the process of preserving or extending the shelf life of food by either anaerobic fermentation in brine or immersion in vinegar .does that mean fresh????

I live for the crust. You wouldnt expect it at first, but the crust with any of aoilis is divine when it first comes out of the oven. Tastes just like bread i used to grow up with. And the cheese is so good too, the way it melts is perfect on the pizza
